The White House Lodge was amazing. Janaka and his family made us instantly feel welcome and at home. The apartment is quite spacious and you'll be provided with everything you need. the terrace is very beautiful as well. Everything in Madiha is in walkable distance. Janaka helped us with tuktuks and car rides as well.

We had a lovely time at Luca's place. The house has everything you need for a great rest. You will be able to observe the few animals that roam freely in the garden. The pool is a big plus in the heat of Sri Lanka. The house is incredibly clean and the people who work there are very nice. Nimesh will help you with any questions, you can contact them at any time. He took us to change money, showed us where the best places to dine were and organized all the excursions for us. He also took care of our trip and picked us up from the airport. Throughout, we were able to enjoy the wonderful dinners prepared by Nirosha including a great seafood barbecue. The house is very well located: only a short walk to the beach and all restaurants/shops. Feel free to book your stay in this house, it's a real little paradise.

Lovely place in a great location. Slightly tricky to find for our driver but access is via another hotel entrance. There wasn’t any WiFi when we were there and in a bit of a signal black spot but still a great stay!

The Namaskara Villa is pure heaven! Large and clean with very comfortable king size bed. Two toilets, spacious bathroom with hot shower and stars above your head was absolute dream. The kitchen is very well equiped for cooking, but we didn't cook at all, because we took advantage of possibility of having daily lunch and dinner from Malkanthí who is excellent chef! Malkanthí and Ruhunu took care of us not only with the dinners and lunches, they also did cleaning and shopping for us to keep our fridge full, because there is no supermarket nearby the villa. The garden is nice, full of wildlife and the ocean is just in front of the place. It is not so private as I expected, there were some fishermans nearby every day.

This was our favorite place we stayed in Sri Lanka during our trip! Beautiful, welcoming, clean and comfortable home with attentive staff. Super close to the beach. Just on the other side of the street. They also let us check in early which was helpful to have a place to store our luggage.

This apartment is a great find. The property is newly done. The amenities were as described. It’s in the middle of a busy market but still very isolated. The beach is right in front of the property and you can walk to the beach anytime. Hiriketiya Beach is also 5-7 mins by Tuk Tuk and those are easily available behind the property. The sunrise and sunset views are spectacular. Only downside is the steep staircase but if you don’t have a heavy suitcase then nothing to worry. If you do, the caretaker Thejan will help you take your luggage upstairs. Our stay was peaceful and we will recommend this place. Thejan the caretaker was extremely helpful.

Very nice villa with all amenities needed. Beautiful garden directly on the beach. Some nice restaurants nearby. Very helpful and friendly host. You get a massive villa for a good price. For families with small children you should know that not all beds/bedrooms are in the same building.

We were lucky and were able to check in early. I was sent all the information I needed on a w***e. Upon arrival, we were met by Guyan and Irish. Irish was very kind, we saw him every day when he came to clean the area. Having a pool is an absolute plus in this villa. We bathed in it both morning and evening. The sea is a 3-minute walk. At this time, it is not crowded and almost all the beaches are not crowded. It is better to move around the tangalle by bike to visit various beaches and cafes. We walked from the villa to a lovely restaurant in 10 minutes. In general, we did not regret it at all and remembered this villa for the rest of the trip.

The location of the house was absolutely stunning. Right on the beach which was empty and felt like our own was dreamy, peaceful and idyllic. Lakmal, Dulan and Nihal were so helpful and attentive to all our needs. The breakfasts and dinners Lakmal made every day were absolutely stunning! We had so much variety and a real taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. They looked after us so well and arranged tuk tuks for us when we wanted them. It’s worth taking toiletries as these weren’t provided but honestly i would absolutely recommend this house as a great base to do a morning safari and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Great value for money!

We had a wonderful stay at this two-story house. The property is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a beautiful area. We especially appreciated the peaceful surroundings and the helpful communication with the host. Just a small tip for future guests: be mindful of keeping doors and windows closed, as the local wildlife is quite active. Overall, a great experience, and we would definitely consider staying here again!

