Amazing place with stunning views. Quiet and beautiful. 5 euro for very nice breakfast. A bit far from anything (closest supermarket 15 min drive) but perfect if you want to rest in countryside. Would definitely recommend.

We wanted to be in a quiet location. We were two families with 4 kids - 6yrs-16 Yrs. We loved our stay. What worked for us- Hygiene- high in all rooms and WC. Great, easy to clean kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, crockery, and cutlery. Cooking equipment is gas and was a delight. Toasters etc were very helpful. All rooms with attached WC and one separate guest WC. House is roomy with old stone charm both from the outside as well as inside. Feels very cozy and brought our families together around the dining table and the majestic marble kitchen top. Swimming pool as described is 50m away in the other house. Despite not being the size where one would do laps, interestingly enough the kids adored it for having a soft base- they said they could do swim-acrobatics without hurting themselves! Breakfast was generous, fresh and delicious. Ample public and private parking are available. We shopped fresh vegetables from Il Grillo next doors and had dinners at all places recommended by Eduardo. All proved to be great recommendations. Shopping close by was very convenient. Bakery El Falcone had excellent 'Shekerato' and biscotti. Pharmacy next door is very well stocked, English speaking and friendly. We traveled to the train station close by and parked our car there for the whole day and took a day trip to Firenze. An excellent experience and a welcome break from driving. We also enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food at Elena's Pizzeria which is a 2 km drive up in the mountain. The location of the house is beautiful. Neighbors are friendly and inclusive. Paolo and Eduardo were SUPER responsive to questions and gave tested tips that worked without fail. We loved every aspect of this stay. We would love to visit again.

The house is great for a bigger group of people, we were 12 friends (3 couples) and lived there without problem. Big rooms and a lot of bathrooms, which is a great advantage. The pool is also great, but shared with other guests. The area is a bit removed from everything, but the scenary is amazing. But if you're looking for somewhere with a bit more activity this is not the place for you. For the person looking for a view, a quiet evening and to relax this is exceptional. The host was splendid and went out of his way to help us with everything from finding the perfect day trips to getting back a phone lost on a bus in Milano. Overall a great stay!

Arrivando a Giuncugnano siamo stati accolti molto bene dal padrone di casa, che ci ha fatto trovare biscotti fatti in casa, pane nostrano e salame della zona. Ci ha dato informazioni per la spesa, ma anche per gite e passeggiate. La casa rispecchia in pieno la descrizione dell'annuncio. Ci è sembrato proprio adatta a gruppi come il nostro: 4 famiglie con bambini. C'è infatti un buon equilibrio tra camere con bagno privato e aree comuni (cucina, salotto e sala da pranzo). Proprio una bella vacanza!

El lugar es un paraíso y la casa superó nuestras expectativas. Casona de 1780, muy cómoda, encantadora y reciclada a nuevo, conservando los detalles de la época. Era la casa que buscábamos para nuestras vacaciones: cómoda, rodeada de lindo paisaje, en un pueblo muy ameno. Reocmendable para pasar unas vacaciones tranquilas, lejos del ruido y cerca de lugares muy bonitos.

Siamo stati in questo alloggio per Capodanno perché volevamo fare delle escursioni tra le colline/montagne. Il luogo in cui è ubicato è incantevole, di fronte all'appennino, immerso nella natura e nel silenzio. Ideale per chi vuole staccare dalla vita quotidiana. Umberto è disponibilissimo per qualsiasi cosa, e molto cordiale. La casa è grande e spaziosa ed ha tutto il necessario. Top è il camino!

