Great location! I stayed in the king bed, room #1. The bed was not soft, but i cant complain for the price. A few ants crawled around, but never bothered me. Drinking water is a huge plus. Thanks for a great stay. Also, the scooter shop across the street is highly recommended. The woman there runs an honest business at great rates. Keep in mind that the bike is not insured when you take it. My mirror was knocked off while it was parked on the side of the road. I paid just 100 baht to replace it. Very fair. I also reccomend the coffee spot accross the street. Homey, and tasty. Not super cheap, but the cool styling has a price. All in all, a great spot for the price. I cannot complain, and would probably stay again.

Awesome location to explore the old town, the room was basic but it was all that we needed. There's motorbike rental place a minute walk from the place that was really excellent and affordable ran by a lady named Bobby which made the trip for us.

Pictures are just a bit misleading. Great, fast communication. Our room was just smaller than I had anticipated and the bed a bit stiff, but it was still a great stay and great location for getting around Chiang Mai. Bathroom was not was I was expecting but worked just fine.

This place is really nice. It's location is just inside of the old city, so it would be convince by for tourist to go spots nearby. And Jitsingh and his family were really nice, their sons are adorable:) If I'll go back to Chaing Mai I'll stay at this place again.

Our host was hospitable. However, there's something you need to rectified to improve security! The front gate is locked from the outside when we are going out and locked from inside when we are indoor. When some of us go out, the other at home will be locked in. Its too dangerous when there's a fire! Add some hooks in the bathrooms.

This is my first airbnb experience. It's really smooth and fantastic experience from the moment I booked the stay till I left the premise. Han & Jiw are both extremely helpful and friendly. They provide us with very easy to use map and guide, it help us to plan our journey. Location of their home is excellent, within walking distance to old city moat, Saturday/Sunday night market.

We had such a wonderful time staying at Han and Jiw's place and they went out of their way to make our honeymoon very special. Jiw picked us up from the airport and is possibly the most adorable person on the planet. She walked us thru the map of Chiang Mai and gave us great recommendations. She also connected us with a very knowledgeable driver. And she sent us off with some souvenirs - so sweet. The place is very centrally located and comfortable. No issues with noise, great internet, AC in the bedrooms, and very clean. Our stay in Chiang Mai was the highlight of our trip. I highly recommend this place.

What a fantastic place for our week in Chiang Mai!! It was close to the old city and a short walk to street food, restaurants, markets, laundry and convenience stores. Jiw was a wonderful host picking us up and dropping us off at the airport. Jiw was also able to connect us with some drivers to take us on some day trips outside of the city. There were six in our family and with the addition of a blow up bed everyone slept well.

We absolutely loved our stay at this little air bnb! The garden entry is magical, the owner is so sweet and helpful, and it's the perfect location for walking to night markets, coffee shops, restaurants in old city! I would 100 percent recommend this place!

Very quiet little courtyard, lush, breath of life, although the facility is not very high but you can see the landlord's mind. The landlord was very good, although not much, but to help us communicate a lot. Luckily in Chiang Mai last encountered such a perfect cottage day.

Mod's place is great value for money. The house is the perfect size for a family of four and is in a great location to walk to all the markets. Mod and her daughters were incredibly helpful and friendly, helping us book tours, find restaurants, printing some documents, and allowed us to fill our water bottles daily for free at their nearby hostel. We forgot our e-reader device at the house and didn't realize until 30 minutes before our flight and Mod generously brought it to us at the airport. We had a wonderful experience at the house and in the lovely garden.

A very pleasant host who did everything to make our lives easier, she picked us up by car because we could not find our way. The accommodation is lovely, especially the small garden terrace. The only flaws, the mattresses are really uncomfortable and there is no hot water. However the location is perfect

We arrived early from our overnight Bangkok train to Chiang Mai and they were kind enough to let us check in early as we were exhausted and needed showers. The place was very impressive - spacious, clean, good natural light from the windows. We stayed in two separate rooms, one with a shared bathroom on the second floor and one with a private bathroom/toilet on the first floor. On our last day they were able to arrange a super early morning taxi ride for us to the airport. Very helpful and kind host.

