Nature lovers house with private pool

Quinta da Vinha is a gem for nature lovers, beautifully located in the valley of Reriz. The birds and the river which is a 5 min. walk from the property, are the most present sounds. We have a 14mx6m swimming pool with salted water (no chlorine), in a 1400 sm garden, with a lot of shade spots and sunny spots, a barbecue and an amazing view. The small cottage is ideal for a romantic escape, one bedroom and a kitchen/living room with all the appliances you need for a comfortable stay.

Passamos dias incríveis na casa do Avô. Fomos recebidos pela Ana, que nos aguardou com um café quentinho, a lareira aquecendo a sala, e nos contou a história da casa o que deixa a experiência ainda mais completa. Camas confortáveis, roupas de cama e banho de qualidade, tudo muito limpo e organizado e cozinha muito bem equipada. Todos os cômodos foram muito bem pensados tanto para viver momentos em conjunto, quanto a privacidade dos quartos, que são isolados da área comum. A vista é de tirar o fôlego e o pôr do sol emoldurado pelas janelas, parece mais uma tela na decoração da sala. Já prevemos um retorno no Verão para aproveitar a piscina. Super rocomendo viver essa experiência.

River “Lodge” Garden Hillside Retreat. 5pax

Over the years we had quiet a few holiday homes but this one is so special and was definitely one of the best we ever had! It starts with the private driveway to the house which makes you feel like queens and kings of ancient portugal. On the one hand the property is extremely quiet because there is nothing nearby except nature and a very small steeet, on the other hand you can walk in 20 minutes to Reriz, the village nearby that is very beautiful and has a wonderful little café and a very special riverbeach, where you can swim, hang out and have a beer. The house itselfe is really beautiful, very comfortable beds, and a kitchen with a astonishing panoramic view. Right next to the house is the wonderful saltwater pool with a terace that also offers a great panorama. And you can swim in the river on the property. PLUS Sherrin and Tony are the most friendly hosts you can imagine, especially friendly and understanding with our noisy kids - this makes you feel really at home as a family.

From the moment we walked in, we knew this place was something special. It has that rare, magical feeling where everything just feels right. The space was stunning—beautifully kept, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly peaceful. But the real showstopper? The views. Absolutely spectacular in every direction. We spent hours just soaking it all in. The pool was perfect—clean, refreshing, and surrounded by scenery that made it feel like our own private paradise. Every moment here felt relaxing and memorable. What really made the stay extra special was Paulo and his wonderful family. They were warm, welcoming, and always available if we had questions. They also gave us amazing local recommendations, especially for restaurants—we had some of our best meals thanks to their tips! The best. That has to be the first thing I say. We have stayed at so many airbnbs and this place was just wonderful. First Sandra and Nuno went far above and beyond for hosting - they met us in person, watched our dog for us!!, brought veggies, had homemade bread ready - and were just truly the kindest people. It felt like we were visiting family not staying in an airbnb. The house is lovely - every detail is thought of and hand crafted, you can certainly feel the love for the place and the careful and beautiful renovation throughout. The backyard is a hidden gem - again, with every detail from a firepit to an outdoor shower, lounge chairs and fairy lights. We were a hop away from a main trailhead and easy access to many towns in the area. It was perfect, you even have an easy to access parking spot so you can easily navigate in and out. Highly recommend and huge thanks to our hosts! We appreciated the lovely opportunity to enjoy such nice people and a wonderful space.
