The Chapel Townhouse is a beautiful one bedroom townhouse, hidden in the heart of central Brighton, affording you the privacy of your own home with the romance, style and grandeur of the best luxury hotels. Described by guests as "absolutely spectacular", "too good to tell anyone about", "100 times better than a hotel", "the BEST place I have ever stayed in Brighton", "outrageously cool, perfectly located and really delivers the wow factor" and "seriously the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at".
A beautiful converted chapel dating back to 1876, the Chapel Townhouse is hidden along a private and picture perfect Victorian mews, accessible through private electric entry gates. Guests enter their own front door to find the grandest of staircases winding around an 8ft chandelier made from 300 antique crystal wine glasses, up to the Chapel Townhouse's studio room with a 15ft high ceiling, original stained glass windows, super-king sized bed, roll top bathtub and a second Victorian inspired chandelier made from black Lego bricks......................
Despite being in the bustling heart of central Brighton, the Chapel Townhouse is so private and secluded, you'll feel a million miles away from the outside world. Hidden along a private mews, just off Church Street in the very centre of the city, you will find the Chapel Townhouse directly opposite Brighton Dome and Corn Exchange and moments from Brighton's famous Pavilion Gardens estate and the Theatre Royal. The Chapel Townhouse is also in the midst of the famous lanes and North Laine areas, packed with the best independent boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops. Brighton pier and seafront is half a mile away and we're walking distance from both Kemptown and Hove. You really couldn't wish for a better location.
  • Really lovely space and such a fun stay. James made all instructions very clear.

  • If you're looking for a unique and incredibly central place to stay in Brighton, the Chapel is definitely for you. It was exceptionally clean and the vaulted ceiling and bath were super. Would definitely recommend for a short weekend trip !

  • Incredible space right in the middle of Brighton. Perfect location. Amazing bath. Interesting stylish decor and design. Totally unique. Loved it.

    Katharine2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you wanna spend a night in a place unlike any others this is the place to choose. Fab location, close to restaurant and shops. Also close to the seafront and Brighton Station.

    Anna2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • James’ place was by far and beyond the best AirBnb I have stayed in. Centrally located (but not too noisy), it was beautifully decorated with the comfiest bed I think I’ve ever slept in. James himself was in prompt contact with details of all we needed for our stay - would recommend to anyone in search of a unique place to stay right in the centre of the Brighton action.

    Georgie2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an amazing and unique AirBnB right in the heart of the North Lanes of Brighton. This was a really cool place to stay and James went out of his way to make sure our weekend was perfect. I would highly recommend!

  • Absolutely great location and suited our group well for what we were looking for. Great communal front room location to relax in and the additional bathrooms was a big bonus! The place is best described as ‘well used’ but it’s what we expected so all good.

  • Great apartment, and extremely central location. Efficient and easy booking process.

    Marcus2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location in Brighton, no more than 15 minutes walk from the majority of what’s on offer. Great space for a short city stay.

    Rory2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in Brighton near some good restaurants. We were celebrating my son’s 21st at a restaurant nearby, so Calandra’s property was very convenient for us. We loved the quirky paintings and neon signs, the huge space downstairs and the master bedroom. Thank you for the chocolates and wine. I hope we can visit again.

