Back to nature - Sleepy Hut is a 2.5m high insulated wooden hut nestled within a peaceful woodland setting known as Sleepy Hollows. Surrounded by a haven of birdsong, river-walk only 300m from the front door, and just off the Wild Atlantic Way - a great base for exploring north-west County Donegal. 3 minute stroll to local pubs Teach Tessie, and Leo's Tavern. 9 minute drive from Blue Flag beach (Carrickfinn), 15 minute from Errigal Mountain, 25 minute from Glenveagh Castle & National Park.
The hut is situated on our small, adult-only campsite, and includes a private stone covered patio and small grass garden area, with a communal campfire. It has insulated double skinned walls and suitable for use all year round - climbers and walkers can make good use of the hut in the winter months - without having to worry about dealing with a wet tent. Inside the Hut is a small hard surface area (for shoes, bags etc) and a large padded floor. This is the sleeping area - and comes with a comfy small double sofabed supplied. It is ideal for 2 adults sharing - 3 adults can use this space but please only bring two friends that you would gladly share a 3 person tent with! Note there is an extra charge for the third person. You can opt to bring your own linen, blankets or sleeping bags, towels, cooking equipment etc. But you can leave your tent behind! Whilst bedding (linen, duvet and towels) is not initially provided with your booking, it can be arranged ahead of your stay with a small single surcharge of €10 for 1-2 people, or €15 for 3 people (payable upon arrival), and we will dress the beds for your stay - the linen charge covers your entire stay. There is a shared Campers kitchen for your use with dish-washing area; fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and various cooking utensils to borrow if needed during your stay. Free hot showers, all day – no coins or tokens (shared with other campers). Foraging onsite with permission – please speak with us first to help ensure environment sustainability and stability. We are Pet-Friendly – pets are welcome free of charge permitting their waste is cleared up and disposed. Onsite, dogs must be kept on a lead. Recycling is compulsory at Sleepy Hollows - if you’re found to not be adhering to this simple task, you will be asked to take all your rubbish with you. Guest access Our guests have the exclusive use of the hut, stone chip patio area and small garden area. Free kitchen and bathroom facilities - shared with other campers. Guests are welcome to roam the 5 acre property and can access the nearby river from our private pathway.
Our hut is located just off the Wild Atlantic Way and is a great base for exploring the north-west of County Donegal. A 3 minute stroll to local pub Teach Tessie, and pub and restaurant Leo's Tavern - renowned for its live Irish traditional music sessions (most nights), and being the birthplace of world famous musical talents Enya, Clannad and Moya Brennan. 9 minute drive from the nearest Blue Flag beach (Carrickfinn), 15 minute drive from Errigal Mountain, and 25 minute drive from Glenveagh Castle and National Park. The Sleepy Hut is in a semi-rural location so a bike, motorcycle or vehicle is ideal. Taxis from the airport and to local area can be arranged. There are many beautiful walks on our doorstep we can recommend; areas to enjoy picnics, places to eat-out, drink and soak-up the local culture. Our property is sometimes visited by a small group of deer, and otters have been sighted along our river that contains salmon.
  • Great spot! We booked very last minute on Friday and stayed for one night. There's was showers and an indoor cooking area with everything you could need during your stay. Nic and Ian were really friendly and made the stay extra nice. The campfire was a really really nice touch.

  • Nic and Ian are very hospitable over the long weekend we hand a great time. Pub down the road was very handy and walkable in 5 mins and you could get grub there. • We loved this wee hut. It was perfect for our nights stay. Like camping but a bit fancier! We weren’t sure how warm we would be in the hut and it was a little cold sitting in there, but we were actually very toasty throughout the night and had brilliant sleeps! Ian was a great host, he lit us a camp fire when we arrived and suggested a few cool places nearby we could check out. The amenities were also great, hot running water for showers and in bathrooms and an inside kitchen, as well as blankets and hot water bottles and lovely lighting inside the hut as well as a few candles to set the scene. We hope to be back in the summer!

  • Ian was the perfect host! He met me when I arrived and showed me to the cottage. The cottage was exactly as advertised and a perfect place to rest on the Wild Atlantic Way. Would highly recommend!

