Paddleboard is a cosy little cottage with loads of character. Remote location for families to escape. This is a perfect, peaceful location right on the Menai Strait. Whether you want watersports, a spot of fishing, a stroll with the dog along the shore or just relax with a good book. Located just 5 minutes away from the A55, Paddleboard is a perfect hub from which to explore the delights of Anglesey and Snowdonia. Moel y Don Cottage is also available here: https://airbnb.com/h/moelydon
Living Room is open plan upstairs with a simple well stocked kitchen: fridge with icebox, electric oven with gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle. Bedrooms are located downstairs and comprise of: 1 bedroom has a kingsize bed. 1 bedroom has two single beds. Bathroom is compact but has everything you need - shower over bath, sink, toilet, mirror and heated towel rail. The hot tub is available to rent at an extra cost of £35 for single use or £50 for the duration of your stay. We try our very best to be kind to our planet and have started by doing the following simple things: We were involved with the creation of the Plastic Free Anglesey campaign. We provide shampoo/conditioner/handsoap stored in refillable bottles and produced by a responsible local firm. The coffee/tea/sugar/treats are all fairtrade. Our laundry is all done by a local company, again using responsible methods. Power supplied to the house is sourced from renewables. We encourage all our guests to use our recycling facilities.
You can enjoy this tranquil haven and yet have buzz of Menai Bridge (renowned for great pubs and restaurants) Snowdonia National park and lots of golden sandy beaches within easy reach. Enjoy a sundowner on the decked terrace, or stroll down to the water's edge, enjoy the varied bird life, watch the tide ebb and flow or simply watch the fabulous sunsets bounce off the water. If you have a thirst for adventure then this area is an absolute must. Rib rides on the Straits (one of the best ways to see Anglesey by boat), surf in the mountains (really!), learn to kite board, go for a zip wire experience, do the tree top adventures, or visit the many National Trust houses - take your pick, it is all here and we can point you in the right direction. Hot tub rental available at £35/night or £50 for your stay.
  • Paddleboard Cottage is a little gem with wonderful hosts in Nicki & Tom (and family). The cottage is well appointed, clean and cosy and is itself a lovely historic wood beam building. There is a small garden with hot tub where you can soak up the afternoon sun (or rain!) and enjoy the views over the Menai Straight towards Snowdon; our 4yr old simply loved it and it gave us a really lovely family activity to do together at the end of a busy day exploring. Location wise it is great, 10 mins drive from Menai Bridge, so within easy reach of the castles and adventure activities on the mainland but nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of mainland too. The shoreline is 100m from the cottage and at low-tide a large sandbar provides a fab place to exercise the dog and enjoy the space, light and peace (and wind!). There is a lovely church just behind the cottage and coastal walks you can do from the cottage so you don't have to get in the car if you dont want to. 10 mins away is the charming Sea zoo and Foel Farm and Anglesea Salt factory. Whilst we did not have time to explore much of Anglesea we loved all three attractions and they provided a great (and not commercialised) activity to do with our 4yr old. Nice and gentle! Food was great, we ate at Dylans in Menai Bridge which does awesome seafood and the Erskine in Conwy (after a long which served an amazing Sunday roast. All-in-all the cottage, hosts, location and the area gave us 3 amazing days and I highly recommend it!

  • We loved our stay at paddleboard. The perfect cosy place for a getaway. This is our third trip to paddleboard and I'm sure we will be back again! Nicki is an excellent host. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay x

  • We loved Paddleboard Cottage. The perfect location to explore beautiful Anglesey. Despite a wild and wet weekend, we were cosy and warm in the cute and beautifully styled cottage and even a managed some time in the hot tub looking at the gorgeous view over the Menai Straight. Nicki was indeed a super host. Thanks very much.

  • Perfect location for exploring Anglesey.

  • We loved our stay at Nicki's place. The little house was very clean and well furnished. The beds in particular were very comfortable. Nicki was extremely helpful and welcoming, without being intrusive. The property is in a lovely location with easy access to most places on the island.

  • Lovely place and ideal for a family holiday with a dog. Very welcoming hosts :)

    Andrew2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Paddleboard Cottage. The cottage itself is great: well-equipped, comfortable and clean, and in a great location for exploring the area. Nicki was really welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were staying there during Storm Ciara and Nicki very kindly braved the elements to come and check we were ok and to see if we needed any supplies to see us through the weather! We would definitely recommend Nicki and Paddleboard Cottage to anyone looking to stay in the area, and are hoping to return ourselves very soon!

  • A wonderful escape into rural peace and quiet! The bed was super comfy, the wood burner kept the barn warm even in the midst of a storm; full of character and we were made to feel very welcome. You would be hard pushed to meet anyone else as warm hearted, with all the rescue animals around. We explored beaches and walked up near Snowdon. A very special place!

  • Great place! Gorgeous property! Excellent hospitality! Beautiful antiques in the space. You must love a friendly dog, cats and horses... we did! Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thanks again, David!

    Michael2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay! Perfect accommodations for our brief time in the area. The carriage house is lovingly restored and very comfortable. David is an incredibly gracious host. If he’s able to cook for you, highly recommend you take him up on the offer. The meal was amazing. Absolutely a very charming experience and recommend without hesitation.