Just returned from a superb 8 night stay with the family (Mum, Dad , 4 children aged 11-17yrs, and small dog) at Quintilia's beautiful house in the Garfagnana region of Northern Tuscany. The house was stunning- very typically Italian, with traditional features- the ceiling in the second lounge was stunning. If you like the authenitc feel, then this is for you. The property was much larger than we had expected from the picures, and all the rooms were very spacious other than the kitchen which was small, but perfectly adequate and kitted out for our needs (cooking for a family of 6). The garden was large and very pretty and well kept, with plenty of space for our four children to play- loungers, parasols, and a great pool which was brand new, clean, and a good size- the kids loved it!! There was a beautiful balcony from the main bedroom with breathtaking views into the Apuan Alps and Tuscany Hills- really not done justice by the photos on the website. Quite a tricky area to get to if you aren't used to windy Italian county roads, but once there, a perfect base from which to explore. The immediate area is perfect for walking- stunning lakes, forests, and hills- plenty of options for admiring the wildlife- we spotted emperor butterflies, hundreds of little lizards, and even found porcupine spines. If you are into cycling, you'll love it- our son cycles competively and the surrounding roads offered perfect training- great hill climbs and some really good hairpins. We took day trips to Florence, Pisa, and Lucca- all well worth the journey (Florence was furthest- approx 2hrs- make sure you leave early to avoid queues and to allow time for parking). Barga is most local and had a lovely authentic Italian feel- we attended the Barga Jazz Fertival- a real treat. Topping all this however, was the welcome we felt from Quintilia and her husband Roberto (who live about 100 metres away in the village), and Quintilia's wonderful parents (our immediate neighbours). You couldn't ask for more warm-hearted, kind, and obliging people, who respected our privacy, but were equally at hand for anything we needed- for example, Quintilia spent at least half an hour helping us book tickets over the phone for the Uffizi Gallery which we could never have done on our own! Quintilia's father has a small farm and brought us vegetables during our stay, and her mother even made us two amazing fruit tortes- delicious- we felt spoilt! Saying goodbye was hard, as even in such a short time they had made all of us feel like part of the family. We were also lucky enough to come when the village's annual Potato festival is held, and we were so impressed with the community spirit, and the delicious traditional food. In summary, we loved it. Our first Airbnb experience as a family, and we would recommend 100%. Thank you so much Quintilia. If only we had stayed for longer!(URL HIDDEN)

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Quintilia's house very much. The building is large and has three bedrooms. The bathroom with the shower is very clean. And it has a beautiful garden with a wonderful view. Just in fall and winter it might become cold inside very quickly. Quintilia has a lovely family. One day they even brought us a basket with vegetables and nuts from their own organic farming. We had a very warmly reception and all the communication went very smoothly and quickly. We loved this place! The house is located in a beautifull place with the most amazing view from your own grand garden. It's spectacular! We were very happy with the hospitality of Quintilia and her lovely family. The house had everything you need and more. We can definitely recommend this gem!

Our family with two kids (6 and 9 years old) have stayed in the Quintilia’s house and have very much enjoyed our stay. Quintilia and her family was super friendly, warm- hearted, welcoming and helpful. After few days in the house, we felt like a part of the family. The house is even better than on the pictures – very clean (the house was recently renovated), spacious, comfortable. The house has everything you would need – fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, towels etc. The house has a big balcony with a million dollar panoramic view on the mountains! Just wow! The swimming pool is clean and refreshing, there are few chaise longs and umbrella. Big grocery store is just 1 km away from the house. There is a children playground and soccer/football field nearby. The village is quite, set for the family relaxing vacation. We would definitely recommend Quintilia’s house for the stay!

Le foto non rendono assolutamente giustizia! super accessoriata e Il giardino e la piscina sono meravigliosi. Panorama mozzafiato. E anche i genitori di Quintilia, vicini di casa, sono stati disponibili e molto socievoli. La posizione è comodissima per visitare la Garfagnana. Consigliatissimo!

Our family had a great time at the beautiful house in the mountains. Edoardo is a great host who spoiled us with delicious home made breakfasts every morning. The fresh berries with yoghurt from the region and Edoardo's mum home made cakes were the best. The house has a great view of the mountains and is located within short distances from some amazing hiking routes. I definitely recommend this place for a relaxing enjoyable holiday.

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the northern Tuscany. Placed in a little village it is very calm with a great view over the Apennin and still not to far away from some beautiful italian cities like Barga or Luca!

Es war eine tolle Urlaub. Wella hat sich Zeit genommen, um uns einige wunderbare Orte zu zeigen, die wir so nie gefunden hätten. Das Haus ist rustikal, mit viel Charme, genauso wie der kleine Ort mit seinen Einwohnern und der kleinen Bar von Danjela. Wir kommen bestimmt noch ein mal.