  • Stopped off in Crolly to Nic and Ian's place while out cycling in Donegal for a few days. Really cool site with great amenities. Everything was really tidy and clean and Nic and Ian were really helpful. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area again and definitely recommend to anyone else doing some exploring up in Donegal.

  • Absolutely loved staying at sleepy hollows! The hut is just as described. All amenities are great and the place is super clean! Ian & Nic couldn't have been more helpful! We enjoyed it that much we booked to go back with friends later on the in year! Thanks for having us 😁

    Jodie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely the place to stay if you're anywhere nearby. Easy to get to by foot/bus if that's how you're traveling! Right near a couple of pubs, too. Nic and Ian were very kind and personable hosts. I loved my stay in the little hut! Such a cool design.

  • Fabulous stay. Gorgeous cabin. Has everything and so welcoming if you have a wee pooch. Nic and Ian are wonderful hosts. Looking forward to visiting again v soon. Highly recommend!

  • Nic & Ian’s Cabin was everything we expected and more! They were amazing with responding to any questions we had about the area and made plenty of suggestions to keep us busy over the long weekend. We felt at home as soon as we walked in, lovely personal touches and honestly one of the comfiest beds we’ve ever slept in! Not to mention the cabin is a stones throw from two local pubs serving great grub and great Guinness. We also couldn’t believe how close we were to Glenveagh National Park and Mount Errigal, only a 10-20min drive from the cabin! Would highly recommend staying here and we will be back again in better weather for Mount Errigal!

  • This place is fantastic, sparkling clean with everything at hand. Ian and Nic are so helpful, thinking of everything

    Mary2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant stay in the Sleepy Hollow Cabin, it is a very special find. It was so spacious, with a lovely bedroom with the comfiest bed, a kitchen that had everything you needed to make lunch or even dinner and a lovely front area to sit and relax in. The location is perfect if you plan on driving around and sightseeing and the 2 pubs, a quick 5 minute walk down the road, are perfect for dinner and a drink. Ian and Nic were so friendly and accommodating with a lovely welcome and helped answer all our questions throughout the trip. The accommodation really made our weekend away!

    Daisy2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nic & Ian were great hosts, the locals all said great things about them as well. The place is situated in a lovely rural area just off of the Wild Atlantic Way, where deer roam passed the little cabin. With very few people, a great getaway from city living, with many walks close by and a national park not too far up the road.

    Stuart2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Well what can we say ... the cozy cabin surpassed our expectations ! Once again Ian and Nic were fabulous hosts and the cabin is truly a little piece of heaven , so many thoughtful touches . Looking forward to our next stay in December 🤗🤗🤗🌈❤️🍂

    Rhonda2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • We were in need of a couple of days away somewhere off the beaten track but comfortable and cosy and ideally within walking distance of somewhere to get a bite to eat. Well, Ian and Nic’s cabin ticked every one of those boxes. Perfect for two people, we couldn’t believe how they managed to provide every necessary amenity in a small space but with no sense of clutter at all. Really loved the living room: a lovely imitation fire, comfy seating and the wind in the trees to help me to focus on some much neglected reading time. So many amazing landscapes and locations only a short drive away. Nic and Ian communicate really quickly and are very friendly by message and in person. An unbelievably inexpensive stay too. Highly recommended.

    Philip2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay, couldn’t recommend it enough! Location is fab close to everything, the walk down through the woods to the river is beautiful. Nearby the beach walk at the airport is stunning. The national park is a great place to visit also. The cabin is really well equipped every small detail is thought of from hooks in the bathroom for your towels, fresh flowers, and nice and cosy. The bed is so comfy. The hosts were really welcoming and loaned us a book for walks. The local pubs are fab the food in Leo’s was especially nice. Ian was telling us about the will deer we managed to spot three of them. Hope to go back in the future the best Airbnb we have stayed in everything was perfect.

I have a B&B set in the lovely village of Meenaleck. We are 10 near some beautiful hills to suit everyone from easy to hard, Errigal mountain being one of them views being spectacular. We have also have beautiful beaches Carrickfinn being voted the best in world by national geographic for its scenery. At night we have our very own traditional bar with a Cosy feel to it to rest and directly across we have the famous Leos Tavern home to Enya and clannad who host an array of music nightly,
  • Catherine was a lovely and helpful host who made us feel very welcome! The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was a great addition too! Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay whilst seeing this gorgeous part of the world.

