Places to stay in Garvagh

Places to stay in Garvagh
We provide Bothy style accommodation in an old converted barn. It is somewhere to cook, sleep and shower. We are situated in a beautiful central location. BEDDING IS NOT SUPPLIED. We can supply bedding bundles at £2 pp[sleeping bag, liner, pillow].
For all your sight seeing, hill walking and general outdoor pursuits requirements we provide muddy boot-friendly accommodation. OUR AIM IS TO FREE UP YOUR BUDGET FOR THE FUN STUFF AND NOT WASTE IT ON THE LYING DOWN STUFF. As a travelling mountain biker, fisherman and general outdoorsy type, it always struck me how little budget muddy boot friendly accommodation there is in this country when Scotland, England and Wales have it in spades. So speaking as an outdoor pursuits enthusiast I don't need doilies, trouser press and a row of stars on the front door of my accommodation. Just somewhere warm, dry a good shower and at a reasonable price. We already have a fishery here where there is a small campsite but for those doing something more physically demanding, a tent isn't always the first choice. this is where our converted barn "BURT'S BOTHY" comes in. It is old and not fancy but it has a solid fuel stove for heat and cooking, a hot shower, 6 beds, a TV and playstation. No doilies or trouser press and the only stars you might see will be in the night sky. We have secure lockup and wash bay. Bedding is not supplied, but for those who are traveling light and dont have sleeping bags, bedding bundles can be supplied at a cost of £2 pp. They consist of a sleeping bag and liner[double or single] also pillow and pillow case.
WE are nestled in the foot hills of the Sperrin hills with views right over co Antrim. The town land is called Glenullin {glen of the eagle} and is just over a mile away from the old market town of Garvagh. It is a hill farming area with a strong sense of community and a relaxed pace. While there are lots of things to do the area lends itself self very well to just kicking back and soaking up the solitude.
  • A handy accommodation suitable for walkers, hikers and dog owners especially. Felt like an escape from the norm, even though there was wi-fi, a hot shower and plenty of dvds to choose from! Recommended for those with four-legged friends.

  • We are just back from a weekend at "The Bothy" and it was an amazing stay! Burt stopped to chat to us during the weekend and is really lovely. He had the fire lit for our arrival which was really welcoming given the weather. To be able to have our dogs stay with us made it even better. Plus it was exactly as described. We met the 2 wee resident dogs and the peacocks. Sadly the weather was against us so we stayed indoors mostly but still had a fantastic stay. We will most definitely be back again in the warmer weather.

  • Perfect location for a little get-away. Very helpful and friendly host that can provide you with all the information you need. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely recommend it!

  • We had an amazing stay at the Bothy, we were amazed by the space that we stayed in and how homely and cosy it was. It was an added benefit being able to take our dogs with us for the night, they enjoyed it just as much as we did! We will definitely be back to stay soon, such an amazing gem sitting right on our doorstep. Amazing!!

The Byre is an old stone built cattle shed which is converted to an accommodation block with fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms which sleep five, bathroom and living room. It has its own private parking and is well of the main Road with panoramic views of County Antrim .
The accommodation is cosy with oil fired central heating. It is geared towards the outdoorsy type of traveller by keeping things functional rather than fussy. There are walks close by, both in Errigal Glen and Garvagh forest. We are set on a 5 acre site with its own fishing lakes and an uninterrupted view for many miles. Yes it is reasonably remote with little light pollution for star gazing and no road noise at all.
We are 2 miles from Garvagh town which has shops, restaurants and bars. Giants Causeway and the north coast is a 30/40 minute drive, the walled City of Londonderry 30 minutes and Belfast 50 minutes.
  • My fiancé and I very much enjoyed our stay here! It’s a great little base for travelling around and house itself was lovely!

    Reece2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Burt is a great host, very accommodating and he has a fabulous space that is not only snug and stylish but reasonably priced. Anyone looking to explore the sperrins/derry area should definitely consider stopping by!

