I highly recommend staying at the Spectacular Loft with Mountain View. The space is absolutely beautiful and the views are stunning. The hosts Larry and Yvonne are wonderful friendly people who went out of their way to make us feel at home. They made several spot on recommendations for local restaurants, and hiking trails. The loft itself was very clean, super cozy, and full of natural lighting. The windows allow for wonderful views of their beautifully maintained garden, yard, and of Mount Adams; an incredible sight to behold! If you are looking for a great hiking in the Presidential range of the White Mountains, and a fantastic place to stay, look no further than the Spectacular Loft.

We had such an amazing experience at Larry's and Yvonne's place! The Loft is just as described, clean, cosy and very comfortable, and located perfectly for some hiking. Larry and Yvonne are just the greatest hosts. They were so welcoming and Larry is very knowledgable about the environment/different hiking trails. Alltogether with the extraordinary view, I can only say I would definitely recommend this place!

Photos and descriptions of Larrys and Yvonnes cant do it Justice. This place is SO beautiful and tranquil, the town center is adorable and food everywhere seems so good. Their plot of land is done up like a little piece of paradise, great for ending a long hiking day ( or never leaving) we cant wait to go back :)

There was nothing lacking in this place: exquisite beauty out every window, pure relaxation, and utterly charming and hospitable hosts. This was a fantastic place to stay, and we will surely go back sometime, hopefully sooner than later.

Lovely place, a newly-renovated large studio apartment above Larry's shop. Functional kitchen, nice seating, well-done in general. The property includes their house (joined by a deck), a cottage, and a little farm. They were very welcoming, and invited us to use their grill and even pick some zucchini! It is fairly far off the beaten path, which is likely a good thing. Good access to hiking to the northern Presidentials (Adams, Madison, Jefferson), and with a town not too far away. The only downside was that we were asked to pay a cleaning fee ($50) and NH tax (10%) of our rental upon arrival, which was not included in the airbnb fee or quote. I believe they are working on incorporating that, but it was an unwelcome surprise nonetheless.

The stay at Larry and Yvonne's was exceptional! I was a little worried that 'loft' meant open to the workshop below but was pleasantly surprised by a private upstairs apartment that was adequately stocked and comfortably decorated. The highlight is the garden (I was hooked when I saw the chairs facing the mountain) and the view. The hosts are wonderfully hospitable, full of helpful information but not Intrusive. If we happen back through NH again, this is a must stay. And the dog, Opal, was a bonus.

As part of our road-trip around New England, we were lucky enough to spend a few days at Larry and Yvonne's beautiful property, amongst the NH hills. The loft itself was exactly as described with all amenities needed for a short break - the photos are accurate and the view from the living window was great, especially first thing in the morning. Larry met us on arrival and was great with suggestions and ideas on what to do and where to visit nearby - we even got to say hi to the miniature donkeys! A great stay, and would recommend to anyone who plans on visiting the area :)

What a beautiful place! And what a lovely People. Yvonne and Larry were really helpfull. I've even borrowed Larry's shoes to hike. The house is great, very convenient and clean in an amazing surrounding. You can hike and cycle and I've used the great oven to bake. Really recommendable.

Brian and Christina's Bungalow in Gorham was a fantastic place to stay when I was in the area for work last week and wanted something a bit more like home than a hotel would be. It was less expensive than most hotels in the area, too, and would make a great future location when colleagues or I need to travel back to the area. The decor is so well done and the layout is great. The furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and it is definitely a rental I would return to either during a work trip or weekend away with my husband.

Brian & Christina's bungalow was perfect for our quick getaway up to the White Mountains over the holiday weekend. It's adorably decorated, clean, cozy and very quiet. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need and the game room was very cool! We will definitely be back!!

What an incredible place! We loved everything about The Bungalow. We stayed the night AFTER climbing Mt. Washington, but if we had stayed the night before as well we could have summited even earlier. It was so convenient, only 20min drive from Pinkham's Notch and just down the road from the stores and restaurants in downtown Gorham. We like that the Bungalow was located just off the main road but was situated in a quiet, beautiful wooded area with surrounding houses. In the evening we ate at SAaLt Pub as per Brian and Christine's suggestion and we would definitely recommend it! The Bungalow decor was especially amazing and you could see the love, care, and history that went into putting every inch of the house together! Everything was spotless and so well thought out. Would absolutely come again for the next time we climb!

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Very close to Mt. Washington trails, comfortable clean space and close to Gorham to grab a nice dinner. There was also nice amenities including emergency toiletries which was great because we forgot shampoo and conditioner! Would highly recccomend!!!

