Richard was a fantastic host for our Easter family holiday. Beautiful cottage, stunning surroundings and immaculate, one of the best AirBnB places we’ve stayed and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an escape to the country. Local pub was fab and very friendly for our 6 year old.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage: everything was clean, comfortable and good quality. It’s in a super peaceful location, just birdsong and the occasional baa of the sheep neighbours! It’s also in a great location for exploring the area, just 30 mins from the coast and there are lots of beautiful villages on the moor. Highly recommended by us!

This was an impulsive (and lucky) last minute break for us with our 2 young children and has been the best holiday we have had in a long time! There is plenty to do locally and not a long drive to the beach (we opted for Whitby). The kids play park in the forest is the best park we’ve visited and could easily have spent a whole day exploring. The surroundings were beautiful and the hosts were so welcoming. Breakfast was a lovely treat and the kids enjoyed feeding the sheep and spying on Cheddar (the cat!). The only downside is that lots of other people have clearly found out what a dream this place is, as we will have to wait a little while for a return trip due to it being booked up! An absolute bargain for a retreat away from city life and we were all wished we could have stayed for longer 🙂.

Lovely little place, perfect for a get away break. The hottub was great to relax in. The goats are gorgeous and so friendly. The family dog was a welcome visitor. Amazing to sit and listen to the birds and look at the beautiful scenery.

What a beautiful place to stay, I wish we’d booked more than one night, we will definitely back, the little touches were lovely aswell, milk and Prosecco in the fridge and ice in the freezer, it was perfect. Thank you

Just what we were looking for - long scenic walks in beautiful surroundings. The flat was so lovely and was comfortable with everything we needed - with wonderful views. Perfect get away.

This was our second visit to this lovely cottage. And our stay was as good as our first. Liz is a great host and the cottage had all the things we needed. It’s very well furnished and furbished and had all the facilities that were needed and totally comfortable for our stay and we felt totally relaxed. The cottage is very well situated to explore this area of Yorkshire. Top marks all round, it’s was lovely. And a big thanks to Liz, our host, for a wonderful stay.

A nice location with great views from the patio. Easy parking outside the cottage. Very clean and tidy with everything you need inside. Bowl of fresh fruit and eggs for us on arrival. Beds very comfortable. WiFi worked good throughout our stay. Good sized bathroom with a good shower & bath. Instructions on how to find the cottage were excellent. Had a nice five days at the cottage.

What a lovely overnight stay at Elizabeth’s. Her and Rob could not have been more helpful. The place is spotless and lovely. Will definitely return

We had a perfect few days staying in Flossy’s hut. The views are absolutely stunning and Cate had made sure every little detail was thought of including beautiful flowers and a welcome hamper. She even went the extra mile, leaving a birthday balloon and banner in the hut for our arrival. Safe to say I’ve won big sister points and my little sister has had the birthday of a lifetime. Cannot recommend this place enough :)

We stayed here for a break away from our home renovations and I can’t explain how peaceful and lovely it was. Fiona met us on arrival and was so helpful with showing us around, brought us some milk and was really friendly. The accommodation itself was beautiful with some stunning finishing touches, the sun beds under the pergola were a dream with a morning coffee and we enjoyed watching some DVDs and seeing all the animals and wildlife. We spent the day in the Yorkshire Dales which is always beautiful and we can’t wait to return to Fiona’s place and experience it all again!

An absolutely lovely place and not far from anywhere like Whitby bay Robin hoods bay were all within easy reach. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely restaurant down the road called the Grainary also lovely restaurant called the plough in Scalby which is a short drive away. The owners were so welcoming and so attentive. Very dog friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Just what the doctor ordered. If you want a fabulous retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life this is for you. The glamping pod is wonderful with everything you need and the hottub is the icing on the cake. As a host Joe is great, exactly what you wish for. 100% will be looking to come back again.

Very beautiful peaceful area, Nic's place was clean and cosy, had everything you need, it was private but there was another hut just next to us which surprised us. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and beautiful views, I recommend this to anyone who wants to relax and escape city noises.

This is a gem of a place, if it is free then book it immediately! really well equipped space, spotlessly clean and beautifully designed with lovely thoughtful extras like miniature gin (!), dog equipment and a torch. Enclosed garden with amazing views, even better if you head up to the cairns! Perfect location for walks from the doorstep and great pub food easily drivable. Jo and Steve were absolutely brilliant. Can't recommend enough.

A beautiful cottage in a fantastic setting. The complementary eggs,bread and milk were much appreciated and the kitchen was stocked with everything you might need. Will definately be back

The cottage was perfect for our weekend doing a bike event. It was clean and tidy. We liked the fact we could get the cars off the road.

We had a lovely time, explored the local village, as well as short car drives to Helmsley and Thirsk. The cottage was spotless, with comfortable beds, quality bedding and extremely well equipped kitchen. A peaceful garden with fabulous views. We enjoyed caring for the chickens who rewarded us with eggs. Thank you Faron.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Walking the surrounding area from the house was great and very near to a pub and tearoom which both served great food. The hot tub was an added bonus!

When we arrived we were greated by Carolyn and Brian, Brian was just about to take Ruby (the dog) for a walk so Carolyn showed us around the apartment, it's a beautiful place to stay and would highly recommend it. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom/shower room is immaculate! The scenery is stunning and we managed to see the deer and a barn owl too!! We just wish we could have stayed longer!! We would just like to say a 'Big Thank You' to you both for making our stay such a lovely and welcoming one! We hope to see you again soon! Sue and Pete 😊 xxx

We had a lovely stay at Molly’s cottage! We stayed for our 5 year anniversary and it was incredibly serene and peaceful. It was really spacious for 2 people and had everything that was promised. Lots of great music choices for the CD player, great board game options and some great reading material. It was squeaky clean and beautifully decorated. The log burner was perfection for a cosy night in. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We’ll definitely be back! X

Lovely relaxing cottage with everything we needed. Very cosy and relaxing setting with great views from back windows. Enclosed garden for dog or children. Hot tub was a great perk which was well used by us. Rillington village within 10 min walk which had a small shop and a nice pub ( the fleece). Tips for other travellers The fleece in rillington has a nice garden of weather nice and the food was nice too and dog friendly Ham and cheese which is a 5 minute drive the food was very good and dog friendly too although probably too far to walk Lots of walks nearby, we went to dalby Forrest, mallyham spout in goathland and Levisham near Pickering New Connie’s Chinese in malton was also very good

Bob was a wonderful host that went above and beyond to make our stay as great as possible! Wonderful location, beautiful surroundings and plenty of space for peace and quiet.
