Great cottage in a great location! Full of character, much like the surroundings!

Lovely little place for you to rest and relax in an ideal location that is close to everything. Pubs, shops, groceries etc. The snug has everything you would need to enjoy your stay, peaceful and quiet and a roaring open fire to keep you warm at the end of a long walk!

Fantastic cozy place to stay in Hawes. A few seconds walk from local amenities and a lovely place to stay. I would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage in a great location in the Dales. Well presented and stylish. It os cosy but well proportioned. The window seat in the kitchen is a great place to have a coffee amd watch rabbits outside. The cottage is conveniently located with numerous options to eat and drink within a few minutes walk. A great place to stay.

Beautiful home in a lovely setting in the heart of the dales. Lovely stay. Only slight issue is that check in is quite late (4pm) - which meant we had to stay out and about until then. Aside from this, perfect.

I can not rave about this place enough. The cottage is perfect, we ate at the pub at the bottom of the hill most nights. Then went back to the cottage and relaxed in front of the fire. We have a fiesta and were able to park the car in front of the bench on the hill. If you have a big car I would recommend unpacking on the main road as the hill is STEEP! Thankyou for an amazing stay :)

Perfect cottage, lots of space in an amazing location.

A great property for exploring the local walks, shops and restaurants. All rooms were a good size with the kitchen well layed out and perfectly usable for cooking meals. Parking is not a problem if you are happy to use the nearby National Parks carpark (£15 for the week) after unloading. We were very happy with the property.

Lovely house and Hawes is a fantastic base to explore the Yorkshire Dales, fantastic cafes and pubs are all in walking distance and the locals couldn’t be more friendly. The log fire and comfy beds provided the perfect place to stay after days exploring local waterfalls, visiting the village playground and eating copious amounts of cheese at the Wensleydale creamery round the corner. A great place to visit any time of the year!

Amy's place is very nice and cosy. The room is spacious and nicely decorated. The house is easy to find and in a great location in the heart of Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is a perfect place to be based in for numerous walks in the area. Would highly recommend staying there! :)

Perfect location in the heart of Hawes. No frills accommodation but clean and well maintained. Great value and ideal for walkers wanting to explore the Dales. Don't go on the post code on the 'Directions' link as you'd up down a cul-de-sac away across the road from the property.

Small but great location and all amenities needed for a couple. Had a lovely 3 nights here with some great walks and ate in each night.

A cute studio flat

This little annex was great for a short stay in Hawes. It had everything we needed, was clean and tidy and the bed was super comfortable. The annex is in the centre of Hawes with lots of walks on the doorstep. If you stay be sure to visit the cheese factory, so many tasters!

A beautiful cottage perfect for a family of 4. Photos don’t do the cottage justice as it was bigger than expected. Lovely finishing touches with wine, chocolates and cake on arrival. Beautiful village and perfectly situated. Highly recommend!

The space is generous and comfortable. When we arrived,. there were problems with the hot water, but Lindsey responded within an hour, made sure we got a hot shower that night, and fixed the boiler by the next morning. Couldn't be faster- and all with a friendly smile! We certainly recommend, and will happily return to visit:)

Gayle Beck Gallery is a really lovely place to stay. Very central, easy to park nearby, comfortable beds and very clean. The shower is hot and the kitchen is really well stocked. I would definitely recommend it :0)

We had a lovely weekend in Nutkin cottage - amazing location for a peaceful get away and very comfortable. Sarah was a great host and made us feel very welcome. A particular highlight was watching the starling murmuration over the house one evening - spectacular! The fresh farm eggs were great too!

Nutkin cottage is a beautiful place to stay, we had a lovely weekend in Hawes. Location is perfect, cottage is exactly as described and even more stunning in real life. This is a superb cottage in a brilliant location. Hawes is an easy walk away (even in snow!) and we had an excellent lunch in the nearby Wensleydale Creamery. Alyson and Andrew have made sure you have everything you could possibly need, and it was wonderful to arrive to cake and tea and a roaring fire after our long drive. It was a wrench to leave and we’d love to come back again.

This is a terrific hideaway set in beautiful countryside. Walks across the stunning Dales from your doorstep, anyone looking for a break from city life will love it here. The working fireplace makes the barn cosy in the evenings and the shower is amazing after a long walk! Terri was a super host, quick to respond and even left us fresh eggs and homemade bread when we arrived. Would definitely recommend the 2 mile walk across the fields to the local pub the Rose and Crown for a true Yorkshire experience!

