  • What a wonderful view of the river and comfortable space to stay! Liked the modern and open concept feel. Evan was a great communicator and prompt to respond with any questions or concerns. We had a nice relaxing time.

  • Awesome spot on the River - Updated and Modern home. What else would anyone need?

    Ruben2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, beautiful home, gorgeous views. What more could you want. The house was very nicely decorated. The views of the river were beautiful. Just 20-30 minutes to multiple wineries and breweries. The host was great and we really enjoyed our long weekend.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful visit at Evan's place. A nice relaxing, peaceful, quiet place with wonderful views of the Shenandoah river.

    Mike2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Evan is an amazing host! He is prompt in communication and thoughtful in his hospitality. The house is very nice, it has beautiful views and I would highly recommend him to everyone who is wanting a beautiful getaway!

    Joe2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home with even better views! Super clean and spacious, we had a great time!

    Molly2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very special place with so many relaxing vacation possibilities. In my case it is a personal retreat, a place to learn, to read, to write, to hike, and to enjoy the river. It has a huge outdoor space and a cozy fireplace inside. It does operate off of a WiFi hotspot so if you have specific streaming needs, I recommend sharing these with Evan before your arrival. Aside from that, the place is literally PERFECT!

In the middle of VA wine country and only minutes to the Appalachian Trail. Enjoy a private apartment in our mountain home with a separate entrance and your own deck with spectacular views of the Shenandoah Valley. There is an outbuilding with a cedar lined Swedish sauna, a hot tub on the deck, and a fire pit overlooking the valley, which is shared with our other Airbnb Guest House. Plenty of wildlife. A welcome basket includes breakfast items, coffee and tea, and bottle of wine.
Our home is located on a peaceful 10 acre mountain retreat in the middle of the woods. Since we are located on a higher elevation temperatures can average 6 to 8 degrees cooler than the surrounding area. The apartment has a mini Fridge, Microwave, Electric Kettle, Drip Coffee Maker and ROKU TV for your use. We have recently opened (Jan 2020) an additional private guesthouse on our property. The guesthouse is a larger space in a detached building with a full kitchen and separate bedroom. You can view it here at https://airbnb.com/h/skyhorseguesthouse Winter Note: The higher elevation also means that ice and snow are here much longer than down in the valley. While we are constantly clearing the deck, stairs, and road, we have no control over Mother Nature and cannot guarantee that the area is free of ice and snow. In particularly snowy weather we may advise that you will need a four wheel or all wheel drive vehicle. Internet Note: We cannot guarantee that the internet will be up and running 100% of the time due to the nature of the point to point wireless connection with the ISP. Strong winds often knock the ISP towers out of calibration and the company is not the fastest to respond.
Peaceful, quiet, on top of a mountain, it's normally 6 to 10 degrees cooler than the valley. We are equidistant between Berryville and Purcellville (10 miles each way). We are about five miles from the small town of Pine Grove, which has The Horseshoe Curve (live music, bar and restaurant), Pine Grove restaurant (great breakfasts!) and the Pine Grove Market and Deli (grocery essentials, plus will deliver pizza on the weekends!)
  • Very comfortable space! Great getaway. Very generous with snacks and toiletries. Felt at home.

  • Beautiful Mountain view and wonderful wood fired Sauna here. Bob was kind, helpful and communicative!

  • A great place for a quiet getaway!

    Kelli2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as described and fantastic. Bob greeted us as we arrived and showed us around. The sauna was amazing. Perfect night away from the rush of DC. Was amazed when we woke up to the amount of fog, then driving off the mountain how it disappeared as we got closer to sea level, so cool.

    Shawn2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Gracious hosts, a wonderful view, comfortable apartment stocked with anything you could need, close to a fantastic hiking trail, I would definitely recommend this AirBnB

    Alyson2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great weekend getaway! The hot tub and sauna was where we spent most of the weekend. The apartment is warm and had nice personal touches. Shower is new, clean, and had great water pressure. Bob, Nancy, and Xena (the best dog ever) we’re incredibly kind and welcoming. We will be staying here again!

