Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Rekawa Lagoon

Our stay at Hela Studio was lovely. We booked last minute as we wanted to extend our stay in Hiriketiya. Marta was a great host and was very helpful with local recommendations and check in process. Marta also helped to arrange a realisable car transfer which was a great price.

Мы провели в этом доме целый месяц и остались в восторге! Просторный, уютный, с прекрасной чилл-зоной у реки, где можно расслабиться и насладиться природой. Особенно понравилась крыша – идеальное место для занятий йогой. Кухня полностью оборудована, так что готовить было удобно. Кровати в спальнях комфортные, спалось отлично. До пляжа всего 5-7 минут пешком, а до серф-спота в Велигаме – около 25 минут. В целом, это был замечательный опыт, и мы благодарны хозяевам за гостеприимство!

Herausragende Unterkunft, wir haben mit 5 Personen drei Nächte verbracht. Das Haus ist in sehr gutem Zustand, sehr große und schöne Zimmer. Wohn- und Essbereich großzügig, modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr freundliches Team, Frühstück nach Wahl, gut und frisch zubereitet. WLAN, Klimaanlage, TV, Boombox und Geräte neu und funktionstüchtig. Bäder sehr schön und geräumig. Pool und Garten sehr gepflegt und groß, Meer- und Strandzugang. Insgesamt eine besondere Villa die den Preis wert ist. Vielen Dank ans Team und die Vermieter!

We had a great stay at Dor’s beautiful home. It’s perfectly located, just a short walk to the beach and restaurants or a short Tuk Tuk ride to some of the further restaurants. The bathrooms are beautiful, shower head nice and strong. Air conditioning does the trick and the beds are comfortable. There is a nursery with a cot and change table so perfect for us with a 10 month old. Highly recommend you book this space!

This was our favorite place we stayed in Sri Lanka during our trip! Beautiful, welcoming, clean and comfortable home with attentive staff. Super close to the beach. Just on the other side of the street. They also let us check in early which was helpful to have a place to store our luggage.

Amazing house with even prettier garden! You have a place for yourself, away from the street but close enough to the supermarket (2 mins) and the beach (1,2 km). The place is calm, private, you can really enjoy your stay in peace and calm. For this amazing price I don't think we could find a better place to stay!

5 min from the beach and up in the jungle, it’s the best place to stay if your looking for the calm. Breakfast and Yoga sessions were great. The staff very kind. I recommend 100%.

Absolutely magical 3 weeks at Sudu Villa with our 5-month old son. Before check-in, Matt’s communication was excellent and was also reached out to by Charu, the Villa Manager, who both were happy to answer any questions we had. Check-in was smooth and we had the best time at Sudu Villa. Location is absolutely perfect, with easy walks to Pehebiya Beach and Hirikitiya. Charu was absolutely brilliant throughout our stay and couldn’t do enough for us, whether that’s organising surf lessons, tuktuks or airport transfers. Villa was immaculate with regular pool cleaning, we felt immediately relaxed from Day One. Will definitely be returning, a memorable few weeks.

place was immaculate. Brand new and very spacious. Having a large balcony and open air kitchen and bathroom was such a treat! The location was perfect as it was just far enough away from the hussle of Hiriketiya and in a residential neighborhood where it allowed for a good night's sleep. Wifi was spotty but lots of places to work in town so wasn't much of an issue. The host was kind and very accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again.

