Jamie is an excellent host, and if I could give more stars, I would. It was a great pleasure to meet him. The house corresponds exactly to the photos, including a lovely swimming pool which is perfect for a little swim. The bed, pillows, and sheets are luxiourous. There is a wide screen TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime in the cozy media room. I highly recommend Jamie's Air bnb for anyone staying in Colonial Beach.

Kathy’s house is tucked away in a cute neighborhood and had all the comforts of home! The room had a spacious closet, a comfy bed and natural light. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was great. Her Keurig machine provided the prefect pick me before I hit the road on my way out. Her dog Maggie is the sweetest so if you’re missing your own fur babies when you’re traveling, this is the perfect place to stay! Would definitely recommend Kathy’s place!

Stupid Covid 19 short-circuited my plans so I never actually stayed. But Kathy was very helpful and gracious as I was processing everything. Great lady!

Morgans' place is clean, well furnished. In a great spot. If you are there for work it is conveniently located on the main road, but very little road noise. Very close to NAVAIR gate 1 & 2 and close to all the defense companies around Lexington Park & California MD. Good parking. Very well provisioned, clean nice, apartment. Definitely well worth the price. To top it off Morgan is very hospitable and easy-going person to deal with.

Couldn't be better. Beautiful and impeccably appointed apartment that manages to be airy, cozy and luxurious all at once. Then there's the location and view-- right on the water, with an amazing dock to hang out on. And last but certainly not least are the thoughtful touches-- a fridge with breakfast items, fresh cookies, and even a home cooked dinner. Absolute perfection

Second weekend in a row staying here. Was supposed to have a work event nearby, but it was cancelled. I liked the spot so much, I came anyway and called it a vacation. Theresa and her family are very welcoming, and the place is beautiful and super-relaxing. Highly recommended.

Fantastic. Clean and quiet, great shower, view is amazing, the hospitality was over the top! Theresa and Kevin have thought of everything you might possibly need to have a comfortable stay (some of my favorites were heated bathroom floor, yoga mat, magazines, and lighted makeup mirror). Back next week again for work, and I can't wait.

Amazing condo for a great price. Pictures don’t do it justice, everything is new, modern, and sparkling clean. The water is viewable from the living room and the dock allows for a great view of the sunset. Theresa was a great host and provided everything you will need and more. Highly recommend visiting!

This apartment is incredibly clean, lovely, and hospitable. Kevin and Teresa add small touches that make a big impact. We were greeted with a handwritten sign and fresh cookies. All instructions were clear and there were helpful resources for surrounding attractions. Don't hesitate to book, this place is a gem!

We had a wonderful time in Colonial Beach! We went antiquing, had a lovely time tasting the wines at the Ingleside Winery, and had a delicious brunch at the Dockside Restaurant and Tiki Bar. We're really into nature so we walked around the grounds of the birthplace of George Washington and went birding in Westmoreland State Park. I'm really glad Sherry had a full kitchen so we could cook there often and make the trip affordable.

Sherry’s place was great! It was the perfect spot for a weekend couples getaway. Not far from all of the local establishments.

Sherry was the perfect host. Her cozy cottage was very comfortable and with unseasonably warm weather, we loved exploring Colonial Beach. Be sure to visit Denson’s for dinner and Julie’s Coffee Shop for outstanding food and hospitality.

Incredibly clean space with a super accommodating host who’s quick to help and respond to any questions, stayed here with my girlfriend to visit family for two weeks and we couldn’t be happier!

Place is super clean, and it has everything which is needed. Alex family were very helpful in explaining us on every detail of the house. We would definitely recommend this place.

Alexander's RV was simply delightful. It is clean, spacious, cheerful, stocked with every amenity imaginable, and was the perfect place to hop off the road after a day of traveling. Alexander was a gracious host, going out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed, and providing recommendations as necessary for nearby businesses. The RV is remarkably comfortable inside, with heat that kept it toasty even though outdoor temperatures were in the 30s. The bed was quite comfortable, and there was even enough hot water for a full-length shower in the morning (if you've ever spent time in an RV, you know how unusual this is!). This is a great value and I would stay here again anytime if I should be back in the area.

