Escape to the country at Stoneledge Farm, a restored organic farm on Lake Champlain. The separate unit features an open-plan layout living area, exposed architectural wood beams, pops of color, chic furnishings and decor, and lake views.
We welcome our guests with hotel quality towels, bed linens and bathroom toiletries. The kitchen is stocked with fresh eggs from our chickens, local milk and VT Coffee!
The property is located in the country, home to dirt roads, lush fields, and beautiful views, but is conveniently located just 15-20 minutes from several quaint small towns.
  • I care here with my fiancée and almost 2 year old lab and we felt like we were in paradise. Everything couldn’t have been more perfect. From a super easy check in process, all the amenities and comforts you need to feel at home, tons and tons of amazing suggestions of things to do, this was just one of the best stays we’ve had. Mika, her family, and housekeeper Sara went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The fresh eggs are amazing! We took the recommendation to hike Mt Philo and couldn’t agree more. The best part of the trip was just staying in the property and spending time outside with our pup and all the sheep, gots, llamas and chickens. A perfect place to come with your dog for sure. All in all, we are definitely coming back if this place is available again. 10/10!

  • Gorgeous property! The cabin has beautiful views of the woods/Camel’s Hump/lake. Thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable bed. We visited with an infant and a dog and had enough space for a large dog crate and a pack & play. The bathroom door in the bedroom doesn’t close - it wasn’t a big deal to us but it might be to other guests. We also couldn’t figure out how to close the door between the master bedroom & the living room. Kitchen is well stocked - there’s only 1 burner (hot plate). Plenty of plates/cutlery/cooking tools. Toaster & oven available. The cabin was very warm throughout our stay. Mika provided a lot of wonderful local suggestions of things to do and she was available via text throughout our stay (she responded very quickly). The cabin is close to the main house - consider this if you want complete privacy. Approximately 30 min from Burlington. I strongly recommend this stay if you’re looking for a modern farmhouse feel near Lake Champlain!

  • Mika (+ Animal Friends), Thank you so much for sharing your slice of paradise with us. We adored every detail, and the thoughtful gestures of great hospitality around the property and cottage were flawless- you're a true hostess. Kept your animal family well loved and fed- even enjoyed some farm chores when straw bales was delivered, walked with the sheep out to pasture in the snow and gathered eggs. Already missing the beautiful winter sunsets - but looking forward to our return, hopefully in the summertime. Thank you for allowing us to get some rest in this truly peaceful place! 'til soon, Katie & Meg

  • Mika's farm is a wonderful place to stay. Gorgeous scenery and the guest cottage is lovely. It is very clean and you have everything you need. We will definitely be going back.

  • Mika's place was wonderful! Mika herself was very personable. We enjoyed that it's on a farm and that she encouraged us to interact with the animals, which our 1 year old loved. Also loved that we were allowed to bring our 1 year old as he was not allowed in some of our other inquiries. Location is great for guests looking to be off the beaten path but still close enough ( by car) to a town to gather necessities. Beautiful lake within walking distance. Cottage looked exactly as pictured with many games and a selection of classic novels to keep anyone busy. There is a thermostat in almost all rooms! Big plus! You also get fresh organic eggs from her farm with your stay. The bed was super comfortable. Personal amenities, shampoo etc are all plant based! Kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities you need to prepare a meal, pots, pans, knives, microwave, toasted oven, fridge, you name it. There are even a few food items included. TV has lots of channels. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for, would definitely go back!

  • My wife and I had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful Vermont farmhouse. Even on a frigid weekend the place felt warm and like home after a busy day. Mika was always responsive and very thoughtful with the decorations and little touches such as fresh eggs and chocolate. We will definitely be back to see how different the farm looks in the summer! Absolutely recommend a stay at this unique homestead.

    Tyler2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My time at Stone Ledge was a dream. I could not have asked for more. Mika was available whenever I had questions, forthcoming before I arrived about getting in touch to make sure I had what I needed to get there, get settled, etc, and overall very kind and conscientious about making my stay comfortable and fun! I felt like it was my own place, but at the same time definitely an escape into nature. It was the perfect mix of remote and close to great food, drink, and culture if I wanted it. The guesthouse provided a cozy space to hibernate during a beautiful winter storm that came while I was there as well as a setting for the ideal bucolic writing retreat (I'm a writer). Spotless, warm, and stylish, I was in love for the whole week! I can't wait to return to experience Mika's farm and her sweet animals in warmer weather. Thank you Mika!!

This Lake Champlain Cottage is perfect for families or couples looking for some time away...play in the lake, go fishing, enjoy the foliage...perfect country roads for biking, hiking. The deck is amazing and sits right over our sandy beach. A real family 'camp' where play is paramount and everyone can enjoy the access to the outdoors.
This comfortable rustic space is made to be lived in. It is a seasonal cottage that is open from May to October along with the rest of the Long Point community. These are real summer cottages, not year round homes. It is a place where our kids PLAY and we are happy to share it when we are not using it. While we rent it, it is first and foremost our family cottage. It is a place to enjoy the lake and everything that makes Vermont magical. It is ideal for families with school age kids, teens and young adults (not as ideal for very small kids as we are beyond that stage). While it is a pristine location, right on the lake with a gorgeous deck, we believe that the cottage is meant to be lived in. It is clean, super comfortable and crazy fun, but it is a cottage (or camp as we call it in Vermont!) it is not a resort. We love the guests that are excited to take advantage of the fun. I have set it up so that you can sleep lots of people, cook inside and out and enjoy everything that is great about being on the lake with a fire pit, dock and hammocks. Happy to have you come up for cottage fun!
Long Point is a true New England Lake community. We have a tennis court, play ground and endless paths to explore. The lake is the heart of our neighborhood, but you will feel like you have gone back in time to the charm of mid century Vermont. True vacation!
  • This is a great lakeside location and Julianna is very helpful and quick to communicate. Beautiful deck to hang out in and nice beach.

    Linda2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Julianna makes herself very available for any questions you may have. We loved the location of the cottage! It's a very quaint and very peaceful setting right on the lake. Beautiful views all day long and at night a sky filled with stars! It's a short drive to Burlington (25-30 mins)...and it's a beautiful drive so you don't mind the time at all! Everything we needed and very comfortable beds, including a king! (which was a nice surprise, unless I missed that detail in the listing). Thank you for the flowers Julianna! A beautiful touch when first walking in.

    Carole2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Not only was Julianna’s place amazing, but her willingness to go out of her way to make our experience even better stood out the most. I highly recommend!

    Ben2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Just as described. A beautiful location.

    Matt2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Julianna’s place was beautiful and perfectly cozy for an early fall weekend. Julianna was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay and the view from the house is stunning. I would highly recommend this place!