    Christine2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely digs over a really nice pub. If you're in luck like we were you might get some tunes. Flexible re breakfast and checkout which was great.

    Nova2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • A very warm trip, this is the Gaelic area, and the landlord taught me a few simple Gaelic words. Breakfast is also very good, 10 minutes walk to the locallink bus stop, but the landlord came to pick me up at the station. There is a famous bar next to it, but there is no music on Sunday night in the off season.

    Zerui2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second visit to Teach Tessie. I had mistakenly booked a room for 1 person when I was visiting with a friend and only realised the mistake as I was driving from Belfast. Catherine quickly rang around nearby places to see if anywhere was available for one of us, but in the end a single mattress on the floor of the room was fine for me for one night and we had our own rooms the next night. Really appreciated her efforts. A cosy place to stay, lovely breakfast in the morning. I'm sure I will be back again.

    Jonathan2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine and Paul are great hosts, and gave me lots of tips about the area!

    Kathleen2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Really welcoming place and very helpful and kind people.

    Tino2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We were charmed by Catherine’s warm and genuine Irish hospitality. The en-suite room was sparkling clean and quite comfortable. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and craic at the cozy bar below the b&b. Breakfast was generous and delicious! Being directly across the street from Leo’s pub was definitely a plus! We highly recommend!

    Amy2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is clearly the place to be if you like REAL Irish pub life. 2 pubs in one village. The amazing music at Leo's and the chat at Teac Tessie's. I loved it and will be returning next year.

  • Cute cottage, great location with pub and shop so close. Love Donegal.

    Lily2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is absolutely adorable and what a wonderful location with the view of the lake. Couldn't believe the size of the cottage which was extremely good value for what you got! The price would befit a 1 bedroom, let alone 4! The fireplace downstairs was a fabulous place to sit with a glass of wine and very cosy. The heating cost us around 2 euro a day and that kept us really toasty, the cottage seemed to keep its heat well once warmed up. Really comfy bed with a lovely thick and warm duvet. The kitchen had everything we needed with nothing lacking. I'm a sea swimmer so I loved being so close to Carrickfinn blue flag beach and went for a couple of dips. The local shop/petrol station is well stocked and there's a takeaway attached that does burgers, kebabs, chicken and chips. You can also get more logs for the cottage fire here. Would highly recommend this beautiful and quaint cottage and the hosts were great with giving local info and check in details

  • Very cozy and clean, beautiful little cottage! Toasty warm. I was really pleased with the place, had a great stay!

    Gerdette2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is beautiful and we really enjoyed sitting at the fire in the evenings. It had everything we needed and brid was very accommodating. It's in a great location and is very spacious. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

    Barry2019-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cottage in a stunning location! Bríd is a superstar and couldn’t have been more helpful and informative! Will definitely be back in the future for a longer stay!!

    Paul2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely old cottage with a fab mezzanine floor which my kids loved having the run off. Beds are comfy and the upstairs shower is good (we didn't use the downstairs shower as it runs on the heating meter). In fact, having a meter system at all to heat the house and the water is a bit extreme, since I feel the house is slightly overpriced for the area. If you are able to split the price between a number of adults it would be better value but when the fellow guests are your own children, it becomes more expensive! A travel cot is provided but I used my own as the cot is far too uncomfortable and even a bit unsteady. I wouldn't like to have a toddler or big baby sleep in it. All in all we had a lovely stay, found Brid just lovely and full of local knowledge. I would consider coming back again.

Perfect location for those flying into Carrickfinn airport(voted the most scenic airport in the world 2018), or those travelling the Wild Atlantic way. Situated at the far end of Carrickfinn peninsula, the house is located right by 2 sandy beaches. An old stone cottage with modern facilities, this is the perfect location to enjoy a break in the Donegal countryside. Car hire available at Carrickfinn airport. 2 daily flights from Dublin, 4 weekly flights from Glasgow.
This is a little bit of heaven on earth! An old stone cottage surrounded by lush gardens in a very tranquil and private setting at a beach! Yet only 7 minutes from the "worlds most scenic landing strip" at Carrickfinn Airport and only 10 minutes drive from Annagry village with restaurants, shops, garages and plenty more. You can have picnics in the gardens under the apple trees or just down the grassy pathway on one of the beaches. Or just relax in the conservatory watching the moon rise from behind Mount Errigal.
We are at the very end of the narrow and winding country road - next stop America! Only passing traffic here would be small fishing boats coming and going from Bunbeg port... So if you are looking for some you time this is it. For a more active approach there are plenty of possibilities from swimming to golfing to mountain climbing etc.
  • Beautiful place! Would recommend

