We are offering our family holiday home we've used for a number of years on Todber Valley Holiday Park. Todber Valley is a quiet holiday park with a good bar/restaurant, play areas for the children, a small store offering all the essentials and a launderette all within 100 meters of the holiday home. There are on site areas for dog walking, with immediate access to beautiful countryside located literally on the borders between Lancashire, The Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland (an AONB).
The Holiday home is a 35 x 12 foot Caravan with an open living-dining kitchen area with comfy seating a dining table. The double bedroom has ample wardrobes and a door into the main bathroom. Main bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. There is also a toilet room adjacent to the twin bedroom.
The park feels very much like a quiet neighbourhood. It feels more like a gated community than a holiday park. Most people on the park are residential therefore the upkeep and the tidiness of the park is exceptional compared to some that can feel a bit rough.
  • A lovely little Caravan, clean and comfortable, especially the bed after a long days walking. Great communication from the initial enqiry and throughout booking procedure. Ryan met me with warm welcome and offered great local advise. Had a lovely break away with the dogs and will definately be back again, thanks to you both for your hospitality 😃

  • Great value and good size static caravan. Great play area on site for our kid.

    Sam2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay- Ruth could not have been more helpful, meeting us at the property and running through things with us. Clean, well-appointed and very cosy, we had a lovely few days and enjoyed exploring the local area. We would love to come back in the summer months. The adventure playground was a big hit with our kids too! Thank you for having us.

  • Ideal caravan, amazing value for money. Has a homely feel about it. ryan(the host) was great, met us at the caravan perfectly on time and was welcoming. Would recommend.

    Dwaine2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Ryan's property. So much so that we booked an extra night. The caravan is clean, with good sized living area, bathroom and bedrooms. The hosts were really friendly and responded quickly. The site is nice and quiet and the plot is at the far end of a row of caravans with a small private garden which was great for the dog. The steamer pub is a short walk away and there's a good park area for kids. There are plenty of plates, mugs and cutlery, however not a lot of glasses but bath towels are provided and the beds are very comfortable. We hope to stay again in the future.

The lovely thoughtful touch of mini Christmas tree, Christmas card, and little goody bag (which we throughly enjoyed!!) was a very kind gesture, the views even in winter where spectacular...and plenty of places to visit locally, if you are wanting to eat, the White bull in the village had fantastic food!! • Lynne's caravan is beautiful with amazing views. She has thought of everything from coffee, tea, juice and snacks to all other home comforts such as throws, heaters, toiletries. The view is fantastic and even though the weather wasn't good enough for us to be able to sit outside, it's a great enclosed space that will be a perfect place to relax in the warmer weather and summer evenings. Lynne responded really quickly to my messages and it was good to know she was on hand as they live a couple of doors away. We can't wait to book again.

  • I stayed at Lynne’s with my partner and our 1 year old daughter while visiting family in Read over Christmas. We had a lovely stay at Lynne’s place. Lynne and her husband were amazing hosts, and were very flexible regarding our check-in. Lynne replies to messages almost immediately, and couldn’t have done more to make sure we had a good stay. The caravan was beautifully decorated and spotless. It was much warmer and cosier than we expected, and we only regretted not being able to spend more time there. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend to others.

Clitheroe - 7 miles away is the ancient market town of Clitheroe, on the edge of Lancashire’s Forest of Bowland, one of England’s 36 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Clitheroe dates back to Saxon times so by the time the imposing 12th century Norman Castle that towers over the town had been built, Clitheroe had already been around for nearly 1,000 years! Clitheroe Castle, said to be the smallest Norman castle in England, is now home to a Museum and 16 acres of landscaped gardens, which houses attractions to appeal to all ages. Holmes Mill and the Bowlands Beer Hall is a must see, one of the longest bars in Britain – 105ft 4”- and is home to 42 hand pulls and hosts a minimum of 24 individual cask beers at any one time. The decor and design are decidedly industrial but the ambience and the atmosphere are warm and vibrant. Colne - 8 miles away over beautiful hills with quaint pubs and small coffee houses along the way. Drop into busy Colne where you can find highstreet shops and supermarkets such as Matalan, TX Maxx, Next, Sainsbury's, Aldi and Lidl. McDonald's and KFC onsite too. Boundry Mills - High-street fashion, homeware and electronic brands housed in split-level shopping development. Visit nearby Skipton Market Town with the 900 year old Skipton Castle, busy cobbled street market, high-street shops and the wonderful canal-side with restaurants, cafe's and a wide variety of public houses and craft breweries. Settle - challenge yourself to the famous Yorkshire 3 Peaks or just the one! Don't forget to visit the famous Horton in Ribblesdale train station. Also nearby are:- Pendle Hill and Gisburn Forest - great for just a walk or follow the cycle routes. Pendle Waves Leisure Centre - slides, waves and waterside cafe, great for kids. Pendle Hill Witches - Beneath the hill lie pretty villages which tell a story of intrigue and witchcraft nearly 400 years old. You can retrace their steps on the Pendle Witches Walking Trail, or the Pendle Witches Road Trail, as well as the Pendle Sculpture Trail, where you have to find the “ witches” dotted through the woodland.
  • Lovely little dog friendly caravan on a family friendly site with picturesque views and great walks from the doorstep. Brilliant little pub/restaurant on site that provided entertainment (Saturday), singer and higher/lower game. Only 20 mins from Skipton which has a brilliant Saturday market and a fantastic park called Airedale, great for both adults and kids. We will definitely return to Nicky and Paul’s caravan in the future as it was warm, welcoming and clean.