    Krista2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing view off the deck! Spectacular. Very quiet setting off the beaten path yet close to route 7 and Vergennes and other towns. We did not have fabulous weather when we were there so did not get to use any of the water craft - but would look forward to doing that the next time.

    Katrina2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend getaway to this cottage. The views of the lake from the deck were wonderful. Julianna was accommodating of a late check-in request for us, which was very appreciated. If you're looking for a nice and cozy lakeside cottage, you'll enjoy this place.

  • If you are looking for an original Vermont family lake camp that is completely "kid friendly", this is for you. This is not a cute little painted cottage with matching wicker furniture. It is a well used family camp and it is affordably priced for that reason. Located back from roads, children can ride the bikes around the area (there are bikes), and parents who want to relax on the large new deck over the beach can easily watch the children playing. There is a firepit area for lazy nights before bed. The bathroom is newly renovated and it has a great shower. Three bedroom, two on one end, one on the other. One has two full sized beds, one has a full sized bed and two twin, and a smaller one facing the lake has a futon and a floor mattress, so there is a lot of sleeping space! I shared this camp for the weekend with three other women, and we used that last room as a sunrise-watching coffee and breakfast spot to wake up and hang out before drifting out onto the deck. Because it is an older camp and has been well loved and used , it has its quirks, but if an issue arises, Juliana is 10 minutes away and immediately available and accommodating. I felt she was most concerned that we enjoyed our stay, and wanted to do whatever she could to make that happen. All in all, I was very happy with our stay and would go back again!

Located right in downtown Vergennes, this home of a local kilnforming glass artist houses her collection of artwork--her own, work of friends and favorite artists, and also her own glass studio. It is steps away from fantastic local eateries, a brew pub and cidery, the beauty and power of the Otter Creek River and Falls, the Vergennes Opera House. Middlebury is a 20 minute drive, Burlington, 40. Straight shots on Route 7. About the same on beautiful back roads. NO cleaning fee.
Although this is Vermont's littlest city, it welcomes like a country village.

  • We have been traveling to Vermont for many years, and stayed in some kick-ass places and we can now add Devin & Jeremy's to the list. Top notch all the way, perfect size for the wife & I and two college-age kids. Kitchen is thoughtfully equipped, everything was right where it should be. Clean as a whistle, simple interior decor (adds to the relaxation factor big time), five-star mattresses and the nicest dang Airbnb hosts we've had in a very long time. ... Location is far enough away from town (a welcome change for us) but you're in d.t. Vergennes within ten minutes. Button Bay state park is a nice stroll down the road and it's perfect for those Lake Champlain sunsets. We'll be baaaaack for sure.

  • Very super super clean. Confortable amazing beds!!!! And the emplacement is Nice. They are Nice hosts!!! Thank you Again!

    Sara2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Devin and Jeremy's in-law suite. It was super clean and comfortable and unbelievably quiet. We knew we would get in late, so Devin gave us some good suggestions for local eats in Vergennes -- we ordered pizza from Hired Hand Brewery, and it was quite good. We had to leave early in the AM, so we didn't get a chance to meet our hosts in person, but everything was exactly as described. It was a perfect place to stay for a first-time visit to Vermont!

    Peter2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best Airbnb experiences we have had- and we have had a lot!

    Amanda2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic couple of nights in Vergenne and absolutely loved staying here. The space is even better than the pictures and the location is sunning! Bedrooms were beautifully styled and sparkling clean. We had the pleasure of meeting Devin and Jeremy and they couldn't have been nicer. Thank you so much!

My place is close to the little city of Vergennes, Basin Harbor, Lake Champlain. You’ll love the location for opportunities to kayak, fish, ride a bike, golf, and go to a museum. The space is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). This is a rural setting, a farm style home, on a river, in the midst of a wildlife management area, surrounded by conserved land and farming operations. Entomophobes be aware I do not use pesticides but do have good screens!
We are located directly on Otter Creek 1.5 miles from Lake Champlain adjacent to the Lower Otter Creek Wildlife Management Area. The finished apartment above our garage has been recently renovated. Garage exterior improvements are in process. There is a parking spot for guests and private entry.
Our neighborhood has nearby homes, a farmstand, other dogs and cats, and our chickens reside in the yard facing your entrance to the apartment. This is truly a rural setting and wild animals such as opossums, raccoons, skunks, and foxes are often spotted. Flying and crawling insects are part of the balance of country life. Annoying as they may be, we do not use pesticides/insecticides.

  • I was in charge of all aspects of this weekend getaway and when we drove up to our home for the weekend my other half was beyond pleased! What a beautiful property with a wonderful little over the garage apartment just for us! Everything was super clean, decorated so cute, and it was just a joy to be there. Loved meeting our hosts on arrival and knowing they were just a text message away if we had any questions. We hope to go back next year for a repeat weekend!

    Julie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Hands-down the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. Their artistic attention to detail about the house and the property were outstanding. Add to that a picture perfect location and two incredibly nice hosts... It was a perfect vacation destination.

    Lia2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • So beautiful, so peaceful. A charming in-door space and a stunning outdoor area steps from Lake Champlain. Cheryl and Roy were very welcoming providing coffee, cream, and delicious chocolate!

    Kathleen2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Strongly recommend this charming apartment with idyllic location & setting. Sparkling clean! Cheryl & Roy are gracious hosts & make us feel very welcome!

    Thao2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cheryl and Roy’s place was absolutely stunning! The level of detail and love for their property is noticeable as soon as you pull down the driveway. We meet Cheryl upon our arrival, and she was friendly, professional and personable. While showing us around you could tell her and her husband built their dream home along Lake Champlain, and they truly enjoy sharing it with others. My only regret is not booking the whole week, and we cannot wait to return in the future!

    Patrick2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed in this lakeside apartment for three nights and it is much nicer than the pictures in the Air BnB listing can describe. Clean, well thought out, unique and fun decorations, immaculate property and super clean apartment. Location on Lake Champlain is beautiful for watching sunsets with on the lake and background mountain views. Cheryl and her husband Roy are also excellent hosts, easy to talk to and not intrusive in anyway. We chose this place because of all the other excellent reviews and the rental was still nicer than we expected.

    Kevin2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was even better than described. If you are looking for a lake side, relaxation spot for two, this place is definitely for you. The property around the lake is beautiful and serene, and we felt at home immediately in the apartment with all of the personal touches. We spent day trips in Burlington, Stowe, Vergennes, Shelburne, and Middlebury all within decent driving distances. We can’t say enough great things, we hope to be back again!

  • Bill’s place is perfect. It is open and full of light and the sound of the falls is a real treat. It is located in walking distance to a fun town and a quick drive to Middlebury is fun and classic Vermont. Nil is a great host who made our trip easier to do with his commutation.

    Jeff2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Just as pictured, with great “white noise” from the adjacent falls. A short walk to downtown and several good restaurants plus shopping. Centrally located between Burlington, Stowe, and Middlebury.