  • We had an amazing weekend at Paivi’s. The weather ended up really bad with a storm but we didn’t mind at all since we had everything we needed in the house . It’s something special sitting in the sunroom with a glass of wine and watching the storm approach. Very private location and perfect spot for bringing the dog. Don’t think he really wanted to come back to Dublin after all the fantastic walks on the beach! Paivi was very thoughtful and checked in with us, as well ensured we knew were we had candles & torches just in case with a power cut. Definitely hope we will be able to visit again!

  • Beautiful property set in a stunning location. Really relaxing family break.

    Fiona2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from 4 days at Paivi’s wonderful cottage by the sea! The cottage was clean, warm and cosy and well kitted out with all that you need for a relaxing stay. The location is just beautiful and even though the weather was much in keeping with the Wild Atlantic Way 😂 we still enjoyed the beach and the view from the sunroom was fantastic. Paivi is a wonderful host with great communication and special touches such as putting the heat and lights on for our arrival! Not forgetting to mention the hot water bottles and board games which the girls loved. We will definitely be back in the future!

  • Perfect beachy getaway! We stayed in ‘the wee house’ for 3 nights in March and absolutely loved it! Sharon and joe were amazing hosts who did everything possible to ensure our stay was perfect. The wee house has everything you need inc a fully equipped kitchen, comfy living area with woodburning stove, bedroom with super kingsize bed and hotel quality bathroom with all the required toiletries and super fluffy towels and robes/slippers. On arrival the kitchen was stocked with all sorts of yummy necessities such as butter, jam, bread, milk, a meat platter and a nice bottle of Prosecco. The house was spotless and lovely and warm, and the interior looks a bit like it came straight out of a magazine! The beach is around 5 mins walk and there are lots of beautiful parks and drives nearby. We would def recommend the wee house, we ended up booking another night as 3 nights just wasn’t long enough! Thanks again Sharon and Joe, great Airbnb!

  • Rudy's house is beautifully remote but has every thing to offer near by from the mountains to endless beaches. The house is warm and cozy great breakfasts that set you up for the day. I really loved comming back to warm friendly atmosphere after braving the February Donegal elements .

  • We had an amazing stay with Rudy! He offered us a dinner when we arrived and it was an absolutely amazing meal, breakfast the next morning was no different, absolutely delicious! Before we leaving he gave us a number of local recommendations to check out along the way. Great hospitality in a very cozy home, would absolutely recommend staying here and if I have the chance I'll make sure to come back!

  • Rudy's house is placed in a beautiful site. You can have a walk from the the house and you're in the middle of the nature, enjoying a quite moment. Rudy will always take care of you and if you have a problem will do anything he can to help you. His delicious meals are prepared to be also good for the eye. I spent two weeks in his house and will again next time i go to Donegal. The only problem i have is that i don't when it will be...

    Claude2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house and great hospitality! Rudy is very welcoming and helpful, I definetely recommend staying there if you visit Donegal. The room was charming and the breakfast excellent and I am especially grateful for the great recommandations on places to visit! I'd love to come again.

  • This was a really fabulous stay. Rudy's hospitality was outstanding, and his house is very special. The location gives easy access by car to many beautiful areas of Donegal, and Rudy took time to suggest places that I might enjoy - all of which I loved. Rudy's cooking is excellent, and I was delighted with both dinners I ate there. My room was stylish and very comfortable. It was lovely to meet members of Rudy's family, and I left in the hope that I'll return one day soon.

    Judith2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rudy is a brilliant host with an amazing home. It had everything (and more!) that we needed for a comfortable stay. Rudy makes a delicious breakfast and gave us great ideas and advice about what to see on our travels. We would definitely recommend Rudy's place to anyone staying in the area.

