Villa holiday rentals in Ribeira Brava

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly like the description in every way and it often exceeded expectations. Spotlessly clean and amazing views out to sea. I would book again.

We had a great stay at Villa de Carmina. Everything was perfect. The house has all the features necessary for the success of our family vacation. The pool is a real asset. Thanks to Carmina for the breakfast on arrival.

Luna helped us to arrive in the middle of the night, which was fantastic! We even got a small snack that we don't have to go to sleep hungry. The kitchen and terrace are lovingly furnished, so you feel really comfortable. We had nice neighbors who we met at breakfast. In the evening we could easily walk into town. We are glad that we were able to start our Madeira vacation in this cozy place.

We were fully satisfied with our stay. The accommodation was exclusive, very nicely furnished and exactly as described. Sonia is particularly noteworthy, she was always helpful, friendly and always available. We felt completely comfortable. A small minus point was the many mosquitoes at night, which clouded the stay a bit. Perhaps mosquito nets or other protective measures could help. Nevertheless, we would absolutely recommend the accommodation and would be happy to come back.

We had a fantastic time on the island. In addition to the nature that makes Madeira so fascinating, we were also able to spend some very relaxing days in our accommodation. Everything was just like in the pictures, so we could start our vacation with a great feeling. The accommodation was modern, clean and very luxurious with a pool and the number of rooms, each with its own bathroom. And who wouldn't want to wake up with a view of the sea? Wonderful. Henrique was also easy to contact if we had any questions and check-in with the key box was very simple. There is a small supermarket in this small town if you need anything. Otherwise, Calheta is not far away with larger shopping facilities. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the accommodation, although the accommodation with its large kitchen and outdoor grill is of course also perfect for a meal. Thank you for a wonderful time in Madeira, we'd love to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The view and surroundings are amazing. The house itself is very spacious and accomodating. The host is very communicative and helpful. He provided information about the area and checked in on us regularly. We felt really well taken care of. Thank you for being such a great host!

The view from the garden was really beautiful. The cottage is so close to the sea that you could hear the surf in your bedroom. Otherwise it was incredibly quiet. A lovely swimming pool and garden with various seats and also sunbeds so you could always choose where you wanted to sit. There was even a BBQ!

We spent four wonderful nights in Madalena do Mar and the experience couldn't have been better. The village is charming, quiet and perfect for disconnecting, with stunning sea views and sunsets that seem like a postcard. The accommodation exceeded our expectations: clean, comfortable and with all the details well thought out to make you feel at home. We loved waking up every morning to the sound of the sea in the background and enjoying breakfast on the terrace overlooking the banana plantations and the Atlantic. The location is ideal for exploring the island: close to Calheta, Ponta do Sol and other points of interest, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy peace and nature. In addition, the locals were incredibly kind and hospitable. You can feel the warmth of Madeira's people. In short, it was a perfect getaway. We would recommend this area (and this accommodation) without hesitation, and we hope to return very soon.

We absolutely loved our stay in Madeira! The property was incredibly clean—honestly one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. Everything was spotless and so well maintained. The welcome gifts were such a thoughtful touch—local produce that gave us a warm introduction to the island. The house had everything we needed, from great coffee to handy extras like Tupperware, which made day trips really convenient. The sunsets from the property were absolutely stunning—something we looked forward to every evening. The location was great for accessing shops and restaurants nearby, but we’d definitely recommend having a car to explore more of the island comfortably. All in all, a fantastic stay. We’d return in a heartbeat!

The property easily lives up to the description and the pictures. The houses are fully equipped, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools offer stunning unobstructed views of the ocean during the day and of the sky at night. There are no road noises, the place is truly calm. Grocery stores are a few minutes away by car, as are restaurants. Numerous hikes can be found in the region. The host is very reactive and will provide many recommandations related to restaurants and activities. Renting both houses to two families is a great way to spend time together while also having some privacy. I would go back there without any hesitation.

The house is extremely well located, in a quiet area with a stunning sea view. It is the ideal place to rest and enjoy the scenery. The house is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and worry-free stay. It was a great experience — I highly recommend it!

We stayed at Patricia’s villa for 9 days and had a great time. The view overlooking the ocean with the infinity pool was beautiful! We loved waking up to this gorgeous view each morning. It was also a plus that we had the use of house cleaners that came during our stay to make the place extra tidy after we stayed halfway through! All the balcony’s outside connected and lead directly to the downstairs pool. There’s also a “secret” access to the bottom of the cliff which was very cool! Everything was perfect! All in, I’d give this a 5 star stay, everyone was extremely happy and we would definitely stay again in the future! Thank you for hosting us

This is how AirBNB should be. The house is stacked with everything. How often are you in an Airbnb and they only have 6 plates? Here they have 20+, they have Great knives, tons of kitchenware, enough toilet paper, plenty of dishwasher tabs and also cleaner for the washing machine. Things you normally expect but somehow got lost in the making money machine Airbnb is now. Not here!! A absolute crazy welcome basket (have not had such a big one ever), friendly crew and absolute amazing place - can only recommend

This house is a dream coming true! They are the best hosts too. The only bad thing about that house is that I had to leave (lol). I would stay there many many times more. Lots of restaurants and groceries stores close. My family and I loved staying in there.

A lovely, modern villa in a great location. Being up on the hill it was very private and quiet. Pleasant walk into Ribeira Brava in the morning to get fresh bread etc. Steep return but ok for moderately fit. We chose not to have the pool heated as it was mid-late May (and it was quite expensive) but it was very cold. All the rooms were lovely and spacious with fabulous sliding doors onto balconies/verandahs which had stunning views across the town to the ocean; shaded in the morning and sunny in the afternoon/evening due to the villas aspect. Kitchen leading directly onto the outdoor dining area made eating 'at home' easy and pleasurable. Beds were very comfortable and everybody slept well. Overall 5* and I would happily recommend it.

Villa Gia is as stunning as the photos, with a stylish, spotless, and modern design. Henrique, the incredibly responsive host, met us for check-in, shared great local tips, and quickly resolved any minor issues. The driveway was no problem for our Mitsubishi ASX, making this a seamless and highly recommended stay!

We felt very comfortable as a group in the villa. It offers a beautiful view of the ocean and, when the weather and the clouds play along, you can also enjoy a fantastic sunset by the pool. After breakfast together in cozy surroundings, the villa serves as a perfect starting point for daily activities, from here you can reach all the important places of Madeira wonderfully within a short time. After being back from the strenuous hikes, you can quickly feel at home in the villa and make yourself perfectly comfortable or spend hours long evenings in a good mood. We would choose this villa again every time. We don't want to miss a single moment we were able to experience in Madeira and will keep everything in beautiful memory. this was our second stay with Louise which says alot! the accommodation is ideally situated to explore the island with a rental car and for walks down to funchal. the apartment was super comfortable and lovely to relax in. can't wait to come back for a third time!

Lovely house. Complete and lots of privacy. No amenities within walking distance. No problem for us, but something to keep in mind. The house is also high, which can save a few degrees. If you are staying here, please remember to go for dinner at the Sunshine Pub&Grill. Highly recommended, see also reviews on Google.