  • This is a special spot! The house is really unique and comfortable. Bill was a great host and left breakfast items for us which was so thoughtful. Highly recommend staying here!

  • This was the second time I stayed at Bill's place and I can't wait to stay there again next time we are in Vermont. The place is amazing and has everything you'd need. Vergennes is a beautiful town and it's a very easy drive up to Burlington. Will definitely be back.

  • Gorgeous, spacious, and comfortable home right in the middle of Vergennes, stunning views of Otter Creek and the Adirondacks beyond. Would definitely come back.

    Nicholas2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this house. We stayed for a family get together and it was a great location and a really fun and unique house. Would definitely recommend!

    Kimberly2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • On a scale of 1-10, Bill's home is easily a 20. Spacious, antique-filled, and charming, the place is gorgeous and comfortable. It's situated right above Otter Creek Falls, and offers fantastic views of the crashing waterfalls. There are lovely walks in the park along both sides of Otter Creek: one day we even saw otters! While the house is beautifully secluded, it's only a short walk into town: we began each day at great local cafes, and ended evenings with late suppers at local restaurants. (I highly recommend trying Black Sheep or Antidote for dinner.) Thank you, Bill! Amazing place!

    Lisa2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Bill is a super host. This is one of our favorite airbnb experiences ever. The industrial loft is spectacular and from the very beginning Bill went out of his way to make us feel at home. This was the perfect week long getaway that our little family needed to recharge and relax. We look forward to staying here again next year! Thank you, Bill!

Come, relax in our spacious Victorian Home and lush backyard located a short 2 minute walk to all restaurants, taverns, galleries and all that our vibrant town has to offer. We have free on site parking and no cleaning fee! Vergennes is situated in the heart of Lake Champlain Valley, just 10 minutes from Basin Harbor Country Club, 15 minutes from Middlebury, and 30 minutes from Burlington. If you would like a full country breakfast ($7.50 per person) ask the host One of 6 rooms available!
Enter our home and take in the foyer, large living room and dining room. All rooms are spacious with high ceilings, large windows, and original wood floors. "The Meadow Room" is ideal for a couple or one person. It faces our back yard and has a Queen sized bed and air conditioning. It has a 39" Roku TV that includes cable and free Netflix etc. The room shares the hallway bathroom which is located right next door.
We are located amongst other beautiful Historic homes ideally situated within a very short and easy walk to the town green. There you can explore the beautiful Bixby library, the Vergennes Opera House (where one of your hosts Bill is well known for his performances there), our excellent antique shops, our art galleries, jewelry shops, and , fine clothing and thrift stores. A further walk will bring you to Otter Creek where you can view the power and beauty of the waterfall that was responsible for the industrial growth in this area in the late 1800's. Once you have done your tour, grab a bite to eat or have a drink in one of our restaurants, all reknowned for their ambiance and stellar food. You may want to take and evening swim in our neighborhood pool or perhaps grab a concert on the Green before walking back to your "home away from home". Our home is a popular choice for bicyclists, who love to ride miles and miles on the Champlain bikeway. It is at our door steps. They will spend a few days, and pick different routes each day. After a day of exploring, we like to have lemon water and watermelon ready so they can come back and relax and enjoy the peaceful sunset view from our backyard. Also, depending on where they are coming from, they do not need to drive at all during their stay.
  • Highly recommend this place for your stay. The host was super nice and the place felt like home. Super clean and perfect for being close to town.

  • Staying at Meadow House with Bill and Sue was truly incredible. They are so genuine and kind and can give local tips. Vergennes is a quaint and cute town and is only a 30 minute drive to Burlington city center. They were very inviting, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and their backyard was such a peaceful place to unwind. I would 100% recommend this BnB for your stay if you don't mind a short drive to wherever you are visiting. We will stay here again!

  • Lovely inn right on the main drag in town. Great hosts with tips about things to do in town, great communication, and a charming house. Would definitely go back.

    Justin2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • My room was comfortable and quiet, looking out to the side yard. There was only one other room using the hall bath so it was always available. So easy to walk down Main Street for dinner and ice cream. In the evening met another guest and we sat talking in the welcoming living room.

    Judi2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Meadow room was beautiful, cozy and right around the corner from a shared bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfy. There is a common living room space with musical instruments and books galore. We were getting in a bit late so asked for local restaurant suggestions. Bill was great communicating as a whole and got right back to us with suggestions. Definitely take advantage of their breakfast! It’s delicious and you have a beautiful view of their back yard.

  • Beautiful place, ideally located in downtown Vergennes. Bill was a very kind host and was accomodative to our arrival time.

Welcome to our cozy country home. We are 5 miles from Vergennes, 13 miles from Middlebury College and 21 miles from Burlington. We are 30 miles from the Middlebury College Snow Bowl and Rikert Nordic Center as well as Sugarbush Resort. We have 2600 square feet of living space on 2 acres with a front porch, back deck and one-car attached garage. Our home is the perfect size for a family or group of friends with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, finished basement and open floor plan on the main floor.
Our home is defined as a condo however there are only two units. Most people would describe it as a duplex. The space is much larger that your typical condo. We have three floors including the basement. The top floor has 3 bedrooms and a full bath. The main floor is an open floor plan with the living room, dining room, kitchen, and sun room all together. There is also a brand new full bath on the main floor. The basement has a finished family room and a laundry room. We have a front porch and a back deck. Our home has a lovely lawn and beautiful flower beds. The main floor and upstairs have hard wood floors. The floors upstairs are brand new bamboo. We also just installed a new hot water tank and heater.
We are only 5 miles from the city of Vergennes, 13 miles from Middlebury College and 21 miles from the city of Burlington. We are located on a quiet country road with neighbors only on two sides. There is a large corn field across the street and the Otter Creek in the back. (We do not have access to the creek from our property. ) Staying here will give you the feeling of being in the country while at the same time being close to town. The town beach located on Lake Champlain is only 10 minutes down the road. The Vergennes' Boat Dock located on the Otter Creek is only 4 miles away. Boats do have access to this dock from Lake Champlain should you wish to dock your boat there. The roads around us are very popular with bicyclists as they are relatively flat and have some wonderful scenery. The City of Vergennes has lots of terrific restaurants and a lovely Main Street with great stores. There is a town green and, in the summer, there is often live music available. We have a quaint town library and a restored opera house with regularly scheduled performances. There are many hiking trails in close proximity to our home including Mt Philo and Snake Mountain. Both offer stunning views of Addison County and Lake Champlain.
  • I and my friends stayed here over the weekend, Great house! Host provides quick response and helpful tips for going around!

  • Melissa's place was great! Fully stocked with kitchen gear, good ideas for local events and places, very cool, cozy and inviting: plenty of room for a large group with a downstairs "game room" if needed.