    Katherine2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed one night on Valentines Day for a quick getaway. This is a great place to stay overall. The hosts were great with listening to and fulfilling requests, even trivial ones, and making us feel at home. The apartment was stocked with amenities, including snacks and drinks—even a bottle of bubbly! The one thing I that may distract some light sleepers is that the floorboards above us creaked whenever the hosts walked around their house. Not too much, but enough to be noticeable. To their credit, the amenities they provided included ear plugs, though I did not deem it necessary. We plan to visit again, and enjoy the hot tub next time (too windy/cold this time).

You will travel on paved highways for most of your trip, however the last .2 miles is a gravel road with some inclines as you climb the short road to the chalet. If there is chance of snow or ice, 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are strongly recommended. If the mountain has had a lot of snow or ice, we reserve the right to postpone your trip to another vacant time period of your choosing for your safety and enjoyment, or offer a full refund. The owner and/or staff will ensure that you have everything you need at the chalet prior to your arrival and we are available via phone if you have questions.
Extremely private, quiet street nestled in the woods on top of the mountain. Recommend going out to the front deck to see the sunrise and sunset, and get your cameras (or iPhones) ready.

The House is close to great views, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, 20 local wineries, breweries. You’ll love the house because of the ambiance, the outdoors space, the location, we are 100yds off the Appalachian Trail. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The house operates as a Hostel on the Appalachian Trail. We offer AirBnB people one private room. It has a queen size bed and 2 double bunk beds. The room has a full bath with towels, soap and shampoo. .Accommodations include use of the house and a make it yourself pancake breakfast in the morning. Check out is by 10am
  • Definitely a wonderful experience, the hoster Is very nice and friendly. We came late but he helped a lot . And there is a very warm and beautiful house in the forest. All the decorations and the rooms are fantastic. it’s so sad that it was rainy when we came there. Would like to go there again when it’s Sunny .The only one thing Not that girl is the Wi-Fi signal is really weak But that will not ruin the fantastic stay in the house

  • This is a renovated and nicely maintained structure in the woods. The environment is remote and beautifully tranquil. This is a hostel that can accommodate over 30 quests. The air B and B room can accommodate a family of 6 with a private bath. There were 4 of us booked to provide a fun and different place to stay on our way to the drive in movie in Stephen’s city. So this was a really fun adventure staying on the Appalachian trail. The children loved every minute of their stay. They would have been happy to stay longer. Glen is terrific! And makes the stay even better. And everyone gets breakfast too. That was a surprise. My granddaughter made pancakes for everyone. Priced right too.

  • Beautiful location, right next to the Appalachian Trail. Not fancy, but clean, comfortable & perfect for us. Important to know that check-in is at 5pm & doors are not guaranteed to be open prior to 5pm. If you need to arrive early, be sure to clear it with Glen.

The Little House, Built in 1800, is a newly renovated guesthouse on a Farm in Berryville, Virginia. It is comfortably decorated with warm accents. The warmest of all, being the wood burning fireplace:)
The property has stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, horses, cattle, and pasture. The views can be enjoyed by the fire pit, or from the screen door of The Little House. The property is a 5 minute drive from the Shenandoah River, many hiking destinations, and of course, is seated in the heart of the Virginia Wine Country!
Restaurants, Wineries, Breweries, Hiking, Fishing, Civil War Battlefields, Museums, Skyline Drive, and much more! We are within 30 minutes of Leesburg, Winchester, Shepherdstown, Middleburg, Upperville, Bluemont, Millwood, Boyce. And just one hour outside of DC.
  • Ruth’s cottage was wonderful. Clean, in a beautiful setting and great location. Our hosts had quick and prompt communication and we will most certainly be back to stay again and explore the area.

    Ben2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and son in law spent their wedding night in this romantic & charming cottage. It was so wonderful they decided to extend their stay. That process was so simple!! I can’t say enough great things about the hosts, they were absolutely amazing! My daughter & SIL felt so comfortable, and loved the scenery so much so they didn’t want to leave. I had the opportunity to drive them to the AIRBnB following their reception and was able to take a very special picture of them in front of the wood fireplace. I strongly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to recharge & reconnect with nature, absolutely stunning!