Been travelling Europe for a month and by far best bnb we stayed at ! Hosts treated us like family couldn't ask for better hospitality. Great Italian experience will defiantly be coming back great spot to relax get away from the city.

Carlo and Silvia are absolutley amazing hosts! We had such a beautiful stay there, we extended for another night. You won't believe how secluded this place is. It is really far in the mountains in the most beautiful countryside. The views are incredible. Silvia and Carlo are extremely good at hosting, they invite you to dinner, for BBQs and they even made a cake for us ! I was completely overwhelmed by how beautiful this place is !

Our trip at Gitte's house was really perfect ! The whole house is even better in real than those pictures, this is a huge house and so charming and the town is very warm. All the neighbors was nice as well. Gitte is here for any question and she answered very quickly, she even have some recommandations about how you can spend the week there and I swear you want to spend at least one day at her secret bath place ! Our trip was perfect, thanks to Gitte ! I would recommend this house without a doubt.

Beautifully renovated house, very well equipped, a combination of old and modern. Very quiet place, surrounded by gardens, mountains and beautiful walks. Francesca and grandmother are wonderful, caring and generous hosts. We are looking forward to coming back.

Excellent séjour chez Francesca !!! Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !!! Elle est très disponible, tout comme sa famille qui habite à proximité, mais sans être envahissante. Le village est très petit, très clame et très joli. Idéal pour se reposer. Grande terrasse sans vis à vis et le logement est juste impeccable ! Très propre, très grand et agréable. Rien n'y manque. Francesca laisse en plus de gentilles attentions à ses hôtes (gâteaux pour le petit déjeuner, affaires de douches...). Nous y reviendrons sans hésiter !

L'appartamento si trova in un piccolo borgo della Lunigiana ideale per chi cerca tranquillità anche nelle settimane di agosto. E' molto carino e accogliente, dotato di tutto l'occorrente, e c'è anche una spaziosa terrazza per mangiare all'aperto. Francesca è molto gentile e disponibile. Ottimo per chi ama il relax e le passeggiate in montagna.

Vacanza in un contesto naturale, immerso nella campagna e nel silenzio. Possibilità di assaggiare cibi tipici locali a chilometro zero (latte e formaggi prodotti in zona, cucina casalinga). In un'ora di macchina siamo arrivati a Pisa, Lucca, e al mare. Ideale per famiglie anche numerose. Accoglienza calorosa e gentile. Casa semplice ma con ogni comfort.

Francesca was really friendly and helpful. Antognano is a very small village among the mountains, it has just a few houses but a good starting point to explore the beautiful Tuscany aera. It was an exiting experience to stay at the 200 years old house furnished with antique furniture . The apartment is clean and specious, very convenient for 4 person. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

What a wonderful experience! Such welcoming and comforting hosts. Francesca was very knowledgable and was helpful in any way she could. A lovely cheese and charcuterie platter was placed in the fridge on arrival, we got great tips of the area for local food etc. via text message and we could even stay longer as there were no following guests. Stunning views over the surrounding mountains and valley; this is an absolute must to visit if you wish to explore Tuscany!

We had a wonderful vacation in Francesca and Paolo's house. It is spacious, very clean, with all the amenities needed. Everything in the house is arranged with a good taste. Antognano is a wonderful place, where we would like very much to come back - here you can enjoy the silence, the beauty of the nature and take a part of a good sleep. It was a pleasure to meet Francesca an Paolo and to enjoy their company!

Francesca and Paolo made our dream of a beautiful Italian vacation come true beyond our expectations. They are so welcoming and at the same time so respectful and accommodating. We grew very attached to the richly historical features of their house and village and felt right at home. Anotgnano will remind you of all the Italian hill villages you've seen in movies. Wake up to friendly sounds of small village life and enjoy commanding views of the Alps and valleys below. Francesca and Paolo shared some of their favorite foods, wines, and day trip destinations eager to make our stay memorable. They were both so kind and loving to our 12 year old daughter. In short, we did not want to leave. It is a perfect place from which to explore the Garfagnana and Apuan Alps. The Cinque Terra and Lucca are easy day trips by train or car. Stop at La Bonta del Passo for appetizers and local food specialties. Visit the nature preserve at Orecchiella. Swim at Lago Vagli. If you like to stay out of the touristic fray, this is the place for you.