    Rob2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa’s place was the perfect location for our stay in Vermont. It was plenty big enough for our family to spread out. We really appreciated the coffee setup and my husband was so happy to see a few VT local beers in the fridge!

Completed in 2013, the Guesthouse perfectly complements the 1871 Victorian home to which it is attached. Located on Main Street in historic Vergennes, Vermont, our home is one of several fine examples of the architecture of the 19th Century that grace our City. Our thriving downtown is a short walk away, boasting exceptional dining and shopping opportunities. Vergennes is a short 20-minute drive away from Middlebury College, and 45 minutes from Burlington.
We have a computer with wi-fi access for your use during your stay, and you'll find the kitchen ready for you to whip up a meal. Remember, we're close by and happy to provide you with anything you might need to make your stay more comfortable. The Guesthouse was constructed above a garage, and can only be accessed by stairs. Likewise, the two bedrooms, each with queen size bed, are located on the second floor of the structure.
We are a short walk from shopping and dining in beautiful downtown Vergennes. There’s so much to do here in the Little City! Check this out: https://youtu.be/FEzQkTCiwng
  • Super well-appointed accommodations. Everything was clean, clean, clean! The guesthouse was decorated to a very high standard with art work galore. Very unique appointments including sliding “barn” doors for the rooms/closets. I would offer that the guesthouse is probably best for a couple or a set of close friends. We don’t have young children, but this might not be the perfect spot for them. Clearly a lot of effort has been put into the design of this space. 2Brs upstairs with a large bed in each (queen?). Bathroom is clean & contemporary. Kitchen had everything we needed.....and Jeff supplied the coffee as well! Great place to relax and unwind. Very quiet too. Some great food in short walking distance as well. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area. > 5 stars

We are within walking distance of town, where you can explore the beautiful Bixby library or the newly renovated Vergennes Opera House, or highly successful new bakery, The Laundry. While you are in town you can browse in the antique shops or grab a bite to eat in the many restaurants Vergennes has to offer. A further walk will bring you to Otter Creek where you can view the power and beauty of the waterfall that was responsible for the industrial growth in this area in the late 1800's. And, of course, biking the Champlain bikeway is at our door steps. • This was our second stay with Bill. His place is well-run, perfectly situated for our needs and reasonable in cost! We slept great - there was a white noise machine in the room but everything was very quiet anyway. Thank you!

This private apartment is located on the second floor of our home, which we call the "1795 House". The first part of the house was built that year, and the brick addition was added in 1812. Thanks to the home's previous owners, there is a spacious elevator that will take you from the garage to your apartment. It includes two bedrooms, a bathroom, a well-appointed kitchenette and sitting room. There is plenty of space in the garage for bikes or other items you might want to store.
The apartment is centrally air conditioned in the summer and every room has a separate thermostat to keep you warm and cozy in the winter. Enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine at our lovely private backyard table or by our fire pit, both of which you are welcome to use.
The 1795 House is the most iconic home in the City of Vergennes and is perfectly located right on the Village Green in town. The Main Street stores and restaurants are just one or two blocks away. The Vergennes Opera House, right around the corner, offers great shows and events. You can enjoy band concerts and the Farmers Market on the Green during the summer, and Basin Harbor Club and Lake Champlain are a few short miles away. There are beautiful roads ideal for biking, and number hiking trails just a few minutes drive from town.
  • I would highly recommend Beverly’s apartment. It was lovely and had so many personal touches. The apartment is within walking distance to multiple restaurants and has a private entrance. Beverly and her husband were there to greet us when we arrived and are very friendly. I would definitely stay again!

  • Beautiful location (old brick-faced house in the heart of downtown), comfortable and attractive accommodations, friendly hosts... What more can you ask for?

    Joseph2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Vergennes. Vergennes is beautiful little town with a lot of charms. At Beverlly’s, the beds were super comfortable and the apartement is really charming. It got everything we need ! Beverlly and Biello are very generous and we felt welcome right away. I highly recommand the place for your next trip to Vermont. We will certainly come back next summer ! One of the best Airbnb experience we had. :)

    Sylvie-Anne2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beverly and Ed were extremely warm and welcoming. The space was clean and stylishly decorated in bright, fresh colors. The bathroom and kitchenette were private and easy to use and the elevator was, although slightly quirky, easy to learn and made quick work of bringing things up and down. I didn’t need to use the stairs once. I made note of severe allergies upon arrival and Beverly called a local restaurant to see if they accommodate. She and Ed went above and beyond what I needed and I am truly grateful I was able to meet them and stay in their historic and very lovely home. I’m coming back and I’m bringing my family next time.

The sky dome floods the yurt with natural light. Bird songs drift in through the screened windows. Wooded trails outside your door. Close to town yet private. Fire pit for sitting out under the stars. double sized bed in loft with memory foam topper makes it very comfy. This is a rustic yet elegant stay. Cooled by fans and heated by wood pellet stove. It is not a good fit for very young children due to the stairs, hot wood stove and rough lumber flooring.
Songbird Sangha is a unique place which has been thoughtfully placed amongst the trees. It's unique design gives you a spaceous and airy feel of being outdoors. The sounds of the birds , peepers and owl's, drift in through the screens. Moonlight streams in through the dome or you can look at the stars while laying in bed. It is heavenly for lover's of the outdoors.
We cannot see other houses from our property. It is quiet, has lovely views and privacy. The village has a book store, several bakery's, art gallery, jewelry store, brewery/bistro, pizza, concerts on the green, farmer's market, hiking and more.
  • The place is incredibly beautiful, very clean, and has everything you need. And Ellen is a wonderful host!

  • Great stay in this fabulous yurt! Super cozy and clean.

    Annie2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This yurt is the coolest place I ever stayed. It is gorgeous and has everything you need. It has a full amazing kitchen that is better than most apartments have! The sky roof is the best part. Great romantic getaway.

    Zoë2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was amazing and just what we had been looking for to get away! It was well stocked and we loved all the little touches. While we were there we enjoyed a thunderstorm from under the dome and it was awesome! Stay here, you won’t regret it!

    Jennifer2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely everything about our stay at Ellen and Jay’s yurt was wonderful. We were expecting it to be cute and fun but it far exceeded all our expectations. It’s incredibly comfortable and cosy, charming and romantic. We had our coffee outside on sunny mornings and enjoyed the warmth of the stove and sound of the rain on the yurt on the couple of rainy evenings we had while enjoying home cooked dinners. Have I mentioned falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the birds, the horses, the views, the peace? This is a truly magical place.

    Geraldine2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen and Jay were perfect hosts and their yurt provided a comfortable and cozy space for our stay. We would not hesitate to return. Lovely private setting.