Andy and Dee's place is incredible. It is so beautiful, clean, and centrally located in the square of Chiang Mai. We had a great time staying here and felt so welcomed and at home from our hosts. You will get exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Their home is located on a beautiful street and is within walking distance to many great eateries, shops, etc. If we were to visit Chiang Mai again this is where we would stay!

Andy's place is great. Very clean and in the most convenient place. Close to everything but on a quiet alley. The bed is comfortable and the sitting area downstairs is very nice. We would definitely stay there again.

Andy was an excellent host. He and his wife Dee were very helpful and friendly. Their house is very cozy and beautiful. It is located perfectly in a quiet street in the middle of the old town. We could go by walk to nearly all of the hotspots in Chiang Mai. We really enjoyed our stay!

Newly renovated house is very beautiful, but close from the airport entrance road there for our whole family together in this atmosphere, and the next day arrived late and chartered to Chiang Rai needs. Boss additional help given pick, and managers connected together to provide a simple breakfast, very polite.

Upon check-in, Airbnb address is wrong. After contacting the landlord, after a very cumbersome process just to get the correct address. After check-in process is very pleasant. A little bit far away from the city, we recommend car rental.

Farm story's location is really good, go bar7 minutes, to tappeh door five minutes, go to the temple massage two minutes, one minute to do the laundry, go to Sunday market 1 minutes to go, what trick? And their delicious food, health, the price is almost, but very good value with Taiwan and will not be disappointed! The room was clean, no air conditioning, but I live in a very hot ㄧ floor, a fan on ok ~ house owner is ㄧ couple, ㄧ entire freestyle, it is the atmosphere, people feel at home. I initially booked for 5 nights but stayed the second night I told Ben (hostess) said that I do not want move, I want to stay here all my vacation. So I spent 11 days this play, ha ha, super cool! I love Chiang Mai. I met friends here and we had a lot CUTE memories. You must be come Farm Story.

Spending time at Farm Story House was really nice, I'll definitely come back next time ! A little hard to find at first, but once you've notice it's just a little further past Tha Phae Gate it's really easy to find its way ;) Benyapa & Jeng's family and employee are really nice, helping and friendly people, they will make your stay wonderful ! This has been the most intimate Airbnb experience for me so far. I absolutely loved my interactions with Ben and Jake and their very warm staff. Ben and Jake treated us like family. The room was just as described and in an amazing location, close to all main points of interest in the old city. The food at their cafe was beautifully home made and great value for money. The highlights of the stay for me included learning to make soap, seeing Jake spend hours in roasting coffee beans and a trip to the local market to do some food shopping with Ben! Jake would painstakingly make hand drip coffee everyday, spending minutes for a single cup of coffee! No wonder this was one of the best coffees I have had in my life. Overall, I couldn't have asked for more for the price I paid!

Great location with a cozy cafe. Benyapa and her team are very friendly and helpful. They serve wonderful meals with their home grown organic rice. And I enjoy their organic coffee too. Some of the best hidden cafe and independent stores are just around the corner. Excellent to travel slow to discover the beauty of the surroundings.

What to add from previous unanimous comments...the place is far better from what we have imagined and I was more than positive at looking at the photos from the website. The atmosphere in this house, plus the garden at 2 minutes from the old city...just amazing and peaceful. Yes we can hear the dogs, cats and birds...but we loved it. And Mo was just so nice with us from the first second to the end. All the family agreed on one point : that was our best experience with airbnb ever. Please take the cooking lessons and the Thai breakfast...something you shouldn't miss.

Mo was a wonderful host. She was a great communicator. We took the overnight train from Bangkok and Mo was waiting for us at the station to take us to the place. Since, it was too early to check in, Mo took us to this wonderful breakfast restaurant. She kept our luggage till later in the day when we could check in. She was in constant contact with us if we had any questions about where to eat and what to see. By far the best host we had and the place is just too cute for words.

