H and Ellie were amazing hosts. They made us feel welcome from the start, served fantastic homemade breakfast for us each morning with lots of local ingredients, provided information about the local area and were just all around fun to talk to. The treehouse itself was amazing as you can tell from the pictures. And the location is very secluded so it's a great private getaway. Having access to the house and hot tub was really nice. Small towns and local winery nearby. All in all a great experience.

H and Ellie have created an amazingly unique experience. They welcome you into their home and you imediatgely feel comfortable. You quickly come to realize that you not only get to enjoy the childhood fantasy of the ultimate tree house, but you get a chance to meet and know two special people. And the breakfast tops it all off. We been telling friends about our stay since we left. We will be back.

It's been exactly a week since we stayed in the treehouse and I wish we were there right now! It was a last minute getaway for our anniversary and it was perfection! We couldn't have asked for more generous hosts- thoughtful, funny and caring- each detail provided for us. Words will never describe the fantastic time we had and we hope to make it back soon!!!

We finally made it to the Tiny Fern Forest Treehouse last weekend, after almost 3 years of admiring it on AirBnB… and it quickly became clear that we were silly to wait so long. Even just heading there for a night felt more restful and rejuvenating – both for its setting, and for its hosts – than the 5-day trip we took the weekend before. It’s clear that next time we’ll be heading there at least 2 nights, and that it’s worth experiencing in each season. Ellie and H made us feel incredibly welcomed before we even arrived, but even more so once we got there – an added treat that the beautiful pictures on the site don’t communicate. And, of course, the treehouse itself was the exact retreat we were hoping for. Don’t miss the Bobcat Café in nearby Bristol, either! Indeed, we can’t wait to go back.

We have just left TheTiny Fern Tree House after a wonderful 2 night stay.  Ellie & H were fantastic hosts ; nothing was missing during our short stay.  H was great with his local information, allowing us to have a very full day of activities with lots of photographic opportunities.  The Tree House was fun, we had a good laugh at ourselves during our first attempt up the ladder to bed.  Thank goodness there were no cameras snapping during that time!  Each trip up the ladder became easier as we were determined not to opt out and retreat to the Guest Room in the main house.  The peaceful forest views and gentle breeze blowing through the windows laid the foundation for a wonderful deep sleep.   We can't describe the fantastic breakfast dished up during our stay, no words would give it justice! Perhaps delicious, sumptuous, plentiful & tasty may at least give you an idea. Thank you Ellie &Harrison we enjoyed ourselves very much. Bryan& Lyn, Melbourne Australia

There are so many wonderful reviews on this little treehouse and its hosts H and Ellie, and they are all correct. There is no way a person could have less than a 5 star experience. Don't think twice--- you should go.

Our stay with Ellie and H was perfect - they are interesting and engaged hosts who make it feel like you are an organic part of life in Lincoln, VT. Superlatives cannot do justice to their breakfast spread, and there's nothing to make you feel like a kid again like waking up, scrambling down the ladder, and stepping out onto the porch 30 feet up in the trees.

A must make a detour AirBNB destination that will delight! The scudding clouds on to the west with a glass of wine on a summer's evening was for me a fantastic bonus. With Middlebury and Bristol only 10 minutes away good eateries and bars are very accessible.

My experience with Ellen was a great one. She made me feel very comfortable from the moment that I arrived. And, since I would be there on New Year's Eve- she even made sure I had things to do when communicating with me ahead of time. The house was quiet and clean and peaceful- just what I was hoping for. I would recommend staying with Ellen in her beautiful Vermont home.

Words cannot describe how amazing Ellens home is. The most beautiful location, the house was so unique. Ellen was kind, helpful and made us feel very welcome. A true gem.

Ellen's place is great and I highly recommend it. The cabin itself is cozy with comfy beds, and the rest of the property is beautiful with Adirondack chairs pointed at the mountains that I wish we had more time for. While Ellen' place is just off the beaten path it is very close to Bristol with a nice downtown and Middlebury is just down the road too.

Ellen and Carl were fantastic and we loved our stay. So relaxing and such a great, friendly couple. Loved the animals! Beautiful home and unique country bedroom. So quiet, we slept like logs!

