This is a lovely cosy studio room, in our large garden. Guests have their own private entrance. The Garden Room is beautifully furnished with an extremely comfortable king sized bed. There is plenty of heating for the winter months. The kitchen area has a fridge, microwave, single induction plate, toaster and kettle. You also have your own shower room. There is a heated towel rail in the shower room and a thermostatic heater in the main room. **Special Offers - January to early April** - Book two or more nights from Sunday to Thursday for just £50 per night (minimum two nights).
The Garden Room is set in lovely countryside but within easy reach of a multitude of attractions. Your morning call will be bird song! Two minutes walk down the lane will take you to Camerton woods, which in May is full of bluebells and wild garlic. Webbs Cottage is set in the hamlet of New Buildings (it was new in the mid 1800s) and consists of a cluster of stone built ex-miners cottages. It is tucked away in a valley but just a short walk from the busy village of Peasedown St John, which has shops, pubs and a post office and frequent bus services to Bath. Theatres, restaurants and bars are available in Bath (6 miles:10 km) and Bristol (14 miles) if you feel like trying the night life but the Garden Room is situated in a quiet country location.
  • Well thought out accomodation in a beautiful setting. Accurate and up to date communication received from the hosts. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting Bath.

  • Great stay in the garden room. Everything was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Tony and Jane provided some breakfast items too which was very thoughtful. The garden is beautiful and in a very peaceful area.

  • Lovely place and located a short drive from Bath. Easy to find and you won’t be disappointed. Would definitely recommend.

  • Really nice, clean and quiet tiny house close to Bath. The Garden Room has everything that is necessary including a really nice and beautiful kitchen. It was very clean and Tony and Jane were really helpful and answered to question within minutes. Thank you for the weekend, we would come back in case we are in Bath again.

  • Fantastic stay! Lots of extra touches to make the stay special and a great location.

    Charlotte2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely spot. It feels secluded and yet an easy walk into the village with various places to eat and shop. The room was lovely and a perfect size for two! It was lovely and warm despite the storm outside. There is a perfectly sized little kitchen with microwave, fridge and hot plate. We would highly recommend!

    Sarah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Room, it was perfect for our needs and had everything we needed. Everything was nice and clean, in good condition and well maintained and the special little touches and extras were much appreciated, especially the welcome pack which included milk, bread, ceraals, and even a little pot of ground coffee! The WIFI worked well too! The Garden Room is in a great location and made travelling into Bath very easy. We took the bus in everyday, which meant we could have a few drinks and not worry about driving, the buses are pretty frequent (four an hour) and it only cost us £7 each for a return ticket each day. Which isn't much more than the park and ride and much less hassle, you still have to drive! There are also a couple of small supermarkets and some take-away places in Peasedown St John, so you can always pick up any provisions you need without travelling too far if yiou fancy a lazy day. Tony and Jane made us very welcome when we arrived and their communication before and during our stay was good, quick responses, polite and very helpful. We'd definitely recommend the Garden Room to others. John and Jan

This private bedroom is one of 3 guest rooms within an indoor courtyard (atrium), all set in a self built Eco house, surrounded by woods, scrap, art and artists, workshops, walks, etc...if you are in need of creative inspiration or encouragement , or you just want a quiet couple of nights in the country.. That's us!! 10 miles from Bath and Bristol. Close to Glastonbury, Wells, Stonehenge.
What makes it unique ? Well, what doesn't!! First of all I would suggest reading some of our reviews. We are very proud to have over 600 reviews across our 3 listings, and you won’t find many that are unhappy :-). There are probably not many places like this (in England at least)... It's more like a West Coast USA house as seen in Lloyd Khans amazing books (look him up). This is our own self-built eco house set in 5 or 6 acres of its own land. The house itself is in a private area, but within the grounds of the property there are many other spaces including a therapy suite ( you can book separately for massage, acupuncture, hypnotherapy etc) , workshops for metal and woodwork, recording and rehearsal studio, a part time vegan cafe, a huge and eclectic collection of obscure artefacts from aeroplanes to gypsy caravans, and anything in between!! It is also home to upwards of 20 other people who are engaged in work with circus/ festivals and events management. There is an early stage forest garden , solar hot water and electric and more being added daily. There is always something new at Rockaway! If you're looking for somewhere fastidiously neat and tidy or you're scared of spiders it's probably not for you , but if you like what you see, we'd love to have you here ....,( although of course we do our best to keep it neat and tidy, I am just trying to put off over- fussy guests :-) We like to think we understand the ethos of Airbnb and the desire to change the world for the better by encouraging conversation and the sharing of ideas. We have found the whole experience to be thoroughly rewarding and we hope you will too. Please note we have another (cheaper) room available in the house, with two single beds and a shared toilet, and also an apartment that can sleep 4 comfortably. We are able to accommodate extra people, so if you're traveling with kids or friends and think our listed rooms are too small to fit all of you, please enquire. Look forward to meeting you. Mark and Marta
The house is set in approx 6-7 acres of land part of which used to be a scrapyard and some of which we still run as such. There are woods and great walks very close by and good bus connections for Bristol, Bath, Wells and Glastonbury. We are about half a mile from the village of Temple Cloud in a secluded, redundant stone quarry. There are mature oak trees all around the house and the site. We still run a van dismantling business from the adjacent yard and help out from time to time with artistic projects involving scrap, including photography, film and video projects. If you're looking for inspiration or looking to meet people to help further your ideas and plans , we may be able to point you in the right direction or hook you up with the right people... I'm hoping that the B and B will just help to make further and far reaching connections and not just be a soulless interaction... Of course though we are just as happy for people to come and just chill. Tourist attractions in the area include: Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor, Roman Baths, Wells Cathedral, Wooky Hole Caves, Bristol city and all it's attractions from amazing graffiti art to Brunel's architectural achievements.
  • A friendly welcome and a comfortable stay at an eccentric and amazing venue.

