Family-friendly holiday rentals in qathet Regional District

Really enjoyed our stay, would happily stay again. Exactly the stay I was looking for, ocean front, could hear the waves, loved it. My son was so happy there was a hot tub! Comfortable beds and lots of space.

We had a lovely time. Doreen and Doug were extremely responsive and helpful even when the power unexpectedly went out during a storm. We would definitely come back the next time we are in Sechelt.

Wendy's place was awesome! My family had a great time staying here for a week in late March, and found the place to be very comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. It was really nice to have a fully-stocked kitchen - even niche items like a cake mixer and vegetable steamer were available (indeed - baking cakes and steaming broccoli are both things we are known to do while on holiday 🙂). My kids also loved playing with the cool toys in the treasure chest in the main room, and picking out new books to read as bedtime stories from the shelves in their room upstairs. I would highly recommend this as a great accommodation for families on a Vancouver Island holiday.

We loved staying at Michelle’s place. It was very clean and relaxing and the place had all amenities as described. The hot tub was a special bonus after hiking and water sports. Michelle is very responsive and friendly. We would definitely book again!

The place was beautiful! Very spacious, we had lots of room for everyone. Having the beach so close was so amazing, my kids loved playing in the sand. The deck overlooking the property was breathtaking, especially with a morning coffee. Host had everything laid out nicely with lots of possible activities.

Katy and Dave were incredible hosts - they made sure the hot tub was warm for us each day and were responsive to whatever we needed. The place itself is GORGEOUS - we didn’t leave once and were entertained the entire time, even in the rain. It was the perfect spot for a girls weekend. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to be back at some point! Can’t recommend enough.

Stephen and Ivan’s place was a peaceful and relaxing place to stay while just being a quick drive away from local restaurants and shops if you wanted to go out. The hot tub was a nice way to end our day after walking through smugglers cove. Would stay here again!

Had a nice time at Paul’s place! The space was perfect for a couple and has a great deck with a dining table, bbq and soft tub. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. Loved that there was a dishwasher! Paul was very friendly and had two beautiful pups! Location is perfect for a day trip to Savary Island (close to the water taxi) and about a 15ish minute drive from Craig park (for disc golf!). We would stay here again! Thanks Paul!

The place was just as described. Beautiful view and surroundings. The enclosed deck and yard were great for the pups. Loved how you had access to the ocean! The sea lions would come to visit. We will be back.

Our family loved our stay here. Leah is the kindest and most welcoming of hosts. The cabin’s location was perfect for us, close enough to family gatherings in Courtenay but in such a serene place we could unwind in the evenings and enjoy walks surrounded by huge cedars to the beach for the beautiful sunsets. Very dog friendly and we just adored meeting Timber and loving on her too. It was so perfect!

Always a great stay here. A beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with a nice grassy lawn for my dog. Gale was so friendly and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Was lovely to have coffee and eggs and cream and croissants for breakfast. Just outside of town so was peaceful and quiet but an easy drive in.

What an absolute gem of an airbnb. We had our privacy the entire stay. Cabin was spacious and was spotlessly clean upon arrival. Well stocked kitchen with a comfortable living space. The backyard was spacious enough for our big dog and there are many trails close by. The fire pit with the lawn chairs allowed us to sit back and relax with a nice fire. This was a great getaway. I highly recommend Keitha’s Airbnb!

Everything was great! Bob was a fantastic host and the suite was very well equipped.

The sauna was a welcome bonus, and we enjoyed our time greatly. One tip for future guests - don’t think it snows that much in Lund, but if so, suggest to bring an AWD or 4x4; local country roads can get a little a hairy. Thank you again Roisin!

We couldn’t recommend Romina’s place enough. Perfect location for a relaxing getaway in the beautiful Cortes Island. We felt right at home and the place was very spacious, comfortable and filled with thoughtful details. Everything was truly spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the garden stunning. The space and the setting was perfect for travelling with our dogs. Romina was a fantastic host: very responsive, friendly and flexible. Will definitely stay again!!

Exquisitely stunning setting & soul-drenching experience. Saltwater Farm is nourishing in every sense & Cortes island is soulfully loved by the locals. This is a place to touch, enter & experience beauty & goodness. I am dreaming of my next trip back here, in any season. For solitude & love alike, Saltwater Farm is a gift of extraordinary virtue.

Perfect location for trail walks, seaside walks and great bakery near by. The kitchen was amazing and so much fun to cook in. The beds were comfortable and living area spacious. Danielle and Mark was great for communication and checking in to see if we needed anything. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

We had a lovely stay at Liz’s cabin close to the beach. It was wonderful to get away for a weekend with hiking/cycling as well as enjoyed the quietness and calm nature Hornby has to offer. Liz was an excellent host and would love to return someday.

This spot was perfect…the ultimate outdoor spot. Sitting outside on the deck felt like being in a prime seat at an IMAX theatre and the movie is the real-life nature in front of you. My children and I loved exploring the beach when the tide was out (starfish galore and more). Truly a magical place. My family had intentions to explore more of the sunshine coasts parks and such while we stayed here but honestly we just wanted to hang at the AirBnBnBBQ. One of the best BnB’s Ive been too. Gwen and Nic are super chill and friendly and we felt super comfortable and at home being here. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Susan’s place. The space was very clean with a great view. Susan was a fantastic host and very responsive. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay on the Sunshine Coast.

This is a little Oasis. We loved touring the gardens and saying hellos to the ducks and chickens. It was wonderful having three private rooms for our group. The local recommendations he provided were helpful. Make sure you order some of their baking and preserves while enjoying your stay. We were lucky enough to try their fare at the farmer’s market. Delicious!

Rachel and Rob's place was perfect for our two families. It was even nicer than the photos, and we had lots of space for sleeping. The area is absolutely beautiful and the kids loved the short walk through the forest to the water, where there was no shortage of exploring and collecting to do. Rachel and Rob were great hosts; they were proactive with instructions and very responsive with the question or two we had. The kitchen is well-equipped and had everything we needed. It's a great spot to use as a launchpad to explore the Sunshine Coast! Highly recommend.