    Christopher2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • David is a really friendly host, making extra effort to make sure we were comfortable despite very stormy weather e.g. making sure we had logs for the fire, keeping us stocked up with the basics and checking-in every so often to make sure we had everything we needed. We opted in for dinner on one of the nights and it was really lovely Would recommend for anyone looking to have a comfortable stay in Snowdonia, as the place is located perfectly for visiting mount Snowdon and the surrounding areas

    Becca2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A charming place with animals. No wifi. Remote and magical. Thank you.

  • Very pleasant couple and a lovely secluded, quiet barn off the beaten track. Will definitely be back.

  • We did not have the pleasure of meeting David, but Della was absolutely wonderful. She made us feel very welcome. The coach house is a stunning and peaceful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Della!

Tne caravan is situated in a lovely secluded paddock next to our house with views of the Snowdonia mountains and easy access to fantastic beaches and forests. Award winning restaurant just 3 minutes drive away. There is a shower unit which is shared use with our guests staying in the other caravan next door. They now have their own composting loo and so do you!
  • First, the caravan is the cutest and if you're looking for somewhere to stay a little different than your typical Airbnb, don't look any further. It was super clean and with all the equipment needed for a short stay. The little wood stove kept the place warm and the beds were really comfortable. Mike and Joanna are very nice guests and gave lots of local tips.

    Tymèle2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place is lovely. He was very helpful and answered any queries immediately. Despite the stormy weather, we were safe and warm in the caravan.

    Clare2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a amazing hidden gem. We had a amazing time here. Mike as host we couldn't fault, from lighting the fire so it was cosy and warm for our arrival to fresh milk and his own eggs too . If we could give 11 out of 10 we would. Would recommend 1000% and were already looking at our next visit

    Rob2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for my wife and two children

    Chris2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • There was always good communication from Mike from the moment of booking, he responded quickly to our questions. The accommodation was outstanding and the craftsmanship of Mike is very impressive. We arrived on the day of the worst storm Anglesey had seen for a long time. The place was clean and beautiful. There is everything you could possibly need to be more than comfortable. The fresh eggs from Mike's own chickens was a lovely touch. We had one minor problem which Mike fixed straight away. There was plenty of firewood for the log burner, which Mike replenished straight away on request. The storm howled for 24 hours (it was brilliant) but we were warm, very comfy and safe. Mike had done a wonderful job of the accommodation. His dogs are lovely too. A wonderful place and host. Can't wait to go back!

    Wendy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful hut, everything we needed and much more, perfect little getaway, the gypsy hut was spotless, so so snug and cozy. Mike was brilliant, great communication, provided everything we asked for, his home and animals are just beautiful. Thank you so much for an amazing night, we will certainly be back in the near future!

    Jessie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mike was super helpful and friendly! The Gypsy Hut was amazing! Really cosy and warm even though the weather was awful outside. It made it even cosier. Thanks again Mike for being a great host!

    Gemma2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay! Everything as described if not better! Excellent host good communication! Lit the fire just before we arrived which was a lovely touch! Couldn’t recommend enough!

We have just moved our bell tent to a more sheltered location on our front lawn. Fabulous view from the patio across our field to the rolling countryside beyond. Easy access to fantastic beaches and forests just ten minutes drive away. Award winning restaurant just 3 minutes drive away - in UK Top 40 places to eat. The tent now has it’s own private composting toilet and shower unit together with a kitchen sink and draining board.
The tent is well-equipped for your stay with a double bed though we have moved out the sofa bed and replaced it with an armchair. There is a log-burning stove and an electric blanket on the bed so you will be warm even in the winter! There is a cooking area with two-ring electric hob, kettle and fridge. The local pub is very friendly and does good food
  • We had a fantastic time here. The tent has so much attention to detail and everything that you would need. The hot shower is lovely! And the eggs and milk upon arrival were a lovely surprise. Thank you Mike!

    Anna2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in the Luna tent. Tent had everything you needed for a comfortable break. Fire kept the tent warm even in the winter. Mike was a friendly host and explained everything about the accommodation and local eateries. Would be a great place to stay in the summer as well when you could sit outside. Friendly family dogs.

    Paul2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place was one of the best places I stayed in during my UK tour. It has got everything one would need. It's a good place to explore Anglesey and it's very close to Snowdonia aswell. Mike is a very friendly host. The place has got Caravans aswell and hence a large group could book the place. Thank you for the hospitality Mike.

    Bharat2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay - really nice facilities and super location ! Would recommend :)

    Jess2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Everything from start to finish was great. Decided to have a night away very last minute, Mike was very responsive and helpful - putting a camp bed into the bell tent for our daughter. The tent itself was very spacious (even with an extra bed) we arrived and were given a brief but descript tour of the facilities, the fire was on, and it was all very cosy. My husband had concerns that it may of been cold, but it was the opposite - we found ourselves turning off the electric blanket during the night! We will definitely be returning later in the year when the nights are lighter so we can sit out and enjoy the view.

    Justine2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • You have to come here!! It was absolutely amazing, the views to wake up to in the morning are outstanding. Easily located off the road, close enough to multiple different attractions. Warm and cosy inside the teepee too, definitely recommend.

