  • Staying in John’s treehouse was such a magical experience. The bed was comfy, the view was gorgeous and living among the trees, tropical and plants was healing. I finally slowed down and got some rest! But not that much because there were so many fun things to do that John, Julie and staff made possible. Yoga, snorkel gear, paddle boards and surf boards are all made available to you here. Everyone at these tree houses was so kind and made me feel very welcomed but also gave me space to really unplug. It was transformative for me and I will definitely be back. So grateful!

  • Such a beautiful space and John was so kind and knowledgeable of the area. Would definitely come back to stay in this beautiful place. Would also 100% recommend looking through the guestbook, it gave us a lot of insight on places to visit while we were here:) thank you John!

  • What a fantastic location! Set up high in the treetops with a beautiful view down over the ocean. Our family really enjoyed our couple of days here - it just wasn’t long enough! The kids loved using the paddle board in the crystal clear water at Sunset Beach (which is only a 5 minute walk away). Thanks John - it’s a wonderful place you have!

  • Staying at the jungle treehouse is such a healing & magical experience!! The property is very private with views of the ocean.. And all you can hear are the jungle sounds! The treehouse itself is clean, spacious & very comfortable (especially the bed & pillows) with a stunning outdoor deck. The beach is a short walk away & there are also food trucks close by for yummy fresh healthy food. Especially grateful for the host - John helped take my suitcase up & down the steps (there are 80 steps to the treehouse).. And even drove me to the airport since I had a very early international flight (there aren't any Uber or Lyft drivers available in the area early in the morning). Definitely an amazing experience which I'll never forget :) If you want something unique & soothing for the soul then definitely stay at the treehouse :)

  • This place is just UNBELIEVABLE. Seriously so indescribably beautiful. We actually decided to sleep on the daybed because the view was just unbelievable. All the appliances were brand new an everything was really really nice. There was a big binder with things to know and info about their farm! I wish we would have had time to visit! Anyway, best experience and best way to end our trip after we got married on the island a few days earlier. Thank you so much!

  • Mele’s home was incredible! You can’t beat the location, and the lanai out back is what dreams are made of :) Mele was quick with responses and answered all of our questions. I can’t recommend this place enough!

    Lizzie2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location on the pipeline! Oldskool beach house vibe. Surf was pumping during our stay and it was great to watch the surfers from the living room. Was too rough for swimming, though swimming spots exist further up and down the beach. Convenient location for food trucks and other amenities! We enjoyed our stay muchly.

    Matt2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mele’s place on sunset beach/ banzai pipeline was a truly amazing experience. The little green bungalow sits right on the beach, which was basically a private beach the couple days we stayed there. Swimming in the ocean right out front was great, we even got to swim alongside some sea turtles! The location on the North Shore was awesome- food options and shops a quick drive in either direction. The house is exactly as shown and described, and even better in person. Woke up and fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. At times it got a little hot, but we opened up the windows and turned on a fan or two and that mostly did the trick. If this place is available- don’t wait to book! We definitely hope to come back. Also pay a visit to their farm across the street for fresh veggies and fruits! Thanks Mele and pipeline house! Mahalo :)

    Kelsey2019-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • I will start out by saying this place was Amazing! The location just can’t be beat as we could have just spent the whole 2 weeks sitting on the back deck watching the surfers. If you are looking for that beach cottage feel this is your place. The host Meleana and her Father were so friendly and really just wanted you to have an enjoyable experience but also really let you have a private time which was amazing. I was a huge fan of Teds bakery that is a 2 min drive down the street and also the food trucks at sharks cove (the açaí bowl from the pizza truck is a must). Do yourself a favor and use the outdoor shower as there is nothing like looking out over the beach each morning as you freshen up. The sound of the waves at night was so soothing! I can’t wait to go back

    Chris2019-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Melana's rental was so much better than we even expected. The location could not be any better, and waking up to the sound of the waves was nothing short of amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

    Janelle2019-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This oceanfront bungalow was charming with amazing views of the ocean! It's situated right in front of Off the Wall, which is basically Pipeline. The windows that pan the entire width of the house, and the central sliding doors allowed us to be fully immersed in paradise. The whole family slept in the main room so we could wake to the surf every day, and since we were on East Coast time, we were up in plenty of time before the sunrise. Pack and play, high chair, sand toys, beach chairs, and snorkel gear were provided, allowing ease of travel with our kids. There was a minor issue with the bathroom which Meleana addressed and resolved immediately. We unfortunately arrived during a rare cold front and storm, which resulted in no sun, therefore, no hot water for about a day. However, the sun was out intermittently on our second day, and we were able to obtain hot water for the remainder of our stay, despite the on and off rain throughout. When the surf was finally good, my husband enjoyed the ease of paddling out right at our doorstep, and we both enjoyed watching everyone surfing. We would definitely love to come back here!

This is such a great neighborhood. It is quiet, and safe. The neighbors are all wonderful and helpful. And we have one of the most beautiful beaches, that's not crowded, just about 650 feet from the property.
  • Great value. We were able to get six people in the Airbnb and stay for pretty cheap. Very close to lots of beaches with opportunities to walk on the beach and a pretty short drive to the town.

  • We spent a little more than a month in Rainey's space (my husband, my 3 year old son and myself) and everything went very well. The location is very good, with access to the beach, close to the gas station and Ted's Bakery - a snack bar / bakery. The studio is very compact, but very functional. Well equipped with kitchen utensils. We had a lot of concern with our son when using the stairs because it is very steep and without child safety on the side, but Rainey had already warned me at the time of booking and everything went well during the stay. There is no space to store clothes or bags, so we ended up using the space under the stairs for this, but I confess that we hit our heads numerous times on the stairs and that was uncomfortable. Cleanliness was not the strong point of our experience. We expected to find the space a little cleaner. But nothing we can't do ourselves, considering that the space is compact and easy to clean. Rainey is an excellent host and very welcoming whenever we contact her. We hope to be back soon. We had a wonderful time in that space. Mahalo, Rainey!

  • Nice location Very handy to the north Shore

    Linda2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was really good stay. Very close to beautiful beaches at North shore area. Our main purpose of visit Hawaii is surfing and chilling, so this place was awesome! We could feel the local life.

    Sho2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location while traveling in the North Shore. The place is as described. Helpful and detailed directions. Quick response from Rainey. Lots of fans and windows make up for the lack of A/C.

    Trinh2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Rainey's place. Communication and check in were super easy. The location was great - just a few minutes walk to the beach access and about 4 blocks from the start of the bike lane that takes you all they way down to Waimea. There is still enough space along the main road to walk or ride a bike and feel comfortable. The cottage worked perfectly for us and had all the basic amenities we needed. We loved having a place to sit out on the deck and that beach towels were provided. The sleeping loft is the only place where the ceilings are a bit lower, I'm 5'5" and managed okay, you just have to be aware! We didn't mind as we didn't spend that much time up there but did love being able to see the ocean from bed. We didn't have any issues with the spiral staircase, again just be mindful going up and coming down! It was great coming back to a quiet neighborhood each night and would definitely recommend!

