Places to stay in Santa Fe
Delightful sunny room in adobe home 5 minutes by car from plaza and the opera. Brick floors, high wood ceilings, light filled house. Use of the kitchen and 2 patios, shared bath with one other room, off street parking. House is in pine covered foothills, 30 minutes to ski area. Sorry, but we do not accept pets.
This is a home filled with Asian antiques and textiles while still having the feel of a traditional Santa Fe house. The patios are secluded and surrounded with pines. The house is run with passive and active solar and has a water catchment system and greenhouse.
The neighborhood is one with large acre zoning and is filled with trees. The house is on 3 1/2 acres with an arroyo for walking. Hiking trails are within 15 min of the house.
  • Felt home after the first second I walked in! Such a silent, sacred space and I slept like a baby :) Thank you Susan and Steve for opening your home to travelers. I loved my two nights and happy we met! Highly recommended. Love , D

  • Staying with a local homeowner is so much better than being in a motel. The owners gave us advice about fabulous places we would never have seen on our own. What a great way to travel!

  • Such a gem. Genuinely one of the most beautiful homes I've ever visited. I came as a solo traveler hoping to get some writing and research done, and this was the perfect spot. Quiet, tranquil, beautiful inside and out. And Steve and Susan are such nice and interesting people! Truly a refreshing retreat. Can't wait to return.

  • Susan and Stephen made me feel right at home. Everything was so clean and had a well curated eclectic vibe. The house was a perfect drive to the plaza and the home was neatly tucked away, quiet and quaint. I was able to sit and chat in the meditation room with Steve with some tea before my departure. The bed was very comfortable and the plants and sunshine were the perfect touch on a winters day.

Authentic, family and pet friendly two bedroom casita in family compound with all the amenities.
COVID-19 - What we are doing We know these are uncertain times and want to assure you of the steps we are taking for your health and safety. All surfaces, cabinets, knobs, light switches, remotes, high use wall areas, floors and furniture are bleached between each guest. We removed all accent pillows and extra blankets. We usually leave many towels but have started leaving only what's needed for each visit. Please let us know if you need more. We have foaming hand soap and encourage its use. Please let us know if there's anything more we can do. Thank you for considering our space Quiet two bedroom casita in the historical Village of Agua Fria on the Camino Real. fifteen minutes from the plaza and Canyon Road. Five minutes from Meow Wolf and walking trails. The casita has a queen size bed and a trundle bed, which pulls out and makes a queen or can serve as two singles. There is a fireplace in the master bedroom. The kitchen is stocked with appliances to make the most comfortable living. The bathroom has a tub and shower. We offer a television and wifi. The casita has a fenced yard accommodating dogs and children with an outdoor grill and table set. Parking for two next to the casita with additional down the road. The Aqua Fria village is one of the first villages created when the Spaniards conquered Santa Fe therefore our neighbors have been here for generations creating family compounds that are situated in the old farming fields of Santa Fe. The area feels rural yet completely centrally located in the city. We are available at all times if a problem or need arises.
Our neighborhood is rich in history and houses locals who are related and have been here for generations. The neighborhood has a variety of compounds where families live close and yet there is space between the compounds. It's rural and gives the feeling of time standing still, providing a quiet, authentic Santa Fe experience.
  • This place was amazing. So close to all of the fun stuff in Santa Fe like Meow Wolf and bars and shops but also out in the beautiful, scenic desert. I could have stayed forever. Super well stocked shower with hot water and wonderful amenities. Cozy beds, blankets, and couches to snuggle up with. I really appreciated that! Kitchen and was well stocked with a lot of appliances and condiments, and everything was super clean. Cute fenced in yard offered an amazing sunset view and was great for the dogs to roam around in. Would stay here again, again, and again. Thank you!

    Hannah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • A gorgeous place! The bed was also super comfy! It is a 10 minute drive to meow wolf and about 15-20 min from downtown.

Very quiet, 1000 ft of living space, perfect location - 3 mi frm the plaza, easy access to I-25 and 285 . Off street parking. Friendly cat shares the space. Close to Ten Thousand Waves, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, St. John's College, Santa Fe Opera and Santa Fe Institute. Bedroom w/ queen bed, Living rm, kitchen, 2 private gardens. Lots of natural light! worldwide photos and artifacts throughout. Washer dryer available for a fee of $4/ load... we are in a desert, use water wisely.
This charming house has a cozy interior, comfy queen-sized bed, kitchen, living and dining room and a private front garden, back patio and large back yard that opens to open space with a bike path just across the arroyo. The kitchen is well equipped, My home is in this quiet residential neighborhood. It is less than a block from neighborhood parks, a walking/bike trail and city bus stops and the new kiss and ride train station is about a quarter mile away, an easy walk. It's a lovely place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The optional 2nd bedroom has a single bed with a trundel single for a fee. The laundry room is shared however if your stay is short will never be used while you are there, if longer than a week then Karen, the manager will make arrangements with you when you will not be there so really it is never used when you are there. Please note that Kitty ... the resident cat... does share the space with you!
This is a nice quiet neighborhood. The backyard backs up to an arroyo with walking and biking trails on the far side of it. The bike trails actually go all the way downtown, about 2 1/2 miles. There is an Albertsons walking distance to the house on St Francis and Zia along with little eateries. Personally I usually go downtown to some of our wonderful New Mexican restaurants or to Harry's Roadhouse. We are happy to give you hints or help choosing places to visit, eat or explore. In the winter or summer we are just 35 minutes from the ski basin, perfect for skiing, snow shoeing, hiking or viewing the aspens. Ten Thousand waves is on the way back for the perfect end to a day outdoors. Museum HIll is just 5 minutes away with world class museums. The Plaza and Canyon Road are less than 10- minutes away with all they have to offer - galleries, museums, artisans, restaurants...
  • Beautiful place and great location ❤️