    Jennifer2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful winter weekend getaway at The Little House. It’s a gem in the heart of Virginia wine country near a lot of quaint historic towns for exploring, shopping and dining. There are also plenty of outdoor activities for all seasons - hiking, horseback riding, tubing, etc.. It was great to come back to a cozy place after a full day of horseback riding, wineries and exploring and relax by the wood-burning fire. Since it’s located on a farm, it’s surrounded by meadows, cows, horses and chickens - very picturesque. It was a pleasure having Ruth and Max as hosts and we hope to go back again sometime. We couldn’t have had a better time as it was the perfect Valentines Day weekend getaway.

    Pam2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cute room, very comfortable bed, nice big fireplace, no complaints!

    Jon2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Little House was a perfect little weekend stay in the cutest town, perched on a beautiful piece of country. The room was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable, and all of the amenities were thoughtfully set out for us. We will definitely be back in Berryville; the Little House has become a destination!

    Elizabeth2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth and Max’s little house is a delight. The decor is timeless, the linens are high quality, the space very clean and bed extremely comfortable. And the setting is special. Very private with pastoral views. Easy access to Berryville, and VA 7. Don’t expect a kitchen because there isn’t one, but there is a mini fridge and coffee service. Suited my needs well. Highly recommend.

    Brent & Diana2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth’s place was wonderful. The farm is scenic and quiet making it a perfect place to stay to visit near by harpers ferry.

  • This cozy cabin was the perfect getaway! Wish we would have been able to stay a few more nights. Great location with amazing views of the rolling valley terrain and incredibly warm and sweat hospitality from Jean! The cabin was warm and inviting and actually quite spacious. Will return!

    Joseph2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is conveniently located just 5 mins from town. It is quiet and comfortable and warm- and my goodness, we had a frigid weekend! The kitchen is just 20 steps from where you stay and know that you go there for your morning coffee. We hung out in the kitchen for dinner and chatting by the fireplace. H makes a great fire! We enjoyed hearing about the history of the cabin, some family history, stories about the art, and meeting the outdoor kitties. Jean and H are lovely hosts!

Jean and H were fantastic hosts that were easy to communicate with, super helpful and local experts with tips on places to go hiking, eat etc. Their property has so much character and charm. • The perfect getaway! Just go! Go for a night, a few nights, a week, more, just go! Super cozy, clean, the kitchen (oh the kitchen...if you are remotely interested in cooking, stock up on groceries and cook in this fabulous space for a long meal with friends & wine!); the cabin is so charming, stocked with travel stories and everything you need; the entire experience is all about coziness, conversation, books, relaxation and the much needed reset from a busy life. Jean is such a lovely person, amazing host, seamless communication & went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Thanks so much Jean for a memorable time.

  • This house is beautiful, and located right in downtown Berryville. My entire family enjoyed this home. Pictures don’t do it justice! We will be back.

    Megan2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriends and I recently enjoyed a weekend at Megan's place. The description is accurate and we found it to be quite comfortable and clean. One of the things that I find important in a rental is cozy furniture that allows for hanging out after a day of exploring. This rental offers two different common areas to do that in as well as comfortable beds. Another plus is the abundance of towels offered. Megan is a pleasure to work with; quick to respond to questions and offer local recommendations. She also allowed us to extend our check out time without any hassle. I would highly recommend Megan's home if you're looking in the area. The only other thing you should know is that Berryville is extremely small so you likely won't be spending much time there, though there are plenty of towns and wineries within a short drive so it's a good base camp.

  • Had a relaxing visit. The views are breath taking and we loved how the space was styled. We had several fires in the well equipped and large fireplace and soaked in the glorious sounds of silence absent of TV, kids and dogs.

  • My husband and I returned to this magical retreat to celebrate our one year anniversary. It was everything that we remembered and more. There are not enough words to describe how relaxing it is to unplug and sit by the amazing fireplace. We also had a fabulous time at the Ashby Inn and Delaplane Cellars. We will certainly be back to visit again in the future!