Ellen is a delightful person and cares very deeply for her animals. She and her dog greeted us and showed us around. After arriving my husband took a nap and Ellen invited me to sit in the yard with her and two of her friends who were visiting. It was a very quiet and beautiful area with flowers and views of the mountain side. The cabin is just as it looks in the picture. The room is large and very clean, with a good bed, and views of the barn, horses, and flowers. The nearby town of Bristol has great restaurants. The only drawbacks to this beautiful spot would be that the stairs to the room were very steep especially with the suitcases and that the bathroom is downstairs.

The setting with the backdrop of the mountains was breathtaking and magical. Ellen was very warm and hospital upon arrival, especially since I was fairly under the weather and chose to go directly to my room. Her tenant, Carl, was also very kind and offered tidbits of information about the surrounding areas and VT in general that I found very interesting. All of the small details of Ellen's home were exceptionally sweet and charming. The house always felt warm and cozy. It truly felt like staying in a fairy tale log cabin in the woods!

Gail was very gracious and welcoming as was her husband. A beautiful location and accommodation accurately described. An amazing breakfast. It was fun to make connections between our Plainfield friends and these hosts. We will definitely request to stay again when traveling north.

We had a great stay with Gail and Strat. They were warm, friendly, and gracious hosts. The breakfast each morning was fabulous (crepes, homemade granola, homemade jams, delicious coffee!) and we enjoyed getting to know both of them. Our quarters were immaculately clean and spacious; and the house itself was situated on a quiet road with spectacular views. We had dinner twice at Positive Pie, which is 5 minutes away in Plainfield. Also worth checking out in Plainfield is the bookstore.

The room was so comfortable and lovely, the area is incredibly beautiful and Gail and her husband could not have been nicer. We had the most delicious yogurt and blueberry crumble for breakfast, the coffee was great and everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend!!

Our host was very welcoming and helpful. The space was very comfortable and clean. The neighborhood was very quiet.

Gail is a very accommodating host. We stayed with her to go to a wedding in her town. She told us that when we got in late (after the party) if we needed anything we could wake her up!!! She made us a beautiful breakfast and was helpful in telling us about some local farms to visit. We had a nice chat over breakfast. You will actually have not only a bedroom but a private sitting room and private 1/2 bathroom. We plan on staying with Gail again when we visit beautiful Plainfield.

The house is located on the top of a hill that looks out into the mountains. It is a peaceful spot. Gail makes a very good breakfast, using mostly local food and ingredients from her garden. She also sat and talked with us at breakfast both days, and we really enjoyed her company. We recommend this host.

A joy to stay with Gail! She successfully made us feel right at home. Very clean and spacious accommodations. Delicious and nutritious breakfasts using local and organic ingredients. Even some late night treats and snacks! We love the privacy we felt, but know Gail was close by and available if needed. She had lots of information about local happenings and activities. We highly recommend this B&B!

Amy's place was exactly what we were looking for. The location is perfect, a very close distance to Main Street. Very neat, super affordable. Great communication. Highly recommended.

Amy's profile lists her b&b room as the "perfect spot to rest your head". And it really was. Clean, comfortable twin bed, nice private bath and a some neat art. Great for one, or even two people (certainly enough space for two, a reading chair, small frig and microwave). The neighborhood was quiet and an easy 10 minute walk to downtown Montpelier (on sidewalks, which is not all that common in Vermont). Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet the host, but her directions and email correspondence made me feel she cared about her guests.

I stayed at Amy's after a 14+ hour drive into Montpelier. The drive took longer then expected and I didn't get there till after 1am. It was so nice to not have to stress about having a place to stay - or needing to wake someone up to let me in. Amy left the light on and stayed in touch with me when I told her I would be later then expected. The room is exactly what she said it would be - two twin beds with access to a private bathroom and a separate entrance.

Friendly and accommodating, it was a great little spot to rest while on my road trip. For me the location was ideal and the space was clean and convenient. Thanks Amy for your hospitality!

A last-minute family emergency prevented us from staying with Amy, but I can say that she provided very clear instructions regarding our stay and responded quickly to our communications. I feel quite confident we would have had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at her home had we been able.

This is a very clean and cozy cabin, the night in the woods is full of stars, and we had a wonderful stay there. I definitely recommend them! Worth it!