    Courtney2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location close to all the best North Shore surf spots! Stylish space with two beds in the loft. Easy check-in and fast communication from host. Thank you, Rainey!

All of our neighbors are very friendly and some of our best friends are just across the road. Everyone waves as they drive past and you will often see the neighbors and guests on their daily walks on the road.
  • It was a wonderful time you can only experience here! Surrounded by Hawaiian jungle, borderless, cats and peacocks pass by. At night you can relax and sleep with the sounds of birds and insects. Nevertheless, bath toilets and gas ovens are provided so that daily life and cleanliness are maintained. However, when you visit for the first time, is the way down the last gravel road good without Melissa and Scott's detailed guidance? ! It was so private that I was worried.

    祐子2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely experience, tucked in the beauty of nature with simple amenities. Enjoyed the fruit, peacock visits, and closeness to activities.

    Cole2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING !!! We absolutely loved our stay with Melissa and Scott. They were super responsive and gave us a ton of recommendations on a number of thing to do and see in Oahu. A good location, not a far drive to Haleiwa which is such a cool little surf town. Super private, great space. If you’re looking for something less touristy this is totally the place to go! We didn’t want to leave!

    Alicia2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience! Close to Haleiwa and the North Shore. Fun Camping experience with the comforts of a bed and hot water. Highly recommend

    Travis2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay! The flock of peacocks we were able to view were AMAZING, and other bird and wildlife sightings were fantastic! A lovely place and true respite from the busy and more tourist spots we had been previously-also, love that the hosts are eco-focused! Sourcing materials from re-use stores and fixing up rather that buying new is such a thoughtful way to do well for the planet! Kudos, it was delightful!!!

    Manda2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Everything I needed and nothing I didn't. The tent was just as advertised, and far enough away to be deeply quiet but an easy enough drive into Hale'iwa to not be bothered by the commute. Hosts were great and sent wonderful advice on local beaches, hikes and restaurants. Really enjoyed my stay!

    J. Matthew2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a special unique Airbnb! Tucked away in the farmlands of the north shore area with an exotic feel- and close enough to downtown stores and restaurants! A hidden gem!

    Sara2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Super sweet tent with outdoor kitchen. We loved the view from our space and loved cooking outside. I recommend this spot for people who love to be in a rustic yet comfortable environment. Mahalo

  • I'm writing on behalf of my sister Emily, who stayed at Cab's place by herself. We we're both booked in, but circumstances beyond my control meant she went to the North Shore solo this time. Everything she has told me about her stay there is positive and life affirming. Not much else I can say other than how grateful I am for Cab's hospitality and aloha for my sis in a stressful couple of days for her.

    Pete2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Cab’s is the best decision you could make while staying in North Shore. His house is perfect for you if you are down to get a little dirty and get the full nature experience. Every morning Cab had fresh fruits cut from his very own farm for my friends and I! Get a chance to get to know him on your stay because he is a super rad dude. THANKS for everything Cab. Will definitely be back!

  • We loved staying at Cab’s spot. The property and experience was super interesting and rich with food and stories. The outdoor shower was amazing! Cab has a lot of wisdom and so much knowledge about Hawai’i, it’s plants, and life itself. Thank you!!

  • AMAZING! If you want a legitimate Hawaiian experience immersed with knowledge and a true island way of life, look no further! Cab is an expert host, he is helpful, accommodating, and very knowledgeable of places to visit during your trip. Not to mention the place is personable and creative, and clean! There is an outdoor shower that is an experience in itself. Just book

  • Cab was an amazing host! His place is set in a great location with lots of space in the kitchen, living room, deck area and overall is super zen! I enjoyed my conversations with him and all the things I learned! His tips for the island were fantastic! I enjoyed all the fruit and yummy breakfast that he provided. It was sooooo delicious! I hope to stay there again in the future!

  • If you're looking for a resort or a hotel in the city, this isn't your place. After spending weeks in Honolulu, it was absolutely refreshing to get away from town. We were serenaded to sleep by crickets and bullfrogs from the river while we watched geckos chase bugs on the outside of the windows. Not a single car horn or siren any traffic noise to be heard. Instead, just sounds from the country and a brilliant starry sky. Cab is an exceptional host. You'll like it here.

  • The treehouse is such a unique and amazing place. I'm so happy I got the opportunity to stay there. It's the perfect blend of being in nature, but still having some comforts of home. I would recommend this place to anyone!

  • Great location and beautiful sunsets!

    Richard2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Such a unique and special place! If you don’t mind embracing some bugs and geckos, there’s nothing like waking up here. The treehouse has unreal views of the ocean, the property and yoga deck onsite is gorgeous and the beach is only a short walk down the hill. I’ll be back!

    Laura2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience and beautiful view! No hot water for showers at all. Host very helpful when asked about any local suggestions for activities. Everyone on the property was friendly!

  • This property is a place that touches your soul! Every view is breathtaking from the water to his property filled with lush greenery.

    Tara2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place to stay for your north shore experience of food trucks and beach hopping. Then tucking yourself away in a treehouse to watch the sunset sipping your fav bevy overlooking sunset beach, falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking to the most spectacular view of ocean and jungle. The perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. A unique experience that I’m sure you will never forget!

    Hannah2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The tree house is amazing! The location is great for exploring the north shore whether driving along the coast or walking down to sunset beach. ‘Sunrise Shack’ is also about 5 min walk which is a great place to grab a coffee or snack. The use of bikes and boards is great and saves a lot of money on rental costs. We used the bikes to cycle along the north shore and went paddleboarding at sunset beach. Unfortunately we didn’t have any swell during our stay but would sometimes put a soft top in the car in case anything came in but there are boards for all levels for guests to use which is such a perk. Everyone is so friendly and offers great advice on where to go. We even had fresh bananas delivered to our porch!

Jewel of the North Shore. Cool, breezy beachside studio for rent. Relax in this quiet neighborhood, explore nearby known spots such as Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, Haleiwa. Tropical private, outdoor shower, and private beach access out back gate.
This wonderful space has been built by my husband so that we could enjoy both mountain and ocean views. Guests will have private beach access to a beautiful quiet beach. There are some bicycles, yoga mats and boogie boards on the property for general use. We have a little farm and guests are welcome to collect fresh eggs for breakfast from our hens, as well as fresh fruit from some of our fruit trees. While our busy family lives on the property most of the time, it is quite likely our paths will not cross. There are common areas, such as the breezeway, to be shared but often the property is calm and quite. This desirable, somewhat eclectic neighborhood has beautiful beaches, elegant homes and quaint cottages. Historic houses nearby are available bi-monthly for viewing. Kaena Point Natural Area Reserve is just down the road past Mokuleia Polo Field, Dillingham Airfield, numerous hikes. Nesting Laysan Albatrosses and wedge-tailed Shearwaters, Hawaiian monk seals, Hawaiian green sea turtles are just a few treasures to be discovered while visiting. Haleiwa town is a few miles away with numerous restaurants, surf and dive shops, markets, etc. A parking spot is included. Airport shuttles could be arranged by you, and a short walk to local bus line would provide you another means of getting around. The unit has no formal kitchen. It is equipped with coffee pot, toaster oven, microwave, hot plate, blender, small fridge/freezer. There is a grill on the property for general use as well. The unit has a private bathroom. The shower is an outdoor, private hot shower which is generally used by all after beach activities. The novelty of showering outside under the stars is a tropical treat.

