Holiday rentals with lake access in Rhondda Cynon Taff

A massive thank you to Abbi, who has been an exceptional host. We had a fantastic time staying at the property. Not only is it a stunning property, but a great location, which was close to work and family for us. In addition to being a stunning area close to the mountains for walks and mountain biking. My husband and I are particularly grateful as Abbi allowed us to stay at the property for 5 months in total while renovations were being done to our home as we had unfortunately been through a flooding experience. Abbi was very flexible and allowed us as much time as we needed for the repairs to our home to be fully completed . Very friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. It was an answer to prayers in a very distressing time. We are extremely grateful and can’t recommend enough. We will miss staying at property as it’s stunning and very cosy; was very much like a temporary second home for us. Spacious place, including utility room and area out the back.🙌🙏

A beautiful place, exceeded our expectations. We booked in order to go to the Hay festival, but were so glad we made time to explore around Treberydd, amazing house and garden and easy access to footpaths, lake and pretty church. Hafod has everything we needed, plus comfy beds and tasteful decor Lambs, goats and alpacas a bonus! Sally and Hugh are great hosts, would definitely recommend.

You can't beat this location ! Our stay was absolutely amazing from the moment we booked. The host was incredibly accommodating and friendly for us since we arrived, which we really appreciated. The place is tucked away in a charming, friendly neighborhood that felt both peaceful and convenient. It’s close to everything we needed. The home itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and cozy. The thoughtful touch we loved was Emma’s charm —she really made us feel at home. I highly recommend staying here. It truly made our trip to Cardiff even more special and enjoyable :)

Our stay at the barn was wonderful. The home is spotless and has everything we needed. Beautiful views from the garden and lovely neighbours with an equally lovely dog! Sally is a fab host who came and introduced herself and provided lots of info on the area and local recommendations. Would recommend to anyone seeking a rural getaway in a beautiful location. We had a wonderful stay at the barn. Lots of room for us, a family of six adults. Comfy beds, great shower with lots of hot water for us all to shower after being on the river all day. Kitchen was very well equipped too. Would definitely come back.

The property is very clean and was perfect for our short stay. Leigh was very responsive and kind enough to let us check-out a little later which we appreciated greatly. Highly recommend staying here!

Lovely home for our large family get together. When asked questions Elisha was very quick to respond and even recommended some lovely restaurants. We loved Penarth it’s such a lovely place to stay. We could stroll for about 20 minutes to the pier and various restaurants from the house. Also easy access into the city by train.

Perfect for our 2 night stay. Beautiful accommodation and well furnished. Good to have outside table and seating in a sunny spot. Lovely trip to St Fagans.

We stayed here for our wedding night. Absolutely beautiful accommodation, lovely touch of petals on the bed. Grounds were stunning and I even had a cuddle with the resident ginger cat. Would love to stay again.

Fabulous location and easily walkable between both the exciting city centre and the culturally inviting Bay area. This accomadation quite rightly boasts its remarkable views of the river, is peaceful and private, modern, comfortable and yes, as cosy as stated! Seriously, the underfloor heating in the bathroom is a joy! This was my first visit to Cardiff and as a writer and tourist I can absolutely say my inspirations were tweaked! The hospitality of Gemma and Shaun was friendly, accomodating and respectful! Perfick!

Lovely weekend break at the coach house. Accommodation was great, perfect for self catering, very comfortable beds with great quality bedding! 15 - 20 min walk to the beach, same distance (in the opposite direction) to the local pub and shops.

Beautiful apartment with everything u need. Right next to the ocean, u could hear the waves in the night coming in. Would recommend :)

Great location for access to city centre.

The whole place is an experience in itself form the front desk, to the staff, and the animals. Everything was looked after and shaped to look luxe, even on a rainy day. The accommodation was exactly how it was depicted, showing true heritage and a creative way of using the space whilst being a novelty everything was very tasteful. We had a lovely few days staying here, the weather wasn’t on our side however it didn’t spoil things. The accommodation was lovely, had everything we needed. Hot tub and sauna were simply perfect. The hosts were fabulous and we would definitely recommend this accommodation. The children loved the open space, the football goal and the chickens and geese. Thank you for allowing us to have a few days away in such a lovely place 🩷

A truly magical, cosy, and charming cottage! It was perfect for us, our daughter and our dog - we only wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely visit again.

A beautiful home in an even more beautiful location. We were there over a long weekend of rain and wind but still plenty to do - rainy hot tub dips and squelchy dog walks! The lake and the boat are fantastic, the kids loved feeding the swans. The kitchen is so well equipped - very generous number of plates, cutlery, cups, glasses and all wonderful quality. My only constructive feedback would be - considering the price point - the bedding and towels were of less good quality. The air hockey table wasn't working which was a shame because the kids were really excited to play with it. All in all, a really lovely stay.

We had a lovely time, the house was nice and is well located - we enjoyed the nearby river and pubs!

Four of us and 3 dogs had a wonderful stay at Pentbont Barn. Jayne and Phillipo were responsive and flexible, the barn itself was lovely and perfect for our getaway and Llangorse is a beautiful village, with a stunning lake and beautiful walks. We would highly recommend 😊

I had a lovely time at Ty Cwtch,, it had everything i needed for my 4 night stay and was comfortable and well presented,, it was spotlessly clean.. the property is gated so its safe to let my dog out,, Debra also supplied dog bowls, towels, blanket, and treats for my dog which is extremely helpful.. The bed is so comfortable i slept like a baby.. i went for my 60th birthday and Debra kindly left me a card and some birthday treats which was so kind and thoughtful.. ty cwtch is situated perfectly between the beach and the beautiful wilderness lake and is a short walk to pubs and the town.. Debra is responsive and helpful and willing to help with any suggestions if needed.. i will definitely go back to ty cwtch as i love it there and the cosy comforting atmosphere it gives...

I went to the accommodation with a friend. I prefer something more modern but my friend likes a cottage. I was wrong. The place was so homely and the garden was such a lovely place to sit, along with beautiful views. Sally and her husband were amazing hosts and very welcoming. We had a lovely time in Brecon and the people were so friendly. Although it’s only a small town it has everything. We went to the four waterfalls trail and came home to freshly baked scones and jam. Such a lovely and thoughtful thing for Sally to do. It’s a great place to relax and get away from a busy life. I fully recommend it if you want to switch off and unwind.