    Andrea2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

Totally independent guest suite. Unparalleled location affording complete privacy on Brighton’s historic Regency seafront + huge rooftop HOT TUB King sized bed + ensuite wet room with fabulous waterfall shower. TV, towels, robes, hairdryer, WiFi, tea & coffee facilities Stunning private sitting room with amazing sea views, sofa, TV & fridge. Huge roof terrace + the only frontline HOT TUB in Brighton Perfectly located just 10 minutes to Palace Pier, the world famous Lanes & The Royal Pavilion
(If you are coming by car we have access to a guaranteed off road parking space that’s 90 seconds from our front door. Please check availability at the time of booking as parking in Brighton is at a premium throughout the year) The perfect escape for discerning guests. Extraordinary. Breathtaking. Private. Captivating. Beguiling. Exclusive. Relaxing. Revitalising. Value. All words used by our guests to describe their experience. Come and stay and add to the list. Try to come for two or more nights if you can. Every guest who stays for one night wishes they had stayed longer. It really is that special. So much so that many guests who originally came for one night come back for two nights or more. Staying with us is expensive. We know that. That said you’ll be staying in a guest suite in a £2m+ penthouse, not an impersonal hotel. Many of our regular guests were devotees of The Grand or The Hilton until they found us. If you want something totally unique, even by Brighton standards, the penthouse really is the perfect place to make you feel very special and totally privileged in a way that will leave you relaxed and reinvigorated with the desire to return time and time again. Whilst we are here during your stay think of us as your neighbours. We’re there if you need us. You’ll even have your own private front door into the penthouse. The Airbnb space is so private we often don’t get to meet our guests if we don’t do the check in personally. What you will find when you arrive at the Penthouse is a gem, a one off, a totally unique space with facilities unlike anything else you can find anywhere in Brighton and Hove. Sitting in the hot tub looking straight out to sea and sipping a chilled drink whilst being gently massaged by the various jets quite simply does something to your soul. Please take a moment to read the kind and generous reviews. When you sit in the hot tub or on the roof terrace looking out to sea or up at the stars with the reflection in the sea from the lights of the pier you will appreciate that you are somewhere very, very special. You may have seen our penthouse on TV as it was featured on Sarah Beeny's Property Ladder. The penthouse has also been featured in Real Homes magazine. Location, location, location. Ours is simply the best. Wait until you see the views. You’ll agree. Apart from affording you unlimited* use of the only frontline, sea view, hot tub in all of Brighton and Hove you also get the following... A comfortable, stylish and generous double room with a king size bed enjoying an ensuite wet room with a fabulous waterfall shower. We provide huge bath towels, a hand towel, bath mat and fresh robes. The bedroom also has a TV with Freeview. There is a hairdryer, hanging space in a lovely period wardrobe with a full length mirror, an iron and ironing board and plenty of drawer space. There is a razor point plug and a plug for USB charging cables. There are also tea and coffee making facilities. Whilst the room is centrally heated there is a fan heater so you can always have the room at the temperature that best suits you. The main lights are on a dimmer switch to enable you to set the mood to your preference. There are also bedside lamps. You will also enjoy a private rooftop sitting room** housed in a 'glass box' with direct, breathtaking, unparalleled sea views. This room has a TV, a fridge to chill your drinks for the hot tub a Lavazza espresso machine, complimentary still mineral water and a comfortable sofa where you can relax, unwind and marvel at the astonishing panoramic sea views. The lights on this room are also on a dimmer switch to enable you to set the mood. There are 'love' blankets if you wish to snuggle up on the sofa. This room leads to the stunning roof terrace with quite simply the best sea views in all of Brighton. Glance to your right and you'll see Brighton's Palace Pier, beyond it the remains of West Pier and in the far distance Worthing and on a clear day the Isle of White. Glance to the left and you'll see Brighton marina, the largest man made marina in Europe. The roof terrace has a table and chairs so given good weather you can sit and relax with a drink or a morning coffee and simply marvel at the ever changing views. You will have unlimited use of the roof top hot tub***which also boasts direct, uninterrupted, sea views. The hot tub has 100 jets, lights and Bluetooth so you can enjoy your favourite music whilst you relax and unwind. Relaxing in the hot tub with the sea and Brighton Palace Pier as the backdrop has to be experienced to be believed. We will explain how to use the hot tub. Swimwear must be worn in the hot tub at all times. If you have long hair we ask that you kindly tie it back. It important to shower BEFORE and after using the tub. We do not provide breakfast. You are spoilt for choice with all the excellent local cafes and restaurants. We will gladly recommend our favourites. As an example, the highly regarded Corner Cafe serves breakfast/brunch/lunch from 8.30am and is a three minute walk away so you can have a lie in and never miss breakfast. Their coffee is lovely and they are always happy to amend their menu to suit you. Needless to say you are not obliged to go to there. It is however my absolute favourite cafe in Brighton. Whilst we cannot guarantee the weather we can say that we were in the hot tub on Christmas Day last year...Don't think of Brighton as only a summer destination. The winter sunsets are outstanding and the starling murmuration over Palace Pier is a wonderful sight to behold. Your rooms are entirely independent of our living space so you will never feel that you are intruding in someone else's space. Our airbnb rooms are only used for guests. You’ll never feel as if you’re in someone else’s home. Think of it as your own. In essence you will have a duplex penthouse with bedroom, ensuite, sitting room, roof terrace**and hot tub. There is no access to a kitchen but there is a fridge to chill drinks and ample tea and coffee facilities including an espresso machine. You’ll also have complimentary mineral water. The penthouse is WiFi enabled. *The hot tub can be used between the hours of 09.00am and 11.00pm **Access to the roof terrace is via the glass roof terrace sitting room. We may therefore need to go through this room for access to the terrace to service the hot tub. If that is the case we will always warn you that we need access. ***If you have a fake tan you cannot use the hot tub. We respectfully ask that you do not book our penthouse in the hope of using the hot tub if you have a fake tan as we will have to refuse you permission to do so and we will not offer a refund. This is simply to ensure the hot tub is available for the next guests. Fake tan discolours the water. We simply want every guest to have an exemplary experience. We will do everything possible to make sure you do. We very much look forward to welcoming you.
Our extraordinary penthouse, which featured on Sarah Beeny's Property Ladder, is located on Kemp Town's historic seafront spanning three traditional, frontline Regency townhouses. Location is critical when booking accommodation. Our location is unparalleled. The restaurants and bars of St. James and Kemp Town are within a five minute walk and offer a diverse choice to suit all tastes and budgets. We are happy to offer recommendations. It is a ten minute walk to Brighton Pier, Brighton's Royal Pavilion, the world famous Lanes and the North Laine area which is packed with over 600 independent retailers selling everything from antiques to vegetarian shoes. We have access to a guaranteed off street parking space that’s 90 seconds from our front door subject to availability and payment. Please enquire. We are located approximately ten minutes by taxi (around £8) from the main train station.
  • Everything was great about Deans place, Keeley was extremely helpful and welcoming when we arrived and the place itself exceeded our expectations

    Jack2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic apartment. The hot tub and view are amazing. Definitely would visit again.

    James2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed at Dean’s for my 50th birthday What can I say fantastic views, fabulous apartment and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Will certainly recommend to anyone wanting a special night away. The only disappointment was having to leave!! Thanks again Dean

    Wayne2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very warm hospitality from Dean, made us both feel exceedingly welcome. We hope to return soon. The only thing that could have been improved was the weather, but it was February after all! Spectacular views from the roof terrace. Close to town and perfect for exploring Brighton. Additional car parking also extremely convenient. A highly rated stay :)

    Rob2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend Dean’s place for anyone looking for nice getaway. No matter the weather you can still enjoy the amazing view and the cozy hot tub. Can’t wait to come back!

    Nhung2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you very much Dean! I treated my mum for her 60th birthday, we both had such a fantastic time! The views are just stunning, even with cloudy skies and a strong wind, this was just a superb experience. The hot tub was an added bonus to the beautiful setting. We enjoyed it with a bottle of Moët (in plastic flutes) and oh my what special memories we have taken with us. I knew what to expect in terms of the lack of kitchen as I’d read the description/ rules and reviews. It’s a lot of money, but totally worth it! I’ll be going again later in the year with my partner. Thank you so much!