There is a brand new heater in the studio! This historic studio so built in 1871 -- has hardwood floors, exposed beams, renovated private bathroom, large stone fireplace & small private deck. Located in the historic district, just off Canyon Rd & 3/4 of a mile to the Plaza.
This is an historic adobe, built in 1871, and situated on a quiet, tree-lined street -- just a few blocks from the best galleries and restaurants of Canyon Road. A little over a half mile to the Plaza and Museum Hill, the neighborhood is considered the most desirable in Santa Fe. This is due not only to the location and charm but also because it's the greenest part of town, in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range, near the river, with gorgeous light and shadows as well as proximity to fantastic walking and hiking trails. The space itself is a studio attached to the back of our home. It has a separate entrance with its own walkway to a secluded patio and front door. The space is quite large with a King size bed in the center and a sitting area with two large leather chairs facing the stone fireplace. A sliding glass door leads out to a small, enclosed deck looking over the garden. Remodeled in 2010, it has a modern bathroom with a large tiled shower. It also has a large closet, dresser, desk with books & magazines on Santa Fe and northern New Mexico, a mini fridge and small table with coffee and tea. There is a secure, private WiFi connection for streaming of movies etc. There is no television. It's a large, quiet space with beautiful light and, over the years, a number of writers and artists -- local & international -- have chosen to make regularly scheduled visits. This space has been described by many Airbnb guests as very sweet, "relaxing" and "romantic". Homes in this neighborhood were built in the Pueblo Revival style dating back to the early 1800's. The trees are older and taller than in other areas of Santa Fe, blessing the neighborhood with much coveted shade. Our street borders on the historic Acequia Madre -- or Mother Ditch -- a unique and beautiful stream which winds through town. And, lastly, Canyon Road, an international destination for art, has over a hundred galleries and studios exhibiting Native American art and antiquities, traditional and modern Hispanic art, regional Contemporary art, international folk art and international contemporary art. Walking distance from the house is a wonderful cafe and restaurant called The Tea House and a well shaded, grassy park which borders on the Santa Fe River -- Patrick Smith Park. El Farol, a Santa Fe institution, has live music most nights and many of our guests love sitting out on their balcony in the evening, enjoying a drink while watching people come and go from the galleries. The house is about three quarters of a mile from the Plaza. The walk to the Plaza is a very enjoyable stroll down Canyon Road or along the river walkway. We are also about three quarters of a mile away from Museum Hill. If you prefer not to walk, the 'M' line city bus in our neighborhood goes to both places. The Santa Fe trolley to tourist destinations runs right through this neighborhood as well. Santa Fe is the oldest snd highest -- in elevation -- capitol city in the country. Our neighborhood is the oldest in town and the roads were all originally horse trails! Many are dirt and very narrow, with lots of twists and curves. I always warn guests that GPS will send you to some interesting places in this part of town...but not necessarily your exact destination! I can't get enough of wandering the roads/trails of our neighborhood. It's one of my favorite things to do with my daughter in the evenings or on the weekends. We just set out walking in any direction and find all kinds of hidden pathways and "dead end" roads which lead to tree-lined pathways along the acequias, arroyos and river. One of the reasons I love being an Airbnb host is that I get to meet such a great diversity of incredibly interesting people. We have become friends with many guests over the years and have even gone to visit some of our guests in their homes on Airbnb -- wonderful!
The Historic Eastside is an incredibly desirable neighborhood for visitors to Santa Fe for many, many reasons. It was the home of the original inhabitants. Homes in this neighborhood were built in the Pueblo Revival style dating back to the early 1800's. The trees are older and taller than in other areas of Santa Fe, blessing the neighborhood with much coveted shade and water. Our street borders on the historic Acequia Madre -- or Mother Ditch -- a unique and beautiful stream which winds through town. Our house is in a fantastic location in terms of access to beauty as well as tourist attractions. Just to the east of us is St. John's College with its beautiful campus, open fields, large arroyo for walking and the trailhead for Atalaya hiking. Just to the south of us is Museum Hill -- a collection of five of the most visited museums in town, including the Botanical Garden and the International Folk Art Museum. To the north of us are the Dale Ball Trails and the Audobon Center. And right down the road from us is the infamous Canyon Road, an international destination for art -- with over a hundred galleries and studios exhibiting Native American art and antiquities, traditional and modern Hispanic art, regional Contemporary art, international folk art and international contemporary art.
  • It's a nice cozy place. The fireplace is a really nice touch. It's a quick walk to Canyon Road and about 1.5 mile to downtown. I would stay again if I ever need to find a place in Santa Fe.

    Colin2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Christine’s place is very sweet. Would loved to have used the fireplace (it snowed while I was there) but allergies didn’t permit. Great location - walking distance to funky Canyon Road. Would love to return and see more of the area surrounding Santa Fe, and will give myself more time.

    Trudy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away in the back of a house, this quite private feeling studio is only about a mile from downtown and Christina will provide everything you need. Would stay again

    Eric2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was awesome! Cute and cozy. We saw the previous reviews and I can say we experienced only the best time during our stay here. No complaints here, only gratitude.

    Aubrie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and stylish. The fireplace and patio are beautiful. We didn’t have any issues with heating- it snowed overnight and it was nice and warm inside. A beautiful skylight over the bed too.

    Alanna2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Christina’s place is in an older historic part of Santa Fe among adobe compounds and winding streets. The room is warm and inviting, and while attached to the main house, there is a private entrance, and the room is very quiet. Unlike a previous review, I note there was plenty of heat, as well as a functioning fireplace. The place is an easy 5 minute Uber ride to downtown. This is my second stay here, and when I come to Santa Fe again this will be my first choice.

    Randall2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely overnight at Christina's place in Santa Fe. The house was in a really charming neighborhood, and within walking distance to old town. The space was private and elegant and the bed was nice and comfy. Thank you!!

    Barbara2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Christina as simply wonderful! When we arrived, Christina had a fire prepared and extra firewood which we used for the rest of our stay! The room was filled with beautiful Santa Fe atmosphere and within walking and driving distance to some of the best places to eat in the city. Christina’s suggestions of areas to try out turned out to be better than expected and made our visit wonderful. Taking relaxing walks around the neighborhood or drives to visit many of the attractions that the Santa Fe area has to offer, it was always good to get back to Christina’s which seemed like home.

My place is 1.2mi from the plaza in a conveniently located residential neighborhood. With its small, simple, Santa Fe style, you'll feel at home right away! The main room has a kiva fireplace & sleeper sofa as well as a full kitchen & small dining area. There is a separate bedroom with closet & washer/dryer. The enclosed, private courtyard is perfect for kids & pets. This guesthouse is separate from, but next to my home where I live with my partner, our son, and two fuzzy dogs!
As you walk in through the rustic red gate, you enter into an open, shady courtyard/small garden filled with lilac, an apricot tree, and wildflowers in the summer months. The front porch (in New Mexico it's called a portal) spans the length of the guesthouse & is very much a part of the living space. With it's lively rug & simple outdoor seating area, it is always hard to make yourself go inside & miss out on our incredible New Mexico weather! Two sets of french doors are meant to be thrown open to bring the outside in. The first set of doors opens to the main room with it's traditional kiva fireplace, sleeper sofa, and full kitchen. The flat-screen TV is available for streaming & both Netflix & Amazon video services are included. The guesthouse has radiant floor heat and colored concrete floors, although the fireplace is often more than enough. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, & is stocked with pots, pans, & utensils. A small dining area with a handmade table & vintage chairs is perfect for dining, working, or games! A small washer/dryer unit is next to the bathroom which has a tub/shower combination. There is a pocket door hidden in the doorway between the bedroom & main room for privacy (or supervision if necessary!). The bedroom has a queen size bed (built by Scott) along with a closet & hangers. The second set of French doors opens into this bedroom from the portal, so you can let the beautiful weather or just the sunshine in! Please keep in mind that Santa Fe has been living in drought conditions for many years, and as a result we have some of the the lowest water consumption per person in the US, with our per person rates averaging 95 gallons per person per day, compared to the national average of 150! We therefore ask you to be mindful of your water use in our dry city (i.e. turn off the tap while brushing, etc...).
My neighborhood is great! The location is amazing in that it is close to everything, without being in the middle of everything. It is a typical neighborhood in Santa Fe, which means it isn't really typical of anything. It is a residential street, although you won't find any lawns or that sort of thing, most of the residences here are behind adobe walls. It's residential, yet just two blocks away from St. Francis, which is one of the larger thoroughfares in the city. The "Tune Up" cafe, which was featured on the Food Network, is just three blocks away, as well as a laundromat two blocks in the opposite direction. If you like to cook or dine in, there is a Sprouts, Albertson's, and CVS about a mile away at DeVargas Center (there are restaurants & shops as well). During the summer months, the Farmer's Market is a very popular place for local organic produce & other products. The Railyard District has a Violet Crown movie theater, restaurants, shops, galleries & events just 0.5mi down the street. Canyon Road & the Santa Fe plaza are about 1.5mi away and offer endless choices for dining, gallery strolling, and shopping all steeped in 400 years of history. The plaza (or downtown) area is about a mile away and has zillions of shops, galleries, and restaurants as well as one of Santa Fe's specialties - museums! The New Mexico History Museum, Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, Governor's Palace, New Mexico Museum of Art, & famed Institute of American Indian Art are all right there (not including our own Museum Hill, with a handful of other museums there!). If you're taking a day trip up north to Chimayo or thereabouts, simply hop on to St. Francis and you're already on 285 north. If you'd like to head up the mountain for snowboarding or hiking, swing around Paseo de Peralta to Artist Rd & you're on your way.
  • We signed up at the last minute and Liz was very accommodating! The place is very comfortable and lots of nice touches. We also enjoyed the Tune Up Cafe just around the corner. I highly recommend liz’s place.