  • We really loved our stay here, it was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet with lots of thoughtful touches (like books, games, and movies neatly laid out). The grounds are very pretty as well, and there are lots of great restaurants, breweries, and wineries nearby. We also greatly appreciated being able to bring both of our dogs with us, and hope to return someday!

    Kristy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very cool. We had a great time with breweries and wineries in the area and this place had a great location for that. Loved the space, very comfortable for a couple. Loved the wood burning stove. Teri was a huge help with some recommendations so I could make sure my husband’s bday was special. We’ll return to explore the grounds more; it was too cold for us to want to walk around much. Looks like lovely places to stroll right on the property. Great place.

    Kate2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • The Cottage is so darling and perfect! Completely updated and it is sparkling clean so everything looks brand new. Christine had lightning-fast response times with helpful recommendations about the area. We were a group of two couples and enjoyed our downtime at the cottage while touring around the beautiful Bluemont area enjoying wineries and delicious food. Highly recommend.

  • A very cozy cottage surrounded by a horse farm and vineyards. Sounds too good to be true, yet here it is in Northern Virginia wine country. The place was very clean and comfortable. The interior decor is rustic farmhouse but with a modern flair. Christine was an excellent host who made our stay easy and enjoyable. She gave us helpful tips about dining and site seeing. We would definitely return.

  • We absolutely LOVED this place. My mom, sister, friend, and I had an amazing girls weekend! The cottage was perfect for the four of us. We felt so comfortable and the place was sparkling clean. Christine even left us a new deck of cards, after we’d asked if the cottage had one. Extra little touches like this make her a fabulous host and the place was just wonderful. We also had everything else we needed - kitchen was fully stocked and everything felt clean and ready to use! Thanks for everything, Christine!

    Becca2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's cottage at Red Gate Farm is absolutely perfect! The place is super clean, comfortable, cozy and in a dream-like location. The grounds are gorgeous and very peaceful. My family and I stayed there for a wedding in the area and couldn't have asked for a better choice. Christine was easily accessible and responded immediately to any questions. She also offered great tips for places around the area. I will definitely be back to this beautiful place!

    Great decor
Across the street from restaurant, grocery store and wine tasting room
  • Definitely recommend staying here. Extremely clean and really comfortable weekend away. Right by a couple cute places (pub, general store), the house is relaxing and quiet and perfect. The backyard with a fence was great for our high energy dog to run around in. Would definitely stay again.

  • House was charming, exactly what we were looking for. Great location, Jennifer's list of recommended restaurants, places of interest in the area, hiking information were over the top!

    Lynne2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Jennifer's home! The house is adorable and in the perfect location to access restaurants, wineries, and Salamander (if you're a spa person!). Fit 4 of us very comfortably, and the suggestion book they left was perfect. We would have taken a star off as we had a lot of power issues with outlets, which made using WiFi, the TV, and microwave difficult, but Jennifer and Frederico were incredibly responsive. They even planned to drive out to the home from DC to try to resolve the issue on Friday night during rush hour. We had overhead lights and heat, and assured them we were going to be fine; but the hospitality and offer kept our stay at 5 stars. Would love to stay at the home again!

  • Jennifer have some amazing recommendations that were so glad we listened to! We brought our 6 month old doodle and he loved the yard and being able to get come energy out. The tavern across the street is a must and there’s a new market that has such delicious food and goodies. We had a great time and the location we perfect!

    Kenzie2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's home is as cute as a button! The owners retreat is dreamy with its 2 walls of windows - we woke up to spectacular sunrises each morning. We also loved the daybed area and the fenced in back yard was perfect for our high energy dog! We loved the tavern across the street and walking trails behind the Episcopal church. We'd definitely stay again!

    Jennifer2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Jennifer’s cute Upperville house! It’s stylish and clean - was perfect for our weekend of hiking Sky Meadows and enjoying the restaurants of Middleburg. We have a small dog, and this house was perfect because it has a fenced yard and nice outdoor space with Adirondack chairs and a dining table. Jennifer was very responsive and helpful - she is definitely a Super Host and we hope to be back again soon!

