  • What else can I say about this place other than stunning! The house is amazing, great features, space and the hot tub and spa are just the icing on the cake. The surrounding areas are beautiful too. Highly recommend eating at the Higher Buck in waddington also. John was very good at communicating from the start of the reservation and very helpful.

There’s loads of space for everyone to spread out, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, great reception rooms for everyone to be together, fantastic amenities, gorgeous stunning location and of course the hot tubs! Luxurious and spacious apartment in Grade 2 mill on banks of Aire. Master bedroom, hand-crafted wooden 'sleigh' bed, large bathroom with free-standing bath; twin bedroom with en-suite shower room; open-plan living area; hand-crafted bespoke kitchen
Located in the tranquillity of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this apartment is ideally located for walkers and cyclists. Close to the Pennine Way, Malham's spectacular cove and Yorkshire's Three Peaks, it is a comfortable and cosy base from which to explore this stunning area
Airton is a peaceful village set in the heart of Malhamdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There is a popular village store/farm shop and cafe which sells a good selection of basic provisions and local produce. Many of our guests have commented favourably on it. A public footpath leads through the mill's wetland garden and the Pennine Way, 100m walk from the apartment, can be seen from the main rooms. There is a never-ending variety of walks through the natural beauty of 'Calendar Girls' countryside. The area is popular with cyclists, walkers, horse-riders and climbers. You can ramble along the riverside to Malham's stunning cove, limestone pavement and tranquil tarn. During the summer months, there are numerous rural shows and music and art festivals. Museums, steam trains, ice-cream farm, falconry centre - the variety of activities ensures there will never be a dull moment, whatever the weather.
  • Beautiful home and very well equipped. Great location with walks straight from the front door and lovely view of the river at the back. Lovely bathroom - fab for soaking tired muscles after a days walking. Great location for Malham too. All in all 💯 %.

  • Jesca's home was beautiful and comfortable. The whole family enjoyed the scenic hiking trails just outside the home, the views from the back windows, the small quiet town, the country drive getting there, and the great Farm House grocery store and tea room. This is a stop I recommend if you are looking for special! Enjoyed our stay!!

  • This is a delightful property, beautifully restored and very comfortable. The upstairs kitchen/dining/sitting area is especially welcoming with lovely views over the river. We only stayed a weekend but wished oit was longer and have every intention of returning! Jesca was also a very friendly and helpful host

  • Lovely place to have a break lots to do will recommend this place will be going back in the summer

  • Jesca’s place was perfect for our needs, spotless, well equipped, and in a beautiful location. Jesca was very easy to communicate with, our booking was at short notice, however the booking was completed promptly without fuss. Jesca’s customer standards are high. She informed me of a very minor omission from the advertised facilities. I would not have noticed and had I done so certainly not complained, such was my very favourable impression of her property. Nonetheless, without my bidding Jesca gave me a rebate to compensate my ‘inconvenience’. Quality service, highly recommended.

  • We had a really nice time, the accommodation was as advertised, clean, and comfortable. The fire / heater gave it a really nice touch in the dark winter nights, and Settle is also a lovely place to stay and take in the views, or venture out for a walk. The nearby Gordale Scar is just a short drive away and is well worth a visit!

    Tom2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The barn conversion is well done, really cosy, stylishly decorated and well equipped for preparing meals. A great place to stay whatever the time of year, has a lovely small outside area which would be great in warm weather. Yorkshire is a beautiful county and the people are so friendly. Settle has a couple of pubs and nice bars, choice of pub food, recently opened tapas place and an amazing Indian to eat in or takeaway. We parked in the town, generally it's difficult to park in Settle as it was never meant for cars. That's not a criticism it's just so people know. Definitely would recommend.

    Claire2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay. Perfect spot for 3 peaks. Thanks for having us.

  • Perfect spot to do Y3P. Good local amenities and great property. No complaints!

    Aoife2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Versatile, pleasant surrounding. Ideal for visiting Settle or embarking on the 3 peaks challenge!