  • Really great place that's actually a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures on Airbnb. The bed was comfy and the shower has a feature that shows the temperature. Remember to close the door when cooking breakfast, as I forgot. Few dogs came in looking for bacon

My place is close to the North Coast which is renowned for its beauty and golf facilities, Game of Thrones locations, Giant's Causeway, beaches, fishing and walking. It is located approx. 40 minutes from Belfast International airport and Derry. You’ll love my place because of the peaceful surroundings and its central location. The Brown Trout Inn is close by which has golf facilities and a restaurant. Ireland's oldest thatched pub with traditional music, The Crosskeys Inn, is close by.
My home is set in mature gardens with a farm, ideal for those seeking quiet and peaceful surroundings. The house dates from 1840 and is full of character and original features. I can accommodate young children by putting a mattress on the floor of the bedroom. I have another bedroom in a similar listing so can accommodate families.
Aghadowey is rural but nowhere is too far away. The Brown Trout inn is close by - less than 1 mile away. It has a bar, restaurant and golf facilities...thoroughly recommended for its delicious food.
  • It is a great experience in the Irish countryside with good advice for visits. Simplicity and friendliness are at the rendezvous.

  • Beautiful, quaint home in a lovely area and a lovely host.

  • I feel cheated that we didn't have more time to spend at Rozzy's because I would have loved to have been there for a week. The house is not perfect--it's a house on a farm, after all. But if you have a love of history, any slight aesthetic gaps are well-overcome by the gorgeous bones of the place and the maps and original, antique art on the walls. The biggest draw, however, is Rozzy herself. She is warm, easy to talk to (would have spent days in her dining room over a pot of tea had we not had other obligations), and very accommodating. Her hospitality was wonderful, and her attention to our son--who found lots of toys available for him to play with--was so appreciated. She took our 4 year old out to feed the cows and sheep and then sent us pics she had taken. He did NOT want to leave either. (Parents, if you've never booked on a farm, do it...and choose this one). Breakfast was simple, but frankly, just the home-baked bread is enough of a draw. We are planning another trip to N. Ireland because we missed some sights, and will be staying with Rozzy again! Thanks, Rozzy and Hermione!

    Laura2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • It was like visiting your favourite aunt. Our stay was pleasant, Rozzy was a lovely host with a lot of tips for someone visiting the coast, and a nice conversation partner. We will definetely visit her again when we're around.

    Łukasz2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The place is really warm and typical...and the bed...is like to sleep in the cloud. One of the softest you could ever try! Rozzy is a really nice and interesting person, hope to see her again!

    Simone2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Rozzy is so kind and helpful to know the area. Beds are amazing! And her wheaten bread is some of the best we had.

    Andrea2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house dates from 1840. The experience is unique and Rozzy is very welcoming. For a quiet place I recommend this house. The bathroom is private and clean. Thanks for everything Rozzy.

    Caroline2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Rozzy's was perfect. The room was exactly as in the picture and beds super comfy. We could not meet Rozzy but she was in constant communication so we weren't lost.

The property was sparkling clean, warm and comfortable and Ian provides many additional items such as toiletries, bread, milk, crisps etc. The house is very central and within walking distance to a range of shops, eateries and bars. Highly recommend a stay here.

  • The Appartment is great but the surroundings are amazing!! It's close from all the places: giant's causeway, the dark edges, Dunluce castle, Carrick o rede... A place o back!

  • It was lovely, great stay close to a lot of great activities. Kids loved the play area and looking for fairy’s in the fairy garden, the sofa bed was a little uncomfortable and if they could supply a mattress topper for it I think it would have made a massive difference but overall it was wonderful and we will be back! The WiFi was great and the tv was fab to I can’t wait until next year so we can go again

  • This was one of the best Airbnb experiences so far! The house was sparkling clean, super comfortable and the location was great. Everything in it was brand new. Good base for the north coast if you don’t mind a little drive. So peaceful! Hot tub and bbq area look great too but we didn’t get to use this time! Have told all are friends and family already! Hope to be back again soon :)