  • Went for a weekend get away from DC. This little spot was so sweet and cozy, with all your basic needs. Barb warmly greeted us upon arrival, and kindly put her dogs in her house to make for a smooth arrival, as we have a dog who is a bit “bossy” with other dogs. The property is beautiful and we loved the horses, cows, peacock, and doggos. Would definitely stay again and/or recommend to others.

    Jordan2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place in Berryville. Close to many vineyards and breweries and an easy drive to Shenandoah National Park. Nice spot right on a farm. There's a small kitchen, clean bathroom, and cozy sitting area. The stairs upstairs are narrow but the room upstairs is spacious for two people (two twin beds). There's also an outside porch where you can sit and enjoy the farm. Barb was very responsive. Ubers and Lyfts are available in this area but may take time. Highly recommend Barb's cozy apartment!

  • Nice stay in a beautiful location. Easy to get to Berryville and Winchester for exploring.

    Amanda2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Super-clean, comfortable, and well appointed! I enjoyed two nights in a comfy bed and had the company of a pack of 5 very friendly dogs and one stand-offish peacock (all when knitting outside on the porch).

    Samantha2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for the opportunity to stay at your place Barb. It was a perfect location for us. On Sunday morning, we also enjoyed a nice breakfast at Jan's Diner in Berryville, just a short distance away. Thanks for your hospitality.

  • We were so happy for such a nice clean home. It was a great place to stay for many reasons. The location was perfect to the Shenandoah National Park and Harpers Ferry, and we explored other nearby towns. Barb was very friendly and welcoming to us. Her dogs and chickens were friendly to us too! She had 2 water bottles for us nice and cold in the fridge when we arrived. The towels and bedding were nice and comfy. It was so peaceful to sit on the deck in the morning and evening - watching the horses, deer, and peacock of the farm and later on in the evening we watch the stars. Everything is perfect as described in the listing and we will be back again to visit here. Thank you again for everything Barb - we feel rested and recharged staying at your place !!!

  • Wonderful!!! Simply put, one of the best AirBnB experiences we've ever had. We originally stayed with Teri over a year ago for a long weekend. We loved our stay. The cottage is cozy and beautifully appointed. The property is quiet (save the occasional rooster call) and lovely. This time, we found ourselves in need of a place for 6 weeks while our new home was being built. With a fully appointed kitchen, washer/dryer and working wood burning stove, it was the perfect place to spend the end of January and beginning of February. Their staff even plowed the driveway, shoveled the walk and salted the stairs when it snowed! We loved our stay! We're sure to return.

    James2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful and sparkling clean place! Teri was quick to communicate with any questions I had. We loved the coziness feel to home. There is so much thought into every detail. Beautiful views and loved the chickens out back. We will definitely be back!!

    Erin2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Teri's little cottage. The weather was cold, and though the cottage has great heat, the woodstove was a very warm and relaxing touch. We were there to take in the wineries and breweries that were very nearby, but there are many other things to do in the area. We would recommend Teri's to anyone desiring a clean, comfortable, and and quiet getaway.

    Michael2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful country getaway, this cottage provides a quiet and private place with all the necessities included. Bring food and they have a fully stocked kitchen available for cooking. There is also a big claw tub for your soaking pleasures!

    Kinsey2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This property will give you the best of what rural Virginia has to offer and it is particularly beautiful in the fall. High Meadows is well situated to put you in the middle of the heavily wooded highlands that mark the eastern edge of the Blue Ridge mountain area.

    Ralph2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a very peaceful family weekend in this home. The house itself was better than expected— sparking clean with updated amenities including a giant tub. We loved the proximity to the Appalachian Trail and local brewery. It is not totally private, which is somewhat obvious due to the nature of a guest house, but we enjoyed the solitude— especially the backyard with a view of the chicken coop, which is actually way more entertaining than I would have thought. I definitely recommend a stay here!

    Arin2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! Teri was great, she let us know about local places to visit and even showed us the inside of her bee colony! The cabin/guesthouse was wonderful, clean and beyond expectation. My fiance and our friends had a very relaxing getaway.