This house is absolutely magical! My 3 friends and I could not have asked for a better stay here. Mo is a wonderful host and had a fantastic breakfast prepared for us every morning. The house is also in a great location, within a 5 minute walk to the Chiang Mai gate (which has a night market every night with some amazing food) and the old city. With a doubt, our stay at Baan Sri Dha was the best AirBnB experience we've ever had!

Mo's place was great. I will give tips based on my preference, but I have nothing bad to say about Mo's property or my experience with her. My only tips are that it is VERY HOT and humid in Chiang Mai. The house has room AC units which are fantastic at night, but I was unable to spend any time at the property because I just couldn't handle being outside during the day and the house is all outside. I was warned a head of time so I was not surprised, but I did not know I would not be able to handle the heat. Just keep that in mind when booking this facility. Mo's house keeper's provided breakfast every morning which was fantastic and if it wasn't for the heat, I would go back :)

If you're looking for a place to stay in Chiang Mai, this HAS to be it. The house is located in the center of the city which makes it very easy to access everything. The property is very spacious, looks just like the pictures, and is kept very clean. However the best part has to be Mo. Mo goes above and beyond for her guests to make sure they have a pleasing experience. It was very easy to communicate with her as she was very responsive over phone and she speaks fluent English. Coming with my family, my parents were hesitant at first to use Airbnb instead of booking a hotel. But Mo's hospitality quickly made their stay in Chiang Mai the highlight of the trip. She offered them tea when they weren't feeling well, arranged a Tuk Tuk driver to tour them around the city, and even went to the markets with them. We let her know that we were vegetarians ahead of time and she even made us a special breakfast. Being around her made us realize what a wonderful person she is and it allows me to confidently say that she will replicate that experience for future guests. Finally, the cost of staying is incredibly low compared to what you're getting for it which makes it a great value deal. If I am ever back in Chiang Mai, I would definitely book this place again.

Pim's place is in a bar street, it's lively and Pim also recommended a very nice massage near her place. But because the place is in bar street, it's a noisy in the midnight.

The air conditioner is located above the bed and the condensation drips on your face at night. The room is above a noisy bar and hard to sleep. The power went out and the shower stopped working. All this is excusable but what's not is that the door to the room is no more secure than a public restroom stall door and someone tried breaking in this place while we were sleeping and it was terrifying. We awoke to the door being pushed against aggressively and were panicked as we listened to someone try to open the door I know would be easy for them to get through. I yelled aggressively and scared away the intruder

The apartment was well located for the city shops and restaurants. We enjoyed staying there and everyone was on hand to assist.

A great central location and oddly quiet for being over a pool bar. I would recommend for anyone who is 100% ok with super basic... bring what you need koffee/tea wise, no one in the neighborhood opens til at least 8am :).

In the attic room, slightly smaller but has a separate toilet. Wooden floors. Because it is on the top floor so at noon when the heat would have some good air conditioning. Bar downstairs at night in a row, but not very noisy because of the bar but we did not put sit and drink and chat with loud music. Bamboo massage parlors next to the great, the boss is also very good very good things gave us rice wrapped in bamboo leaves and taro dumplings similar.

Raksakuls 'Hidden Garden Home' was a perfect start of Chiang Mai for us. When you arrive in a new country there are so many questions. It was very helpful to know somebody who has lived in this country for so many years. The Hidden Garden Home is located in the old city of Chiang Mai. The beautiful garden outside of the room let you guess that you are not in the old city but you are. It's very calm even in the night. Every morning we got delicious breakfast. When Raksakul came back from his work, he brought along a gift for us (e.g. a typical thai dessert). Every time when we didn't know a place where we can buy a sim card or shoes, Raksakul knew the places. It was a big pleasure for us to stay with Raksakul and his lovely family. Our vacation in Chiang Mai has been made so much easier and comfortable through the kindness and helpfulness of Raksakul. Thank you for treating us more like a friend than a guest :)

Simply put, the best in Chiang Mai! we loved Raksakul and his whole family, everyone was kind, fun, and warm. He cooks amazing food, be prepared to have delicious breakfasts and baked goods. The location is very good, close to the Tha Pae Gate and easy to go to the night markets and the Old town. Hosts are very nice and helpful. they dedicated a lot into the details of the room. But the room is still smaller than i expected and the wifi is not fast enough. After all, it's a good experience.