Beautiful barn, fabulous location and amazing host! The views are incredible, you truly do feel away from it all and so peacefully relaxing. The barn is gorgeous, we really enjoyed the snooker table and having a glass of wine in front of the roaring fire. Terri was a fantastic host, very accommodating and quick to reply. The homemade bread, fresh eggs and milk were a very sweet and welcoming gesture. Can’t wait to be back in summer, loved this place! Great location for walking with the dogs. This is a real gem in the most beautiful corner of Wensleydale. Great host. Great welcome. Great stay. If you want to escape to the countryside, this place will be hard to beat.

What a lovely place for some respite from the Christmas festivities. The accommodation was beautiful and in such a striking part of Yorkshire which is great for R&R and walking. Good advice given by Terri on walking , things the do and places to eat. Terri was a great host and nothing was too much trouble for her, her kind personality shone through which made our stay away from home even better. The bread, eggs and milk are a great touch that was appreciated by ourselves and the cosy fire was just what was needed after a days walking, our dog appreciated the heat also !! Thanks again and we wouldn’t hesitate to book next time we visit Yorkshire, it was like a home from home .

Ow do? The Owl Barn is an outstanding place to stay, to unwind completely, and in my case, to also produce some original writing... which was very easy since the property is located in the most amazing, and peaceful Yorkshire Dales countryside. It snowed in the late afternoon when I arrived at the property. As soon as I unpacked my things I had to have the first of many walks from the Owl Barn, even though the Dales were darkening under the heavy snow shower, with night falling around me. There were large snowflakes floating past me as I tramped through the mud, but the landscape scenes around me at twilight were to die for - absolutely breathtaking and memorable! Which also describes Terri, the owner - not breathtaking, but memorable! Her welcome makes you feel you've known her for years, and she will do everything to make sure your stay is magical. You will devour the loaf of bread and her own hens' eggs she leaves you - they are absolutely delicious! Basically, what I am asking you to do... is definitely stay there! Enjoy the properties unique atmosphere, Terri's outstanding welcome, and have a wonderful, unforgettable time in the Yorkshire Dales. Peter

Jake’s Place is a lovely comfortable base for exploring the local countryside and hills. Perfect base for walking with many walks including up Great Shunner Fell from the doorstep. Cosy but plenty of room for two people. The facilities are everything you could want. Highly recommended,

Jake's Place is a comfortable cottage about a mile from Hawes. The property listing is very accurate, and the cottage is comfortable and spacious enough for two, with everything needed for either a short or long stay. Highly recommended.

Fab house, perfect location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales right from the house. Paul was really helpful, popped to see us on arrival to check all ok and told us not to rush on day of leaving as we had 6 inches of snow overnight. We really appreciated the late check out as it gave us longer for our stay. Would highly recommend Holme View, lovely house, lovely location.

Nice three-storey private house in a small courtyard in the middle of a town with plenty of pubs and coffee shops (and an eco-shop). Everything in the house was easy to find and easy to work. Bathroom has a heated towel rail. Clear arrival instructions and the lights (and heating) were on when we arrived - very welcoming after a long journey!

This is a great place to stay in the middle of Hawes. It’s well-equipped and a great location, with shops, pubs etc right on the doorstep. We stayed for a week with 10 month old twins and Paul couldn’t have been more helpful to get things set up for us, with great communication.

Clean and comfortable accommodation with all the facilities you need as a base to explore the Dales. Its in a great location with access to the shops and a great range of pubs offering food. If you are wanting to eat out I would recommend you book as the better establishments get filled up quickly. We ate at The Crown, which was great and we were also recommended the White Hart Inn just around the corner.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Shepherd's Hut. Zena & Nick have created such a lovely and welcoming space in their hut which ticks many boxes. The addition of the stunning scenes and wildlife made our stay even more enjoyable. The hut was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

A beautiful peaceful spot. It offers a place to relax and simply enjoying being. The wildlife is fantastic and there is the opportunity to walk in beautiful countryside. Zena and Nick are great hosts - good clear communication before hand and really helpful on arrival. Everything you need is in the hut. Thoroughly recommend a stay.

Excellent stay all round, everything and more, worth penny!

Zena and Nick were super nice and kind. We had no trouble finding the place despite using public transport only. The place looks exactly like in the picture. During our stay, we had a chance to see the red squirrel every morning from the Hut. It was our first experience staying in the Hut and it was memorable.