The Barn is situated in a stunning and idyllic location surrounded by nature, and yet within easy access to the Village and the start of the main Snowdon footpath. The Barn has been sensitively restored and maintains many of it's original features, including crog loft (upstairs sleeping area with limited head room, accessed via steep stairs) and exposed beam ceilings. The 7.5 acres of land are situated directly behind the barn. Close proximity to Zip World, Caernarfon, local beaches, and waterfalls
The Barn has been sensitively restored, and although it has a lot of it's original character, it is fully modernised with central heating and a modern, compact but fully functioning kitchen area. All towels and bed linen are provided. There is a mobile wireless internet at the property but sometimes the data allowance gets used up quite quickly - so I can’t guarantee that there will be WiFi durning your stay. However there is excellent 4G signal for most network providers There is also a selection of board games, books and lots of CDs to help keep you entertained :-))
  • A cosy and stylish barn conversion tucked away in the foothills below Snowdon. Great amenities (including a much needed bath!) and thoughtful touches like fresh coffee, toiletries and a hairdryer made our stay all the more comfortable. The wood burner and cosy mezzanine bedroom made for very relaxing evenings after a hard days hike!

    Eleanor And Rhys2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Such a quirky place, we loved it!! Great location to the Snowdon pathways and even better with a waterfall almost in the garden.

    Holly2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant place Serena is a great host, the cabin is in a great location and was given directions. Definitely want to visit again.

    Tom2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • I'd recommend arriving while it is still light as the approach road is a bit gnarly. You wouldn't manage it in a low profile sports car that's for sure! No problems in our 2012 Peugeot 3008 though. The accommodation is awesome, tucked away, cozy and warm with bags of character. Perfect place to start a hike in the hills and walking distance to Llanberis for food and drinks.

    Shaun2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was magical, a converted barn that felt like home. The space was full of thoughtful touches and comforting amenities. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay for longer. Would recommend to anyone!

    Kerry2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, clean, quirky, cute, warm and comfortable. A great place to stay!

    Clare2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Serena was such an accommodating host and replied to everything with such speed. The barn is in such an idyllic location and was really very magical. I only wish we stayed longer and that the weather was better. Would deffo recommended and stay again!

  • This place deserves a 5 star ++++ I came with my partner and my 4 month old baby called Enfys which is great as the cottage is called 'Ty Enfys'. Now my partner and I love using air BnB but this place is 100% the best we've been too! Rosie, Phil & Maddie are the perfect hosts, extremely kind, caring and friendly and always on hand of you need anything at all. I literally have nothing bad to say. Thank you again and hope to return soon X

    Lauren2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We visited for a Birthday retreat for my partner and we had an amazing time. We were greeted by a fire lit on the wood burner by Phil to welcome us away from Storm Jorge. This is a real find, we didn’t want to leave.

    Jack2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Just book it now. You’ll thank me later. Absolutely perfect!

    Tomas2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice weekend stay, the cottage was lovely and in a good location. Rosie & Phil were very accommodating and helpful to any questions we had and Phil even gave us a lift into town to save taxi fares. Only downside was the weather but there’s nothing you can do about that but the cottage was a lovely place to relax on a rainy day. Would definitely recommend.

    Dave2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing two nights and could have stayed forever, it was really cosey inside and I was obsessed with the wood burner (sorry Rosie if I used loads of wood & coal). The area is super peaceful and quiet so we slept amazing. On the 2nd day we drove to newborough where I’d fully recommend the walk over to the island when the tide is low we had a great day out at the beach. We would definitely recommend the sandy mount house in Rhosniger which was lovely and quite new? Lovely stay and we will be back soon!

    Daniel2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely cottage. Sparkling clean, cosy and homely! My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay. Great hosts, so helpful and friendly! Couldn’t have asked for any more. Thanks again!

    Hannah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a fantastic 3 night break at Rosies cottage and loved every minute. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable we didn’t want to leave! In fact we cancelled dinner reservations on both Friday and Saturday night so we could just stay in and make the most of it! Rosie and Phil are perfect hosts (helped by Bruce and Nipper of course!) and were always there when needed. Perfect location for long walks and simply relaxing. Lovely little pub 15 minute walk away as well. Amazing stay thank you again!

    Kieran2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is lovely place to stay in a beautiful location. It is cosy and peaceful. Phil and Rosie are great hosts and gave us lots of great advice about places to walk. They had lit a fire prior to us arriving so all we had to do was open the wine and relax!

