Holiday rentals with lake access in River Severn

A great venue for a family get together. Lots of activities for young and older kids! A well equipped kitchen made food preparation easy. We all had a good time

Carthorse Barn is just simply stunning ! So spacious and beautifully decorated, we felt right at home . The day we arrived weather was not the greatest so having a wood stove was blissful. The cottage is very spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay , kitchen is fully equipped, downstairs toilet a welcomed bonus. Upstairs both bedrooms are immaculate, spacious and have very comfy beds . I loved the window bench in the kids bedroom, such a wonderful nook to relax. The main bedroom has the biggest and comfiest bed I have ever seen , such a beautiful wooden headboard too. I loved the free standing bath. The farm is also lovely and we enjoyed going to see the pigs and walking round the lakes.

We had a great weekend staying at Andy & Anne’s lakeside lodge. The accommodation was stylist, spotless, comfortable & homely & had everything we needed. As the weather was so amazing we sat out most of the time, overlooking the beautiful lakeside views. I would certainly recommend a stay here.

We had a very enjoyable stay with the family for a major birthday celebration. The accommodation and location are really lovely. The kayaks with life jackets were available. We had a few minor cleanliness issues which couldn't be resolved during our stay but we did receive modest compensation. One observation; the ladder style steps up to the mezzanine are very steep and not suitable for young children on their own and the beds up there are too small for fully grown adults or tall teenagers!. This is not addressed in the spec of the accommodation. We ate at a local restaurant, The Crown at Ampney Brook. Food and service exemplary.

Only a one night stay but was a very peaceful and cosy night. Everything was immaculate when we arrived. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The grounds on which we stayed were gorgeous and very nice to walk around. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely light house in a great lakeside location. There is a good sized gas BBQ on the terrace which was perfect for feeding our large family gathering. There was one minor issue which the owners resolved rapidly. We would definitely stay again.

Mark is a very kind and attentive host, great communication. I would love to go back again. Highly recommend to any one wants to have a chill holiday by the lake. Lots to do !! :)

I had an amazing experience staying at this Airbnb! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The bed was super cozy, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable — perfect for both relaxing and getting a bit of work done. The location was ideal — close to [mention local attractions, restaurants, or transport if applicable], but still peaceful and quiet. It felt like a true home away from home. Really cosy, comfortable lovely barn, set amongst picturesque lakes and commutable to lots of gorgeous towns.

Lovely stay at Willow Warbler. The estate is beautiful & maintained to a high standard. Very peaceful. The apartment had everything we needed including extra touches like milk, travel cot, washing machine & dishwasher tablets, plenty of cooking equipment, tea bags, oil for cooking etc. There is a nice restaurant & pool on site. We didn’t use the gym as the opening hours weren’t early enough (10-5 so we were out for the day). We travelled with a 9 month old but there looked to be lots of things for older children such as soft play, water sports & play ground. Lots of bird watching to be done. Jane was very good at communicating with us & checking everything was ok. We used the apartment as a base to go out for the day such as to Oxford & Bourton but the apartment is very comfortable if you prefer chilling. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet relaxed break.

Geoff is a great host, very helpful and responsive. The flat is very cozy, clean, has comfortable beds and a beautiful view. Loved our stay.

A perfect short-stay getaway with dreamy views across the water. The lounge and bedroom overlook the sea making it the perfect place to wake with coffee and watch the sunrise. The flat is well equipped. We cooked amazing local produce from the excellent butcher and greengrocer during our stay. The shower was a great way to relax after a long day exploring Penarth and the surrounding area. It's about a 10 - 15 minute walk into the town centre through a beautiful and peaceful park and Cardiff is a short train, bus or taxi ride away! Initially we were concerned that the flat might smell of fish and chips because of the takeaway below, but it doesn't. We can heartily recommend them - especially if you have food allergies and they also cater for vegans. Similarly the ice cream parlour on the pier were able to cater for celiacs and vegans. The customer service team were highly responsive. We would love to stay again if we attend events in the local area. BeachCliff is amazing

A very pleasant and private apartment, set in some beautiful, peaceful and tranquil grounds. I was lucky enough to be there over a couple of sunny and warm days in June which made pottering around the gardens even more enjoyable. Oh, forgot to mention the homemade jams and cakes...

WOW!!!! Would highly recommend to anyone. And we will 100% return… Such a beautiful cottage with beautiful views. John was super helpful and we couldn’t ask for more from a host. Everything was perfect. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. And we found the neighbours very friendly also. Really looking forward to returning in the near future. Quintessential Welesh countryside home. Ideal spot to commute around Wales. Would thoroughly recommend for medium sized groups. Lots to explore around here home as well + convenient BBQing

We had a very relaxing two night stay - Woody Nook is very well equipped very clean and tidy really spacious for the two of us - Really liked the layout of the cottage - Andrea was very quick to respond to our message and very helpful - Great place to stay lots to see in the area and lovely walks

The cottage was a great place to stay in a beautiful rural location. Katy was very helpful and responsive. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking to explore the Abergavenny/Monmouthshire area or looking to explore the Brecon Beacons.

We visited with family for a birthday celebration and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cider Mill. It is the perfect venue for a large gathering and Harad was super helpful throughout. Would highly recommend

Outstanding cosy cottage. For us, being older, the bathroom being downstairs was a bit of a problem at night. Lovely balcony with great views. Easy parking. Liked it a lot. Would go again.

This was our first getaway since the arrival of our baby girl and we couldn’t have picked a better place and host. Clare was super friendly and responsive and proactively checked a number of things to make sure we had all the amenities necessary for our baby. The place itself is really peaceful and well equipped with all the amenities you need for a self-catered getaway. We loved our evenings on the patio and the surroundings are stunning. Would 100% recommend and come back if we are in the area again!