This place is so cute and so is the area/neighborhood it's located in. When I planned this trip, I wanted to stay somewhere that was in a country setting, away from the big city, and this more than met my expectations: we were within 10 minutes of the local market and city center; a short drive from Stowe, the picturesque small town; there was a farm with fresh meats, egg, and corn just down the road; and just past it was a covered bridge (one of the things Vermont is famous for). The apartment had all the basics for cooking at home (which we did on three occasions), it accommodated up to 6 people, and the wifi worked very well. Jamie and Ellis communicated with me via email just before the trip letting me know they were available at any time and getting access to the property was easy. It was fun waking up to cows mooing outside our door and we absolutely loved seeing the free-roaming bunny rabbits at the farm at the corner of our street (we're big city girls). It was so very peaceful out there, the air smelled wonderful, and we could see lots of stars in the sky at night. It would have been nice to use the fire pit out front but it was not cold enough and to be honest we were very cozy indoors. I would definitely rent this place again.

We really had a comfortable stay here. The place is very quiet and scenic. The communication from the hosts was very prompt. Rooms were very clean. We would definitely like to be back here if we come to Vermont again.

Great place for a little getaway. The hosts were easy and quick with communication. We enjoyed having a nice cup of coffee on the porch in the mornings and star-gazing at night.

We stayed here with our two boys. It was just what we needed! The kitchen was great for fixing small meals and the boys loved the futon for seating and a second bed. We highly recommend this sweet apartment. :)

My boyfriend and I stayed at Christine's lovely barn apartment and it was just the mini-getaway we needed. Her apartment was surrounded by mountains and was a nice, private location. She gave some great restaurant suggestions and was extremely helpful and open to questions before the trip. I recommend the apartment and would definitely consider going back for a few days this summer! Also, if you do decide to visit this apartment during the winter months, make sure to have 4-wheel drive, as suggested in the description.

Great stay. Barn is great- just as described. Christine is a wealth of knowledge about local places to eat, etc. A good value!

Breathtaking views, like a living painting. Christine is a kind host while respecting the guests' privacy. She even made us chocolate covered strawberries. The barn is gorgeous and clean, wonderful soft linens, big thick bath towels. An antique typewriter and cash register on the coffee table was great fun for my 8 year old son! Great bathroom, luxurious shower! It was absolutely magical to wake up to the beautiful sight of the Green Mountains and the sounds of the bird songs in the morning. Wish this was my life!

Christine and her barn were everything we were hoping for. As a host, Christine was just as happy to chat with us and guide us as she was willing to leave us free to experience Vermont on our own terms. The barn is gorgeous, and the location is great for seeing Middlebury, Bristol, and beyond. We hope to return someday soon!

Had a wonderful snowy couple days at this property. We loved the views, the nearby hiking (we hiked the two mile Battell trail, which is accessible though a woodsy shortcut) the library, and the grounds. The apartment is cozy and the sense of escape incomparable. We followed Christine's recommendations for local eateries and enjoyed her baked treats on arrival. Definitely recommend!

The Luxury Barn Apt. on Christine's property is simply amazing. I recommend this listing wholeheartedly and am looking forward to coming back next summer! The Apartment is very clean, decorated beautifully and the property itself has gorgeous views looking at the nearby mountains. Also, Christine and her family are very accommodating, great hosts and simply put - good people.

We loved our barn experience. A quiet setting with beautiful views in a remote location. Very spacious and homely, with lots of information on what to do in the area. A very friendly dog named Nellie would accompany us on our morning walks. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and huge area to lounge and enjoy the view. Great value.

Christine was a fabulous host. Although we rarely crossed paths (the space is very private) she made sure we were well-stocked with coffee, tea and morning treats as well as a fresh supply of linens and towels. The apartment is beautifully appointed, spacious and boasts amazing views. With close proximity to skiing (30 minutes) we were able to take advantage of Sugarbush and Mad River Glen and enjoyed exploring the neighbouring towns in the evenings. While the location is very rural there was plenty of activity in the area to keep us entertained. The perfect place to base an urban escape!

Bonnie emailed alternative routes to her home in case there was construction still going on when we arrived. She met us as we arrived at her home with a resounding welcome! The pictures tell it all... everything is as pictured right down to the chocolates!! We hope to visit again one day!