  • Amy's place was everything we could ask for and more! From the comfortable bed to the most pristine beach, it was heaven. We were able to have fresh eggs for breakfast from the chicken coop and grill fresh food for dinner. There was beach chairs and snorkel gear to enjoy the beach and go swimming with sea turtles and fish that live around the reef. There is a perfect balance of privacy and inclusion. Every place that Amy suggested was great! Malasadas from the local bakery are a must! We can not wait to be able to visit again!

    Ashling2020-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say? The studio was clean and comfortable, the outdoor shower was amazing, and the beach was outstanding! As an added bonus we got dog and cat access all week, and great tips about the area. If you want to avoid the craziness of Waikiki then then run away to the North Shore and stay at Amy's!

    Mary Alice2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time! Very relaxing & Amy & Nick are really, really nice people!

    James2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amy’s place is a wounderful place , we enjoyed our stay very much and will be retuning in the future. She’s a great host and the location couldn’t be better.

  • Amy and her family are amazing and were all super helpful throughout our trip. As soon as we arrived Amy and her sweet puppy tucker were there to meet us! The room is spacious and was very clean. Amy and her family had great suggestions about where to eat, beaches to go for first time surfing and all sorts of local insight. We stayed at multiple places on Oahu on our vacation and this stay was our definitely favorite, we plan to stay here again next time we visit the island!

    Elisabeth2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amy’s place was perfect for my husband and I to unwind after a long day of travel. The beach access is incredible, the neighborhood is quiet, and her dog Tucker is charming. She is a wonderful, warm, and engaging hostess. We would definitely return in the future. Also the kitchen is small but she had all the supplies we needed for preparing breakfasts and lunches in the apartment.

    Tracy2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • From the living space to the recommendations about the area, Amy is amazing!! If given the chance, we recommend staying at Amy's

    Freddy2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amy’s location on the beach is unbeatable. Private walk out right to the water. What more could you ask for? The house has multiple areas for relaxing and enjoying the outdoor Hawaiian weather. You’ll feel at home on the north shore in this tucked away neighborhood. The home is very open and there is a lot of shared space so be sure that meets your needs!

  • Nic's place is nicely appointed and right at the beach - a great place for hanging out! We stayed for 1 week and did day hikes from there. Many nice restaurants and food trucks are within walking distance. The balcony for breakfast is a winner! Nic is always fast to respond to any questions. Snorkelling gear, beach chairs and body boards added a nice touch. It was the perfect hub for us - a quiet location close to many attractions and beaches - thank you for having us!

  • Nic's place was very clean and nicely decorated. The rooms had a good amount of open space and comfortable furniture, including the bed. We spent 10 nights in Hawaii staying at various places and the matress at Nic's was the best of our trip and a relief near the end of our vacation. The porch had a table and two chairs with a cute plant centerpiece and some beach equipment to use down at the sand. You could see the ocean from the balcony being only a quick walk away from the building. Excellent location in Hale'iwa!

    Amie2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • When in trouble, the owner was very kind. The location was very good and I enjoyed it. Every day at the beach in front of the children were happy. I highly recommend staying here.

    Cassidy2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Francine and Ernesto's place in Oahu is awesome. The apartment was super clean, really comfortable, with a lot of beach utilities like chairs, umbrellas, and bikes for us to use. The location is great, really close to Haleiwa downtown and the waves of North Shore. I will definitely recommend staying there and will look for availability for my next vacation in Hawaii.

  • If you’re looking to explore the North Shore, this studio is the perfect location to be close to all the beautiful white sand beaches and delicious food trucks. Everything we wanted to do was just 10 minutes away or less! The studio was perfect size my family which includes my husband, myself & my two little kids (4 & 1 years old). We are comfortable sharing one big room with my kids, so the studio was perfect for us. It was nice to be able to explore all of north shore by being in the center of it all. Francine was also very quick to respond to any questions I had and accommodated all of our needs. Thanks for letting us stay in your studio!

So either way, you can get away from it all or be in Honolulu within a quick 45 minute driving. It really is the perfect vacation destination!
  • This place was awesome. Right down the road from Haleiwa harbor and it was a fantastic place to stay. Susan was great to communicate wit. We found the book of past guests journals right as we were leaving. Not enough time to write in it, but likely we will be back to write in it soon. Mahalo.

    Nick2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place if you are looking for a good base to explore the North Shore. The unit was clean and comfortable and Betsy was kind enough to show us around when we arrived. The highlight of this rental is the beautiful beach which is just a short walk through the back field and the perfect quiet spot to relax or enjoy a sunset picnic or cocktail – almost like having your own private beach. We also appreciated that the unit included beach chairs, towels and even a cooler. For anyone looking to stay on the North Shore it is important to know that it is a pretty sleepy place, so if you are looking for nightlife – this isn’t the area for you. While Haleiwa has a nice little downtown strip with restaurants and food trucks, you’ll find very few things open after 8pm or so. But if you prefer a quieter location with access to the Northern beaches this is a great spot and we’d highly recommend this rental.

    Jessie2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Good located on the north shore. Quiet but walkable to various restaurants. 7/11 not to far. Convenient parking right in front of the house. We liked the studio and slept well.

  • This was a great place in Haleiwa. Only a few steps to the beach. Tip: don’t try to pack too much in your north shore itinerary and chill at this beach for awhile. We were swimming with turtles! 10 minute walk into town. Big kitchen. All the utensils you need. No air con but we didn’t need it. Heaps of fans. Super clean. Great bed. Great selection of TV viewing. Netflix, Hulu etc. There’s even free hiring of life jackets, snorkel gear, beach chairs, coolers etc. thanks Susan for accomodating us with our early arrival! It was a great stay!

This is an artistic community environment shared with my personal home & fellow travelers/artists right on top of Haleiwa town, surfing, shopping, good restaurants, skydiving paddle-boarding, and beautiful sight seeing. 50 feet from the bus stop for easy traveling, and in walking distance from town and beaches. It is not uncommon for groups to get together and have have bonfires on the beach, house BBQ s, movies, hikes, adventures. Create positive memories for a magical lifetime here.
Cozy, Homey, Comfortable, this is what comes to mind in my place :) My guests all say it feels like home here and they have fun socializing, watching movies, painting, cooking, etc. This is not like what comes to mind when one thinks of a shared environment or "hostel", rather, it is simply my home I share with wonderful people from all walks of life! Prepare for three cats on the property, in case of allergies.
Our neighborhood is in the cul-de-sac of a residential area right on the cusp of Haleiwa town. The residents of the area are mostly local families living in their ancestral home, and while they are friendly, they usually prefer to be left alone :) one side of the house is a large traffic circle called "Weed Circle" which is how you get to Haleiwa and the other side is the neighborhood cul-de-sac. The area is usually quiet and peaceful, with occasional family gatherings and luaus.
  • Uncle Blake’s place was amazing! I would recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Oahu experience.

