Darling sweetheart cabin, located on a working horse ranch on top of the Colorado National Monument, 30 min from Grand Junction. This location is perfect for those seeking a unique place to stay while enjoying all the adventures available around the area including hiking trails, horseback riding, ATV riding, hunting, and some of the best mountain biking around. There is beautiful aspen covered, alpine high country nearby as well as red rock desert/ formations including a series of natural arches.
This" little" cabin is perfect for an individual or couple seeking a cozy cabin to stay in whether it be a night away or an extended stay. The main level has a "comfy" king size bed complete with an electric blanket for cold nights. It also has a couch and recliner, TV (direct tv), microwave, small refrigerator, heater, and wood burning stove. There is an extra twin mattress in the loft as well as an extra full size floor mattress upon request. There is no bathroom attached to the cabin, however, there is a unique, clean barn wood outhouse that sits to the side of the cabin
Jake’s home is located in Glade Park, Colorado, United States. Glade Park is remote, but the drive up the Colorado Monument is incredible, there are two accesses into the park- the Fruita entrance and the Redlands entrance. Driving up the monument you will see red rock, formations, tunnels, and you could even see Desert big horn sheep. We recommend driving up one way and exiting down the other side. Glade Park is also home to some of the largest mule deer and Trophy Elk in the country. The residents sits next to BLM property. There are a few homes nearby. There is a small convenience store located 2.5 miles away and the nearest gas station, restaurant, stores etc. are 30 min. away in Grand Juction, CO. We have had several guests say this is a very convenient place to stay if you are on your way to Moab, Ut or Canyon lands etc.
  • Incredible views, cozy amenities, and wonderful hospitality!

  • This place is absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for an experience you will never forget, this is definitely your place. Jake and his family were wonderful. His wife makes the BEST PANCAKE BREAKFAST EVER! We can’t wait to come back with the kids one day. When you come, do yourself a favor and go on the horseback ride. You will not regret it.

  • I fell in love with this stay. It was so peaceful and super cozy. Jake was a great hostess making sure the room was ready and warm when I arrived. The bed was very comfortable and the room stayed warm which I really appreciated. There is so much to admire about this cozy home. I would definitely love to come back and enjoy this place some more.

  • Super cozy and cute cabin! The bed with the heating blankets was amazing. We definitely recommend staying here.

    Claire2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Be advised that it gets pretty cold in the winter. Not bad once the wood stove gets going, and the electric blankets they provide make a huge difference. Ideal place for a digital detox.

  • Our time at Jakes was marvelous. The cabin was just right. Neither of us had ever ridden a horse before. Jake and his wife made us feel safe and adventurous at the same time. .. The area is gorgeous and we stayed oh so cozy In the Darling cabin. The ranch and animals were so delightful, and I wanted to take home a puppy. We have stayed in quite a few air BnB s, and this place is a gem, and we are already making return plans. Communication was great, directions all good. It’s a joy to spend time with folks who love their life and home. Thanks for the memories. L&K

  • Jake’s pictures don’t do the cabin justice as it’s fun rustic vibes make you feel right at home in a cabin he built on his property! The space was easy to enjoy and Jake and his sons were more than helpful. The horse farm was a fun touch as well.

    Christian2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • So much more than just a cozy rustic cabin. It’s a unique experience and chance to share Jake and his family’s life in the farm. And it’s truly magical. Their hospitality is outstanding. Jake built the cabin himself. I already booked for April and August. Can’t wait to be back. Thank you again

  • Honestly don't know if we will ever sleep the same again after our evening here. Absolutely LOVED the cabin and the extremely homey feel. Also Sean was awesome showing up the entire place! Not to mention the ADORABLE dogs I just wanted to invited in to cuddle all night. Most incredible Airbnb we possibly could have found while driving cross country! Thank you so much!

    Jen2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far my favorite place I've ever stayed in Colorado.. We loved the cabin and all the hospitality we received from little Jake, Shawn, and Matt.. I would recommend this place for anyone. The horse trail ride was exceptional and overlooked a breath taking view.. We were not disappointed in anything.

  • Phenomenal little cabin! Thoroughly enjoyed a themed stay at this exquisite little cabin. Super comfy, warm and stylish. Will be back! Highly recommend!

    Mati2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What an amazing place! If your looking for an authentic ranch style glamping, this is it! The minute you walk in you feel like you stepped back to a much simpler time. When a cabin was a cabin. Everything was so unique and quaint with amazing personal touches from the owners. Who by the way, were awesome host. Lol our only qualms would be the fact that the ceilings are really low. My husband who is 6'2" made it a comedic experience hitting his head over and over again on the lamps lol. It really just added to the experience. We look forward to going back this May and bringing our friends!

    Kate2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very unique . If you want something out of the ordinary/fresh surrounding then give this place a try. It is a good place for a small group of people . We get to relax , cook together and explore the area. Lexi is very nice ! I would come back in the future.

  • Great, clean place to stay right on the river.