Messages were replied to very quickly and we could not have asked for more. Extra little touches, like chocolates and biscuits being left were really lovely and appreciated. We were warm and cosy, despite the very cold temperatures outside. We did not have time to explore the site properly or the area, but the views were beautiful and we hope to return again. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would highly recommend.

We were also impressed that it everything we needed and more, especially noted things that are sometimes missing from rental places, such as a bottle opener, cling film, decent wine glasses etc. Eileen was really helpful and a great host. Would definitely recommend for a good value short break.

  • Had a great weekend here over the bank holiday weekend. Caravan itself is spotless and there a loads of personal touches which made the stay even more enjoyable. The organisation of the booking and the instructions to check in were excellent. Both the indoor and outdoor areas of the caravan were very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you would need. Bathroom is a good size as are the bedrooms. The site itself is well laid out with amazing views of Pendle hill and the dales. There is a large kids playground on site and the bar is also great for kids and and adults. There’s plenty to do in the area, we had amazing weather over the weekend. We visited Edisford bridge in clitheroe which is a park near the river where kids can go as it is shallow. On Sunday we visited Bolton abbey which is another lovely place both for adults and kids with some great scenery and walks. All in all a perfect relaxing weekend. I would imagine we’ll be returning at some point. Hopefully with the same weather.

  • Great chalet, very well maintained, clean - Eileen extremely helpful

    Jon2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location, as expected with a caravan you can hear everything! Clean and all equipment you need. Pub on site looked nice but didn’t have a chance to try

    Nikki2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for exploring this part of the country on a quiet caravan site. I fully intend to return when I am next back in the UK. The caravan was well equipped with extra bedding and heaters should hey be needed. As this is a private rental, if you're used to renting static caravans through Park Dean, etc this should leave you pleasantly surprised.

  • Great last minute booking for a few quite days with our family close to the Yorkshire dales, the caravan was sparkly clean and had everything you needed. This little onsite pub is great and so is the park for children. Nicky was very responsive. Thank you

    Laura2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The caravan was perfectly clean, very spacious and had a very homely feel to it! Was perfect for our getaway and would definitely recommend. Hopefully be back again soon. P.s Exceptionally amazing shower!

    James2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, cosy caravan for a quick escape to the country. The caravan was very spacious for the two of us, had excellent facilities (good kitchen facilities, great shower, good heating system and great TV and wifi). Couldn't fault it at all. The weather was terrible so it was really nice to have 3 nights in in front of the TV with the fire on. Will definitely return!

    Dave2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • A spotlessly clean van in a lovely location with lots of thoughtful touches. Nicky replies extremely quickly to enquires and was kind enough to leave the lights on ready for our late arrival. We will definitely return for another visit!

    Sarah2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The caravan is one of the best ones we have stayed in, lovely and warm and comfortable and the shower for a caravan was amazing. The site was abit of a let down but only because we had children and wasnt much to do onsite, and bar staff at the bar there were quite rude when we asked if they will still serving food at 8pm and they werent even though was advertised till much later, but this no fault of the host and like said the caravan was beautiful and so were the views. If want a cosy caravan to visit surrounding areas like skipton which is also beautiful then this is a great place to stay.