  • Country Estate Elegance We arrived late, after traveling most of the day from the Galway area. The directions were spot on, and the large yellow house number made our last turn into the property easy to find. This was our fifth, of six Airbnb properties we had booked around the entire Isle to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. Each was unique and enjoyable, but this was by far an oasis of both comfort and elegance! The unit was spacious, sparkling clean, and luxuriously appointed!! My husband stretches each morning and travels with his mat. He was looking forward to using Orla’s beautiful yoga studio, and made use of it each morning. As he walked the country lane back to the studio he was accompanied by the family’s fit, and friendly Irish Setters! Orla provided her class schedule for him prior to our visit. Our whirlwind of sight-seeing did not allow the opportunity to participate in her yoga/fitness classes! We met Orla and her family the first morning, and they answered any questions we had about the area, made recommendations for restaurants, and provided a clothes horse for drying our clothes. Inside, the unit was just as it was pictured in the Airbnb description. You can tell the owners take pride in what they offer. It is reflected in their attention to detail and creativity. The most awesome surprise was the rest of the grounds! The studio walk was down a delightful, magical, lane! Along the way is an amazing treehouse, a fairy hide-a-way, and additional Faery lodging. Well-maintained, rolling pastures surround the property. Spring farm life, and wild flowers were abundant! With the other on-site lodging, we could imagine a small family reunion with everyone close-by! We did not have enough time to take advantage of an evening back at the fire pit. Garvagh is approximately twenty to thirty minutes from the main Antrim Coast sights. The roads to all are well-marked, and easy to drive. Orla and her husband are excellent hosts, we feel blessed to have discovered this beautiful property, and would not hesitate to stay in the future!! Danny & Mary Lou-E. Greenwich, NJ-May 18-21, 2019

  • We were welcomed to our car parking spot by Marti and Gerry, the Red setters, a lovely way to start our break! The apartment is absolutely 5 star, spacious, spotless and the amenities such as washing machine, coffee machine and other little extras really made a difference. Had the pleasure of meeting Orla one morning, and should you need anything she is only round the corner at the house or returns messages very promptly. The whole site, with the fairy glen pods and the mini forest, yoga studio, bikes to use, and hot tub area and stream is an absolute pleasure to wander through, and we loved being accompanied by the dogs as we did so. Families with smaller children will love the play areas and tree house. You are half hour (ish) from the causeway coast, 55 mins to Belfast, with plenty of places to get shopping and eat within 5 to 20 mins drive from the apartment, depending on what you want. We are already looking for a window to return as we didn’t fit in everything to see in Belfast and at the Coast. Definitely recommended. Thanks again , Sandra, Dave and Tom.

  • Perfect Place for travelling with Children. Place is secure with great house in tree, mini fairy trial... The Flat is cosy and very clear!

  • We stayed (2 adults 5 young kids) at the flat next to the tree house. We loved everything: the indoor and the outdoor. The flat is modern and clean with all amenities u can need to cook family meals and clean, the grounds are amazing for kids to roam around: the tree house is down the flat, and further next to the log cabin there is another playground, bikes to use and darts and target to practice. My little ones kept chasing the dogs. Great location less than 30min from the causeway coast. Sad to leave this gorgeous house and region, would happily come back !

  • My family was in town for The Open and this was a great find. Such a great space to return to and we were able to relax when we got back with so much space.

    Amelia2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Orla's place. It worked out perfectly for getting to the Open Championship and having a day-trip to Belfast and was a great place to return to at the end of long (and sometimes damp) days watching golf at its best. Highly recommended.

    Lonnie2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and spacious apartment! Would highly recommend as a base for exploring the Giant's Causeway and other sights in the area. We loved the huge kitchen and living room and the bedroom was also quite comfortable with lots of storage. The tree house and play area would be fun for kids.

    Amy And Mathieu2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was perfect for our 1-week stay. It had everything we needed for a family of 5, and it was easy driving distance to Belfast and the Giant’s Causeway. We’ve stayed in loads of Airbnbs over the past couple of years (full time travellers) and this rates as one of the best we’ve stayed in. Thanks Orla!