    Payson2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Only was there for a short amount of time but it was exactly what I needed gave me a chance to see the north side of the island. Was a great place to meet other travelers as I was traveling solo wish I would’ve booked it for a few more nights and had a chance to connect with them a little more but now I know for next time. Had 4 people sleeping in two bunk beds in the room I was assigned was a little awkward as I stayed out late Friday and didn’t want to disturb the other guests as I came back late but everybody was chill and did their own thing and just used the place as a home base which was cool. Bring towels and other things you might need did not provide much besides the actual house with a place to sleep, a kitchen and bathrooms but worked good for me just needing a place to sleep for the night didn’t need all the amenities of a house as I was just trying to do as much as I could while I was there wasn’t too picky on the place I was staying. Others were staying for an extended amount of time and seemed to fit right into things.

  • Uncle Blake's was great! Very chill house that felt like a different universe from the terrible hostel that I stayed in near Waikiki. Thanks for the turtle bay tip! If anyone is allergic to cats, they have a couple, and they are a tad smelly, but that's the only negative. Other than that, this place is super rad.

    Matthew2020-02-01T00:00:00Z

Your view out of the bedroom windows will allow for breathtaking sunrises over traditional Hawaiian kalo fields and the stars at night are bright, perfect for stargazing. It's location makes it easy to commute to the many amazing sights, famous surf breaks, restaurants and shops on the North Shore as well as quick access to other parts of the island.
Our home is easy walking distance to the heart of Haleiwa (10 mins) with it's shops and restaurants and located just around the corner from some of the best food trucks in town. The beach is one mile from the house making it easy to get to the beach and enjoy your day in the sun, waves and surf! The unit has it's own private entrance, kitchenette, living room, bedroom and bathroom. We provide a coffee maker/coffee, microwave, dual hot plate, and toaster oven in the kitchenette. The TV is also equipped with a DVD player and Amazon fire stick for streaming movies and shows. We have multiple fans in the unit to make your stay comfortable. The property is very secure with two gates, one of which is locked nightly. Our unit comfortably fits two but could accommodate a small family as well (have a pack n play available). The unit is an attached Ohana unit-meaning it shares a roof with our main home but does not share any walls.
Close to all the best stores, food trucks and restaurants in Haleiwa town! Short drive to the famous north shore beaches and easy access to other pets of the island.
  • Dan and Bailey are the most wonderful hosts! The place is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The bed is super comfortable, the bathroom is really nice, and the bedroom is huge. The kitchenette was a little small, but was well equipped and wasn't bad once we cleared off some counter space. There is no dresser, but a ton of hanging space and a couple shelves. We had a lot of stuff and were fine on space! There is a big beautiful yard and the space is tucked away so there is no noise at night. The location was perfect for us - walking distance to the best restaurants and shops. I will absolutely stay with Dan and Bailey next time I'm in Haleiwa!

    Tess2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Dan and Bailey were so awesome! I couldn’t have asked for better hospitality. Being 19 and traveling alone, it was exactly what I needed to feel safe and get the experience I wanted!

    Braiden2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our second time staying with Bailey and Dan was even better than the first - and this time with our new baby. As if their place wasn’t super enough on its own (with everything you could need whether you’re traveling solo or with your small family. Pack-n-Play for the win) they knock it out of the park by being the most helpful and personable hosts we’ve stayed with. You can count on feeling at home and having a good time on the North Shore with Bailey and Dan.

    Dillon2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place if you want peace and quiet and a place out of the way. Walking distance is farther than you might assume so make sure you're comfortable walking 30 minutes to the beach. Clean place, although a little dated. Overall as expected and great hosts! (Even though we never actually met)

    Tristan2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent access to the main street leading to the beach in Haleiwa! I enjoyed the atmosphere of the North Shore. The host's couple was very kind and helpful, and I was able to spend it comfortably and with peace of mind. Easy to access to the way to Haleiwa beaches! We really enjoyed the atomosphere in the north shore area. The room was cozy and comfortable, also Dan and Bailey were so helpful and nice.

    Risako2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • We truly enjoyed our stay! My husband and I especially loved the location, the country feel, the comfortable bed (got some of my best sleep in years here) and the shower! Dan and Bailey made us feel so welcome the entire stay and were always super quick responding to everything I sent them! We are so happy we found your place! :) Thank you so much guys!

Aloha, private studio, with private kitchen and bathroom, located in Haleiwa town. The studio is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and world famous surf breaks. It comfortably fits two and is centrally located on the north shore. Enjoy the wonderful breeze and breathtaking views!
Our property is tucked away on a side street off the town of Haleiwa. The private studio is located on the first floor of a two story home. Turtle beach, Pipeline and Kaena Point are only a short drive away. While the north shore offers beautiful beaches and world class surf, you may want to explore the island. Our property is seated just at the beginning of the town, so there is quick access to the highway. Waikiki, Diamond Head and Pearl harbor are all within an hours drive.
Paalaa in Hawaiian means a priestly wind or breeze. And that is just what our guests will experience during their stay. Paalaa road is a quiet street lined with giant monkey pod trees that provide wonderful shade for your walk into town.
  • I am from O'ahu. I just needed a hotel alternative that was close to a location. For two nights this was the same price as Ala Moana Hotel except for the $30 /night parking the Ala Moana charges. The location is awesome. I grew up on the Leeward side and am pretty familiar with Haleiwa. If you're on vacation with a child this is for you. Host is friendly, street is child friendly. Eateries are down the road and you truly can experience the "feel" of what O'ahu was like 30 or 40 yrs ago. Some of the vibe in Haleiwa hasn't changed which is nice. The roosters are the norm these days on O'ahu. This stems from people chicken fighting and the chickens running away and now we have thousands of ferral chickens on O'ahu. I was there two nights it wasn't really so bad (to me) some people who were writing about the place complained and I was imagining it was bad. It wasn't. It may annoy some. What annoyed me was the refridgerator making odd knocking noises. I got up a few times trying to figure that out. What I was a little dismayed with was the shower. This place has been open for a while. I don't recall reading about it but personally I really disliked the completely overhead shower. It is 100 percent ABOVE your head. If I owned the place I would of at least got a plumber to get it so it's plumbed along the wall so one can have an angled shower. I travel for a living, I've stayed at at least 5 different airbnb on O'ahu for personal business. this was a first for me. If you have your hair styled "just so" and can't get it wet you will need a shower cap. It was hard convincing my 2.5 yr old to shower as she never experienced this although she is just two. If I were to use this place again it would be solely for the location. It's really in a nice spot and I love Haleiwa. Parking was great . Host is very nice. Beds were comfy and roosters didn't bother me much.

  • Hands down best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! Best vibes, awesome location, all around 10/10!

  • Perfect location to explore Haleiwa and rest of North Shire. Studio is great for a couple and has everything you need. Chris & Sarah live in the adjacent property and always quick to respond.

  • Lovely place and owners. The hospitality is great. You have everything you need.