The location is great with a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, Caledon State Park is close by, and Frederickburg is just a half-hour away. YOLO cottage was so much more then we expected. We wanted a weekend to get away from times not so good at home and Debby provided that with her awesome cottage. She fitted us in right from the beginning.....which was amazing and much needed. Check in was so easy and simple. Her communication on minor items was quick . The cottage itself was cozy, bright, upscale in a cottage feeling. She left the charm of the vintage cottage with marvelous upgrades that made you feel as if you were at the Ritz often. We will definitely be back and recommend to all....

A dream cottage! Everything exceeded expectations!

We had a great time at Debby's beach house! It is a perfect place to stay with a dog, with a securely fenced yard and an extremely dog friendly space inside. Our dog had a blast playing in the yard and walking along the bay! There are plenty of amenities for the humans as well - the space is very comfortable and clean and had all the necessities. Check in was very easy and Debby responded to all queries within minutes. The area is beautiful, and if we were to come back we would definitely stay with Debby again.

Immaculate, huge space and close to downtown Fredericksburg! Stefan and his wife are great hosts and they provided us with fresh rolls, milk and coffee creamer upon arrival. The check in is seamless and the separate entrance provides privacy and a feeling of being in a stand alone house. The decor isn’t over done, it’s just right and we felt very much at home the entire time. All in all a great air BNB experience and we would definitely return here if in the area again. Bonus—Stefan is a pretty cool guy from Germany where we are from:)

Stefan is a wonderful host and his place is beautiful . He responds back quickly to any questions you may have. Stefan’s place is very spacious, clean and all the amenities of home you need. The hosts are very kind and accommodating. The space is extremely clean and there are extra sheets, a mini refrigerator, and a microwave available for use. Definitely feels like an apartment and very spacious. We spent over a month here and it was very comfortable.

If you’re looking for a large space to fit several people, this is a great option! The space was clean and they had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, from extra blankets to PAM cooking spray. They even had little shampoo bottles! We will definitely be back.

Great little place for getting away from the city! Nice trails to walk around, excellent hosts and hospitality.

Paula & Patrick we’re perfect hosts. The cottage was very open and spacious yet intimate and cute. We brought our 3 dogs and a crate as one of our dogs is a puppy still even at 65lbs. The size of the crate didn’t even disrupt the flow of the cottage. All things were thought of at the cottage, bedding to kitchen utensils were good quality, clean and well maintained. I loved snuggling under the quilts on the bed for an afternoon nap. Let’s talk about the property and how spacious and quiet it is. Trails to walk, plenty of room to play ball with our poochers and enjoy some conversation with both Paula and Patrick. The weekend was amazing as I was visited by a sister I never knew existed and she didn’t know I existed either. Paula was so gracious letting us invite my sister and her family over for breakfast and gave us plenty of extra time at the cottage so as not to feel rushed or pushed out when we left on Sunday at check out. This property is a hidden gem and I suspect in the summer between the acres of property, quietness and your loved one by your side you really might have something special to experience if you stayed here.

Diana and Bruce’s space was very nice, clean and they were immediately responsive whenever we had any questions during our stay. We enjoyed our stay very much! :)

Really great place to stay. Sad I couldn't stay longer. It really was a mini apartment. The host was delightful when we first met her and despite having a large pup, you never heard her. We wouldn't have known if she didn't tell us. The family was nice as well. Overall great experience!

I stayed in bedroom #4 for 3 nights. I was very pleased with the amount of space and ample windows that provided beautiful views. The attention to detail in this bedroom and the common use areas is apparent that the host knows what an Airbnb experience should be for guests. House and the setting are beautiful! Pictures are accurate. Host was always great with communications as well. I will stay here again in the future!