"The Ruby" was the house I grew up in and had many happy memories, it is located in Northern Ireland in a small village called Garvagh near to some of Northern Irelands greatest tourist attractions. My husband and I gave The Ruby a revamp but still keeping it's traditional beauty and old worldly features from the original enamel metal bath to the old Hunter range where the kettle sat boiling.
The house has 3 bedrooms which can sleep up to 6 guests aswell as 2 baby /toddlers. Travel cots and baby bouncer is provided as is all bed linen and towels. A bathroom with toilet, bath and shower. There is a kitchen with a gas cooker, oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Crockery and cutlery are provided as is a light continental breakfast consisting of tea, coffee, milk, bread, croissants, eggs, cereals, fruit juice, fruit cheese etc and is included in the price. There are two reception rooms, one with an electric fire, lounge seating and TV. The other has a small TV, seating, a dining table and 6 chairs plus a high chair. There is a enclosed backyard for the safety of motorcycles or bicycles, a picnic table and bbq.
House is located in Northern Ireland, in a small friendly village called Garvagh. We are within easy driving distance of Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Causeway Coast, Glens of Antrim, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, the Slemish Mountains, the famous Dark Hedges and The Giants Causeway, one of the locations for HBO's Game of Thrones. Portrush famous for Barry's Amusements and also Portstewart both have great beaches and plenty of activities for both old and young and it's only a 20 minute drive away. Also the village has plenty of activities. Garvagh forest great for walkers and a new bike track for bikers and our famous tomb/ Pyramid in the centre of the forest a picnic area to relax and enjoy. The local Garvagh museum is situated in the centre of the village and well worth a visit. The Wild Geese skydiving is less than a five minute drive and the Jim Watt's sports centre is a two minute drive or a 10minute walk, tennis courts 5min walk away and the Agivey River for a spot of fishing. Also the supermarkets, pubs and takeaways are on your doorstep.
  • If you need a place in a pinch Janice’s place would be a great choice

  • We had a fabulous overnight stay in ‘The Ruby’ and we will definitely be back to stay for longer soon. Location is perfect for commuting to anywhere in the north coast. We went sightseeing to the Giants Causeway, checked in and settled for dinner and then nipped up to Portrush and Barry’s amusements with the kids later that night, perfect location to allow this. We had our two girls, at 7 & 8 yr old the lovely touches left throughout the Ruby for them was just brilliant! Soft drinks left in the fridge, ice-creams in the freezer, games, jigsaws & books and the excitement level increased when the dolls house was discovered while exploring 😁 Very spacious house and it has everything you would need to stay for a week! We can’t wait to come back 😁

    Jennifer2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Its an amazing place for stay if you have plan to visit Giants Causeway, is really close (just 30 min drive). Also que house was very clean and the house are really amazing people. When we arrive they give us a lot of food in the freezer. I really recommend this place

  • We had a warm welcome from Janice and her husband. The house was cute, and very clean and we have found everything we needed. The place is quiet. We recommend !

    Valérie2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived in Garvagh after a very enjoyable, but ultimately very wet day at the Open Championship to a warm welcome from Janice and Andy. The location was perfect - right in the middle of the village so it is the shortest of walks to a shop and The Vines restaurant. The house was well stocked with food for breakfast the next morning and crucially had loads of hot water to help get us warm and dry again. All in all, perfect for what we needed.

It matches a very stylish downstairs with a beautifully cosy upstairs and provided everything we might need for our stay Mary was a very helpful host, accommodating us at very late notice and still managing to prepare everything we would need for our stay plus a few extras that she kindly added. We would happily stay there again and are grateful to Mary for her hospitality and helpful local tips.