    Susan2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Marta and Mark are the most amazing hosts! Their home, which we shared for two nights, is exceptionally beautiful. We enjoyed every second of our stay and we left already planning for our next visit. This place is one of kind!

  • Amazing stay!!!! What a gem. Can't wait to come back

    Laura2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • From the first moment we felt home in this house. Everything was clean and of good quality. Even in winter time we never felt cold in our two rooms. Kitchen well equipped and good beds to sleep. Thank you!

    Adrian2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Marta’s house is the most unique place i have ever seen. You could spend an entire day just inside her house, unfortunately we were there only for a day and couldn’t spend as much time as we would have liked to. She made us a delicious breakfast and even invited us to eat with her. I highly recommend her house for anyone who is visiting bath or Bristol. Her house is a 20 min drive to either places. Will definitely look forward to staying at her house whenever we visit Bath again.

    Tanush2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool and off beat vibe with plenty of nature close by. Relax and the the location worked perfectly for me to do day trips to Glastonbury, Bristol and Cheddar. It was a fun stay. I also enjoyed chatting with some of the other guests that were staying there. It had a nice community sorta vibe.

  • We have just got home after the most brilliant weekend at the Old Vicarage. There was plenty of room for 21 of us, and we loved the hot tub! Everything was exactly as advertised and more! We arranged a caterer to come and cook for us on the Saturday night, so we could make the most of the fabulous kitchen and dining table. Harriet was so helpful and gave loads of brilliant information about the local area etc. I’m already trying to think of an excuse to come back!

    Katie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Vicarage was the perfect location for our friend group to gather over New Years. The house is spacious- plenty of room for the 8 couples and two children on our mini-holiday to spread out during the day for work, naps, cooking, and privacy. In addition to being an amazing property, the surrounding village, local pub (The Oakhill Inn) and surrounding attractions were an unexpected value-add, making our trip that much more memorable. Harriet is an excellent host!

  • I cannot recommend the Manor or our hosts highly enough. The house is absolutely stunning - even bigger and grander than expected - the perfect setting for a rainy retreat to the country. Maryam and Emma both responded to all of my queries before and during the weekend with lightening speed and their recommendations were spot on. Can’t fault this place at all, an AirBnb gem - get booking!

    Elizabeth2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Just echoing other reviews - the place is absolutely stunning and pictures can't do it justice. I had my 30th birthday weekend here with 15 of my friends and it was wonderful. We also had a welcome bottle of prosecco and flowers waiting for us, which was a great touch. Maryam was very quick in replying and accommodating. Amazing place and location! Highly recommended!

    Oana2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing time at Maryam’s house; we were a family of 8 adults and 5 teenagers (and 2 dogs!) and had plenty of space for everyone to relax since they were coming from Brazil and Portugal. The house is even better then the photos and both Maryam and Emma were incredibly helpful and provided us with best local knowledge of places to go, restaurants and pubs. Thank you and we can’t wait to be back in the Summer!

    Andrea2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautiful. Both Emma and Maryam were so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed for the most special Christmas. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and we had so much space. The children had the most wonderful time and we brought our dog who also loved it. The hot tub was brilliant and the games room. We didn't leave the house at all there was no need. Plenty of showers and bathrooms it's really great for large groups. The hosts went above and beyond to make it so festive with two Christmas trees and lots of festive decorations. Everyone loved the house and would definitely recommend it.

    Annie2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful property! More than I expected, you could tell it was well looked after, very clean and had beautiful touches for Christmas. Also met with a big bottle of Prosecco which was nice. Would love to go back again in the summer time but definitely a great option to go for a nice weekend away with friends.

    Koyin2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing house that is even better than the photos, every room is impeccable

    Shona2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning home, with wonderful hosts. Couldn’t have asked for more. A privilege to stay.

    Blaine2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Unreal house, absolutely stunning! Everyone had an amazing time. Friendly local pubs, all facilities at the place were incredible and even if something went wrong, we got a replacement same day! Great service to match the amazing house - highly recommended

Treat yourselves to a relaxing stay in the beautiful Chew Valley. Set in peaceful, rural countryside yet within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and Wells, The Granary at Manor Farm is a beautiful old stone barn that has been converted to provide all the comforts you need for the perfect break. Bright and spacious with high ceilings, exposed beams, splashes of colour, contemporary furniture and access to an indoor pool and extensive gardens. ***Good Homes Magazine selected The Granary as one of their top ten 'Best UK Airbnbs with Stunning Interiors'.***
The Granary at Manor Farm is on the upper half of a traditional Somerset stone barn. The accommodation comprises a bright, spacious open plan living and kitchen area plus a bedroom and bathroom. All rooms enjoy high ceilings, original oak beams and lots of light from the south facing windows. We have designed it to be private, peaceful and to take full advantage of the views across the garden and lovely Somerset countryside beyond. The Granary benefits from underfloor heating throughout and a Morso wood burning stove, so plenty of comfort for those who enjoy a quiet night in. Where possible we have retained or recycled features from the Granary’s previous incarnations to achieve an appealing blend of the old and rustic with the new and comfortable. The furniture and fabrics are all new. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and large Liebherr fridge freezer. In the living area there's a TV, Freesat and blu-ray player. The bedroom is simply furnished with a kingsize divan bed and high quality 400tc cotton bedlinen. The bathroom has a free-standing bath with a separate, spacious dual-head rain shower and a double basin. Outside, we hope you will enjoy the extensive garden which we open one day each summer for the National Garden Scheme. There are lovely areas to sit and we can lend you a barbecue if you would like to enjoy some al fresco dining. Beyond the garden we have a couple of paddocks which are (usually) occupied by sheep, and the garden is surrounded by fields, so it is not over-looked. You will also have access to our indoor heated swimming pool and conservatory area in the lower half of the Granary building. Please let us know in advance when you would like to use the pool and we can make sure that you have exclusive access at the arranged time. We provide towels and bedlinen, soap and kitchen essentials. Our welcome basket includes milk, bread, tea, coffee and home made preserves. If the dates you are looking for aren't available don't forget we also have Manor Farm B&B listed on Airbnb. A huge, luxurious en-suite bedroom, delicious breakfast and the use of the swimming pool!
Stowey is in the heart of the Chew Valley on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chew Valley Lake offers first class opportunities for fishing, sailing and birdwatching. Rural walks and bike rides can be accessed from the door and we are right on the edge of the Mendips with further opportunities to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside. There are many great pubs & restaurants close by including the Michelin starred Pony & Trap. Bristol, Bath and Wells are all easily reached.