    Andi2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This RV is in an incredible location, right on the water. We enjoyed meeting all the animals on the property, and walking along the trails along the river - even spotted a few bald eagles and a great blue heron along the river. Also, we were there during a particularly cold few nights and the RV stayed plenty toasty!

  • Jon was incredibly courteous and it was great to wake up to snow falling and a little peace and quiet! Our stay was very enjoyable.

  • I definitely would stay again at the place. We were going to spend one night at the trail but then for some issues they offer us the main house to stay. We couldn't ask for more in Christmas. It was an outstanding experience. The place it's amazing, all the animals, the river, the staff is very nice. Thank u so much

  • We didn't end staying in the airstream we booked, but John put us in the guesthouse that ended up being way more accommodating. The pellet stove kept us warm all night, and we were greeted by Barbecue, the baby pig, alpacas, friendly goats, kittens, and puppies. John was great at greeting us as well as the other homeowners on the property. We will definitely be back!

  • Corey's listing is just as described! Communication was great, I didn't meet Corey but was taken care of by John from the get go. Corey and John communicated with me instantly and responded to my questions really quickly. I booked this listing super last minute and enjoyed every bit of my time here. The kitchen space was enough, we were able to cook ourselves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also very much enjoyed how friendly the dogs behaved (Happy, Little, and Rocky) :)

They provided space heaters and a heated blanket so we were warm at night. They provided two TV's (one in the living area and one in the bedroom) and both had Netflix available, which was awesome.

  • Doc's Cabin was very clean, well-organized, and easy to find. Check-in was a breeze. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt safe. It's conveniently located off of a main thoroughfare, but far enough away that traffic noise was not an issue. The cabin is a little small for two large adults, but for us it was perfect.

PLEASE read the entire listing. This is one of the best locations in Fruita! Our guest house is small and old, but we like to think that it has a lot of character. The house has flaws (cosmetic/appearance/age related) and is priced accordingly. This is one of the few pet friendly options in Fruita - with no extra fees. We have never had a problem with our (announced) pet guests - just tell us they are coming (or there will be a fine).
~300 square feet of simplicity and charm, and yes, it is as old as it looks! This home is very small and has low ceilings. I would recommend contacting me if you're taller than 6 ft. There are pots, pans, utensils, etc for most basic meals. The fridge and stove are about 2/3 size (of normal) and there is a microwave and coffee pot. This house is more geared towards spending the evening reading or sitting outside on the hammock as there is not a TV. Our WiFi generally streams pretty well, but this whole Valley runs into issues with Spectrum on occasion. We are constantly working on making it better and appreciate feedback!
We have perhaps the best location in Fruita. The charming downtown is maybe 200 yards away. There are more stores in Fruita that are not downtown, and those are easy biking distance. Fruita is a quiet and peaceful community, and most of the businesses here are closed by 9. If you are into the nightlife/bar scene, Grand Junction may be worth looking into. On the contrary if you want an affordable spot that is quiet and has great trail access, you can't beat Fruita. Please respect our neighbors as well as our town and local trails.
  • Great spot to stay in downtown Fruita! Quick drive to local bike spots and can walk downtown! Nice and cozy even when the temps were low. We would highly recommend a stopover here!

    Mallory2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Place was perfect for our weekend needs in Fruita. Within walking distance from many local shops and restaurants. Great spot for a weekend away from Denver.

  • Had a great stay at Chris and Kayla’s charming cottage. It’s right in town and we walked everywhere! Would definitely stay again!

  • Cozy space, tons of outdoor options, and great restaurants nearby!

  • Exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for in downtown Fruita. Cute guest house that allowed our two dogs. It’s a block from all the breweries and restaurants. It’s tiny but still has a full kitchen and more amenities than a hotel room would. Just what we were looking for while visiting family and enjoying the Fall Festival. Thanks Chris and Kayla!

    Allison2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Kayla’s place is in the perfect location! My wife and I got to enjoy downtown and being centrally located to 3 different mountain bike trial systems! Very easy to communicate with. Would recommend :)