  • Very responsive and friendly host. They made sure we arrived ok on a very foggy night and left us some home baked treats in the kitchen.

  • I stayed here for a few days for work in the area, and this was more than satisfactory; the bed was warm and comfortable, the breakfast delicious and worth the stay on its own, the place quiet with no noise disturbances, the location surrounded by nature and out-of-the-way but easy to find and get in and out of with plenty of parking. Communication with the host was pleasant and quick, and the stay was overall quite positive.

  • I enjoyed my stay here. Susan met me at checkin and gave an intro tour. After that, I didn’t see anyone for the next three days, although I know she was available if needed. The view across the pool to the valley is very nice. The apartment met my needs as a business traveler and I may well stay there again in the future.

    Kenneth2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place is wonderful. You have a separate entrance, and access to the pool, which has a gorgeous view where you can see for miles and miles over the landscape.

  • We loved everything about this wonderful Airbnb! The amazing view, pool, large living space, full bathroom, kitchenette and shared laundry area. Susan is very sweet and greeted us upon arrival. My boyfriend and I felt immediately welcome and comfortable. There was an extra room and bed, too. We were able to find Uber/Lyfts to get to the wineries within 20 minutes! It is a great location! I can’t imagine a more perfect and relaxing stay! Susan goes above and beyond!

Renovated 1950's cottage style home. Enjoy a small house with a great front porch and large backyard with patio. Just minutes to drive and about 10-15 minutes to walk to Historic Old Town Winchester which includes numerous restaurants, bars, shopping, and often some kind of event like the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival! Our house is located about 65 miles West of Washington D.C. if you're looking for a day trip to the big city or just sit back and relax right here in our small town.
This home was my grandma's home so even with a fresh new look, it will always be special to me. I visited my grandma in this home for over thirty years and always admired the character of it. While renovating, it was so important to me to keep some of that original charm--from the custom-made cabinets to the original hardwood floors; It's all there just spruced up a bit! This house is about 800 sq ft, perfect for 3 to 4 people but can sleep 6 with the queen sleeper sofa. A pack and play crib is available as well.
For the most part, the neighborhood is quiet for being in the city but there is an elementary school across the street and a fire dept near by. Please be mindful of our neighbors on both sides of the house. No loud music please.
  • Lovely house!

We immediately felt cozy and were able to relax after arriving from a long drive to Winchester. The house is perfectly located for getting to stores and restaurants. Crystal responded quickly to messages and reached out to make sure our stay was going well. Highly recommend this home for your stay in Winchester!

  • This was the second time I stayed at Melissa’s inn and it was just as amazing as I remember. The inn is located on her property, across from her horse pen where two beautiful horses spend their time (and you can feed them some treats!), and there’s a jacuzzi on her house’s back porch that’s open to you for use. It is a really nice amenity to have after a long day of drinking wine or beer, as the inn is right in the middle of wine country. If you spend a day or two here, definitely visit Bluemont and Twin Oaks, both literally around the corner, or Dirt Farm brewery, located on the same hill as Bluemont. Check out High Hill marketplace for some local food, another winery, and an art exhibit, and if you’re into BBQ, visit Monk’s in a nearby town. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area and want to make a weekend of it or have a few days to spend. Melissa is a literal superhost, she’s very responsive and accommodating to your needs, she can give you tips and insider info on things to do, and she brings you some delicious light fare for breakfast if you want it (her freshly baked apple muffins are exactly what I need in the morning). Definitely give Melissa’s place a visit if you are looking to visit the area and want a unique bnb experience!

    Abraham2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of my favorite Airbnb experiences. Loved all the details of the cottage. I particularly loved the homemade kombucha, kombucha growing tips, and a complimentary bacteria culture (scoby) to start my own homemade kombucha at home! Melissa also brought some muffins for us to enjoy during breakfast. Place was great and I completely agree with all the other great reviews from previous guests. Will book again in the future!