  • Our stay in Michaela’s was very positive. Michaela is a very thoughtful and caring person and this is reflected all through her home with a theme of wellbeing. Michaela subtly promotes a low impact lifestyle and her breakfasts offer a gentle example into how to eat more ethically, sustainably and healthily. We found the facilities at Michaela’s great, perfect room and bathroom and great WiFi. We will be back.

  • We booked the chalet last minute after the weather turned too bad for camping. Communication and check in were seamless, and the setting of the chalet is beautiful. We were able to watch wild deer from the comfort of the chalet! It is a short 10min walk to a pub with good food and live music. Would definitely recommend!

  • I cannot recommend Amanda's place highly enough. The house is perfect, squeaky clean, cosy and very well furnished. Lots of hot water and a great shower. It makes for a great stay.. the location and views are beautiful. It is relatively isolated (part of the appeal) so a car would be advised. There are some spectacular beaches to be visited too. We stayed as a family and we had a brilliant time, kids & parents alike. We had only arrived and were already plotting our next trip. We will definitely be repeat customers :-)

    Aoife2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This house was amazing, what a great get away in rural Donegal. Granted the weather made it but Amanda had the place spotless along with essentials to keep us going from the second we arrived. Everything from the usual house facilities to garden, picnic table and patio! She has good knowledge of the local area so was able to recommend some great isolated beaches only 10 mins drive away. We will definitely be heading back, this area of Donegal is untouched, well worth the journey!

  • Very pleasant short stay. In the pods there is really everything you need. The place has been designed and organized in every detail. If you are around I recommend a stop. We didn't meet Jimmy because we were autonomous with check-in. I recommend a stop at the Bunbeg Wreck beach "Cara Na Mara", not far away.

  • We had a fantastic stay here - a great escape from the city. Unfortunately the weather was awful at the time we were here but our room was so cosy and comfortable that it wasn't a worry. I hadn't been glamping before so wasn't expecting much but I honestly had a great stay, a fantastic sleep and couldn't get over how spotlessly clean it was. It's a great location for local walks and also for the bar, Sean Og's, just down the road where we spent two fantastic nights and had one of the best meals I've had in a long time. If you want a relaxing escape, this is definitely the place to go!

  • I loved staying with Ethna and Paul - they are wonderful hosts and offered not only a very nice room with everything that I could wish for and a very tasty breakfast, but also a warm welcome with hot tea short bread, a turf fire and very friendly conversations when I came back in the evenings from my daytime activities. Thank you so much for everything!

  • Etha’s Airbnb is a very comfortable home in Bunbeg. The house is modern and in excellent condition with all mod cons. There is WiFi and TV in the room and the en-suite is a spacious walk-in shower room and plenty of hot water. The house is also at a comfortable temperature. I enjoyed the continental breakfast of my choice (specialist diet) and very much appreciated the flexibility to come and go. It was an excellent stay and I slept very well. Very good value.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Ethna's house who really went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. Her house is very pretty and clean. We had great chats an she gave me useful tips on the different places to go to around. (Gola Island is one of them.) Great breakfast in the morning and great bed. (when you travel a bit you know how lovely it is to settle into nice fresh sheet for the night.) Ethna is a very sincere and welcoming person. I'll definitely go back to her place if I happen to be in Donegal again

'Teach Mhaighréide' is located in Irish speaking village of Ranafast, three minute walk from the sea. Private and secluded, the ideal location to explore the area and the Wild Atlantic Way. Beaches, Mountains, Gaelic, and Culture in abundance. 6km from Leo's Tavern, home of Clannad and Eyna. Ideal for families, couples and individuals.
Guests have access to the whole cottage which has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchen and living room. Guests can also access our private gardens which run down to the sea where you can view an assortment of seabirds and our own seal colony
Ranafast is a rural area and one of the few Gaelic speaking areas left in Ireland. It has a rich tradition of song, storytelling and literature. Séamus Ó Grianna or 'Maire' as he was known, lived next door to the cottage, and undoubtedly would have visited the cottage on a regular basis. His list of works include 'Caislean Óir' & 'Nuair a bhí mé Óg'. His brother Seosamh was also a well know writer and his publications include 'Mo Bhealach Féin' & 'An Druma Mór' The cottage is over one hundred and fifty years old and has been in my husbands family's since it was built. The original cottage was much smaller, probably just one room, but it was added to through the generations.
  • Lovely little cottage. Couldn't seem to find the path to the bay unfortunately but in honestly I really needed the rest so this was the perfect little getaway for a rest. We booked this not realising about the impending storm and the storm just made for a very romantic night by the light of a fire and candlelight. It was the perfect wee getaway