Zena and Nick's place is beautiful. The Shephard's Hut is designed beautifully in natural colours and feels so homey. The hut is located in a woodland, which is stunning and, when we visited, full of vibrant Autumnal colours. There is unforutnately no stove or oven, but the hut does have a toaster and microwave to heat food with. We felt very welcome at Nick and Zena's place, and would love to return in the future.

Very super place. Wonderful setting. We saw squirrel, pheasant, birds. Close to nature and peaceful. You can walk to the village next to it, where there is a shop and cafe. Zena and Nick were kind and helpful.

We stayed in the property in early March. Everything we needed was present for our short stay, which we very much enjoyed, despite the weather. Great walks on your doorstep in the small village of Burtersett, with Hawes only being a short drive. We enjoyed the recommendation to visit the White Hart pub, which we enjoyed. The cottage was just like the photos and as described. It was a great little cottage to spend a bitterly cold weekend in the Dales! The log burner was a brilliant addition and it was very cosy.

We had such a great time. Would really recommend Pamela’s cottage.

The cottage was exactly as described and even more spacious than the pictures suggested. Although there are no amenities in Burtersett itself, Hawes is a 5 minute drive or 15/20 minute walk away and has everything you need. The facilities in the cottage were excellent and we cooked both dinner and two cooked breakfasts with no problems at all. Everything was sparkling clean and very cosy. We will definitely consider Pamelas house again in the future!

Well presented property, everything you could need is provided. Pamela is extremely quick to answer questions and Hawes is a lovely place to spend a weekend.

After a delightful 3 night stay we cannot recommend this lovely cottage too much!! It is very clean, spacious, warm, comfortable and has everything you possibly need to make your stay enjoyable. We just loved the log burner stove, the big bath and shower a bonus!! The added touches provided by Simon and Lindsay to provide milk, cake and logs/coal for the fire are most welcome!! overall a great base to explore the villages of Hawes and Askrigg.....just fantastic that you can see the local pub from the front window!! without hesitation we will definitely be back in the future? Lovely warm welcoming people with a brilliant cosy hut. Had everything we needed for a night peaceful cosy night break away. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a little break. Nice fresh produce for breakfast the morning after.

The Hut In The Wood is an amazing little space to stay in to escape for a few days. It is beautifully presented and Melanie is the perfect host. There are some lovely little touches, and would highly recommend a breakfast (we had the cold option). We felt instantly welcome and the hit was already toastie warm from the log burner, which was welcome given the cold outside! What a beautiful haven of calm this place is. Tucked away and private, surrounded by nature with bird song all around and wonderful views. It was tempting to stay in the hut for the whole weekend, we highly recommend this place. Mel and Stephen are warm and welcoming and were available if needed while allowing us privacy to enjoy our stay. Great breakfast, comfy bed and lots of lovely unexpected touches :)

Anna's place is a small cosy cottage in a tiny hamlet in the beautiful Yorkshire dales. The place is perfect for 2 and has everything you need. It's a 5 minute drive from wensleydale where you can go for some beautiful walks and visit the creamery. I'd highly recommend the green dragon pub next to the waterfall in Hardraw

The cottage is beautiful and has everything we could’ve needed. Anna’s visitor book has so many suggestions of things to do nearby and further away. The location is in a quiet area and very close to some fantastic views. We loved our stay and would highly recommend for those looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway!

Cozy cottage with centuries of fascinating history and a great log burner. It is extreemly quiet and tranquil but not too far to drive to Hawes - a town where we found everyone we met to be friendly.

Beebole Cottage was everything we were hoping for and more. it was a little safe and comfortable haven, even when storm Ciara arrived. The living room is small but perfect and cosy and the log fire was such a treat. The kitchen is super well equipped and the bedroom is lovely with an excellent bed and mattress. It was so quiet as its on the ground floor so we couldn't even hear the rain. It's a beautiful location, a few minutes walk from Lake Semerwater and 10 minutes drive from Hawes. Anna was very reactive and answered us so quickly and helped us during the storm on Sunday. We were so grateful that Anna was so considerate and offered for us to stay over when the weather was dangerous. what a perfect host!

