Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Runaway Bay

I would rate this place a 9.5 out of 10. It felt very homey and was clean, just like the pictures. We did encounter an issue at the security gate, but it was quickly resolved. The hosts, Sidric and Camille, were very responsive. I would definitely recommend this place.

Check in was seamless. The space was absolutely beautiful, clean and felt like home. Everything was as listed. We particularly fell in love with the outside space and the gorgeous views. The host was responsive and he checked in on us every morning to ensure we were ok and that everything was up to par. The added bonus of the beach access that came with our booking made it even better. Would recommend everyone to book this home. 10000000/10. We will definitely be back.

Truly a stunning home! You will not be disappointed booking this villa. The home looks and feels luxurious. Key amenities include high-quality bedding, plush bath towels, and thoughtful lighting. You will appreciate every detail of the design and decor. Wayne and Mark were amazing hosts. They were always available anytime I had a question. Mark even offered to cook a traditional Jamaican dinner for my mom and I which was delicious! As for local attractions, you have Galina Lighthouse, White River, Duns River Falls, Dolphin Cove, and Mystic Mountain. I didn’t drive but it was very easy to get a taxi from the main road which is a short walk from the villa. Look for red plates to identify a taxi. It is also very easy to uber or “charter a taxi”and they will pick you up/ drop you off right at the gate to the villa. This will not be my last stay at OD’s Oasis.

From initial contact to booking to enjoying an amazing experience, host Bryan and chef Roshelle did a great job of meeting our needs and wants. The accommodations were pristine both inside and outdoors and my group will definitely be back.

Antoinette’s place was a little piece of heaven on earth. It was spotless and so welcoming with fresh scents and special snacks waiting. Our favourite spot was the gazebo where we spent every evening listening to the sounds of the neighbourhood and every morning watching the hummingbirds. Browns Town itself, though intimidating at first with its noise and busyness, quickly became just as welcoming with many people stopping to chat with us during every visit to town. El Castilito is far from the crowds of tourists but close enough that we could easily go to the beach every day. Definitely recommend for any adventure seekers out there. If, however, you are a light sleeper I would definitely recommend earplugs, as you are in the middle of a community and there will sometimes be music and dogs barking throughout the night. We can’t wait to return when we are back this way!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Reina Del Mar. Just as described and even better. The home was equip with everything a person could need or want. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

From check-in to check-out, Andrea was just a message away, super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. She even stayed awake until my friends and I arrive just to ensure we were able to check in without issues and we got there safely. Her property looks exactly like the pictures, but honestly, it’s even better in person. My friends and I had some of the best sleep ever thanks to the incredibly comfortable beds! Andrea also went above and beyond by sourcing a few games I needed that weren’t originally listed. I would give her 5 stars for customer service alone! On top of that, a minor issue came up as we were checking out, and she handled it quickly and with a lot of understanding. I truly appreciated her kindness and professionalism. Would definitely stay here again!

Me and my fiancé had stayed with Stacy Ann, and we enjoyed every bit of it. She was very welcoming and the house. Needless to say we are very satisfied. We ended up booking another visit with her the next following week for the rest of our stay.

Amazing and affordable place to stay in Runaway Bay. The villa is right off of the main road, we had no trouble finding the place to check in. It is very easy to walk out to the road & get a local taxi for cheap transportation. The home is very close to numerous beaches and popular tourist attractions in the area, we very much enjoyed the ease of coming and going from the property. The home was clean and organized, and felt very secure with the locks on the gate + door code to get into our unit. The kitchen was well-equipped for the simple meals we prepared during our stay, and there is a large shared kitchen within the villa as well. The air conditioning worked great, and we also made use of the free laundry facilities on the property. The only thing that was inconsistent with the listing was hot water, as there was a solar heater installed at the time and therefore the hot water supply was very limited. However, the host informed us that an electric heater would soon be installed.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! Christina was communitive & helpful as we even locked ourselves out at night once. The little air conditioners were really nice at keeping us extra cool & the water definitely got to scalding hot, be careful with that haha. She wonderfully provided a cleaning halfway through our week stay. Beautiful view of the beach on the balcony, we sat out there quite a lot. Very convenient location which we were thankful for! Thank you for our stay & will definitely return coming back to Ocho Rios!

