Unique country house situated at the wild atlantic way amongst the Lakeland of the rosses area. Bright and airy with outside veranda. 5 minutes from most beautiful beaches. Horses, surfboards, golf angling, all available at your doorstep. Donegal international airport only 10 min drive away. Perfect retreat to relax, put your feet up at the log fire or enjoy the most spectacular scenery. Breakfast included. Optional you can enjoy a lovely evening meal on request at very reasonable price.
House set in Lakeland 5 min from Atlantic ocean and stunning beaches. Rooms are spacious, private. Bathroom private during your stay and kitchen, dining, livingroom/decking all for your use.... Very cosy in wintertime to put your feet up and throw some wood logs on the fire.
My home is set in peaceful yet wild area. Easy access to local town by car or bike. The house is a rather different place from the normal architecture here which makes it quiet unique. We have very little light pollution...starry nights are unique and can be rather mesmerizing from my decking. A good night's sleep is guaranteed as there is hardly any traffic noise and nearest neighbors are a mile away. Access to lakes for swimming and or angling. Most beautiful beaches only 5 min from house. Golf course, horse riding, sea kayaking, surfing, angling all at your doorstep.
  • Fabulous house and wonderful hospitality. Rudy was so welcoming, cooked a delicious breakfast and gave us brilliant tips for our onward trip in Donegal. The bed is super comfy and a lush bathroom next door. Everything was spot on. A peaceful and relaxing place to stay!

  • Where to start... cannot recommend this place and family enough! If you are looking for an outstanding Airbnb experience in a unique and wonderful environment, look no further. This place had it all. It was absolutely beautiful and homey, with cozy decor that makes you want to stay forever. Rudy and his daughter were lovely to be around and took excellent care of us. The dinner that was prepared for us was exceptional, like something you would find in a 5 star reataurant. The complimentary breakfast exceeded all expectations as well. We slept really well in sparkling clean sheets, and had all the pillows and blankets we could ever need. The bathroom was stylish, always available, and included a very good shower with hot water and excellent pressure. Easily the best Airbnb experience ever, hoping to return soon! :)

  • I didn't expect my best Airbnb experience, as an Irishman, would end up being in Ireland. This is a special place to stay with a very warm, open and generous family. A beautiful and unique house in a great part of Donegal. I had bad weather and brought a shy dog but felt lucky to tap into the wisdom and enthusiasm of Rudy, Sam and Emily. Thank you for all, including the wonderful food.

    David2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful charming place to stay. Rudy and Samantha (& Emily) were the most wonderful welcoming hosts. Their hospitality was beyond exceptional. From the meet & greet to the invitation to join them for dinner (Samantha is a great cook), sharing wine and conversation in the evening in their very comfortable lounge and Rudy (excellent cook too) providing the most amazing unique breakfast each morning was one of the best hospitable stays I have ever enjoyed. A excellent location (wonderfully remote & hidden) to which I truly hope to return in the near future. Thank you again Rudy & Samantha for hosting me at your delightful home.

    Tomás2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rudy's place is a bit special. One of the coolest and most interesting homes I've visited. It's cosy, homely, incredible value and they made me feel very welcome and relaxed. Thanks Rudy and clan.

  • A uniquely stylish farmhouse set iñ a beautiful location and an extremely friendly host make for a wonderful stay.

    Warren2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Rudy's place has to be my top Airbnb experience yet. The house is so homely, warm, comfortable and stylish. Rudy and Sam are really welcoming, and I loved that we all sat down to a delicious dinner together. I will definitely stay again.

    Ruth2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • I seriously cannot thank Rudy and Sam enough for their kindness and generosity. My stay in Kincasslagh went above and beyond in more ways than one. The food Rudy cooked was fantastic! And it was super convenient to have dinner at the house on my first night, rather than go into town. I was overjoyed to be staying somewhere with animals, and even had the chance to go on a walk with the dogs on my last day! Not only that, but as a university student visiting Ireland, I'm not able to rent a car, so I was relying on bus and taxis in order to get around. I was extremely grateful for Rudy's willingness to drop me off at the beach on his way into town and pick me up on his way back home. He was headed out later in the day and even took me to the back entrance of the National Park so I could walk the path to the castle. This weekend was everything I was hoping for and more. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an authentic experience! I hope to be back soon :)

  • The schoolhouse was definitely the highlight of our lodging in Ireland. Our family enjoyed looking through the registry of the school and pretending to attend school there. The hospitality was fantastic and we enjoyed the fabulous light from the windows and sunlights. We’d love to go back!