My place is close to the beach, Caernarfon Castle (a World Heritage site) and the town itself. Snowdonia mountain range, Bedgellet and forest and so much more. You’ll love my place because of the beautiful surroundings and ease of access to many places to suit all tastes. There is an on-site pool open from May (Whit Weekend) to September. The pool has a full time lifeguard. My place is good for couples, walkers, sailors, solo adventurers, business travellers, families and pets.
Owl's Rest is homely, peaceful and a really relaxing place to stay. The park has a village atmosphere and an unusual lay out of slate wood and brick homes that are built facing a fishing lake. Owls Rest is one of the more spacious chalets on the site due to the careful thought that has gone into the open plan design. The decking area is substantial and is one of the closest to the water - this makes it feel as if you are floating above the lake which is wonderful when you are sitting on the decking. Another unusual feature is that the chalet gets the sun first thing in the morning and is there all day until late in the evening. The decking at Owl's Rest is a great sun trap. If and when it rains Owl's Rest provides a cosy place to snuggle up, watch films and play the many board games or start a new book. There are also many indoor activities locally to explore in Gwynedd. Just google as they are too numerous to list! However, at the chalet there are leaflets that I and other guests have kindly collected. There are more at reception and they are always helpful with directions and local information.
This is a very friendly area and those around in our experience have always been willing to help. The reception will always point you in the right direction for the site or surrounding areas. It is open in normal business hours. The on-site shop are also very helpful and are open in low season in normal working hours but in high season very early until late at night.
  • Loved our short stay here over New Year. Helen's little cabin has everything you could need for a short stay somewhere picturesque and quiet. Out of season Helen's little place has space heaters in every room which helped keep us all cosy and snug. We especially appreciated all of the little touches like games,DVDs, coffee maker with a few pods etc that just added to our little family break. As before, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and perfectly designed for a short stay for 2 adults and 2 kids. Hope to return when the sun's shining!

    Lorna2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Helens chalet was lovely and also spotlessly clean, everything you could need was provided, and the park itself was also a lovely place with everything on site you could need. Location is also spot on with Caernarfon centre 10 mins down the road, and Llanberis & Snowdon a 15\20 minute drive. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

    Tim2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Superb beautiful location. Gorgeous cabin, very modern and is equipped with everything you’d need. Helen was a great host and very responsive with messages. The surrounding area is beautiful and the view is amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone

  • What a lovely location, amazing view and stylishly decorated place. We had a lovely time with our two young children, it was cold outside but the heating provided kept us nice and toasty. • The chalet was as expected with no frills. Guests need to provide their own toilet paper, washing up liquid, soap, drying cloth, shampoo and shower gel. ALSO it’s pay as you go electricity which isn’t mentioned in the details! The chalet was clean, in a good location and there is a shop on the site.

    Piotr2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay. Place was clean and tidy. It’s a holiday park, so all facilities including children’s playground is minutes walk. We planned trip to snowdonia and this place is just 20 minutes drive there. The place can accommodate 5 people, but Mick was very helpful to let us bring in air bed for extra person, although we didn’t not use it. Mick was super responsive. Would definitely recommend this place to everybody.

  • 1. No WiFI 2. Broken Bed 3. Dirty beddings 4. Major electricity issues, if someone is taking hot shower, in that case all other appliances should be off otherwise the fuse will blow and might take hours to repair. 5. In my stay it took 5 hrs to repair that and I was so terrified to use anything, resulting we could not keep the heating on. 6. Have to Buy electricity at extra cost from accommodation price. Location is good Plenty of Space for 4 View is good . 4 out of 10

A lovely 3 bedroom cottage in a holiday park. A neutral, light decor with an open plan layout down stairs. The bathroom is downstairs. A lovely setting outside on the back to listen to the birds and nature.
Our cottage is on a holiday site we are open from March to December each year. On site you will find an outdoor pool, playground, football pitch, pub serving food, cafe, small shop and a launderette. Fishing is available and a pass can be bought from reception and the shop. Also enjoy lovely walks along the river.
Caernarfon is a perfect setting. We are a short distance to Snowdon mountain and lovely LLanberis in Snowdon's shadow. A fabulous place to go walking or messing about on boats at LLyn Padarn. The beaches and coastal areas are fabulous and a stones throw away. We often drive to the outstanding Newbourgh beach on Anglesey. Why not visit Caernarfon for some chips after a day fishing for crabs and avoiding seagulls.

It’s quirky it’s a little bit dated ( especially the rather fetching blue Bathroom suite ) but it’s clean pet friendly and in one of the most peaceful beautiful spots on the park , we have a decent decking area to sit out on and enjoy watching the river whilst having a cuppa , the WiFi is temperamental because if it’s location but it is still a great base and it’s very fairly priced
It’s so close to the river, has a lovely decking area and is comfortable inside there is a double bed and two singles with one pull out single as an extra , a cute little kitchen and cosy lounge ,
We are less than ten mins from the historic town of Caernarfon , and close to so many things to do for both adults and children , I highly recommend gypsy wood park which is only five mins from us by car , great for little ones
  • The lodge is as described and in a good quiet position overlooking the river, even in Autumn it was relaxing to look out from the living room and in Summer the large decking area must be lovely. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, there was a breakfast bar with stools but also a large table and chairs were available. The main bedroom was larger than it looked in the photo and the bed was very comfortable and cosy. The place was spotlessly clean, I would recommend this property.

    Shirley2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy and as described would stay again. Great communication with Michelle too

    Jonathan2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely spot right next to the river. The cabin is just as described on the listing. We had a lovely stay.

    Michelle2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed at this lovely cabin nestled between a rushing river and trees. The cabin was cozy with plenty of room for 4. Lots of small touches like board games, kitchen utensils, towels and the best toilet paper 🧻 which makes all the difference. Also loved the touch lamps which added to the period and charm of the place. The location was spot on for a base to climb Snowdon and explore Caernarfon Castle which was well worth the visit. The actual location of the cabin on the site was tucked away in a cul de sac giving a peaceful setting away from the site traffic.

