Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Gloucestershire

Loved staying here for a second year in a row. The hideaway hut is tranquil and the perfect break from a busy life. Love nothing more than relaxing in the hot tub and listening to nature surrounding us. Thanks again for another perfect weekend away!

We have had the most wonderful and relaxing weekend in pippin. Getting to spend time in the orchard, meeting the lovely sheep, and enjoying the peace of the space has been amazing. Thank you Katie and Anna for creating such a magical retreat. Hope to be here again soon!

The stay was very much off the beaten track. It was perfect for a bolt hole while visiting Gloucester and Cheltenham. Probably around fifteen to twenty mins in the car to either. The hut is extremely well stocked with everything you would need, yet compact. Good weather helped as we could sit outside for much of our stay and BBQ. The separate shower hut was great. Lots of very hot water and the water supply at the hut was really useful. The animals were very friendly and a cute touch! We named them all in our own way. We had a very relaxing and memorable stay, giving two very best friends the calm setting we both needed to be off-grid and enjoy good food and wine in your beautiful orchard. The welcome pack too! We had the most peaceful and relaxing stay in your gorgeous Shepherd Huts. The perfect place to celebrate my sister-in-law's 60th birthday. Located in a beautiful orchard (homemade apple juice was delicious), the Shepherd Huts were equipped with everything we needed. Lovely touches like bunting, pretty flowers and marshmallows for the firepit added to our stay. Our hosts Anna and Katie were extremely helpful - answering any queries quickly and recommending local pubs for Sunday lunch! Loved meeting their array of farm animals too. Would definitely stay again and perfect location for RHS Malvern Spring Festival. Thank you so much for such a peaceful stay - we didn't want to leave xXx

Just returned after a one night stay, if it's tranquility, calm and beautiful scenery then this is the place for you. Ann was great giving advice and clear instruction on the property. Its so quirky, yet you feel right at home upon entry. Lovely home from home for a short break.

Had a fantastic stay at Stardust’s Shepherd hut. The location was tucked away and private but not miles from shops etc. The hot tub and pizza oven were a great touch. The pigs love the crusts which added to the experience! Would definitely stay again.

We had the most wonderful stay at this shepherd’s hut! It was incredibly cosy and spotlessly clean, yet surprisingly spacious inside. The peaceful surroundings were absolutely beautiful, and we loved seeing the animals right outside our window. Judith was a fantastic host - so warm and welcoming. She went above and beyond, leaving us fresh bread, cupcakes, milk, butter, cereal, and delicious homemade jam and marmalade (everything was so yummy!). She was incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. The hut itself was perfect for a weekend getaway. We were so comfortable we genuinely didn’t want to leave! There was plenty of hot water and the shower was excellent. We also really enjoyed the outdoor seating area. Everything about the stay felt so well thought out and cared for. We absolutely loved it and could easily imagine staying forever! Thank you!

We stayed here to celebrate my birthday. Robyn made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. we used the jacuzzi and made use of the games room. lots of outdoor space to sit and take in your beautiful surroundings. I felt relaxed and very happy. We really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend

We absolutely loved our stay! The hut has everything you need, beautiful and private surroundings and is spotlessly clean. We loved the fire pit and marshmallows! It is within driving of lovely towns and villages and was a lovely and relaxing break away! Would recommend highly! Thank you

We absolutely loved our stay in Liz‘s hut. The hut is even nicer than it looks in the photos and is set in the most beautiful surroundings, with plenty of stunning walks and views around. We loved the hot tub and waking up to the sounds of birds (and sheep!), and the added bonus was the friendly horses in the field next door who would come over to say hello! Liz was the perfect host - so helpful and going above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. We‘ll be back!

Absolutely fantastic break away. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Amy was a wonderfully helpful host. The shepherds hut itself is so well thought out, so quaint but with everything you need. The icing on the cake is the hot tub. All in all, truly fantastic and we would love to go back.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Annettes! It was peaceful and gave us chance to relax. The bed was comfy and the hut was lovely and clean. Annette herself was wonderfully responsive and friendly. We will absolutely come back. Thank you!

The Shepherds Hut was amazing, so cozy, clean and comfortable. Trish has thought of everything. The table and benches turn in to the bed base, with space underneath to store your bags. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The shower was great, towels provided. It's in a really quiet location and we had the added pleasure of seeing a glorious peacock on our arrival ! Trish is a really great host, lots of attention to detail such as: fresh free range eggs, cans of gin and tonic, chocolate biscuits, milk and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Plus marshmallows for melting by a fire and a jar of sweets. Games to play, a folder with details of local pubs (all dog friendly), maps for local walks and booklets of places to visit. We recommend the Red Lion at Castle Eaton, a really friendly and welcoming pub, with very tasty food. We really enjoyed our weekend, so much to do and right in the heart of the Cotswolds. We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Ros and her husband have clearly gone above and beyond to make this shepherds hut lovely. The hut is fantastic - very comfortable and very well stocked. The breakfast was tasty. The area is very beautiful and there is lots of information in the hut about local walks and pubs with clear instructions. Thank you!

Lovely hut for a couples getaway. Nice and clean with everything you need. Good location not far from Gloucester or the Forest of Dean depending on the holiday you want. Adele’s communication was great, very responsive with clear instructions.

Booked Peter's shepherd's hut for a couple of nights away for my husband's birthday. We had a fantastic stay - best weekend away we've had I would say! The hut was immaculate and had everything we needed, Peter had thought of everything. Even had a lovely hamper on arrival, with a hand written welcome note. Peter had heated the hot tub ready for our arrival. Hot tub was super clean and had a lovely view. We used the fire pit to cook burgers on the first night and steak on the second night. We ate whilst looking out at the most spectacular views! Honestly cannot fault a thing about it. Thank you so much Peter, a truly wonderful time had :)

We had a wonderful stay at Helen & Chris’s shepherds hut! They are the perfect hosts—friendly, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. The hut itself is absolutely beautiful, immaculately presented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need. Set on a quiet country lane with stunning views towards the Malvern Hills, it’s the ideal spot for a peaceful countryside retreat. It truly has everything a couple could want for a relaxing escape. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning in the future!

We had a great stay at Shepards View. Super cosy and in such beautiful surroundings - watching the horses in the morning was lovely! The location was perfect aswell, so easy to get to all the places to visit in the Cotswolds. Our dog loved the enclosed garden. Hosts were very helpful, not that we really needed anything but all instructions were helpful! Would highly recommend a stay!

The shepherds rest was just perfect for our stay. It was so cosy and peaceful and was in such a beautiful area with plenty to do. Rachel was so helpful with providing local recommendations and there was also a very useful booklet upon arrival. I would highly recommend and honestly didn’t want to come home!!
