Well what an amazing long weekend we as in the Wooden house. We had a wonderful welcome from Tony who introduced us & showed us the ropes of this amazing space. Sophie has clearly put a lot of thought into this place & although simple it's decorated to such a unique style. The space is extremely comfortable and quiet. It's very private and the views are stunning. There are an abundance of lovely walks in the surrounding area literally from the doorstep. we stayed in the wooden house for our first wedding annivsary weekend away & couldn't have picked a more perfect place. Sophie has done such a great summary of the area & why it has to offer in the info page. Thank you Sophie & Tony - we will be back to enjoy your wonderful space and the wonderful views we have enjoyed this weekend.

Wow. What a beautiful space. The view is amazing Lots of nice touches. Wifi works well. Kettle, toaster and fridge. Nice parking spot. Check in easy, Tony was nice and helpful. We didn't see him again but he said we could pop round if we had any problems. Very quiet area but lots to see near by. We ate at The Lamb Inn which is a short walk away and The Butchers Arms in Oakridge Lynch. Both were excellent but you need to book. Great value. Definitely recommend.

What a find! Will definitely return. I went with 4 other members of my family. 2 adults and 3 pre teen children. The tent is huge and fitted 5 beds (a double and 3 singles easily). There was still ample space for moving around. Ruth and her family were all amazing hosts; welcoming, efficient, helpful and extremely likeable. The surprises just kept on coming! It truly is the little extras that make this such a fantastic find. 100% of you visit you will return.

Ruth was a fantastic host, answering lots of questions prior to arrival and we were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. The bell tent was lovely - just as advertised and made for a very good nights sleep. Ruth very kindly set up the BBQ area for us and even supplied som goodies to go with out stay. Would highly recommend!

We arrived to the tent which is exactly the same as the pictures which Ruth has uploaded, and even better with all the lovely fairy lights in place. She arranged warm and comfortable bedding for 6 people, and it was extremely cosy. Of course with everywhere else, where the sun sets it gets a little chilly but with our well prepared extra layers, and the blankets and duvets which Ruth kindly provided, we were very snug. Ruth also prepared us with an open gazebo where there was a dining table and bench, cutlery plates, BBQ set and tools, a gas stove and a complimentary wine bottle! With the weather perfect, we had a successful BBQ dinner, and the space around us was generous - we had space to run around and play volleyball too. We were surrounded by other tents and families but Ruth kindly allocated us in the far corner so we felt like we got a lot of privacy and space. We had such an amazing weekend thanks to Ruth's kind preparation for our stay, and all the intricate details and efforts she made to make our stay as relaxing, fun and candid as possible. The site is easy to find on the satnav, and the photos are extremely accurate. Ruth was a lovely host, and we will be back very soon!

Ruth is a lovely friendly host and she and her family have set up a wonderful place to camp. The bell tent is amazing, along with the essentials provided which elevate the experience. This makes it easy for someone like me who is car-less and cannot transport everything you would need. It's a relaxing experience made even more so by the wonderful camp site and facilities. A big thank you to Ruth for the ease of organising too!

We were a party of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids) and had the best time at Camp Elmwicke. Ruth was amazing and has skyrocketed up to the top of my favourite hosts ever. Everything was thought of... Beds, games, fairy lights, even a couple extras that I would tell you about, but I don't want to ruin the surprise!! We were able to get meat directly from her for the delicious BBQ we had and she marinated it to perfection. Honestly, I could go on and on about her... The tent was fabulous. The wood burned kept it nice and cozy. Outside you have plenty of space to yourself and if you wake up early enough, you may have a few sheep visitors nearby. The toilet tent was a major major bonus. No trekking to use the loo!! Around the campground, the girls were able to pick some blackberries and got the grounds tour to boot. The Gloucester cows were friendly and cool and the giant tractors kept the girls in awe. We will definitely come back!!!