Beebole Cottage is a wonderful couples’ hide-away in a particularly stunning area of England. It’s a great base for going walking - we loved going on the walks suggested in the books provided in the cottage - and also a great place to nest and relax with books, by the fire. The cottage had everything that we could possibly need too, making it the perfect accommodation for a mini-break for two!

We loved out stay here. Great location for many walks. Hawes is only a short walk across the farmers fields and the path is clearly marked (be sure to take a torch for the evenings). The pictures don’t do the house justice, much bigger than I expected. Would stay again

An excellent little place to stay, Bainbridge is a very good start for many wonderful hikes, and very easy access to these walks. You can forget your car, the cottage is very quiet, the bedroom very cosy & a superb bathroom. A wood burner too which was perfect in our freezing temperatures this weekend.

Beautiful cottage perfect for a couple. Bainbridge is a pretty little village with a nice local pub and is a great base for exploring the Dales. We had a fantastic few days staying there - wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend Nikki’s place.

The pictures don’t do this cottage justice. It is beautifully furnished with gorgeous artwork and feels like a real home rather than just a rented space. The amenities are the best we’ve ever had in an Airbnb cottage and we were very snug. The host Rachael could not have been more generous and thoughtful. The village has everything you need for a relaxing holiday in glorious countryside and Hawes is just up the road.

Pretty inn in a pretty town. Room was nice and clean. There are stairs necessary to get to the rooms. Sadly, we left too early for breakfast but the breakfast room looked delightful. Short walk to the pubs.

Absolute amazing place to stay. The views are breathtaking and pictures just don’t do it justice at all. We were taken aback at these. The barn was so clean on arrival and had everything we could possibly need to get started. We will definitely be booking again!! We never wanted it to end....

Amazing find!! Beautiful building, simply stunning

The barn is exactly as it says it is. The views however are indescribable. You just have to see them. You wake up to them and go to bed with them, whether it is blue sky and sunshine or mist lifting in the morning or ominous clouds giving it character.

The barn is a unique experience. Cosy, clean and amazing views in all directions. Being in the middle of two fields, our dog loved the freedom of running around and the fact there’s a pub at the bottom of the drive which serves delicious home cooked meals is an added bonus. Louise was a great host

Joyce's place is set in a calm and peaceful part of the Dales. The place was very private and we loved watching the horses walk past the living room windows.

Truly spectacular views in all directions and hardly a house to be seen. For a true feeling of the remoteness of the Dales this is perfect. Our cottage was delightful , felt private and was well equipped. Would happily return.

The most stunning views and gorgeous setting. Sitting outside with a cuppa tea whilst my girls (who are usually scared of dogs) fell in love with the horses on site was really special! Would highly recommend!!! We’ll be back!

Jane’s cottage is a lovely little gem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and being in the midst of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

This is a lovely cosy cottage that is very well equipped. It was a wonderful place to come and relax. Great collection of DVDs, which we thoroughly enjoyed!

The cottage was lovely and cosy and had everything we needed, including a log fire to dry out and warm up. Jane’s hospitality was great and we felt very welcome in her home. We enjoyed morning runs straight out the door of the cottage and over the fields. We highly recommend the Ingleton Waterfall Trail, White Scar Cave and on a wet day the Wensleydale cheese factory.

Amber Cottage is a world away from the huzzle and buzzle. A wonderful place to start your daily hikes from, ideally situated in the middle of a rambler's paradise. The cottage is very comfy, warm and has everything one might need of sunny and rainy days. Communication with Jane was very smooth and we loved our stay in this quiet part of the Dales. Hawes is about 15 min drive away - a beautiful busy little town with all the charme of Yorkshire. I can only recommend Amber Cottage.

Amber cottage has every amenity and extra features which make it really comfortable. The setting is quiet and tranquil ... perfect for a restful break away.

Diane’s annexe is a cosy bolt hole with pristine decor & comfy bed. A warm & friendly welcome awaited us & we were so grateful to be ‘rescued’ from storm Ciera’ as we were stranded en route home to the north east. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at this delightful property.

Diane’s place is lovely, cosy, clean, stylish and in an ideal location. Also Diane is very friendly and all the instructions were clear.

Spotlessly clean, very well appointed with tea/coffee (and biscuits) and a great tv/lounge upstairs in the mezzanine level, with a very comfortable bed and shower room downstairs. Check in was a very easy process and Diane was a very welcoming, helpful host. Great location for exploring the area, or especially if attending wedding or dining at Yorebridge House just up the road. Would highly recommend