    Lester2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely peaceful no fuss place to stay. The bed was comfortable and downstairs was perfect, there is no microwave so bring food that you can only cook on the stove or toaster oven. Alexa was a good addition to the yurt. We loved having a fire in the fire pit at night then moved into the yurt at night then enjoyed the pellet stove.

    Joanna2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in the yurt was so serene. What a great space Ellen has created, with all the amenities needed to be cozy and comfortable! The animals were a sweet bonus. Ellen and Jay are great people. We would love to return and spend more time checking out Ellen's suggestions. We got some great food at Snaps in Bristol and also stopped at the local market to get ingredients to cook dinner in the yurt too. (Be patient using the pellet stove, it takes a few minutes to get ignited.)

My husband and I were exploring the Burlington and Stowe areas and found this spot to be a convenient location to stay. The town that it is located in was very quaint and we enjoyed touring this area as well. This was an exceptional value and we would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area again.

  • We loved our stay at Vick's Picks! My kids and I stayed here one night as a hub / transition point, in-between skiing at Killington and Sugarbush (about 90 minutes from Killington and 55 minutes from Sugarbush. It's a very comfortable studio/ loft space with great features and amenities. The place is situated in a beautiful area. We especially loved our morning drive from Ferrisburgh to Warren VT - and I had the opportunity to enjoy one of the local breweries nearby, which was excellent. Betsy and Andrew were very accommodating hosts, and my children loved playing with Daisy - the friendly dog who lives with them. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Halfway between Middlebury and Burlington, close to Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains, our home provides easy access to the charming towns of Vergennes and Bristol, and to the recreational paradise that is Vermont! We are delighted to meet guests from throughout the world or around the corner. All are welcome!
The apartment is accessed through our home and is fully private once within. Guests arrive by our main entry and then climb two flights of stairs into the apartment. It is a perfect place for families, with inviting spaces for adults and children. There are games, books, a secret window and a hidden passage. We provide fluffy down comforters and pillows, soft warm towels. Overall, the apartment is cozy, inviting and fresh. The furnishings are eclectic - from Bill's grandparents' 1950's wicker porch chair, to comfy Ikea Poang chairs to beautiful handmade bed and side tables, crafted by Bill from Vermont maple, some with "tap" holes still showing in the wood (Vermont fact: it takes about 40 gallons of maple sap to produce a gallon of maple syrup, or about 10 trees. Each mature tree will have about 4 "taps" placed, and each of those will yield about 1 gallon of sap.) In winter, cozy up on a stormy day, or head three miles up the road to toboggan down Mount Philo State Park. Outstanding nordic and alpine ski areas are within 45 minutes, and on a snowy winter day, you can snowshoe right outside the back door. In the warmer months, find great hiking in any direction. Swim, boat and play at gorgeous Kingsland Bay State Park, less than 15 minutes away. Or play soccer in the back yard! We have a coop full of chickens who lay beautiful multi-colored eggs when they’re not being lazy! We welcome you to enjoy their creamy-yoked eggs, or, when available, produce from our garden.
Vermont was once largely farmed for sheep, and our home, built before the civil war, is an old farmhouse that was once surrounded with many out-buildings and barns. A handful of the early farmhouses still stand nearby and the area remains a farming community. You'll see dairy cattle on nearby farms, and you may even see Ollie the camel who lives down the road! As rural land slowly gives way to modern building, our neighborhood largely retains its rural character. Our road is paved, and though cars sometimes drive more quickly than we would like, it is still lovely to walk along the road. A large horse farm is less than a mile away, and beautiful views stretch to the west and the Adirondack mountains from various vantage points along our road.
  • Lovely house and setting. Thoughtful and aesthetic touches, fresh cookies and coffee and homemade granola! Restful, calm setting with furnishings that made us feel at home. Large comfortable rooms, good beds, wonderful views. Great kitchen and work space. We’ll be back!

  • Sheila’s place is beautifully decorated and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed to cook meals. The beds are comfortable and it provided the privacy we needed for our stay with our two adult children. Just lovely in all aspects. Sheila and Bill are terrific hosts

  • Gorgeous location, warm welcome, thoughtful touches. My 9 year old granddaughter and I enjoyed the views, the trampoline, meeting the chickens and chocolate lab Russell, and being the guests of such friendly hosts. The apartment is comfortable and equipped with homey touches. It is quiet and beautifully designed. A wonderful experience.

    Katharine2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely home, with a beautiful open clean space, wonderful amenities, and friendly hosts. We had the best time and loved the dog Russel. We would 100% come back again for a fall weekend with the girls!

  • This is a beautiful Victorian home in a lovely quiet county setting with spectacular views of the mountains. The hospitality we experienced was heartfelt. My sister and I and my Scottie dog were welcomed with open arms by the whole family. The space is open and clean and tastefully decorated. There are many thoughtful touches including delicious homemade granola and fresh eggs from their chickens. Our stay couldn’t have been more pleasant. Can’t wait to return!

    Sue Ellen2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house and neighborhood, topped off by two amazing hosts! Very accommodating, with a quiet and private upstairs apartment. Should be noted that the second bedroom shares the area with the kitchen, and the common area that includes the pull out couch, but that wasn’t a problem. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Daniel2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Sheila & Bill were very gracious and accommodating hosts and their place was perfect for a two-couple stay. A beautifully renovated home with lots of space and all the comforts of home.

  • Bob was a great host and the house/room was very pleasant. He was super friendly and had great suggestions for local restaurants. This was a great place to stay to ski sugarbush for the weekend—the drive to the mountain is windy and hilly, but very beautiful, so as long as winter weather isn’t too extreme it’s fine.

  • My apprehensions about staying in a room within a home were immediately allayed as Bob and Phoebe greeted me warmly, explained the particulars of the house, and then left me to the privacy of my own room with a private bath. As the only occupant of the entire upstairs I had complete privacy, and didn't hear a peep throughout the house. I highly recommend Bob and Phoebe's place and will definitely stay there again!

  • Very lovely place in a convenient location- walking distance to the airport! The stairs leading to the room are a bit steep, not really suited for big luggage. Except for towels, it has pretty much everything one could need. Highly recommended!!

  • We were happy to find a great location at a great price. Everything was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The coffee, we don't know what it was, was fabulous. Jackie provided us with coffee, water, linens, toiletries, and clean, warm bedding. We would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the Burlington area.

    Alexander2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable and convenient location. Jackie's communication was excellent. Really appreciate that the price was the price -- not a lot of expensive extra costs that too many other folks add on. Great value!