  • Immaculately clean, wonderfully peaceful and quiet, stylishly decorated, very warm (underfloor heating throughout), super comfortable beds and delicious homemade bread and jams. We stayed for our mini moon and enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave. Richard is lovely and very responsive. Absolutely book this place.

  • This place is wonderful, we were welcomed with freshly baked bread and homemade jams! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook ourselves dinner. The bed was super comfy and everything was very clean. the view from this place was beautiful, and when the sun sets its really something! A nice touch to this place was the underfloor heating throughout, and the log burner, we stayed in March so it was quite cold out, but the flat remained very cosy and we didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend Richards place, and would definitely come again.

    Abigail2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Fantastic facilities which were easy to use thanks to Richard’s detailed welcome book. Our favourite features being the pool and fire place. Home made bread and jams were a nice surprise. Great panoramic views of the local area. Richard was on hand to contact and quick to respond. Perfect location for visiting Cheddar Gorge, Bristol and Bath.

  • We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the coziness of Richard & family’s place during a rainy weekend. As other guests have commented, the welcome basket was a delicious touch and Richard made sure to be available to us whenever a question arose. Would recommend to anyone in need of a country retreat.

  • Thanks Bonnie, 5 stars for everything. We will come and stay again, Chris and Tiff

    Chris2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie's place was available at very short notice. Despite only staying for one night, I really enjoyed the space I had. The accommodation was very clean throughout and the bed very comfortable. There were a lot of local information provided, especially breakfast recommendations which (unfortunately) I didnt get to try out due to having to work the next morning. Communication from booking up until arriving was fantastic and Bonnie is a great host. I definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a short stay! Thank you for being an amazing host!

We are in the perfect location if you are looking for a semi-rural cottage within easy reach of Bristol, Bath, Wells, Glastonbury & Cheddar Gorge. Included in your stay: Cosy warm room; bright white linen & fresh towels; choice of pillows; hospitality tray with various teas, coffee, biscuits & bottled water; smart TV, Netflix; Fast 200mbps WiFi; a warm welcome; local knowledge; parking & great reviews! A paid minibar is also available with drinks & snacks.
Come and stay in our lovely cosy cottage in Somerset! You will be staying in a private room in part of what was the former farmhouse, surrounded by farmland owned by the Duchess of Cornwall. The cottage is stone-built, has lots of character, with part-exposed stone walls. In the lounge, you have a lovely log burner which is great on cold winter nights. The cottage is situated within an easy drive of some major tourist attractions including Bath, Bristol, Wells, Glastonbury, and Cheddar Gorge caves. Why pay over the odds for a hotel in Bath when you can come and enjoy the countryside at a fraction of the cost? The double room on offer is clean, light & airy and decorated to a good standard with carpeted floors and gas central heating during the winter months. The bed is comfortable, with a choice of pillows. Fresh towels are also provided. There is a laptop-friendly workspace (desk & chair) with USB charging points and superfast wi-fi. We also provide a complimentary hospitality tray in your room with various teas, coffee, bottled water & milk. In addition, there is a well-stocked minibar. There is also a smart TV in the bedroom, connected to the WiFi and guests are welcome to use our Netflix account to watch movies. A clean, shared bathroom is immediately next door to the room for your convenience with Cole & Lewis shampoo, conditioner & shower gel at your disposal. The outside space is amazing too! We have a large, well-established garden, great for entertaining, with a gas barbecue and outdoor seating area. The perfect place to relax on a summer evening, maybe with a glass of wine, whilst cooking up some sizzling local produce on the barbecue.
The cottage is fairly private and not overlooked by lots of other houses. We are surrounded by countryside and Farrington's Farm shop is just across the field - which is well worth a visit! If you are looking to cook up a breakfast storm in the kitchen, The Farmshop offers local produce; however if you’d prefer someone else to do the cooking, Farrington’s also have a cafe where you can sit back and relax and enjoy your breakfast without the hassle of cleaning up. The Golf Club also offer a cooked breakfast from 8am. We have a nearby Tesco where you can stock up on breakfast or dinner meals and just recently, we welcomed Wetherspoons to Midsomer Norton, 7 minutes from us. When thinking about dinner options, we have an excellent Indian restaurant at the end of the lane and the nearest pub is about a 10-12 minute walk into the village. There are several other places serving food within a mile of the cottage including a great Italian restaurant. The Pig near Bath is also very popular with our guests offering an excellent dining experience. A day pass is available for nearby Farrington Park Golf Club. Set in beautiful surroundings, it offers a gym, spa, golf course & clubhouse. Golf clubs are also available to hire. Farrington Park is also a popular wedding venue.
  • Fantastic hosts and very welcoming. Lovely little hideaway in the countryside. Thank you x