Had a fab stay last weekend! Just on the edge of the forest so perfect for walking breaks. Even managed to master making a curry on the stove! Listening to the birds in the morning is heavenly :)

We only stayed one night but had a lovely time. Even in early April with a chilly evening the tent & bed were cosy & warm. The cooking facilities are basic but more than adequate & plates, saucepans, glasses & crockery are all provided. There's a nice table & chairs outside, ideal for supper & breakfast. The toilets & shower are very clean & very good for camping. Do make sure you get full directions before you travel as the sat nav takes you to an empty field half a mile away. (Turn up the lane at the phone box & drive to the top) There didn't seem to be anywhere to eat out in walking distance, so taking food or driving to eat are your options An early morning walk to Symons Yat was beautiful & recommended, with a brief glimpse of wild boar in the woods The "glamp" is quiet & isolated and waking up to the a huge range of birdsong is wonderful If your looking for a peaceful getaway but still want a comfy bed then it's highly recommended

Lovely stay in a secluded space.

The area was beautiful and lots to do in Symonds Yat. The tent was great value for money. We felt that the pictures did not portray an accurate idea of the tent, but we still had a great time and Julie and her family were great. Would definitely recommend it.

I would highly recommend staying with Trudy, Ian, Holly and Sonny, their labradoodle. We have just returned home from a relaxing beautiful sunshiny weekend in The Annexe. We went with our 2 little dogs and they were fully accepted as important guests with all a dog might need - a bed, water bowl and space to play in their garden. Both David and I enjoyed visiting local beauty spots and walks on the hills. We had a wonderful meal at No. 3 in Ross on Wye (recommended by Trudy) and also The Moody Cow. So when you get the chance enjoy a peaceful time at The Annexe - it's a different sort of break and well worth the experience.

We had a great stay at the annex. A great base for exploring the area. Clean, practical and well equipped accommodation. We really appreciated the small touches such as the dog bed and games to keep us entertained in the evenings. We would definitely recommend a stay here to anyone looking to explore Herefordshire. We had a fabulous stay at the annexe. Trudy and Ian were great hosts to us and our 2 dogs. It's not very often you find dog friendly accommodation. Hot tub was an absolute bonus. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very much at home. Breakfast was a lovely addition also. All in all and great find, great value and great experience. We'll be back!

The most sincere and warm hosts who looked after us and our pup with without encroaching on our privacy. Nothing was to much trouble, even offered to look after our pup if we wanted to go out without him. Trudy and her husband are such lovely people and made us feel so welcome. A wonderful, quirky and high spec accommodation. The bed is so comfy that we had our first lie in for years. We loved it at The annex and we will come back.

We just want to say that we had a wonderful stay with Trudy and Ian and although we were there first guests we certainly won't be there last as they are wonderful hosts their place is exceptional and attention to detail is superb, the restaurant they recommended was amazing as was the owner who made the effort to introduce himself and made sure we were looked after, our dogs were spoilt and also had a great time with Sonny their labradoodle. Lovely town and super area to visit wish we had more time but will definitely be back. Hope everything goes well for them.

Beautiful, brand new split level annex. Felt like a 5* apartment. We had a lovely stay st Trudy's. She was very friendly and helpful. She very kindly left us croissants and things for breakfast which was a lovely touch. Very clean Comfy bed Big lounge area downstairs with films and games Small kitchenette (suitable for making breakfast) Ensuite 15 mins from Symmonds Yat, for canoeing/kayaking/walks and amazing scenery. Only slight minus is the noisy road, other than that a wonderful stay.

This is a beautiful cabin, literally on the edge of the forest. Completely self sufficient with a small kitchen (inc gas hob, microwave, fridge, etc), wood-burner, and bathroom with shower. John communicated well and made us feel really welcome. Lots of great places to walk and cycle nearby. We spent some time on the big, well maintained cycle paths through the forest, but also went exploring off the main tracks, mountain biking through wild and hilly forest - excellent fun! We saw deer, buzzards, wild boar (!), and lots of dragonflies.

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better host. Warm , humble and welcoming and knowledgeable of the surroundings and general area info. Its only a few minutes from the forest of Dean by foot, there is plenty of routes to take and sights to see, you can use a bike to travel which I did on many occasions . So glad I had this week holiday it has done me a world of good and was perfect. Will be returning for sure .

Lovely little cabin, perfect for a couple to explore the wonderful forest of dean. The property is on the edge of some woods that have some nice paths up and around a nearby old quarry and its a short drive to lots of other local attractions.