Private guest bedroom with queen bed. Great for couples, solo adventurers or business travelers. 20-25 min drive from downtown Burlington + BTV airport. Our home is located in a quiet family-oriented development on the bus-line; walking distance to local restaurants, shops and attractions. We have (3) guest bedrooms which can can accommodate up to 5 guests. Please inquire re: avails & pricing.
We host all 3 of our upstairs bedrooms (typically just 2 in the winter months due to limited parking) with one shared guest bathroom. The kitchen is shared by all. We have our own private living space and bathroom in the finished basement where we live with our 4 friendly pups! Help yourself to space in the fridge as well as complimentary tea and coffee. I'm sorry, but we do not offer the use of laundry facilities. Our home is located in a safe neighborhood next to the LaPlatte Nature Trails and walking distance to several local attractions. We are an active couple who both work full-time. We are always on the go and tend to be fairly hands off, but please don't mistake this as unwelcoming. I'm usually available by text and there's a list in your room of our favorite things to do around town! All essentials are provided to include; extra blankets/pillows, towels, face cloths, bathrobes, shampoo/conditioner, body/face wash, lotion, hand soap, ear plugs, Advil, etc. I do my best to keep everything very clean and organized. While our dogs are well-behaved, they DO bark and/or whine on occasion. They are all friendly and you are welcome to say hello; they will likely compete for your affection however dogs are not allowed in the guest rooms for those who are more sensitive to pet hair and dander. We have a fenced-in yard where they like to run around, but please remember to close the gate when coming and going so they do not escape!
Safe and quiet neighborhood located right next to the LaPlatte Nature Trails and walking distance to several local attractions.
  • Tamara's place was very well equipped and very clean! This is a must stay place for anyone visiting the area.

    Derek2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying here! Tamara leaves bath robes in the bedroom which is a nice touch when you share a bathroom. Her dogs are amazing! I loved getting to pet them when i arrived, and overall really appreciated her sharing her home with me. I was able to use her kitchen and sit at her kitchen table while i drank coffee in the morning. It takes a very generous person to share their home with strangers like that. Everything was very clean(bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, living room) no dog hair anywhere but on me after i petted them. :) (just in case someone is worried about that).

  • Tamara was an amazing host with a very comfy and charming place! She is a real pro and pulls out all the stops for her guests. I made a same-day reservation just to stay the night, and she was able to accommodate us on short notice and provided a great stay for us. In less than half a day’s notice, they prepared a perfectly clean room with sheets, towels, robes, toiletries, ear plugs, and Advil ready for us. Hosts were also very welcoming upon our arrival. Overall this was the perfect place for our quick stay.

Our cozy, private, rustic mountain yurt is a 30’ foot space located in an upper field tucked into a wooded hillside. Views facing east are great for watching the sunrise and a kitchen and outhouse mean you’ve got everything you need to get out of town for a few days.* The location provides a serene, intimate getaway for couples, artists or anyone looking for a bit of mindful downtime and introspection. The yurt is insulated and can be heated by a wood stove. * Solar shower available upon request
Surrounding fields are available for tent camping should you want to host a larger event and use the yurt for its kitchen and gathering space (the furniture can be removed). The yurt and its verdant surroundings are great for day-long wellness retreats, sound baths, yoga workshops, art classes and more. A recently renovated barn is also available to rent for events, and package deals with the yurt, catering and/or floral services are available. A fully equipped, indoor kitchen is located just a few feet outside the yurt. A drop-toilet outhouse is also nearby. Farm tours, floral workshops and personalized catered meals by Blossom Kitchen and Catering, the on-site vegetarian kitchen, are available upon request for delivery to the yurt with at least two days’ notice. The yurt has a queen-sized bed, dresser, two night tables, and two couches and the kitchen has a breakfast table with four chairs. Linens included.
This is a perfect relaxation spot for bikers and hikers - just beyond the yurt you can enjoy, or even help to improve, newly constructed mountain biking trails Addison County Bike Club’s members have been working on. Rivers and lakes with swimming holes are an easy drive away, as is the charming mountain village of Bristol, with a fully stocked supermarket, two breweries, restaurants of all price ranges, shops and more. Our farmstand is across the street and will be fully stocked in the spring and summer with local food producers' products.
  • Really lovely space and great hospitality, definitely recommend the yurt and the farm as a whole.

  • Coziest, cutest, most homey yurt! My boyfriend and I stayed the night while it was -10°. Perfect distance from Mad River Glen. We stayed warm as long as the stove fire didn’t go out. We opted for dinner and breakfast to be brought to the yurt and it was delicious! We will certainly be back again.

  • We had a great time! Everything was perfect. The check in was easy. The suite was well decorated and very clean. We did not want to leave. The whole trip I kept thinking about how much better this is than a hotel.

  • We found every thing pristine ,when we opened the door we said wow! It lives up to its name ,as Cozy Hollow. Kesta and Mark are truly Super host!

    Samuel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Kesta’s place was phenomenal!!! Cute space perfect for mine and my fiancé’s anniversary getaway! Everything was spotless and perfect no complaints at all and definitely will be coming back!

    Alyssa2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Kesta are incredible hosts! Definitely would recommend to anyone to book your stay at Cozy Hollow! They have everything that you can possibly think of and more! The hot tub was the cherry on top to an incredible Valentines Day weekend.

    Gare2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Kesta’s place is such a beautiful spot. They are perfectly centralized to so many great locations in Vermont, and they are only about 20-30 minutes from all of them. They went above and beyond making sure to clear the snow when we came. They are extremely friendly and thoughtful. You won’t regret staying here.

    Regan2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Kesta’s place was perfect! Really cozy and exactly as listed. They were very responsive and gave us lots of good tips for experiencing the area. Would definitely recommend.

    Lane2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Kesta’s place was lovely. The space was better than described/pictured - it’s obvious a lot of time, care, and creativity went into making the suite what it is today. We appreciated all of the little touches - from the artwork to the popcorn maker, French press, and bottled of water waiting for us when we got in. All of their instructions were super clear, and the notes around the suite were helpful as well. Mark and Kesta provided a bunch of great recommendations for our trip (snowshoeing at Sleepy Hollow, breakfast at Parkside, etc). And to top it all off, the hot tub was AMAZING (especially after a long cold day outside). Mark and Kesta were extremely accommodating and responsive. They made us feel very welcome and our only regret was not booking a longer stay! We’ve already recommended this space to a bunch of our friends, and we will be back in the spring once the weather is a bit warmer!

Welcome to The Barn at Grousewood. During these unique times, we are happy to provide an escape to the woods to relax or work in isolation and to decompress. We are following the CDC cleaning guidelines to ensure the safest environment we can for our guests. Located 35 minutes from Burlington, 30 minutes from Middlebury. We have great hiking trails for exploring the woods full of wildlife. Enjoy a fire outside or read and relax in front of the hearth. A private and peaceful retreat.
We have a kitchenette if you want to cook. Looking for things to do? We are proud to boast that Vermont has the most breweries per capita and is home to one of the largest cideries in the US, Woodchuck Cider located in Middlebury. We also have some great local distilleries and even a few vineyards that remain open in the winter for tastings. If skiing or riding is in your plans, we are anywhere from a 40 to 75 minute drive from such great places as SugarBush, Bolton Valley, Mad River, Stowe, Killington, Pico or the Middlebury College Snowbowl. Visit Bristol, Middlebury or Vergennes for unique Vermont gifts and local art. The barn is a perfect get away. Come and enjoy all that quiet country living in Vermont has to offer.
We live on a dirt road. If you are visiting us in the winter, it would be important for you to have an all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle, or good snow tires to get up our driveway.
  • Kris and Brian's barn is peaceful, comfortable and thoroughly relaxing.