Zsuzanna is very nice and helpful. The room in the basement is very spacious and everywhere is clean and tidy. There are a lot of animals around the house which are fun to watch them. The location is good, just 10 min walk to Walmart. My mom stayed here for a month and enjoyed her time, we really appreciate Zsuzsanna's help during this time.

To say Cheryl and her family were amazing is an understatement. She gave us immediate reprieve from 95, allowed us to cook, poured us homemade wine, and ensured our comfort and safety every step of the way. I couldn’t recommend staying with her highly enough. A++++

Wonderful southern bell 🛎, Cheryl’s farm has every thing on the profile and more. Slightly off the highway and honestly one of the most comfortable best nights sleep I've had on the road in a long time !!

Ms. Cheryl was flexible withcheck in/out time, awesome accommodation. That really helped me. I appreciate it. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I was totally rested and ready to go right back to my 2nd day of work. So a good morning rest was 1000% important to me. She also responded to my initial inquiry very quickly. I had waited more than 2 hours for a different seller to respond to my inquiry. Ms. Cheryl was my next choice but it proved itself great. Also she notified me of my vehicle interior light being on. I simply was too tired to get up and turn it off. Giving attention to helping me was going out of her way. I'll be sure to leave 5 stars and would return to stay again. Recommended.

Cheryl’s place was perfect for me as it’s located close to I-95 between D.C. and Richmond. I stayed here for a night on my way to Florida. Situated at a really peaceful location by the farm, this is a great place. Very well kept, the room was beautiful and comfortable. Cheryl also accommodated my late check-in request at 11pm which was helpful.

It was a last minute trip. Kelley was quick to respond. It turned out to be a great family experience. We were very appreciative of it. A nice selection of complimentary coffee was a nice touch. Thank you, Kelley!

Very nice and cozy getaway. It’s walking distance to restaurants, grocery market, and small park. The dock is very nice for evening fishing with some big cats and also great crabbing. It was exactly what I expected and was not disappointed.

Great hospitality and tips for people new to Maryland.

Tom and Denise were very wonderful. They treated me like family. They were very warm-hearted and open-minded. They made me feel like I was at home. They were very observant of my religion and even reminded me to pray at prayer time. They showed me around town so I could get familiar with my new surroundings and pointed out a lot of important things I needed to know about the area. They even cooked Halal meat for me. This is the best place I’ve ever stayed!

The presidential sweet was exceptional. Much better than any hotel for the same price. I appreciated Nicholas's breakfast that he personally made for all his guests. Would absolutely recommend to anyone just getting away for a few days. I will definitely be going back when I can.

Thom’s place is quite the adorable little beach bungalow. Close walking distance to the water on either side of the point and walking distance to the Lighthouse, a local restaurant/bar. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable, and adequate kitchen supplies to do light cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

This is the perfect cozy little house to enjoy this quaint little town. It was clean and sensible. I loved the crab decor being a Maryland girl myself. Thom has prepared for everything! We accidentally locked ourselves out but Thom had a quick solution so we didn’t even have to wait for him to come to our rescue. He gave us a bunch of tips for enjoying the area. The little bungalow had everything we needed for a girls get away. We are hopeful to return!

Perfect place for us. We were first timers to Colonial Beach for a mini family reunion. Most time spent on the river or boat or with other families. The house was perfect location to all of our other events. We LOVED the use of bikes. Would definitely return.

We had an excellent stay here! The basement apartment is spacious and clean with a lovely and very usable kitchen. We were very comfortable and able to do fun things like cook and share meals together. We had everything we needed and such a positive experience overall!

We had a lovely stay! The basement space was a tad chilly, as other reviews have mentioned, but tons of blankets were provided and we were more than comfortable. The apartment was adorable, spacious and clean and the location was great. Also, the added touches like hot chocolate packets in the kitchen were sweet and much appreciated.