A great place to stay and it's over a pub so what could be better. Clean and well presented with a big bathroom and kitchen. Very quiet and scenic area and would be a great base to explore the Cotswolds.

This is a lovely apartment in a beautiful setting. We didn't visit the pub downstairs during our stay, although would have if we had been there longer as it appeared very welcoming and cosy complete with a pool table. The apartment we stayed in had a very modern kitchen and bathroom which would not look out of place in a brand new building. It was very clean everywhere and had all the appliances and space you would need for a short stay. The surrounding area was peaceful and stunning, with a lovely park a short stroll along the river. There is a small local shop opposite the pub/accomodation perfect for any last minute bits and pieces, for a larger shop a handy Tesco express is just a few minutes drive away. My partner and I had a lovely 2 nights there and are looking forward to going back in the future.

Once again the perfect stay, lovely, clean and quiet apartment in a great location.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods. It was totally perfect. The space was really lovely, simple and had everything you needed! It was set in a stunning valley and Sarah was very helpful in directing us towards some beautiful woodland walks and a great local pub. Sarah was a great host - very accommodating and flexible and we really appreciated the flowers and eggs from the chickens. I am sure that we will be back soon.

If you're looking for a back to basics, cosy little getaway — this is perfect. Very secluded, just enough provided in order to cook, clean and bathe. The perfect little break from civilisation we needed. Thank you!

Sarah was very welcoming and kindly braved the dark and rain to show us to the cabin. We had everything we needed for a rustic weekend in the countryside.

Absolutely loved our stay - a beautiful cabin surrounded my trees - perfect for peace and quiet. Lots of sweet little touches such as hot water bottles on the bed, local walking route guides and plenty of candles. Super friendly hosts and we were even given a wheelbarrow to transport bags across the field - they have thought of everything! A perfect break - will definitely be back. Thanks Sarah and Rory!

Great place to experience, quite and tucked away. Back to basics, i would say glamping. Lovely views and horses in the field. It was nice even on a rainy day, just the quite space we needed. Would be more comfortable in spring / summer months but warm enough for early Feb. We were shown around once we got there and left alone for the weekend, even on a farm it felt secluded. Friendly hosts and easy to contact if needed. We also tried the Woolpack Inn from previous reviews, the staff were friendly and the food was very tasty, great if you didn't fancy cooking or just for a local beer.

The Cabin is in a magical location, perfect for walking and good food. The Cabin itself has everything you need, it was lovely and cosy. I'll definitely return.

The shepherds hut is a great place to stay and unwind with an amazing view over the fields. We also fell in love with the 2 pet sheep that are walking around. We had a great stay and would love to come back again.

I booked the studio as a surprise for my husband and it didn't disappoint. Juliet was fantastic, a very thoughtful host: She had left homemade jam for us, milk, bread and even fresh eggs from the chickens on site! The space is so cosy and unique. We loved our stay. Diolch yn fawr x

Juliet is a lovely person and a great host. She gave us eggs from her chickens which you can see from the rear of the cabin :) at the front of the cabin there is a nice bistro set were you can sit outside if you wish, this is in Juliet's garden near her conservatory but we was made very welcome to be there. she made us home made jam! Provided us with butter and milk. The cabin is beautiful with hand crafted furniture. It's in a nice location for some nice walks. We walked around the local area and drove to the forest at different locations for walks. We got our own parking space which is nice so we didn't have to worry about that. Generally a lovely holiday all round :) also there is electrically in the cabin so we used our laptop for films. Oh! Also there was a whole stack of dvds in the cabin and some books! And a portable dvd player in the cupboard which is awesome. We didn't use those as had the laptop but was still cool. Oh and tea coffee and sugar was supplied. I think that's all lol :) defo would recommend.

We had the perfect 4 days staying here, the shack had absolutely everything we needed and more with the most beautiful surroundings. Piers created the shacks himself and there's nothing he hasn't thought of, from the secluded location, the shack design and outdoor sheltered area, the cosy fairy lights inside, hot chocolate and log burners for a cosy evening, it's all perfect. Everything was exactly what we wanted. Great for a short walk into close by villages and pubs (highly recommend The Crown at Frampton Mansell - a 20 minute walk across the fields away).