  • Rudy's house is beautifully remote but has every thing to offer near by from the mountains to endless beaches. The house is warm and cozy great breakfasts that set you up for the day. I really loved comming back to warm friendly atmosphere after braving the February Donegal elements .

  • We had an amazing stay with Rudy! He offered us a dinner when we arrived and it was an absolutely amazing meal, breakfast the next morning was no different, absolutely delicious! Before we leaving he gave us a number of local recommendations to check out along the way. Great hospitality in a very cozy home, would absolutely recommend staying here and if I have the chance I'll make sure to come back!

    Alain2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rudy's house is placed in a beautiful site. You can have a walk from the the house and you're in the middle of the nature, enjoying a quite moment. Rudy will always take care of you and if you have a problem will do anything he can to help you. His delicious meals are prepared to be also good for the eye. I spent two weeks in his house and will again next time i go to Donegal. The only problem i have is that i don't when it will be...

    Claude2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house and great hospitality! Rudy is very welcoming and helpful, I definetely recommend staying there if you visit Donegal. The room was charming and the breakfast excellent and I am especially grateful for the great recommandations on places to visit! I'd love to come again.

  • This was a really fabulous stay. Rudy's hospitality was outstanding, and his house is very special. The location gives easy access by car to many beautiful areas of Donegal, and Rudy took time to suggest places that I might enjoy - all of which I loved. Rudy's cooking is excellent, and I was delighted with both dinners I ate there. My room was stylish and very comfortable. It was lovely to meet members of Rudy's family, and I left in the hope that I'll return one day soon.

    Judith2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rudy is a brilliant host with an amazing home. It had everything (and more!) that we needed for a comfortable stay. Rudy makes a delicious breakfast and gave us great ideas and advice about what to see on our travels. We would definitely recommend Rudy's place to anyone staying in the area.

  • Donegal We had a really lovely stay in Joanne and Pat's place recently in Meenagowna, who are excellend hosts in many ways including leaving homemade scones and jam upon our arrival. The apartment itself is spotless and has everything you might need along with wetsuits, should you wish to venture into the water, BBQ, bikes etc. It overlooks the mountains in the distance which was a lovely sight with the rising sun behind them first thing in the morning. Their place is also only a few minutes walk to some lovely little beaches with the clearest of waters. We should also not forget Koda, their very friendly dog, who we were only to happy to make friends with and him with us. We will definitely be back.

    Luc2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place, comfortable, welcoming, and authentic. Hostess full of attention (jam and sconse home), fire on our arrival. All conditions are there to discover a beautiful region.

    Catherine2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time here and once again, it did not disappoint. We were travelling with our 11 month old son and it really makes all the difference when somewhere has a travel cot available to use, than packing one into the car. Joanne could not have done enough to ensure that he was cosy and warm. When we arrived the stove was lit, and again, met with delicious homemade scones. It's the small touches that make this place so special.

    Michelle2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • You can stop your search right here. Absolutely outstanding! Everything you need, want and much MUCH more. A warm fire and fresh scones waiting for you on arrival, Joanna is more than an outstanding host, anything you need or want, just ask Joanna. Besides the standard kitchen and kitchen equipment, very comfortable big bed + 2 singles, terrace, BBQ, parking, bathroom , dining and sitting room there are a myriad of extras; board games, bicycles, kayaks, dry suits for the adventurous who want to go swimming, local tips and even local walks (very detailed) put together by Joanna herself. Netflix and satellite TV and wifi of course. Highly recommended.

    Charissa2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne's place is a bit of heaven: a lot of kind and warm attention (with home made scones!), A great place to stay. Even if a bit tricky to find, we did not expect so much. Perfect! // A little corner of paradise ? Joanne is a welcoming host and benevolent (received with homemade scones), the house is perfectly equipped from the bottom up (the fireplace is probably the detail and more than we did not expect), the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Although it is a little complicated to go there, we did not ask for so much. Perfect !