This is a fully equipped, fully functional yurt with all the amenities of home. It's the largest prefab yurt on the market. It's the perfect summer or fall retreat. For those willing to brave the cold it's also available in the winter months. Located in the magnificent Unaweep canyon, the yurt is surrounded by steep granite walls and blue skies that span in every direction. Just miles away from the Gateway Canyons Resort, this unique area has something for everyone.
Nomadic tribes of Mongolia still live in yurts today. While the modern yurt has adopted a few design options the essence of living in a round structure remains the same. Surprisingly the yurt is 760 sqft! There is a full bath with running water, hot too! The kitchen is modest but offers all the essentials. There is an oven with stovetop, full size fridge/freezer, microwave and two compartment sink. Dishes, silverware, pots, pans, cooking utensils and of course a French press. Furnishings include a wooden dining table and chairs. A custom hand carved log bed (queen). A couch/pullout and a rocking chair.
This is not your typical neighborhood! There are neighbors up and down the canyon but sometimes miles of space in between. During the day choose from a variety of activities. Everything form hiking, biking, rock climbing, rafting/kayaking and horseback riding. There is a moderate/strenuous hiking trail located across the canyon floor called Wildcat Trail (mile marker 133). The trailhead is marked and parking available in the picnic area. For detailed information see : (URL HIDDEN) I also encourage guests to visit the Gateway Canyons website- ((URL HIDDEN) The resort not only offers good information about the area but it also specific activities such as horseback riding or off road tours. The "Stables" is a working stable offering guided horseback riding. Ride in majestic valleys and climb through groves of aspen as you explore the west the way early settlers did! Atv tours and jeeps tours are also available through the resort, just inquire at the Adventure Center. For those looking to explore by vehicle, Moab is a couple hours west of Gateway via John Brown Canyon. A beautiful drive with views of the La sal Mtns. The high desert landscape of the Colorado, Utah border is truly unique. If you wish to leave the hiking for others and simply want to relax! The yurt offers perfect serenity. Days are filled with cool mountain air and every evening you're dazzled by stunning views with breath taking sunsets. Around dusk you can watch as the elk spill down off the Uncompahgre and into the valley below. You'll witness elk calves splashing in the lake below or herd bulls claiming their territory! There is a set of binoculars for wildlife watching, you never know what you might find! In the spring there are several waterfalls that spill into the Canyon. Don't let me forget Driggs Mansion a couple miles west of the yurt or my favorite swimming hole along west creek! You'll have to ask me about that one! If I've left something out just ask! I grew up in Western Colorado and I know the area well! I'm happy to help you plan your trip and see that you experience yurt living the way you want! Now is the perfect time to experience Western Colorado!
  • This yurt experience is pretty incredible. The views it has to offer are breath taking, including canyon sunsets and grazing elk! We were definitely appreciative of the pellet stove as it dropped into the 20s when we stayed. It kept us plenty warm! Also, how great is it to have a yurt with a full kitchen and bathroom? We will definitely recommend staying here! We hope to come back soon. Thanks Nick and Maya for letting us stay in your beautiful yurt.

    Ariel2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Nick and Maya! What a dream your yurt in Unaweep Canyon is. We can’t wait to return. It was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with a beautiful space for cooking meals together, eating and enjoying sunrise on the front porch and playing games! We loved exploring the canyon with our pups and relishing in the beauty of Gateway. Thanks for sharing your property and making it such a comfortable space to stay. The bed is SO COMFORTABLE!

    Sylvie2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Everything is as pictured and described. A great place to unplug and rest!

    Jonathan2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nick & Maya's yurt in the Unaweep Canyon is an amazing experience! We enjoyed staying here on our mini-moon and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing & peaceful getaway. We loved hearing the elk bugling at night and also explored the Dominguez Escalante National Conservation Area and enjoyed that, as well.

    Briana2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is my 4th or 5th time staying at the yurt. We had an amazing time. I can never say enough good things about the space and the scenery. It’s beyond beautiful and always so nice escaping civilization. There was a nice bottle of wine from a local winery and delicious toffee waiting on us and we thoroughly enjoyed both. Thank you Nick and Maya SO much! We hope to be back in the spring!

    Kris2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • This yurt experience is everything it promises! Unaweep Canyon is truly a tucked-away gem of Colorado, with great outdoor experiences all within easy drive. The hosts were friendly, communicative, and helpful. The yurt itself was clean, well-appointed, and comfortably fit our family of 4 adults, not to mention perfectly positioned for beautiful sunset views over the lip of the canyon. I would definitely return again any time!

    Mary Marshall2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cool place! The Unaweep canyon is amazing and the yurt was a fantastic way to stay there. We felt totally secluded but trips to Grand Junction and Fruita were easy enough.

    John2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing and relaxing time at the yurt. We were able to explore around the yurt, and visited Gateway and Grand Junction during our stay. This is the perfect secluded spot to make life long memories and enjoy being in the moment!

