Very nice house close to all the shops (10 minutes by car) but a lot of nature around you. We saw two deer! Great BBQ and fire pit ouside. And very nice welcome with milk in the fridge, fruit and donuts. And the kitchen is perfect with everything you need to make your own meal.

As advertised, very cute cabin in the country. If you want to get away and off the grid this a great option. It has all the things you need in the kitchen and rest of the house. My fiancee gets cold very easily however the heating worked great and we even had to turn it down since it did so well. Overall great experience and would surely recommend it.

GREAT time...Totally relaxed atmosphere. We LOVED having no wifi or reception. We were able to "enjoy" our grandchildren. We played card games and watched an old movie (DVD), had a fire in the fire pit, and watched the lightening bugs at dusk. It's close to Chattanooga where we spent our days riding Segways, DUCK tours, aquariums, and walking over the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge (Tennessee River). Kathleen gave us some GREAT ideas for nearby nature hikes and waterfalls. This was our first AIRBNB experience and I'm so VERY thankful because we TRULY enjoyed it. We enjoyed "city life" during the day with our grandchildren, BUT coming back to quiet, secluded country livin' at the end of the day was a PLUS....

From the very moment we walked into the cabin until we left days later, we felt at home! Kathleen was a fantastic host, very informative of the local area and provided a warm welcome. If you would like some peace and quiet while getting away from the fast pace of life, this is your place. The late afternoon walks down the beautiful country road along a stream were definitely highlights of our trip. I would like to go back just to read the great book collection she has.

Had a fantastic time at Kathleen and Dennis's cabin! The sound of the creek running behind the cabin was soothing and the scenery was breathtaking. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and Kathleen was a wonderful host, making sure we had everything we needed right down to the comfort of Max (my boxer dog). We enjoyed long walks seeing wild turkeys and deer. We would recommend their cabin for anyone wanting to enjoy the peace and quite of no phones or internet and the beauty of God's creation.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is peaceful and relaxing yet you can get into town to eat if you want. We also visited Ruby Falls and it wasn't that far away either. We appreciated the little extras that were provided. We also enjoyed sitting around the fire pit roasting marshmallows and hearing the night sounds and the creek. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful crafted cabin in a quiet location with a wonderful view. The cabin was well-stocked, the fire pit was ready to go, and the hot tub was amazing. We rented the house to stay in while we were at The National Cornbread Festival. Wanda was a wonderful hose and the home was so inviting and relaxing. The master bed is soon comfortable we didn't want to leave. This area is peaceful and quiet and it isn't too far from Chattanooga or many other areas. We are very thankful to have found this home away from home.

This home is situated in a very serene and beautiful mountain top and river view location. Michael was super helpful and met all of our needs. If you read a previous review on the dining chairs those were repaired or replaced prior to our visit because we had no issue there. The loft with the king bed does have wide openings in the railing that were a safety concern for our littlest kiddo but if you keep them off the stairs it shouldn't be a problem. Perhaps bring a baby gate? We enjoyed the sunroom and was able to feed a turtle that happened by while we hung out in there. The amenities are not super modern (except for the amazing washer and dryer!) but it is everything a family needs for a great vacation! We comfortably fit 6 adults and 2 children and prepared meals for all of us for a 4 night stay. I wish there was a shower in the half bath as the couple who stayed in the loft had to go into one of the other bathrooms to shower but if you work out a schedule it is a minor flaw.

Michael was extremely easy to communicate with- questions/concerns quickly answered and addressed. This cabin was booked for my family who would be attending my stepdaughter's wedding in downtown Chattanooga. It was the perfect size and accommodated our group really well. We did bring an extra blow up mattress, which we used, as the pull out couch was not very comfortable to sleep on ( we did know ahead of time, however, that this might be the case). Our bed in the master was extremely comfortable and everyone else stated that the beds in the rest of the rooms were comfortable as well. It was extremely convenient and easy to get to all the sightseeing spots that we were interested in, such as Ruby Falls, Incline Railway, Raccoon Mountain, downtown Chattanooga, Rock City. The cabin was just as it was advertised and we would definitely go back- next time to relax a little bit more. I'm disappointed that our time there was so busy that I didn't get to enjoy more time on the front porch enjoying the scenery while reading a book!