Let me start off by saying it’s a memorable moment visiting Jamaica and a 10 out of 10 experience staying at secret hideaway, really love staying there it’s private comfortable and welcoming .walking distance from everything, and if you can’t walk there’s a local taxi service that you can use .It’s always a wonderful experience thank you Ann-Kay for having me there!

The stay was as listed, and the host friendly and very responsive! I would recommend to anyone staying in Discovery Bay Area.

I visited JA for 3 months and lived in Erin’s and Dwayne’s Airbnb. It’s a cozy spot with all of the amenities you’ll need for a short or extended stay on the island. I cooked my own meals, when I wanted to, and lived comfortably while there. Dwayne always checked in on me and was very helpful with anything the property needed. If you are looking for a experience outside of the resort walls, this is a perfect place to do so. You’ll be fully immersed in the cultural vibrancy of the people and the food. You can take a short 5 minute walk to a large outdoor food market and then continue on to the famous Ocho Rios Craft Market. I wish more people visiting the island would come to support these places that directly benefit the local community. The town is buzzing with life and it’s palpable. I love hearing the sound of reggae music while walking around the town. Overall my experience was nothing short of amazing! Thank you Erin & Dwayne for your hospitality. I will definitely visit again!

I thought this was a spacious one bedroom apartment with modern fittings. Great 1st floor balcony with poolside view. Great value for money.

One of my favorite AirBnBs ever. I’m still obsessed with the way the windows allow you to sleep with the sea breeze blowing right over the bed. The whole place has screen doors too and I didn’t see a single insect in the place my entire one week stay (rare from the other upscale accommodations I saw in Jamaica). Absolutely magical view, with access to incredible reef swimming/snorkeling. 10/10 overall! Also Tasha was extremely communicative and helpful when I needed some help figuring stuff out.

The host is very understanding and transparent. Any issues or any miscommunications arises. She will always respond really quickly to work out any possible solutions. Also her place she listed was very pristine and comfortable. I highly recommend anyone to book her if you’re looking to stay within Ocho Rios. Lastly, she is quick at providing all of the instructions in order to make everything stress free and easy to manage.

Regna’s place was continently located right on the beginning edge of town. Shopping center across the street and easy walking to additional food and shopping. The facilities were amazing and very accommodating.

This was perfect for our family to stay a week - a clean and comfortable space to ourselves, fairly well-appointed, in a quiet development with a lovely pool and well-kept grounds. It’s a four-minute walk from a truly stunning beach. Hosts were super responsive and accommodating when we had minor issues. Beach towels were provided, and there were chairs set up on the beach for guests. We look forward to returning!

Michelle and Kerone were exceptional in their commitment and communication with me.The space is amazingly beautiful and it was so much better than I expected! I felt comfortable and connected with the people. The beach is right there, walkable beaches and activities. There is an excellent vibe going on down by pool side , food , fun , drinks, games etc. I highly recommend this place for those who want to come and visit!

My flight was really delayed so I missed the check in time. Though I was extremely frustrated, I communicated everything with Kayann and she was very responsive and made arrangements for me to be able to check in when I arrived. I was surprised that it was as pictured. Very quiet residential area. Very modern decor and it is laid out very nicely. The unit is upstairs and there is no elevator but I didn’t find it to be an issue, just a little workout when toting luggage lol. The location is perfect! I did all of the major tourist attractions, as well as I visited a few local bars etc. Everything was within a 10-20 minute drive. Kayann also gave really good suggestions about things to do and places to visit. I was a little nervous about there not being any blankets because there are ac units in the place, but I didn’t need the ac as it was fairly cool during my stay. I did however give the recommended to Kayann, and she was open to my suggestion. Overall a great stay!

We absolutely loved our time here and can’t wait to come back! The area was perfect—safe, peaceful, and full of charm. We had access to a stunning private gated beach where we spent so many beautiful moments. The beach area had everything we could ask for—great food, good music, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. The scenery was breathtaking, and every day felt like paradise. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added to the whole experience. They made us feel right at home and were always happy to help when we needed anything. Even after check-out, they kindly let us leave our luggage for a bit longer, which was a huge help. We had such a good time here—it’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, safe, and authentic Ocho Rios experience. We’ll definitely be back!