    Maarten2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, centrally-located place in Hale'iwa, check out Sarah's place! We stayed a week and could not have been more pleased. The space was immaculate, with everything we needed to do our own cooking, and the price was more than fair. The fans were appreciated, especially for white noise for the roosters. What a great experience!!

    Stacy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place with perfect hosts. We stayed 8 nights in Jan 20. The studio is more than great - we felt home right away after checkin. Hale‘iwa became one of our favorite spots and when we come back (which is already in planning) we will definitely try to rent the studio again. Further benefits you have with the booking is complementary beach towels & chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, surfboards, and free laundry. Superb! Thanks Sarah&Chris

    Chris2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s place was perfect for us to explore the north shore. Nearby amazing food trucks and great surfing beaches. She let us borrow a cooler & a beach chair one day. Fans kept us cool at night, no AC needed. Roosters (as in parts of most of the islands) give you an early AM wake up call.

    Kelly2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The place was just perfect for our family. Sarah and her family were all amazing, kind and helpful, the place was clean and lovely, I had a very homey feel. Plus we had everything we needed and more. If future brings us back to Hawaii we would definitely go back to Sarah’s.

cozy neighborhood with a beautiful beach.
  • This is an amazing home right on the beach with a great view. The beach is mainly used by locals with very few people about providing a more authentic experience. The beach has very nice sand with multiple areas without coral for swimming/floating. Turtles can be seen popping up just 10-20 ft from the beach in front of the home with more active coral just a 10 min walk down the beach where we were able to snorkel and see turtles up close. Andres is very friendly, responsive, and welcoming. He allowed us to use his snorkel gear, kayak, paddle board, beach chairs, and umbrella. This really made the whole experience feel like home. Overall, the home has a great location at a great price and I highly recommend staying.

    Nicole2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed in 2 other spots around the island and this was by far my favorite. Can't beat having the beach right in your backyard. Incredible views all times of the day, geat communication by the host, and clean house. Highly recommend staying here. There was snorkel gear available for use and saw plenty of fish right behind the house. Location is ideal as it is close to restaurants, stores and other beaches.

    Thomas2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Andres’ flat was just what we were looking for - beachfront, confortable, perfectly located, and calm. Nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and waking up to the gorgeous view. Andres is a great host, definitely recommend his place!

    Sarah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet place with the best view! Very close to restaurants. Great communication with Andres. Would definitely recommend. Can’t wait to return.

  • Absolutely beautiful view and location, house it's self is simple with plenty of room. You really can't beat the beautiful view out the sunroom, and the perfect location. Host was friendly. We would definitely rent again

    Amy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The best place to stay right on the beach! Perfect for anyone who just needs a simple get away from it all - the beach is your back yard and sleeping to the sound of the ocean is the most relaxing thing there is! We got up early every morning and watched the clouds turn pink with the sun rising over the mountains, and saw at least 5 rainbows a day across the water! The house is simple but has everything that you need. Very cute town with shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!

  • Perfect spot. Carol directed us to a great place to eat, set us up with surfing lessons, and even had bikes for us to use. Easy place to comfortably stay. We will be back

    Brooke2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect beach house in Hale’iwa! Stayed here with the family, including our 2 kids and had the best time. The house has everything you need - linens, towels, kitchen, plenty of beds and Netflix for the evenings. Right across the street from the beach and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Carol and her husband were awesome hosts and my 7 year old and I even took a surf lesson with Carol! We will definitely be back! Mahalo Carol and Andrey!

    Grygoriy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Carol’s place was in a great location in the sweet town of Haleiwa. There is excellent beach access nearby and the bikes were very helpful in traveling to and from town, which is otherwise an easy walk. We had more than enough space and really enjoyed the lanai for fresh air and coffee in the morning. We hope to return!

    Nancy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here with another couple for an evening. It was a very comfortable stay for all of us. We were able to cook dinner and breakfast easily in the kitchen. We would happily stay there again.

    Allison2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I like the layout of this house. Three rooms. One is on upper level. Which keep some privacy from kids. This house has pretty much basic everything. I love the owner has surf school for girls. My girl and me did go. One person $80. I like the patio it’s big. I like the town area and specially the sun set beach. That like 7miles away. But it is gorgeous to watch people surf on high waves. Need prepare your own paper towel. There has coffee and sugar but no cream. If you like cream. The house is sparkling clean.

    joanna2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent Spot. Had one portable AC unit in the living room so had to leave all bedroom doors open at night. That did not bother us. The neighborhood has older homes but seems very safe. Parking is covered and easy. The area is fun and filled with things to do.

    David2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! It’s easy to walk to the beach, the rainbow bridge, the river to go SUP, North Shore Surf Shop. It’s probably a nice half mile (estimate) walk to town. We spent most of our time at Haleiwa Alii Beach Park watching a local surf contest. I went snorkeling right across the road, it was cloudy due to the large winter swell, but I saw 2 turtles and a decent number of reef fish.

    Lana2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Carol's place. There was 5 adults travelling for business. Carol was very informative of the local area, amenities and even provided us Surfing lessons. Would highly recommend staying at Carol's's if your travelling to the North Shore.

  • This location can not be beat. You are right around the corner from town, so you can have a nice breakfast if you so desire before embarking on the day’s activities. Bed was very comfy and water pressure in shower great (and the shower itself was spacious). Host provided Starbucks coffee and there’s a full refrigerator. For a simple clean space in an excellent location it’s a good value. Host has an on-site watchdog who is very friendly!

  • Great bungalow for a low key stay in the North Shore. Beach and shops are in walking distance. Front guest is helpful and friendly. This was so much more comfortable than a stay in a busy, cramped, over priced and tourist trap hotel.

    Jim2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for the price. I would stay here again. Location was great, nice to get out of the big city. The hospitality of the front house was exceptional!!!

    Victoria2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin’s place is great for a quick trip to the North Shore. It’s walking distance to the beach as well as the cute commercial center of haleiwa. His main house tenant is super helpful and unbelievably kind. A few things to keep in mind are (1) there isn’t a full kitchen which for short term stays isn’t a big deal but I would imagine someone staying for a long time may be challenging; (2) as made it clear by host and previous guests, the shower is outdoors which some guests may not feel comfortable with. Showering when windy was a bit tricky. Other than that, even when showering at night, the hot water kept us warm while in the shower. (3) Also, I had already read on reviews how the main screen door lock was broken (unable to lock from outside). While this wasn’t an issue for me as the outside gate has a lock as well as the bedroom door; I understand it may be an issue for other guests. Just one last comment - This is Hawaii - There are chickens and roosters everywhere - that’s just the way it is. There were also cute cats roaming outside (they won’t bother you- they mind their own business). My mom and I enjoyed our stay and recommend Kevin’s place!

    Leticia2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is well located in Haleiwa near the beach. The studio was clean with air conditioning, a coffee machine and a small fridge and microwave and toaster . Unfortunately no sink to wash the dishes, we washed the dishes into the small sink in the toilet. It was ok. Also there were towels for the beach and towels for the shower , very appreciated! The shower was outside the studio, it’s funny. There was a place to park our car. The place is great to spend 3-4 days in the north shore.