    Annie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, spacious, and cozy space. It was so convenient to have a washer/dryer to use in the middle of a long trip. And the fireplace was a great addition :)

  • A great home base for a trip to Santa Fe — Liz was an amazing host. Highly recommended! Be sure to bring some firewood because the fireplace is fantastic.

  • This is a beautiful place in a convenient neighborhood, with a full kitchen, charming decor, and a comfortable bed. Current newspaper was left, and it’s so great to have a dining and living area. There’s a little confusion about how to lock the door when you leave. Be sure to read the manual.

Our 100 year old adobe house is located in the heart of the Santa Fe Baca District. We are 1.8 miles from the plaza-- a 10 minute drive and about a 35-40 minute walk. You will have your own private entrance and private bathroom. There are walking trails close by and great restaurants are in walking distance. We are a 15-20 minute walk to the Santa Fe Farmers Market, and we are two blocks from public transportation. Please be aware this room is for 1 guest per night.
The room has a private entrance and bathroom and has been decorated with Latin American folk art, and is authentic Adobe. The room has a coffee maker, small fridge, tea kettle, towels, a VERY comfy bed (it's a soft mattress), wifi and a porch. Please be aware our adobe does not have AC, but stays pretty cool during the summer and a fan is provided. The room does not have a TV. You will be sharing the rest of the house with me, my husband Luis and Roommate Martin and our cat Sam. Please not this is a very old Adobe home and ceiling height is about 6 feet.
The Baca district is perfect example of old adobe Santa Fe. Families who have been here for generations live here, as well as newly arrived families. This neighborhood has become popular with art studios and is blocks away from great restaurants (Tuneup, Counter Culture) and bike trails (acequia rail trail). We are 15 minutes walking to the famous Santa Fe Farmers Market. If you want an authentic Santa Fe experience you have found the right place.
  • Clean, cozy, awesome local information, and in a perfect Santa Fe location

  • A classically decorated Santa Fe adobe room with a very comfortable bed in a great section of town that is close to all the great city sites. Alicia put together one the most comprehensive city guides I have ever seen!! Enjoy

    Cynthia2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • I only stayed one night as I was passing through Santa Fe on a road trip, but Alicia's place was very comfortable and had everything I might want for a night!

    Emilie2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBnB experience and I could not have chosen a better place than Alicia's. Extremely cleanly and hospitable. If you're looking for a location close to downtown Santa Fe you will not be disappointed staying here.

  • The Santa Fe hostel is the perfect place for anyone needing an economical stopover in, or retreat to, Santa Fe. The private room was just as expected. The requisite chores build solidarity and keep u interacting with the environs in a stimulating way. Whether u have chosen Santa Fe as a place of rest of play, u can be assured this is the best place to stay for the money. In case you haven't heard, Whole Foods donates load and a half of food to this place. In the massive commercial fridge there were like 10 pounds of fresh guacamole, all sorts of fancy nut milk and vegan products, the delicious Siggi's skyr, and tons of fresh veggies, fruits, sandwiches from the ready made department, snacks, just anything rlly. A vast array of spices and cooking utensils in the commercial style kitchen with two professional grade 4 burner gas stoves and ovens and a massive vent fan overhead. Everyone was helpful and kind. I definitely hope to return.

    D. Anna2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • I loved being a part of this community for three days. Wonderful place, warm friendly people. Clean accommodations. It was fun to look in the fridge area every morning to see what new things had come in from Whole Foods.

    Kathy2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Bus stop right outside - bus no 2 goes right to the plaza. On Saturday and Sunday first bus is 830 am. Then every half hour. Better on weekdays. If you call the number on the bus stop sign they will answer and help you! Counter Culture is a restaurant right 3 blocks away. Train stop is close and bus no 2 picks up there and drops you off right across the street from the hostel. $1.00 fare or $2.00 all day.

    Susan2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here! The staff was super friendly and gave some great suggestions for local food, and places to visit. The free kitchen is a plus if you are doing budget friendly travel, and the chores are easy and quick! I would definitely stay again!

Our place is close to public transport. You’ll love the place because of the ambiance, good for solo adventurers and business travelers. There is a sunshield to prevent excessive heat during the day plus an extractor fan in the skylight. There are no drapes but you'll be quite far enough from the road for the unlikelihood of peeping passers-by (!) and the morning sun should greet you filtered through the great pinon tree.
  • Thank you, Christopher! Delightful stay with music, sun in the morning, stars at night. Such great energy in the house. Would highly recommend.

    Antonia2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Chris was fantastic! His home has wonderful decor and a great ambience. Evefything from the bedrooms, to the kitchen, to the bathroom was spotless! The sun room was very comfortable and much roomier than the picture suggests. The location was great (very central to food, drink, and attractions). I will certainly stay again if I am in town.

    Terry2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher is a wonderful host. He's warm and kind and has a lovely home. Anyone will enjoy their stay at this place

    Nandita2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher was a wonderful host, and the sun room was an incredible place to wake up to each morning!

    Arcelia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described, the sunroom is a small, beautiful room with a comfortable bed, a down quilt, and a sense of sleeping in the manzanitas among stars and moon at night, waking to sunshine. Christopher is an excellent host, calm and good natured. It's a gorgeous house, both in Santa Fe style and European feel. The room can be cold at night (there's a good little space heater) and hot in the day, so it's best if you love natural surroundings.

    Molly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! I loved the sunroom! Such a good idea and nice escape from the noise. I enjoyed all the windows :)

    Wyatt2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It was a great place to land for a night in Santa Fe.