  • What a gem of a place. You really feel like you are getting away from it all. The area was gorgeous very quiet and tranquil we felt like we were the only people there. The cottage is very traditional and you really feel like you are getting a taste of living like a local. The cottage was exceptionally clean and we really enjoyed having a real fire every evening. We especially enjoyed our morning walk on the beach very beautiful and we also recommend going to Leos nearby. We toured the wild Atlantic coastline which was very memorable. Thank you for a great stay.

  • Mo's place is amazing from start to finish. Beautifully decorated and so many wonderful finishing touches. Loved all the blankets and throws and really appreciated the electric blanket! We had absolutely everything we needed and one night we cooked and found all the right supplies. Mo has truly thought of everything. View from the apartment is so lovely to wake up to. Good location with nice pubs near by. Also spotlessly clean, couldn't have been cleaner. Thank you so much Mo!!!

    Lauren2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mo's place was warm and cosy and full of thoughtful touches. We arrived from a long and rainy drive to baked goods, candles and heated rooms. Due to a red warning storm we cooked both nights and appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. We will definitely come back to Mo's place and recommend it to family and friends.

    Íomar2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • After a rainy and windy day in Donegal, we entered the apartment en we were SO happy! What a place! It is beautifuly decorated, spacious, very clean, cosy, etc. Mo has thought of everything...there was even an electric blanket... We have traveled a lot and this was one of our best stays! Thank you very much Mo! And keep up the good work! X Elisa and Tim

    Elisa2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed at Mo's beautiful apartment for one night. On arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of wine, home made caramel squares and a personalised welcome note. My wife commented within half an hour that she felt instantly relaxed. The place is beautifully furnished, to such a high standard. There are little touches everywhere that make you smile - Donegal soap, hot water bottles tucked in a drawer, a proper coffee machine, blankets galore, and of course, the outdoor fire pit, where we toasted marshmallows. We'd love to come back someday - thanks Mo!

    Darren2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend this place enough and the host is a super host. That’s all I have to say. Our host actually made our entire stay and our experience in Donegal. From our lovely welcome packs to our tips where to eat! I cannot recommend the home enough. It really is a haven tucked out of the way, and it’s so warm and cosy the place takes 5-10 mins to heat up both water and the home. Everything is equipped with all toiletries you can think of! If you forget anything, don’t be rushing out to buy anything. Firstly, check the basket underneath the cupboards in the kitchen for everything you’ll ever need and more: toothpaste, toothpaste, sanitary products, deodorants for male and female etc. Stay here and you WILL NOT be disappointed. You’re a short walk to a Loch, 10 mins max, and you have a stove burner with plenty of stuff to get a fire 🔥 burning and to sit outside with a bottle of red wine (also provided in Welcome pack) with warm blankets around you (also provided) along with seating out back, with breathtaking views. • Honestly Mo was an outstanding the host this women has put her heart and soul into this apartment!. It is a very private secluded apartment with unbelievable views out every window. Every thing is looked after you could literally leave you house and come here with nothing and you would be 100%. First time ever using Air B&B and I will definitely be back to Mo's! Could not have asked for a nicer apartment a nicer host and a nicer time. Thanks Mo 😁