    Sam2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place!

    Steven2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot in north shore !

    Micaela2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Clean place and accommodation except for the dishes. They were dirty and the air conditioning takes time to cool. Everything else very well. Enough towels, excellent location just 1 block from the accommodation.

    David2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little studio with a nice bedroom, cute half bath, and small green space. Justine, the house keeper is kind and was easy to talk to. The area is safe and close walking distance to the beach. The only problem was the shower was outside and only covered by shower curtains. When it gets windy, the shower curtain sticks to you or blows everywhere. It’s secluded but kind of annoying when you’re in the shower. If stuff like that doesn’t bother you, I recommend this little studio.

  • Very nice location, only 2 minute walk to Fresh Airs Beach and was just a couple of minutes drive into town. Easy drive to other parts of the Island, particularly up north to the beaches and Turtle Bay Resort. The house had a nice porch for reading on, and we often had our dinner out there in the beautifully cool evening. We made good use of the beach chairs provided and had a very pleasant stay. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, which we mostly did rather than eating in town. Mike and Sharon are great hosts, and we enjoyed talking with them and also meeting their very friendly dog.

  • Ian’s place was everything we thought it would be. The room was big enough to accommodate me and my husband with our luggages and easy to move around. Having a private bathroom was perfect! It was clean and had everything we needed (shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels etc.). The common areas also were very clean with lots of space! We ended up not using the kitchen but we saw it was very well equipped. The neighborhood was chill with a short drive to everything in the North Shore. We definitely recommend this place and surely would stay here again! Mahalo, Ian and Madeline!

    Julia2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Ian’s place was incredible! Extremely clean and very stylish. Perfect getaway for a couple or just a traveler looking to experience Oahu in its fullest. I would highly recommend, and would look to stay again should I find myself in Oahu.

    Madj2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ian and Madeline have such a nice setup. The place is close to everything in the north shore and is very clean. They're both very accommodating despite my clumsiness; they're ready to give tips about things to do in the neighborhood.

    Gino2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ian's place was fantastic! We had the place to ourselves and Ian left the place very clean and with clear instructions on where to find things. We felt very much at home. He was also very quick to respond to all of our questions. We would highly recommend staying there if you are looking for a cute spot on North shore to relax and be close to everything from beaches to cute shops and food. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

    Gigi2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay. The room is very comfortable and relaxing& well located. Also Ian and Madeline were very helpful and had some great tips.

  • A very homey vibe. Loved the space and the location. Close to the beaches and dining.

    Lori2019-06-24T00:00:00Z

ALOHA! I'm Kurt. I live with my friend Brooks & my awesome little dog Frankie! This is a nice home with some amazing features... A contemporary beach decor, & only a 2 minute walk to our uncrowded neighborhood beach! The living space is on the second level, so there are great views, & nice ocean breezes to keep cool. There is a QUEEN size bed in the room, and also a FUTON/COUCH that is also an extra bed. Perfect for couples, singles, or friends that can have their own bed :)
Super nice & clean & functional property inside & out. In addition, a downstairs area with plenty of room. A huge yard with fire pit, outdoor shower, patio table, hammock and a huge tree that keeps everything shaded. Have fun relaxing, enjoying and exploring the north shore!
This neighborhood has plenty to offer, with lots of family-friendly activity. There is an excellent bike path for walking, jogging or biking around. Very safe! Aweoweo Beach Park is right down the road, and is great for snorkeling and seeing turtles!
  • Best AirBnB experience I have had so far! This home is at a perfect location just a 5 min walk away from the beach. Room was super neat and Kurt was always really hospitable making the vacation a breeze through check-in to check-out. Whether it be local tips or how to play the Ukulele, Kurt's the one to ask. Don't forget to try out the free tea in the living room, there's a collection!

    Mikko2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This north shore pad is a great jumping off point to the surrounding area. Comfy accommodation and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend! Thanks Kurt 🤙🏻

    Alec2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Chill atmosphere, conveniently located next to beach and bus stop, cutest dog, and Kurt was happy to help out

    Jennifer2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed for a night as we had an activity at 7 AM in the north shore and it was great(location, attentiveness, communication)!

    Priscilla2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kurt was a very chill host. The room was clean with a couch inside. There's a big yard as well as an area in the garage with couches to hang out in. He offers snorkel gear as well as beach chairs. He has a dog Frankie who is pleasant.

    Luke2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 3 days in Kurt's house, it was the perfect place for us to discover O'ahu North Shore, really not far from it, even not far from Waikiki by car, don't hesitate to come, our room was lovely, we had our own bathroom, the house is really nice and decorated with a great deal of taste, Kurt is the perfect host ever, really cool, open-minded, kind, really available for us, accommodating concerning our time of arrival and he didn't hesitate to give us many pieces of advice to make our life easier here. Brooks and Frankie (sorry for the wrong spelling) were adorable too. Thanks to their hospitality, the North Shore is our best memory from O'ahu. We don't regret our choice, we wish we could stay longer. You will really feel what Aloha means in that place.

    Audrey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot! Close to the beach with great access to Haleiwa and the North Shore, we enjoyed using it as a base camp for our adventures around the island! Kurt is friendly and very responsive, and he had some good local recommendations for activities! We also appreciated the amenities (beach towels, snorkel gear, etc.) and felt right at home. Great value, and their dog is very cute!

    Lindsey2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Loved every minute of our stay at Kurts place. Very relaxed space with all the facilities you need. So close to the beach, walking distance to some great snorkelling (loads of turtles to be seen) and a short drive into Haleiwa. Kurt is a great host, very welcoming and full of handy information about the area. And then there is Frankie ... if you are in need of cute canine attention then this is the place for you.

  • Just as shown in photos. Nice location on the North Shore, just outside of the Turtle Bay Resort.

    Stephanie2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • M’s place was just as the pictures and description made it out to be. The location is awesome on the North Shore away from the craziness of Honolulu. Keeping the windows open with the fans on made it pleasant enough without having to touch the AC, although, I could see the unit getting a bit warm during the warmer months. The amenities were awesome; we used the cooler and beach towels pretty much every day. Didn’t spend too much time at Turtle Bay but it is about a 10 minute walk from the condo. Plenty to see within a shirt drive from the condo. For the price, my wife and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

    Tristan2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great condo on the Turtle Bay resort. About a 5 minute walk from the main resort facilities. There was everything we could need for our eight night stay and we were really happy with our choice of accommodation on the North Shore! Thankyou so much!

    Victoria2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space, fabulous location, hreat communication with the host.

    Amy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location , spotless Airbnb filled with so many thoughtful touches . Quiet neighbours and fantastic location we cooked in the kitchenette every morning and loved hoe close it was to the northshore . Do not hesitate to book it’s amazing

    Helen2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 2 nights in this apartment, very well located near the Turtle Bay. The arrival instructions were very clear and our hosts were very responsive. The apartment is very comfortable and also has very appreciable beach equipment! We recommend !