Romantic, comfortable cottage within a private compound with off street parking and all the amenities of home. The cottage is located on a quiet, safe historic east-side street. Just an easy three block walk to the Plaza, one block to Canyon Rd., around the corner you will find gorgeous walking paths along the Santa Fe River. The La Posada resort is around the corner as is the Drury Hotel and Cathedral is two blocks away. O'Keefe Museum, the Convention Center, and Railyard are one mile.
This comfortable, stand alone cottage is equipped with everything you need to make your Santa Fe vacation fabulous! The property is conveniently located within a private compound and has off street parking for one vehicle directly in front of the unit. Once parked, you can walk anywhere within the downtown area without worry of paying for parking or looking for a parking spot. You will find all of Santa Fe's downtown art, culture, museums, galleries, restaurants, and nightlife an easy walk from this great little cottage. The cottage includes three rooms: 1) A full kitchen, complete with microwave, coffee maker, full sized refrigerator, four burner stove/oven, toaster and other cooking essentials. The kitchen is stocked with gourmet coffee, creamers and light breakfast items. A bar with two bar stools is available in the kitchen from which to enjoy meals. 2) The bedroom/living room combo is equipped with a queen size bed made up with high thread count sheets, blankets, comforter and several soft pillows. Next to the bed are two side lamps on small tables. There is a digital clock with an iPod docking station next to the bed. This room also holds a comfortable recliner and a club chair, a high top table with two stools a tall-boy dresser and the TV. We install a large portable refrigerated air conditioner for the warmer afternoons in the summer. 3) The European style (tiny) bathroom has a shower, sink in cabinet and potty. It is stocked with towels, soap, hair blower, shampoo, cream rinse. The shower provides lots of hot water. A gas fire place in the bedroom provides a romantic and warm setting for comfortable sleep during the winter. In addition electric baseboard heat is in the kitchen and bath to ensure your comfort. We offer our guests FREE high speed internet and Dish TV. Enjoy a full array of FREE movies available on HBO, Cinemax, Starz and Showtime on the 32 inch flat screen television.. In the closet you will find extra towels, sheets, blankets, pillows and a full sized ironing board and iron. Washer/Dryer is available with a $4.00 per load fee (includes soap).
The Santa Fe Plaza, several museums, the Cross of the Martyrs, the Oldest House in the USA, Georgia O’Keefe, The Miraculous Staircase at the Loretto Chapel, the Renowned St. Francis Cathedral and the world famous Canyon Rd are a short walk away. If you head north to the end of the street and then turn left you will run into the La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa (just around the corner). There you can book massages and treatments, eat a meal $$-$$$$ or just enjoy the intimate fireplace in the lobby and architecture that highlights the magic of the southwest. Continue walking further down the street to 106 Faithway and you'll run into Absolute Nirvana--a luxurious spa specializing in exotic Balinese spa and facial treatments. Just a little further down Palace Ave. you might want to enjoy breakfast at Chez Mamou French Bakery & Cafe $$. The lemon tarts are my favorite! There are several more great restaurants on E. Palace including La Casa Sena $$-$$$ and The Shed. $$. As you pass the shops on E. Palace you will certainly want to take a peek in at 109 E. Palace. This was the secret headquarters of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the head of the Manhattan Project who recruited scientists to live and work in Los Alamos. You will be close to the Santa Plaza if you continue on E. Palace. There you will come across Native Americans from the surrounding Pueblos selling their jewelry and wares in front of the Palace of the Governors. These Native Americans have been selling wares for centuries at this very same place! The Palace of the Governors was originally constructed in the early 17th century as Spain's seat of government for what is today the American Southwest, This adobe structure, now the state's history museum, was designated a Registered National Historic Landmark in 1960 and an American Treasure in 1999. On most days you will find activities abuzz on the Santa Fe Plaza. More great restaurants surround the Plaza. Enjoy a brewery beer and pizza from the balcony of Marble Brewery $-$$ as you "people watch" from above or if you decide on breakfast—try the Blue Corn Pinon Pancakes or the sinful to die for French Toast at the Plaza Restaurant $-$$ right on the square. Also downtown you will find New Mexico History Museum located at 113 Lincoln Avenue And just a few blocks away don't miss out on the fabulous Georgia O'Keeffe Museum located at 217 Johnson St. It is dedicated to the life, art and legacy of Georgia O'Keeffe. Don't forget to stop by the Cathedral or enjoy arts and crafts by local vendors in the Cathedral Park. Across the Street from Cathedral Park is the Native American Museum. If you head towards San Francisco Street stop into the La Fonda Hotel. The Pueblo-style architecture features thick wood beams, latilla ceilings and carved corbels. Special touches such as hand-crafted chandeliers, tin and copper lighting fixtures, and colorful tiles add character and charm. Beautiful hand-carved and hand-painted furniture and displays by local artists create a rich ambience. La Fonda has always been a local gathering spot and a hub of activity with two restaurants, one indoor bar, two patio bars and several shops. Frequently you will find music and dancing in the evenings. Two of our favorite restaurants can be found on San Francisco St. The San Francisco Bar and Grill is excellent for lunch or dinner $-$$ and Tia Sophia's is great for breakfast $. There is a Star Bucks on San Francisco St., and you might want to check out the Lensic Performing Arts Center located at 211 W. San Francisco St. You can get tickets to concerts and performances at the box office or online at (URL HIDDEN) The historic Lensic Theater is an absolutely beautiful building reminiscent of the grand old theaters. It was one of two movie theaters we went to as children when I was growing up in Santa Fe. It was built in 1931. Of course on the way back you must not forget to visit the Miraculous Staircase found at the Loretto Chapel which adjacent to the Inn and Spa of Loretto located at 211 Old Santa Fe Trail. The Chapel itself is beautiful but more importantly the staircase known for its unusual helix shaped spiral has baffled scientists and architects for years. IMO it is a "must see". During most days there is an artisan market in the courtyard outside of the Loretto Chapel. The bar at the Loretto often provides wonderful classical guitar music by the fireplace in the beautiful and comfortable lounge. Walk south on Delgado and you will run into the famous Canyon Road where you will find dozens upon dozens of Art Galleries. You can spend entire days browsing through the art, sculptures and many artifacts you will find on this road. Restaurants on Canyon The Teahouse $-$$ (Open 8-7, all week) on Canyon Rd is another great place for breakfast and lunch. Enjoy your meal or tea on their pebble stone patio in the sunshine. The baked goods are usually very good as are their salads. The coffee drinks are a little better than average. Casual atmosphere, great magazine selection for design and fashion. They have the NY Times. El Farol on Canyon Rd. $$-$$$ Check out their entertainment line-up, everything from salsa night, to blues bands, to trivia night (Monday). They have a tapas (small Spanish plates) menu, as well as a dinner menu. There’s usually a place to sit at the bar and get to know people, visitors and residents alike Geronimo's on Canyon $$$$ offers fine dining. But don't be intimidated, go inside and check out the inner bar room. The friendly bartender will make you feel at home. There is a great bar menu. For a more formal evening, the restaurant has excellent service and top-notch food and wine. The building is from the 1700's. The Compound $$$$ Small portions, expensive—but some people enjoy it. Cafe Artiste $-$$ Casual breakfast or lunch. It is west on Canyon close to the Paseo de Peralta. Friendly, small, coffee and pastries, crepes. Downtown Subscription is at the corner of Garcia St and Acequia Madre. Nice coffee shop with loads of magazines to peruse. Patio out back and in the front. The espresso drinks are decent. Lots of local people. The coffee shop is on the corner in a strip with a nice book store, photography gallery (Photo-eye). Pick up the local paper out front. Kakawa Chocolate House on the Paseo de Peralta is a darling chocolate house offering delicious hand crafted chocolate creations. Old Santa Fe Trail At the corner of SF Trail and Alameda is the Bite $-$$ where you can get one of the best burgers in the USA or continue South and you will find the Guadalupe Café for lunch or dinner $$. The food is consistently delicious and is one of my favorites. For a casual lunch or dinner you might want to try a gourmet pizza at the Upper Crust. Two other noteworthy restaurants are the Pink Adobe and the Rio Chama Steak House. At the end of this block you will find yourself at our State’s Capitol fondly referred to as the Round-House.

The cottage is full of Santa Fe charm with a cozy, pretty interior, skylights and lots of natural light, a fully-stocked kitchen corner, handmade cabinets, Mexican tile, comfy queen-sized bed, and a private garden patio. It's a quiet haven but centrally located, just 2 miles from the Plaza/downtown. It's a lovely place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

Great internet, cute place with everything you need (even things like creamer, tea and coffee, and fresh flowers as a courtesy :) :) The location made it easy to get around on buses, and was within walking distance of amazing food and breweries. Can't recommend enough!

Good location near the Railway Yard with galleries, cinema and restaurants. Santa Fe Plaza easy 10 minutes drive. All in all a wonderful place to explore Santa Fe from.

  • The space was perfect for our short stay in Santa Fe. It’s comfy, warm and much bigger than expected. It was very clean and cute. Great place!