  • A great cabin on a lovely holiday park. We didn’t feel the description does this place justice, it was spacious, clean and been so close to the flowing river makes it extra special. Very handily placed for many days out. We will return!

    Steven2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, lots of onsite facilities and fishing in the river was lovely. Dog loved the decking and nice little touches such as board games we enjoyed and my son liked the colour changing lamps at bed time. Cosy and quiet perfect for a relaxing break away from busy life.

Few holiday parks can boast such an enviable location. Glan Gwna is located a 10 minute drive from Anglesey, the Llyn Pensinula and a 15 minute drive from Snowdon mountain, this is the ideal base from which to explore and experience all that North Wales has to offer. The cabin is perfect for Snowdon mountain walkers, family's,friends and couple getaways.
  • Great place to stay, fantastic location to Caernarfon, great value for money

    Andie2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Best view in the park! The cabin really does look down on the river. You can open a window and fall asleep to the sound of the running river. Less than 10 minutes from Caernarfon. The park has family-friendly activities every night: bingo, karaoke, special Fri/Sat shows. The lounge/restaurant is friendly, affordable, free WiFi and you can watch your kids in the pool. There were lots of happy families running all over. If we lived in UK, we’d buy into this park!

    Lisa Ball2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This chalet is a fantastic peaceful space. The large decking area is very private and a lovely place to catch the sun or relax with a coffee and eat your breakfast. The airy, light chalet has obviously been well used over the years but the modernisations in the bathroom (lovely shower space) and the hard floors bring it up to date. I’d recommend for an informal base to explore the area. We’d hope to return.

    Angela2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • A great lodge in a beautiful location. Glan Gwna park is very peaceful and the accommodation has great views over the river down into the park. An excellent base for discovering Snowdonia and beyond. We visited Caernarfon, Beaumaris, Llanberis, the Slate Mountain experience, and climbed Snowdon. All very accessible from the lodge. The lodge had everything we needed and local information and maps of the area were provided.

    Ingrid2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • I have just returned home from a four night stay at Kevin’s place in Caeathro. The site was quiet and picturesque, and a fantastic base for exploring Snowdonia. The lodge was well equipped, with lovely views and was a perfect size for my family of two adults, two children and a dog. Kevin’s responses to my queries in the lead up to our stay were helpful and speedy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place, and hope to stay again in the future.

    Rhiannon2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin best views in the park, enjoyed watching the wildlife from the sitting room window, we used it as a mini break to climb snowdon which was ideally situated.

    Paul2019-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • This lodge location is great. A mile or so from Caernarfon town with shops and takeaways (can recommend ‘Winner Chinese takeaway’). The lodge was very clean Upon arrival. As the weather was awful during our stay, we enjoyed staying inside watching films and being cosy with the heaters on, which held heat very well. The decking area is large and will defiantly be looking forward to coming back in the summer. Kevin was very responsive to messages. Thanks again!

    Whitney2018-11-04T00:00:00Z

Sorry no pets please. Elevated detached 2 bedroom chalet only 6.5 miles from Snowdon. Set on a lovely quiet park in 120 acres of natural surrounds. Ideal for Zip World, mountain treks, river walks, castle visits and outdoor adventures. 6.5 miles from Snowdon and Llanberis. 5 minute drive from Caernarfon and its lovely castle and bay. 15 minutes to Dinas beach. Near to Zip world and the forest roller coaster. 15 minutes to Bangor city and 40 minutes to the Dublin ferries at Holyhead.
Lovely large balcony. Wake up to the sound of the river. Have an adventure holiday. Climbing Snowdon, only 6.5 miles away ( or take the train in from March to October. Walk along the river. See and hear the birds and other wild life. Visit the Isle of Angelsey or even a day trip to Dublin and enjoy the craic. 5 minute drive to Caernarfon to see our gorgeous castle ( just wait until Wil's becomes our P rince of Wales there) and walled town. We loved the area so much that after our last holiday we sold our home in Kent and moved here. So you have a local host ready to help you plan your Welsh adventure if you require it. Also a big bonus is our chalet is situated on a small site where the animals are all real. No noisy tigers, elephants or bears to annoy you or make you dance. Only real adventures. Although in season the clubhouse is open. The cafe and shop open most of the year. Make real memories not dressed up ones.
Amazing. The views include mountains, rivers, sea and of course sheep. Snow if you are lucky. What's not to like.

  • Such a lovely place, lovely touches to make it feel like home from home, great communication with Debi, a beautiful holiday park & watching the sun go down in the evening on the balcony with a glass of wine was amazing. The home had everything we needed in it & the holiday park has a lovely pool, bar & play area so the right amount of amenities for the adults & kids after a day out or a day to relax. Thoroughly recommend & Debi was very knowledgable about the local area & the places we might find of interest to us. Hope to return again in the near future... 😀

  • If your thinking of booking to stay here you won't be disappointed. There was plenty of toiletries shampoo etc. Tea coffee sugar which is always helpful when you go somewhere and might forget something. My partner forgot his toothbrush and there was even disposable ones in the bath room. The bedrooms are bigger than they look in the pictures with each room with waredrobes. The site shops pool and bar was closed as we stayed over Christmas but can't wait to come back and be able to use all those next time. I noticed people had complained about the beds but we had no trouble with the beds very comfortable. They decorated the house for Christmas and left gifts for the children which was a lovely touch. Thank you hope to be back soon.