A special and secluded retreat surrounded by nature. It has all the amenities you could need so definitely a good first experience of glamping. Rustic but comfortable.

We came here looking for a peaceful, countryside break surrounded with greenery and trees, thinking the shack looked ideal. We didn't expect to find the incredible beauty that we did on Westley Farm. The Shack was as described, simple, yet has everything you need, and with lots of little touches that make it very welcoming. The area is perfect for walking and exploring. We found a great little pub in a nearby village with brilliant views over the valley to sit in the sun with a pint of local cider. Piers was a fantastic host, offering us everything we could possibly need. If you are looking for a place to visit to connect with nature and engage in genuine conversation, in your own little corner of green heaven, then this is the place to be!

Simon & Zanetta were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The barn is very well equipped. The welcome pack was appreciated and lovely - even the wood burning stove had been prepared ready to light. We had a very pleasant stay with 3 of our boys and all enjoyed the hot tub. The boys were brave and went in the fabulous pool (which was warm, clean and a good size). The owners provided plenty of towels which was very helpful. Church End is a quaint English village, thatched cottage and church, and the river Avon is just a few minutes walk away. The location is just a few minutes drive from the motorway, but dead quiet. We highly recommend staying here. What a great place and a real gem! Thank-you Simon & Zanetta.

The barn is a truly lovely place to go and we had the most wonderful relaxing weekend. The barn was perfect for our party which consisted of 4 adults a baby and a dog - the open plan downstairs, hot tub and BBQ were just perfect for our stay. The barn is well located to explore the Cotswolds. Thank you to Simon and his wife for being on hand if we needed them and helping me get milk for my son on the first day which id forgotten. We would definitely return.

This cottage was an absolute dream. A group of 6 stayed, all around our mid-late twenties. We were looking for a lovely weekend break, and that's what we got! Simon was incredibly helpful and a dedicated host, he ensured that our stay was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The hot tub was fab, we enjoyed a lovely barbecue and the bedrooms were all clean, well presented and very cosy. Overall, we would certainly stay again if we are looking for a lovely UK break in the future. Location, house itself, and owner are all 5 star! Thanks again for a fab stay!

Simon was incredibly helpful ahead of our visit, providing information about local restaurants and Santa locations. On arrival there was bread, biscuits, milk, marmalade and a whole host of gluten free goodies too (thank you!). They had also gone the extra mile adding some beautiful roses and a balloon for my mum who was celebrating her 80th birthday.

This is an amazing little retreat. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed our time in this snug and private little oasis of calm. Thanks. S & Y

Caroline's cosy garden studio is a lovely place to stay to get some peace and quiet - the area is beautiful; the perfect spot to get some writing done. I didn't get to meet Caroline or her family but she left everything I needed and would definitely stay again.

Carolines loft is a beautiful little place, situated in a truly special and romantic setting. Just down the street you will find an amazing local pub, with nice food and own local beer. It was easy to find the house and communication with Caroline was smooth and nice. The room, bath and terrace is just lovely, and actually much more beautiful than expected. If the weather allows, I believe the terrace is adding almost another room, and has fully privacy. For two people, the place perfect. I will warmly recommend this place.

The Secret Garden Cottage is everything we could have hoped for - as I walked up the small hill through Caroline's magnificent country garden I felt my stresses drop off with every step. The outdoor terrace is magnificent, hillside meadow on one side, and views across the valley on the other - the perfect spot for long summer evenings. The 7 Tuns, a charming pub, sits at the end of the road and offers the usual refreshments. Chedworth is an easy drive to Cirencester, or Cheltenham for more options on entertainment and food. I can't actually recall when I have slept better than I did these past few nights in the (well appointed) Cottage and Caroline was the perfect host. My only caveat is if you are on the tall-side or not very limber this might not be the best option for you. The Secret Cottage is built into the eaves and headroom is at a premium, and the bathtub is a little awkward to exit. However, a few head-bumps were a small price to pay, and plans are already in the works to return the next time we need a proper recharge.