Pat offers the most unique Airbnb experience in the Grand Valley of Colorado. Staying with her is like staying with a favorite relative--a relative who has been a ranch hand, trail rider, cowboy poet and author, and who lives the Western lifestyle. Stay with a real Colorado cowgirl!
My place is warm and inviting, with southwest charm and ambience. The beds are comfy, and the breakfasts are delicious! You will find me an interesting conversationalist, and I love interacting with my guests. Cozy guest room in uniquely beautiful mobile home in a quiet neighborhood of Grand Junction, Colorado, on the Western Slope of the Colorado Rockies. This is Colorado's wine country. Featuring two comfy single beds with private 3/4 bath. Wi-Fi hook-up. 24/7 Air filtration/purification system. Off-street parking for one or two vehicles. Fix your own breakfast or host will prepare one to your liking. Easy access to the breathtaking Colorado National Monument, the Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Range, and the largest flattop mountain in the world, the Grand Mesa, where over 300 lakes beckon. Hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, horseback riding, wine country tours, and float trips are just a few of the adventures available in the area. Wander our lovely award winning downtown Main Street, featuring artisan shops, restaurants, museums, and one-of-a-kind sculptures. We are only two hours from Moab, Utah, the outdoor sports capital of the world, as well as Arches National Park and Canyonlands. Festivals are held throughout the spring, summer and fall celebrating our famous peaches (Aug.), apples (Oct.), corn (Aug.), cherries (June), strawberries (June), and wines (Sept.). Other events include JUCO (May), Fruita's Fat Tire Festival (Apr.), Art on the Corner Golf Tournament (Aug.), Mike the Headless Chicken Days (May), Country Jam USA (June), Art & Jazz Festival (May) Fruita Rimrock Rodeo (weekly June-Aug.), Mesa County Fair (July), Colorado Pro Rodeo Finals (Aug.), Brews & Bones Dinosaur Days (July), Fruita Fall Festival (Sept.), Two Rivers Chautauqua (Sept.), Colorado Mountain Winefest (Sept.), and Oktoberfest (Oct.). You will not want for things to do! Guests may use the kitchen as well as the washer and dryer. I enjoy interacting with my guests with interesting conversation and showing them around the area if they wish. The neighborhood is low-key and quiet, with underground utilities and curving streets. Guests will want to explore the surrounding area, however, and not spend time at "home." We have so much beauty in close proximity, with hundreds of hiking and biking and horseback trails, river rafting, and cross-country and downhill skiing. For history buffs, there is ancient Native American rock art in abundance, as well as dinosaur tracks and quarries. Dinosaur Journey Museum in nearby Fruita is one of the top ten in the world. There is public transit (bus) nearby if needed, and taxi service is available. Host will meet you at the airport, train station, or bus depot and will take you on tour of the surrounding area for a small fee. We are smack in the middle of Colorado's wine country, and Powderhorn ski area is one hour away.
Centennial '76 is a quiet mobile home park with curving streets and underground utilities. Parking for one or two vehicles is available on my property. It is a safe, family oriented neighborhood.

  • Pat is a wonderful host, really one of the best! The previous reviews have pretty much said it all. Expect a warm welcome, clean and comfortable room, well made breakfast and a few verses of cowboy poetry that had me on the verge of shedding tears into my coffee. Please do not hesitate to book!

    Daniel2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Pat provided us the best air bnb experience we've ever had. She was so kind and friendly, opening her home to us and making sure we had everything we needed. Listening to her poetry in the morning over a Mexican coffee was a unique treat, and something I looked forward to each day. Next time I'm in Grand Junction, I'll be staying with Pat. Thank you so much!

Thanks to guests just like you, Kale's Cottage is by far the most popular and sought after Airbnb in Western Colorado. Our guests leave honest reviews, and we invite you to read through them. Elegant, private, modern and pet friendly, the cottage is like having your own custom 374 sq ft hotel room complete with full kitchen, Scandinavian wood stove, walk in tiled shower and Bose surround sound. When you stay with us, we know that you will experience a uniquely beautiful and peaceful property located within the city limits and within just minutes of downtown Paonia. Well behaved dogs are allowed in the cottage ($10 flat rate one time pet charge payable upon arrival) so book your stay now to ensure that your canine companion is treated like family! Our sensible earth-friendly 'Solargon Cottage' was chosen as one of 40 structures featured world-wide in the acclaimed 2013 book "Urgent Architecture: 40 Sustainable Housing Solutions for a Changing World" by Bridgette Meinhold. The cottage is 374 elegant square feet and was also featured on the tiny home blog immediately upon completion in 2010. (Search online for 'Kale and Laura's Solargon'). Our spacious one acre property borders open space and overlooks the residential streets of Paonia. Our guests immediately notice how few neighbors we have and how much nature and beauty we enjoy from our unique location. In the center of this very large garden oasis sits the ultra-efficient 'Solargon Cottage', which was custom built by your host and two friends from the finest toxin-free materials available. The comfortable round house 'hogan' design is arguably the most energy efficient house not only in the Town of Paonia, but also in Colorado. It features simple and elegant comfort, unlimited wireless wifi, indoor/outdoor 7 speaker surround sound, beautiful Liebherr Energy Star refrigerator, full kitchen with large propane oven and four propane burners, indoor dining table for six (outdoor dining for 10-20), bathroom with 10 foot ceilings and four foot vanity, walk in custom tiled shower, queen bed with cozy pillows and comforter, and huge windows with views of the garden terraces and the larger surrounding mountains. The cottage is surrounded by a haven of fruit trees, raised garden beds, red flagstone patios and walkways, and custom crafted outdoor living essentials such as a fully functional outdoor kitchen, shaded redwood patio arbor for meals and relaxing, a 10x12 locally crafted wall tent for naps, snuggles and/or extra guests ($20 flat fee), and a grassy private lawn. We invite you to listen to the wind chimes in your own private kingdom and yet within 3 minutes of easy biking you will find yourself in the center of downtown Paonia. A beautiful walking, biking and horse trail is accessed in our backyard with views of the West Elk Wilderness, Grand Mesa, and Mt. Gunnison. Private parking is provided. We are cannabis friendly and request that you smoke on the redwood deck outside or under the shade of the hops-covered arbor. NOTE: Airbnb charges a 7-10 percent surcharge on top of the posted rate above plus the State of Colorado occupancy fee. This is how Airbnb makes profit. This fee is similar to the typical taxes and fees associated with a motel room. The small space is easy to keep warm with four wall mounted Eco Heater 400 watt silent units. A modern and beautiful Lodi 1250 wood stove with glass door is beautiful for both romantic evenings or simply as a place for flowers, candles or a sweet altar to add to throughout your visit. Small house you say? Ask anyone. We have routinely hosted dinners for 15-30 guests both in the house and on the patio and have found the circular layout of the eight-sided 'Solargon Cottage' to be conducive to enjoying a large group of people, or simply having a romantic evening for two. Our outdoor homestead features a warming hut with futon and wood stove, outdoor canning and cooking kitchen, two large outdoor freezers for your abundant harvest week, large private green lawn and gardens, walking paths and huge fenced in gardens with fruit trees throughout. Our outdoor living scene (as pictured) is a great way to get the most out of your visit to Colorado's premier farm-to-table destinations. Hire one of our local chefs to prepare you a meal either in the 'Solargon Cottage' or in the outdoor kitchen. Our 1 acre homested is located off of 2nd street on the edge of town. We have a large hidden driveway and our property does not front any major roads. Driving to town is easy and we have plenty of parking tucked up on the homestead. However, we do encourage our guests to walk or bicycle to town. The Stewart Ditch nature trail has an easement through our back yard and offers stunning views of the surrounding West Elk Wilderness, Mt. Gunnison, vibrant orchards, vineyards and the landscape of the North Fork Valley. We encourage you to visit our local brewpub Revolution Brewing, eat at a variety of great downtown restaurants, visit Fresh & Wylde Farmhouse Inn, bicycle to the wineries throughout the valley and join us for live music, theatre productions and the abundantly creative lifestyle that is the signature of this amazing community.
Our 1 acre homested is located off of 2nd street on the edge of town. We share a driveway with our neighbor Bill but have a large private four car parking area and a large grassy lawn. We are hidden from the busy streets in town and from Kale's Cottage you feel uniquely 'tucked away' in a garden paradise surrounded by trees.
  • Kale's place was incredible -- we loved the cozy space and the wood-fired hot tub. Our dog loved it, too!