    Jade2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed at the caravan for a two night weekend with my family. Lovely and spacious caravan, very cosy and warm, on a lovely, quiet site with beautiful views. Location is stunning, Pendle Hill literally opposite the entrance to the park. Very well equipped caravan, beds very comfy. Great hot shower. Perfect home from home and highly recommend. Will be definitely back here again in the Summer.

  • Sharon was a great host - thoughtful and considerate and gave us everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The house was perfect for me and my 3 kids. They loved the "little house" on the top floor with 2 doubles and a single yet plenty of space. The house was cosy and warm our entire stay and there was plenty of sofa space for the 4 of us to snuggle up and watch tv in front of the fire. Really good location too with all the amenities of Barnoldswick right on your doorstep. We walked to the leisure center (15mins) and went for a swim. Great pool! Thank you again Sharon!

Barnoldswick is located between the Ribble Valley, the district of Pendle and the Yorkshire Dales. Its a smallish town with enough shops and not overly busy. There are great walks locally as well as easy access by car to the surrounding areas. This house is part of 19th century terraces for mill workers. Built very solidly, no noise problem through the walls. Generally a family, working- and middle-class area.
  • I booked Chris’s place last minute, had no problem getting the key for access! I met Chris and his little girl really friendly host and such a polite little girl 💓 the room is a lovely basic nice size, and I slept like a baby.. I only stayed for a couple nights, but would definitely stay again! Great Host, Great Room 👍🏻

    Mustafa2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, Warm, Comfortable. As a solo traveller I feel much safer staying in Airbnb’s. Chris is a great host. He’s kind and welcoming. He offers everything needed for a home away from home experience. He was even thoughtful enough to check on me after I checked out. His home is clean; the room is large and, the bed is super comfy. I slept better at Chris’s than I do at home. Looking forward to my next stay.

  • Great host and a great price

    Clive2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, made me very welcome. The room was spacious and clean with two heating options. There is a large bathroom down the Hallway which although shared was freely accessible. I didn't do any cooking but the kitchen was available and seemed to have most things needed, I even had my own fridge space. I would stay again for sure as the price was at least half that of other rentals or guest houses/pubs in the area.

    Heather2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Chris will give you freedom within his home, always polite and nothing is a problem. It’s not 5* but it’s his home and you are not paying even 2* prices, it’s a great compromise. He’s made sure the room is warm all the time and it has all the basics including a big comfortable bed. You have complete privacy and you have a lock on the door if you need it. You are very central to Barnoldswick (a quiet town that can be lively if timed right) with all amenities open until about 21/22:00 and pubs/take aways open till late. Would stay again for general ease and value for money, thanks Chris