Lovely place! Cannot recommend highly enough. Nice to have privacy by being away from the main house. Did some gorgeous walks including around Chedworth. Very nicely furnished and comfortable bed. Thanks Caroline and family!

We had a fantastic stay in the studio for 2 nights, made really easy to enjoy by Caroline's helpful instructions and tips. The location is superb for exploring the Cotswolds and the village itself is perfectly quaint, with a nice pub and only a short drive to many great walks and beautiful villages. The studio was perfect, with a great bath and bed, as well as a lovely decking area to sit out enjoying the sunshine! Thanks for hosting, and we can strongly recommend to anyone else looking for a place to stay in the Cotswolds.

Jacqui and Matt are very warm and gracious hosts. They have kept their place immaculately and it was a pleasure being there. Interiors of the house are picture perfect and very high quality materials have been used. The house is located in a most beautiful corner of the world. Idyllic really. From every window one can only see green expanses and nature at its best. The area around is also very rich in experiences... Ledbury, Upton upon Severn, Malvern, Colwall.... super super little towns around. The local spring water is pure. No better word. Just Pure. And in the area there are many lovely walks - British Camp Hill Fort, Knapp & Papermill Nature Reserve, and many more. There are many many fabulous dining options within a few miles driving distance from the house. For any nature lover this is a fabulous house to be able to make a base and experience the awesome Malvern Hills region. And also have access to the nearby Cotswolds AONB.

Jacqui's place is absolutely stunning and the area is fantastic if you're looking for a quiet getaway. We were able to walk from the cottage to the hills and the scenery is beautiful. The cottage is finished to a beautiful standard, and little touches did not go unnoticed. There is a pub a stones throw away and the food was great. The whole process and Jacqui's communication was smooth and easy. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back again in the future!

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights as a first Airbnb experience and it exceeded all our expectations!! We arrived quite late due to heavy traffic so it was a treat to find tea, coffee, milk in the fridge and flapjacks as soon as we arrived - thank you! The cottage is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. It’s clear a lot of thought has gone in to making guests happy and it did exactly that. It's fully equipped with everything that you may need for your break - we didn't need for anything. Waking up to the breathtaking green scenery that surrounds you is amazing. Jacqui was very helpful with tips and information on the area and a pleasure to talk to. A huge thank you - we will most definitely be visiting again!! Michaela and Hamid.

The cottage is beautiful spacious and spotlessly clean with comfy beds lovely bathrooms, nice hot showers well equipped kitchen ( thanks for the cake! ) and even a fast Internet connection. The location is quiet with beautiful views. Jacqui was the perfect host. The location was great for exploring the area. We walked the Malvern hills and spent a nice afternoon in Ledbury. We had lots of suggestions on where to eat. Airbnb at its best!

Jacqui was an amazing hostess and the place was fantastic. Obviously well taken care of and designed with exemplary taste, this 2 bedroom house is a perfect home away from home to explore the Malverns or just to get out of the city for the weekend. Very cosy, high quality interior, cannot recommend enough. Jacqui herself was a pleasure to deal with and very understanding even when we missed our checkout time! Can't recommend enough!

This cottage is perfect. Clean, well-equipped and in a wonderful setting. Everything is so tasteful and beautifully done, but still comfortable for a family with kids. We loved the views and watching the sheep go by. We used the cottage as a base to attend one of the summer cricket festivals at The Downs School in Colwall. It was a great location, 10 minutes drive to the school and close to Malvern and all the amazing walks and attractions in the area. We would definitely recommend it.

I stayed at the Lodge for a long weekend with my boyfriend and it was perfect for what we wanted - direct access to the countryside for walks as well as being walkable to village pubs for lunch/dinner etc as we didn't have a car (note that the centre of Painswick is actually 20 mins walk and not 10 mins as stated in the listing); well equipped room, bathroom and kitchenette, with outdoor space so we could prepare the basics and eat outside. Lindsey also provided a welcome basket and eggs so we were reasonably supplied for the weekend in terms of breakfast and tea/coffee. Overall it was a great stay and we would recommend it.

