It was an absolute pleasure to stay with Elizabeth and her family. They made us feel very welcome and took time to help us settle in and get to know us. Location is beautiful and close to local amenities. Would definitely recommend!!!

We had a great 2-nights-stay at the Paulsrud-farm! This is definetly one of those places where you wish you could stay longer when you have to leave. It was very nice talking to Elisabeth and Thomas and I am sure we would have had more nice and interesting conversations if we had more time. The cabin is very cosy and nicely decorated. The bathroom in the main house, which you as a guest have to yourself, is really nice. They have great taste! You can walk around on the farm wherever you like and Elisabeth and Thomas will tell you all about the animals and their lives as farmers, if you like them to. We felt very welcome and hopefully we will have the chance to go back to their place one day to partcipate in the activities they offer (like moose safaris or baking bread). Highly recommended!

The hosts were absolutly wonderful! They are generous, helpfull and informative. We got to taste fresh milk from the cows and cuddle the sheep and chat whenever we met around the area. They had even put coffee and water in the brewer ready for us to only press the on button! "Ingeborgstua" is a small old house close to the farm's main house. The cabin was fully equiped with both all you need in a kitchen and basic foods like spices, coffee, sugar and even baking soda! In winter time the cabin can be cold, so we had to keep the fire burning at all times. The night was a little cold without the fire, so we asked for an extra blanket for the second night. Then it was fine. There is no water in the cabin, but there is a really nice bathroom with shower and a room where you can do the dishes 10 meters from the cabin. There was water in a large water container inside the cabin. Going to the bathroom was no problem, but it was a little hazzel having to bring the dishes up and down. Cross country ski tracks were only a 10 minutes drive away, and we had the mountains all to ourselves. Bring cash! It' s 50 NOK to park the car and use the ski tracks. All in all a wonderful weekend. 3 hours drive from Oslo and some queue both Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Try to avoid the most busy hours.

If you get the chance to stay here, you must!!! The farm is beautiful and in the perfect rural setting. We had really good weather so the view was amazing. The cabin is really nicely decorated and furnished. Thomas and Elisabeth were perfect hosts..kind, friendly and helpful! Will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Norway!!

What can I say? Amazing location, amazing hosts and an amazing stay. The cabin was very cozy and extremely clean. The beds were soft and we all slept soundly. The view from the cabin was spectactular and my kids just loved the stay.

Truly amazing! Wonderful view, beautiful surroundings, sweet animals, very friendly and helpful family, super cosy little house, clean and comfortable bathroom...and so on! Really an inspirational place in so many ways. Especially great place for children! We had a hard time getting our son (2y) in the car when we had to leave.. We were housed for 5 days, 2 adults and 4 children. It went just fine, very cozy and snug chalet. Fantastic nice winter with steering tobogganing right behind the lodge, skiing virtually alone in well-groomed trails in the mountains. We could be on Cowshed every day; children and adults very much appreciated this. Dog Driving we also join in and it was really great, with bållunsj underway. Excellent host cabinets. Can really be recommended highly enough.

Really helpfull and friendly hosts which gave us all support we could think of. Lovely surrounding and a fantastic adventure to stay in the nice cottage. But always Elisabeth and her husband in the background, if you need them. They gave us fresh, homemade bread and some lifts with a quad and their sleighs up to the top of their own hill. Would love to come back some day.

Picturesque farm 30 mins outside Lillehammer with gorgeous guest shed - pictures are 100% accurate. We were welcomed by the lovely host Elisabeth who gave us a tour of the farm and greeted us with freshly baked pastry! After a great night's sleep we had coffee on the lawn amid great conversation with Elisabeth and her husband Tomas. Great location if you're looking to insert some nature into your trip while still being close to the major Lillehammer sites. Would absolutely stay at the farm again!

We had a wonderful time at Elisabeth's cabin. It was exactly as it looked in the photos - even better! Beautiful décor, very clean and tidy and extremely cosy and comfortable! We had the pleasure of helping out at the farm by feeding the lambs, sheep and cows, and seeing how this lovely family lived in such a beautiful, remote area. The three of us could not have asked for a more relaxing, picturesque and overall wonderful 3 day break in rural Norway with such lovely hosts. Thank you so much - I'm sure we will be back in the near future!! :-)

We had a wonderful night at the farm. The little house is very cute and comfortable. Thomas and Elisabeth are very nice and we felt really good. The farm is pure nature. It is a very quiet place and you can relax. We got fresh milk for breakfast in the morning :-) The bathroom is clean and you can find all what you need. We will definitely come back. Thanks for all.