  • If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, Grousewood barn is the place to go! We returned for a second stay and brought along our dog! They had a special little doggie bag waiting for her with some treats and a ball! It was a sweet welcome gesture. Kris and Brian’s place is perfect for a cozy trip to unwind and is close to some breweries and delicious restaurants! We enjoyed a day of snowshoeing on their property trails along with their super friendly dog, Murphy! We’ll be returning again and look forward it!

  • A perfect little couples getaway! Neat, clean and cozy with funky New England decor. If you're looking for a little taste of VT, you'll find it here. We only wish we could have taken advantage of the outdoor fire pit and Adirondack chairs, but.... we were there in February for Valentine's Day. It was 8 degrees F below zero that night. The Barn is across the driveway from the house, but all windows face away from the house so you do have privacy, and the windows have nice shades. Never met our hosts. They respected out privacy. We did meet Murphy the next morning, and he was very friendly and well behaved. Word of of warning if you visit in winter: the gas fireplace heats the main space well, but the floor remains cold and the bathroom a bit chilly even with the door left open. So bring your woolly socks and slippers, and let your partner warm the toilet seat for you! ;) Again, it was 8 below that night. Hope you enjoy the place

  • We had the BEST stay at Kris and Brian's place. It was the perfect escape from the busy city. We loved exploring their beautiful property and playing with their dog, Murphy. We also appreciated all the cozy decor and thoughtful touches around the barn. We cannot wait to plan our next trip here.

    Heather2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kris and Brian’s place is nothing short of amazing! Each detail is heartwarming and it can’t be any cozier than it is. We loved hanging out with Murphy and hiking around the property! The fireplace keeps you warm and the comfortable bed has everything you need. We would definitely return.

Come stay in our eclectic, art filled home. We live on Long Point which is a peninsula that extends into beautiful Lake Champlain, the unofficial great lake. There is acess to every kind of summer fun including swimming, boating, hiking and biking. For rainy days we have board games and wifi. We are located a half hour drive from the city of Burlington VT which is famous for its walking streets and music scene. We look forward to meeting you!
The library is a room that embodies the colonial elegance of a bygone era. Its booklined walls will tempt you to pick up a classic and spend a hot day longing in our hammock while its authentic globe and antique desk will inspire you to write a novel of your own.
We live in a safe neighborhood that is primarily vacation homes. It has dirt roads on which children ride bikes all day and night. On most nights the smell of barbecue swifts through the air. We have a community beach and playground for your convenience.

Charming in town house with small fenced in yard perfect for Fido! Far enough off Main St. to miss the traffic but close enough to walk to all downtown Vergennes has to offer including but not limited to restaurants, shops and art galleries.
House is well behaved dog friendly and both bedrooms and bathroom are located on the first floor.
Vergennes has a population of 2600 and offers a National Register of Historic Sites revitalized, walkable downtown with eateries and shops, an Opera House and the Bixby Memorial Free Library, the most beautiful library in the state. The area offers a rich history of both the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812 and the Civil War. Farm to table eating is a must with local farms, markets and restaurants. Sixteen beweries, wineries and cideries are located within one hour.
  • We had a very nice stay in Vergennes

    Johanna2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Eliza's place couldn't be more convenient to Main St. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook, too!

    Molly2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Eliza's home in Vergennes had everything we could have wanted. All the amenities, quiet, comfortable sleeping in a great neghborhood walkable to everything. Would highly recommend!

    Lena2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We just got back from an incredibly relaxing stay at Eliza'a place! The location was perfect - right in town in Vergennes so everything was within walking distance. Perfect for walking to dinner at Bar Antidote (which we have loved for years and recently learned that Eliza' also owns!), Shacksbury Cider, or the several other restaurants, cafes, and shops in town. It is also an easy drive heading west to Lake Champlain or heading east for hiking trails. The house was exactly as advertised and check in was a breeze. One of our favorite features was the fenced in back yard, which was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. We hope to come again!

    Andrea2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous house and location- Eliza is super responsive! Highly recommended!

    George2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Eliza’s place is so adorable! It’s also only two blocks from downtown Vergennes, so you can walk to all the shops, etc. We had a great time there- highly recommend.

    Amy2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say enough good things about Eliza’s place - from the location to the comfortable “at home” feeling - my expectations were far exceeded. Extremely dog friendly and everyone we encountered walking around the area were so kind and welcoming. It was so very hard to leave. Thanks again, Eliza!

Come and stay at our farm for a friendly, fun stay. If you love animals and want an interactive stay, this is the place for you!
Although it feels like the middle of nowhere, our house is actually very centrally located! We are 15 minutes from downtown Burlington, 20 minutes from Bolton Valley ski area, 45 minutes from either Sugarbush Resort or Stowe Mountain Resort. We also have many varied Nordic trails all within a couple of miles from our house. In summer, we are less than a mile from the Winooski River, and a short drive to some beautiful swimming holes. We also have some of the best mountain biking literally right in our back yard! We are a short drive or a long hike to the Long Trail and also to Vermont’s best rock climbs. Lake Champlain is only about a 20 minute drive as well.
The town of Richmond is down the road one way, and Williston is down the road the other way. Both towns offer good restaurants, cafes and shopping, and there is a movie theatre in Williston.
  • We stayed for a couple of nights and found the location perfect if you wish to explore both Burlington and Stowe/Waterbury. We spent almost half the day trekking around on the amazing property and enjoyed the breakfast very much. Hope to be back soon!

  • Jill’s place was the perfect stop on our way to Montreal. We wanted to get the views of Vermont in a short amount of time and this place was stunning. A beautiful snow covered farm with awesome dogs and sheep and a comfortable bed as well. Breakfast was amazing and it was so nice to meet the other people staying with Jill and everything was really just perfect for our short stay. Jills husband also suggested a stop at Cheese Traders down the road and it was such a cool store. Thank you Jill for making our first trip to Vermont so memorable!

    Heather2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay. Felt like country home. Dinner was great.

  • Jill's place is perfect to rest and relax! She's located right off the highway and just a quick drive from Burlington. The room was very spacious, clean and her family was so sweet and accomodating. We only stayed one night over on our way to Montreal and now we regret not having stayed a few more days!