You will fall in love with Bovagh House, a Historic Georgian Manor House set in idyllic countryside surrounded by fields, acres of woodland and a well stocked fishing river. The House is in close proximity to National Trust tourist attractions (e.g Giants Causeway), Bushmills Distillery and world class golfing resort, Royal Portrush Golf Club. Bovagh House is ideal for small groups of friends or families for gatherings, celebrations or a relaxing retreat in the countryside or a gourmet holiday!
Bovagh House was on the Buildings at Risk Register of Northern Ireland. We bought the house in 2010 and embarked on a full restoration and conservation program. Whilst we cannot offer a luxury stay, you will have a unique place for your exclusive use that is seeped in golfing, naval and architectural history. By renting the House, you too will help contribute to its restoration and the preservation of a piece of the built heritage in Northern Ireland. We are excited to also have teamed up with an accomplished private chef who can, subject to availability, be booked to provide you with a gourmet holiday experience! Inquiries strictly subject to availability.
Bovagh House is on a farm. Therefore there may be tractors and animals out in the fields depending on the time of year. The fields are fenced. The farm has 20 acres of woodland. You can enjoy beautiful riverside walks that go round the perimeter of the entire estate. The house has fishing rights for one rod. We have a 9-foot fly rod for any guests who wish to fish, and we can get some flies – there are some that are best suited to our river. The main fish are salmon and trout. The salmon tend to run up river later in late August and September. (Search for Agivey Anglers Association on line and you’ll find lots more information. It has a map of the river and pools.) The house is a short distance from several beaches including Mussenden Temple, Magilligan Beach, Portstewart Strand, Castlerock, White Rocks etc. Inside the house has high ceilings. There are four large reception rooms, including a drawing room, dining room, sitting room, games room and breakfast room.
  • the house is undergoing renovation so some things are not completed but the kitchen and dining and reception rooms and bedrooms were very spacious warm and cosy and the firelplaces worked beautifully. rohan assisted with anything we needed immediately

    Donna2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I enjoyed our stay at Bovagh House. The house had room to spare, even with 9 adults and 2 kids. It's a beautiful home and is still cosy, even with all the space. We particularly enjoyed the wood burner and open fire. The location is peaceful, it felt like there was no one for miles around but don't worry, you're not far from major towns. We'd gladly stay again in the future.

    Aaron2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house was even better than we imagined. We used the house for a place for our family to stay for our elopement on the north coast. The dining room, kitchen, and bedrooms are perfect for wedding preparations! Every couple was able to have their own bathroom which was an added surprise.

  • Wonderful and relaxing stay in a beautiful house and we will definitely be returning. Rohan and Joan were great hosts and very helpful about tips for the local area.

    Tracey2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous and grand but homely and welcoming too. Joan and Rohan had ensured that everything was prepared beautifully for us, lots of thoughtful touches everywhere. It's a house to completely lose yourself in with stacks of interesting books in every room, fast wifi and table tennis (very well used by us) and a large sociable kitchen, but also a fantastic location to get out and explore the coast or Belfast city. We loved it and thoroughly recommend!

Spacious 4 bedroom self catering accommodation. Ideal for families and large groups. It is set in its own grounds making it secluded and in its own heavenly surroundings. The house is well designed creating space and with the good use of the windows, the light encounters an ambiance of calm. All bedrooms are spacious creating your own paradise. It is furnished exquisitely with a quirky twist. All appliances in the house are available for your use.
The house is set down a lane away from any traffic. There is a wood for you to bimble around leading to the river Bann which flows at the bottom of our field. The field is divided by some estate railings and gates are there for your access to the field and wood. Please ensure gates are closed behind you to keep the sheep in the field. Along side the field is our wood which is great to stroll through down to the river.
Our house is close to the town of Kilrea, around 4 miles then on the other side Ballymoney is 5 miles. The coast and the famous Giants Causeway are around 13 to 15 miles away.
  • You have to stay here. One of the coolest and nicest decorated homes I've ever been in. The music room, the Giraffe bathroom, Frank's Skeleton Bar beside the Garage. The Gramaphones, the wonderfully comfy bed, the surroundings, the views. I will be going back very soon.

    Eoin2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This house is a total gem. We felt like celebrities staying there. A lot of thought has gone into developing and decorating the house. The amenities are 2nd to none. It’s a big house yet very cosy and welcoming. It’s in a great location for visiting the Causeway Coast, Dark Hedges and the Giants Causeway. We found people were extremely friendly and we were lucky with the weather. I can’t recommend this house enough and I would love to return. Thank you Jayne for an unforgettable holiday.