    Nathalie & Guillaume2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Joanne's. The location is superb and the real small house any comfort. The place is absolutely calm. Joanne gave us a great welcome with nice touches and informed us about all possible activities. If you like the calm and the nature, do not hesitate, you will be filled.

    Olivier2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time in Donegal and wished we had booked for a longer stay. The flat was perfect. It was so cozy, stylish and relaxing. Joanne was so kind and accommodating - the prefect host. It was so handy having access to walking equipment and wetsuits. Joanne has also made some leaflets for walking trails for beautiful local walks which are very easy to follow. It was such a lovely touch. I would highly recommended staying here and hope we will be back again in the future.

    Ailbhe2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne and Pats are without a doubt one of the best hosts I’ve met so far on AirBnB. They’re very enthusiastic to share all their knowledge about the wonderful place where they live. They can provide absolutely all you need for your stay: maps, bicycles, kayaks, hiking gear, beach toys... and many more. The house is very clean and comfortable. The nearest beaches are at less than two kilometers from the house. Those lovely beaches are hidden between some beautiful red granite blocks. You’re just at a five minutes drive from Burtonport where some ferries can lead you to the beautiful Arranmore island. I would warmly recommend to stay in Meenagowna if you plan to go to Donegal.

  • It’s hard to do this home justice. The setting is tranquil, the accommodations exceptional and the hospitality top notch. Even when the power went out in the area within an hour of our arrival, we were provided with lanterns within minutes. Regular updates were appreciated. Power was on quickly. My sons loved playing pool while I relaxed in the luxurious spa bath. The town of Burtonport is wonderful. The hand knit sweaters and other things made you locals are quintessential souvenirs. We had tea with the shopkeeper at the visitors center and enjoyed learning about the area. Wonderful exhibits give you a real sense of life in this seaside community. Dinner at The Lobster Pot and Bayview Bar were amazing. Highly recommended.

  • This appartment is fun and luxury together. The photos don't lie, the living room is everything you'd want for a great time! View of the lake in the morning, the kitchen is small but very well equipped and thought out. The beds and bath are luxurious. Perfect place for a time away, even if it rains!

  • Beautiful Donegal!!!

    Paul2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Hidden Gem Donegal is a fantastic place to stay. You can’t ask for nicer amenities. The Irish style bar and pool table are great and the bathroom was nicer than you would find in the fanciest hotels. You should definitely flip through Mary Frances’ guest book and find the map for the local beaches. They are very close, private, and gorgeous. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the County Donegal area.

  • Perfect beachy getaway! We stayed in ‘the wee house’ for 3 nights in March and absolutely loved it! Sharon and joe were amazing hosts who did everything possible to ensure our stay was perfect. The wee house has everything you need inc a fully equipped kitchen, comfy living area with woodburning stove, bedroom with super kingsize bed and hotel quality bathroom with all the required toiletries and super fluffy towels and robes/slippers. On arrival the kitchen was stocked with all sorts of yummy necessities such as butter, jam, bread, milk, a meat platter and a nice bottle of Prosecco. The house was spotless and lovely and warm, and the interior looks a bit like it came straight out of a magazine! The beach is around 5 mins walk and there are lots of beautiful parks and drives nearby. We would def recommend the wee house, we ended up booking another night as 3 nights just wasn’t long enough! Thanks again Sharon and Joe, great Airbnb!

  • Would like to thank Orla and her husband for a fantastic stay at Andy Bans. We managed to choose the weekend of Storm Dennis to stay which meant we did not have the chance to take advantage of the fantastic views and beauty of the area. However, we still had a great time. The house was spotless for our arrival and lots of little nice touches (tea bags, fresh bread, milk, butter etc) were left for us. The Boyles were very responsive and on hand to answer any questions. We look forward to staying again soon!

