Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Rockford

We LOVED this Airbnb! Everything was perfect for our "Mom's get-away trip"! The house was immaculate & had a great floorplan. The kitchen was even bigger & nicer than the pictures looked & fully stocked with everything you would need. The groundskeeper came immediately & got the water toys ready. We met neighbors across the lake & even hung out at their house the 1st evening! Everyone was super friendly. Roger was on it! Very responsive & easy to work with. 10/10 all around!!! Even left us beautiful flowers on our arrival! The lake was beautiful. The only negative was we weren't there long enough. Definitely went too fast! We hope to return again in the coming years!!! ❤️

The place was as described and posted. It was clean spacious and comfy. The host was responsive and kind. I would recommend staying here. It was minutes away from town where you could visit a walmart super center, costco malls and even fun businesses like bowling. The area was quiet and peaceful and away from the main city. The drive to the main city was about an hour but that was the only downside.

This home is beautiful and cozy, felt right at home. Host is AMAZING! She provided us with recommendations on the area, very responsive, and easy check-in and checkout. Thank you again, we can't wait to visit again!

Stanton’s place was quiet and peaceful. We felt very safe there. There was plenty of space for the four of us. The house was very clean. We enjoyed the Keurig coffee both mornings. We would gladly stay there again if in the area.

We had an amazing family vacation! The home is in a quiet neighborhood but surrounded by nature. We loved taking the kayaks out each day—it was so peaceful. The park next door was perfect: beach volleyball for the adults and a playground for the kids. The basement game setup was a huge hit on arrival, but the real favorite was fishing right from the backyard—our kids caught both big and small fish for the first time! Stephanie was extremely responsive and helpful. We had a few small hiccups (like a tripped kitchen fuse and some goose mess on the patio), and she handled everything quickly and kindly. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Such a beautiful & peaceful property. Looks just like the photos. Very clean & comfortable. We came from San Antonio, TX to spend time with family in the local area and it was just a perfect get-away from the hustle & bustle of city life where we live. No traffic or congested roadways, no construction, etc. The river is great, the property grounds are great and the kids really enjoyed the zipline in the yard. Elizabeth was very proactive with her communication and instructions for check-in & check-out and just a very good host. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were all super comfy. I mean, I don't have any complaints at all. We will absolutely be back the next time we come visit our family up this way. I highly recommend this property you won't be disappointed. Life just slows down a bit out here on this property and it was exactly what we hoped it would be.

Lori's place was absolutely fantastic! It was so cozy and I loved staying in as much as I did going out. Lori's check in and check out was an introverts dream but Lori was responsive and just a text away if I needed anything. I absolutely would stay here again!

Nice little place in the perfect location for downtown Sycamore. Easy walk to anywhere downtown. Steps from multiple bars. Easy to follow directions from hosts to find the parking spot and the apartment. The lack of any hotels near downtown makes this place a good value based on supply and demand.

The space was spotless! Furnishings were comfortable. High quality bedding and towels, including very thoughtful amenities. The host was friendly, proactive in providing all needed information and responsive to questions. Will be booking again when traveling to this area.

Julie was an excellent host. The apartment was beautifully decorated, showcasing her great taste in decor. It was perfect for my solo weekend getaway. Great spot! The condo was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Mandy’s detailed directions and instructions made checking in a breeze. Our group of four had a fantastic time.

Joan's daughter, Rebekah, communicated directly with me through the Airbnb app. She provided detailed check-in instructions, a phone number to contact her, etc. It seems Rebekah lives in Hawaii so please keep note of that for response times, etc. The house was comfortable, very clean, and well-appointed. Joan and Rebekah have a beautiful collection of original art, artifacts, etc. so please keep that in mind if you are bringing small children to the home. Please note that the 1st floor bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom; and the lower level has 2 twin beds in the open area, 1 full bed and 1 twin bed in the first bedroom, and 1 full bed and 1 futon in the second bedroom (including a full laundry and utility room in a closed room).

Dianna was so sweet and responsive. The Airbnb was clean and welcoming. It was the perfect location to be far enough out of the city to be quiet and private, but close enough for anything you want or need!

This place was absolutely perfect for a wedding in the area. It’s close to the action and the breakfast at Abbey Springs was delicious. Beds are comfy, couches are even comfier, and the screened porch allowed for peaceful vibes on an early fall weekend. Nancy and Fred’s accommodations were perfect and I can’t thank them enough!