Ruwan ist ein überaus lieber Mensch der sehr darum bemüht ist, dass es einem an nichts fehlt. Die Unterkunft sah genauso aus wie auf den Bildern. Alles war sehr sauber. Es gab einen Kühlschrank voll mit kostenlosem Wasser. Frühstückszeiten waren nach Absprache, was wir als sehr angenehm empfanden. Das Frühstück hätte ein bisschen mehr variieren können (es gab jeden Tag das Gleiche). Ruwan organisierte uns den Transport zur nächsten Unterkunft zum Uber Preis. Und der Fahrer war auch sehr nett. Wir haben einen Ausflug zu den Schildkröten und nach Galle zusammen mit Ruwan gemacht, den ich mir ehrlich gesagt etwas anders vorgestellt hatte. Ich dachte er ist so etwas wie ein Touri Guide der uns auch Informationen an die Hand gibt, aber er hat uns lediglich gefahren. Dafür empfand ich den Preis als etwas zu hoch. Aber es war dennoch sehr schön und eine gute Idee. Wir bereuen es nicht 4 Nächte bei Ruwan verbracht zu haben und können es guten Gewissens empfehlen. Gerne wieder dort.

We really loved our stay in the apartment. It's very nicely designed and has everything that's needed. Also, we really enjoyed cooking in the outside kitchen. The place has a nice working area if you ever need to be productive. Eva was a great host. She was there for us all the time and helped us a lot with everything. The beach is very close and several shops aren't far away.

Sehr schöner Ort, um gemütlich am Strand zu liegen und sich zu entspannen. Die Surfschule nebenan ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Hier kann man Entspannung und Action super miteinander vereinen. Die Unterkunft war sauber, das Frühstück (Buffet) lecker und das Team vor Ort sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Können es sehr empfehlen😊

We stayed at Sanjayas place for four nights. The family was super kind and helped us with local advice such as restaurants and must-sees close by. They arranged transport to the house and again when we left. Their hospitality was warm and made us feel welcome. We would definitly recommend this place to others.

Ich kann nur sagen, dass die Unterkunft von Mathilda einer der besten unserer ganzen Sri Lanka Reise war 😍! Super sauber, modern eingerichtet und ruhig. Alles was man gebraucht hat war in der Wohnung zu finden. Man gelangt in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß an die Hauptstraße mit Restaurants und kleinen Läden. Besonders nett fanden wir auch ihre Haushälterin Ayomi, die man auch immer kontaktieren konnte, wenn man mal eine Frage hatte 😊. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und die Unterkunft von ganzem Herzen empfehlen!!! 💕

Wir hatten uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Lage ist ein Traum und es war sehr ruhig. Die Familie hat uns herzlich empfangen! Der eigene Balkon mit Ausblick auf Palmen ist wunderschön. Wir konnten dort auch Wäsche waschen und essen kochen. Wenn wir wieder in Matara sind, kommen wir wieder zu euch!🫶🏻

Great apartment, had all the basic necessities! The host and family were so incredibly helpful! Gave us a number for a great tuck tuck driver, warned us about the rambunctious monkeys that like to stop by, tried to keep us up to date on the power outages and more. It’s a lovely little jungle villa, with that being said, jungle = lots of bugs, there’s no way around it. Just don’t leave any open food out and that will help lessen the bug situation. Also, mirissa beach (great spot for restaurants and beach days) is a bit too far to walk, so I’d recommend getting a scooter or a bike and the host has a person for that too!! All around, would stay again if we come back to Sri Lanka! Host and family were so so so helpful and friendly!

Gayashan and Roshani made this stay unforgettable and the best one during our time in Sri Lanka! They were always available to answer any questions, organized the best Safari into Udawalawe through a friend, did a cooking lesson with us, helped with getting taxis and so much more. Both were so welcoming and it happened often that we talked for half an hour during breakfast about Sri Lanka, nature, politics and food with them. The place is lovely and exactly like the photos! It is in a quiet area with no cars (only peacocks and monkeys haha) and it takes 10 minutes by foot to Hiriketiya beach. The breakfast they serve is authentic Sri Lankan, changes a bit from day to day to keep it exciting and most importantly is DAMN DELICIOUS! And, this shouldn’t be forgotten, both Gayashan and Roshani are absolutely kind and great people and we felt like guests in their home and not just people sleeping next door. Will come again!

Most beautiful villa with everything you need! Walking distance to main beach and restaurants. So much to explore in both directions near the villa. Would highly recommend!