    Aki2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay at the Cabin. Melissa kindly baked me a wonderful treat my first morning and also brought fresh eggs. I was also given some carrot snacks to feed the horses. Melissa was incredibly warm and welcoming, providing tips for things to do and responding to my messages quickly. I loved all the thoughtful touches in the cabin that made my time relaxing and cozy, such as the board games, the stocked kitchen, excellent coffee and wines... The homemade kombucha was excellent as well! I hope to come back!

  • Melissa and Scott were amazing hosts and this cabin is a perfect, cozy retreat. The cabin is sparkling clean and everything is so thoughtfully labeled (like the light switches, remote controls, etc.). All of the furniture is comfortable and the kitchenette is just the right size for simple meals. The location is easy to find and so close to all the wineries, breweries, hiking trails, etc. The hosts communicate efficiently and respond to all requests with a smile. We will definitely be staying here again.

  • Fantastic place! The location is incredible, matched only by the warmth and hospitality.

    Elyse2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • When we first drove up, I was a little worried about being able to hear traffic from the nearby throughfare...but instead we enjoyed the sound of the rippling of the mountain wind through the trees, never hearing the road at all, while thoroughly enjoying the animals, the land, and the entirely whimsical and comfortable cottage...my 16-year-old loved it too...I slept on the couch, which was perfectly cozy and comfortable...

    Debor2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a love getaway for 2 this is the perfect place! The cottage is a perfect size and so cozy! Breakfast from Melissa was so delicious! Catherine was very responsive and accommodating, and checking in and out was a breeze thanks to her clear instructions. We also loved that she is so welcoming to four-legged friends! • Catherine's place was the perfect spot for us to unwind after spending a few days at nearby Charlestown and Harpers Ferry. The property is very clean and has great amenities including a large walk in shower. The pool table, air hockey, and numerous board games kept my girls occupied while my wife and I enjoyed sunset views of the Shenandoah River over a glass of wine. We did have some questions arise during our stay which Catherine promptly answered, usually within a few minutes. Her suggestions on local attractions and restaurants were very much appreciated. We especially enjoyed Beans in the Belfry. A very cool coffee shop inside a converted church. If you are looking for a place to stay near Charlestown don't hesitate to book the Coorie Inn!

  • Catherine and Ian were amazingly hospitable and we had such a great time. The view is amazing and the shower is to die for! It was New Years and they added a bottle of Sparkling Cider in the fridge. They were also fun to hang out with during a bonfire that they build. They do have dogs, so expect so romping around upstairs but it is really not a big deal.

  • Catherine’s place is a hidden gem in the wonderful mountains of WV. Not too far from major towns but far enough to feel like a true getaway. The view of the river is stunning, as well as the amenities provided. There is so much to do without even leaving the property. Air hockey, pool table, a shower to die for, and even a trail down to the river. We visited on a chilly December weekend, so the space heater provided was SO helpful in staying warm and cozy. There are two bedrooms to choose from, both with the most adorable touches. Catherine mentioned that she was doing some remodeling, but the place was already so nice. I can’t wait to visit again and see the final product!

  • The place is right by the river. It’s very nice and peaceful. The hosts are very nice. Place was clean. Although there is no kitchen or even a sink except a tiny bathroom sink. So washing pots was a real problem. But the stay was very relaxing overall.

  • Great experience. Extremely responsive and great hosts.

  • Corrie Inn is a fantastic place to stay! You’re surrounded by nature and secluded yet so close to the casino and Harpers Ferry. The fire pit is perfect for a relaxing night under the stars and the accommodations were great. We will definitely be staying here again!!

  • This is such a lovely spot! We have family nearby so the location was perfect but I could see this also being great for a country getaway for anyone. The space is not only functional and has pretty much everything you’d need, but it is also so amazingly decorated. On top of all that, it is pet friendly and allowed for us to bring our furry friend along on our travels. I’ll definitely be returning!

  • Really fun and curated space attached to ( but separate unless you rent all rooms) an amazing old house. Very cozy, has everything you need including games and plenty of blankets/linens. Super clean. Great outdoor space to wander.