    Jessica2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing apartment, booked for a surprise for my boyfriends birthday but even I was amazed when I got there. Even better in real life then in the pictures! The hot tub and the upstairs space was just perfect and made for the best evening :)

    Em2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the most magical, romantic and breath-taking places you could ask for. I booked it as a surprise for my fiancé and he was totally blown away (quite literally with the storm in full force). Despite the crazy weather, nothing could spoil the incredible sea views and the total serenity of the hot tub. I could not recommend this place enough! Plus, Dean and Keeley were fantastic hosts. A perfect experience :)

.....To get you in the seaside mood I offer a quiet beach themed double room, on the ground floor of an Edwardian building very close to Brighton seafront. A continental breakfast of croissants, yoghurt, cereals, orange juice and tea and coffee is included in the price of your room. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a toaster within your room. Please let me know if you are vegan or gluten free as alternatives can always be provided. In the room there is a flat screen digital TV, free fast broadband Wifi connection, a fridge and there is a hairdryer in the bedside cabinet. This room is a good size so it can accommodate up to 2 people comfortably, also there is a wardrobe so there is more than enough storage space. As you can see from the photos there is a dining table where you will be able to sit and enjoy your continental breakfast. Next to the room there is a clean and contemporary bathroom with a shower. All towels and bed linen are provided, should you require them there are laundry facilities and use of an iron and ironing board. The apartment is located on a very quiet, friendly street just 15 minutes bus ride from Brighton station. Take the number 27 bus (approx £2.40) towards Saltdean from Brighton Station, bus stop B. Get off the bus at the Burlington street bus stop on the seafront at the bottom of my street (Burlington street) The beach is only 2 minutes walk away. If you are coming by car please see the 'getting around' section, this will explain how the parking near to my place works. The city centre and the popular Lanes area are only 15 minutes walk. Here you can find the cosmopolitan cafe culture or browse the quirky and colourful independent shops and boutiques that make Brighton famous. This area is also where you can find Brighton's best known landmark, 'The Royal Pavilion', here you can also find many theatres, bars, restaurants and other places of interest to visit. Brighton's world famous Pier is 10 minutes walk along the seafront, here you can enjoy roller coaster rides and all the fun of the fair. If you go in the other direction along the seafront, about 20 minutes walk or 5 a minute bus ride you can find Brighton Marina. This is a great place to visit as here there is a lot to do and see. Why not take a drink in one of the bars and restaurants on the board walk overlooking the harbour and yachts? There is also a Casino, a Cinema and a Ten Pin Bowling and Kiddies Games Complex. Every Sunday morning there is a car boot sale, so there is definitely something for everybody. I look forward to welcoming you to Brighton, Gary
....I love living in the Kemptown area of Brighton as it has a village feeling. There are many coffee shops, traditional English Pubs (where you can enjoy a lovely Sunday Roast Dinner), restaurants, antique and other independent shops. It is only a 2 minute walk to the beach and the city centre is just 15 minutes walk away.
  • Lovely and quaint place in Brighton. Perfect for a little get away to the coast! I would highly recommend staying with Gary and his extraordinary service and warm hospitality he provided.

    Veronika2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time staying at Gary's place in Brighton! The room was clean and cute, with a small breakfast table and all the breakfast amenities (toaster, milk, juice, coffee, sugar, plus some continental breakfast items to prepare in room). There's a TV with cable, an adjustable heater, an iron (and board) and a small fridge. The bed was comfy, and big enough for two! Gary is a great host and was very welcoming. He took the time to walk us through everything we could need, plus gave us some tips for exploring the town. Gary is a seasoned host and has taken everything into consideration. We'd be happy to stay with Gary again :)

    Cayley2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Gary responded very quickly and greeted us upon arrival. The flat is very well laid out and clear instructions around so you know what to do. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was good. A nice gesture with a continental breakfast, was well stocked up in the fridge. Overall a very comfortable stay and will be back.

    Harry2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable room, only 2 minutes walk from the beach. The room is quite central, although located in a quiet neighbourhood with. good amount of bars, restaurants, pubs only 5 minutes walk. The room and bathroom were clean, and the added breakfast was much appreciated. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Brighton.

    Guillaume2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gary is a lovely person, he helped us a lot. The room was very clean and the common spaces too. The breakfast is very good. If I returned to Brighton I would repeat without a doubt.

    Lara2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very clean, the location so convenient to reach the beautiful beach. Gary explained everything well so that I could use them comfortably without questions. Also, Gary was absolutely nice guy as he took me to fun places in Brighton in person and we've had an enjoyable conversation over some beers in pubs.

    Ryo2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice room in great location. Gary is a great host.

    Phillip2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gary's place is ideally located and spotlessly clean. An excellent host, found us a great pub nearby and his communication is excellent. Will be sure to stop again.

Brighton is considered very bohemian and boasts a very diverse community with large student population and vibrant gay scene. Throughout the summer the city is buzzing and there are many famous events such as the Brighton comedy, fringe, music and food festivals and the Pride event in August. Brighton also has some of the best street art in the counrty and you'll find a few original Banky's dotted about. We are also just a 55 minutes train ride from London so it perfect if you are planning on visting London for the day. The city has many exciting attractions such as the Pavilion, Galleries, Museums, Theatres, Comedy Clubs, Nightlife, Restaurants and so much more. If you like shopping Brighton is also famous for the Lanes which has many boutiques style shops, cafes and restaurants where you will see many of the diverse mix of Brighton people hanging out and soaking up the unique atmosphere. Every year the city is growing and becoming more popular with so many things to do. There are also the beautiful Downs and country parks which are within sight of the apartment and are great for a hike or long walks to a pub lunch or cream tea. The local community has a Sainbury's supermarket 5 mins walk away, great fish and chip shop at the end of the street and a choice of local shops for take away, breakfast, coffee and a barbers and beauty salon too!
  • Peter and Seb’s place leaves nothing wanted for. I stayed in two of their rooms and each of the rooms was not only decorated like it was out of a magazine but very comfortable and practical- lots of gorgeous mood lighting and foam mattresses. The house itself is also very peaceful and quiet, thanks to both notes reminding guests of noise levels and gentle rules in place helping achieve this. Communication was a breeze- they were always there to answer questions. I loved my stay here and hope to be able to return. Book immediately if you’re questioning it!