  • This air bnb was the perfect get away! Absolute stunning view from the front bedroom, amazing location with a pub at the bottom of the street and a shop just across from that. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions and family of the host living next door were so lovely and helpful too. The house was clean, warm and cosy and easy to manage. Nice little extras with throws for comfort, towels, cooking utensils and some essentials (bread, milk, biscuits) on arrival too! Honestly we just had the most perfect weekend and we would love to come back again.

    Tara2019-12-01T00:00:00Z

  • Ideally located (5 min to the centre of town) and quiet place. There weren’t any vacancies at the BandB anymore so Marie offered us to the stay in a private cabin which is very well furnished. Marie is a very reactive and kind host.

    Quentin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Marie’s place is lovely, the room we had was spacious and comfortable. It is a short walk into the town and there are a few places to have a meal, plus do some shopping. The breakfast was exceptional, with a lot of choice. Marie was very helpful, checkin was smooth and Marie was happy to share local tips. I would recommend Marie’s place.

    Jennifer2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was my last stop before leaving Ireland after three weeks. I stayed here for two days. The day I arrived I had been driving all day, was sick, and a bit frazzled. Marie met all my needs without being intrusive. She was a warm and kind host and her BnB felt the same, warm and welcoming. The bed was not the most comfortable but it wasn't terrible and everything else was great.

  • This is a lovely B&B in a quiet location just a short walk along the seafront from the town, with plenty of amenities, nice bars, and places to eat. Lovely welcoming host, couldn't have been more helpful.

    Richard2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay with Marie in her beautiful BnB. The room was so spacious, sparkling clean and really comfortable with amazing views over the bay. Marie made us feel really at home and gave us a great breakfast. We were also given lots of useful information about the beautiful area including the fabulous Arranmore Island, which was a particular delight. There’s so much to see and do and it’s an ideal place to stay on the Wild Atlantic Way. We thoroughly recommend staying here and hope to be back ourselves!

Amazing location and a huge space. Lovely and cosy with nice Christmas touches. Easily held 8 of us and a baby with everything we needed to cook two big evening meals. Good communication and an easy check in.

  • An amazing stay with a lovely host - Lucy has a wonderful home, and is the most hospitable person I've come across so far using Airbnb. The bedroom was cosy and spacious, with an en-suite bathroom. Incredibly clean and tidy, I felt just at home during my time here. Lucy went out of her way to pick me up from the airport when I arrived, and again when I left, such a kind gesture. She provided wonderful local tips and knowledge for my few days cycling, even going as far as finding out where I could rent my bike. The area is wonderful and scenic, with plenty of walks and cycling routes, and a little pub, shop and post office just a few mins walk away. I can't wait to stay again. Thank you so much, Lucy, for making my Donegal trip truly special, it's one I'll always remember.

    Samuel2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • On entering Lucy’s wonderful house within seconds you feel like a friend as well as guest. Lucy is warm, generous and goes the extra mile to deliver renowned Donegal hospitality. • A beautiful house in a wonderful location. Breege was very welcoming and a terrific host. The house was spotless and spacious, with incredible views right across Kincasslagh Bay and Mount Errigal. A perfect place to unwind and relax. Thanks Breege.

  • Breege's house on Cruit Island is a wonderful place to stay. Aside from the amazing location, the house itself is spacious, beautifully decorated and sparklingly clean. It is superbly well kitted out with everything you would need during your stay. Our group (four adults and three teenage boys) stayed for two nights in October and from the very start, my communication with Breege was speedy and straightforward. Nothing was a problem. We were due to arrive at 4.30pm on the Saturday but, after a day trip to Arranmore was postponed until Sunday due to weather, Breege allowed us to check in some hours early without any issue. She met us on arrival and showed us around. She kindly left some goodies to have for our stay. She had also left some turf for the stove in the sitting room - which we were delighted to use each evening. All very much appreciated. The views from the house are spectacular. The house is so comfortable and so well equipped it was easy to relax in the dining area watching the scenery and the light change or sit in the cosy sitting room with the stove burning. The location of the house couldn't be better with access to Arranmore Island, Bloody Foreland, Mount Errigal, Owey Island, Glenveagh National Park and much more. One final highlight of our stay was all of us, standing outside late at night, staring up at the sparkling sky and the Milky Way, clearly visible in the dark sky. Seeing spectacular shooting stars was an unexpected bonus! We won't forget our memorable stay in Breege's house and we will return again! Thank you Breege!