Great space -- a whole floor to ourselves -- decorated with antiques, but with all the modern amenities. Bonnie is an amazing hostess and helped us with shopping and restaurants in the center of Montpelier, only a 5 minute walk from Vine St.

Central to Waterbury and all the lovely sights and sounds that come along with it, this home is a treat to stay in. Krystyna and I came for our third anniversary and to go to an annual beer festival and were totally impressed. The jacuzzi is amazing and the space is intimate, clean and beautiful. One of our all time favorite Airbnb homes.

Great place for a weekend getaway. The location is great, the apartment was clean, updated and very comfortable. The scenery in/around the town was beautiful and picturesque.

Wow! This was my first AirBNB experience and I was blown out of the water! Amy and Mike are incredible hosts. I came here for 48 hours of introvert time- which Amy and Mike completely respected. Amy pointed out a couple of great restaurants (within walking distance!) and sent me on my way. A short time later she emailed me to let me know that one of the restaurants she suggested was closed because it was Easter Sunday. So thoughtful! The place was spotless. The king bed was so cozy! The jacuzzi tub came stocked with soap, towels, and candles. There were even chocolates, and supplies for waffles! Perfection! The next time I come to Vermont I will be sure to stay here again!

This place was awesome. So comfy, clean. Did we mention the hot tub? Saved our aching lives. We blew a circuit and they came within minutes to fix it. Couldn't ask for better hosts.

What a great place. Mike and Amy are very accommodating. They went well above and beyond what we expected. They are centrally located and within walking distance to some of the best food in the area. STOP looking...this is your place. Amy and Mike are the perfect host. There apartment has everything you will need. The decor is beautiful with attention to detail. The location is perfect to walk into town for a wonderful meal, a short drive to Ben and Jerrys for dessert or Green Mountain Coffee for a cup of Joe and Cabot to pick up cheese snacks to sit on the wonderful patio of there apartment and enjoy. After a long day the jetted tub melts away tried muscles, along with beautiful fresh flowers and candles. We were running late do to a flight cancellation and Amy stayed up waiting for us to arrive with two fresh baked chocolate cookies. You will love this place.

My wife and I st a yes here and loved it! It's just as explained in the ad. We loved being able to walk to the grocery store and restaurants. Also it's close to many other activities ,we went to stowe while there stopped at the alchemist one of many great brewerys in Vermont . We recommend staying here its a great find

We stayed at Rod's place on our way through Vermont. Though we were only there for one night, we really enjoyed meeting Rod and appreciated his attentiveness. He was gracious and welcoming ane the bed was especially comfortable. The value was terrific and it was a perfect place for our night on the road. Thank you Rod!

Great property - easy to find, close to the town centre and quiet. Communication with Rod was easy and efficient - access to the property was uncomplicated (which was welcome at the end of a long days' drive!). The property was clean and functional - the bed was comfortable and living space was adequate. Parking was very easy. We can recommend the Italian restaurant, Sarducci's across the bridge for dinner, and the Dunkin Donuts at the bottom of Rod's road - great coffee! Thanks for having us!

This is a great place to stay for a night or two while checking out the area. It is walking distance to town and the room has a lovely view. It is clean and neat and Rod provides a wall of free amenities in case you've forgotten anything. He was friendly and communicative. Montpelier is a very fun little town and a good jumping off point for exploring Burlington and beyond. Would definitely recommend.

Rod's place was the ideal place to stay for quick and comfy overnight lodging for my one day job in Montpelier. Rod and his son were really friendly and engaging. The only problem was that the bed was so comfortable I had a hard time getting up for work. I'd definitely recommend this room to other travelers.

I was looking for a comfortable night's sleep and that's exactly what I found with Rod. I arrived late, which he gladly accommodated. Although I didn't need to use it, Rod also provide all the little extras for his guests (e.g. toothbrush, razors, etc.) shall his guests forget them. Nice touch.

Staying with Rod was great, he is a great host. He is very upbeat, friendly and has plenty of local knowledge to share. The apartment is in a great location for being able to walk downtown. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. When you walk in you feel that the host has thought of everything. He offered us some extra breakfast that he was making when we woke up. He really enjoys hearing your story and telling you some of his.