My pet friendly holiday chalet is close to stunning coastline, the mountains of Snowdonia, places of historical interest and outstanding natural beauty. The chalet is situated in a quiet, small, family run holiday park 2 miles from the market town of Caernarfon, a World Heritage Site. There are many things to see and do in the area whatever the weather. The chalet is particularly well situated for those who enjoy the outdoors.
The chalet is well equipped for individuals, couples and families alike. It has 2 bedrooms and a living room with kitchen off and a bathroom. There is outside space for eating, BBQing. It is very easy to heat with electric heaters, and gets comfortably warm in the winter. However, please be aware that my accommodation is not a house, it is a chalet. Therefore, some considerations are worth drawing your attention to: -The rooms are small in comparison to a house, but bigger than a static caravan. - Heating is electric and not central so you have to turn heaters on and off. - The power supply to the chalet is not as strong as a house so the shower is not a power shower. Having said that, you won't 'run out' of electricity. -Hot water for the bath and taps is heated by an immersion heater, with a limited capacity, so you can't have several baths in a row. The shower heats on demand, however. There is no wifi in the chalet at present, but there is wifi in the poolside bar/cafe area onsite. There is freeview TV but no sky.
  • Great location, great accommodation. I will visit again.

  • We had a lovely stay in the apartment, it was spacious and had all the facilities we needed to stay in and cook one evening. The apartment is located a short walk from the town which was great. Unfortunately the weather was too bad for us to climb Snowdon as originally intended, but we still had a great stay.

  • Hufflepuff House is a lovely cosy place to stay. The site itself was quite as end of season but would love to go again in high season. The park itself is not far from any of the main roads in Wales so you can get everywhere. The only down fall is dogs aren't allowed in the on site pub. Hope to be back next year. Thank you Debbie & Carl

  • There are several similar places to choose from at the same holiday home site, but we are so glad we chose Hufflepuff! We picked it specifically because it is dog friendly and has wifi within the house, rather than someplace else on the site. This was essential for our travels and the signal was excellent throughout our stay. Was an excellent base to explore Snowdonia, within a quiet neighbourhood. The beds were comfortable and the thoughtful hosts left us everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The shower was temperamental but like all their correspondence, as soon as we let the hosts know they were on it! Really thoughtful and speedy responses to all of our questions, before and during our stay. Highly recommend and we hope to stay again in the future.

Every little detail was thought about but the hosts to make the stay as brilliant as possible. The location is amazing being only a short drive to the city centre and within distance of a lot of activities and days out. It was amazing to sit by the river and watch the wildlife. Could not recommend this place or the hosts anymore!

  • My wife and I stayed in Jill's chalet for 2 nights to visit the local area and climb Snowdon. The chalet was excellently located, about 10 minutes from Llanberis and 5 minutes from Snowdon. We spoke to Jill on the phone beforehand, and she gave us some excellent tips for things to do nearby and some pointers about the property. Great place!

Our cosy self catering cottage is close to Snowdonia, ZipWorld, PortMeirion, beautiful beaches and outdoor activities of all kinds..
A warm welcome awaits you by your hosts at our home set in attractive grounds in a beautiful village on the outskirts of Caernarfon. You have use of the main house bathroom which is next to the bedroom. Whilst it is not technically en suite, it is right next to your room. Your hosts have their own bathroom and you exclusive use of the bathroom. Whilst the photo shows a bath, please note it shower use only. There is a super view of the garden. This room is small double but perfectly ample for two tidy people or works well as a "super single" (the bed is four foot double). There is ample parking on site outside the off, totally off road. Must like cats as we have two lovable ginger kitties! The Kitties (Pumpkin and Paddy) do not go in the guest bedrooms and to maintain this we ask that you close your bedroom door at all times. Please note the A4085 from Caernarfon to our village of Caeathro is current closed due to road works (estimated end of June 2020). Therefore the alternative route into town for cars and walkers is around 4 miles and takes approximately 1 hour 15 to walk or a taxi will be about £10. This causes no issues if you are driving its a 5 min drive into town. There is bus into town please check out details. Also please note there are some building materials on the exterior of the premises, this does not affect your accomodation. We have priced the accomodation to account for both issues. Our home is set in six acres in a quiet village within, with its stunning Castle and variety of shops and restaurants. This accommodation provides a tranquil space, with no children. Guests should note this is an old farm style property and therefore if guests have any kind of physical impairment they should consider if staying here would be practical for them. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the kitchen and you are welcome to help yourself at anytime. You are welcome to place a few items in the fridge or bring your own breakfast items and we are happy for you to prepare a light breakfast in the morning. Although we do not mind guests preparing small/quick meals on occasion throughout their stay, we have a small kitchen and thererfore arrangement with us beforehand is a necessity. No access to kitchen after 9pm except to make a drink. Therefore, any cooking beyond breakfast needs to be arranged and agreed with us, so that we too can cook our meals. The kitchen MUST be left clean, tidy and clear after every use. Please wash and dry up. This is a perfect holiday location for those that enjoy the outdoors. Your hosts are more than happy to help you in any way they can to enjoy your break and look forward to sharing this space with you. Your hosts also recognise that guests want to be left alone to enjoy their holiday too!! We love hosting and if there is anything you want please ask us and we will try to accommodate you. There is a dining table where guests are welcome to eat again by arrangement with us. There are many nice places to get breakfast/dinner in Caernarfon. There will nearly always be somebody on the premises for you to speak with. Some stunning places to visit are shown below (these include but are not limited to....:-) Caernarfon Castle Zip World Beaumaris and the Beautiful menai straits from where you can take a beautiful boat trip to Puffin Island. Snowdon Mountain (walk up or take the train) Llanberis (slate museum, cottage hospital and lake pardarn) which are all free entry. The list goes on, the internet will help you further before your stay and we will help you further during your stay. This a rural area and you will need a mode of transport, although many guest come on foot and manage very well with buses etc to get around. Great for walking and cycling. Stunning views around the general area. There is ample parking and plenty of outside space.