This place was awesome! Good location. Nice quiet neighborhood. The layout of the place was real nice. I enjoyed my stay here. It was a shared house but you’re in your own part so the interaction was close to none. Privacy here is 100%. I recommend for anyone traveling to Fredericksburg.

We had a really nice, relaxing weekend in Colonial Beach, and the Red Door Cottage was a big part of that. Our stay was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We were able to both cook in the kitchen and grill out at the cottage, and the location was great. While most people get around Colonial Beach by driving or utilizing golf carts, the cottage was close enough to the beach that we were able to walk. The cottage was spacious and there were plenty of beds for our 4 person family. It was a great value and I highly recommend it!

Amy's basement apartment is very well furnished and has many thoughtful amenities. I really didn't get to stay there very long, but it was comfortable for the time I was there. I didn't try the walk to the downtown, but if you're up for a couple of miles it wouldn't be so bad. Very nice neighborhood. Thank you!

My friend and I had a wonderful girls’ weekend in Amy and Nate’s home. They were so warm and welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Their basement apartment was immaculate and stylish, and we especially enjoyed the cozy wood burning fireplace each night, which they graciously set up and had ready for us! Everything we needed and more was there for us, including little gifts of lovely bars of soap that Amy’s friend had made. You go above and beyond in sharing your home with the Airbnb world, guys, and we are so grateful! Would definitely return and stay again!

Great little house! Spectacular views and a wonderful screened porch. Great birdwatching and just a fantastic place to unwind and totally relax. It’s little, but has all the conveniences, with nice touches like coffee provided. Verizon phone service worked for us and we used our hotspot to watch the Nationals playoff game on our computer. We even watched a VHS movie! Highly recommend this little place to get away from it all.

We traveled to Maryland for a wedding. We chose Nancy's because it was cute and on the water. We could not have asked for a better spot. It was quaint, quiet, clean and we loved sitting on the deck and dock just enjoying the experience. We met some crabbers who stopped to say good morning and offered to give a us a ride on their boat. They insisted we try our hand at crabbing. It was an amazing time. I recommend Nancy's Little House on the Water to anyone who wants to get away and relax. I'm sad we had to leave! 🦀❤

Place was as described. Cute and by the water. Loved sitting on the porch and watching the birds. We brought the motorcycle so we could ride it places. Perfect spot because it took a bit to get anywhere. Local restaurants were good. Visited a few nearby casinos. Very clean and relaxing. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway. Thanks for a nice week at your place.

Nancy’s place was an utter oasis. My fiancé and I spent a few days in the Little House to celebrate our anniversary and we had the absolute best time. From fishing off the dock to quiet porch sitting to watching the sunrise through the giant window, every experience we had was relaxing and the view was surreal. While in the dock a boat approached us and offered us their surplus crab and Nancy turned it into a lovely get together and showed us how to properly eat crab. It was delicious and the experience was delightful. Nancy also gave us suggestions for places to eat in town and we had a spectacular meal looking out of the water to celebrate our anniversary. I can’t say enough good things about this place. You will never stay as close to the water, with little to no distraction from the outside world, and have everything you need under your nose. We will DEFINITELY be staying with Nancy again and we highly recommend it to anyone who needs a getaway. Their paradise they have in the Little House is special and you shouldn’t miss out on a chance to experience this kind of peace and serenity.

Cute little house on the water provides a perfect place to turn off your phone and computer and truly relax for a change. Very comfortable accommodations and outstanding hospitality. A bird watchers paradise. Ten out of ten!

Great relaxing spot. Big picture window across from the foot of the bed lets you lie in bed and watch the water; and given the location, that presents no privacy concerns. Nancy’s a super nice person. Abell’s Diner has good and inexpensive breakfasts. Morris Point Restaurant is terrific, albeit not so cheap, but fabulous seafood, e.g. blackened rockfish stuffed with crabmeat.