I stayed with my boyfriend for four nights at this Air BnB and we loved our time there! The place is very spacious, comfortable, and private, and had everything we needed to have a relaxing time in the mountains. Jeff was an excellent host. There was lots of outdoor adventures to do nearby (such as hiking), but not a lot of great restaurants. Luckily, there is a full kitchen, so we cooked for the majority of the trip and really enjoyed spending time in the loft. We hope to come back again!

This loft is amazing. Clean, secluded, equipped. Everything you'd need if you're a skier or hiker. I will absolutely be staying here again.

We had a delightful stay in Jeffs cozy loft. The loft far exceeded our expectations; very clean, comfortable temperature settings, thougtful use of space, and an extremely cofrotable bed. It is also located in the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts whether it be skiing or hiking adventure is close by. Communication with Jeff was easy and effortless. He was thorough and very prompt to respond to our requests. We will frequent visitors to the Loft!

Our apartment was beautiful. All new very comfortable furniture. Detail for comfort, nice soft towels, bathrobes and slippers were provided plus water and complimentary coffee for keurig. Kate and her family were very nice. Right in the middle of town which was great. There was an ice cream store right next door. A flat screen tv and wifi. A nice front porch to sit on. We had a great time.

Kate and Al were wonderful hosts. Arriving and getting into our suite was a seamless transition. Not only did we get what we expected, but they also provided the small things such as towels, soap, shampoo, etc. We were also provided with pamphlets about attractions in the town and places to eat. Though the pamphlets were useful Kate and Al directed us to other venues not listed that were fantastic. The town itself is a small place but it comes with everything one needs. The first night we ate at the Salt Pub and the food was amazing! Oh, and white water rafting is also a must!

A great stay. Everything is clean and tidy and the place even has a nice kitchen. They were great about communication and made sure we always had everything we needed plus gave us some local knowledge. I'd definitely come back here.

What can I say except our stay at Annie's apartment was fabulous! She made the time to greet us and show us all of the amenities of the space. Her place is newly renovated and is a mix of old and new hip furnishings. The bed linens are to die for and the bath towels were top notch. She really has thought of everything you could want when traveling on the East Coast. The fridge was stocked with fresh brown eggs, milk, butter and cream. To top that off, she surprised us with fresh baked scones in the am. It is located in the small town of Gorham, and is close to great eateries and antique shops. I would highly recommend staying in the Chic New England Apt.!

Annie went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. This is a truly a great value with a wonderful host, I am very excited to return in the near future. I would not have changed a single thing during my stay, perfection! The pictures do not do this place justice, she has a wonderful eye for design and her hard work shines through.

Annie's apartment is delightful - beautifully decorated with many quirky individual touches. It is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Annie made us very welcome and had stocked the fridge with milk, butter, eggs and cream for our arrival. The tea and biscuits were much appreciated too. The apartment is the perfect place to make yourself at home after a day out walking (the Appalachian Trail is near by) with two large relaxing sofas. The beds were comfortable and piled high with luxurious white bed linen. There is a great pub/restaurant a few minutes walk away which serves excellent food and some interesting beers. From my first enquiry Annie replied promptly and was friendly and helpful (offering directions and leaf peeping updates) and giving us advice on the local area while we were there. We couldn't have asked for more and would love to come back one day. Thank you Annie!

Annie was a great hostess, taking care to accomodate to our needs and gave us many great recommendations on things to do in the area. She always responded to questions promptly and was very helpful throughout our stay. In terms of the house itself, it is very homey and beautiful with a slightly quirky, quaint type of style. The Raven's Nest is a unique, quiet and comfortable way to enjoy Gorham, NH. Having grown up there and now visiting several times a year in the last 15 years, it has always been challenging feeling like little more than a tourist. Annie's accommodations made us feel as though we had come home again after so many years staying at the local Hotels/Motels. Coupled with her genuine hospitality, made for a wonderful stay in a beautiful setting.

Mark and Kim put us up last minute when we bolted up from Boston to catch a late winter storm. The place was spacious with many beds and kitchen to cook meals. Hot tub and massage chair were nice touches and took a little edge off after a day on the slopes.

Absolutely perfect place for a weekend away hiking or skiing. The place is huge, and has all the amenities you need after an active day--a brand new hot tub and massage chair as well as a huge TV. The hosts could not be nicer and more accommodating. We absolutely are planning to come back again sometime soon!

Out of all of the airbnbs I've stayed at, Mark and Kim proved the kindest and most welcoming hosts. They genuinely did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible, including baking fresh cookies, providing extra heaters, and showing us how to use their hot tub.

Mark and Kim were very helpful and responsive. Kim makes the best banana bread I've ever had. There was a lot of space for many folks to stay and it was a perfect spot to get skiing from. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking some delicious feasts.