    Austin2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Casita is a wonderful respite from sound, located in a very quiet neighborhood area just a 5 minute walk to a small park. The amenities were appreciated (shampoo, soap, small amounts of coffee, sugar, books, local magazines). We found it easy to navigate from the Casita to the downtown area, nearby grocery stores, and ski area. I highly recommend this space if you don't need a lot of room, want peace and quiet, enjoy simple pleasures, and lovely artwork.

    Sandy2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful spot! It was clean, decorated so beautiful with that Santa Fe charm, and was the perfect size for my husband and I. We loved how close it was to MeowWolf and the incredible Tune-up Cafe. They provided great amenities like coffee/emergencies, laundry capabilities, a book with great suggestions on what to do while in town and a comfy bed. Meet the host when we first got in and you can tell Javier really cares about the property and those staying! You will not be disappointed!

Before you book, consider the location of the listing!! This is an authentic adobe studio casita built in the 1940’s . We are close to the plaza, and just blocks from the Railyard Art District & farmers market, restaurants, movie theaters, WholeFoods, Trader Joe’s and Starbucks. 30 minutes to the ski basin. This comfortable casita has its own separate entrance and parking, and is very private. There is a new tempurpedic queen mattress, warm radiant heat, and a claw foot tub. We have WiFi too!
The guest is entitled to the entire casita, which has its own separate entrance.
The casita is very central to the downtown plaza area. It will really enhance your stay in SF when you can just walk to the best spots in town. We are just 2 blocks to many great restaurants as well as the Railyard District which hosts the farmers market on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Also, just blocks away is Starbucks, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s.
  • Elena's place is very nice and the location is good for exploring Santa Fe. We will return if available.

    Matthias2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • It's all about location when traveling. Elena's place was close enough to the action, dining- massage therapy. I parked my car, in a designated off street parking spot, and didn't use my car during my stay. Uber so ya dont have to deal with parking, 7 bucks. The place is very cool. Bed is comfortable. Radiant heat and Adobe walls kept me toasty when it was 15 degrees outside. Good for one or two light travelers.

  • The casita is a lovely space. Elena was very responsive and communicative, and check-in was easy and flexible. I was only there for one night but I would love to return and stay for a few days!

    Hannah2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The casita was very clean and quaint. Loved the location, easy access to downtown. Would definitely stay here again!

    Victoria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the casita was good: the place is cozy and in a good position (it is possible to go to the city center by walking!). There is everything you need and the house is warm enough for the winter period. Recommended!

    Sara2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Elena's place was just perfect for the two of us who were in Santa Fe for a quick overnight trip. We traveled from Albuquerque and took the train up - this spot is just a ten minute walk from where the train drops you off, which was perfect! The photos don't do this cute lil' historic adobe casita justice. The space is larger than it looks and the homey decor makes the spot feel cozy. When we travel to Santa Fe in the future, we'd love to stay here again.

    Shanna2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I LOVED this spot. Cozy while still being spacious, easy check in, great communication... and MOST comfortable bed we’ve experienced all road trip!—Dangerously so— we slept in an hour past alarms ;) Super close to old town and all amenities; highly recommend breakfast at Tune Up cafe. It was just a few minutes walk from casita.

Our home is a holy-haven for those who value meditation, mindfulness, eco-awareness, community living, and somewhat rustic conditions. Towards this goal, we ask that people who stay here are scent and chemical free; stay at least three nights; and are comfortable with our guidelines. There is access to a loft which has a futon mattress on the floor and space for mats; great for families, students, tribal folks. Extras: inspirational books, art supplies, omnidirectional hiking, and vast vistas.
The space we offer is a private bedroom with queen bed, desk, “coffee table”, chair, bedside table, shelf, an additional seat or surface for things; plus a loft which has a futon mattress on the wood floor, carpet, lots of space, and nice views. More chairs, mats and bedding are available for children or travel companions. The downstairs space has radiant floor heating, rough/cut wood ceilings, walls of beautiful mud-mica-straw plaster on “green” pumice blocks. The result is warm and earthy. Beyond the room (and loft), around the hallway, is the original bathroom with toilet and sink. That is only for airbnb guests, not for residents. Beyond the kitchen and great room is a newer bathroom, spacious and well lit. The shower there is both for airbnb guests as well as for one resident. There are grab bars near the toilet, shower area, and tiled sink. Parking is adjacent to the house. There are no streetlights, so star and moon clarity is ours to celebrate. The great room is available for spiritual practice, and the kitchen available from 7 AM to 7 PM. Pets are welcome (each one counts as a guest). We do offer Wi-Fi, though we unplug the modem when it is not being used (Airbnb guests are welcome to plug it in as needed). We also have a booster if the signal is not strong enough in airbnb space. We are a TV free zone, value hearing the close-by sounds of nature, and request any online live streaming be audible only within the airbnb private space. Thanks!
We live near the river/riverbed, off of on a quiet road, so walks are available night or day. We often hear coyote at night. There is a lovely park adjacent with play equipment for little people. At certain parts of the year, on certain days, there is a little preschool next-door, from which sounds of playing children can be heard. One neighbor have a dog who announces new arrivers. Her name is Lila snd she is easily befriended. When resident has a cat who is very agile and friendly. She loves to go up into the loft, but we prefer she not go up there.
  • Quiet. Tranquil. Nature. Serene. Off the beaten path, “Old Santa Fe” style and hospitality from an aware, gentle and kind host.

    Kat2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Rahmaneh's home is truly a meaningful experience. It's clean, comfortable and convenient for anyone passing through. The grounds have beautiful views and trails and goats. If you're looking for a mindful retreat, this is the perfect spot. Rahmaneh is kind and wise. I cannot think of a better host.

    Katherine2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rahmaneh space is a very special place with a very special woman. My boyfriend and I loved making hot tea that was provided in the morning and enjoying the sun come up on the loft upstairs. We truly enjoyed staying with Rahmaneh and talking to her.

    Stephanie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Eclectic vibe and warm yet down to earth. We were given a warm welcome and even a yoga class to relieve my back pain. Rahmaneh herself was thoughtful and kind, she gave us our space as if we were part of the family. My daughter enjoyed sleeping at the loft.

    Beverly2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks!

    Alex2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Rahmaneh was very calm, kind, and open. She was also a great communicator. The place was exactly as described and my stay definitely added to my Santa Fe experience. I also enjoyed the quiet solitude of being away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas and being out in the beauty of nature. I definitely left feeling more grounded and centered.

    Michael2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic time staying at Rahmenah's! I was cozy and comfortable in the space, despite frigid temps in Santa Fe (11 degrees!), and it was so quiet and calm on the property. Felt good to see stars at night. Made a lot of use of the electric kettle, there was a mini fridge in the room but i left this unplugged and just used the main fridge in the kitchen for a few provisions. Piping hot showers were heated by solar power, so I opted to shower in evenings to make sure I got the best temperature water. Rahmenah keeps an early schedule and asks guests to be mindful of noise in the evenings, and to practice recycling/compost with waste materials -- easy to do as all bins are labeled, and the AirBnB space has a private parking space and entry. Next time I'm in Santa Fe, I hope to stay here -- highly recommend!

    Elizabeth2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice off the beaten path, eclectic, mystical and harmonious place. My gentle host was very kind and warm. I highly recommend to others who hear their inner call to vist Rahmaneh!