This loft was very clean, well styled and trendy, and stocked with everything you might need. My husband wanted to move in! What shined the most was Geoya’s hospitality. She went out of her way to add special touches for us including a slice of pi in the mini fridge for Pi Day— my math teacher heart was beaming! She shared many tips for local eateries and things to do. While this feature might not be available to others in the future, she even gave us access to a local beach for fossil hunting. It was a wonderful little getaway— we can’t thank you enough! Tell the kids we said goodbye too! ❤️

As advertised, and very comfortable.

Geoya’s loft was wonderful! She treated me like family! The loft was super clean and included everything needed for my stay. Geoya provided snacks, fruit, chocolate and plenty of k-cups for morning coffee. I have already booked another stay.

Geoya and her family were absolutely splendid! The loft itself was immaculate. A functioning studio that makes you feel at home. The eclectic feel makes you wonder if you’re in an airbnb or a boutique hotel. I couldn’t of asked for more, and I plan to be back soon!

The house was comfortable and perfect for our use. The view was spectacular and we had daily visits from ducks and bald eagles. I definitely recommend staying here!

We had such a wonderful stay! The view was unbeatable, the house was spacious and clean and had tons of amenities, and the bed in the master bedroom was comfy and on the firm side, which I was happy about. Unfortunately the tide was high most of the time we were there, obscuring the sandy section at the bottom of the stairs, so we weren’t able to enjoy the little beach area because it was just too hard to get over the rocks. But we did spend a ton of time out on the deck, enjoying the perfect weather, the view, and all of the animals that happened by...ducks, swans, rabbits, and groundhog who always looked like he was plotting something. We will definitely be back! We just wish we could’ve stayed longer!

What a beautiful place, location and beach. Check in was easy, the hosts were easy to reach and communicate with. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, coffee machine, toaster etc. The private little beach was everything. We went fishing and caught a couple of catfish. The neighbors were interesting to watch as in, the ducks, the ground hog, the bald eagle, the swan and the hawks. Morning sun rise was breathtaking. Sitting out on the deck was so relaxing. Will I come here again? You bet cha!!!!!!

This is an incredible gem of a home! The private beach is perfect, especially if you have little ones. The home is just as charming and clean as the photos promise, Leslie is very prompt with her responses, and overall, we could not have loved this stay more! The town is a 10 minute drive away, but I think next time we’ll just stay at the house! Thank you Leslie!

The house is great for a family or group travelling with the kitchen and laundry spaces. The noise from the train can be loud throughout the night but other than that the location is great! The place was clean and the owners were attentive to our needs. I would stay again!

The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Very convenient to downtown. Take note that the train is really close and the walls are thin. Bring good ear plugs or a sound machine. Hosts were very responsive.

This was my third stay, so obviously I very much like it. It's only a short walk from downtown, and close to the rest of Fredericksburg. Highly recommended.

We were very pleased with the apartment and the location was good for us. Tom and Denise were wonderful to work with. We were running late and they were very accommodating and helpful when we arrived.

One can expect a beautiful space, with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry and extra touches, ie snacks, pens/paper, yoga mat and umbrella. Tom and Denise have thought of everything! It is a very secure apartment so if you are a woman staying alone, you feel very safe! The bed is king size and comfortable but it is high, so if that would be difficult for you for any reason, take note. Sitting area is nicely decorated and comfortable for tv viewing and reading. All in all a great Airbnb! I look forward to returning next time I’m on business.

Tom and Denise were amazing hosts. The space was absolutely perfect and huge to boot. Amazing that they provide washer/dryer usage as well separate from the main house. Everything was so clean and smelled amazing. Will absolutely stay again, don’t bother with a hotel, book with them, you won’t be disappointed!!!!

My best Airbnb stay to date. Apartment was clean and cozy, having it's own thermostat. It was everything I needed for my stay. Denise and her family are very friendly and sociable, but will also completely respect your privacy. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Host was very welcoming! Greeted me at my car and gave me a full tour of the flat. The place smelled and looked amazing. Was very tidy. It was an overall nice cozy experience and would stay here again!