We didn’t arrive till after dark but the directions were very clear and the place was found easily despite its remoteness! Everything we needed was at the cottage including breakfast which was a great touch! Highly recommend when in Donegal

    Matt2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a stunning view from this delightful cottage! And Collette was the most helpful and lovely host, not to mention all the little touches in the house that helped make it cosy. Even though we came in August, we had, um, mixed weather - so having the fire ready to light for us, plenty of teas and a proper coffee machine, board games and books and jazz records... it all made it very relaxing and enjoyable. We can't recommend it strongly enough!

Also, if you’re looking to see some sights or tourist attractions, it’s a great spot to start from as it’s pretty near the N56 which gives easy access to many nice areas in Donegal. Collette was a very good host, bringing us some peat when we ran out, and overall we couldn’t have enjoyed it more! We’d love to come back sometime.

  • I cannot recommend Amanda's place highly enough. The house is perfect, squeaky clean, cosy and very well furnished. Lots of hot water and a great shower. It makes for a great stay.. the location and views are beautiful. It is relatively isolated (part of the appeal) so a car would be advised. There are some spectacular beaches to be visited too. We stayed as a family and we had a brilliant time, kids & parents alike. We had only arrived and were already plotting our next trip. We will definitely be repeat customers :-)

    Aoife2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This house was amazing, what a great get away in rural Donegal. Granted the weather made it but Amanda had the place spotless along with essentials to keep us going from the second we arrived. Everything from the usual house facilities to garden, picnic table and patio! She has good knowledge of the local area so was able to recommend some great isolated beaches only 10 mins drive away. We will definitely be heading back, this area of Donegal is untouched, well worth the journey!

  • this cottage is perfect for a family getaway. there's a trail run just behind the property and a working harbor around the corner. local pub down the road (mcdaids) was great craic and we even bought live crab off the local fishermen. we paid an extra €30 to use the upstairs studio, it was difficult to get it heated up so we ended up not really using it as much as we thought. would recommend this cottage for groups or families as it's so big.

  • We were surprised by the size of the house as there were only the 2 of us but we really enjoyed the main rooms with the sun room and the chimney which we used on cold evenings. A very quiet place to stay with all amenities and shops close by... which was very handy. Frank has been nice and helpful all along and made us enjoy our trip even more !

    Marine2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • We did not want to leave! If you want a beautiful and secluded location, peace and nature, or a base to visit some of Ireland's loveliest scenery and people, this must be it. Werner has done a great job with this property and is ably helped by Frank who made us feel welcome and as if it were our home from home.

Lag Dubh holiday home is situated on Cruit Island in a sheltered area surrounded by trees and wild gardens. A few minutes walk in each directions you will find beautiful beaches and lovely scenery of the Wild Atlantic ocean.
Its a two ensuite bedrooms, tv-lounge with fireplace, large kitchen fully equipped.
Cruit Island lies off the coast of West Donegal and is a small Island linked to mainland by a bridge. The island is dotted with beautiful sandy beaches and at the end lies a 9 hole golf course. At low tide it is possible to walk to the mainland at Kincasslagh. You can also book boat trips to Owey Island and fishing trips.
  • This is a lovely, modern house in a very special part of the world. We had four adults and a child staying and there was ample living space for all of us. We would happily stay again.

  • Really nice house in a fabulous location. We really enjoyed our stay here

    Nick2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is spacious and clean and beautiful. There is room for togetherness and privacy. Lots of bathrooms!!!! The location can't be beat if you like puttering and exploring beaches: so many and so different. The local people that we met were the friendliest I have met in thirty years in Ireland. I love the way the house is a little tucked away on its road but easy to find. It's one of my favourite airbnb places. Thanks so much!!!

  • We had a lovely stay here in this beautiful home. The location is fabulous with plenty of beach walks. The perfect place to get away from it all. Warm welcome from Prionsias. He was very helpful and friendly. Very highly recommended.