My place is a new house 30min drive from the North Coast, Giants causeway, carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, The Dark hedges & Ballintoy harbour(Game of Thrones). Ideal for couples and solo travellers due to the location&outdoors space. It is self catering accomodation with small kitchen and private shower room both separate from the main house. Kettle/toaster/fridge/ counter top oven and 2 ring hob available for cooking.
The accommodation is a self catering room separate from the main house, as the double bedroom, shower room and small kitchen area are locked off from the main house.
My house is in a very quiet area in the country side. The nearest shop is approx 2 miles.
  • Clean, comfortable spacious accommodation in large modern house with own entrance. Great value for two. Beautiful friendly dog to greet you home every evening.

  • Seamus was a great host. He showed us around the flat and was always available to answer any questions we might have. There’s also a lock box for check in/out if he’s not there. He also has a beautiful and friendly dog who we fell in love with! My friend and I were here for 3 nights while we did daily trips around the north coast. It’s in the middle of the country, so you’ll definitely need a car but it’s in a great place for places from castle rock all the way over to Glenariff forest and Carrick-A-Rede bridge. The flat itself was very nice, exactly as the pictures show. It was very clean & well-presented. He went out of his way to add extra touches which we didn’t even know that we needed! Such as: disposable slippers, shower gel, drying rack, detergent, shampoo, new toothbrushes, coffee/tea, fresh butter & milk. He provided lots of extra towels, the bed was very comfy and the flat was very quiet. All in all, 10/10, and we will definitely be staying here again when we next visit. Thank you for the lovely stay Seamus!! :)

    Ashley2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very tasteful and well thought out accommodation in the quiet countryside above Garvagh. Great central location for discovering the Northern Irish coast and countryside. Seamus, the host, has thought of everything you need and is always contactable if needed. Parking is onsite and The Vines restaurant in Garvagh is also highly recommended. Our first time using an Airbnb and it’s exceeded our expectations. Thoroughly recommended.

    Simon2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I enjoyed an excellent week here. We had lots of space and everything was clean and modern. If we needed anything, Seamus would respond almost instantly with what we needed. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.

    Philip2018-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is very beautiful place to stay, in the middle of fields, very calm and peaceful with cows and horses grazing closeby. The car is a necessity but thats taken for granted, I think, when you want to travel around. Very close to many Game of Thrones filming locations, around 30-40 mins drive from the coast and other natural beauties. The accommodation was really beautifully furnished, we were very satisfied and it made us feel relaxed after everyday's driving and trips. We definitely recommend this as a place to stay!

    Petr2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The location is very good to visit much of Northern Ireland. The neighborhood is very quiet, so you can rest well. The house is very beautiful and modern and important to value, after years booking by RBB; comfortable bed, clean sheets and towels, clean, warm and cozy housing, shower with pressure and hot water, quiet area to sleep. In addition to this the host is very friendly and is aware of if you need anything. It has been all great. We are happy Recommended 200% !!

    Lola2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time staying at Seamus' home. It was beautifully presented and very clean. There is everything you may need for a wonderful visit to Northern Ireland. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful - we slept like rocks! Bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom shower was terrific. We were very sad to go and would definitely stay again! Highly recommended.

  • Seamus was the perfect host: caring, polite, kind and helpful. He makes you feel like home. The accommodation was clean, cosy, very private and modern. Kitchen had all amenities one should require for a stay. The house is in a very quiet lane and very close to Garvagh high street ( about 3minutes driving ) and Garvagh is very close to all the beautiful scenery Northern Ireland has to offer, like the the Causeway Coast. (amazing!). I had a perfect stay at Seamus's place; it could not have been better. I recommend it to anyone. Thank you Seamus for a lovely stay :)

A wonderful log burning stove creates a feeling of warmth and relaxation, with your own patio/bbq area and private orchard and garden space.
The local village of Garvagh is part of a rural farming community, with newsagents, convenience supermarkets, a garage and take away restaurants. With Portrush and Portstewart just 18 miles away and the main shopping town of Coleraine just 12 miles away it is easy to find your way with very little traffic and good access roads.

