Lovely village house, East Pyrenees

This quaint village house is located high up in the pretty hillside village of Rodes. Rodes rests in the Languedoc Roussillon/Pyrenees-Orientales region of France where Mount Canigou dominates the skyline. A 30 minute drive takes you to Perpignan and the stunning Mediterranean coast. The house has breath taking views of Mount Canigou from the rooftop terrace and can comfortably sleep up to 4 persons. It has a private garage, free WIFI and two bikes available for guests to use. On the ground floor is the walk through garage and a utility area with a washing machine. The two bedrooms are on the first floor. The 2nd floor offers open plan living with a fully equipped kitchen and an area for relaxing and eating. From here you access the sunny outdoor terrace and the mezzanine bathroom. The house and the area are perfect for a relaxing get away from it all holiday. Nearby is a village shop and easy access to the main road between Perpignan and Andorra. The village of Vinca is within walking distance and you can swim, relax and sunbathe on the shores of the crystal clear lake. Maison Mimosa is located in an exceptionally picturesque area ideal for walking and mountain biking as well as a visit to the world reknowned hot springs at Thomas Les Bains. During the winter season, the nearest slopes are just a 45 minute drive away. The 50 euros rate per night is negotiable dependent on number of guests, number if nights booked and the season. Beautiful traditional mountain house of more than 100m2 in stone and completely renovated in 2020/2021. Perched at 1400m and facing south with a large garden full of flowers and a breathtaking view of the Têt valley, the Canigou and facing the Carança massifs . Fauna is omnipresent and easy to observe and many hiking and mountain biking trails start directly from the house. Llar enjoys a Mediterranean climate and is located halfway between the high Pyrenees and the sea.

Located near a charming little village very sunny, on the road to Andorra, this air-conditioned cottage offers direct access to many hiking trails, while being 1 hour from the high mountain and 1 hour from the sea. For a few days or just one night the farm welcomes you. The lac de vinça is very close. We signal that the access is an unpaved path (800m) with a ford to cross ( the ford is currently dry). Magnificent discovery that this little gem in Rodès, a Catalan village on the mountainside. The apartment has character, the bathroom and kitchen are modern, and the terrace accessible from the inside with breathtaking views of the Canigou massif is spectacular. We spent a long fabulous weekend in the area, which is full of places to visit within a 20 km radius. We highly recommend Guy's cottage: you won't regret it.

Stunning views and a perfect getaway in a very private location - we didn’t really see anyone the whole time we were there. Lots of seating options to chase the sun around the garden (goes around 5pm). Only complaint is that a few more kitchen utensils would be useful (for BBQ etc!). Thanks for a lovely stay x

The days at Claude's were wonderful. The house is beautiful, just as it looks in the photos and even better🙂, and is surrounded by spectacular views. Eating out in the sun and seeing the stars at night is so cute. The village is beautiful too. We went to spend Holy Week with our kittens and felt right at home (and so did they) Claude 100/10. Super friendly!! He always had good communication with us and was very responsive. We definitely hope to return.