  • Very impressed with this stunning house. Plenty of room and spotless clean. Kitchen and dining area is spacious and well equipped. It’s a home from home. The pot belly stove in the living room is a lovely feature for the cold nights. Both bedrooms have an en-suite and there is a downstairs bathroom also. The kids loved the large garden to the front of the house. It is well located, just 10 mins drive from Annagry and Dungloe. I would highly recommend this property.

    William2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Eibhlin’s home provides more than expected. It’s all in the details. Sparkling clean, fully stocked kitchen, huge bathrooms, modern appliances and very spacious. Add that to a fabulous location, you will be very glad you stayed here.

    Nancy2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Eibhlin’s place. It was our favorite place to stay while we were in Ireland for two weeks. It was very clean and had a great floor plan for our group of six. I wished we would have discovered the restaurant in the community center that was next door earlier, good food at a very reasonable price. The pub being close by was a bonus too. Also the beach was so close, along with a nice walk to the historical watch tower. We wish our stay would have been longer.

    Jeff2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house in a great location, so close to the beach. The kids loved it

    Derek2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic ! We traveled down from Dublin to visit relatives and were looking for a nice house at a reasonable price. We came across Eibhlin's house and booked. The house was fantastic, really big, spacious and spotless clean, had everything you would ever need to stay. Eibhlin was a great host, friendly and had plenty of local tips. Would defiantly recommend and will certainly be returning.

  • Excellent value for the area, house has lovely character with a great layout.

    Ronan2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We have just had a wonderful two week stay in Sarah’s cottage. As the other reviews state, it’s so much bigger than the pictures suggest. We were a family of four and it was just perfect for us! It is full of charm and is cosy. If you put the heating on - the cottage it heats in minutes and the showers are fab. Sarah is so lovely and responded to any requests or queries very quickly. The location is ace - 12 min walk over the hill /3 min drive to one of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland (Carrickfinn) and a two minute drive from Mullaghderg beach (we think it’s the most beautiful beach in the world!). We had a fantastic time and an extra bonus- the neighbour’s dog, Rosie, has to be the friendliest and cutesy dog on the planet!

    Roisín2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • It was very nice and very cosy at Sarah's house. Unfortunately we didn't met her in person but check in and check out were very uncomplicated. Sarah took care that everything was available in the house so we didn't miss anything. Thanks a lot and we will come back :)

    Christina2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful Irish cottage in the middle of a beautiful landscape, next to a locality (Annagry) which has traditional pub and a supermarket and beautiful sandy beaches. As for the House, it is very comfortable, perfect for a family holiday. Thank you Sarah.

  • We enjoyed a great week here during February. Sarah was a wonderful host and was very responsive to any queries we had.

    Jade2019-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous homely cottage - much cosier than the pictures. Really spacious and great sized bedrooms. Lovely open fire and the host had decorated the hearth for our New Year stay with pretty lights. Very clean and lots of good towels. Well equipped kitchen for cooking (with salt, pepper etc). DVDs, books etc. Throws and blankets to keep you cosy. We felt very at home for our 4 nights and loved the ambiance of the cottage. A night in front of the fire was just perfect. Lovely lamps for a cosy feel. Central heating which heated the cottage very well in chilly December until the fire was going. Great kitchen space for cooking and table for 4 to eat. Friendly neighbour who was happy to give directions to beach etc. Superb location for touring and nearby shops within 5 mins drive. Looking forward to our next trip.

  • We got the Island on the very best weather possible; The house is in a super location; the howling wind when we got into bed at night was spectacular; we felt safe and secure; but it was fierce and powerful. The views from each window were spactacular; it's location to the village on the Island was just over an mile and it took no time at all to walk; the beds and the pillows were so comfortable. The kitchen was well equiped The house is really very big and spacious

  • We had a great 5 night stay at Tricia’s place. The location is perfect for all the local amenities of Dungloe just a few steps away and for exploring the beautiful area of the Rosses. The studio was much bigger than we had thought it would be with a good sized separate kitchen/diner and outside seating area. Tricia is a very welcoming and warm person and it was a pleasure to meet her.