  • This homestead is in a great location close to downtown, with a very comfortable and cozy bed and nice amenities. Mints were left for us on the bed, which was a very nice touch. It is a lovely and unique property/cottage to be enjoyed in any season. Kale and Misha were very communicative, check-in was easy, and our stay, though not even 24 hours, was very enjoyable.

This guest home, built in 1949, has some of the VERY best views of the Grand Valley!! It is also located in a very nice neighborhood that is centrally located to downtown(10 minutes) or mountain fun in any direction(45-60 min). The wood interior creates a real cabin get-away experience. The kitchen is very large for an awesome cooking experience, with views of the Book Cliffs, Mt. Garfield, and the Grand Mesa. The rooms are furnished with new mattresses for a good nights sleep. Come and ENJOY!
This home is extra clean and has many amenities. It also has a covered back porch with a sitting area, and a fire pit in the back yard (when fire ban restrictions do not apply). A great place for friends, couples, or the family to enjoy the ambience of natural wood interior along with beautiful hill-top views. Along with many toys, games and books to entertain both children and adults!
Besides being one of the very best neighborhoods in Grand Junction, for safety....... Orchard Mesa is not only beautiful, but centrally located to all of grand valley's fun activities and down town adventures !
  • The place is close to the mountains, grocery, downtown and the view is outstanding. Lots of space, a comfortable and clean retro feel with most amenities on hand. I look forward to visiting again.

A stunning Rocky Mountain view space chock full of amenities for 1 to 12 people. Families, hunters, couples, all are welcome to enjoy the indoor/outdoor private areas with their rustic southwest decor in the lower level walkout. 1.5 miles from the "last genuine cowtown" Crawford, CO, (you might see a cattle drive going through town), 1 mile from the Crawford Reservoir and 11 miles from Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Stunning views of Needle Rock and the Pitkin Range.
The Airbnb Apartment is a private apartment in the hosts house. Guests have exclusive use the the large covered patio area as well. It has a large bedroom with a California King bed and a double hide a bed sofa that would work for two children but is a typical hide a bed. The second bedroom has a two double bed. The great room has two double sized futons, that some groups have used for double sleeping but certainly work well for one, a pool table, foos ball table, 4-8 seat dining table, internet based tv and full kitchen. We have had many larger groups and welcome them but the space only has one bathroom. The kitchen has a full size fridge, double sink, stove and oven and many IKEA type amenities, cookware, microwave, slow cooker, toaster, dishes, utensils, coffee, tea, some basic condiments and spices. We have internet based television, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. We have games, baby toys, children's books and a pack n play, please let us know what you would like put in the space. Enjoy the many hiking/biking trails in the area. This area is extremely scenic and very popular with car clubs, motorcycle clubs, and bicycles as well as hikers and photographers. The hostess loves to cook and bake and likes to leave a welcoming surprise. The linens for the futons are in the closet. And we keep a few necessities in the medicine closet in case you forget something. If you are a couple and plan to share the one bedroom, you can book as 1 person and save the $10 a night but please let us know in the messages who the other person is thanks so very much.
Our place has a stunning view of Needle Rock and the Pitkin Range. We are less than a mile from Crawford Reservoir and 12 miles from the north Rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. The drive from Gunnison or Montrose over the Blue Mesa Dam and down Hwy 92 or over McClure Pass from Glenwood Springs are extraordinarily scenic!
  • The place was great! Wonderful atmosphere, excellent view. I came to Crawford to start working on my next book and I was able to get a lot done! It was quiet and relaxing. Lori and Jerry and really nice people and they were easy to communicate with.