Please read our reviews :-) Too much to say !! A room with 2 single beds and a shared toilet/bathroom, one of 3 guest rooms in a self built Eco house, surrounded by woods, scrap, art and artists, inspiration, walks, etc. This is our home where we live with Boris the cat and lots of interesting things !! ... 10 miles from Bath and Bristol. 15 from Glastonbury, Wells, Stonehenge (45 miles).
What makes it unique ? Well, what doesn't!! First of all I would suggest reading some of our reviews. We are very proud to have over 800 reviews across our 3 listings, and you won’t find many that are unhappy :-). There are probably not many places like this (in England at least)... It's more like a West Coast USA house as seen in Lloyd Khans amazing books (look him up). This is our own self-built eco house set in 5 or 6 acres of its own land. The house itself is in a private area, but within the grounds of the property there are many other spaces including a therapy suite ( you can book separately for massage, acupuncture, hypnotherapy etc) , workshops for metal and woodwork, recording and rehearsal studio, a part time vegan cafe, a huge and eclectic collection of obscure artefacts from aeroplanes to gypsy caravans, and anything in between !! The room itself, although part of the main house, is a private and very relaxing place. The bathroom is less than 5 steps from you room. Feel free to mingle with ourselves and other guests in the rest of the house or enjoy a quiet and peaceful break on your own. We also have an apartment and a double room that are both available through Airbnb We very much look forward to meeting you and sharing our space.
Our hope is that the B and B will just help to make further and far reaching connections and not just be a soulless interaction... Of course though we are just as happy for people to come and just chill.
  • Great place very relaxing

Bring in the day amid wood surfaces and classic cabinetry in a bright kitchen as you cook a delectable breakfast to enjoy in the private garden. Sprawl out with a paperback on the sofa amid charming fixtures, nature-inspired decor, and wooden floors.
A 1 bedroom self contained bungalow in the grounds of our house, all newly refurbished with tasteful decor throughout. The bedroom has a double bed but we can also offer a sofa bed in the living room, additional single inflatable floor mattress & travel cot (if needed). We provide fresh bedding & towels and even though we don’t offer breakfast we also provide fresh bread, butter, milk and bottled water on arrival. We are dog friendly for which blankets, dog bowls, treats etc are also provided. In addition to this we also have a private lawned/patio area to the side of the annex which can be made completely secure for dogs or children.
The home is located in a country setting in Farrington Gurney, just down the road from the Farrington Park Golf Club. A handful of quaint eateries and pubs are all nearby, as is the local produce and bakery at the Farrington Farm Shop.

  • Sue was an excellent host even though we never met. The extra little touches in the property where very much unexpected but appreciated. Very clean, warm and cosy with excellent communication. Would definitely recommend and return to stay again if I was returning to the area.

    Wayne2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The standard of accommodation and amenities goes way above and beyond the 'norm'. We were amazed at just how many extra things were available in the kitchen: not just salt, pepper and oils, but a whole range of herbs, plus milk in the fridge, tea and coffee (and filter coffee if wanted) ~ loads of things that we didn't use as we took most of our own stuff! We never got the chance to actually meet Sue unfortunately, but communications were friendly and she was quick to reply to questions. The bed was like being at home for us: a memory foam mattress that was incredibly comfortable. A nice touch were the motion sensor lights that came on as you entered the kitchen and the bathroom. We couldn't fault the cleanliness of the whole apartment, and it was lovely and quiet, too. We were down in the area to attend a weekend event at the Bath & West Showground, and it was an easy 30-minute drive from there.

The 'Little House' is light and spacious with a 'holiday' feel and Moroccan details. It is self contained with it's own parking, entrance and bathroom. It sleeps 2 adults plus a baby (see pictures of travel cot. Ideal for visiting Bath, Bristol, Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Chew Valley Lake (all within 10-12 miles drive) plus Longleat, Glastonbury, Stourhead, Tyntesfield, Stone Henge etc...(all within an hour or so)
There are many great places to eat out in the local area all within a short drive or even a walk. There are many footpaths from right outside, you can walk to the waterfall in the woods, or over the fields to the Temple Inn. Clutton has it's local pub 'The Railway' in the middle of the village, a short walk

The house was as described, important things were right like comfortable bed and great shower. Also, great communication and understanding hosts - they deserve their superhost status! I would definitely recommend!

  • Lovely, cosy room with many TV channels, a lovely, modern shower and small, considerate touches. The basic kitchen facilities and laminated card with thoughts about the area really assisted out weekend stay. Hannah is a welcoming and friendly host in a quiet, family neighbourhood. Suitable for a cosy, weekend couples stay.

    Laura2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I decided to book Hannah and Ben's place at very short notice and straight away I received messages from Hannah regarding the chalet. I received communication leading up to my arrival. Hannah was very accommodating and she met me outside to show me the place I was staying in. I received a very warm welcome from her. The chalet is very cute and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including extras like breakfast items and facilities to make hot drinks. Hannah's place was very clean and just perfect for what I needed it for. Parking is easy outside, even with some work being on the driveway, there is plenty of on-road parking. I would definitely recommend Hannah's place and if I ever need another place to stay temporarily then I wouldn't hesitate booking Hannah's chalet again. Thank you for being a great host!

    Yuenny2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely clean room with all you need for a short stay. I had a great night sleep and the breakfast stuff was a lovely touch for the morning!

    Joseph2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We needed a place to stay for one night as we were attending a 30th birthday party five minutes down the road and Hannah and Ben's place was absolutely perfect! The bed was comfy and the added touches of tea, coffee and breakfast items were really lovely! Excellent value for money too! Thanks Hannah and Ben, you made a short stay very pleasant indeed.