    Andrew2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • In a picturesque spot near the top of the village of Settle. Amazing views from the balcony. Space nicely laid out to allow my family of 6 to spread out. You have to sort out street parking on some narrow streets or park down below in town if desired, but we never found it to be difficult.

    Sheref2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! We stayed here as a couple, and it still felt nice and cosy even though it sleeps up to 7. The balcony is a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee, and the views are incredible. The parking space was a little tight, but we soon got used to it. I imagine it would be difficult with a bigger car though. The town is a very short walk down a steep hill, and has some lovely little cafes, pubs and antique shops to visit. We loved the decor of this place, and the bed was very comfy! We’ll definitely be back to stay again some time!

  • The Nook is an excellent base from which to explore Settle and beyond! The space is clean and comfortable, as well as being well equipped. The log burner was a bonus for keeping warm on an evening.

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is beautiful, in a great central location. Finding parking nearby was not an issue, as the roads are narrow and steep. We spent 3 nights here, it was very cold. But the cottage is so cosy with the log burner on. We would definitely return to the nook.

    Lisa2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 3 nights in the cottage. It is a good size for a couple, and nice and comfortable. The wood burner gets it warm nice and quickly too. It is on a very narrow street as in the description, but parking was never a problem. Settle was a perfect base for exploring the Dales too.

  • Great host

    Guy2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jane's place was just what we were looking for - warm, cosy and with everything we needed with fantastic walks on the doorstep and a farm shop around the corner. We loved the board games, books and piano too and we'd be happy there come rain or shine. My only regret was that we'd booked it for one night instead of a week. Next time I'll be sure to stay for longer. Many thanks Jane for your hospitality.

    Louisa2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jon and Jane were very hospitable and the house was warm and comfortable. We lacked for nothing and the location was great for walks

    Chris2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jane was a great host, full of tips and recommendations for the local area, and there are some great walking routes nearby. The house had everything we needed for a weekend away and the beds were comfy all round.

  • This is a great place to stay in the little village of Airton. We were very impressed with the size of the property and we thought it was excellent value for money. Jane had kitted the place out well and had pretty much everything we needed. Would definitely be up for staying here again. Jane is a great host!

Our home is a converted barn with huge exposed oak beams and three guest bedrooms in Hawkswick - a small, hidden gem in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Listen to the river and owls at night, then in the morning take the footpath over the fell to Kettlewell.
The converted barn (semi-detached - the farmhouse beside it is not ours!) is our home where we live and we are delighted to share it with our guests - we have 3 spare bedrooms. Our village has stunning scenery and a lack of tourists. Perfect for walking and cycling and a great base for exploring the unique, unspoiled countryside of the dales or the cultural and historic wealth of Yorkshire.
Its beauty, peacefulness, tranquillity, wildlife, river and walks.
  • Stunning location and beautiful accommodation, with clean and comfy rooms, lovely hosts, and delicious breakfasts, including home-made bread and jams! Would DEFINITELY come here again

    Deborah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place to stay in the heart of the Dales. Wonderful views and very quiet. Jonathon and Sonia are great hosts and the breakfast is perfect. Comfy beds and great showers. It is quirky but that just adds to the charm. A very special place that I definitely want to return to.

  • These guys care about doing a good job. Excellent hosts.

    Chris2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hosts, Jonathan and Sonia were very welcoming and accommodating. The property was v clean and comfortable. The little touches, such as afternoon tea on return from our long walk in the country, and the lovely breakfast the next day made it all the more special. Thank you again Jonathan and Sonia!

    Becky2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect place for a getaway if you're looking to relax and unwind in the country. Great location, with fantastic scenery and local walks. The home is spacious inside and very clean, and in general is just lovely and cosy and just want you want to come back to after a long walk on a winter day! Breakfast was great with plenty on offer, more than enough to set you up for a long day out in the countryside! It can be a bit tricky to find in the evening as the area isn't very well lit, so do take care if you're travelling at that time. But overall I had a great stay and Jonathan & Sonia are lovely people, very welcoming and couldn't do enough for me. I would thoroughly recommend their place if you're planning on staying in the Yorkshire Dales.