  • Such a special place. As a single female traveller I felt safe and at home in this very comfy house. The special touches are fantastic, nothing is forgotten. Amazing value for money, I will be back.

  • We had a lovely stay at Number 34! We stayed in the copper room downstairs which was super cosy and private. The interiors in the whole house are beautiful though, and you notice more and more little touches as you walk around! We spent time with the cats who were super friendly and playful, especially Cilla. Oh, and the home made crumpets and jams/peanut butter in the morning were delicious! Would definitely recommend if you want somwhere quiet and homely to stay for the weekend!

    Francesca2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The best bnb we’ve ever stayed in! So welcoming, comfortable and stylish, we especially loved the cats! Would definitely stay here again

  • We stayed in the Copper Room, cosy but had everything we needed. Loved the house and all the little design touches. The bathrooms were clean and equipped and the kitchen and food were lovely. We enjoyed the fresh orange juicer!

  • Peter and Seb's place is very gorgeous and a delight to stay in. I was only there for one night but the bed was very comfortable and everything I needed was supplied. A real pleasure.

We are situated on the cliff top in Peacehaven with amazing views of the sea. We are an open friendly home with a relaxed atmosphere where everyone is made very welcome. The room is quiet and peaceful with a Scandinavian feel. It's perfect for everyone who wants to get away from it all or for those who wish to head into Brighton for work or pleasure (Brighton is only 15 minutes by bus). We have beautiful walks on our doorstep and easy access to areas of natural beauty such as cuckmere haven.
In the room there is a comfortable double bed, wardrobe space and a small television. There is also a kettle for tea, coffee etc..
We are located right next to a park and the clifftops, so you can enjoy a walk along the cliff top or under cliff and beaches. There are many local shops within walking distance for your convenience including a coffee shop and newsagents at the end of the road. Cash points and banks are also available within a short walking distance.
  • If you re looking for a beach house with view on the cliff, and nice hiking up and down the beautiful windy cliffs, here you are. Miranda is very welcoming and has lovely breakfast with exciting view from kitchen.

  • A perfect seaside room just an easy bus ride away from Brighton. The place is super clean and stylishly decorated. Miranda is very friendly but it feels very private and you have your own space. She left us a very lovely breakfast which was really nice. Beautiful cliff walks just at the end of the road. Will be back soon I'm sure ☺

  • Perfect for our needs - somewhere cosy, clean and comfortable to sleep and get ready. Not a large room, mostly taken up by the bed, so best suited for an overnight stay. Bathroom sparkling clean and modern. Little juice boxes, brunch bars and cereal provided were a lovely touch.

    Shira2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location and a beautiful room.

  • Mark’s place is simply everything you hope for when you book. The location is close to good restaurants, nightlife even the beach without being too close to be disturbed. The place itself is spotless and clean and all facilities are exactly as described, even down to the hotel quality bathroom and included nice touches such as packs of individual breakfast cereal provided along with milk, orange juice and all the usual tea, coffee etc. What more could you want!

    Andy2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and his place are great. Upon arrival we had a bit of a mix up - no one’s fault - and Mark was with us within minutes to sort it out face to face. Totally pleasant, helpful and friendly, we immediately knew we were in good hands! As some people have mentioned the room is small - but that’s why it’s so reasonable and the main thing is the bed is comfy and there is plenty of space for your things! In my opinion, having the bathroom next to the room (and still only accessible to you) and not an en suite, was a bonus! The rooms were clean and there were many thoughtful touches I wouldn’t have expected. The location was fantastic and we will definitely be back. Thanks Mark.

    Sarah2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was okay but apartment was rather small. The location is perfect, and thanks for cereal and candy bars. It was a nice touch :)

    Serhii2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place great location, very cosy and clean too. The only thing is parking, if you get there late like we did we weren’t able to secure a parking permit however there is so many other places to park just bare in mind Brighton is a little on the pricey side. Other than this the place was amazing and better than we expected. Near the sea and near town so was perfect for us.

RELAUNCH !! £32/NIGHT YOUR OWN FLAT 20 MINS FROM BRIGHTON....Cosy studio flat located in the heart of Peacehaven, though very quiet at night... Pull down bed, sofa, tv , wi-fi all there to be used...chest of drawers for clothes all situated in the lounge.. Light , clean & colourful for sure ! Kitchen has cooker, fridge, microwave & washing machine facilities all available.... Bath, shower, sink & toilet in separate part of the flat where clothes rail situated... Double glazed throughout...
It’s a large/medium studio with separate bathroom and kitchen. The pulldown bed is a double and can be left down or pulled up for extra space..Dead easy to operate as is everything in the flat.
The flat is literally a stones throw from the Meridian Centre...This is where the bus terminus is and the Coop superstore resides. It opens from 7-10 so if you need to pop over for anything it’s a 1 minute walk... 10 minutes walk away are the cliff tops of Sussex. There are pathways down to the beach and sea. Brighton is 20 minutes away on the bus or car. It really needs no introduction, however for sports fans like me, I can tell you the Amex at Falmer is the same distance by car though getting the train from nearby Newhaven a good tip. Eastbourne is to the West about 12 miles away. Eastbourne Eagles Speedway at Arlington a great way to spend an evening. All of the area is pretty much on the South Downs Way so there are hundreds of country walks to be had.
  • Simon was very welcoming, showed us where to park, told us the best way to travel into Brighton, flat was clean and cozy, very affordable too

    Hannah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Does exactly what is says on the tin. Simon was easy to contact met us with the keys at a convenient time and just let us to it. Excellent value for money

  • Stayed here over the New Year. Excellent spot, quiet town, Simon is such a great host. As advertised. We didn't travel with a car but had no problems with the busses.