This very sweet "Tiny House" located 1 1/4 miles from the historic Santa Fe Plaza and less than a miles walk to the beautiful Santa Fe Farmers market Railyard, restaurants, galleries, shopping, parks and many grocery shops. The guest house is in our back yard surrounded by gardens, a stream and Koi pond, organic veggies and a few chickens. There is an outdoor kitchen for your use. With and open concept, the guest house has a a full size bed with luxury linens, claw foot tub and mini fridge.
This charming guesthouse is actually a 200 square foot tiny home and it is my favorite part of our property. You enter through our side driveway, passing veggie gardens and grapevines (seasonal) and into the tranquil back yard where you'll find an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and a 4 burner stove top to that you are welcome to use as much as you like. We have a Koi pond, filling the property with the soothing sound of the waterfall to lull you to sleep. There is a pretty little dining area right in front of the guest house. When you enter into the cozy, private tiny home, the walls are finished with a wheat colored soft clay plaster flecked with mica. There is a deep clawfoot tub for soaking complete with a brass hand held shower head and bath tray to hold a good book and your favorite beverage, so come prepared for a little relaxation. There is a half wall separating the bedroom area from the bath space so the space has an open feeling. There is a mini fridge and microwave, as well as a coffee and tea set up. The bed is a full size, very comfortable, spring coiled futon (not like those old, lumpy dorm room futons) offering a great nights sleep with down pillows, down comforter and quality linens.
Our neighborhood offers great access to town. You can enjoy walk (3/4 ml.) to the beautifully abundant Santa Fe Farmers Market on Saturday and Tuesdays. It is located in the Railyard district witch has galleries, shops, fantastic restaurants, the rail runner commuter train and a lovely park. Don't forget to visit my husbands famed restaurant, The Cowgirl on Guadalupe street! Fun music and great food, it is always bustling with local life. We are a few minutes from the historic Santa Fe Plaza and down town witch also boasts of world class restaurants , galleries and museums such as the Georgia O'keef museum. We are also in close proximity to Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Albertsons, and La Montinita co-op for all your grocery needs.
  • Great space! Comfortable and clean. Simple and perfect for solo trips.

    Michelle2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • quite small, but perfect for one person. Location couldnt be more perfect. Lots of beautiful outdoor space. ( I was there in the winter so didnt make use of it) Lovely sweet decor, and wonderful bathtub.

    Juliana2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Heather's description of her tiny house and the property around it is really accurate. The house itself is beautifully and lovingly created. I loved staying here. I loved the warm walls, and the sound of the pond (and the doves in the morning). My partner made coffee on the outdoor stove every morning, which was so cool. A calm and nourishing space to come home to after walking around Santa Fe all day. I would happily stay again.

    Yvette2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks!

    Megan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Heather's place was the perfect stay for my husband and I. The location is central to everything in Santa fe. The amenities such as tea, coffee, snacks, and bath salts were a nice touch. Heather recommended great restaurants to eat at and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a small, affordable stay in Santa Fe.

    Jordan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Close to restaurants, comfortable space and many thoughtful touches. Perfect for the two nights we stayed!

    Paige2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Heather place is a small but really comfy place to stay. The bathtub is really pretty and you can feel warm and cozy on your staying. The place is really intimate, you are practically on the same room for shower, restroom and bed. One thing I don’t really like is the WiFi signal is weak because the router is on the house next to the room. Overall is a pretty small intimate place.

    Jesus2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is *tiny*-- I missed having some kind of little table to sit at-- but the bathtub more than makes up for it, and I loved being just down the block from the spiritual center where I was studying. Heather was very kind and it was easy to come and go from her place as necessary without too much attention. I also appreciated the availability of snacks, which got me out of a jam more than once!

  • Sarah’s place was so so great! It was the perfect spot for a quiet weekend getaway. Beautiful views, prime location, and lovely atmosphere. Would strongly recommend!

    Jessica2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's spot was great! Far enough away from the city center to provide a retreat-like atmosphere, close enough that it was easy to adventure during the day. Driving to and from was even enjoyable.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at El Burro! It was such a sweet escape from the chaos of daily life. Sarah was incredibly responsive from the time we booked our stay through the time we left. We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the space, the beautiful view, and the HEATED FLOORS!

    Kelsey2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay!

    Janet2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The guest house is amazing, and you couldn't ask for a better location. The views are spectacular. Also, the porch is quite large and fully enclosed.

    Joe2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah provided excellent directions so that we were able to find her place in the dark. The setting feels remote from town whilst still being easily accessible. We enjoyed the underfloor heating and cosy loft sleeping area, but be prepared for the climb! Space was clean and nicely decorated with plenty of literature on local places to visit.

    Liz2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • El Burro was the perfect launching point for all our Santa Fe adventures. The space was clean, and we were pleasantly surprised by the heated floors and kitchen amenities. Highly recommend!

My place is 1.2mi from the plaza in a convenient neighborhood just 0.5mi from the Railyard District & Farmer's Market. The studio has a private courtyard (through Turquoise gate) and a kitchen, small dining area, sleeping nook with murphy bed, and basic bathroom with shower. It is privately tucked into the back of our property, and attached to my home where I live with my partner, our son, and two fuzzy dogs!
With a beautiful courtyard that also is home to my attempt at vegetable gardening, you are welcome to sit outside at the table & chairs under the lilac & trees to have a glass of wine or a sunny morning coffee. Inside the studio is a sunny sitting area with a full couch & chair, as well as a dining table for two. The newly remodeled kitchen features handmade Italian tile, full size gas range, pots & pans, kitchen tools, & tableware. The half-size refrigerator should hold your leftovers or delicious finds from the Farmer's Market that is open Tuesday & Saturday and just 0.5mi away! Santa Fe enjoys an average of 320+ days of sunshine per year - and capturing the light & clean air is a big part of being here. The studio really takes advantage of that, all of the windows face private areas (except the window behind the bed) that cannot be seen by the neighbors or the street. So although we have curtains for your privacy - feel free to throw them open and let the outside in! The studio is tucked way back on the property, although it is attached to our house. The sleeping nook has a full size handmade murphy bed that easily stores away if you'd like the extra space. We've provided sheets, pillows, a down comforter, and plenty of extra blankets should you need them (Santa Fe can be very cold at night!). We have stocked the bookshelf with a strange selection of mostly fiction - help yourself to reading them, but please do leave them here - some of them are very special to us. Also, the book by Beverly Ungar was written by my mom - she loves a mystery! The bathroom is small, simple, and sunny. With a pedestal sink and new low-flow toilet, we've got fluffy towels ready! I feel that the shower is a bit basic, the fixtures are old and we hope to update it sometime soon. Please keep in mind that Santa Fe has some of the the lowest water consumption per person in the US, with our per person rates averaging 95 gallons per person per day, compared to the national average of 150! We therefore ask you to be mindful of your water use in our dry city. Also, you will be sharing the water heater with us, and we will try to restrict heavy use to nighttime. Finally, the property has three separate living spaces. In front is a gate to the guesthouse where our tenant has lived for many years, around the back of the guesthouse are two more gates, one leads to our house, and the last one is yours! Tucked privately in back, our sunny studio is a gem.
  • Very quiet and clean small kitchenette apt. with small courtyard just south of St. Francis Drive in SF. I am an active 62 year old and had no problems WALKING to town in under 15 min. plus there is a city bus stop nearby for peanuts to ride. All day pass for $1 ! Apartment size fridge , living room, bed area and bath w shower plus (my favorite) a small and eclectic library and radio for local info on dial. Very pleased and planning on return.

    John2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I had a good experience at this apt. I could walk to Plaza without any problem (15 min.) or just take the nearby bus for 50 cents (I'm 62) . Very quiet / clean with other very close apartments next door. The small kitchen/living room served me right as I cook. Local small grocery nearby plus the "Tune Up cafe" for mornings you would rather go for eggs. I particularly enjoyed the small library.