PLEASE NOTE: the house is only available for essential use until 3 July. The Garden House is small but perfectly formed. It is however a lovely place to spend a night or two in the Yorkshire Dales.. it's also just a short walk from Giggleswick and Settle. One room living with plenty of charm, ideal for a single person, a couple or 3 friends (a bit like a bunk barn, but more comfy).
The green oak frame building started life as my shed, but now has a heated stone floor, cosy bed deck, mini kitchen, shower "room" and composting loo (it doesn't smell!) The bed deck has a double bed and there's a day bed on the ground floor. It is basic, but does have everything you need to spend a weekend in the Dales. The bed deck, WC and kitchen are in the eves.. but what the place lacks in size it makes up for in charm.
The house is at the end of a quite road, direct access to the fells or a few minutes walk in to Giggleswick or Settle
  • We had such a lovely stay at David’s cabin. The place was clean, tidy and exactly as described. It was a short walk into Settle to the cosy cafes and shops, or a little pub just around the corner. A great little weekend escape!

    Paul2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, cosy and well thought out dwelling, everything you need in a compact space with a very friendly host and stunning surroundings.

    William2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I booked with David at his Garden House in relative short notice, literally within the space of a few hours of booking and travelling there. Amazing and prompt communication to arrange the booking. The house itself is so idyllic, such a creative way of making a small amount of space into something quirky and relaxing, I felt at home as soon as I arrived. Situated perfectly just out of Settle but very easy to find (even in the dark ha) . Will definitely be booking again! 👍

    David2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely and cosy cabin with more space than others that we have stayed in of a similar type. You have to be fairly mobile and able-bodied to use the ladder but we managed it fine. Great accommodation which we would book again if we needed to be in the area.

  • Nice cottage in great surroundings. Super clean and lots of nice little things as a nice welcome! Would go back anytime! Can only be recommended!

    Dani2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful little cottage to use as a base to explore North Yorkshire! It was perfect for the 3 of us. Denise’s quick responses to all queries was appreciated. The goodies left for us were greatly appreciated. Comfy beds and linens made for terrific sleep. The location to the train station made travel easy Denise’s kind hospitality made our stay a happy one.

    Mary2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Can only repeat what everyone else has said! Cottage was super-clean, great welcome pack provided, Denise's communication was excellent. We didn't make use of use the garage, as parked on the street right outside on arrival and didn't need the car again. Got caught in Storm Dennis but the cottage was snug, warm and quiet all weekend. Managed to get in a bit of walking anyway, but had the perfect excuse to spend Sunday afternoon in the pub. (If you're a fan of cheese pie, you might want to try The Talbot!)

    Gillian2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A sweet cosy cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Denise is a wonderful host and her thoughtful touches and welcome basket made it even more special. Excellent location, close to everything. The fireplace was an added bonus. Can’t wait to come back in the summer.

    Pippa2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful, cosy cottage. We felt that at home we didn't want to leave. Denise kept in contact and everything was so easy, cottage was spotless and beautiful with little extras like wine, flowers, bread, butter and lots of other thoughtful things. The location is great as in the center of settle with the river at the top of the road and close to all the pubs and Victoria music hall. Supermarket also few mintues walk. Can't say enough how lovely this place is and we will be returning.

    Claire2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage was lovely, clean, cosy and welcoming with added extra of milk bread and more even including treats for the dog. Great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and settle centre, shops and pubs just a minute walk. Would stay again thanks Denise.

  • Denise is an excellent host and communicated very well. The cottage was warm and welcoming when we arrived late at night. Nana Jan’s was just perfect for three people. It was very clean and well equipped. It’s also a bonus having a garage to park your car. Denise provided a very generous welcome pack which was much appreciated. The cottage was in a great location; only a few minutes walk to the centre of Settle. Excellent food at The Golden Lion. A great base for walking in the Dales.