  • Great place that’s worth for it’s value and parking on the premises is alright as well. Very cosy neighbourhood and quiet, the apartment is also close by the supermarket! Enjoyed our stay here would recommend it it!

  • Simon was really welcoming and easy going about everything. The location was easy to get to Brighton from and very good value for money.

    Sasha2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very easy time staying at Simon’s place. The location was perfect for us. There were days when we just wanted to take it easy and Peacehaven is a lovely place to stroll around, stop at a cafe, and explore the Telscombe cliffs along the beach. We also had several days out to Brighton, Lewes, and Hastings, and buses were very accessible from Simon’s flat. His place has plenty of character which we also enjoyed - we were even inspired to make an evening of kicking back and revisiting our favorite obscure music of the 80’s. We would definitely be back if we ever find ourselves in the area again!

    Sarah2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy little spot, great for staying in the Brighton at a reasonable price. Simon was wonderful, even leaving bits like new toothbrushes in case you don't have one (which I didn't) makes the time there much better. It's his own home and he makes you feel like it is yours as well once you arrive. Great value and a wonderful chap!

  • I've been living in this perfect apartment for six weeks, and I can't find the words to express how well I've felt. The apartment has absolutely everything that you need (and more), the heating is fantastic, everything is new and it's spotlessly clean. There's no single thing I can complain about. Caroline and her husband are fantastic, they've made me feel really at home. I'm looking forward to being here again.

NHS workers only. It's free (ignore mention of prices). We want to assist NHS teams to split away from shared accommodation and reduce likelihood of self-isolation. A 15 minute walk to hospital may also resolve transport issues. We can feed you. A cosy space in a great location: you have a fabulous view of Brighton and the ocean. You have a sunny, stylish double room; a separate sitting rm w/sofa bed, en-suite shower/separate toilet.
The maisonette is perfect for parents with one child (two are possible) but also for couples (either travelling alone or with 1 x extra guest), solo adventurers and business travellers/conference-goers. There is a £15 additional charge for a third adult but kids (12 to 16) are free (no children under 12 I'm afraid). Nicknamed 'the lighthouse', the accommodation is situated on the top floor of our family house separated by its own door. It comprises of a large loft double bedroom (with shower), a landing and a toilet and a small living room with TV and a comfortable pull-out sofa bed for a third person (or child). The double bedroom has a superb view, and the folding window opens out and overlooks a flat roof area. From this hilltop vista, rooftops descend downward to Brighton Palace Pier and the sea. You are asked not to smoke inside, but you can smoke on the flat roof area which has safety rails (its easy but be careful climbing out!) The room has a south-facing sloping roof which affects the bed only, but is something tall people need to take note of. The sitting room (on a lower level), has a large TV and sofa bed and its own picture window offering a lovely view over the rooftops and down to the sea. The accommodation is completed by your own walk-in shower room and separate toilet.
You’ll love the immediate locality: our house sits at the top of a famous rectangle of terraced streets comprising of pastel coloured 'dolls-house' style buildings that climb the hill from fashionable Kemp Town and nearby Edward Street. The streets on this rectangle frequently appear in TV, movies and commercials! A few doors away from our house you'll note a distinctive old church (now a Greek Orthodox Church) and nestled close to that a lovely early 19th century farmhouse sitting alongside the gleaming glass of the brand new American Express building. A minutes walk up the hill behind us and you'll come to a pub called The Setting Sun which boasts the best beer garden in Brighton (an afternoon suntrap with views which stretch outward to Worthing; on a very clear day, its possible to see the Isle of Wight). For children, a brilliant playground is just 2 minutes away in the form of Tarner Park which also contains a circular flint-building constructed in the mid 19th Century as an observation tower so that a wealthy merchant (Edward Tarner) could see his cargo ships in arrive the English Channel on route to London. From our house, ten minutes walk eastward brings you to the very splendid (and expansive) Queens Park, perfect for kids, for picnics by the lake (its little cafe-hut cooks really good homemade cake and scones). Ten minutes walk southward takes you across Kemp Town's busy St James Street (full of shops, cafes and bars) and onward to the beech and the Palace Pier. Ten minutes walk westward takes you past the Art College, Brighton Pavilion and into the city centre where you can choose to divert to the youthful, arty North Laines or to the traditional 'Brighton Lanes' with its windy ally ways of antique, jewelry and curiosity shops (not forgetting the sweet shops and the notorious 'Choccywoccydoodah').
  • We were blown away with the hospitality from Ady. Lots of special touches, catered for our every need. Very friendly, kind, generous. Apartment great too, quirky, rooftop views of the sea. All in all, one of the best airbnbs we've ever stayed at!

    Jane2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ady is the most gentle, kind, and thoughtful host I have ever met. His careful introduction and helpful advice made our stay in Brighton more enjoyable. It was such a wonderful experience to have a warm and rich home-made breakfast every morning, let along his lovely cat, the sea-view platform and the claasic Italian sparkling wine in the fridge. His host made us feel at home.We will surely feel like coming back when in Brighton next time!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Julia & Ady's place and loved the space. It's a lovely loft area with excellent views of Brighton and within walking distance of everything we wanted. So many thoughtful touches - refreshments on arrival, flowers in the room, breakfast - they thought of everything! Welcoming hosts and a lovely spot, thank you!

  • We had an amazing stay at Julia and Ady's place. The breakfast hamper was a lovely touch and Ady was very friendly and welcoming. Would certainly come back and highly recommend!

  • An amazing place to stay! The view from the balcony will make you want to live there. A perfect place for 2-3 people. Such accommodating hosts providing cake, wine, breakfast straight to the door (warm croissants and fresh coffee was a perfect hangover cure!) and of course the gorgeous kitty. So close to the town centre where you can access anything and everything you need. Incredibly comfortable beds and a good shower. This very spacious loft conversion reminded me of everything I love about Brighton and I will definitely be staying again.