The cabin is super cozy. Perfect for 2-3 people. Perfect location - is secluded yet close to shopping opportunities, gasoline, cross country, downhill, dog sledding mm. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked on the stove all week and it can really be recommended. The cabin is dry, clean and fairly easy to heat. Toilet and woodshed is close to and works fine. Most beautiful view from the hut. In heavy snowfall snow chains are recommended (it got we need). All contact with the owner have been really good.

This mountain farm is the perfect combination of accessibility and peace and quiet. You can drive right up and park just as much as you want of the present, and the rest of the outside world. Inside the light has the time capsule we adjusted us 100 years in time, just as it looked. On the kitchen counter waiting there even a welcome gift! We chose to take breakfast in the 70s and continue with extremely easily accessible old-fashioned skiing fun and tobogganing, followed by a modern intermezzo with iPad TV. In the evening came the candle and deck forward and pulled us back to the interwar period. Views of both Skeikampen and Hafjell ski, fir trees and sheer idyll. Local private toboggan 1 meter from the cabin wall. Cross-country skiing and hiking can be practiced in prepared tracks or overgrown paths. All desired. We like to broaden your horizons further and tend to go for 40 minutes up to Hærfjellet and see large parts of eastern Norway. 360 degrees pure happiness on sunny days. We like to stay in the old days, but included the present just when it suited with electrical impulses from contacts in the wall. Crackles and heating from the stove while the electric car is charged outside feels strange and right at the same time. We will definitely be back! By night our stay can be found here: (URL HIDDEN)

This little house is VERY typical which is perfect for persons loved nature. When we arrived, guests welcome us. They show us how to make fire, the place to visit,... Very nice people !! I didn't know a place so calm ! Sheeps were our only neighbours. Be careful, there is no water in the house. Just big bottle to drink. A little river and lake are necessary to wash us. There is not a bad surprise for us, it Was just included on the typical moment. I recommand this place !!!! Very typical and calm !

Such a gorgeous cabin with everything you would ever need. Aud was so accomodating, really quick to respond and easy going. We were a little delayed when arriving and Aud was very understanding and came out late to meet us. The cabin was lit up on arrival with fairy lights and was so warm and welcoming. Had the best stay here, I could stay for weeks if I had the opportunity! Great area to be in with skiing close by and we even went dog sledding with Aud recommending a local company to take us. Couldn't have had a better stay and cannot fault the cabin at all, it really is a home away from home, beautifully decorated and very cosy. I would love to stay here again and would highly recommend Aud as a host. Fingers crossed I will be back again!

We were very impressed with how Aud has remodeled this very charming cottage by installing modern features while leaving the essence of the old original intact. She has thoughtfully equipped and designed the interior with very high quality materials and cozy, comfortable details with one exception: the shower stall. There is nowhere to put your soap or shampoo bottles but on the floor. A simple shower caddy that hangs around the shower head with a few shelves would solve that problem easily. The biggest drawback however is the "stairway" to the upper floor which is more like a ladder than even the steepest of stairs. Imagine how our 82 year old cousin struggled to safely make his way up and down such a dangerous thing. I'm sure this is typical of this type of cottage but guests should be warned about it (or a picture included at the least). Anyone with mobility issues would not be happy here. The cottage is very beautiful and set in a glorious landscape about ten minutes by car to several good grocery stores and about thirty minutes to Lillehammer.

Wonderful farmhouse! We loved our stay in this beautiful historic home surrounded by hillside farms. Very nicely updated while retaining an old world feel.

Aud is a great and thoughtful host, always replying fast and with great attention to detail. The cabin is in a beautiful location in the Norwegian countryside. We stayed in December, so there was snow. The log cabin is from the 1850s, but beautifully renovated to a high standard. The decoration inside is also quite unique, charming and tasteful. There's a big, modern kitchen downstairs that has everything you need, a nice bathroom with a shower, and a big living room with a fireplace. Upstairs, there are enough beds for 6 adults and one small child. We were 4 adults and 1 child, which was ideal. We spent a fantastic, relaxing New Year's Eve here.

Four of us stayed in this property for 2 days. The place "grows" on you - when we got there it was dark and cold and we didn't know where anything was.....but after a few hours we found everything and were beginning to enjoy ourselves. The place was clean, well furnished with ample kitchen equipment. The property is situated in a beautiful area, and the host was easy to contact and very cooperative.