    Jemma2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Beauty Room was incredibly cosy, private and well placed to hop in a car or cab to Bath & beyond! One of the hosts, Ben, greeted us and showed us to our chalet where we were greeted with some complimentary breakfast snacks, teas & coffees - along with a lovely shower, hair dryer, telly etc. It’s all you need for a cosy night in Somerset! Thanks again for having us, can’t wait to stay again sometime soon!

    Gary2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

A very cosy, privately-accessed tiny house in my garden. It has a comfy double bed, heater, electric hob, wi-fi, and lamps. It's a GLAMPING experience with electricity and a CAMPING LOO in the same room, but NO SHOWER. Fresh water is provided in a container plus selection of tea & coffee. Guests describe it as 'magical' - it's very cosy and cute. Bath 8 miles, Bristol 11 miles and Wells 8 miles. In walking distance are 2 pubs, a fish and chip shop and a village shop. Car is essential.
Please read! This is a very pretty tiny house in a small converted outbuilding. At the top of my garden, with its own access away from the house, it's adjacent to open fields, with views of rolling hills and woodland. Access is via a public path that runs along the side of my garden and is adjacent to the Shed. This is a great option if you want somewhere very cute and cosy to stay, close to Bath and are prepared to glamp. There is electricity, a heater that is very efficient and warm for the colder months, and a double ring electric hob. The heater pumps out masses of heat and it's very cosy. There is wi-fi and a digital radio with Bluetooth. Although there is NO BATHROOM, the camping loo is good, and if you heat a little water for the bowl you can have a little wash! The camping loo IS in the same room. Towels and soap are provided. An off-street parking space is also provided. Although we are close to Bath and Bristol, you WILL need a car to get here, and then get around. There are very few buses to Bath and Bristol and none at the weekends. When the candles are lit at night, and you're cradling a mug of tea in the morning whilst listening to the birds, the sense of romance and escape is palpable. This is a great option for glamping in complete comfort, at a very reasonable price. It's an easy two minute walk down the road to get takeaway fish and chips, or go to the local pub. 15 minutes walk away is The Hunter's Rest, a large classic country pub. 5 minutes drive away is The Pig, a beautiful country house with amazing food and gardens. The Pony and Trap, Michelin-starred and delicious, is 10 minutes away by car.
High Littleton is a village close to Bath and Bristol. Our house is on the very edge of the village, next to fields. It's a welcoming village, with many amenities, a Post Office, a village shop, a pub, a fish and chip shop, a vintage furniture shop, and another pub 15 minutes walk away through the country lanes. We have the beautiful Greyfield Woods in the village, just 5 minutes walk away, with its own waterfall. One mile down the road is The Bookbarn International, a book shop with over a million books, nearly all priced £1! It also has a very good cafe which does a great breakfast. Chew Valley Lake is 5 miles away, and of course Bath and Bristol are 20 minutes and half an hour respectively. Michelin-starred 'The Pony and Trap' is a ten minute drive.
  • This is a beautiful little space, very warm and cosy with lovely little touches that made it feel very special. It is in a perfect location for exploring Bath and Bristol and for the price you get so much, exactly as described and we didn't want for anything whilst we were there. When we'd been out for a while we did find we came back to lots of woodlouse on our things but it just felt like camping so we didn't really mind. The slats in the bed did come off a few times but they're quite easy to slot back into place. All in all we had a lovely stay and will definitely be recommending it to others x

  • Creative, relaxing space. Remarkable how we only stayed a night and felt such an escape! Great for a stopover to Cornwall. Brill friendly local pub too, with great service.

  • Kirstie’s place is great! If it’s character you’re looking for, look no further!

    Matt2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Pretty Shed is a great value place to stay. Everything you need and more. Lovely and peaceful, really comfy bed, just a very relaxing space. Communication with Kirstie was great, and the heating and lights had been put on for our arrival meaning it was nice and cosy to arrive to on a cold winters evening. We had a delicious meal at The Old Station Inn, just down the road in Hallotrow, and a few drinks at The Star Inn, in High Littleton - recommend both.

    Kate2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • For a wonderful and very luxurious clamping experience in a fabulous spot Kirstie’s place has to be the first choice destination. In a really very prettily decorated and adapted shed at the top of her garden it’s a perfect and private haven. Kirstie is the most wonderful host and left me to my own devices but got back to me immediately I had a question. It’s warm. Sunny. Cosy. Wonderful. Xxxx

The Hole in the Wall is part of a Grade 2 listed building, the owners occupy the main house and the refurbished cottage (which is separate) is at the rear, it is 20 - 30 mins from Bath, Wells, Longleat, Glastonbury & Cheddar. On the ground floor there is a well equipped kitchen diner, on the first floor there is a large lounge with sofas at one end and a double bed room area at the other end. There is also a separate bedroom with twin beds, there is a comfy foldaway bed for a 5th guest.
The Hole in the Wall was originally a public house and the cottage was the brewery. After being derelict for several years it was completely renovated to a very high standard in 2016. The main lounge had many original Victorian features including a marble fireplace and original ceiling rose.
  • A great friends catch-up weekend in this beautiful property. Wonderfully clean and comfortable and 2 mins from some lovely pubs with friendly locals. Highly recommended. Thanks Emma.

  • My partner & I enjoyed our first stay at Gert Lushing & exploring the local area so much we returned for a second time to celebrate my partners birthday & again we had a lovely, peaceful & private few days at the hut. Charlotte was fantastic, kindly arranging flowers & a card for my partners birthday to be in the hut to surprise him on our arrival & leaving us extra blankets, heater & hot water bottles to keep us extra warm at night! We were there mid December on the last weekend before they close for the winter & were impressed by how warm the 2 heaters kept the hut, we were nice & toasty throughout our stay. Charlotte was always there on the end of the phone if we needed anything but gave us lots of privacy & space to relax & enjoy our time together. Great space, great host, great time, thank you!