We loved our stay here! William has clearly built his lovely home with so much love and it is reflected in so many little things around the house... The cute wooden stools he carved, the knickknacks in the kitchen, the well lit as airy rooms! Rustic, yet very convenient. The location is perfect for someone that wants to get away from the clutter of city life. He even has a fire pit, where we enjoyed a great outdoor bbq! There are several hiking trails within 10 min driving distance from the cottage. Additionally, there are a number of reservoirs where you can go boating and swimming. Wish we could have stayed longer! Oh and I'm not a cat person, but William's cat is the friendliest ever! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Deorsha is accomodating and keeps a very lovely home. He pointed us in the direction of local happenings and spots for swimming & hiking. There's no need to plan much because he'll help you find something fun! It was a very pleasant stay :) We will be back!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend in VT and it was beautiful. Close to stuff like the B&J factory and Burlington which made it great to visit them during the stay. He was very friendly and showed us around the apartment and responded to communications very well. Great stay

Me and my two friends stayed at Williams and had a great time. The house was clean and as pictured. We didn't get to meet William because he was out for the weekend but he made check in very easy and was completely flexible on the check in time, which was very helpful. This house was the perfect place to get away for the weekend and just relax.

The barn was described (URL HIDDEN) was a wonderful place for rest and renewal! We enjoyed the gardens in the backyard and especially loved watching the chickens!

The place was just as beautiful as the pictures and the property was even more so! Barry and Jenny have a beautiful garden. My boyfriend and I enjoyed being a little off the beaten path while still being a quick 20-25 minute drive from Burlington and all its activities and restaurants. The only hiccup was that we accidentally locked ourselves out once, but Barry quickly came to our rescue after we called him (even though it was after 11pm). We particularly enjoyed looking out the windows to the amazing gardens and sitting out in the yard watching the sun set across the pond. A lovely place!

We had a great experience at the barn! It was a beautiful, clean space with all the accommodations you would need for a short trip (coffee, tea, towels, hair dryer) and on top of that, delicious homemade granola + yogurt. About a 25 minute easy dive to Burlington. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially for the price, and hope we can come back and stay again!

The best compliment one can pay to any place is a promise to return, and I can say without a doubt that we will return to Barry & Jenny's barn loft again some day. In a word, it's perfect. The accommodations are beautiful and comfortable and the surrounding gardens, pond and fields really add to the whole experience of staying in a Vermont barn loft. It's clear that a lot of thought went into building/rebuilding this barn, and Barry and Jenny have provided everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. Jenny's homemade granola and yogurt were a nice touch for breakfast. Barry and Jenny are very friendly and they offered some great suggestions on local eateries. We're happy to have experienced their wonderful barn loft!

We arrived late on Friday night for a weekend stay. Jenny greeted us and gave suggestions for nearby sites to visit. The space is amazing-very private, beautiful and comfortable.

Barry greeted us upon arrival with "Buddy"...the dog. The place was just a described. It was the perfect place to get a feel of what Vermont has to offer. It's far enough out to have a small town feel but close enough to Burlington to experience what the city has to offer. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. It's much more beautiful then the pictures can offer!

Great host. Beautiful gardens and farmhouse. Close to a great local restaurant where we sampled a variety of cheese made locally in Vermont. Probably wonderful year round except in mid to late August as the beautiful barn loft is not air conditioned. We loved the gorgeous hens running around in the garden along with the friendly dog. Absolutely charming and exceeded expectations. One of the top 4 properties we have found in the 3 years we have been with airbnb. Will recommend to all our friends.

Everything was as advertised. The room was cute and warm, and the apartment is well located in downtown Montpelier.

My first impression: Montpelier is the quietest city I've slept in - it was wonderful. Staying at Theo's was like staying at a friend's house. We felt right at home and were invited into this third floor space even though he wasn't able to be there. We didn't have to hurry out the next morning and were told to take our time. We were able to park off the street (I hope that was permissible!) and felt totally at home. He had local and state maps available to help us figure out our next moves. Don't forget to hit Montpelier's most awesome food co-op while you're there.

The accommodation in Montpelier was very good. It was very easy to find, not far from a grocery store, private and with access to a kitchen.