Kjell Tore's house was a great spot for our party of four to spend 4 days enjoying the outdoors and skiing nearby in Skeikampen. The house is cozy and has a great wood stove that heats the house quickly and effectively. It is easy to find and is near a main road. Kjell Tore was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. This is a great spot for a group or a family with a car looking for a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Kjell's house is nice and cosy and has a lot of atmosphere. The house was already heated when we arrived which gave us a warm welcome. We stayed for a week with 2 families and there was enough space for everyone. There is a large garden in which the kids could play very nicely (in our case there was plenty of snow). It's in the mountains near Skeikampen ski area (only 15 minutes drive) which is a nice area for families. We loved the house very much although the facilities were quite basic but everything we needed was there. We had a great time!

Six 20-somethings stayed a weekend for a skiing trip and enjoyed the accomodation. Nice and welcoming host with good communication. Kitchen was very well equipped (with the sole exception of cutting boards), and there were plenty of ovens to keep warm with. Bathroom with bathtub was good. Very calm environment with no noise or disturbances.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Ideally situated for Skeikampen ski resort and also about 30 mins into Lillehammer Property was immaculate and very picturesque. Host was very accommodating and access was easy and straight forward. The host and the property are a credit to airbnb

The place was very weloming, clean and quite, with a large and new kitchen and a cozy livingroom. The chimney was on when arrived that made the place even more warm. Tor helped us to get to the place and gave us good advices when asking about hikes to do. His wife was also very nice and offered blackberrys from their yard. We are very greatful! ;)

Tor's farmhouse provided an amazing out-of-the-city experience! It was spacious, well-equipped and had excellent views of the mountains and woods surrounding the home. We sat outside at the veranda for dinner and enjoyed our experience tremendously :).

Quick responses from them. Modern & renovated place. Had turned on heater so that it was nice & warm when we arrived. They did not mind our late arrival, especially since we made a stop for dinner along the way.

I would highly recomend this place! It is paradise! Amazing view from the balcony over the valley Gausdal and over to Lillehammer, especially in the morning when you see the sun rise! Wintertime gives you a landscape out of a fairytale with the snow making the trees look like sculptures! :-D The house is fullt equipped and has a nice wood burning stove for cozy evenings! Skeikampen skiresort which is one of the better ones is just a short drive away! The host Signy is very helpful :-) It is a quiet relaxing place, perfect for people who want a bit of the old norwegian feeling up the hill away from citylife! ;-)

Our stay was super great ! The place was perfectly clean, lot of room, nice furniture, usefull kitchen. The view from the living-room is wonderfull. Signy is a nice host, she is easy to communicate, kind and we really appreciate her ! I totally recommand the place. It is quiete, in the nature, surounding with animals and nature. Signy don't change anything !

We have been leaving with two little children in Signy's house for 11 days during winter. The house is quite big with 2 separate bedrooms, living room, perfectly equiped kitchen and a bathroom. Really, everything is there, including washing machine, dish washer, towels, extra shits, wood for a fireplace, some toys for children and games for the whole family, sledge for kids, TV and a garage for a car. The place has no wifi what is a big advantage - we didn't use internet for 11 days, and survived! The place is completely remote, what we loved. About 11 km to Skeikampen ski, and the same to the nearest shop in Gausdal. We definitely recommend the place.

We enjoyed the magnificent view over Gausdal. It is a cosy appartment equiped with everything we needed, also some toys for our kids. The last snowfall of winter made our stay very special.

The apartment on East Kleva is very cozy, and the perfect place to relax and enjoy the incredible views of Gausdalen. All you need is in the apartment, it was not something we were missing. The host is very nice and helpful, and we felt warmly welcomed. It is so beautiful here in winter, and you will find a perfect combination of tranquility and serenity, gardens, supermarkets and the city at short distance. I can warmly recommend a holiday in East Kleva! We are looking forward to come back and experience how the summer is up here.

Cosy and comfortable place with calm natural surroundings - forests and farms. Fantastic view down towards Gausdal. Well equipped apartment with all necessary amenities - and the furnishing and decoration making for a pleasant atmosphere matching the outdoor surroundings. We are a family of 5, including a 3-month old baby, and spent a fantastic week at Signy's place. Signy was a great host - everything was prepared for our stay, and she was helpful with driving directions and other suggestions.

the most beautiful location in the middle of Austlids transportation ski-slope and temperature range. and only 12 minutes to Alpine Centre. It is a nice classic log cabin, very friendly, and the most beautiful view of the evening sun on Skeikampen when sitting in the living room with large windows and a log fire. we got even full sun 5 out of 6 days. Jon and Gro guided us fine up there and we felt very welcome. highly recommended ..