    Julia2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Gert Lushing is the perfect little place to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while. Communication was great and we had everything we needed for a few days stay. The Oakhill Inn served lovely food and the 10% discount was a bonus. Would definitely stay at Gert Lushing again!

    Sarah2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, great views of the field and farm and a really cosy cabin! There was everything we could possibly need to cook and prepare food, managing to make fajitas, hot sandwiches, jacket potatoes and even bake some cookies! The cabin was amazingly clean and cosy, and the choice of two heaters to use to warm the room up were much needed when it got chilly! It felt especially comfy when laying in bed listening to the rain on the roof (there was lots of it!). Thanks again Charlotte, we hope to see you soon.

It's matched only by the hospitality of hosts Emilie and her husband, who went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. They even made us a cake which I didn't eat all of and am still regretting not doing so.

Property heated by electric boiler) The property is reached by a private track that is shared by the other Old Miner Cottages within the row of houses. The track is slightly set back and runs adjacent to the main road between Midsomer Norton and Farrington Gurney. The track is a rather bumpy one so care needed when driving along this to reach the property, but once at the property, the driveway in front of the house is laid to tarmac and property is tidy and well looked after! There is a Tescos a 1 minute drive away and Midsomer Norton town centre is approximately a 3 minute drive where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and various takeaways (Indian, Thai, Chinese, Fish & Chips, Greek, Dominoes) There is a cycle path a short ride / walk away which connects Midsomer Norton through to Radstock. The Mining Museum and the Somerset and Dorset Railway are 2 local tourist attractions within short driving distance (or a nice walk or cycle for those keen walkers or cyclists!) There is also the fabulous Farrington Farm Shop (approx 1 minute drive away) selling local produce and a great little cafe serving good home cooked food and fantastic homemade cake! Here there is also a Soft Play Barn and a childrens' outside play area where the children can also meet the local farm animals so a great little stop for breakfast or lunch. As this property is at the end of a row of cottages we kindly ask for you to respect our lovely neighbours in terms of noise, especially after 10pm Thankyou!
Midsomer Norton is a small old mining town - there is a main high street shops, pubs and restuarants and take always and a visitor attraction of the Somerset & Dorset Railway. Radstock Mining Museum is also a recommend place to visit. The property is in a row of old Miners Cottages which were used to house mining families working at the local Old Mills pit. From the front of the house you can still see the remaining old slag heap which is a visible land mark that can be seen from a fair few miles away! Midsomer Norton is an excellent central location to explore Bath, Bristol, Wells and Cheddar.

We have stayed in previous properties and been disappointed- not here. The hosts were extremely helpful leading up to the stay and made us feel very welcome. Fabulous weekend !

  • Tony's place is lovely. The cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated. The beds are comfy and the area is quiet so you get a good night's sleep. Tesco is a short walk away and the town is about a 20 minute walk away, depending on how fast you walk. We spent a wonderful Christmas here with our lovely family. We would recommend Tony's place to our family and friends. We would certainly stay here again. Thank you Tony and Marie for everything.

    Allison2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend this lovely cottage. It is modern, clean, comfortable and literally has everything you could need for a break away from home. We stayed the weekend before Christmas and Tony and Marie had even decorated. Such a welcoming and thoughtful touch! Would love to stay again.

  • Tony and Marie are incredible hosts and we honestly cannot fault them on anything! They communicated well with us prior to our arrival and made our stay everything and more than we could have wished for. The accommodation is modern, clean and tidy and extremely homely. The local amenities are very close by, which was very convenient. We were visiting the area to celebrate our Mum's birthday and Tony and Marie's place really did make it extra special. We highly recommend this beautiful little gem!

    Donovan2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had everything we needed at Tony and Marie’s place, they communicated really well with us and so check in was super easy. Everything was very clean, it was nice and warm and everything modern and new. Would highly recommend!

This charming, pet-friendly cottage is set within its own gardens and offers everything you need for your holiday in the country. The house is situated in a friendly village equidistant to Bath, Bristol and Wells if you crave culture, shopping or fine dining. Those seeking a rural retreat will find historic Greyfield Woods a 5-minute walk away and 3 pubs that serve food within walking distance. Glastonbury, the Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge are a short drive away.
The Garden Rooms is a quaint, self-contained property that backs onto fields and sits a mere five minutes away from the historic Greyfield Woods. The house mixes both modern and period charms, and was recently renovated from top to bottom with handmade touches such as the custom-built bed nook and the vintage sliding barn door. This cosy home is the perfect place to get away from it all. You'll enjoy your own front garden with fruit trees and benches and chairs for nursing a cup of tea before heading out on one of the many stunning local walks. Stepping inside, a brand-new kitchen offers everything you need including a fridge freezer, a fan-assisted oven, induction hob and the essential kitchen equipment you'll need for making a home cooked meal. There is also a rustic breakfast bar for eating or working, hooks for your coats and even a place to store your shoes. Out of the kitchen window you can enjoy watching the antics of some of our garden hens during the warmer months. A cozy lounge boasts a toasty electric woodburner, a smart telly with Freeview and board games for lazy nights in. The WiFi is excellent, great for those who need to work online or if you'd like to stream movies or programmes through your Netflix account. The master bedroom is the real stunner, with a custom-made bed nook, a reading chair, hooks for a dressing gown and and chest of drawers for storing your things. There is a bookcase with plenty to read including a guide to local walks and the wildlife you may encounter. Behind the old barn door is the bathroom with a hot electric shower and large heated towel rail. Plenty of towels and blankets are provided to keep you warm and dry. We give our guests privacy and will leave you to enjoy your stay. We are always happy to answer any questions and please do let us know if you have any concerns - just send us a message! Parking is street parking only. There is plentiful free parking on Greyfield Road - a 1 minute walk from the house.
The Garden Rooms is situated in the friendly Somerset village of High Littleton, which is equidistant from Bath, Bristol and Wells, and is within short driving distance of iconic locations like Cheddar Gorge, the Mendips, Chew Valley Lake, and Glastonbury. Bristol Airport is a 25 minute drive through the picturesque countryside. Visitors will feel right at home in our friendly village and will enjoy the convenience of three local pubs which serve a variety of reasonably priced food. You'll also probably want to visit our local chippy, The Haynes, which is something of a Somerset legend. Two local shops provide all provisions you need, including an off-licence and freshly made sandwiches - and both are within walking distance. No visit should be without a stroll through the historic Greyfield Woods and its stunning waterfall, which is loved by both children and dogs alike and sits just a stone's throw from the Garden Rooms.
  • 100% Recommend. Such a beautiful place! Location is perfect for visiting both Bristol and Bath.