Theodore was an amazing host! Even with a last minute booking, he was more than accommodating, and he made us feel very welcome. Polite, considerate, and helpful are words that come to mind. It was a great experience that I highly recommend.

The accommodation has a very nice typical old American house feel to it. The bed was comfortable and self check in was easy as Theo gave adequate instructions. The other room was unoccupied while we were there anyway so had the whole house was empty which was good as had bathroom and kitchen to ourself. Very central location and right next to the park. If you're staying in Montpelier then I recommend this. The heater in the room is very toasty too!

Spacious room is an understatement! This was more like an efficiency suite as it was huge! It was more than accommodating for my boyfriend and me. Celeste was very communicative before and during our stay. We met both Celeste and David Saturday night. They were super friendly and helpful; they embody the sweetness that is VT. Gracie, their pup, was a joy once she warmed up to us.

Our host made us feel very welcome and very helpful with directions on getting to the home. Although due to weather conditions at the time we could not stay, they were very gracious and gave us a partial refund. I would love to try again in the future because the property is gorgeous.

We absolutely loved staying with Celeste at her gorgeous old farmhouse. We arrived to a warm welcome and a cup of tea on a cold and snowy afternoon in October, courtesy of the lovely Stella and her awesome cat, Floyd :) Stella gave us lots of info on places to dine or to purchase food....we ended up going to the co-op in Montpelier and buying healthy food which we enjoyed back in front of the fire in the farmhouse. We had our own private access, beautiful, cosy bedroom and fully equipped private bathroom. Was just wonderful to wake up the next morning in such a lovely space, we ended up booking another night with Celeste so we could spend more time in this fascinating area of Vermont. A great place to stay, we highly recommend Celeste's B&B to anyone who is fortunate enough to be visiting the area. Celeste, David, Stella, Floyd and Levi the dog were all awesome hosts :)

Celeste was great, the house was wonderful. Perfect for an authentic VT experience. Words and pictures do no do justice to the beautiful location. Waking up in a cozy bedroom, views of the mountains, barns and walks on dirt road. Celeste left towels, English muffins, and fruit for us as well as offered to cook meals. She gave us tips on where to go, both in Montpelier and Burlington. Room was spacious, had a private bath and your own entrance. Celeste and Stella went above and beyond. We are already looking forward to our return.

Celeste, Stella and David were great in hosting us for our stay. Our room was clean and amenities were provided. Conversations were stimulating. There are great views of the fall foliage and mountains by day and stellar constellation views at night. Thank you guys so much!

Celeste and David's house is very nice and it was a good experience despite my own overactive imagination when driving down their dirt road well after dark! Which was beautiful by daylight I should add :) They were very kind and accommodating, room was clean and great to have a private bathroom. My only recommendation would be to add a lock on the inside of the doors (to room and bathroom) for those uneasy travelers like myself :) also a phone to be a le to make a Call if needed as I didn't have any cell service (and it was too late to ask to use your phone) but above all, thank you for opening your house to me!

This is, by far, the best AirBnB experience we've had! Crystal and Andrew are warm and welcoming. They have the cabin wonderfully equipped with everything we needed. The bed is comfortable too. There is a great yoga studio about 20 minutes away. There is also plenty to see and do in this area of Vermont. Crystal and Andrew were very helpful in recommending activities in the area. The cabin is lovely. Spacious and situated in a beautiful country setting. If you want a quiet getaway, this is the spot! We would book again in a heartbeat.

We were looking for a long weekend away from the city and this was a fantastic place for a relaxing weekend. The views from the front porch were incredible and the cabin was well stocked with everything the five of us needed to cook, relax, and enjoy the area. We will definitely be back!

I have stayed in countless Airbnbs across the world. This is easily my favorite. Wonderful location, perfect hosts, and the most relaxing experience you could imagine. The photos don't do it justice. This is where you should stay in Vermont, it does not get any better than this!

From the moment I stepped through the door, this cabin was a dream. The pictures do not do it justice, it truly was breath taking. The personal details that Andy and Crystal put into our stay made my heart swell and made this weekend getaway exactly what I needed. From the views to the cozy bed, this place was a 10, I hope to stay again. This was by far the best Air B-n-B experience I have ever had!