    Steven2019-12-05T00:00:00Z

Holly Toft is a lovingly converted, stone cottage, perched on the edge of a drumlin hill, overlooking the beautiful rolling countryside of the Ribble Valley. With uninterrupted panoramic views of the Forest of Bowland, the majestic hills of Whernside, Pen-y-ghent and Ingleborough, it truly is a special place. Whilst mature lime trees stand guard in front of the property, Weets Hill looms spectacularly nearby. Relax in front of the woodburning stove whilst drinking in the views.
Holly Toft has a large, lofty, light filled living room with breathtaking views of Weets Hill and the Trough of Bowland, comfy leather sofas and a contemporary woodburning stove. An HD TV with Freesat and WiFi access, enables you to keep in touch with the world. The TV is for watching TV and not for reconfiguring for games though. Move seamlessly through the doorway into the large open plan kitchen/ dining area which is spacious and well equipped with a cooker, hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Turn right through the door into the bedroom where you'll find a large comfortable bed with soft feathery pillows, then explore the stylish shower room beyond.
Walks from the doorstep stretch in every direction. A roman road beckons from across the meadows, the summit of Weets Hill is a tantalising afternoon stroll. Explore the Leeds to Liverpool canal offering walks in either direction, enjoy helping the narrowboats navigate the lock system of Barnoldswick, the highest point on the longest canal in Britain. Good eateries abound and for a cafe lunch walk up the ginnel from Bridge 153 into the Esse cafe and enjoy beautifully prepared food. Pop into town and enjoy our gastro pub, The Fountain, Barlick Tap which is a friendly micro brewery and Chewies, a great gin bar. For a lively music scene and great food especially breakfast, you can’t beat the Music and Arts Centre where Pete Barton (the Animals 60’s group “The house of the rising sun” fame) has his mates round for cracking evenings jamming in the basement bar. The Greyhound also has good guest beers and lively bands at the weekends. Check them out online and schedule your itinerary ! Scare yourself half to death on a ghost tour of Clitheroe Castle with Simon Armitage, resplendent in a top hat, plumb the depths exploring an underground cave system at Ingleton or try an exhilarating Landrover experience nearby. Fancy a trip on a steam train? The Settle Carlisle line awaits. Or love steam engines? Bancroft Mill Steam Engine Museum is a short walk away with steaming days throughout the year. Imagine walking in the footsteps of J..R. R. Tolkien, a five and a half mile trek through the Ribble Valley on the Lord of the Rings Trail. A little further afield is Pendle Hill, of Pendle Witch fame, which is great for an afternoon stroll. For the more energetic Malham Cove and the Three Peaks is an unmissable challenge, or bring your bike and follow the Tour de Yorkshire route! Hire bikes from wickedbikezltd @ hotmail dot com, have them delivered to Holly Toft, then peddle along the towpaths or tackle the Ribble Valley trails. Holly Toft has information on a plethora of things to do, see and experience, come rain or shine! As a guest at Holly Toft you’ll be provided with a starter pack of wood and firelighters, two towels each, two bath robes for hot tub use, and linen for the bed, a tea towel, oven glove and dishcloth, shower gel and liquid soap. Holly Toft provides battery powered flickering candles as lit wax candles, which are a naked flame, are prohibited under the insurance schedule as is smoking, due to the fire risk. If you stay for four days or more, a variety of bathroom products is provided. A starter pack of tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar will be waiting for you when you arrive. For information, Holly Toft is steam cleaned between guests and vinegar is used to ensure 100% of virus’s are eliminated without the need of harmful chemicals.
  • Holly Toft is a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful space, with a fabulous hot tub. Kathryn is a warm, friendly and relaxed host. There if you need her and quick to respond, but otherwise very unobtrusive. Lots of walking locally and a short stroll into bustling Barnoldswick. Highly recommended.

  • This was the second time we have been and the novelty did not wear off at all! It was just as special the second time round as the first! We absolutely love the log burner it’s so cosy and comforting of a night time and the hot tub is absolutely amazing. So relaxing after a long walk taking in all of the beautiful surroundings that barnoldswick has to offer! Kathryn is an amazing host and really goes above and beyond. The cottage has always been so clean and very nicely presented! On both visits we have had scones and a bottle of bubbly and they were a lovely touch. Thanks again Kathryn, can’t wait to return.

  • I wish I could give this 10 stars. Kathryn is a wonderful host, super quick to respond. She added such lovely personal touches to the property to make our stay even more special. It’s a gorgeous place - highly recommend this as a peaceful stay. The property was spotless and Kathryn went beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to hand. There are over 20 local circular walks and we loved exploring. We didn’t venture too much into town as we really wanted to see the countryside. We loved the hot tub and rang in our new year as we hoped. The fireplace is gorgeous and we relishes just relaxing with a proper roaring fire while watching movies on netflix. Thank you Kathryn for making our start to 2020 so memorable.

The local pub, the Brown Cow, is highly recommended. Great service, great beer and food and dog friendly and only 5 minutes walk away. Lovely area to explore too. Cannot recommend highly enough - friendly village and great hosts. Will be back!

Welcome to Pickles Cottage, a traditional stone-built millworker's end-terrace cottage in the delightful town of Barnoldswick, Lancashire, formerly in the West Riding of Yorkshire. The town centre is less than ten minutes' walk, and hosts some lovely cafés, pubs and independent shops.
We've set up Pickles Cottage to be a convenient and functional home from home. There's a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and the all the usual items. The lounge diner has a comfortable sofa and armchair, TV with all Freeview and many other channels (streamed via Amazon Fire TV Stick), USB charging sockets, a dining table and chairs, and a wood-burning stove. More strenuous walks abound further out of town, with Pendle Hill a favourite to the west, the moors surrounding town, the Yorkshire Dales and glorious Pennine countryside. To the west of town, you run into Colne, Nelson and on to Burnley. Numerous mill shops and other retail experiences dot the area, and you can pick up some great bargains. Large, spacious pet and family friendly caravan on a quiet holiday site. Open 12 months of the year. Explore the glorious Yorkshire Dales, Brontè Country in Haworth, the Lake District and the infamous Pendle Hill (Pendle Witches 1612 trial)...far too many other places to mention. You may just want to escape the hustle and bustle to take time to recharge your batteries; if this is you then I can highly recommend.
My holiday home is in a quiet and relaxing spot right next to a stream with 180 degree uninterrupted views of the glorious countryside. There is a large enclosed veranda that is not overlooked. This is an ideal place for family time or relaxation time...youwill not be disappointed. I have many returning families.