    Patricia And Eddie2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tricia and Neil’s suite and would recommend it to anyone. As well as being spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and featuring all the amenities exactly as advertised, the suite is perfectly located with Dungloe’s main street being no more than a minute’s walk away. Tricia kept in touch with us right up until our arrival and was always available if we needed anything. For anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Donegal, this is a fantastic option.

    Arne2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tricia is an exceptional host. Her attention to the little meaningful touches made our stay a 5*+ rating. I'm only sorry we weren't able to try the breakfast - I've heard many great thing - but a family wedding tends to go on till the wee hours! We will certainly be recommending and visiting again. Dungloe, County Donegal, Ireland

It´s a traditional old Irish Cottage out of granite stone located on its own spacious private grounds  on the coast of Dungloe Bay. The cottage was carefully refurbished to the needs of a comfortable holiday home and to accommodate two adults or a family with two children. Barn Cottage holds a small terrace and conservatory, dining room, central sitting room with a fireplace and gallery bedroom and another separate bedroom.
Barn Cottage is situated in a landscape called the Rosses, the world of West Donegal. A breathtaking land of great mountains, lake–filled valleys, edged by a rugged coastline neclaced by beautiful sandy beaches and washed daily by the clear unpolluted wild but beautiful North Atlantic. With safe and quiet sandy beaches it is a tranquil land, rich in the heritage and culture of it´s Irish music and language, an everyday language spoken by the people of Gweedore and the Rosses.  At Lackennagh, Burtonport, you are right in the centre of the Rosses. This is Donegal - windy, rainy, cold, but also sunny and warm. Turf and heather soil, flowers, sheep, birds. "Wild" Atlantic with magnificent cliffs next to quiet sand beaches. This cottage overlooks the coast and some offshore islands and is completely quiet and sheltered off sight without being isolated and lonely.
  • Great stay in the house, very comfortable and cozy, very good starting point for visiting Donegal. The house is pleasant, even in the middle of winter, thanks to the delicate attention of Franck who brought us briquettes and wood as we went along. Very beautiful panoramic view, some walks within walking distance. Impeccable arrival procedure and unique hospitality, a big thank you to the hosts

    Guillaume2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • If you are after more traditional accommodation in keeping with the history of Donegal look no further. Great location with lovely views out towards Arranmore and Inishfree islands. You are right along the lovely railway walk and 20 min walk will take you into Burtonport itself. Make sure you grab a Guinness in the lobster pot and tell Anne & Tim i sent you. Frank is a great caretaker and made us feel really at home from the first moment. This is a great location for access to some of the best beaches in Donegal. Our ‘hayloft’ bedroom was a great place to rest at night and although we were lucky enough to have warm weather I suspect the wood burning stove would make this home a snug place to hide from the cold and rain later in the year. Would stay again.

  • We have never had such a comfortable and great accommodation as with Sheila. Every detail was perfect. The view from the rooms to the bay was really beautiful and the impressive landscape invites to many excursions. If you are looking for the best relaxation in a very cultivated ambience and the nicest hosts, but also peace and quiet, this is the best place for you. We would love to come again. P.S. ...and don´t miss the great Breakfast!!!

  • So we booked Sheila Ann's place, thinking it looked nice. It was WAY more. Soooo much attention to detail and generosity. We had 3 great days here. Partly exploring the coastline by kayak, partly simply chilling and taking in the beautiful, ever changing view from our private lounge. This is a very special place. Sheila Ann's enthusiasm and eagerness to ensure her guests' comfort is evident in every aspect of Tidal View.

  • Brian's house has stunning views of the Donegal mainland and the ocean. Inside, it's very well-kept and modern, and sooooo spacious. Brian provided a good service, emailing directions to the house beforehand with clear instructions for entering the house. Very happy to highly recommend the house.

  • Just back from a wonderful weeks stay in Arranmore. The house was perfect for us-the view is out of this world! Sea and coastline views from all the full windows: stunning! Huge kitchen with everything needed for a family of 5 ( especially washing machine and tumble dryer for rainy days) a bathroom for each bedroom so loads of space and privacy for everyone. There’s no WiFi and the mobile phone signal isn’t great but then you’re on holiday to get away from it all so it’s actually makes sure you to switch off. Will definitely go back - thanks Brian! 😊