    John2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and well as super amazing hosts. They go above an beyond for their guest. I work in the hospitality industry and I could say this has been a great easy stay. Nice, cozy and clean. Most important to me and my husband is that they accept pets.

  • Liz’s place is located in a wonderful neighborhood walking distance from amazing museums, restaurants, and historic sites. The studio is super clean and cozy and we especially enjoyed cooking with the provided amenities. Liz is responsive and flexible and she made for an easy and relaxing trip to Santa Fe!

    Leah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is spacious and well appointed with very clear directions for getting in. I enjoyed having a table that could double for a light meal or for computer use. The neighborhood is fun and walkable. I found the fold down bed to be more comfortable than I expected for a no traditional bed. Luz is a thoughtful and available host. I’d recommend this apartment to others.

    Eric2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Liz' home is so cozy and convenient and absolutely wonderful for a couple visiting Santa Fe. Little touches made the evening extra special and even booking last minute on a Saturday afternoon for a stay that same night was quickly accommodated - highly recommended!

    Todd2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! The location was close to all the old town locations and on a quiet street. The private yard was perfect for our Golden Retriever. Liz’s restaurant recommendation were “right on” - Tune-Up Cafe and Cowgirl. And the bottle of wine when we arrived was a treat after a long ride.

Located in a quiet neighborhood in the heart of Santa Fe's charm. This private casita is great for 1-2 people and features a separate bedroom with one queen bed, a full kitchen, a covered front patio, parking, as well as a small back yard area.
This charming little casita is private with its own off street parking, plenty of morning light, beautiful neighborhood trees, classic Santa Fe style architecture, and offers guests peace and quiet after a day exploring.
Travelers can enjoy a walking/biking path that leads to many of Santa Fe's attractions within minutes such as the popular rail yard district, which hosts Santa Fe's local Farmers Market on Saturdays, Iconik Cafe, countless galleries, Jean Cocteau and Regal cinemas. Easy access to the business districts including great local breweries, cuisines including gluten-free, vegetarian, and Thai restaurants, a popular pizza place, and popular cafes: plenty to explore on the journey leading visitors to the striking destination of historic downtown Santa Fe.

  • Sarah's Casita is very comfortable, clean, easy to find, conveniently located in Santa Fe. I really enjoyed my two days there while visiting my daughter and her new baby. A great place for one or two people. I'll definitely look this place up next time I visit Santa Fe!

    Mary2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cold water is cold. The hot water is hot. The bed is super comfy. There were 4 pillows on the bed all a bit different to suit different preferences. (The pillows are usually an issue for me at hotels, but not here! :)) There was an extra comforter in the closet which I needed as it was in the teens/20s at night. There was also a mobile heater in the closet i did not use. For the most part it was very quiet except in the morning I could hear dogs barking. Nothing some earplugs couldn't remedy. All in all this was a great stay!!

This home is truly unique because it is one of the few properties that is so very close to Santa Fe Plaza (walking distance is .4 of a mile).

  • This casita is the very best Airbandb that I have experienced. It is so beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. There are plenty of towels, plenty of blankets, plenty of dishes and glasses, in fact plenty of EVERYTHING that you could possibly need. Obviously a lot of thought and care has gone into the furnishings, it’s very much in the style of traditional Santa Fe. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped. Breakfast is included, you’ll be amazed when you open the refrigerator and see what Bernadette has provided. It’s a great location, an easy walk from the Plaza. There’s even a dishwasher and washer/dryer. This has got to be the best bargain in Santa Fe!

We love the neighborhood. It is a mix of young families, millennials, artists, Santa Fe transplants and people who's families have called Santa Fe home for generations. Walk to restaurants and cafes. This location makes getting anywhere in Santa Fe easy.
  • We had a wonderful stay. This place is comfortable, super cute and in a great location.

  • Easy to find and a well maintained, stylish and well appointed apartment. The host stayed in contact frequently and checked in when we were running late. Would highly recommend.

  • A simple, cozy space situated perfectly for all your Santa Fe plans. Just enjoyed a lovely mid-winter stay with two friends. The co-op, top restaurants like Paper Dosa, the Plaza, Canyon Road, and hiking (Atalaya) are all within 5-10 minute drive. Dennis was a wonderful, accessible, and responsive host. Questions and requests were answered quickly by text. The kitchen and living spaces were excellent for cooking (Alison Roman recipes from NY Times), catching up (over whiskey), and dancing to Lizzo (we brought our own speaker). We were pleasantly surprised by the natural light in the afternoons.

    Lauren2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy place for 1 or2 in Santa Fe. Close to all things and easy driving around. Streets are dark but close to lots of things in SF.

    Gayle2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and stylish!!

    Kylie2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis and Inga's casita was perfect for our week-long stay in town. It was perfectly located to really great restaurants. I definitely recommend taking the quick walk to Tune Up Cafe for breakfast. We were minutes from the plaza and Meow Wolf. The casita was cozy and felt just like home. The heater in the larger of the two rooms does make quite a bit of noise so if you're a light sleep like me, definitely bring ear plugs or turn the heater off. We had the heater turned off after the first night and still slept comfortably as heat stays in the casita really well. We will definitely stay here again for our next visit!

  • great community!

    Shine2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • As it is very well known, hostels are communal spaces. Expect shared bathrooms, kitchen, and leisure spaces outside. However, as it is the nature in Santa Fe, everyone is so nice and welcoming and has their own travel stories to share. There was a mix crowd of races, ages, and backgrounds that was a pretty good reflection of the best of humanity. As a frequent traveler to Santa Fe, I was not able to stay with friends last minute but had always driven past the hostel. I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying again.

    Karen2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a slightly quirky old-time hostel (that is, a simple morning chore is required) with VAST quantities of leftover food (a great variety of groceries including baked goods) provided by Whole Foods (I believe).

  • Really great place to stay for those not needing something fancy. The shared spaces, especially the kitchen, were really nice to be able to use. My wife and I would certainly stay there again if ever in Santa Fe.

    Andrew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at Santa Fe's International Hostel. I was a solo traveler and I booked a private room (as opposed to the bunk rooms that they offer on their website, not on airbnb). It had a worn but totally fine double bed, desk, chest of drawers, two lamps, a rack with hangers, extra blankets, 3 pillows, outlets and an extension cord, a small separate room with a cold water sink with soap, and a toilet. Everything was as described and I enjoyed the shared kitchen with ample ingredients donated by Whole Foods. It was fun to talk to fellow travelers over morning coffee. The front desk was very friendly when I arrived, gave the the tour, and made sure I had all I needed. Later, Walker at the front desk so kindly helped me choose a place to go hear live music and drink a beer that evening (Cowgirl btw, was fun and chill). Parking in their lot was easy and a short drive to downtown. The room could get cold at night (I visited in February) but they provided multiple blankets (as well as sheets and a towel). I also had a blanket in my car so it worked out great. There is also a thermostat in the room but it is not super well insulated. I did small chores every morning and also cleaned my room upon departure. All in all it was a great deal, a fun and engaging experience, and lived up to my expectations. I felt safe and everyone was friendly. They are everything they say they are and it is definitely a fun stop and a good memory!

    Amber2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • They have free leftover food from Whole Foods, this was great.

    Chad2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • In my distant youth, I used hostels a lot when I travelled the world and was so happy (and pleased) to find the hostel spirit alive and well in Santa Fe. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food selection was organic, fresh and divine, and the facilities, though old and a bit funky, were quite comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again!

