Holiday rentals with a pool in River Dyfi

We spent a fabulous couple of days at The Forge. The place is as described - very comfortable and fully equipped for an escape to the countryside. We loved the thoughtful welcome basket of goodies too. Set in extensive grounds and with plenty of local walking, it was a chance to completely unwind and relax. A big thank you to Mel, the property manager, who provided full and clear information and was friendly and responsive to our queries.

Totally exceeded our expectations! Janine is very, very helpful and quick to respond. The views are stunning. The place is better than the photos. It is so spacious and well equipped. Plus there is lots to do. We had two toddlers with us and they were never bored. Highly, highly recommend a stay here. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Such a lovely place to stay. We only booked for two nights and wish we had been there for longer. Lots of really interesting features (a suit of armour! A harp!) in a well stocked house. Very comfortable beds and sofas, beautiful views (we especially enjoyed all the bird nesting in the eaves), gorgeous interior, starry Dark Skies and nice hosts - what's not to love? Great parking. Wish we could have had a few more nights, to check out the pub just down the road.

We LOVED our stay here! The home is fabulous, so many spacious rooms to explore, each one decorated in a great way. The outdoor space is amazing, and was such a highlight of our stay, from the stunning countryside views, the lush pool, the immaculate sauna out building (a hot tub on the balcony or outside would be a cherry on top of a delicious cake). We also loved that the house was so well stocked in the kitchen and cupboards throughout the house, which made it easier and more enjoyable to just chill at the house. Everyone said that they're beds were super comfy too. The neighbours were very welcoming and helpful too, it was a lovely start to our stay meeting Les! It was easy to communicate with the host, and they messaged us 24 hours before check out to let us know we could check out later which was fab. Would definitely recommend staying here with a big group, plenty of space for everyone with a fab social dining table. Diolch yn fawr

Wow……one of the best places we’ve ever stayed in!! Beautiful lodge that was immaculately clean, lovely kitchen to cook in and the outside decking area was perfect to sit out and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We saw dozens of Red Kites throughout our stay which was a real treat as we’re big nature enthusiasts! We loved it so much that we’re heading back in just under 4 weeks time for 6 nights 😎 a real gem of a find, the golf club was very welcoming and the food was lovely! Really cannot rate this beautiful place highly enough!! Looking forward to the next one already!!

Absolutely loved our stay. Clean and had everything we needed. Check in easy and friendly. Large parking area, and pool for swimming if the weather is on your side. Views from the cottage fantastic on a clear day. Great location for access to Snowdon and lovely scenic towns to visit. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful property. The house is huge—we joked that we probably wouldn’t use all of the rooms—but we did. The whole experience felt luxurious—seriously, a pool? We had trouble with the sauna—better directions would be helpful—but the issue was addressed speedily. And I don’t know why people complain about the lumber yard; we noticed nothing. Hats off to Phoebe and Jan!

This is the second time staying at this utter paradise near Capel Iwan. Chris and his wife are amazing hosts - the property is one of the best places we have ever stayed - peaceful, idyllic, heavenly - there are not enough words to describe this absolute gem. From the BBQ hut, to the hot tub, pool and beautiful private meadow - Chris' mill house is just perfect. My family, including our two pups, were warmly welcomed. The apartment is clean and has everything you need for your stay. The hot tub and pool are great, and the real star of the show is the BBQ hut for those lovely evenings in their sun trap of a garden. What to say about The Mill, it’s stunning! You feel instantly at ease as you approach the Mill and continue to feel that way for the duration of the stay. Chris met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the facilities and gave us so many recommendations for things to do. Even when we were out, Chris was responsive to messages for more recommendations. The apartment was cosy and warm with all facilities we needed. We all loved the hot tub and the kids loved the swim spa. The indoor bbq is so charming and a lovely way to spend an evening. The daily booking system seems to work well, with guests respectful to let everyone have a turn. We have already recommended the Mill to friends and would not hesitate to come back.

Perfect place to stay. Host was very attentive in messages but not intrusive. Everything you could need . Even things like a bath mat, hand wash & door hooks in the bathroom...not in a lot of places I can assure you! Lovely treats left for us, plus coffee & tea. Toilet roll, hairdryer, straighteners, everything you could think of!Even an air fryer, which was very useful. A quiet park in a beautiful area. Very handy for surrounding places. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone & happily stay again. 10 out of 10 🙂

The place is beautiful, felt like dream home. Chris is very nice, guiding us nice places to go around & eat. My kids enjoyed the hot tub. Chris is easy sharing and he has tons of information about Wales. Thanks for all the help, Chris !! We'll definitely visit again.

Great location and facilities. The cottage was perfect for our needs with 3 adults and 7 children. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to the workshop. And the private hot tub was a great bonus!! Would definitely like to visit again!!