    Renee2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Outpost was a great getaway spot. Had everything we needed, plus some added touches that made it a really fun experience!!!! We are likely booking again next year 😀

    Aaron2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I rented out all 3 of the Outpost properties and could not recommend it more. It was the perfect space for a group and the most stylish airbnb I have ever stayed in. There are a ton of wonderful ameneties, including Sonos throughout the home, tons of activities to do (bikes, archery, pool table, etc.) and anything else we could have possibly needed.

  • This suite & home were beautiful & amazing! Lots of lovely decorations, beautiful views & deck, & great bathrooms & amenities in quaint, nostalgic & historical downtown Berryville! Loved it!

  • This place is a hidden gem! It's tucked away in a small town called Berryville (very cute antique stores, coffee shops, and small local businesses). It's in the middle of many many vineyards. You can enjoy the house amenities like grill, lounge chair (perfect to check out shooting stars!), and bicycles. One recommendation is to bring ear plugs. This suite is connected to the main house. If the main house is occupied by other guests, you can hear the conversation from their kitchen/game room. It's not loud, but I personally slept with earplugs in. Or I recommend renting out the entire space. It's that good! I'll be back for sure!

    Cindy2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely adorable property in a cute, small town. I stayed here with two other guests for a girls winery weekend trip and it was delightful. Loved that I could bring my pup and the guests staying in the main house also had a dog so they had a great time running around in the backyard together. The patio is the best part. We used the grill to cook dinner and enjoyed (many!) glasses of wine out there. It was perfect. There’s really no sound barrier between the guest suite and main house if that kind of thing bothers you, it doesn’t for us. Have already recommended to friends and will be coming back. Thanks Leah!!

  • Family had a great weekend getaway at Joel's place. It was clean and the location was perfect. The kids did not want to leave.

    Willie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, 3 kids and I spent a couple of days in Joel's place and we loved it. It is a really nice house, located in a peaceful place. It is right off the high-way, but it is very quiet. You won't hear any noise. It is close enough to supermarkets, restaurants, etc., but far enough that it you feel like immerse in the nature. The closest Appalachian trail is just 3 minutes driving. The house was super clean and very spacious. Joel was also a super-nice in accommodating a few of our requests due to having 3 young kids (14 months, 3 years and 6 years). I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking to spend a few peaceful and relaxing days away from the craziness of the city life :-)

  • This suite worked perfect for us to add to our reservation of the whole house, but it also was equipped to rent on its own (coffee, private door, etc.) It was comfortably and beautifully decorated, with a great large bathroom.

  • Peaceful, easy feeling is the mantra in Berryville, Virginia. Leah's Place is all that and more. This lovely, dog friendly space made us feel right at home from the moment we checked in to our historical, themed room. The decor was the first thoughtful vibe we got from the spacious, air conditioned bedroom. The bathroom housed double, fee-standing sinks, a retro tub and a fabulous shower spiced with organic soaps and candles. My dog loved the landscape and was fascinated by the sounds of the country. The crickets and frogs caused him to cock his head with curiosity and delight. The bed was an amazing cuddle pond that invited us to stay there just a little bit longer than usual. Leah's Place is on its way to becoming a five star getaway.

  • Very stylish stay. Cute house in a quiet town. We did hiking & brewery hopping in the area. The central AC & fluffy bed were luxurious! Close to lots of cute spots.

    Holly2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Phenomenal accommodations. On the level of a 5-star hotel. Take my word for it, stay no where else!

    Douglas2019-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Leah’s space is a total charmer. Clean, modern decor and finishes make the space feel very upscale, but the price is very reasonable. The room opens up to a fabulous deck with string lights and plenty of seating - a great place to hang out. Leah has also filled the space with thoughtful touches that make you feel like you’re at home. The BnB is close to downtown, and there are lots of bikes available on-site to ride into town. I highly recommend Leah’s place and would love to stay there again!

    Alex2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was so incredibly, beautifully designed and decorated. We loved every second- sitting on the porch with a beer watching the fireflies, enjoying the beautiful views around the area, and driving into the cute areas of the surrounding towns. you will LOVE your stay!