Lindsey and Nick were perfect hosts, they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed from walking maps to kitchen supplies. They were really friendly and gave excellent recommendations on where to eat, what walks to go on and what places to visit. The Lodge itself is a great place to stay, it's beautiful, clean and makes for the perfect weekend getaway. Also their dog Willow is super cute!

We only stayed one night in the lodge but it was perfect for what we were after - a base to explore the area and take our dog on some good walks. Although the lodge is connected to the main house it felt very separate with it's own entrance and yard. It was lovely and quiet with beautiful views. The accommodation was newly decorated and well equipped.

The guesthouse was absolutely lovely. Arrived to a very thoughtful welcome basket and everything was clean and attractive. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and easy to use. Would definitely stay again.

Lyndsey and Nick were great hosts. They provided a really thoughtful welcome basket for us (with some of the best tasting eggs we have ever had!) and provided useful recommendations for walks and local restaurants. We had a lovely time exploring the area and meeting friendly locals, our dog has been sleeping ever since we got back! The Lodge is a very pretty annexe which is well designed and beautifully decorated, it had everything that we needed for our short break in the Cotswolds. Thanks again!

Beautiful rooms, really quiet and relaxed location. Exactly what we were after. Welcome basket was above and beyond, and all the maps and walking suggestions really set us up for a great weekend. Highly recommended for a quiet weekend away with great walking!

Perfect relaxing retreat. Very clean. Lovely little lodge with high spec inertia. Everything you need. Very friendly little doggy... Not always a welcome basket upon arrival so ensure you take your own breakfast things... Highly recommend this beautiful lodge.

Beautiful place! I loved the views from the patio area as well as from the sleeping area. Lots of natural light. Kathy was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The book selection available to us was impressive and appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends. Thank you!

Kathy is wonderful and very friendly, we arrived to this gorgeous little cottage which she showed us around and made us feel very at home. The cottage is in a perfect location right next to so many of the walking trails around the Cotswolds Yet is away from it all and secluded. The cottage itself is beautifully done and very spacious, we had a loverly few days exploring what the Cotswolds have to offer and we are hooked! Won't be long until we are back hopefully

My wife and I spent a very wonderful night in the Bakehouse on our way through the Cotswold. Kathy was a charming hostess and the accommodation was tidy and very charming. Bonus points for an exceptional continental breakfast and a friendly spaniel for company. The village of Winchcombe was a leisurely and scenic 45 minute walk for supper. We had a lovely time overall.

Had a wonderful evening in the bakehouse. Kathy was a lovely host and very accommodating. Beautiful country cottage in the cotswalds. Perfect for a escape to the countryside. Loved it!!

A truly perfect stay in The Bakehouse. We knew the surrounding area would be beautiful, but had no idea how comfortable our accommodation would be. Potentially the world's best bed. And Kathy was a great hostess making the lead up to our stay really easy and the stay itself very charming.

We had a lovely stay at Kathy's home, despite the weather not working in our favor. Her little cottage is incredibly quiet, cozy, and has the most comfortable (soft) bed. It was a bit chilly when we made our way through town, but the space heater in the cottage warms up the room quite nicely. Kathy went out of her way to care for us - and even offered to dry our hiking boots by their stove after we returned from a rainy hike. While the cottage is a bit secluded, it only takes a few minutes to drive to a nearby town with restaurants to choose from. Beautiful home and a wonderful host - would certainly recommend.

A very peaceful stay in a very beautiful place and a very warm welcome from the host. We stayed one night fo r a wedding at Sudeley Castle and the location was perfect. At the recommendation of the host we had breakfast in Winchcombe at food fanatics which we would also recommend.

Absolutely lovely little house in stunning setting. The room has been beautifully renovated and is very comfortable. I loved the privacy that being in my own little house gave! Kathy was a fabulous host. And the breakfast was genuinely one of the most delicious I've ever had. So pleased to have found this little gem.

A lovely place to stay in a very quiet valley with a great view above the village of Wellington Heath. Very good kitchen facilities and a basket of bread and eggs and butter and jam on arrival which was very welcome. Highly recommended. Hope to be back sometime!

Jim's loft is in an amazing location, he was very nice and waited for us even though we checked in late. Having breakfast in the morning with fresh bread & jam and a countryside view was lovely! Definitely recommend the place