    Pauline2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This location allowed us to explore what the North Shore had to offer and we were not disappointed! It was spacious and comfortable, and exactly as the photos showed.

We would love to welcome you to our home, where we made a cozy loft studio that is perfect for couples. The studio is perfectly located at the entrance of Hale'iwa town in walking distance to the town's center and 10 min from the nearest freeway. From here you can easily visit historical sites, gorgeous beaches, fun hikes and lots of local activities
The studio is not suitable for elderly people, young children, or those who are mobility challenged because you'll have to climb up to the loft. The studio has a bathroom and kitchenette with full size refrigerator, mini oven, microwave oven, induction burner, coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker and blender. There's a queen bed on the loft with a small fan to help circulate the cold A/C air. There's a futon in the living room area and although it could accommodate a third guest we feel the studio is better suited for 2. Smart TV with Netflix, HBO, Prime, Starz, and SlingTV; DVD player, hair dryer, hair straightener and beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards, snorkels, beer koozies and ice packs are also available to our guests. The studio has everything you could possibly need such as Tupperware, zip lock bags, shopping bags, hangers, moisturizer, sun tan lotion, etc just like a normal house. Instant pot available upon request. We have 2 small children and because our house and the studio share a wall, we have installed a sound studio quality acoustic barrier in between the two places. However, the children also play in the yard as well as in the porch and you will probably hear them play throughout the day if you're around during their play time.
Our house is in a quiet neighborhood right at the entrance of town. There's a bike path right in front of us that can take you as far as Mokuleia beach. We're 10 minutes from Waimea Bay and 45 minutes from the Honolulu airport.
  • Amazing place! Sure, it’s small - but bigger than you might expect. Unfortunately, we got rained out and had to spend most of our trip indoors so not exactly according to plan. BUT we had everything we needed and had a great time!

    Shay2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very communicative and hospitable host. Good location just 5 minutes outside of Haleiwa on the North Shore. The AC unit was our only complaint— it worked well, just was a bit loud for us and interfered with our sleeping!

    Mikayla2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beyond perfect! The location is absolutely perfect, less than a minute away from town. Danny was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Without this place our trip wouldn’t have been possible, and it met every expectation we had. Definitely a must stay if you want to be around the north shore.

    Kristen2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Just wow. It’s the perfect couples getaway. Very private and homey, like going to a friend’s place to stay while they’re out of town. Danny was clear with instructions and responded to any questions immediately. It’s especially walkable. Sprout and Mermaid Tavern were great places to grab food and/or drinks. The entire experience from the location to the comfort was everything we love about staying in AirBnBs. Will absolutely be looking this place up next time we’re in town. Mahalo Danny!

    Roxanne2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable place to recoup after experiencing the North Shore. Excellent host, plenty of amenities and great location. This was my second time staying and loved it even more than the first!

    Michelle2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Daniela was great, helped us out with whatever we needed. The loft has the comfiest bed and has everything you need and more.

    Cherise2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet and located near all the great stuff the North Shore has to offer!

    Nicole2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place was awesome for my husband and I! It was just the right size to hang out after a long day of hiking and hanging out on the beach and had all the amenities to make it feel like home! We also loved the location - close enough to spend a day or two in Honolulu, but far enough away to escape the commotion of the city! We loved the North Shore and will be back soon! Danny was also a great host - the place is thoughtfully decorated and I felt like she was always just an email away if anything was needed!

This quaint private studio apartment is attached to our main family home on a 7 1/2 acre tropical valley on a small start up coffee farm. Within a few minutes drive you can snorkel, swim, and surf at The world famous Beaches of the North Shore. The property offers a mile long walking path a small chipping range and a small meditation chapel. There’s also a second Airbnb rental THE SECRET GARDEN COTTAGE AT VALHALLA PARADISE COFFEE FARM as an alternative rental or if you’re traveling with friends
Oahu, has become increasingly crowded and urbanized over the years, We're only a short distance away from the hustle, bustle of some of the most popular vacation destinations in the world, yet our little valley is a distant peaceful retreat, far from the maddening crowd, yet easily accessible. We are a small start up coffee farm, feel free to ask us about planting a baby coffee tree to add to our new orchard.
We're 15 minutes away (traffic depending) from the old surfing historic town of Haleiwa, and up the hill from the world famous beaches of Waimea, Sharks Cove, and Sunset Beach. Our farm is in a rural setting in a residential area up the hill from the seaside.
  • Warm, friendly, and accommodating, Mark and Cristina make excellent hosts and I felt at home throughout my entire stay. The living quarters are clean and cozy, and the surrounding landscape is spacious and extremely well-manicured. Great experience!

  • We adored this place. The location was perfect for our north shore getaway - it feels secluded and vast, but is only a short drive from all the things we loved about this area of Oahu. The hosts are true gems, thinking of all details to help make ya feel at home and enjoy our stay. We were sad to leave!

    Annie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Valhalla Paradise was the perfect fit for us. It feels like it's tucked far away in the mountains, but it is also very close to Foodland, Shark's Cove and Ted's Bakery (our favorite). Mark and Christina are warm and welcoming. There were even a couple of beers on the doorstep when we arrived! The property is lush and beautiful. The room was great for our small family of two adults and a baby. There is a small fridge (bigger than a mini fridge) and a hot plate - we mostly eat out or at our friend's house on Oahu, so we didn't need a full kitchen. Saw really cute geckos, and our baby was delighted to hang out with the resident dog and cat. There is a lot of beach equipment to borrow too. We hope to go back again soon! Mahalo Mark and Christina!

Our neighborhood is in the cul-de-sac of a residential area right on the cusp of Haleiwa town. The residents of the area are mostly local families living in their ancestral home, and while they are friendly, they usually prefer to be left alone :) One side of the house is a large traffic circle called "Weed Circle", which is how you get to Haleiwa, so be aware of potential road sounds. The other side is the neighborhood cul-de-sac. The area is usually quiet and peaceful, with occasional family gatherings and luaus. As I do live more on the peaceful and beautiful countryside of Oahu, be aware of potential roosters screaming in the morning, which is less annoying than more adding to the atmosphere! :)
  • If you’re looking for a home away from home, look no more. UB’s offers a friendly, chilled environment with great people running the place and good vibes. Evenings often involve popcorn and Netflix, there are surf boards to rent, snorkel gear, etc. It’s a 10 minute walk into town and a 10 minute drive to the beach. There are also loads of great food spots around. Yes, this is a hostel style accommodation but it is not Waikiki (it’s sooooo much nicer) - People rise early to surf and hike ;) There is also a large kitchen to make and share meals. Whilst there are no lockers, the place feels really safe and were never any issues with security. Can’t recommend this place enough :D

  • Everything about my experience at Uncle Blake's was based on the fact that I went with no expectations. I met some amazing new friends from all over the world and explored each day with someone new basically. Such an amazing experience that I think everyone should have at least once! I hope to return some day!

  • Uncle Blake’s was unlike any other place I’ve stayed before. Everyone staying in the house was extremely social and inclusive to everyone else and there was always something going on. I felt more like part of a big family than just a place to sleep at night. Would definitely stay here again!