Mullaghduff is a peaceful townland in beautiful West Donegal. The house is up a private lane and is surrounded by trees and wildflowers a perfect getaway! The house is within walking distance to the well known local pub Bonnar's which is a quaint traditional Irish pub which is steeped in music and culture. The house has lots of natural light and nice views including distant sea views and lake views. It is warm and comfortable. 5 Minutes drive to Carrickfinn Blue Flag Beach.
The house is very private and is nestled in a very nice natural setting. You will be supplied with turf and timber for the fire and Pure Irish Honey from the owners apiary at a different location (when in season). The house is not a 5 star! It is a holiday home which is used by families and if you are looking for a ultra-modern squeaky clean home then please don't book! The house will be cleaned and supplied with fresh linen but it's not a hotel. It is an affordable option for a break in a beautiful part of Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way.
West Donegal which is on the Atlantic coast has an abundance of natural beaty. The people are warm and friendly and easy to talk with. The house is near a number of resturants and bars
  • Lovely seclude place in a quiet area. The views are stunning, being able to open the doors in the morning and just hear the birds or the sea was great. So much todo in the area with stunning beaches and walks. Very much enjoyed my stay and I ended up staying for 2months and 1week. This place is highly recommended for exploring the north and surrounding areas.

The house was brilliant for our dogs too as we were able to walk up the tracks to the back of the house, which had some amazing views! We had a problem getting the washing machine working at the start of our stay so contacted Alison, who was super quick with her response, getting the issue fixed immediately. We would definitely recommend staying here!

  • We spent Christmas at Teach Connell. There were 3 of us and we brought our cat too. The house is beautiful, a cottage feel with modern immenities like fibre broadband. Great for working online, as my partner and I did over the festive period. We were thoroughly impressed by the stylish and practical cottage, set in the middle of beautiful scenery. The kitchen is fully functional and we cooked our Christmas dinner there too! We are very happy with our stay. Sadie was very lovely and helpful, as was Connell too. Thank you!

    Natalie2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Connell and Sadie were great, they are very responsive to any question I had. The house is lovely and very clean! It is big enough for 6 people staying there. If I come back to the area I would definitely stay here again.

  • We had a great two night stay here. The house looks small from outside but it is big. Beds are comfortable and is in a great location in Gweedore. Wouldn’t definitely stay again. Connell is also very prompt at replying.

  • We stayed at Connell’s place for a short family break, 2 adults and 2 teens. The house has recently been refurbished and was very comfortable but still has a lovely Donegal feel. The kitchen was well kitted out and Sadie had left us tea and coffee and milk. Communication was easy with Connell and Sadie was a great host. Keeping in touch and checking in. Bedrooms warm, well appointed and had comfortable mattresses. There is no TV and WiFi and for us that was a bonus as our teenagers actually spent time with us and we played games and read. We had good weather but there is a fire which I’m sure is lovely on colder days.

  • Excellent value for the area, house has lovely character with a great layout.

    Ronan2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We have just had a wonderful two week stay in Sarah’s cottage. As the other reviews state, it’s so much bigger than the pictures suggest. We were a family of four and it was just perfect for us! It is full of charm and is cosy. If you put the heating on - the cottage it heats in minutes and the showers are fab. Sarah is so lovely and responded to any requests or queries very quickly. The location is ace - 12 min walk over the hill /3 min drive to one of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland (Carrickfinn) and a two minute drive from Mullaghderg beach (we think it’s the most beautiful beach in the world!). We had a fantastic time and an extra bonus- the neighbour’s dog, Rosie, has to be the friendliest and cutesy dog on the planet!

    Roisín2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • It was very nice and very cosy at Sarah's house. Unfortunately we didn't met her in person but check in and check out were very uncomplicated. Sarah took care that everything was available in the house so we didn't miss anything. Thanks a lot and we will come back :)

  • We enjoyed a great week here during February. Sarah was a wonderful host and was very responsive to any queries we had.

    Jade2019-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous homely cottage - much cosier than the pictures. Really spacious and great sized bedrooms. Lovely open fire and the host had decorated the hearth for our New Year stay with pretty lights. Very clean and lots of good towels. Well equipped kitchen for cooking (with salt, pepper etc). DVDs, books etc. Throws and blankets to keep you cosy. We felt very at home for our 4 nights and loved the ambiance of the cottage. A night in front of the fire was just perfect. Lovely lamps for a cosy feel. Central heating which heated the cottage very well in chilly December until the fire was going. Great kitchen space for cooking and table for 4 to eat. Friendly neighbour who was happy to give directions to beach etc. Superb location for touring and nearby shops within 5 mins drive. Looking forward to our next trip.