  • Nice cosy cottage walking distance from several pubs and a co-op. The hosts were very obliging accommodating us at short notice when our previous airbnb cancelled our reservation at the last minute. Kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was comfy.

    Joseph2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little cottage in a great spot from friendly people, what's not to like :) Parking was a little walk (it had been accurately described) but I turned out to be easy, I would say in the height of the season it might be a little more problematic but we found it a breeze and no issue at all. I would recommend this cottage and location.

  • Had a delightful time in Louise Cottage. Location is perfect - very close to the centre of town. Cottage was warm, cosy, spotlessly clean with those extra touches that make for a really pleasant stay like fresh flowers, hot water bottles, blankets, milk in the fridge, tea and cooking essentials. Check in was very easy, and hots provided lots of genuinely helpful local tips! :)

  • Both my friend I decided to meet up in Yorkshire for our first motorbike trip of the year and wanted somewhere close to the Dales and wonderful bike roads. The property is situated in the delightful little village of Giggleswick, within easy walking distance of Settle and its lovely bars and restaurants. We chose Anna place due it's proximity to Settle and its off road parking for our valued bikes. Anna greeted us as she is less then two minutes away and was delightful. She gave us a run down of the local eateries, the best local roads and places to see. The cottage is beautifully clean and very spacious, just what we needed. For those bikers among us or non drivers, there is a local pub/restaurant just 5 doors away. Great food and lovely beer. Would definetly recommend Anna place and the local amenities.

  • Lovely place to stay, so close to everything and great host

    Jon2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a delightful, cosy, very tastefully decorated cottage with everything you could possibly need. It works for a couple, a family and a group of friends as there are 2 places to relax and watch TV and 5 places to sleep. Anna gave us a great welcome and we’ll definitely return.

    Clare2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent. Anna was very attentive and the place was as described.

    Kyle2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage in an ideal spot to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Situated about 10-15 mins walk outside of Settle which has plenty pubs with good hearty food. We are a family of 5 adults who stayed over the New Year period. The cottage is cosy, clean & well equipped. Anna is a lovely host who can give you plenty of tips on walks & places to visit, there is also plenty of information available in the cottage. Can’t fault anything, had a great time, good walk & we’ll definitely be back 😄

Langcliffe is a peaceful, picturesque Dales village of stone cottages set around an expansive green, surrounded by craggy limestone fells. On the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, there are great walks and bike rides from the doorstep, yet you are within a mile of the amenities of Settle. Take a lovely, gentle walk along the River Ribble to the cafe at Knight Stainforth, hike 'over the tops' to Malham or do a section of the Pennine Bridleway. If you are feeling energetic you can tackle our local mountains (Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside) known at the Yorkshire 'Three Peaks' - the classic route starts at Horton, a little further up Ribblesdale. Malham with its famous cove (featured in Harry Potter), tarn, waterfall and Goredale scar is within a few miles. The area is famous for its caves and potholes - Ingleborough and White Scar caves are easily accessible and ideal for families, keen cavers will be spoilt for choice. We can help link you up with guides for walks, caving, climbing or cycling. Or go on a scenic drive past the iconic Ribblehead viaduct and into the heart of the Dales - we suggest some routes in our information pack. Nearby Settle is a bustling market town nestled under an impressive limestone scar. It is filled with cosy pubs serving traditional ale and hearty food, artisan cafes offering great coffee, brunch and cakes, independent gift and craft shops as well as an independent bakery, butcher, and delicatessen. Fish and chips and takeaways are also available. We'll be delighted to share our recommendations. There are a number of local farm shops and an excellent supermarket, 'Booths' in Settle. Settle also has a Co-op petrol garage with a large convenience shop should you need anything out of hours. There is also a doctors and pharmacy. Settle has a golf course, fishing and pony trekking nearby. Skipton with its castle, canal trips and markets and Kirkby Lonsdale with river walks, gourmet shops, market and cafes are both within 30 minutes drive. We can provide you with lots of suggestions to keep kids happy and busy! Settle has a heated indoor swimming pool, a large bike hire shop (including electric bikes), and playgrounds. There is a lovely 'hands-on' toy shop for little ones. Within 30-40 minutes drive there are farm parks, soft play centres, adventure playgrounds, forest adventure trails, accessible caves, cinemas and bowling alleys. Within an hour you can reach the Lake District which offers plenty of attractions for all ages.
  • What a fantastic cottage! We stayed for a fortnight and it was a real home-from-home with everything you could want. The beds, sofas and duvets are so comfortable. We spent many happy hours cooking and socialising in the lovely kitchen dinner. The separate shower and jacuzzi bath were both super. And the location is to die for. A short 20-25 min walk into Settle (or a 5 min drive) for pubs, shops, supermarket etc. And a few minutes walk into the magnificent Dales. We never tired of waking up to the view. All in all a very special place and one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