    Joanna2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t doubt just book it! Perfect little romantic cottage for two. Me and my boyfriend went for a long weekend and loved it! The decor is gorgeous and makes you feel at home right away. (Also 5* from cleanliness!!) There’s everything you possibly could need for a break away. Even Netflix and catch up tv even if your looking for a cosy day in watching movies. Instructions and communication are brilliant. We let our self in and out with no pressure of returning a key. It’s completely detached so you have complete space to yourself. Situated in a good area- driving distance away from must see places like cheddar gorge, Glastonbury tor, Ebbor gorge and Wells! If you’re looking for a quiet few days away to relax with a book or a movie, or even looking for an adventure around the Mendip hills this is perfect! ‘The garden room’ did not disappoint at all!

This self contained apartment is one of 3 guest rooms within our self-built eco veggie house. One private bedroom with a double bed, en-suite toilet/bathroom, complete with bath and shower, plus an open plan kitchen with electric hob, microwave and everything else. Attached to this is the living room, with ability to make a comfortable second double bed. Ideal for families 10 miles from Bath and Bristol.
The apartment itself, although part of the main house, is a private and very relaxing place. Feel free to mingle with ourselves and other guests in the rest of the house or enjoy a quiet and peaceful break on your own. We also have a twin and a double room that are both available through Airbnb We very much look forward to meeting you and sharing our space.
We hope that the B and B will just help to make further and far reaching connections and not just be a soulless interaction... Of course though , we are just as happy for people to come and just chill. Tourist attractions in the area include: Bath, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor, Roman Baths, Wells Cathedral, Wookey Hole Caves, Bristol and all it's attractions from amazing graffiti art ( it is Banksy’s home after all) to Brunel's fantastic architectural achievements. Equally there are some lovely walks on the doorstep and Europe’s largest second hand bookshop ( the book barn) within walking distance
  • We had a very pleasant experience in this lovely and unique apartment! Highly recommended!

    Alan2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful space filled with fascinating objects of interest everywhere! Marta was a wonderful host, and the airbnb was clean and well thought out. We especially loved reading the story of the place in the guidebook over a glass of wine, it definitely made us appreciate the space and gave a beautiful insight into how it all came be! Highly recommend this place, it’s location is perfect for visiting Bath, the Cheddar Gorge and Bristol. We will be back!

    Jade2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely home, really nice and warm and a quirky place to stay! Memories made!

    Ruby2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Rockaway House is an inspiring place to stay if you like sculpture, and value recycling. Mark and Marta made us very welcome and we had a great couple of days relaxing despite the terrible storms. It was warm and comfortable inside even when it was blowing a gale outdoors, which is real credit to all the effort that has gone into building this unique place. We didn't try the vegan cafe (weekdays only) but had a good meal at the pub down the road and a memorable walk to the waterfall. Thanks,

    Simon2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great, yet quirky, place to stay. A brilliant space to just chill out. Quiet surroundings, good views, not far from Bath. Great host. We will definitely be returning.

    Keith2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. A wonderful and cool home and exactly why we use air bnb rather then hotels. Rockaway really is a tourist destination in its own right. Out only compliant is that we didn’t stay longer.

    John2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, unusual setting. Lovely little space for us and our dog, great bath, kitchen had all we needed, would return.

    Phoebe2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Rockaway Park is genuinely unique. The house is eclectic, alternative, full of fascinating and unusual art objects and other trinkets lining a stunning living space with awesome country views. The kids loved pottering around the huge communal lounge and exploring the artist welding yard. Marta’s food is delicious also. As the listing says, it is not for overly fussy types, so don’t expect absolute 100% levels of cleanliness, but the apartment was very tidy, well equipped and comfortable. Overall highly recommended!

    Olivia2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely two days at Glen and Kirsty's place. It is a sparkling clean, fully-equipped annexe in the garden of their home, in quiet countryside only a short drive from Bath. What was even nicer were the hospitable touches - the food left for breakfast, warm welcome, and heater turned on for our return when we were late back one evening. We only wish that we could have stayed longer!

    Jack2020-02-19T00:00:00Z

  • What an amazing place! Lovely setting in the countryside but also close to Bath city centre. Shame we only stayed one night, would have happily stayed longer. Glen and Kirsty were amazing hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We were made to feel at home! Lovely little touches within the property too! Immaculate! We will be returning!

