Had such a lovely stay at Ashley & Simon's cottage. Me and my boyfriend felt right at home as soon as we got there and both hosts were so friendly from the get go. The decor was stunning and so homely - loved the artwork in the bedroom! Everything we needed was already equipped in the cottage. The bed was SUPER comfy and the hot tub was a great way to end our little week away 😍🛀 Would definitely stay here again if ever in Kelso! Highly recommend! ⭐️

we had a lovely restful stay at the cottage and would thoroughly recommend a stay here. The cottage was perfect and equipped very well. There was a large welcome hamper which was much appreciated. We made full use of the pool and hot tub and enjoyed a walk round the lakes. will certainly recommend. thankyou

Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

Amazing stay at Gatehouse Barn. It is a really lovely, homely, welcoming place to stay. Plenty of sleeping options downstairs and up and a cosy living space. Also loads of seating areas outside which were perfect to enjoy the sun. The area is really quiet and peaceful and the location of the barn is extra secluded and private. As a final bonus, the attached spa area was a real treat after long walks (loads of which can start literally from the front door).

Fabulous! We had 6 days at the Old Piggery and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts are brilliant and the accommodation equally brilliant too. Peaceful location, well kept gardens, lovely hot tub and there was everything we needed at the accommodation. The hosts also left us some lovely surprises/treats too. Very thoughtful! We enjoyed it so much we didn't want to come home and we will be back again in future. Thank you Sue and Phil!

We had an absolute wonderful two-night stay at this cottage! It's lovely, spotlessly clean, and incredibly well-equipped with everything you could need. The welcome gifts were a delightful surprise, and the hosts were so friendly and quick to respond to all our messages. The location is perfect, just a short few minutes drive to the beach. What truly stood out was their amazing hospitality: we accidentally left something behind, and they sent it to us via next-day delivery without hesitation. We can't recommend this place enough!

Spent 3 lovely peaceful days here! The place is spotless. Easy to check in, but quite a late one for standard check in times. Even with surrounding neighbours there was minimal disturbance.

Elaine greeted us as we parked up and was incredibly friendly and attentive right from the start. We really appreciated the thoughtful breakfast items she had left for us – such a lovely touch! I was staying in the area for a wedding, and her location was absolutely perfect. Would definitely recommend!

Comfortable, clean and tidy cottage in a beautiful location. Fantastic pub on the doorstep (book in advance it’s very popular). Easy access to coast or country. On arrival we found milk in the fridge and Prosecco on the side which provided a nice touch.

This was our second visit to Julie, It had lost none of its magic second time around.The accommodation is very clean and inviting,the outside space is lovely and relaxing...the views are stunning and all you can hear are the birds singing. We recommended staying here and will definitely be coming back in the future for a third visit. Thank you Julie for making us feel welcomed and for the tips on where to visit.

Our stay could not have been better. Although ephemeral to our visit the only thing that could have made our stay easier would have been the presence of a dishwasher. Of course this does not in any way detract from a property which has been set up perfectly by Victoria, for the enjoyment of her visitors. The sort of place you would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone interested in visiting this fascinating area on the Cumbrian/Northumberland border.

I cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous cottage. It is the cleanest Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in and smelled incredible. Diane has thought of everything you could need including a very handy umbrella. She responded so quickly answering all of our questions. The location is great for exploring all the nearby sites. Just returned home from a lovely stay in the amazing Bartlehill Cottage. Absolutely spotlessly clean and even nicer than the photos. The garden is beautiful and the woodland walk was perfect for our lively terriers! The cottage is so well equipped and lots of thought has been given to supplying pretty much everything you may need. Furnishings and bedding are super quality and very comfortable. Lowri is the most perfect host, helpful and very responsive to messages. It was our first visit to Northumberland and the Scottish Borders and we'll definitely be returning to Bartlehill to do some more exploring!

Susan was really quick to reply to our messages, when we got there it was raining heavily and she came out with an umbrella for us, bless her ! location and cottage was lovely, really cosy and clean

Perfect cottage for our stay and we had everything we needed. Lovely big, main bedroom and plenty of hot water. Back garden secure and ideal for us with our dog. Really enjoyed the visit and can fully recommend to others.

We had a lovely stay at Elyvale. The location is the perfect place to stay whilst visiting Rothbury & the surrounding areas. Such a peaceful place with all the local amenities a short stroll away. The cottage is full of character and was spotlessly clean, and has all you need for your stay. Claire Is a friendly and helpful host with Excellent communication throughout. The little extras supplied such as bread, milk & biscuits was very nice. We plan to visit the area again in the future & would definitely book Elyvale cottage again. Highly Recommend this gem of a cottage. Thank you Claire.

Beautiful cottage, everything you could possibly need provided including a lovely basket of breakfast supplies plus biscuits. It is very well looked after,comfortable and peaceful. Patricia was very friendly and helpful, she answers emails very quickly. There are plenty of restaurants not far away in Alnwick and Morpeth and lovely pubs locally.

We cannot reccomend a stay at capheaton estate highly enough. A beautiful cottage, with comfortable and luxurious finishing touches in incredibly peaceful surroundings, responsive and helpful hosts. Such a wonderful place to relax, away from the busy world, but close to some great pubs and within reach of key attractions. Would happily stay again.

Very warm welcome from Graham & Jackie, with helpful advice on places to visit and where to shop for groceries, etc. The Coach House had all we needed for the week, with great accommodation and spacious areas outside with great views across to the Cheviot Hills. Small but very functional kitchen and bathroom, which made great use of the available space. We would certainly enjoy another future visit here!

This was our second visit to Sarah’s place and it was equally as wonderful as the first. The accommodation was immaculately clean and provided everything needed for an extremely comfortable stay. Sarah’s place is an ideal base to explore this area of Northumberland and Sarah provided an extensive information guide of places to visit and dining suggestions throughout the local area. We cannot recommend more highly and definitely hope to return in the future.

We had a lovely stay at thorneyhaugh farm, we stayed in Ash cottage and it was beautifully presented and furnished to a very high standard with very comfortable bedrooms , living room, kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom and shower were particularly great, with a powerful shower to help you relax and wash away the dirt and sand after the long days walking and sight seeing. The farm is set in a picturesque environment and we saw lots of wildlife around the local area. We hope to return again. Thanks Gillian and Mick for a lovely stay.

First time booking with Airbnb - great experience. Thanks Janet for all the help & info on the run up to our trip. On our arrival we met Joyce, the lady who keeps the house clean and pristine and what a job she does - house was immaculate! Puddleduck Cottage is just off the main thoroughfare but is so quiet you wouldn’t think you were in the centre of the town. All attractions & amenities are within easy walking distance. House itself is beautiful, cosy and well equipped with everything you will need for your stay. Sitting room has an amazing log burner which we did use. Patio area at the back is very private, an ideal place to sit and chill. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Bedrooms are lovely, with extremely comfortable beds. . Thanks Janet for the Welcome Pack – wine, juice and chocolate chip cookies – lovely gesture and much appreciated. I highly recommend Puddleduck Cottage, it’s a beautiful house in an idyllic place. I will definitely be returning.