  • Green Cottage is a beautifully restored gem in a stunning hidden Dales location. Close to Settle and all amenities, yet set in rural splendour. The cottage has absolutely everything you’ll need for a very comfortable stay. Newly done bathrooms that our better than ours at home. We loved it so much we stayed an extra 3 nights!!

    Anne Marie2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Just had four nights at Green Cottage. All i can say is wonderful, fantastic property. Sarah and Simon have put so much work in to this lovely house. It is one of the best we have stayed in and hope to be back soon.

  • A beautiful refurbished Georgian cottage. All the fixtures and fittings are of excellent quality. The beds are very comfortable and we loved the goose down duvet on the king size bed. The welcome tray was full of local goodies and milk and cheese in fridge too. It was lovely looking out at the sheep on the hills in the morning and so quiet. We enjoyed only being a 20 minute walk into Settle as well. Due to a family emergency we had to leave earlier than planned but we will be back in Spring.

    Sarah2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great week here for autumn half term with our three children. The location of the house is ideal - views of the dales and right on a village green which has a playground and football field. There were walks right from the door, and just a mile out of Settle - lots of amenities on the door stop. The house itself is very cosy and comfortable and beautifully furnished. I would highly recommend this property and its hosts - who provided lots of information before arrival and after we arrived and left us some lovely treats for the start of our stay. We hope to be back.

  • We all throughly enjoyed our stay at Effies cottage its in a lovely part of the world and we went on a few walks local to settle, unfortunately the only downside is that we could not enjoy the local pubs/restaurants as The PM decided to shut them that particular weekend we chose, however we made the best of it and had a great time as a family 🙂

  • What a wonderful cottage, a lot larger than expected, with the bonus of having a parking space in the heart of Settle. Communication with Caroline was great, self check-in which was very easy. On entering the property it got a big wow from all of us, lovely traditional sitting room, with underfloor heating and log burner, fully equipped kitchen with plenty of room for the table, everything was there what we needed, plus some lovely extras. The bedrooms where light and airy with plenty of cupboard space, bathroom with separate bath and shower. Spotlessly clean throughout. Plenty of information leaflets about walks and places to visit. We had a fantastic stay, and will certainly come back if we're in the area again.

  • We loved our stay at without a doubt, one of the nicest AirBnB’s we’ve ever been to! The decor is so stylish. Little touches such as a local gin and biscuit hamper with milk in the fridge on arrival. Perfect location to explore with the dog with dog friendly bars and restaurants in the village. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back!