Lake House is a modern, relaxed, light, airy and comfortable place to stay in a beautiful quiet location. We are conveniently situated mid way between Bristol, Bath, Wells and The Chew Valley all accessed 20 minutes by car. As well as many fabulous places to visit, eat and drink we are a 2minute walk from The Hunter's Rest pub offering food and drink all day every day!
We take great pride in Hartley Wood as first and foremost it is our home. We feel lucky to be able to share it with our guests and know that they will love the relaxed atmosphere, wildlife and views as much as we do. We feel we have the best of both the attractions of Bath, Bristol and Wells with all they have to offer within a short car journey alongside an abundance of beautiful countryside with walking, site seeing and exploring. Cheddar, the Mendips, Weston Super Mare and Salisbury plain are also within an hours drive.
  • Lovely place - the photos don't give it full justice. The open plan layout of the lounge/kitchen works perfectly, the bathroom was spacious and warm and the bed was really comfortable. A perfect location if you like driving along country lanes which offer some stunning scenery. Easy drives (with sat-nav!) to so many beautiful places such as Cheddar, Wells, Bath, Bradford-on-Avon. Really good value, thank you Michele!

  • The flat was lovely and clean. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Great location, nice quiet area but a quick 15-20 minute drive to the park and ride to Bath, or 25-30 minute drive to Bath city centre. Michele was more than helpful, lovely and welcoming. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful Ottoman Farmhouse style summer house, a gorgeous little retreat for a peaceful break, a writing holiday or a few days of reflection amongst nature. The sun will pour through the oak tree above your head and there is a stream not far away. A simple breakfast of warm croissants will be delivered in a basket onto your private deck or left in your fridge, tea and coffee is available in the summer house and there is a homely pub for an inexpensive tasty meal a few minutes away.
It is small but there is everything you need for a perfect stay. It is very warm in winter. Mobile signal is not great, but you can blame the Jack and Jill Hill, the actual one from the nursery rhyme for that! There is an exquisitely comfortable double bed, a fridge, shower, sink, toilet, table, deck and kettle in the summer house. There is NO kitchen. All new bedding, mattress and towels.
There is lots to see and do. The Jack and Jill Hill with its well at the top, the miles and miles of walks and cycle tracks through beautiful Somerset right from the house, the pub and Babington House or you could stay in the hammock in the garden. If you want to get in your car, Bath is ten miles away, Frome seven, Stonehenge an hour and Glastonbury and Longleat twenty to thirty minutes.
  • Jacki is a sublime host and quite the talented lady to boot...the tiny house is quainter than quaint and extremely robust, it blew a gale the first night and I have never felt more cosy and secure. The local countryside is wondrous. I like to run and there is a perfect cycle path behind Jacki’s house for cyclists and runners...fab!

    Paul2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Snuggly cabin overlooking a garden framed with a stream, and woken with warm croissants & other goodies. Perfect!

    Harry2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish cozy cabin style accommodation. Great touches of real ground coffee, and milk in the fridge. Tasty croissants and bread (for toasting) for breakfast in a basket with butter and jam left outside on the deck every morning. Great location for walkers and cyclists, being close to National Cycle Network route 24 - known as the Colliers Way, it goes from Dundas Aqueduct to Frome. Jacki is a friendly, thoughtful host, and we'd love stay there again.

  • Very cute summerhouse, exactly as it looks in the pictures, we went in the winter and it was very warm with the heater on!

  • Absolutely beautiful, serene and peaceful space. I came for a bit of a mini-retreat and it really was the perfect place for it. I will definitely be back!

  • Jacki made our staying in her lovely tiny cottage just amazing! I can recommend this place any time a year. It was hot and comfortable despite the weather. Everything was clean and stylish. And the breakfast was delicious!

  • If you are looking for peace and quiet, to relax alone or with another, this is the place to do so! The tiny house is situated in a great location, with beautiful surroundings and is a great base for either walking or driving to the neighbouring villages and towns. The space itself is stylish, cosy and has all the amenities you'd need for a short break, and you will not find a better host than Jacki. She's genuine and personable with great local knowledge, and cannot do enough for her guests! Go visit for yourself and reconnect with nature!

  • We loved our stay here. Leanne is a great host and offered lots of helpful tips for exploring the area. The albertine is also a beautiful little place perfect for a weekend away. And it was super clean :)

  • We loved our stay here. It was in a great location close to Bath yet located in a quiet part of the countryside. The space was cosy and the view from the bed was stunning. The hand written note, home made jam and other bits were also a great personal touch! We’ll be back.

  • The Albertine is absolutely beautiful. Photos don’t give it justice. Very modern and clean. The views from the window are outstanding. When we visited the weather was bad but this didn’t make a difference, it’s an amazing place to relax. Bathroom was very nice and clean. The basket of goodies was also a lovely touch. Will definitely be returning in the future.

  • What an amazing place. My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway before New Years. We couldn’t have booked a better place for couples near bath. The views from the place make the short drive from bath totally worth it. The quietness, the birds singing in the morning, the delicious strawberry jam provided... I could go on. The host also recommended a pub (7 min drive) called The hunters rest, Where we had a Sunday roast and it was amazing.

  • My husband and I could not have asked for a better place to stay for our short trip away from London. The pictures don't actually do justice to how the room is filled with so much natural light - the views were breathtaking! The picnic basket full of goodies and the welcome note were very thoughtful touches.

  • This location was perfect. The host was friendly, caring, polite and very quick to respond. The place was clean, stylish and worth every penny, the morning view was breathtaking! I Took my girlfriend here to propose and she said yes :) So it's a perfect getaway for couples.

  • We really loved our stay at the Albertine, and Leanne was an amazing host. The place had all the facilities you would need, in this very smart living space. Very modern, both in terms of decor and functionality. Small touches and excellent hospitality really made it feel like a home. Leanne responded quickly to our questions and provided all the necessary information. We would highly recommend this airbnb for a couple, in the beautiful countryside, close to Bath and Bristol.