  • Amazing place and host! Breath taking views! Spacious and clean! Lori even helped us jump our car after I left the lights on! Couldn’t have asked for a nicer host or quieter place to enjoy the Mountain View’s.

    Christopher2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • If comfort and cozy is what your looking for, this is it! Hands down the most beautiful Airbnb I’ve ever experienced. Lori gave us loads of advice and tips on how to get around Crawford. The beds were very comfortable! I came here with an injured leg and they made sure the patio was cleared of snow. 10/10 would recommend this stay.

    Courtney2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and wonderful place to be! We had a great time staying at Lori’s place. Homey, comfortable and lot things to do. Bbq grill, fire pit, sledding, beautiful view and star gazing at night. Would love to come back again! Recommended to all of you.

    Mel2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lori's place is beautiful but I should have read it closer that it was a shared rental with the owners living upstairs. No issues at all just my personal preference. She makes it very easy to find. Lots of national parks around. This place is definitely a place to go to if you want to get away from the busy city life as the town of Crawford is tiny as well as hotchkiss but hotchkiss does have a city market which makes it easy to cook at the airbnb instead of looking for places to eat every day.

  • Jenn and Jesse are wonderful hosts. The Barn is such a cozy place to stay. The view is awesome and entertaining. We loved watching the workers picking grapes and just taking in the vineyard life. We will definitely come back and visit again. Deanna and Ed

    Deanna & Ed2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a unique experience, this is your rental! This is not a 5 star hotel; it is, rather, a place where you can roam through the vineyards, eat all the grapes you can, wake up to a breathtaking view, spend your morning talking to the sheep and your evening creating a dinner feast using the bounty from the on site garden. We were there for three nights and all we bought was the protein for our dinners. We harvested red and yellow chard, carrots, turnips, basil, lavender, pears, grapes, spaghetti squash and green beans. We made salads and sides and drank wine from the vineyard right next door, that uses grapes from our host's vineyard. Don't expect luxury or a dishwasher or a giant screen TV...expect a real "unplugged" experience. Take the time to enjoy the property. Visit the local wineries, the town of Palisade; and seek out your hosts, Jenn and Jesse...they are amazing people! If you have time, put the Colorado National Monument on your "to do" list...it's breathtaking!!!

  • Its a quaint little suite with a good sized kitchen. The decorating makes it feel very homey. The dining table was small so there's not much room for a large meal, but other than that there was plenty of space for us three guys, so it would fit a family of 4 comfortably as well!

    Dustin2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

  • We loved our stay! The place was clean and cozy. We had no trouble finding it with the directions provided and check in was a breeze. Heidi was very helpful and responsive to my questions. The light from the alleyway does shine into the bedrooms through the blinds, but I brought an eye mask so it didn’t bother me. We’d absolutely stay again next time we’re in the area.

One single bed in the sunroom in my home. Close to downtown, Colorado Mesa University and Stocker Stadium. Shared bath. Must be tolerant of pets-cats and dogs. Happy household that feels like home.
Quiet room with desk and own entrance. Shared bathroom with host. You can use the kitchen and I provide coffee and tea.
The neighborhood is quiet, typical of downtown with older cute homes. It's about a 10-15 minute walk downtown for restaurants, farmer's markets or festivals. It's close to walk to Lincoln Park for golfing, playing with kids, baseball games, or festivals. I know all my neighbor's and love living here.
  • Comfortable stay, welcoming host.

  • Stephanie is a really kind and accommodating host and it was such a great stay in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood in Grand Junction. Lots of friendly furry friends and clean bedding and towels ready to go, everything was taken care of! My stay was a short single night before heading to camp in Colorado National Monument, but Stephanie was very flexible and easy-going and I wish I had stayed longer as Grand Junction has more to offer than I initially thought. Bookmarked for a future return, thanks, Stephanie!

  • My husband and I stayed here for three nights. It was just what we were looking for -- walking distance to town, budget-friendly. You do need to be comfortable climbing a ladder to reach the loft bed. Also, the kitchen is very small and basic -- you probably wouldn't want to attempt to cook an elaborate meal here. But it's fine for sandwiches, etc. The A/C worked well and the backyard was shady and peaceful.