    Sophia2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and David were amazing hosts. David had amazing recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to eat at. Most of the spots we hit were his recommendations, actually. Jill, David, thank you for a great stay.

  • Jill and David are incredible hosts! We immediately felt like family in their home. The farm is charming and the room is comfortable and cozy. David is an excellent cook—be sure to ask him to tell you a joke. They offered great local recommendations in Burlington. Their two dogs are cute and friendly. I highly recommend Jill and David’s AirBnB for a true Vermont stay.

This small cottage is nestled in a professionally landscaped garden 1.5 miles north of Bristol village. Cozy double bed, dresser, ceiling fan with vaulted ceiling make it a sweet destination. Very private outdoor shower with hot/cold water, outdoor sink, and a flushable toilet within a separate "outhouse".
The cottage does not have heat which makes this a seasonal rental only. In cool weather, an electric space heater works great. The double sized bed makes this a cozy fit for two.
Bristol is a charming village nestled on the western side of the Green Mountains and surrounded by farmland. Hiking trails start from the village or are within a short drive. On hot summer days, check out Bartlett Falls and other swimming holes in the New Haven River. There are miles of cycling on paved or dirt roads in any direction. The famous App Gap or Lincoln Gap challenges start/end here. 20 minutes from Middlebury College; 30 minutes to Kingsland Bay State Park on Lake Champlain; 45 minutes to Burlington. There are plenty of restaurants, from gourmet to casual, serving locally sourced food and craft brews. Our downtown is one block long with an interesting mix of stores and friendly shopkeepers. Honey Lights, a charming beeswax candle shop, makes great gifts. Art on Main features local artists of all genres. Rocky Dale Gardens is a treasure. Music, farmer’s markets, food and brew tours and berry picking are just a few options for local summer experiences within Addison County.
  • Gorgeous little cottage. It was like a dream. My boyfriend and I stayed one night and hope to come back again next year for even longer. Very cozy with a nice little town center.

  • Amazing! Our stay at Marianne's was wonderful. The home was perfect for our weekend getaway. The outdoor shower was the best. Marianne provided excellent local tips and recommended a great hike as well. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!!

  • Amazing

    Kyle2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Much cozier than expected. The outside shower was perfect after a long day of hiking. The bed was so, so comfortable. Marianne was an absolute delight, and she had her kitty in her arms when she met us!! If you need a small, comfortable spot to rest your head, this is the place!

    Gigi2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Marianne’s place is such a perfect, sweet, amazing little gem, nestled in the gorgeous hills of Vermont. Absolutely fell in love with the outdoor shower (in October!) which affords plenty of privacy and hot water. Temperatures were dipping into the low 40’s at night and we were plenty warm with the cabin’s little heater and blankets. Marianne is kind, helpful and allows her guests the space to relax and unwind. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and nearby downtown Bristol is all that you could wish for in rural VT with a grocery store, cafes, restaurants and shops with local crafts. You’re gonna love it so much!

    Theresa2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint little cabin in the woods! Definitely a fun experience

    Liz2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The location was lovely, the grounds well maintained. The cabin is very clean and the outdoor facilities private. The patio perfect for wine, cheese and a fresh salad from the local pizzeria in Bristol.

    Laura2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is absolutely adorable- the perfect weekend getaway for someone who’s looking to have a rustic experience! We loved the outdoor shower and the decor, as well as the amazing coffee that Marianne provided! Overall, I highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely consider coming back in the future!

This 200-year-old farmhouse is in in the middle of a country village, close to hiking trails, ski areas, and boating. You will wake up to the sound of birds and the brook that runs next to the house. We are midway between Burlington and Middlebury, which offer many attractions of their own such as music and cultural events, shopping, and great restaurants. Your host is on site to make sure that you are comfortable and have everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable stay.
We will serve the finest Vermont coffee in the morning. You may bring your own groceries and have full access to the kitchen.
We are close to Mad River and Sugarbush ski resorts. Mad River is only 15 beautiful miles away and our prices are a lot lower than the ski resorts for an overnight stay. Within an easy drive you’ll find great dining, outdoor activities, and stunning drives. Mount Philo, an easy hike that ends in a sweeping view of the Champlain Valley is only 15 minutes away., as is the ferry to New York and the Adirondacks. Church Street and the waterfront in Burlington, with its farm to table restaurants and great shopping, is 30 minutes away. We are a rural state, but there is plenty to do. However, should you need peace and quiet, you can have that too.
  • Pat is a great host in a lovely house! I highly recommend

    Danielle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Pat is extremely hospitable and thoughtful. Her home is lovely, and we enjoyed our stay here in every way. We hope to stay again if we are ever back in the area.

    Shane & Margaret2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of my best stays yet! Pat is the kindest host in the world and we had an amazing cozy weekend away in her gorgeous home.

    Olivia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re reading this, book Pat’s place now, she is absolutely wonderful. She pays great attention to detail and is so thoughtful. Hands down the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. The mattress was high quality, she has the most comfortable bathrobes, and each morning she had the table set with English muffins, jams, fruit, and a pot of fresh coffee brewed. My fiancé and I will definitely be back!

    Jennifer2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Pat was absolutely lovely! She was very responsive and helpful, was very attentive to our allergy needs, left a handwritten note with our breakfast in the morning to greet us, and couldn’t be more grateful for her generosity in inviting us into her home. Our overall experience seemed to me exactly the kind that Airbnb was started for!

    Taro2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully house and super lovely host. You cannot dream a better place to discover Vermont, Pat is super attentive to all you can need to make your trip as sweet as possible. Access, communications and comfort were at the top. We definitely come back for summer hikes.

    Jens2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Pat has such a lovely house. It is warm, clean, and spacious. The neighborhood is quiet. Pat is a wonderful host. She made me feel I was right at home! Best of all, I got great sleep for two nights there after the whole days of skiing and woke up to the best Vermont coffee for breakfast!

    Chi2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Pat's place is beautiful beyond what the photos capture and it is very cozy to boot. I was there in the blustery cold and snow with some of the lowest temps and I was so snug and happy in the room. Pat laid out a breakfast of coffee with cream and sugar, English muffins, and fruit each morning, which was such a treat. She has thought through the experience very carefully and included all kinds of little details and items that make the stay extra comfortable and easy. With her friendliness and the beautiful surrounding area, it is hard not to want to extend the stay and maybe even move to VT. There are grocery stores and dining about 15 mins away in either direction and so much nature to enjoy. The bathroom is shared with Pat and you do have to walk by her bedroom to get to the bathroom, so if you like extreme privacy or enjoy being loud and carefree in the mornings and evenings, this may not be the best match for you. It is also helpful to keep in mind that Pat has a number of specific house rules and explains them very clearly at the beginning of your stay, so you will know the expectation and will need to follow them carefully. It is a great value and a gorgeous place to stay!