Aghadowey is rural but nowhere is too far away. The Brown Trout inn is close by - less than 1 mile away. It has a bar, restaurant and golf facilities...thoroughly recommended for its delicious food.
  • Great location off the beaten track, but convenient to a lot of places, especially the Giants Causeway. Rural and welcoming. The host, Rozzy, is delightful!

  • ..an old English mansion. there are details that with a little imagination you can find in a novel of English literature. The room is clean with a large private bathroom and an interior space like a closet. Warm welcome, specific advice and kindness of the guest.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Rozzy‘s. There was a great atmosphere of hospitality and we really felt at home. Rozzy welcomed us with some tea, really took time to give us helpful advices to our trip and showed us everything on several maps. She was always happy to chat with us and also told us about Northern Ireland‘s history and politics. In this way we felt like we got a little insight into this country which you usually don‘t get as a tourist. Breakfast also was very good with loads of cereal and self made bread and jam. Thanks a lot, Rozzy.

  • A warm welcome! The fireplace was lit. We got some Tea and had a nice little chat with the hostess. The farm has a lot of character to it.

  • A friend and I stayed at Rozzy for one night during our car trip through Ireland, accommodation recommended for those of us who decide to visit Ireland in this way and prefer accommodation outside of too many tourist places but still close to the main places of interest. Rozzy turned out to be a perfect hostess, she advised us and made us feel at home. A perfect stay from every point of view

  • Rozzy was amazing! Not just her beautiful house but especially her hearty personality made our stay perfect. She gave us some great advice on what to see and great chats over a cup of tea at the kitchen table.

Situated in the beautiful magical setting of the Glenullin hills just outside Garvagh we are offering a new level in Glamping and a world away from everyday hustle and bustle. Cosy cabins with kingsize bed and 2 x single beds, kitchenette which includes fridge, microwave/oven, kettle & toaster, tea/coffee/sugar.
Cabins are private with a little fairy forest situated behind the cabins and over the stream. In the middle of the fairy forest is a yoga studio with classes Monday - Thursday. We also have an outside seated area with fire pit and area for barbequing
Tranquil setting with mostly just the birds and cows during summer to listen too. Oh and the rain... it is Ireland after all. Choose to chill out in the cabin but there is so much to do and see while in NI... here a few key places to visit Garvagh forest Giants causeway Bush mills distillery Causeway coastal route Portstewart Seamus Heaney homeplace Belfast titanic Game of Thrones filming locations Derry city Dunluce castle Fun Activities: Outdoor water park - The Crannagh Coleraine Wild Geese Skydive Longline Surf School Benone Beach Go Pro Kartracing in Kilrea Portstewart Golf Club Temple Springs Fishing The Jet Centre Coamusleraine - Bowling, cinema, softplay area
  • Orla was a godsend! We were due to camp for the weekend however due to the horrendous rain and wind we were unable to pitch a tent which left our family stranded! At no notice Orla was able to provide us with accommodation. The accommodation was immaculate! We were pleasantly surprised and the pictures do not do it justice! The place was very clean and homely. It was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be visiting again!

  • Fantastic time with the family at Fairy Glen. The cabin was fantastic. Nice comfortable beds. Spotless room and bathroom. Kids loved the play area and treehouse. Two very friendly dogs running about. Will defiantly be back.

  • We will be back, lovely break away

  • Quiet space plenty of roaming space for the kids and to top it off a hot tub x

  • We had a fantastic stay at the fairy glen with our four year old and 3 month old daughters. The cabin was spotless and far more spacious than we expected. We loved being able to put the girls down, set up the monitor and sit on the decking area with the little fire to unwind at the end of the day. We even managed to get across to the hot tub (which was within the monitors range) to relax which was great. The BBQ area and children’s play area also came in really handy and helped make our stay special.

  • A lovely quiet retreat from the world, it was my second visit and once again met all expectations.

  • This place is even nicer in person, the photo's don't do justice to these cosy cabins. They are spotlessly clean and a very powerful shower! The lights in the trees at night is a really lovely touch. You are very secluded in nature here, very relaxing