    Nicole2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage is a converted garage type structure that has everything you'd need for a short stay! My husband and I came to Grand Junction to get away for just a couple days before we have our first child here in a couple weeks. It was exactly what we needed. It was secluded and if you park in the alley it's an easier trip to the door. Windows abound in the place so there's a lot of natural light during the day! The window unit kept everything nice and cool despite the 100+ temps outside. The kitchen was very nice and the coffee, breakfast bars, creamer, eggs and butter were really nice extra touches that made us feel very welcome! Stephanie and Gene were incredibly responsive when we needed anything. The shower was a bit small for my husband (he's 6'3 and broad shouldered) but that's a normal thing for him. Also, the loft bed can be a bit difficult to get up at first as the mattress juts over the edge several inches though so the ladder is underneath it. Overall great stay, would totally recommend!!

    Erica2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie and Gene were excellent hosts, and we loved this location. Gene was nearby to help us with our check-in and to give us a general tour of the place. The cottage itself was perfect—comfortable, quiet, and secluded. As our visit was in the middle of June, something that quickly became notable was the highly effective air conditioner unit—it kept the place really cool, which was absolutely heavenly to come back to. Stephanie and Gene are also very attentive to little things, providing linens and plenty of towels beforehand, and leaving granola bars and filtered water for the first day. We had a situation which necessitated adding another day onto our reservation at the very last minute, and Stephanie was not only in quick communication, but was very helpful, understanding, and flexible. The geographical location itself was perfect—downtown was within a ten minute walk through beautiful tree-lined streets, and everything else was within a ten minute drive. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, as well. And I don't know how they manage it, but every single person we interacted with in Grand Junction was incredibly pleasant and kind. We would definitely stay here again!

Built in 2017, this new 700-square foot guesthouse offers a beautiful home away from home, centrally located in the heart of Grand Junction. Just blocks from CMU, Stocker Stadium, Suplizo Field, and less than a mile from downtown. Guests will find a well-appointed guesthouse, stocked with complimentary coffee and tea, organic cream, snacks, and organic apples. We offer convenient off-street parking (one vehicle) at no additional cost and cleaning fees are always included in your nightly rate.
Fully remodeled and furnished in 2017. One bedroom with a queen-size bed, one spacious bathroom, a large, well-appointed kitchen with new appliances, and laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. Sofa sleeper in the living room folds out to a queen-size bed with an upgraded, memory foam mattress. Dining room seats 4, with additional seating for 2 at the kitchen peninsula. The Guesthouse was built in 1930 and was the original house on this property. In 2016, construction began: the guesthouse was taken down to just three walls and the concrete slab. From there, it was rebuilt into what it is now. At the same time, the Craftsman-style main house was constructed on the north side of the property. Only modern in age, the home's construction was intent on complimenting the integrity of the existing historic neighborhood. The Guesthouse is only accessible through the shared space of our gated backyard and driveway. Due to this, guest's animals cannot be safely accommodated.
The historic Washington Park neighborhood is a collection of beautiful homes and parks, centrally located in the heart of Grand Junction. Just a couple blocks south of Colorado Mesa University, Stocker Stadium, Suplizo Field, and less than a mile from downtown, guests can easily experience what our great city has to offer. Walk to several parks/playgrounds situated off of Gunnison Avenue. Cross the street to adjacent Lincoln Park, which has a public golf course, public pool and water slide, newly constructed playground, and winding sidewalks throughout. Walk to the beautiful CMU campus or to Stocker Stadium/Suplizio Field to catch CMU, GJ Rockies, and JUCO games. Shop and eat local downtown: Rood Avenue, Main Street, and Colorado Avenue are home to some of our best locally-owned restaurants and storefronts, and are all less than a mile from the Guesthouse.

  • Lovely guest house! All of the special touches around the home were perfect. I enjoyed the little notes. This place was 5star clean, decor, little touches , great lighting , comfortable bed , very large bathroom and kitchen space. Fast WiFi, DVD player and smart TV. The private entrance was easy to park in. The hens were so adorable to see around the yard. It located in quiet neighborhood. The strict no pet rule was an absolute Aplus that was reassuring there was zero pet smells or pet hair that’s very important when I’m finding an AirBnB. Five star 5 beautiful guest home.

    Bebe2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • i could go ON AND ON about how perfect this air bnb is but just read all the positive reviews for yourself! lol..rachel seriously made it feel like it’s your own apt inside and left NOTHING forgotten! also, after our 7 hour drive it was SO AMAZING to be able to do my stretches on a clean comfy carpet once i moved the table from in front of the couch. IT WAS PERFECT! we arrived so late at almost 9pm and finding it/parking/getting inside was a BREEZE. the chickens walking around the backyard made my morning by the way..hehe ;) thank you rachel, your place rocks!

  • Dana was super friendly + responded quickly, he recommended where to grab a brew in town and made us feel at home, great lil stay! Loved the penman poster.

    Virginia2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Dana was an amazing host from the beginning of my stay until I left. It was enjoyable talking about travel, getting to see his beautiful Australian Shepard and having a home prepared breakfast. When in town I highly recommend staying here! The place is in a nice quiet neighborhood, clean and thoughtful touches in the room.

    Tracy2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. Very clean. Very accommodating. Very sweet dog. We left a pillow and he was kind enough to catch us before we left the area. Will stay with Dana again when we are in the area.

