Stay with the Horses!

Western rustic 3 bedroom, 2+ bathroom home on a working horse ranch. Near Hwy 395 at the base of the Sierras. The views are incredible. The fresh air even better. Each room has it’s own AC unit for our guests’ comfort. Private entrance. A bunk room can accommodate additional guests for an additional fee. Horseback riding lessons are available, contact host for additional information. If you are bringing your pets, please send a message inquiring about additional deposit and nightly fee.

This is a wonderful High Desert central location to visit Death Valley, the High Sierras (Mt Whitney portal) , and the Sequoias. And, of course, charming mountain towns along the way! I used David's place as a base for a day trip into Death Valley. It is a bit far, bit still very much doable. I met David on the evening of my arrival, and he is a very helpfull and friendly person. The place itself is clean and comfortable to stay in and the kitchen is well equipped. Overall there is nothing to complain about and I can fully recommend a stay here. A little sidenote, on the morning of me leaving, a friendly cat chilled in the backyard and was happy to be petted.

Cassie's place was great, we mainly communicated with John, who was very responsive. Our company rented their place for 3 months while working on a project site, so it was really nice to have a home for the guys to come back to. Any issues that did arise during the stay was communicated and addressed quickly. Thank you John and Cassie for being such great hosts!