Larry and Yvonne were the kindest and most welcoming hosts. The cabin was beautifully appointed, incredibly clean, and comfortable. Larry built the cabin and every square inch is used so efficiently and the decor that Yvonne designed is so classy and warm to come home to! We loved touring their property and hearing all about the life they've built in Randolph. Larry was incredibly knowledgeable about the trails and I was thrilled that there were so many in the neighborhood. We saw some truly great sights and thoroughly exhausted our dogs! I loved the neighborhood and we had a great time walking our dogs in the evening, meeting some neighbors, and hearing owl calls. Opal, the resident dog, even joined us on our walk one evening. Hope we can return soon!!!

We had a fantastic time at Doug's place. Doug was the perfect host - he showed us some beautiful local hikes and told us a little about the history of Randolph. The view of Mount Madison from the front porch is beautiful. The house had real character and everything we needed - books, a well equipped kitchen, hot showers and comfortable beds.

We stayed at Doug's charming rustic home and loved it. The home was spacious and comfortable and Doug was helpful and kind. We had an amazing view from the front porch and watched the sun come up on the Presidential mountains while we had our morning coffee. We had a great experience and hope to come back soon.

Myself and two friends had a very pleasant stay at Doug's place. The accommodations were as described and everything we needed for a great stay was provided. It was particularly enjoyable sitting on the indoor porch looking out over the mountains. Prime location for hiking in the northern presidentials. Doug was a great host, meeting us on arrival and showing us around to ensure we were settled in. He also checked in with us to see how our days hiking went and told us about a very nice short walk close to the house. I'd definitely recommend the place!

This house is rustic like your grandparents' summer cabin but with electricity. I loved it. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot and strong, the kitchen complete, the internet connection strong, and the view of the Presidential Range from the glider on the screened front porch is great. There truly are beautiful trails starting right at the front door, into the woods surrounding the house, up the hills and along the stream running nearby. Doug was helpful, available, and kind.

Doug's cabin is perfect. It has old time charm and all the modern amenities. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The views of Mount Madison and Adams from the porch can't be beat! There were many hiking maps of the area and we enjoyed the RMC trails right out the back door. Mossy Glen Falls is so lovely we visited three times in our one day stay! Thank you Doug.

We were a group of 4 staying 2 nights at Doug's place. We had an amazing time there, very charming cottage with all the commodities you would expect at home! Doug was very kind and helpful, and we will definitely come back for more hiking in the White Mountains

After a 7 hour drive it was very pleasant to step into the apartment filled with freshness of the mountain air. Another pleasant touch were the fresh flowers on the dining table. The keypad on the door is awesome! Our group had to split up and it was a super convenience not to have to juggle keys. It is very spacious and with 7 people we felt very comfortable and not on each others toes. The location is perfect, there is a gas station across the street for anything you forgot to pack. It's very close to several trail heads, if you're hiking the Presidential. Also if you hike and want to wash your clothes, there is even a washer and a dryer!

This place is amazing to stay for a weekend to enjoy life! It is very close to some ski resorts and to the hiking spots! We've visited it to hike Mt.Washington and it was great! Big common room, nice kitchen, porch and BBQ!!!

This is the second time we come back here, and we liked it a lot! The staff of the ATV rental (just below the apartment) was very nice with us. We felt like at home! It is very close to the trailhead of Mt. Adams, and just 20 minutes away from Mt. Washington. The only drawbak, which is uncontrollable, is the train that passes very near during the night, but when you're sleeping, you don't hear it! (but if you don't sleep like me because you're too excited by your ascent of Mt Adams the next day, you do hear it...)

We had an amazing time! House was perfect for our group of family and friends. Owners were extremely responsive, knowledgeable about the area, and helpful - we felt very welcome in their home!

We ended up staying in another location that the host had in Whitefield/Dalton because Missy said that was better equipped for cooking. If you are looking for a secluded, comfy retreat in the mountains -- the Whitefield house is perfect. There are several outdoor seating areas and TWO porches, we watched the stars every night -- which was a true treat for us since we're NYers and can't see them in the pollution! We were looking for a place for our "mini-moon" and this definitely fit our needs. Three bedrooms, all have queen-sized beds ... two bathrooms, laundry downstairs, porches, living room, ample kitchen. Beautiful house, and close enough to the hiking we wanted to do (Mount Adams is ~40 minutes and Jefferson ~45) Would definitely recommend, we were a couple but would be perfect to come in a group given the number of rooms and outdoor seating areas.

This house worked great for us on vacation. We needed four beds and internet access, which can be hard to find in Coos county. Made meals in the kitchen and on the grill. Heard a moose calling one night, and saw a bear with three cubs on the way back to the house another night.