    Tia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Dana was welcoming, his home is clean and he gave excellent recommendations for things to do around town. I stopped in Fruita just for the night, but I would definitely recommend Dana’s place to anyone even if only for a night.

    Rachel2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience using an Airbnb and we couldn’t have asked for a better host! Dana answered my messages promptly. He made us feel extremely welcome in his home and even cooked us breakfast our last morning there! We would highly recommend Dana’s and will definitely book with him when we visit Fruita again!!

    Victoria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time to stay with Dana and it was perfect yet again! Highly recommend staying here and we will for sure be back next time we’re in GJ.

    Jordon2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Dana's place is absolutely the best value, with the kindest host. Dana went out of his way to make my trip easy and enjoyable. I'm sure he could connect with anyone, but as we visited during my stay I felt I had found an old friend. I highly recommend Dana's place to any potential guests- but not during the dates I want to return to Fruita!

1100 Sq ft Downtown lock off basement apartment. This great apartment is only a 5 min walk to downtown/college and stadium. 5 min drive to St. Mary's or 10 min bike. Full kitchen and washer/dryer in apartment. Smart tv with Netflix, Hulu and cable. Private entrance. Brand new kitchen! Plenty of Space for sure.
This space has its own entrance on the east side of our house. You will find the apartment to have plenty of space (enough to park those expensive mountain bikes inside if you prefer). Located in a neighborhood of Victorian homes with large trees. Kitchen is brand new and ready for you to cook in. Being on the lower level, means it stays exceptionally cool during the hot summer months. Feel free to bring your little ones.
Close to downtown, swimming pool, trampoline park, Rockies and Juco stadium, Mesa State university, nice bars and restaurants. All walking distance.
  • We loved the location! It's in a cute neighborhood and just a quick walk to downtown. The house is decorated very cute, which made it feel cozy, and the lighting was impressive for a basement space. It was super convenient having a full kitchen to cook dinner one night during our stay. Adam was very communicative and provided us with the information we needed for a smooth check-in. Thanks so much!

  • Second stay here for me. Great space. Great location. Comfortable bed. Great local tips. Just be careful if you are close to 6 ft as the ceiling is low in some areas. I’m only 5 ft so it wasn’t an issue for me!

  • Cody & Cayla were quick to respond and super accommodating. Their place was really clean, one of the cleanest I’ve stayed at. Bed was comfy and place was stylish. Location was perfect as we wanted to be close to CMU. Liked that we had underground, gated parking. Outside building needs some updating but inside has been newly done.

  • This was probably the best value we've had staying in the Valley (out of 8+ times). Very affordable, clean, great location to drive anywhere we needed and a huge kitchen (big plus, since a big reason we don't stay in hotels on these trips is to cook as a group).

  • A great place to stay in Palisades with a unique touch! We really enjoyed the animals on the farm, and the location was unbeatable. It’s very close to the wineries and downtown Grand Junction. I’d absolutely stay here again!

    Jessica2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just amazing! Located in a beautiful area, populated with cats, dogs, pigs, goats and alpacas (there was even a baby!). All of them were very friendly and loved attention. The stay was comfortable, communication and checkin went smoothly. Got a tip to hike mount Garfield nearby, quite a climb but breathtaking views. Very much recommended!

One bedroom with a double bed that can accommodate 2 people in my home. Close to downtown, Colorado Mesa University and Stoker Stadium. Shared bath with the host. Must be tolerant of pets-cats and dogs. Happy, cozy home with host.
I am in a nice central location. I can accommodate 2 people in a double bed. I can also accommodate your small child or infant in this room. I will provide a pad on the floor for a child if you would like. I do accommodate well behaved pets. I have a lab-greyhound mix dog who is very friendly and loves everyone and other dogs. I have a long haired cat who will allow you to pet her about 3 times. Then she will probably leave you alone. You are welcome to bring a pet, my backyard is fenced but a small dog could wiggle under the gates. You can have a cat but it needs to be kept shut into the room, my cat doesn't like other cats. My chickens run free in the backyard.
Quiet neighborhood. Close to downtown activities, CMU and Stocker Stadium, the hospital and the airport.
  • Stephanie is an amazing human with a warm, comfortable home. She was so welcoming and the location could not have been better. It is so close to downtown, shopping, and great food. She knows all about the town, and made our stay so fun. I can't give her enough stars!!

    Monique2020-03-04T00:00:00Z

  • I couldn't recommend this place more. It is so beautiful. Like a botanical garden. Stephanie was an excellent host and directed me to a great local place in my very short and extremely sweet stay. Pretty much everything you need is here as far as personal hygiene items and amenities. Checkout time was relaxed which was much appreciated.

  • Wonderful place to stay!

    John2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie is by far the best host I have had in my years of using Airbnb. She went above and beyond with the hospitality. The house itself is very beautiful and homely. I have been in Airbnbs that are simply a tiny room with the basic Ikea bed. This is the opposite, an actual welcoming home. And the bed itself is the most comfortable one you will ever sleep in.