We are offering our family holiday home we've used for a number of years on Todber Valley Holiday Park. Todber Valley is a quiet holiday park with a good bar/restaurant, play areas for the children, a small store offering all the essentials and a launderette all within 100 meters of the holiday home. There are on site areas for dog walking, with immediate access to beautiful countryside located literally on the borders between Lancashire, The Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland (an AONB).
The Holiday home is a 35 x 12 foot Caravan with an open living-dining kitchen area with comfy seating a dining table. The double bedroom has ample wardrobes and a door into the main bathroom. Main bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. There is also a toilet room adjacent to the twin bedroom.
The park feels very much like a quiet neighbourhood. It feels more like a gated community than a holiday park. Most people on the park are residential therefore the upkeep and the tidiness of the park is exceptional compared to some that can feel a bit rough.
  • Great communication with the hosts and a lovely warm reception on arrival. The caravan was lovely and cosy with everything we needed for our weekend. Very clean, Comfy beds , nice hot shower, spacious living area. Couldn't have asked for more. The site is lovely in a great location. The Steamer pub on site serves nice food with a friendly welcome. We are looking forward to another trip soon.

Located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales right on the Pennine way. The ground floor apartment overlooks the River Aire and has amazing views across the river and beyond. There are excellent walk/cycle routes right on the door step. Malham is a 2.5 mile walk along the river. Both guest bedrooms are clean and comfortable. 1 has an ensuite shower room and there is a family bathroom with shower. Both the kitchen and bathrooms are new (June 2017).
Welcome to our comfortable, ground floor apartment in the Grade II listed former Airton mill. Airton is a small village in the Yorkshire Dales 9 miles NW of Skipton (The Gateway to the Dales). The apartment has just finished a major conversion (June 2017) which includes a new kitchen, ensuite shower room and family bathroom and new heating throughout. The mill has communal gardens, a BBQ area and access to 'Frank's Land' which is a pretty wildflower meadow alongside the river. The location is gorgeous and is definitely the best place to be on a sunny day. In summer the river is ideal for young children to play in (supervised of course) and it even has its own 'beach' on the other side of it. It's also ideal for the less energetic to relax and watch all the wildlife on the river and in the field opposite. For the more energetic there are numerous breathtaking walks and bike rides right from the door step. The Pennine Way actually crosses along the other side of the river. Some of the Dales most popular sites like Malham Cove, Malham Tarn, Janet's Foss and Gordale Scar are all within walking distance (3 miles). The nearest shop is the excellent farm shop and tea room which is a 5/10 minute walk. There is a good pub 2 miles away in Kirby Malham.
  • What a lovely place to stay. The river running by the front door was crystal clear and babbling. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped for our stay. A lovely surprise to find a Christmas bottle of Prosecco and biscuit box to greet us. We'll definitely try and book again when we next come to visit our Yorkshire based relatives.

  • A spacious, sparkling clean apartment in a great location! Sarah is a great host and she had thought of lots of extras to leave that are really handy! There was also a really good collection of games and toys for rainy days. The bathrooms and kitchen were modern and in good working order and there was plenty of space throughout the apartment. Thank you for a lovely holiday! 😊

  • Fantastic place, with very thoughtful touches. A lot of toys for children (though that was reducing space for own clothes in the one bedroom). However the flat it spacious and offers a great base for exploring parts of the Yorkshire Dales. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I can highly recommend it. Sarah was very helpful when we realised that we’ve left something behind and acted as communicator between us and the new guests. Thank you so much.