    Eleanor2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Julia and ady s home was a perfect home from home. Very welcoming hosts. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Definitely recommend a stay at their place if ever going on an adventure to Brighton!

  • I absolutely recommend staying here and I would love to come to stay again. They were warm and welcoming and so hospitable. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The space was cozy, clean, and private. There was also an amazing view of the city. And everything a walkable distance.

Like to welcome you to my beautiful peaceful home in Peacehaven. Its a perfect place to stay if you are wanting comfortable large rooms with easy access to Brighton (15 minutes by bus) or wanting to explore Sussex. The house itself is big and spacious, so you can always find some peace and quiet. I really want you to feel at home here and creating that atmosphere and environment is really important to me. The house has twin single and a double room.
Twin Single Bedroom - This is a converted loft space. Two single beds with an option to have a mattress on the floor if needed. Also includes Virgin TV, Xbox, and sofa. Has chest of draws and a small cupboard for hanging clothes. Double Bedroom - King size bed, wardrobe space, big bright spacious room.(available on another listing) Front Room - Huge front room with large sofa. Feel free to use this room, contains large TV, Virgin, PS4. Kitchen - All the normal things you would find in a kitchen, including a coffee machine. Table that seats at least six people. Bathroom - The bathroom has twin sinks and a shower unit, no bath but the shower is a powerful one. There are toilets upstairs and downstairs. Conservatory - This backs onto the kitchen, lovely to sit in there when its sunny and leads out onto the garden. Garden - Nice sized garden.
Peacehaven is really lovely. I live across the road from a park which has a children playground. Within a five minutes walk there are small cafes and also a Sainsburys, Co Op , Costa, Greggs, Subway etc. We also have lots of takeaways in the area if you fancy getting some food in.

Our detached chalet bungalow is in a quiet and peaceful road 1 minute walk from the beautiful cliff top in Peacehaven, 5 minutes to the beach and Greenwich Meridian Line. We are perfectly located for those who want to visit the vibrant seaside city of Brighton, the historic town of Lewes or enjoy the natural beauty of the South Downs.
We offer a spacious bright and airy double bedroom with comfortable double bed on the ground floor of our home. There is an adjacent bathroom, including toilet, hand basin, shower over the bath and heated towel rail for our guests' sole use. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in your room. On or off street parking is available. We will provide a continental breakfast including a choice of cereal, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, toast and homemade preserves.
Local amenities include a cliff top walk with access to the beach, shops and cafes are at the end of the road including a small supermarket and bakery.
  • We loved every moment of our stay and would definitely recommend staying there. They had considered everything in and added some special little touches. We loved the tea and making facilities and the breakfast was superb- the homemade granola and jam were definitely winners! The advice and suggestions on what to do from Clive- especially with the variety of weather we experienced were spot on! We were even offered lifts and toilet stops! We will be returning if in the area again.

    Emma2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice room with fantastic views of seven sisters just a very short walk from the property to the cliff top. Clive and Pam are great hosts and give tips on local sights and transportation. Good breakfast!

    Sue2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very enjoyable stay, like home from home. Everything you could wish for was there. With our consent, even warmed our PJs on the radiator ready from our return from a show in Brighton. All this extra touches make such a difference. Would centainly stay again if down that way.

    Vanessa2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • I booked the room for my grandma that was visiting me for my graduation and I sadly live in a block of flat on the top floor so I couldn’t really accommodate her. I came across Pam’s Airbnb when searching for something local to us. She was only one minute down the road and it worked perfectly. My nana said she had a delightful time and was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the property, the location and the amazing hospitality provided by both, Pam and her Husband. She had a lovely stay and slept extremely well. She can’t thank enough for the amazing treat she received. Pam and her husband really kindly drove her into Brighton station on Thursday (which they didn’t have to do so! And that to me is outstanding service!) I would 100% recommend Pam’a property for anyone who is looking for a lovely quiet stay very close to amazing cliff views! I can’t thank them enough for making my nanas stay special. Absolutely outstanding!

    Tatiana2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We found Pam & Clive most welcoming hosts, our room & facilities were most comfortable and meant we were well rested before our trip to France in the morning. Pam’s home made granola is delicious! Parked our car right in front of their home, and a 12 minute drive down to Ferry port. Ideal!

    Liz2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay - Pam & Gavin make you feel very welcome. Our room and bathroom were lovely and the house is in a perfect area for touring the area. We will definitely go back and will recommend it to other people.

    Kathy2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and her husband were extremely nice and kind. They gave advice on local activities, prepared a very good breakfast and took care of our stay. Definitely recommended!

    Gaspare2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Clive’s house is on a quiet street, yet close to an excellent bus service into Brighton and Eastbourne and also within yards of the coast path. Parking is easy and free. The room itself is on the ground floor and is clean and spacious, with sole use of a bathroom. Mention has been made previously of the house being noisy. I would say that there is the usual amount of noise for a house with wooden floors and the normal creaks that go with that. If you are used to a house with concrete floors you might well notice a difference. We were made to feel very welcome and were given a good breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, cereals, and pastries with home made jam. When asked our hosts gave us ideas of places we might visit and walks they recommended, many of which we followed. We walked the cliff path into Brighton (approx 2 hours) and took a bus back, which worked well. Peachaven is away from the hustle and bustle of a big town but not far from all sorts of interesting places.

Our location is great we are up high above the beautiful Queen’s Park which is only a 5 min walk just north of Hanover. We are a 10-15 walk from the seafront, pier and city centre. We have good public transport links with the 18 and 21 buses stopping right outside our house which take you to the pier, pavilion, Churchill square and train station in under 10 mins. You are free to use the kitchen facilities including the washer and dryer. We have a downstairs W.C and newly fitted bathroom upstairs with over sized bath and rainfall shower. There are lots of lovely pubs nearby our favourites are the Hanover for pizza and the Geese for its outstanding roasts and sausage and mash menu. We have the beautiful Pepperpot at the top of historical Queen’s Park just around the corner from us. Our favourite coffee and smoothie shop is the Wild Cherry Cafe which is 5 mins walk from the house and the wonderful Starfish and Coffee for one of the best breakfast/brunch in Brighton.
  • Emma and her family were super welcoming, kind and helpful about what to do whilst in Brighton...and recommending vegan food places!