    Blake2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great hostel, make sure that you read the rules before you book! Yes, you will need to clean, but the trade-off is that is that the kitchen is overflowing with free food from whole foods so you probably won’t need to buy food while you stay. The staff are great and the vibe as well.

    Naomi2019-12-04T00:00:00Z

This lovely little studio has privacy, comfort, and a great location in the historic South Capital neighborhood. It is easy walking distance to the Railyard District, the Plaza, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, and many restaurants are within a few blocks. You’ll love the peaceful ambiance. Good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
This peaceful and serene refuge, with it's unique Santa Fe style, will charm you and relax you. It is my pleasure to provide you with a coffee maker, organic decaf and regular coffee, an assortment of teas, and sugar. We are LGBTQ friendly and welcome people of all cultures and persuasions. The studio (14’ X 12’ plus bathroom) has a comfy double bed, mini-kitchen in one corner (kitchen sink, below counter fridge, toaster oven, two burner hotplate, and small cabinet with dishes), and a dinner table/desk looking out into the garden. The bathroom includes a shower (no tub) and a washing machine (no dryer). Outdoor amenities include a beautiful yard furnished with umbrella-covered table-and-chairs on a patio next to a lovely pond with a water fall. Please note, there is no television. The studio is situated on a spacious lot, which is shared with other guests, and my home. The yard is lush in the spring, summer, and fall, with fruit trees and flowers. Winters can be cold and snowy between November and March, but maybe not.
The South Capital neighborhood (between Don Diego and Old Santa Fe Trail, and Paseo de Peralta and Cordova Road) is a lovely neighborhood of homes with gardens and staggered streets to keep the traffic down - perfect for quiet neighborhood walks.
  • This place is an excellent location, around the corner from Whole Foods and a short walk to downtown area. Small simple place but with everything I needed. Very clean and very quiet. Lovely view into a pretty backyard area with a small pool and fountain. Easy access and easy parking. Catherine was very attentive and responsive. All in all a most excellent accommodation!

Delightful room in Adobe home 5 min by car from the Plaza and the Opera. Brick floors, high wood ceilings, light filled, use of the kitchen and 2 patios, shared bath with one other room, off street parking. House in pine covered foothills, 30 min to ski area. Sorry, we don't accept pets.
  • Super cozy and tucked away from the noise. Close enough to town for whatever you need in Santa Fe. Susan and Steve made great suggestions for in-town dining and nearby hiking. We enjoyed coffee and talking this morning and a lovely pellet stove last night. Great hosts, wonderful space, a pleasure to have met them.

  • Beautiful place to stay!

    Dale2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time staying with Susan. There a two guest bedrooms and one shared bathroom, all cozy and clean. I loved the plant filled hallway and coffee in the morning. Her home is surrounded by pines and feels very quiet and remote, despite being minuets from downtown Santa Fe. Susan is very knowledgeable about places to to eat and things to do in the local area, we hope to visit again soon !

  • Susan and Steve were such a treat! Breathtaking home (the entire place is decorated w/ artifacts from their travels), outstanding recommends (sent us on a lovely hike and to quite possibly the best African + Indian meals I’ve ever had), and superb hospitality (they even let us use their honey for our morning coffees :’)). Will be back!!

    Erica2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and Steve were such friendly hosts and their house felt like home away from home. The space was super clean, they gave me lots of local tips as well. Loved the adobe style house and every detail is very well thought of. I highly recommend staying there if you’re ever in Santa Fe. I also like that it’s up in a hill but close enough to go to the Plaza by car.

    Natalia2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's house is an ideal place to stay while touring in the Santa Fe area. It's located on the north side of the city and provides easy access to attractions such as Chimayo, Ghost Ranch, and Bandelier National Monument. The space is beautifully decorated and cozy. I'd love to stay there again if I get back to Santa Fe.

    Lori2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and Steve's place is a work of art, we absolutely loved their house. It is such a beautiful and welcoming home with lots of natural light. They are great hosts and gave us great local recommendations for sightseeing and good food! We will definitely stay with them next time we are in Santa Fe.

My house is centrally located near major attractions such as the historic downtown Plaza, Canyon Road galleries, and the Railyard. This is a shared living space with 3 bedrooms. Its very peaceful with the opportunity to meet fellow travelers..or not! You are booking the Spring Flower room. The windows offer bright natural light for the space. The room has a private bathroom and includes a comfortable queen size bed, soft sheets, a workspace, and everything you need for a peaceful night’s rest.
I have an original adobe home with beautiful brick flooring and a Spanish tiled kitchen. My cozy home offers you a place to recharge after a day of hiking or sightseeing. We are 1.3 miles from the Convention and Visitors Center on Marcy street, and 1 mile from the Farmer's Market and Art Market in the Railyard area (Tuesday, Saturday, & Sunday). Large house in very quiet rural setting, 6 mins from Santa Fe City center. Very amenable and easy-going household, come and go as you please. IF YOU NEED TO BOOK FOR MORE THAN TWO GUESTS OR IF THE TWO PREFER TO SLEEP SEPARATE, PLEASE CHECK FIRST WITH HOST TO SEE IF THERE IS UN-BOOKED SPACE.
Well, it's kind of unique! We have one acre in a rural setting, ultra quiet and safe, yet nothing is more than 12 minutes away by car.
Extremely quiet, safe and friendly. Rural setting.
  • Very nice home and amazing host although we stayed for one night it was amazing!

    Johnathan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • An expansive bedroom with nice big windows, tucked away, private, warm, comfortable, cozy, clean, quiet - I could go on and on. Christopher is a helpful host, an artist of wood, and quite funny. The house is spectacular, totally Santa Fe plus international flavor.

    Molly2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher was very nice and had awesome hospitality. I enjoyed my stay.

    Jesus2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher's creativity, craftsmanship and good humor abound. His house is comfortable, clean and welcoming. Co-hostess Erika is thoughtful, kind and makes the place shine. They are both a delight to interact with and I always look forward to my monthly visit. Truly a "home away from home" experience and highly recommended.

    Valentina2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a fantastic place to stay from beginning to end! The location is close to town yet feels like you're far away, the house is truly a home and you immediately feel like you just want to move in, and the hospitality of the hosts is truly special!

    Amy2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Expect the unexpected! Exceptional value for money with coffee ready at 7 am and a truly artistic home opened to travelers off the beaten track but with high standards. Can't recommend it enough...

  • Christopher is an excellent host. His home is convenient to downtown and yet has a rural atmosphere. He offers a variety of rooms from a double bed room with private bath and TV, to a small room for 1 person with a shared bath. Christopher's place is my go-to home in Santa Fe since 2015 when I first stayed with Christopher.

    Allen2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, easy to get to, plenty of parking. Christopher is extremely welcoming, would definitely stay again.

    Daniel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • As someone who loves visual culture, I fell in love with Christopher's little Chapel Room, which he built specifically to accommodate a splendid carved Indonesian door he'd acquired. Walking through that doorway truly feels like you are entering a magic portal! Christopher provided all the amenities I needed, and I was grateful he was able to accommodate me at the last minute. I recommend.

    Diana2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most delightful 12-hour stays I'll ever have. Christopher is a wonderful host. The experience -- from his morning piano recital to his witty and hilarious real-life anecdotes--is one-of-a-kind. *This* is why we travel. If you pass up the opportunity to stay here, go ahead and start kicking yourself right now!

    Patrick2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay with Christopher. He has a beautiful house in a great location and everything was very clean and well kept. I would recommend staying here!
