L'aia

The rural house or "Farmhouse" of the Podere di Belforte has ancient origins. Its roots are the history of the hills of Villamagna, where it was erected in the Middle Ages. The first attestations date back to 1200. The architectural structure, the various stone-cracks and the wooden architraves in the walls - brought back to view after the restoration - clarify its use as a Watchtower. In 1700, it was transformed into a farmhouse for agricultural use.

It is located in Settignano, a small neighborhood 6 km from the center of Florence with bus n.10 which end of line is only 50 meters from the access gate of the house.