set in the stunning hills of north west Donegal this retro vintage campervan has been fitted out to take full advantage of the incredible views. just open the double back doors, lie back in bed and take in the breathtaking landscape, listen to the birds, watch the dogs play.. no better place to relax, unwind and let the world go by. super comfy bed, quirky spaces, private outside seating and BBQ area and full use of the camping kitchen, shower and toilets as well as the fire pit area and gardens
there are two other caravans nestling in the grounds, we have endeavoured to keep the areas private and sheltered, guests can use the camping kitchen and shower and toilet in the converted barn close by. there is also a communal fire pit space with plenty of seating and lots of different outside areas to chill out in and take full advantage of the site Check out our other listings The Greenhouse Cabin, rural retreat https://abnb.me/EfEI88KpHU The Willow Vintage Caravan https://abnb.me/bznDSIVpHU The Teacup Vintage Caravan https://abnb.me/reTIwN0pHU
North West Donegal is a stunning and mostly undiscovered part of Ireland set on the Wild Atlantic Way. shouldered by hills on one side, giving opportunities for hill walking and trekking especially up Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal and only a 20min drive from the Greenhouse Cabin, and on the other side spectacular beaches, long white sands, dunes, rocks, pretty harbours in particular Carrickfinn beach alongside the airport which is again only a 20min drive from the Greenhouse Cabin. there are many local restaurants, pubs and cafes including the famous Leos Tavern, home of Enya and Clannad where you can get a delicious meal whilst listening to some of Donegals top traditional music. Glenveagh National Park is a 25min drive away and offers awesome scenary, tours of the castle, gardens and many walks and treks along with a cafe and tearooms. Dunlewy Outdoor Centre is 20min drive away and has great indoor and outdoor activities for all the family as well as a craft centre and cafe
  • Caries place exceeded our expectations, wouldn't have changed a thing.

  • The campervan was lovely and even though it was a cold night Carie had a heater on and two hot water bottles available when we arrived so it was very cosy! The communal indoor/outdoor space was very comfortable and we spent the evening playing games by the fire. Carie gave us great tips on which beaches to visit during our stay. The are is fantastic and the landscape is beautiful.

  • Our stay at the Greenhouse Cabin was so enjoyable. The 'sea's the day' van was so clean and cosy and it was a unique experience to your typical stay away in a hotel. The views were amazing and its a short distance from the local teach tabhairne. Carie greeted us on arrival and showed us around before leaving us to enjoy our night stay. We will definitely recommend this experience to our friends and families and hopefully I will be back again in the summer time. 10/10.

  • We loved it!! What an amazing place and how thoughtful all of the little details. We had the best night at the fireplace playing games. When going outside at night, the sky is amazing, so beautiful. Really want to come back soon if possible. The camper is super comfy as well, the bed sleeps very well. I would 100% recommend this place if you like a little bit of an adventure :).

    Lotte2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Carie's place. The area is stunning and very quiet. We loved playing with her two friendly dogs and the rustic feel of the cabins and kitchen area. Highly recommend and the cabins were really warm inside. Carie even left us tea and biscuits as well to enjoy. Was really lovely.

  • The quirkiest form of accommodation, with the most endearing amenities in the most tranquil location. Incredible place to stay, cannot recommend it highly enough!

    Benjamin2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Carie's place is absolutely incredible. We were blown away on our drive to the property- the area is stunning and you really are in the middle of nowhere, away from it all. The space itself is really cute and quirky, with far more amenities than we had expected when booking. We slept really well in our camper with it's super comfy bed and snuggly pillows! We wished we had booked more nights as we didn't want to leave! We were so relaxed even after just 1 night's stay. We loved the super friendly dogs too, it was a pleasure to find them waiting for a fuss this morning as we emerged from our camper! If you're looking for a 5* luxury hotel, this property isn't for you. But, if you're looking for 5* hospitality, and something a little different, then I'm sure you will love the little slice of ecofriendly heaven that Carie has created as much as we did. We will be back! Thanks, Carie!

  • Hands down, BEST Airbnb I have ever stayed at. The glamping caravans are well kitted-out with all the amenities you could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Nice and toasty too; we weren't cold at all. Carie has decorated, both the caravans and the other facilities (kitchen & living space), with beautiful taste. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would 100% repeat. For anyone who is looking to explore Donegal and its wild side, the Greenhouse Cabin is your perfect base. Thank you for such a unique experience, Carie.