Here is my review of the house in Gorham: The house was as described. The homeowner had baby furniture, which was very helpful. There were plenty of sheets but all the beds were very uncomfortable. Some windows did not have screens (especially in the living room, which did not allow for cross circulation. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. There was food in both the freezer & frig. No cereal bowls Blankets should have been refreshed as they had an odor Not enough bath towels, only 1 or 2 faceclothes, no dish towels, no hand towels, no dish strainer Water pressure very low in showers Basement screen door inoperable Beautiful location

Nous avons été impressionné par l'endroit, c'était vraiment de toute beauté! Le chalet est situé en face de hautes montagnes et l'automne les couleurs sont magnifiques. En plus, nous étions pas très loin du mont Washington. Le chalet est vraiment bien. Il pourrait accueillir 8 personnes. Les lits sont très confortables. Il y a un poêle au propane qui réchauffe rapidement l'endroit. Il y aurait quelques points à améliorer par contre. Il manque quelques équipements de cuisine comme des coupes à vin, une rape à fromage, des sacs pour la poubelle, des naperons ( il y en a seulement 4 pour un chalet qui peut accueillir 6 personnes). La table est beaucoup trop petite. Il n'y avait pas de mouchoirs et pas assez de papier de toilette. Aussi, nous avons trouvé que les frais de ménage demandé de 335$ était exagéré. Mais à part cela, nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans les White Mountains!

While Carol couldn't be present during my stay she was still a great host. She kept in touch RE check in instructions, made me feel welcome to the area by providing a welcome note, clean bedsheets and towels as well as allowing me to use her DVD collection to watch a couple movies. She also left me a few menus to some good food in the area and clear check out instructions for when I left.

The listing was accurate, the host was very proactive in making sure I was comfortable, and the accommodations were perfect. Highly recommend.

Carol was great with communication. I asked if we could arrive early to drop off our stuff, no problem. We had 7 people it was perfect size and worked great for us. Great poarch on the front and the back of the house to just hang out in the mournings or evenings. Had fresh towels and beds ready to go with easy departing instructions. I would definitely stay again. Better than a hotel!

What a wonderful experience! Everything was PERFECT! Laurie was so helpful and pleasant to deal with. She contacted us beforehand to make sure all of our questions were answered. She gave great directions and contacted us a couple of days in advance again to make sure we were coming and resent directions and asked if there was anything else we needed. In response to our request, she gave plenty of suggestions of what to do in the area as well. The house was exactly as described. It was immaculate! Plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was great, and we ate all our meals there. Having a washer and dryer was an added plus. All the info available for things to do in the area was so helpful! If we ever come back that way, we will definitely stay there if it is available. Thanks for a wonderful Airbnb experience!

Laurie was fantastic! I can't say enough good things about her. The place was clean, exactly as described, and very charming. She was great at communicating over email, made herself available if we needed, but was not at all overbearing (we actually never physically saw her the whole weekend). We recently enjoyed a 4 night stay at Laurie and Dave's cozy cottage. I grew up in the area and now love to visit the White Mtn region with my husband and two young sons. Communicating with Laurie before our stay was very quick and easy. The listing of the cottage is very accurate. The house was clean and well maintained. Our boys enjoyed a fire in the fire pit in the back yard as well as roasting marshmallows. There is a well-maintained field across the street that is part of the property that the boys used to play soccer. The foosball table was a hit! There is also a small designated playroom with a wall chalkboard, kids size table, megabloks, and many other toy/game options. The cottage is located on a very quiet road with minimal traffic. The nights are quiet and dark (no street lamps). Check-in and check-out process was easy and is done at the owner's campground office located a few miles down the street. The layout of the house took some getting used to as there is a 1/2 step between most rooms that caused a few stumbles the 1st few days. This cottage was a terrific option for us to use as a "home base"--it was wonderful to come home to a quiet space after a day of exploring the local attractions (hiking, Santa's Village, Lost River). The cottage is equipped with wi-fi which definitely came in handy as our cell coverage was not reliable (not many cell towers in the north country!) The owners also welcomed us to use any of the amenities of their campground down the street (the pool listed in the description is a heated outdoor pool at the campground). Unfortunately we ran out of time to take advantage of the pool--the boys have already asked us when we are coming back and if we can stay longer next time! If you're searching for the perfect base-camp for a White Mountains getaway, look no further. The house is perfectly positioned with a short drive away from major trail heads to climb some 4000 footers. It has plenty of space and many games to keep you occupied after a day of hiking. We were particularly fond of the darts-board and the foosball table. The night sky in the neighborhood should also be noted. There is no light pollution, so if you want to spend a romantic evening stargazing, this is the place! Laurie was great, she has all the local secrets, so don't be shy to ask.

We had a great stay at the Cozy Cottage! Laurie was awesome and made check in and check out super easy. The house is very cute and a great home base especially for families with little kids. The play room was perfect- filled with games and toys for all ages. House is on a nice quiet street surrounded by the woods- absolutely beautiful in fall!