Very cozy and quiet, nice place to stay! One thing needed mention was the unstable wifi-signal, my room was at the corner on the 4th floor, my friend and I can't get connected to the wifi during our stay so if anyone needs to use the internet, make sure you check with the owner about the wifi beforehand. Breakfast is included and is pretty good! Pharmacy, ATMs, market, restaurants, McDonald, Starbucks all within 2-3 minutes walking distance! Recommend!

Very nice place with fairly ideal location if you're there for the City life. The rooms are clean and styled in a modern touch. Great terrazzo floors throughout the common areas. I would absolutely stay here again.

The property was far better than our expectation. We are a group of 9 people from 4 families. This modern house has four spacious bedrooms with large and comfortable beds. And they are all clean and tidy. There are 2 balconies with great view of the largest temple, and we can even see squirrels on the trees. The location is in the heart of old city, close to local food market and super close to Sunday night market. There are plenty of Tuk Tuks and red taxis within 2 minutes walk. Surprisingly, the neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful at night. The kitchen is well equipped, we have some great dinners cooked by our own around the large dinning table. There are 4 bathrooms which is great for ladies. Nui is so nice and pretty. She provides many surprises in the house and helps us with almost every trouble we had. We're so fortunate to spend one week in Nui's house and we definitely will recommend any group or family to stay in this property.

Nui is a great host. She took every initiative to make sure we are comfortable in the house which is new and well kept. She arranged our day trips with a well mannered, reliable driver with his new and spacious minivan. Knowing that the vendors do not speak English at the Wororot market, she volunteered to accompany us there. Thank you, Nui.

A modern building in the city center, atmosphere, beautiful, very suitable for leisure. Our stay in Jet Lin Villa was amazing!We visited in a family of 7 adults and 2 young children and the location couldn't be better. It was so convenient to get to the morning and night markets and to all the places with good food and massage parlours - all within walking distance! And there is an extremely big night market on Friday which goes on and on FOREVER which is just right around the corner. Tuk tuks and songthaews are very easily available along the main road outside the villa if you need transport to other parts of the city. Tim and Nui are such a lovely couple and they have been so helpful to us. Their villa is so beautifully and tastefully done. Our family really loved the home and we were quite bummed to leave on the last day. We would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a cosy and homely place for your family to spent quality time and a memorable vacation. 2 thumbs up!

Nui was a fantastic host and made our family feel very welcome from the time she picked us up at the airport to when we left. Outstanding...except for the "NOISE" level. You can hear what's going on in the hallway or the room next to yours. If you want to sleep in in the morning, good luck because you'll hear all the guests neighbouring slamming their doors.

This is my first time in Chiang Mai and I'm glad that I chose this place. The room is very nice, clean and comfortable. Different to many listing on Airbnb (that you have to clean and make up the bed on your own), your room will be cleaned everyday. The house is close to the Thapae gate and the old city, you can walk to most of the attractions in town. You can also rent scooter to visit National Park (which I highly recommend). Arond the house, you will find a lot of cafe, restaurant and 7/11. Compared to what you have to pay, this place is a great value (in term of location, service, etc.) Nong and his family are very nice. The helped me to rent scooter, guided me how to get around the town and always welcome guests with smile. I'd recommend anyone visiting Chiang Mai to stay here if you want to visit old city. This place worths a 5 stars n my opinion.

I loved my stay at The Ghee House! Varoon and his family were amazing hosts, very welcoming and always making sure I had what I needed and answered all my questions. The free drinking water and coffee was a plus. The air-con in the room worked really well and super fast. The place is very clean, I always saw someone cleaning. I wanted to go to a spa the first day and Varoon's aunt called to make an appointment for me and even drove me there herself to make sure I found it. Varoon helped me print out my boarding pass on the last day too! The location is just outside the old city walls, walking to Tha Phae gate was easy but walking to the other gates can be a little far. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a more quite location/guesthouse. I would definitely recommend The Ghee House for the hospitality alone!

