Lovely B&B in the country, the Old Vicarage Erwood

HelenRating, 5 stars6 days ago
My stay with Linda was lovely, the prefect B&B experience. I chose Linda's because the location and price were really good, especially as it included breakfast, and she had lots of good reviews. Her decoration was not my style BUT I loved my stay and it proves that only going somewhere that matches your style means you could miss out on staying somewhere wonderful! The bed was really comfy and warm, the garden and views were beautiful, Linda had all the amenities I needed, and I felt right at home. She was always there to welcome me back with a pot of tea and a chat, we spoke for hours over the 2-night stay. I really enjoyed Linda's company and you can understand why she has people returning year after year. I hope to be back again in the future. I definitely recommend staying.

The Shed

GrahamRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I can honestly recommend a stay at the Shed without any hesitation at all. It's comfortable, very contemporary and squeaky clean. Lynne met me on arrival, she was very friendly helpfully showing me around, told me how things worked and describing the local area before leaving me to settle in. The lovely comfort of the Shed is enhanced by the convenient extras thoughtfully provided by Lynne such as the unexpected welcome pack, an emergency sewing kit, first aid kit, local guides, dvds and many more. The Shed's location was perfect for my walks, sightseeing and just chilling. Thank you Lynne I hope I get the chance to stay in the The Shed again soon.

The Old BarnTwin Room

PatrickRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Jill's place is great to stay if catching an early flight, much better than the local soul-less hotels. Its 4mins from the airport! I slept like a log, the linen and towels were exceptional. The room was so beautiful, old wooden beams, amazing, wished I could have stayed longer! Hope to stay again. Thank you.

Super Manor House bed and breakfast 1

EmmaRating, 5 stars23 months ago
After a busy couple of weeks and having just hosted a party for 50 people we were looking for a peaceful retreat for some R&R to end our 20th anniversary celebrations. Tall Johns House did not disappoint. The Manor House is beautiful and the walled garden was a peaceful setting where we ended up falling asleep in the sunshine. The surrounding area is stunning with beautiful views of the Brecons. Archie welcomed us and was on hand to help us and help with any queries including recommendations for a meal that evening and a taxi home. He even ran us over to the pub to pick up our car the next day. No review would be complete without mentioning the fabulous breakfast. A real treat which set us up for the day. Thank you Elizabeth and Archie for a lovely stay, which was everything we were looking for - we were thoroughly relaxed and rested by the time we left!

Peace and quiet in Hay-on-Wye

SharonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Emily greeted us at the door and was very friendly and welcoming. We parked right in front of her home and everything in Hay-on-Wye is in walking distance. She offered tea and gave us a tour of our accomodations which included a very bright bedroom and comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. It was very easy to come and go as we explored the area. Emily also gave us options for pubs/dinner. We visited The Blue Boar for drinks and The Swan for dinner...both were charming. Hay-on-Wye is such a unqiue town with so many bookshops...one of the reasons we visited and we were not disappointed. We happened to be there on Market Day (Emily had told us about it) and also during the celebration of VE day which made the town center very lively. We slept well in Emily's quiet neighborhood and had one of our best breakfasts...soaked oats with berries/jam and nuts along with toast, coffee and tea. Yum! We also enjoyed a great conversation in the morning...such a lovely way to start our day!

We loved our stay here! It was peaceful and remote but also close enough to lots of exploring options. The service from Sid was exceptional. He was so attentive and friendly. The breakfast was a highlight of our stay. It was also very warm which made staying there in October a dream! Thank you so much team!

Corn du

FabioRating, 5 stars20 months ago
I felt fortunate to have found Jen’s place, lovely location, scenic and peaceful. Brand new looking room and private bathroom, the breakfast was perfect; Jen is clearly a very experienced host (over thirty years in the business it turns out!) and she’s now scaled back to fewer rooms so you know you’ll get all the attention and you’ll have the perfect time. The only thing she couldn’t do for me was to make the sun shine in a rainy October day, but it’s ok, I’ve forgiven her. Cannot recommend enough!

The Pantry B&B (Bara Brith Room)

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a 5 star b&b, one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. So cosy, comfortable and scrupulously clean and well maintained. The facilities are perfect and well presented. Breakfast was lovely and fresh (we had sour dough toast, filter coffee, fruit and omega seeds) fresh flowers in the bedroom was a lovely touch. Fantastic views. The hosts are amazing and very attentive.

3x Twin Rooms with En Suite’s above Pub

ScottRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed for 1 night after walking pen y fan and the surrounding area with friends. The accommodation is exactly as shown and great value for money, especially if you’re booking all the rooms as the kitchen/sitting room is a communal area. Beer in the pub was great and the locals were very friendly.

The Versailles Room - Gileston Manor

SophiaRating, 5 stars11 months ago
We had a wonderful stay in the Versailles Room at Gileston Manor, a beautiful bedroom with all amenities provided. It was very relaxing to enjoy the lovely roll top bath in the room, and of course the wonderful gardens and surroundings. The continental breakfast in the morning was lovely, and check in etc was very easy with friendly staff. We visited the local Blue Anchor Inn which was a fab experience, delicious food in a lovely historic setting. Would highly recommend and would love to return.

Anita is a super host in more ways than one. We were made especially welcome and nothing was too much trouble. She’s a lovely individual and accommodated our every need, went out of her way to do so. Stunning views from our bedroom window. The area is lovely, walks, waterfalls, caves and more, right on your door step. We’ll be going again!

We came to stay for a base to enjoy the walks around Brecon Becons. The place was lovely and such friendly staff- immediate response when we accidentally left the key inside the room! Lovely area to sit in front of the fire after a long day walking and enjoy the charming building. Would definitely return if we are in the area again!