Small family get together: 6 adults, 3 kids. Overall we had a good stay. The rental was family friendly with a gated from porch that was perfect for (well-supervised) toddlers while the adults could enjoy the view of the River. The one downfall on the porch was several wasps nests, even after be purchased wasp spray and treated all visible hives, the wasp re-appeared (and yes I appreciate that we are in the mountains, but there were two rather large active hives near the main entry way). The master bedroom was spacious and modern with a lovely 2 person soaking tub and very comfortable mattress and bedding. The main floor queen bed is raised relatively high on a storage frame, with a full bath. The loft attached to the queen guestroom houses bunk beds, and was warm and stuffy on arrival, but has an independent window AC unit. The loft king bedroom was a bit warm in the afternoon but cool enough by evening and the bed was comfortable. BEWARE of the loft stairs, they're notably steep, and at the top the rail slats are far enough apart I would be concerned for a child to stay up there unattended. The couch in the common area was great for napping, and we spent most of our family time enjoying the quaint Florida room (that does need a little dusting). The Florida room allowed us to enjoy watching a few raccoons at night and turtle in the morning. The 6 person dining table was perfect for meals, but watch for one or two chairs that have a screw coming through the padding/leather and will scratch you. The kitchen was the only real disappointing part. Many of the applicances left a lot to be desired. Two of the stove units did not function, the fridge didn't not close all the way unless forced, and the light above the stove was very temperamental. The coffee pot is not programmable/auto off, so remember to turn it off! (There was a Keurig too, but not economical with 6 adults.) There was ample silverware and table settings. Michael was quick to respond and inviting, offering suggestions of walking/ hiking paths and picking peaches on a property tree. I was turned off by a few of the 'house rules' including stripping the beds of linen/towels into the laundry room prior to leaving. Also rules included keeping the house at 77 in the summer. I understand the concern for the AC unit not to freeze, but I think 72-74 would be reasonable. Overall it was a great choice of rental and we would consider staying there again.

Great lake/mountain cottage with a central location that's about 20 min from all the attractions like Rock City, Ruby Falls, etc. We only heard one car our entire stay but saw tons of eagles, buzzards, and hummingbirds. It is the best of both worlds and the porch is perfect for drinks with family or friends. Be sure to check out Riverside Catfish House just up the road for a a hole-in-the-wall fish house dinner (open Th-Su only).

If you are planning on hunkering down and staying in 1 place for vacation, this could be a good fit. For the price, it could use some updates to make it more enjoyable including an outside grill, functional dvd players, an a/c unit in the loft bedroom and some DEEP cleaning. Several aspects of the house were not clean (kitchen and baths especially) We did have to do some cleaning and we found mold in the master Jacuzzi/shower. We did not feel clean, even after we showered. There were also several clumps of cob webs that had not been attended to in a long while. We did find that the return air filter was a few months beyond its useful lifespan. Without an ac unit, the loft bedroom is uncomfortably warm at night with no air to circulate, especially if you keep the ac at 77, as requested by the owner. As noted by other reviewers, the balusters on the loft bedroom stairs are far too wide to be comfortable with small children. Both stairwells are steep, even for the able bodied. The same can be said for the stacked bunkbeds in the other upstairs bedroom, which are perched a mere 4ft or so from the downward stairs to the first floor. It's also worth mentioning the exhaust pipe for the hot water heater, which carries hot gases out of the home, travels unprotected through the same bedroom. The grounds too, which look well kept in the photos, are in dire need of weeding, pruning and general upkeep. We did love visiting Chattanooga and all of the activities that it has to offer.

Very comfortable house in a secluded area near lake, fishing, scenic parks. Home was clean, comfortable, and roomy. Two lofts plus two bedrooms, plus a Florida room made sleeping arrangements easy. Living area had flat screen TV and DishNetwork programming. Ample couches, tables, etc for our group of 10. WiFi was spectacular and allowed for connectivity as needed through the week. Home sits against a hill. The property is beautiful and the Florida rooms backs up to the woods...nice and private. Wrap around porch has great view of the lake. There is great area for parking etc, so certainly a nice airbnb location. There is also video surveillance of the entry and parking area. One thing you should keep in mind when visiting is that this is a mountain location. General area is hilly and roads are similar. The McBrien road is steep, narrow, etc so don't he surprised by that when you arrive. During a 4 night stay, we only encountered another vehicle once. Overall, host was thoughtful and responsive. The location is a diamond and we could consider it it the future.

Great weekend getaway. Very secluded and relaxing. Billy made himself available to us at all hours. I know others have said the same thing, but despite being just next door I did not feel like he was intrusive in anyway whatsoever. Very accommodating of our every request. We drove in to Chattanooga both days we were there. It is about a 35-40 minute drive down long windy roads, but we knew this going in based on the location of the cabin. Billy provides firewood, canoes, and kayaks. Overall, great stay and I would recommend to anyone looking at this location.