No. 1 Bowskills Yard is full of character and situated in a quiet and picturesque corner of upper Settle at the top of the aptly named Constitution Hill. It is both two minutes walk away from stunning open countryside and all the amenities of the market square. There is a pretty little suntrap garden, perfect for breakfast, a glass of wine at sundown and lit by fairy lights at night. The 300 year old cottage is comfortably furnished but also practical for those enjoying outdoor pursuits.
The cottage is situated on a hill and the road is narrow. The staircase is steep and therefore the cottage is unfortunately not suitable for the differently abled. Parking is difficult and there is no dedicated parking. There are, however, reasonably priced car parks close by and the cottage is within walking distance of the railway station. Up to two well-behaved dogs welcome (depending on size!) We provide luxury bedlinen and towels and all that you might need for the first couple of nights of your stay (a pint of milk, teabags, loo rolls etc). The Co-Op is at the bottom of the hill and is open from 7am to 10 pm every day. The well-equipped kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher, iron and ironing board. The cottage has fast broadband, a decent sized smart TV and a DVD player. The stone floors downstairs are practical for those enjoying the fabulous walking nearby. There are plenty of coatpegs. Upstairs the cosy bedroom has a comfy double bed with views over the ancient rooftops and countryside beyond. A hairdryer is provided. The bathroom has a large bath with shower over and is sparkling clean and fresh. We guarantee you will relax!
Settle has three pubs and some decent eateries. There are plenty of good coffee/tea shops. Settle Victoria Hall has a wide variety of events, including live music and the National Theatre Live Screening. There are two supermarkets (Booths and the Co-Op) and a few individual shops. The Settle to Carlisle railway is the most picturesque railway journey in the UK and steam trains pass through regularly. Surrounded by rugged hills, Settle has an air of tranquillity that is a welcome antidote to the stresses of modern life.
  • So fabulously comfortable, very clean, a perfect cottage for a truly wonderful holiday in the Dales. There is everything you need, and you’re close to shops, amenities and walks. Parking is very easy in the car parks which are all close by, plus parking in the main square two minutes away. A wonderful sunny little front sitting area. Gorgeous!!

The accommodation was perfect for our getaway. The kitchen had everything we needed and we enjoyed the comfy sofa and bed! The views were stunning with the most beautiful places right on the doorstep. Can’t wait for life to return to normal so that we can revisit and enjoy everything that Malham and the surrounding area has to offer. Thank you Lawrence and family for being fantastic hosts

Nestled amidst the stunning countryside of the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales, the Barn is the perfect romantic getaway for couples to relax and unwind. An open plan ground floor with traditional flagged floor and shaker-style kitchen with granite worktops. An eclectic blend of modern and retro furniture gives this characterful barn a luxurious feel. From the window enjoy views over farmland stretching almost as far as the eye can see towards Ingleborough and Pen-Y-Ghent.
Fire up the log-burning stove, rustle up a meal on the double oven/grill and have a frothy coffee snuggling on the sofa to watch TV or a DVD. On warm evenings step out into the private, walled garden, put some charcoal on the barbeque and dine al-fresco listening to the gentle sounds of the stream – the perfect end to a day out in the Dales. At the end of the day, sink into the comfy, super king sized bed and maybe do some dark sky star gazing! Refreshed and ready for the day, your bathroom is superbly fitted with a walk-in shower, bath and large vanity unit; soft, fluffy towels and a hairdryer are provided. As you prepare to start the day take in the picture-postcard views over glorious farmland and then breakfast on the patio whilst you plan your day with the selection of maps and books provided. Wifi is available free of charge.
Eldroth House is a superb stone built property in the idyllic rural village of Eldroth. It is close to the market town of Settle, and is perfectly placed for exploring the beauty of the Forest of Bowland, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The Forest of Bowland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Eldroth House is situated in open countryside with views of Pen Y Ghent and Ingleborough, and makes an ideal base for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Walks or pedalling part of the route of the 2016 Tour de Yorkshire! The House is within easy access of the cities of Lancaster, Leeds and York and is just a short drive from the historic towns of Skipton, Clitheroe and Kirkby Lonsdale.
  • The location is truly spectacular with beautiful views over the Dales, a stream running through the garden and complete peace and quiet. The barn itself is beautifully done - very comfortable and clean and we were welcomed with a lovely basket of local produce. Unfortunately we were only able to stay three out of the seven nights booked, which means that it turned out to be a rather expensive few days (!) as the Coronavirus had hit and the country went into lockdown while we were there. In hindsight perhaps we shouldn’t have gone but everything escalated so quickly. From the few days we were there it’s clear how wonderful a full week would have been and we would definitely hope to return to fully enjoy everything the place has to offer. Highly recommended!