  • It was a very comfortable and homely hostel. The park on my way out of the house and on the way to the sea was also very good, and above all, I was reluctant to take this trip as the city is a city, but the owner of the house, Mike, was always nice to me. He was also very kind and brought me everything I needed. The puppy at home was also very cute. The schedule was twisted so I couldn't go to Seven Sisters, but when I was at home, I was very comfortable and healed. Next time I go to Brighton, I am willing to make a reservation. Super cozy and comfortable. The host mike was super kind and those road to beach was wonderful. Recommend for everyone who is planning to visit brighton. Thanks.

  • A top quality stay, at very reasonable cost. Everything I needed, lovely comfortable bed, great bathroom etc. Peaceful and given privacy. Emma very kindly accommodated my request for unperfumed laundry products on the bedding which was a great relief. Super place, very handy for public transport, and also parking car outside which I needed. Thank you <3

  • great place to stay in brighton, recommend!

    Marise2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place. Lovely people. Emma couldn’t have been warmer or more welcoming. I felt that while I was sharing their home, I was part of the family and at the same time, I had my privacy. The room is small but very accommodating - with a little chair by the window where I could read and appreciate the view. I could make hot drinks in my room and appreciated the breakfast before setting off into town. Even though their home is a very pleasant half hour walk away from the coast, it’s elevated position, next to the lovely Queens Park, gives a surprisingly good view of the sea. There’s a Victorian public baths around the corner and more lovely little pubs close by than you could shake a stick at. Emma is super helpful and clearly loves Brighton and people and life in general - which is just nice to be around.

    Cathy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a short steep walk to the property at one point, but that is no problem as the location is still great only about 15-20 mins walk from the station & to the town & beach about the same. A warm welcome & room is cute, quiet & clean.

  • 2nd year in a row here, absolutely love it! Cute little basement flat that makes you feel really safe. Would just mention a few things so people are aware: 1. You can feel the vibrations and hear the road more as you are in a basement flat, you do get used to it though 2. You can hear the person walking above, do not be alarmed 😂 3. If you are 6ft4 or taller you will have to duck in the bathroom as the ceiling is low 😂 Thanks again, we'll be back next year 👏👏👏

Top floor, light and spacious double room with fireplace in character Victorian house with garden. The room has a comfortable double bed, painted floor, large bay window and original Victorian furniture. I am close to trains, buses, ferry, beach and hill walks.
I am a yoga teacher and massage therapist so can offer you one to one yoga lessons or a relaxing massage in a lovely quiet warm space. I am also a great cook and will make you a delicious evening meal if you give me enough notice. The house has a garden and a really friendly cat. The house is quirky, old and a little inconvenient, interesting and shabby. I need to point out that the bathroom is in the basement and the bedroom is 2 flights of stairs up so it is not suitable for anyone disabled or infirm. I have had new windows fitted since writing the above so it is much quieter now but in the summer the seagulls can be noisy. So bring some earplugs if you are sensitive to noise.
Newhaven is on the outside just another industrial small town but has a great beach and cliffs, is only minutes away from the Ferry terminal to Dieppe. Brighton is 30 mins away by bus or train and the historic town of Lewes with it's castle and ancient windy streets is 10 mins by train. I am only minutes walk away from the beautiful downs and river walks.
  • Suzanne is very caring and welcoming. She has a lovely and comfortable home. The apartment is close to the port so if you arrive by ferry (like me) it’s perfect. You have everything close by. It was a perfect stay for me. Thank you again Suzanne

  • Suzanne was a lovely and warm host and her home is beautiful and peaceful. It's perfect if you just want some time out or want to explore Lewes /Brighton (very close on the train). When I arrived I had a warm bath with salts and essential oils, a nice cup of tea and read one of her many interesting books. She also provided breakfast/tea and coffee for me which was a thoughtful touch. Overall I would highly recommend- Suzanne really is a suoerhost!

  • A great stay in a cozy, warmly decorated room and house. Suzanne provided breakfast for us as well. A great spot for the Seven sisters walk. Thanks for having us!

  • After walking 22km, I was exhausted and famished. Suzanne ran a bath (with epson salt and scented trinkets), directed me to a delicious local fish platter and was perfectly pleasant throughout my stay.

  • Had an absolutely wonderful stay. My room was perfect and Suzanne couldn't have been a friendlier, kinder host.

A home in the heart of Hove & Brighton. Seconds away from the beach and 15 minute walk to Brighton centre, come and stay in our lovely apartment. There is a bus stop 2 minutes from the apartment with several buses going all over Brighton and nearby cities. The main Brighton train station is a 20 minute walk or 12 minute bus ride. LGBT+ Friendly The apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator, so unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible.
You'll be staying in a bright and comfy bedroom. Plus, there is a shared bathroom with very large bath tub and great shower pressure. The kitchen comes with dinning table and chairs and a great view of the ocean. If you like sunset views, you've come to the right place :) There is occasionally a dog in the property, so please just let me know in advance if you don't like dogs. We will provide tea and coffee and great tips for things to do in the area.
Brighton & Hove is a lively and exciting area. There is always lots to do here with great food, fun bars, amazing live music and the beach! We are a 20 minute walk to the famous Brighton Pier.