The view of the river was really nice. The place is very clean. Everything is new. The Jacuzzi tub was probably one of my favorite things, and my fiance's. We had an amazing time here! My boyfriend and I booked the cabin as soon as we saw the pictures, but the true beauty is only something you can experience in person. The cabin sits on a small island surrounded by mountains and it's so cozy, quiet, and beautiful; a perfect getaway. Our host Billy was awesome, he made us feel right at home and gave so many activities for us to try. He took us on a boat tour down the Tennessee River, and we tried out a canoe for the first time as well. We also tried a hand in fishing, and caught a huge catfish (about 8-10lbs)! Billy was very responsive to anything we needed, and truly made this a memorable trip!

We had a great time here. We were only here for one night, celebrating my wife's birthday. The cabin was very clean and great place to stay after our day of caving. We also loved that we got to use his kayaks. We did have an issue finding the place. But after calling Charles, he guided us without any problems. Charles is very nice and we would stay here again.

We had a perfect weekend away at the cabin! Charles was such a kind host, we could not ask for more. His directions and flexibility made finding the cabin very easy, and he was available all weekend! My son and I had a great time staying at this lovely cabin. Chuck was great - he set us up with a canoe and fishing supplies. We made great use of the kitchen and the grill. It's very secluded, so if that's what you're looking for, this place is perfect. My son very much enjoyed it, and Chuck had plenty of suggestions of places to see around the cabin. All in all, an excellent couple of days.

Margy's cottage is phenomenal - comfortable, quiet, beautiful view. It's well equipped for cooking, very clean, and well maintained. My wife and I had a wonderful few nights there and will absolutely look to return when we want to get away for a few days. We stayed over 4th of July weekend, and Margy helpfully clued us in on the great festivities in Sewanee, which we would have otherwise not checked out. Margy is a great communicator and made everything very easy and welcoming!

We love Margy's place. We were here last fall and couldn't wait to return. The place is beautiful, quiet and very well equipped. Margy is an excellent host. We visit the area at least once a year and hope to stay here again.

This little cabin in the woods was perfect! It was very clean, tastefully decorated, and we all slept wonderfully. We were close enough to shops, restaurants and hiking but we're also able to enjoy being off the grid in our delightful cabin. The view was perfect to gaze out while we sipped our coffee in the morning. The deck is very large and comfortable. We would definitely go back!

My husband and I stayed at Margy's cottage for a three day weekend. It was a perfect getaway! I can't think of a thing the cottage did not have, that we hoped for. Idyllic views and a lovely home! Great kitchen & supplies for cooking. If you even want to go, It's an easy beautiful drive to Sewanee for restaurants, touring University of the South & St Mary's.

Perfect location along the TN River Gorge! It was so quiet out on the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the dock for the weekend. We brought our boat and tied up to the dock. Also did some stand up paddle boarding and the conditions were perfect. The house was great for the long weekend that we stayed. The hike up from the dock will def get you in shape. Would recommend this house for anyone looking for a nice getaway!

The cabin had a beautiful view, and mostly the interior was nice. Altogether we were a bit disappointed. The bathroom was a bit dingy feeling. Not dirty, just dark and uninteresting. Most frustrating the heat seemed to be broken. Unless we were cooking and had a fire going we couldn't get the cabin above 50°. 65° at the warmest while we were there. Internet was apparently out. Though we were told it was being fixed. Hot tub was warm. Not hot.

We enjoyed staying at Kenny's cabin. Great location and great view. Very secluded location with a nice gated entry. All of the cabins are very well thought out. Each offers a unique setting. We stayed in the Elk Ridge cabin. Took about 30 mins to get to Chattanooga for a fun day trip. Kenny keeps loads of dry firewood in several locations for easy access. All around great stay and about 2 hours and 15 mins from the Birmingham area. Highly recommend!

Remote, serene, rustic. Exactly what we were looking for. It's like camping with AC and utilities. Was the perfect vacation. Host was great! Lives in the area so easy to ask questions/directions but respectful of your personal space/privacy. There is a small boat and kayaks for rent, that really made our vacation perfect. You can also jump right of the pier, perfect for swimming. A few things you need to know. Bring food for basically all meals, but it has to fit in a mini fridge, there was plenty of room for what we brought. The grocery store is not close by. There is a grill and all kitchen supplies needed. The listing says fits 4, in my opinion only 3. We brought our atv on a tailor for the nearby at park, there was plenty of parking space.

Our stay at Rivers Ledge was AMAZING!!! The views from the cabin were breathtaking and the cabin itself was beautiful. Very modern yet rustic and exteeemly well maintsined. It was a very relaxing time for us just taking in all the natural beauty. I would recommend a larger cooking pot and larger frying pan since this cabin accommodates 8 people. We will defenitly come back and tell our friends and family about the gem we found at Paradise Pointe.
