Family-friendly holiday rentals in Romsdal

We recently stayed at Terje’s charming farmhouse in Norway’s Hjørundfjord, and it was a special experience. The farmhouse blends old-world charm with modern amenities and offers breathtaking views of the fjord. The house is equipped with all modern comforts, including a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a big-screen smart TV, an outdoor hot tub, and comfortable beds to accommodate a large group. Two ferry ports a short drive from the farmhouse offer free rides to Ålesund, the roadless village of Trandal, and other destinations. Terje was exceptionally hospitable, providing great recommendations for local hiking activities and promptly responding to all our inquiries. He went above and beyond to make our stay at the farmhouse exceptional. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

Wir fahren seit mehreren Jahren zu Christian nach Hitra. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und hat eine top Lage mit Blick auf die Schären. Die Umgebung ist toll für Spaziergänge, die Natur ist umwerfend. Wer aufs Meer hinaus möchte, kann von Christian ein Motorboot mieten. Das Boot ist aus Aluminium und hat einen 130 PS Außenborder, der es ermöglicht schnell dorthin zu gelangen, wo man hinmöchte. Wenn wir eine Frage oder ein Problem haben, reagiert Christian immer extrem schnell und hilft uns sofort. Wir haben uns bisher sehr wohl hier gefühlt und waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal hier...

Had a lovely stay at this cabin! Beautiful location with so stunning views all around. The cabin was clean and cozy, everything was as described. A lovely warm shower after a rainy day was perfect! Friendly and fast replies from the host Anita. Highly recommend!

Drømmeplassen ist eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft, die mit ihrem einzigartigen Charme und ihrer gemütlichen Atmosphäre beeindruckt. Die Lage ist idyllisch und bietet eine perfekte Mischung aus Ruhe und Naturverbundenheit. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die einzigartige Aussicht direkt auf naturbelassene Umgebung, den Ozean, sowie die Tiere die dort zu beobachten sind. Die Sauberkeit und die Ausstattung der Unterkunft tragen zusätzlich dazu bei, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Wer auf der Suche nach einem unvergesslichen Aufenthalt ist, wird Drømmeplassen lieben!

We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon - everything from useful hiking suggestions, quick to bring us anything we needed, to a magical hotpot experience! We couldn't have asked for more out of our stay of from Venise and Gaby. The location was perfect for accessing the less known hiking spots but still with those spectacular views, as well as being close to the ferry so it was easy to hop over to Volda. It was peaceful and we loved the views over the water, and we made good use of the fireplace for cozy evenings. Don't be put off by the road near by, there is very infrequent cars so you hardly hear anything at all!

Die Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich, ruhig und abgelegen, so, wie wir uns es vorgestellt haben. Die Ausstattung war super und es war alles da, was man brauchte. Ein riesen Vorteil war die Ladestation für E-Autos. Bottolf war ein sehr guter Gastgeber und hat uns noch ein paar Tipps für Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung gegeben. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

房源地理位置优越，很可惜，我们只住了一晚，没有来得及好好观赏周边的风景，与房东沟通通畅，当我们遇到困难，立即委派其弟弟前来帮助解决。

Gehele beneden verdieping tot je beschikking. Ruimte bevat een grote keuken met koelkast (diepvries staat in een losse ruimte en konden we ook gebruiken), oven, fornuis, magnetron en vaadwasser. Daarnaast 2 aparte slaapkamers, losse badkamer en een heerlijk balkon met zon. De buitenruimte om het huis heen is echt heerlijk. Alle rust en ruimte die je maar kunt wensen. Onze hond mocht mee en heeft zich prima vermaakt en lekker kunnen rennen over de velden. In de buurt zijn wat leuke hikes te doen, mooie uitzichten maar wel steil natuurlijk. De ferry over het fjord is bereikbaar binnen 10 minuten, ideaal dus. Absoluut een aanrader om hier te verblijven als je van rust en ruimte houdt.

Hadde skjedd en dobbeltbooking, så vi fikk avslag i pris, og alternativ bolig. Det ble løst smidig og godt for vår del, med god informasjon. Kjempehyggelig, fleksibel og hjelpsom vert, opptatt av å legge til rette for oss. Kommer gjerne tilbake, og anbefaler gjerne til andre å leie av denne verten😊

We loved staying here! The house was the perfect size and so cozy. The view was amazing and the proximity to hikes and Runde island to see the puffins were perfect. Check in was easy and the host is very responsive and helpful. It had everything you needed and felt like being at home, If home was overlooking a fjord and mountains! Would definitely stay here again I absolutely loved it!

Die Unterkunft von Ingrid in Vågå liegt in wunderschöner Umgebung und ist gemütlich eingerichtet – es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht, sogar eine Waschmaschine. Ein besonderes Highlight war der Ausblick direkt aus dem Fenster: Von dort konnten wir die Schafe auf der Weide beobachten – manchmal liefen sie sogar gemütlich über den Hof :D Ingrid und ihre Eltern waren ausgesprochen herzlich und sympathisch. Sie haben uns mit tollen Empfehlungen zur Umgebung versorgt. Ein weiteres Highlight war das typisch norwegische Frühstück mit selbst gebackenem Brot. Insgesamt eine wunderbare Unterkunft mit persönlicher Note, die wir sehr gerne weiterempfehlen.

This place was perfect for our needs. Group of six. Came in for one night. Able to make a great dinner the kitchen. Great nights sleep. Easy access to the via feratta. Would stay agin! Great place.

Wir waren überrascht statt eine kleine Wohnung, ein ganzes Haus für uns zu haben! Die Familie Heen hat uns sehr nett empfangen und wir haben die Lage auf dem Hof genossen!

Everything was great, and we'd definitely stay there again. We stayed there for three nights. It's pretty spacious, with three separate bedrooms, and the host was always on hand and responsive. The cabin was clean, close to the road, had a charging station for the car, and a really nice jacuzzi with an awesome view—don't miss this one. You can also enjoy fishing and hiking at nearby spots.

U Larse ve fjordu jsme strávili krásných 8 dní. Všechno bylo skvěle. Vhodné pro rybáře, milovníky výletů i na odpočinek. Rádi se sem budeme vracet! ❤️

Vi har oppholdt oss på big fjordviow apartment og vi var 10 personer. Vi hadde veldig mye plass og alt i leiligheten var perfekt. Erik var veldig hyggelig og han sørget for at vi skulle ha veldig bra. Vi spiste mye fisk og koste oss med bassenget og jacuzien. Alt var perfekt. Vi er alle sammen fornøyde.

it was a wonderful trip. victoria and his family were so kind. and the location was great front of the river . we rented a boat and we hunted a lot of fish. and the father Mr.erick was so kind and answered for all our questions. we were a little bit noisy ;-) but he gave us a lot of fishing tools for free. thank you so much I hope to visit you again in the future. كانت رحلة رائعه فيكتوريا وعائلتها كانو رائعين . الموقع رائع بجانب البحيره استاجرنا قارب من العائلة وصدنا الكثير من الاسماك السيد ايريك كان متجاوبا ويجيب بصدر رحب. كنا مزعجين قليلا ولكن اعطانا الكثير من ادوات الصيد مجانا شكرا لكم ونتمنى ان نزوركم مره اخرى في المستقبل

Beautiful location and nice and helpfull hosts! Family friendly with all the amenities you need to have a comfortable stay. We rented the smalest appartment, but it was definitly more than enough space for all 4 of us. I highly recommend this place, 10/10 in my book! Thanks for a great stay 😊