  • Beautiful chalet, immaculately clean and on a very nice holiday park. The property has everything you need, is very stylish and in tip top condition. Very easy to find. Check in was easy and communication with host was excellent. Only stayed for one night but wish we had more time to explore the park and surrounding area. Thank you!!

  • If you are interested in climbing Snowdon, you should stay here. Great place.

  • Stayed at Andy's place for one night, which was too shorter time! Lovely holiday home, very clean with more than enough amenities. It was a quiet location, only a short walk from the onsite shop/cafe etc.. and very relaxing! The weather was extremely warm at the time but inside remained nice a cool but still very light. We received great communication from Andy, who even checked in with me when we were there. Shame we could not stay longer this time but we'll be back I'm sure.

Cosy terraced house just completely refurbished and eco-friendly, in a quiet cul de sac in the centre of the historic Royal Town of Caernarfon. 300 yards from the Castle and square, 400 yards from the shoreline and plenty of good pubs and eateries. Perfect for exploring Snowdonia. 20 minutes from Zipworld and four of the Snowdon footpaths. Very well equipped. Private rear paved courtyard/garden with seating and lots of sun. A comfy king size bed and good wifi - what more could you want?!
A residents parking permit will be provided. New restrictions mean that there is always a space near to the house. We have tried to ensure that everything is provided for you to have a perfect stay in Caernarfon - a five star home from home. We have enjoyed stellar reviews for our first Airbnb home - Trigfa - in nearby Waunfawr and hope to achieve the same with Tŷ Ni. We are dog owners ourselves and welcome well behaved dogs but ask that they are never left at the house unaccompanied. There is a great park for exercising just five minutes walk away past the Castle as well as some of the most exhilarating walking in the UK just a very short drive or bus ride away. Many pubs in the area are dog-friendly. We try to be as sustainable and green as possible. All the cleaning products used are eco-friendly and bottles are re-filled at our local-shop plastic free eco-shop in the Castle Square. All your bedding and towels will have been washed in Ecover products and air dried either on the line at our home in the hills or over our carbon-neutral woodburner.
Caernarfon Castle and castle walls is a World Heritage Site set on the Menai Straits. It makes an ideal base for all sorts of adventures available in Snowdonia and beyond.
  • Brilliant location, very clean and comfortable, an ideal base for the town and Snowdonia.

  • A great location to get out and about including Snowdon & Devil’s Kitchen. A small space but only 2 of us staying so enough space for us! Had all the pots and pans needed and was sparkling clean all over. Quick responses from host who was accommodating to our needs. Excellent value for money!

  • Lovely stay in Caernarfon : a welcoming home close to the city center and the castle ! Marianne made sure everything was perfect for us.

    Laurène2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent!

    Diana Elena2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Marianne’s for a short break this weekend as a base for a day in the mountains. Up to and during our stay Marianne was really helpful and very quick to respond to any questions or enquires, not that we had many but Marianne was an excellent host. The space is cosy and perfect for a couple or individuals as a base. The house was spotlessly clean and looked brand new throughout. We found the area very quiet and peaceful. The main historic town, castle, square and harbour are all no more than 15 minutes walk away at most, the square and it’s shops are 5 mins away with a small supermarket, bigger supermarkets are close by in the town, Pen-y-Pass and all Snowdon’s footpath starts are within 30 minutes drive as is the Ogwen valley. All in all a nice location with an really nice helpful host and a lovely cosy house in easy reach of the areas attractions.