    Joanna2020-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect stay in the gorgeous Barn in Eldroth. A home from home! Absolutely stunning home with beautiful views and finished to an extremely high standard. The barn was immaculate throughout, a huge, comfortable bed and pristine bedding. Cosy, warm and quiet. We can not recommend highly enough. We loved everything and would definitely stay again! Thank you.

  • A lovely place to stay in Yorkshire.

    Joel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say about The Barn that hasn’t been said already? It has been by far the most perfect Air Bnb experience we have ever had. Warm and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Jill is a wonderful host - always at hand when we had a question. The Barn is in a great location, just a 15 min drive into Settle (where there are plenty of pubs and shops - we also picked up a lovely Indian one night) and more importantly close to outstanding views and walks in the North Yorkshire countryside. We just loved every minute. Can’t wait to book again. Thank you!

    Bethany2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, warm and very well kitted out. Good location for walking in the dales and meeting old friends.

    Peter2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and John have made considerable effort to create a comfortable and stylish barn conversion. We immediately felt at home and a bit spoilt! A nice surprise was to look out in the evenings and see lots of stars in this dark sky location. Within a short drive are great places to see in both the Forest of Bowland AONB and the Yorkshire Dales national park. We also appreciated the stream that runs through the garden. As a couple, we had everything we needed for a relaxing couple of days.

    John2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, cosy place to stay. We felt at home immediately and would love to visit again at some point. The barn is very clean and full of lovely extra touches.

Unique Country Cottage in the heart of Settle, less than a minutes’ walk to the market square, yet peaceful & quiet. Well-proportioned and well equipped, with sympathetic interior design, which is sure to make you smile. Quality fixtures, fittings and furniture throughout. The property will not disappoint.
Keep Cottage, Settle, BD24 9EU. Keep Cottage is situated off the main thoroughfare, up a beautiful, quiet, cobbled street. The house dates back to 1827 and has original beams, staircase and tiles. Keep Cottage was originally the Registry Office for marriages. The open plan, kitchen, dining, living space is cosy yet spacious. The large wood burning stove makes a lovely feature, especially in winter. There is plenty of seating, with chesterfield sofa, comfy occasional chair, Ercol dining table & chairs and bar-stools at the butchers block. Great for families and entertaining. Upstairs you will find a romantic master bedroom with king sized bed and high-quality Eve mattress. The 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed, which is a double on the bottom and single on top, to cater for all bookings. The bathroom is spacious with a bath and shower over. Please note the fantastic large windows let plenty of light in and are to the original design. Throughout the cottage we have furnished the interiors with local and classical artwork. There is also a space under the stairs for the washer/dryer and freezer. Outside there is a bijou walled garden, which is a sun trap from midday to sundown. Please enjoy using our potted herbs.
Settle is a historic market town with fantastic local amenities and eateries. Many people use it as a base for exploring the Dales and South Lakes. The town is ideally located with Skipton 15 miles South and Kirkby Lonsdale 16 miles North. The famous 3 peaks challenge starts at Horton-in-Ribblesdale just outside the town. Gentler walks are also on your doorstep with Castleberg viewing point, being a 5 minute walk away. The scenic back route out of Settle takes guests further into the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, with Malham, Grassington and Kettlewell only a short drive or cycle ride away.
  • Hannah's cottage is perfect. If you are looking for a place in this area, stop searching and just book now. You could live in that cottage: it is fully equipped, with a lovely kitchen and great bathroom. All of the living spaces are very well decorated, with loads of lovely touches. The main bedroom is great, the second one has a bunk bed, but even that is very pretty and just all-round lovely. This is clearly a labour of love and you'll want to stay there forever. We can't think of a single fault. Thank you Hannah.

  • Beautiful apartment, despite the weather being poor (our fault for going away while there were floods!) the apartment was so cosy and comfortable that we didn’t mind staying in for the rest of the evening. Lovely little finishing touches as well to make you feel more welcome!

  • A lovely, cosy studio - beautifully decorated & really clean. Perfect for two, with everything you need for your stay! Very welcoming for pets too.