We had such a great time at the cabin! The place was as beautiful as the pictures (even more!). Andrew and Crystal were very welcoming, they show us the farm, the animals, and even provided us some mapple sirop and vegetable from their garden. We found exactly what we were looking for : nature, space and peace. There are so many activities, so many hiking spot, lakes, and places to visit (Montpelier, Burlington..) that you can't get bored. But we just loved relaxing at the cabin, enjoying the sun and the magical view, having a drink and a barbecue on the deck... We will definitly come back and stay longer this time. Mark and Crystal were incredibly welcoming. The property has the most amazing view of mountains across from it . And the cabin itself is incredibly spacious with a lovely cathedral ceiling. They were kind enough to offer us a tour of the farm. We got to greet the chickens, roosters, pigs, rams, and sheep. They also showed us and let us help ourselves to whatever farm bounty they had available (which at the time was kale, hot peppers, bell peppers, onions, and more) It was my favorite airbnb property to date. I would highly recommend it to anyone else.

The stay here was completely gorgeous and perfect. The cabin was spotless, welcoming, and cozy. The view was breathtaking. We unfortunately didn't get to meet Crystal, but Andy came over the night we had arrived. He made us feel very welcome. The area around was fun to go and explore. Definitely a smart decision staying here for our getaway.

Karin was extremely flexible while I was figuring out my travel/booking/schedule, so I was grateful before I even arrived! Once I did, she offered me watermelon and a drink (I arrived on a summer evening) and the next morning gave me some of her homemade bread and some tea before I headed off for the day. We had more tea and chatted when I returned that evening. My final day, she recommended that I visit the lovely farmers market in Montpelier, which was wonderful, and then gave me a ride to catch my bus home. It was a lovely visit! I recommend Karin as a flexible, welcoming, generous host!

Karin has a lovely home! The bed is beyond comfy; the bedroom so clean, and Karin is a warm, welcoming, friendly host. I usually have cat allergies, but the house was kept so clean, it didn't bother me at all, and Karin graciously let us keep our room closed off during the day. It's 1 minute drive from downtown and less than 3 minutes from VCFA. Highly recommended! We would stay again.

A marvelous stay with a gracious and thoughtful host. The location was only 15 minutes by foot from downtown Montpelier, the home quiet, and the cats adorable.

Very helpful, accomodating, friendly, knowledgeable! Provided many recs for places to eat in Montepelier. Bed was very comfortable, everything was very clean. Much appreciated. Good neighborhood, everything as advertised.

We arrived late in the evening and were off the next morning, but our stay was very comfortable. Karin is a most gracious host, and her house is tidy and quite charming.

Always have been curious about stained glass work and now I've gotten to see what the process looks like, so that was super fun. Karin was gracious, accommodating and helpful. Her home was exactly as described in her listing. The bedroom was simple, clean and comfortable. Her home is close to the downtown area, and sufficiently off from the main road to provide a calm, quiet, lovely setting. As she mentions, if you don't mind a shared bath on a different floor than the bedroom, this is an excellent lodging option.

My husband and I had a great stay at Kristina's. The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, and a wonderful retreat from the city. The town center is a few miles away and has great grocery stores, shops, and a movie theater. Kristina was very helpful with any questions we had and check in/out was a breeze. We can't wait to come back!

Kristina's home is exactly what it is described as. Beautiful log home in rural Vermont, close to town, shops, co-ops, yet set back in the country, peaceful and quiet. This is surely one of the better spots to stay in the Montpelier area. Would love to stay again!

This is a fantastic cabin in a great location. Super-clean, well appointed, cozy and comfortable. Perfect for a family of 4 - out kids loved using the trundle bed. Easy drive to Waterbury and Skiing at Bolton Valley & Stowe. Kristina is a great host - very accommodating and quick to respond to text and email. Will stay again!!

My family had a wonderful stay at Kristina's house. Kristina was very helpful and understanding to our needs. The house is beautiful and warm. We had so much fun exploring all the neighborhood towns and all Kristina's recomodations. Perfect getaway.