    Amelia2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Uncle Blake's is definitely the place to stay on Oahu. Come with an open mind and good vibes, and you're sure to make several new friends here. Have breakfast at the Beet Box cafe in Haleiwa, spend the day exploring the island, watch the sunset at Sunset Beach, then go back to Blake's that night for good fun and conversation. Blake, Taylor and everyone there work hard to make this a special place, and you can feel it. Plus they have kittens!!

And if surfing is your thing then he is your guy. Cab can play up a storm on his Djembe also. We played together every day. A highlight of my stay. Well, I intended to stay one day and stayed seven.

  • We were spoiled for four days in a healthy environment with fresh fruit, nooni juice, yoga and a great massage. We had great talks with Cap about healthy living. The whole stay was very inspiring and we were able to relax wonderfully. Cap has bikes and is very helpful. We laughed a lot together and enjoyed his many life experiences and knowledge. Again and again

  • Cab is an amazing host, extending true aloha hospitality. He generously served the world’s best smoothies for breakfast with fresh fruit picked from his property. Staying with Cab during my visit with family brought me peace, rest, and joy. Be prepared to experience authentic North Shore, that is beautiful, laid back and true country - yes, there are chickens ;). Close to beach and Haleiwa town. If you love yoga, nature, and community, this place is for you. Definitely will stay with Cab again.

This is a 360 sf brand new studio about 150 meters off the beach. It has a full kitchen and bath with shower. Beautifully appointed with flat screen TV and all the ammenities you would expect from a 4 star hotel.Due to Bill 89 I am no longer able to advertise rentals for less than 30 days. Please email me with any questions.
This studio was just completed on Thanksgiving 2015. The unit has all new appliances and bedding. Full kitchen with range and microwave. No dishwasher for space reasons. It has a brand new through the wall air conditioner. It is just a short walk to a, usually empty, beach.
This is a working class family neighborhood with empty beaches and safe surroundings. Far away from the hordes of tour buses of Honolulu. Shopping, restaurants and banking is only a 5 minute drive away in Haleiwa

  • Wayne's place was the perfect spot for my quick stay on the North Shore. It was clean and had everything I needed and was just the right size. The house is within walking distance to a beach (2 blocks). I would recommend renting a car if you want to explore toward Haleiwa or Turtle Bay. Wayne provided a lot of details and local suggestions and was quick to reply in all communications. Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area!

  • We had a great stay! The location was close to town and the major beaches. The place had everything we needed, and we appreciated the access to the beach gear. We would stay again!

  • Great little place. Close to everything you need.

  • Wayne’s place was just what we needed for our North Shore trip. Outside of busy expensive Waikiki with free parking, condo amenities, close to the beach. Beautiful drive up to Waialua. Very in tune with the north shore vibe. Perfect for a low cost but nice place to stay with a kitchen. And close enough to everything we wanted to do. We never had any need to contact Wayne during our stay. Check-in and check out were easy. Thanks for the stay!

  • The apartment is well equipped with a kitchen (stove, oven, fridge with freezer), a small table for two, a comfortable double bed and a bathroom with window and shower. The Aweoweo Beachpark is a three-minute walk away. He is calm and not overcrowded. In the late afternoon or early morning you can even see turtles here. In just under 10 minutes by car, which you should definitely have, you are in Haleiwa. A small town with a special flair. Here you can shop and eat and stroll through the shops. The apartment is ideally located.

  • Wayne’s home is in a great location. It was perfect for us to explore the North Shore for a few days!

We are situated just outside historic Haleiwa Town, about a 3min drive away. There is a bus stop at the corner of the main street. Our neighborhood is filled with families and grandparents so it is a safe and laidback area. Our home is on a quiet cul-de-sac lined with trees and chickens.
  • Amazing place we got engaged in it!!

  • Fantastic gem of a place! Great location right in Haleiwa so you’re a very short drive to restaurants, groceries, shops etc. Hosts were super accommodating and very quick with responses. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • We LOVED staying here! The Big Blue Whale is close to so many downtown shops and Beautiful beaches. It was super clean and we slept great with the fans on. Leah provided a white noise machine which was so nice because we usually sleep with one on at home. I read other reviews about barking dogs at night...we only heard a dog bark once or twice and never at night. The path to the tiny home is well lit and has a pretty tree arching over the begging of the path. Which we loved! It made it feel so private. Leah was welcoming and had lots of suggestions for us. We hope to stay here again soon!

  • We had a wonderful time at this cute place. Location was awesome and everyone made us feel very welcomed.

  • Leah was the one who greeted us! It couldn’t have gone any better. She is an amazing soul, always willing to help with anything she can, even if that means going on some adventures around the island with you!:) The place was super charming and clean! It has no a/c, so if you’re used to that, you might get a little hot in the afternoon/night. Other than that, everything was great. The location is also really good, only about a 5min drive to Haleiwa, which let me just say that: this place is already on my top 5 favorite! There are some really good places to eat there and if you wanna drive to the pipeline it’d take you about 35 minutes. Well, if you’re looking for a nice place to stay that allows you the peace and quiet and yet gives you the Island experience with a lot of adventures close by, and a cute little town to explore, I totally recommend staying at this Airbnb. Thanks again Leah! ❤️ Aloha! Already counting the days to come back.

  • Cute stylish tiny home! Cool decor inside and the shower area is super nicely done. A full-size fridge and sink is available to use and there is a hot plate also although we didn't use it. The bed is comfy and very very large. Leah was managing the space when we stayed and she was extremely helpful and accommodating. Above and beyond what she needed to do. We had a great time staying there and enjoyed our time in the North Shore. Thanks again!

  • Quick response for a last minute stay! Great place to camp for a few days. She has everything you need to cook and you have access to a fridge which was a great touch. Warm shower was nice too! Thanks for a great stay, we’ll be back!

  • Fantastic space to camp glamourously. Very affordable too. Very cute touches. Clean toilet. Fun common area you can meet other travelers at. And neat outdoor kitchen with much more than expected. A lot of attention to detail was put into this — and it shows! Be prepared for roosters in the am — nice reminder to wake up, and maybe crying babies though. Given that it is a campsite in the middle of the town should be expected. Maybe bring earplugs?

  • Kimberly's place is exactly as advertised. I nice place to set up camp, with a shower, a nice bathroom, and a great location. It was just what I needed!

    Aaron2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We planned a last minute trip to the North Shore and came across the opportunity to pitch our own tent in Haleiwa. Kim was super responsive to my questions before I arrived and she couldn't haven't been nicer once we got there. The property was really cool and the location was ideal. Right out front were surf shops, restaurants, coffee, shaved ice, food trucks, you name it . During our stay, it seemed like Kim and Ko'an were constantly working on the property to maximize the experience for the guests. And each night we would hang out by the fire pit with other guests. We met so many interesting people from all over the world and shared stories of our travels. I should note that the 10 p.m. "quiet time" is a legitimate thing. We needed to be reminded after the first night, but that was our fault...we were just having so much fun! Anyways, if you can handle some rooster noise, then I'm certain you'll have a great time camping at Kim's place in Haleiwa!!!