My cottage is in a beautiful village in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are wonderful walks/cycling routes right from the front door. We are spoilt for choice as there are many fantastic pubs and restaurants close by. The market town of Clitheroe is only a couple of miles away with great bars, a variety of food options and of course, a castle. My place is suitable for couples, families, solo adventurers and business travellers.
My cottage is very cosy in Winter with a gas wood burning stove. Equally there is a lovely patio garden which guests are welcome to use in Summer time.
We live in an idyllic village environment in a residential area. My cottage is therefore not suitable for people who want to party all night. Respect for my neighbours is paramount and lack of it by my guests will not be tolerated.
  • Gill's place is a sweet escape to cosy cortege nestled in the countryside. The living room is comfortable, warm and cosy, and the kitchen has a decór that Cath Kidston would be proud of. The location is literally 10 steps to a Spar and Post office, and minutes to Clitheroe and other beautiful places. To top it all off, the shower is hot and strong after a day out walking!!

  • Had a fantastic weekend at Gill’s! Arrived on Friday to a warm and cosy cottage in a quiet village - really easy to find! Was blown away by the attention to detail, the place has such character with a lovely modern twist. The whole house was spotless and we were happy to find some essentials for breakfast waiting in the kitchen for us! Beds were super comfy, excellent shower (could do with a lock on the bathroom door though!/couldn’t figure it out if it did), and basically we all had a fantastic weekend - only a 5-10 minute drive from the wedding venue that we were at on the Saturday night. Definitely recommend the pork pies and bacon from the butchers (less than a minute walk away)! Thank you so much Gill for your hospitality - highly recommend!

  • This is a lovely characterful house with beautiful furniture and a homely feel. We've stayed three times and I'm sure we'll be back.

  • This is a brilliant place to stay - extremely stylish and comfortable. The pictures really don't do it justice. Also, well situated for local sight-seeing with good eating places and a shop just next door.

Hi there, I'm Jack and this is my spare room. It has a comfortable double bed with quality mattress in a quite Terrace in central Barnoldswick. It's a short 2 minute walk to Coop and the main bus station. There's beautiful country walks from the house up local hill 'The Weets' which has spectacular sunsets. You will have a private bedroom and access to a shared bathroom with a bath and walk in shower. The property is shared with me. I am quite and tidy. I work at a local factory.

  • The place was great, lots of parking, great country side location, very clean. Would recommend to others, lovely Chinise at the end of the road (maybe jade fountain it was called) short drive to large supermarkets and town.

  • Lovely house with lovely surrounding area. Absolutely amazing hosting cellar and bar. James allowed delivery of hot tub from another supplier for the weekend. Quick responses and contact throughout weekend as required. My only advise is if hosting for large party to ensure you take large pots and pans with you if cooking, and if taking a baby / toddler you have to take a high chair and cot with you- Though there is plenty of space in each room for these and accommodation is safe and functional for children and adults. Highly recommended booking and likely to book again for future gatherings.

  • I selected the B&B as Dave and Val looked to have a nice place to stay and had been reviewed as superhost. They lived up the expectation provided by previous reviews. Dave was very welcoming and accommodating from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. We had a family room that was spacious with everything that we needed and additional touches to make the stay more comfortable. We had breakfast the day after which was superb and a pleasant chat on checkout. Would be more than happy to stay again. Thank you

  • Great little country retreat..clean rooms in a farm-like setting in the country. Not a place to go if you want to be "in the middle of the action" but superb if you want countryside peace..lovely walks or bicycle rides etc. Bellybuster breakfast a superb addition and well worth the small extra cost. Thanks

  • Dave and Val are very warm and welcoming, the place was easy to find using directions given and enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The room was very clean and comfortable, a good nights sleep was had by all . The breakfast was delicious too and would highly recommend.

  • I booked a room here for my partner and two boys and our dog who were travelling on without me, so personally didn't experience the place, but reports from the boys were very positive. Dave and Val super friendly and helpful hosts, clear instructions on how to reach them, the room very nice and beds very comfortable. And the breakfast far exceeded expectations! I had some issues with booking for some unknown reason but Dave and Val were really helpful. Definitely recommend.