Kristina's home was the perfect balance needed for a weekend getaway. The rustic feel and coziness was met with all the amenities one could need. Updated bathroom, dish washer and washer/dryer made this great cabin super functional. My boyfriend and I loved staying here and were very sad to leave. Kristina was super prompt on responding and was very sweet to leave us some fresh potatoes (which were delicious) for our stay. This was plenty of space for the two of us and for a family it would be perfect as well (couldn't believe the amount of bedrooms this cabin fit!) Location was great, close to downtown (15mins), but far enough where you felt you could disconnect from the world. I would definitely stay, again. Thank you, Kristina!

Kristina's log home is absolutely lovely and exactly as described -- clean, homey, beautifully decorated and easy to access. It was the perfect central home base for us as we did the college tour of VT. We will definitely be back for skiing!

First off, imagine a quiet, serene mountain cabin. This is what we found when we finally arrived after a 4 hour drive. Perfect mountain cabin setting outside the all bases covered capital of Montpelier. The cabin was very charming and welcoming. With Stowe and smugglers was close and everything was in driving distance. It snowed almost a foot while we where there and there was even a plow truck when we arrived to help us get in. Kristina did and does a great job and hopefully we'll be back soon. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

Kristina was extremely helpful and provided a great weekend away for my girlfriend and I. Our stay was very relaxing and we enjoyed every minute of it. We hope to be able to enjoy her lovely cabin again in the winter time. We have nothing but good things to say about our trip.

This must be Vermont's best kept secret. We had a delightful time, between the fireplace, sauna, hot tub and stunning view of the pond and trees around, the big windows, lovely kitchen, and super sweet resident pets (2 cats and a dog) we had the absolute best time. My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying in this unique spot. The gorgeous scenery, comfortable (and spotless) living space, cool loft, espresso maker and glorious hot tub all made for a fantastic experience. John was a great host, providing helpful info and generously sharing his kitchen with us. His dog, Rosie was very sweet too. I highly recommend this first rate Airbnb.

The great room is truly lovely, and so is John's property. The house is clean and orderly, with 2 cats and a dog to greet you. The house manual is comprehensive, clear, and easy-to-use. The space in the great room is secluded from the house enough to feel private, but connected well, so that everything you need is right there. It's also far enough from town to feel like you're "getting away" but close enough to be convenient. This really is a perfect spot to stay. Thank you John!

We enjoyed the great room and our stay at John's house. Because of our busy schedule we didn't get to spend as much time on the property as we would have liked. The view was great, house was clean and animals were friendly and fun to interact with. We enjoyed the stay. John was a great host and if we end up in the area again will certainly want to stay there and spend more time exploring the trails around his house.

John's place is gorgeous inside and out and makes for a geat winter getaway. He has a bunch of trails right out of his yard which are great for snowshoeing and skiing. It is about an hour away from Burlington, which we enjoyed exploring for a day. His pets (2 cats and a dog) are very sweet. We hope to visit again!

Eileen was very welcoming. She was quick to give me a run down of the town. She left me to my own vices, but when I did come out of my room, she had no problems talking to me and making me feel at home. I would recommend staying with her and would do so again if I am in the area.

Great family home in the capital of Vermont. Well kept home, with in walking distance of the town. Private room, comfortable bed and wonderful shower. The hostess Eileen was also very helpful communicating things to do in town. Very pleasant stay overall.

Eileen and Vic are fabulous hosts! My husband and I were in Montpelier for a quiet weekend getaway, and our stay was perfect. The space is lovely -- comfortable bed, high ceilings, ceiling fan, beautiful private bath with a walk-in shower -- and very clean and tidy. Eileen and Vic were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. We were especially appreciative of their dining recommendations, and for Vic's encouraging us to check out the local farmers market (delightful, we came home with some beautiful greens and carrots) and a nearby mini-hike behind the Vermont State House. We enjoyed both tremendously. And, hardly had to use our car all weekend, because the center of town is an easy walk away. We love Montpelier and this home, and would love to come back. Highest recommendation! Thank you!

A welcoming and joyful family with a cozy and pleasant house. The bedroom and adjoining bathroom were nice and well renovated. Eileen was very helpful and friendly.

The room is well furnished with a large ensuite bathoom. Eileen's house is up the hill from downtown Montpelier and down a hill from the College of Fine Arts. The family was nice enough to drive me to Morse's maple farm and thanks to Elena I tried a creemie. I also got to have a chocolate chip, blueberry muffin that she and Eileen baked, yum! There was information for great coffees and places to eat out.