It is a great villa. Is much better in real life than in photos. The location is amazing - right on the beach. You can see and hear ocean from the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was really amazed by the whole experience. I’d definitely go there again and probably for a longer period of time.

I spent 3 nights at Abhaya Villas and loved every minute of it. The property is well maintained, clean and as the listing describes - right opposite the sea. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was large and clean and the common area and the kitchen was also clean and decently stocked. Shaun was super responsive and helpful throughout and made it very easy for us to communicate, despite being out of the country. Ruwan, the caretaker was also very helpful. All in all, the perfect place for a nice, quiet beach time in Sri Lanka. Definitely recommend!

A great stay by the ocean. I loved going to sleep to the sound of the waves and watching the turtles right out the front. Lots of food and bar options within walking distance. Definitely recommend!

Truly lovely property, which was very relaxing with a lovely garden + pool area. The hosts were great, as was property manager, Isuru. The property was as described and the garden even better than the photos. Hosts gave recommendations + arranged transfers + which were all great, they even recommended properties for a friend to stay at last minute. Check-in was completely hassle free as was contact with the on site manager who was excellent+available whenever messaged and was very responsive to cleaning/maintenance requests. There are lovely restaurants, cafes and beach bars within walking distances, meaning the holiday can be as lively or relaxed as you like. The bakery 2 doors down is fab (and even offers a cooking class which is a must!) A brilliant stay. Thank you - we'd love to come back! x

Such a gorgeous place, the photo's don't do it justice. Set inside the most gorgeous little walled jungle garden. We loved it and would have been pleased to stay for longer. "Uncle" was such a lovely man and made us feel really welcome :-)

We had a very comfortable stay only 5 min walk away from the stunning Hiriketiya beach. Strongly recommend getting breakfast from the hosts it is delicious and authentic for an unbeatable price. Thank you again for the hospitality, we felt very welcome.

a very stylish and spacious house with tropical garden, 10 min from two stunning beeches. after traveling a bit the clothes washing facilities was very useful. and the host and her children were charming and very helpful. they live in the house nextdoor, but you have 100% privacy. 5 star.

We really loved our stay at Amila’s. So much we extended for almost 3 weeks. The home was so clean and cozy. The garden was beautiful. Felt very private and peaceful. It was the perfect place to unwind, and disconnect. Amila provided water and beers, which was a nice added touch. And if you pay him his agreed upon price, he’ll drive you into town to get supplies/food you may need. Many restaurants are nearby. Our two favorites were Ruwani (right across the street), but especially Turtle Kingdom further down the beach to the right. Both family run businesses with great food and great prices for the southern province. Felt like a nice community in the area. Had many peaceful walks and saw so much wildlife. The beach was unlike any other. So much raw-natural beauty. It went on forever. The water in the area is very rough and not the best for swimming, but we still loved every bit of our experience. Would highly recommend staying at The See Turtle Villa. We already want to return.

The lost art of Air BnB - thank you Sue for creating a beautiful space that felt like our home away from home. The place is decorated so beautifully- dark wood and rattan furniture with fun modern accents. Kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy breakfast and fresh coffee. The yoga mats on top and a killer book collection?! Chefs kiss!! We travel so much and we look for beautiful spaces like this that standout on our journeys. Great location, great vibe, great experience. Thank you again for having us and sharing such a beautifully curated space.

The place was definitely the most beautiful of our whole trip. It looked exactly like the photos and we felt incredibly comfortable! Drinking his coffee and breakfast on the beautiful terrace in the morning was a highlight. The host and staff were very nice and picked us up from the street with a tuktuk, for example, when we didn't find the entrance directly. We were also able to rent scooters directly via the accommodation and organize tuktuks to the next place. Unfortunately, there are not so much in the area except for a few restaurants (which are great) (no real shopping), but e.g. Jungle Beach is only a few minutes away on foot and incredibly beautiful!

Amazing house with even prettier garden! You have a place for yourself, away from the street but close enough to the supermarket (2 mins) and the beach (1,2 km). The place is calm, private, you can really enjoy your stay in peace and calm. For this amazing price I don't think we could find a better place to stay!