Please do not hesitate to book with Nong and his wonderful family. They treated me like family and I could not have asked for more. Communication with Nong was very easy since he was so quick to answer, which made booking his listing very simple. Upon check in, I was greeted by his mother and aunt who were so incredibly nice and helpful! The room is exactly like the photo and so clean and roomy for a single traveler. The bathrooms were modern and very clean as well which was amazing for a shared space. Another perk is that they do offer to clean your room everyday which offers you clean towels and a water bottle, which was a surprisingly nice perk you can't even ask for in a hotel. The home is really close to Thapae Gate and the Night Bazaar, and all the other sights in Chiang Mai. Nong's aunt was so nice and helped me book the tours I wanted and Nong's mother made sure I was always satisfied. Seriously, if you want to be treated like a five-star. VIP, family guest at a clean and modern home please book with Nong and his wonderful family. Seriously, I can not have any more good words to say!

So glad I found this guesthouse. Brand new and modern cozy space, with a touch of Thai-style interior. Rooms are dorm-style so you're always bound to bump into some other travelers, and there are 2 shared bathrooms on each floor which are constantly kept clean. Varoon was super friendly and helpful 'til the end (thanks for helping me negotiate down the price for the airport taxi!) and his lovely co-hosts are the sweetest ladies around with the most contagious smiles. Nice outdoor patio areas with good views, and nothing beats the central location with the short walk to Thapae gate/Old City. Will be sure to stay here again. :)

The Ghee House was the perfect place for my stay in Chiang Mai. Varoon and his family were wonderful hosts and made my trip to Chiang Mai. Varoon helped me find great restaurants, rent a motorbike, arranged transportation to the airport, and even directed me to his local barber for a haircut while I was there! I traveled alone and it was nice to have such welcoming hosts to make me feel at home. The air conditioning and wifi were great - two essentials when traveling to Chiang Mai. I would absolutely recommend this host and guest house to anyone traveling to Chiang Mai. It was my favorite Airbnb experience so far.

Bert was such a kind host! He was very helpful with all my questions and when I was looking for info to get to doi Inthanon he even offered to drive me! I really appreciated his kindness. His place is very conveniently located too.

Bert's place was just like it was advertised. The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Bert's place is a very short walking distance to many restaurants and shops and a market too. There are plenty of taxis near by or you can rent a motorbike. Bert was a perfect host to me. He ordered a taxi for me each time I needed one. He answered all my question and he kept the line of communication open every day in case I needed some advice or assistance with something. I felt like I was at home. I would definitely stay at his place again when I go back to Thailand.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay with Bert and his family. The house is centrally located in the old quarter, and the room was very comfortable and clean. Bert was also kind enough to show us how to get to an excellent pad thai spot! We are already hoping to visit Chiang Mai again soon.

I stayed around 5,5 weeks in Berts place and can definitely recomend it. Bert was very helpful even before I arrived and also during my stay. He and his wife speak very good English, what makes comunication easy and pleasant!

We had an amazing stay in Chiang Mai at Bert's house. The house is located in a perfect neighborhood. Everything is close by and easy to walk to. Restaurants, laundry, massage, cooking school: everything is within a few seconds / minutes of walk. We can even use free bikes to get around town. The room was clean. The A/C worked great (and this was a big + because it was hot). Bert's wife and son were extremely welcoming. They also gave us 2 bottles of water every day, as well as clean towels. Since Bert is also a travel agent, he was very helpful at making calls for us (we do not speak thai), so we were able to book great day trips. Bert even gave us a ride to the airport the morning of our departure. We would definitely stay here next time we come to Chiang Mai. We felt at home.

Bert, his family, and his home are the reason my boyfriend and I love Airbnb! Firstly, The house and room are immaculate. The room is very cozy with all the amenities you need. There is a washing machine close to the room too that we found very convenient. The location is amazing! We were in walking distance of many great restaurants and shops. Bert was so helpful and available in every way. The communication was perfect and we felt very welcomed. We even had dinner with Bert and his beautiful family on our last day there. I can't speak highly enough of our stay! Best Airbnb stay so far.