Croeso cynnes i Bryn Eisteddfod, ein cartref cyfeillgar yn Nghaernarfon. Mike and Iona would love to welcome you to stay in the recently refurbished top floor rooms of their Grade II listed house in Caernarfon. The rooms, comprise of 1 double bedroom, sitting room, private bathroom, with bath and separate shower and spacious landing. Please note that the house is situated on a road and can start to be busy between 07:00 - 19:00.
Bryn Eisteddfod was built in 1837 spanning the Georgian and Victorian era. The style reflects the increasing prosperity of Caernarfon as a harbour town during this period. The house is being lovingly restored by us and we seek to retain as many of the original features as possible The rooms available are on the top floor up two flights of comfortable stairs. The rooms (originally believed to be the servants quarters!) have been converted into a bright and fresh living space. We do have a further double room available on the same floor which can be made available for additional members of your party at a discounted rate of £25 per person per night, both rooms have double beds, storage space and televisions. A snug sitting room with a large comfy leather sofa and internet connected television is the ideal space if you wish to spend an evening indoors. The floor has its the own private bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower. Towels and toiletries are provided for your use. There is also a large landing that has facilties for making your tea/ coffee etc. A small fridge is available to keep your milk fresh and wine/ gin chilled! We have ample storage for cyclists, canoeists, walkers and other outdoor pursuits aficionados to store your kit. For those muddy walking and cycling days, we also have available a large walk in wet room for your use on the ground floor. PLEASE NOTE: If you were just booking the 1 room, to give you total privacy, we do not book the second room out to any third party, thereby allowing you the use of the whole floor exclusively (less the second bedroom).
Bryn Eisteddfod is located within easy walking distance of the town. It is a town house so please expect the normal noise of town life plus seagulls! Please note that the house is situated on a road and can start to be busy between 07:00 - 19:00. To make finding us easy- take a look at the last two photos; the sat nav doesn't always pinpoint the correct house. Guests please check in by 19:00 or if you are having difficulties please let us know at the earliest opportunity. We have had guests arriving at midnight some 5 hours after check in end time and not informing us.
  • Lovely space with a fabulous bathroom.

  • Michael made us feel very welcome, we arrived later than planned after a 6 hour traffic ridden drive from Berkshire and he greated me and my family at the door with a smile. He even offered to cook us some dinner! We were taken to the top floor of the house where there was a bedroom, landing area with tea and coffee making facilities, living room with a TV and a lovely bathroom. Everything was spotless and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was supplied in the morning there was fruit, cereal, cheese, pastries and yogurts and Michael was on hand for teas and coffee's. The only thing we would say the place could do with was some kind of bolt lock on the bedroom door. We would fully recommend staying here, Michael is a superb host who would do anything for you and has a beautiful home!

    Joe2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing!!! Everything was perfect. Michael and Iona are the loveliest hosts and have the most amazing house. We had the upstairs to ourselves and it was just lovely. Exactly as you see on the pictures. The bath was probably the highlight after an 8 hour hike in the rain. The breakfast was yummy and plentiful! We have stayed in plenty of vacation rentals and this must be the best one!! Thanks for having us!

    Laura2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • I would recommend a visit here as I wanted to see the Caenarfon castle and this was a good setting. the fact that you get the top floor to yourself makes the stay very pleasant.

    John2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Iona were extremely welcoming and did all they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The accommodation consisted of a separate bedroom with a comfortable bed, a modern bathroom with a powerful shower, a cosy lounge with modern TV and a great view of Caernarfon Castle. We appreciated the generous breakfast with a selection of cereals, fruits and pastries as well as the container filled with snacks to enjoy at our leisure. We would highly recommend Michael and Iona's place.

    John2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely recommend, place was lovely, lots to offer within the accommodation, what a lovely couple and amazing breakfast options would definitely stay again

    Daniel2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great welcome, good by the city center, good breakfast and great accommodation!

    Robin2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Iona are extraordinary hosts! The guest rooms where really spacious, clean and furnished and decorated with lots of love. We were provided with everything we needed and more. Michael picked us up from the train station, brought us back there and even drove us to the riding stables. They even lent us their raincoats as we weren't really prepared for the welsh weather. The breakfast was very delicious with lots of options! The location is also great for exploring the Snowdonia National Park and Caernarfon Castle is just around the corner. We would definitely recommend Michael and Iona's place!

  • A very homely quiet and tranquil place which is very clean and comfortable. Christine is a very communicative and caring host. Our party would not recommend the Bistro for food however the poolside pub food was good.

  • The house was perfectly located and the amenities in the park were useful. Nice house with everything you need for a short stay.

  • We spend nice holidays on this house, it was very clean. We really enjoyed our time in north Wales, even if the weather was more cloudy and rainy than sunny, but near the sea, there are always a time during the day when we can go outside to find beautiful landscapes and waterfalls. When the weather was too bad, we were playing with the house (I had not played at Monopoly since 20 years!). My daughters loved it and also the pool. There are some DVD if you prefer to watch a movie. We had a nice family holiday, the house was very clean when we arrived. We loved the area, despite a cloudy and rainy weather with however a few moments of sun. This is the advantage of the seashore, there is always a time in the day when you can go out to find around beautiful landscapes and pretty waterfalls. When the weather was really bad, we played with the games present in the house (I had not played monopoly for at least 20 years!). My daughters loved this moment but also and especially the pool. There are also some DVDs for those who prefer to watch a movie.

  • We’ve had a fantastic time in North Wales. Great place to stay, really well appointed house and the location is perfect for exploring the local area. About 30min walk into Caernarfon. The children loved the swimming pool and demanded to go in everyday, even when it was raining! The poolside bar is pretty reasonable for drinks, the food looked good, but we cooked every night. Waitrose delivery to the site. We’ll definitely book again. Thank you.

    Charlie2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean little cottage in beautiful and quiet surroundings. It was a last minute break and Christine was very accommodating with our dates. Towels and bedsheets were fresh and there were even games and colouring pens and book to keep the kids busy.