Like to welcome you to my beautiful peaceful home in Peacehaven. Its a perfect place to stay if you are wanting comfortable large rooms with easy access to Brighton (15 minutes by bus) or wanting to explore Sussex. The house itself is big, very clean and spacious, so you can always find some peace and quiet. I really want you to feel at home here and creating a peaceful relaxed atmosphere and environment is really important to me. The house has a double bed and twin single.
Double Bedroom - King size bed, wardrobe space, big bright spacious room. Twin Single Bedroom - This is a converted loft space. Two single beds with an option to have a mattress on the floor if needed. Also includes Virgin TV, Xbox, and sofa. Has a chest of draws and a small cupboard for hanging clothes. (this room is available on another listing) Front Room - Huge front room with large sofa.

  • Such an awesome experience staying in the yurt, great location as theres lots of public transport options and John's a great host! Would definitely advise giving this a go

    Luke2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My two young sons and I stayed in the yurt on a Saturday evening. John and Ash were exceptionally hospitable and really made us feel welcome. A fire was lit for our arrival (great for marshmallow roasting) and they set up a heater to ensure the yurt was cosy - even on a cold night. They were great with the kids - putting on cartoons on in the kitchen and taking the pressure off me, whilst I cooked dinner in the well equipped kitchen. The yurt was spotless and the (massive) bed was really comfortable. A great stay!

  • This was my second trip to John Wayne's Lodge and it did not disappoint! I met John's Lovely Bother, Ash, and met some familiar friends' faces! The Lodge has been redecorated to a high standard since my recent stay here in January, and the changes are amazing! I really loved my stay in the Yurt! Everyone had thoughtful touches and I was made to feel like a VIP guest! I can't wait to stay again. I recommend to everyone!

  • Trevellion is an amazing host!! I really enjoyed my stay there and spending time with him. I'd recommend him to everyone. He is very polite, nice and open-minded. I was lucky in meeting him because I had a really good time living there. Moreover, Saltdean is in a great position. Beautiful sunsets during the summer period and out from Brighton chaos but just 15minutes bus far from it (depending on the traffic). I couldn't ask for anything better :)

    Carlo2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Trevellion is amazing person, spending time with him is like be with family member. He was always cheerful to help and explain us anything what we did not understand. Our house, recently modernised has 3 beds and 2 bathrooms and is decorated to a high standard. Situated on the highest road in Saltdean we have amazing views over the Lido and the Channel. We are Sarah & Mike, and we moved here in 2016 to run a seaside B&B. We welcome visitors of any age or background so long as they are polite and tidy. Always keen to help with local info - our aim is to make your stay a happy one! PLEASE NOTE we do live on the premises. Also *PLEASE SEE CANCELLATION POLICY*.
Upstairs Bedroom: (Bedroom 2) -double bed -bedside tables & lights -fold-out desk -opening window with sea views -shelving unit with hanging space -freeview TV -full length mirror -kettle and drinks-making facilities -En-suite shower room with opening Velux window We are currently considering whether to let out bedroom 3 which is downstairs, but it is possible that 2 people could share the pull-out day bed for an extra charge. Bedroom 3 has a toilet immediately outside the door.
Saltdean is a residential village 4 miles from Brighton. Our road is 250 ft above sea level backing onto the South Downs National Park. There is a useful parade of shops nearby (less than 10 mins walk) featuring a Co-Op, Post Office, launderette, pharmacy and several takeaways. Also an authentic Italian restaurant serving the best pizzas we've tasted! ** NOTE: Steep hill back from shops! ** This is a quiet neighbourhood with very little traffic. At night in winter, all you hear is the wind and the occasional seagull.
  • I've stayed at Michael & Sarah's before, and love going back..they're great hosts. The bedroom & ensuite is spotless and warm, with everything that you'll need for your stay. Comfy bed, tea and coffee, and use of the fridge is very handy. I'd highly recommend 😊

    Susan2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's house is in a neat suburban road on a hill overlooking Saltdean Lido and the bay. The house is bright and spacious, and immaculately clean and tidy. The room has a lovely sea-view and a good double bed, a hanging-space and plenty of drawers. The bathroom is en-suite with a good-sized shower cubicle, loo and stylish washbasin. Mike and his wife are friendly and pleasant, and made us welcome. We enjoyed our stay.

    Cliff2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay could not have been better. We had booked an extra night and it was no problem. The room is better than a room in a ''real b&b''. It's very clean, tidy, nicely decorated, the seperate bathroom is very handy, the sheets are fresh and very soft and the seaview is a great plus. It's also handy to have a secure parking spot. Michael and Sarah are great hosts and give very good tips. We would give them 6 out of 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Eline2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Michaels place was perfect. There is no difference between a ''real'' b&b and this room. It's very clean, the separate bathroom is great, the fresh and soft sheets feel amazing and the seaview is a really nice plus. It's also handy to have a secure parking spot. Michael and Sara are very friendly hosts. We give this place 6 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Eline2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Sarah were very friendly and gave us good advices for pub and breakfast locations. Check in and out procedures were easy and without problems. The place was very clean, well equipped and offered a great view over the city and to the sea. We would definately recommend them to others :-)

    Moritz2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Sarah's home is such a lovely place to stay, in terms of location, hospitality, cleanliness and value, and they are so welcoming and friendly..it's 5*. The bed is very comfortable, and the facilities in the bedroom & en suite are excellent (shower gels, toothpaste, kettle, teas, coffee, and use of fridge & kitchen downstairs if needed) Parking is no problem, as you can use the drive, or park on the street. I'd highly recommend staying here, and have already booked in advance! 😊

Newhaven is a working port that has traditionally hosted industry. In the past, Parker pens were made here, these days it is more known for being the centre for renewable energy and recycling. Kora2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Steve’s place is a wonderful hideaway if you are coming to visit Brighton. Definitely where I would stay if I visit Brighton again. Steve had great ideas about making the stay fun (riding bikes along the coast into Brighton proper) as well as local food recommendations. The location was easy to reach by bus from Brighton and has a lovely, peaceful back garden that we used before heading out. Steve is so friendly too!
