Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Putnam County

The "Pawfect" Porch Getaway was exactly right for our visit. We were close to friends and family and just a short drive into Charleston. We had great food, drinks and entertainment in Charleston and returning "home" to our Schnauzers was a special treat for us. The home is fully stocked with everything expected, was sparklingly clean, and perfect for two schnauzers with a safe, fenced in yard for playtime. This is our second stay at this property and will stay here again on our next trip! Thanks for your hospitality!

Love GG’s retreat! It was perfect for our girls trip getaway. Shayla was a perfect host! We were welcomed with fresh cookies, she made us aware of potentially severe weather & kept our safety a priority, was very understanding with unexpected flight changes, and was very responsive. The home was very clean and the porch has a perfect sunset view, all around this was an amazing stay!

John’s place was in a nice location, very spacious, and equipped with most of the kitchen must haves! We would recommend you bring extra blankets, towels and trash bags! You will enjoy the space, there are games, a cabinet full of goodies and clean sheets on the bed. Wish we would have found this host/home a few years ago. We have been miserable every time we stay in WV, this place changed that feeling for us! We felt right at home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR COMFORT, PEACE AND PRIVACY! We felt safe here and the location was very convenient!!

This location was peaceful and serene. The place was clean and exactly as described. The kitchen had all necessary items to cook. The view was beautiful. I would recommend this air bnb and would be glad to stay here again.

The house was nice and very clean. Plenty of parking and close to shopping. We had lots of fun with the foosball table. Anthony answered all questions timely and check in and check out was very easy. We would rent here again.

Best place to stay in Tornado. Nile and his houses are perfect! Private and secure for you bikes if you ride Hatfield and his houses are all freshly remodeled. You won't find a much better or cleaner hotel in the area. We stayed with Nile multiple times and we'll be back.

The house was just what we needed to be comfortable with a family of small children while away from home. Loved the furnishings and space.

Kimberly's place was squeaky clean, quiet, and just as described. Kimberly was very friendly. We felt right at home. We took the time to walk along the river and even across the bridge. We shopped and ate in the area. We felt safe, and everyone we encountered was welcoming. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Overall, it was one of the best (if not the best) Airbnb experience we have had.

We are 2nd time guests at Jp's home. It is very convenient for us to stay there when visiting family in the area. We love that it is dog friendly and has a secure backyard for the kids and dog to run around in. Jp was responsive when we notified him of a small leak and offered to fix it if it became a problem during our stay. I appreciated his responsiveness. My kids love all of the big foot stuff around the house and the activities in the bunk room.

Conveniently located - made trips to family/friends in Huntington and Charleston easy. Solid location - Walkable to some things. Quick drive to groceries and restaurants. Clean home - comfy beds and plenty of space, great backyard.

Margaret was a fabulous host. Looks like the pictures but also has so many unique curated design. She was extremely accommodating, and friendly. Though we found a pet sitter last minute- Being pet friendly was such a bonus. As we usually bring our small dog for hikes and visiting. You can truly feel the intention and heart that goes into her space. Not only does she have an eye for art. But when inquired, she shared they were a local artist. I love how she clearly supports her local community. And recommended some local cafes, and coffee shop. The overall feel was she is a very thoughtful and intentional host. Highly recommend her space!

this was our THIRD visit to Tackett's Hideaway! Tackett's has became our home away from home. we have visited other places but always end up back at the container! we spent hours fishing. we caught several fish. if you love to relax and fish this is the best place to do it. the fire pit was awesome to use in the evenings. there is also a John boat to take out if you want. the hot tub is always great at the end of the day to look at the stars! just pack your bags and go! they have everything ready for you! from dishes,wood for fire pit,boat,and games! we leave a new game for the next guest Everytime we go in hopes it will help bring some laughs to someone enjoying our favorite place!

It’s better than the pictures you won’t be disappointed!

This is our second trip to Poco in the past 6 months. We truly believe this place is a hidden gem. It's the perfect getaway from life's busy hustle & bustle. Off the grid, good quality family time. Nicky & Ron are such a warm & endearing couple who do it all themselves. It gives you that personal touch not having to go through property managers. Everything is clean beautiful. Nicky is amazing at communicating throughout the entire process, answering you back within minutes. Ron is always about, working & checking on things to make sure you're enjoying your stay & that you're safe but does so in a non interferal way. You have complete privacy without being alone. We stayed in the newest cabin this time & had the added perk of indoor plumbing, which we enjoyed. The private shooting range is enough (by itself) to keep us coming back but the hot tub is nice in the evenings to relax before bed too. Still love this place & will always come back as long as Nicky & Ron allow.

Nicky and Ron are the absolute best. they have a beautiful property, all done by the two of them. it's very obvious they have poured heart and soul into making it a great experience to stay. thanks guys!

We enjoyed our time at this wonderful home. There was plenty to do at the house. We enjoyed the upper deck with the hot tub and the great view of the river. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway.

If you want a quiet out of the way place, this is it! Several have mentioned the bathroom situation but there is a wall, just a screen for a door which was not a problem for us. It is very clean and decorated beautifully. Unfortunately I got sick while I was there and ended up in the hospital, but Chris was so good to my husband and my dog. Even were able to extend their stay until i was released from the hospital. They did everything they could to make this easier. He took my husband and dog on a four wheeler to see the whole farm. Which they both loved. We highly recommend this place. Greg was also wonderful to work with and very cooperative.

My friends and I rented this property as a getaway for the 1 year anniversary of the loss of my friend's partner. This rental was truly lovely and relaxing. We found the property very clean and the beds/couches were comfortable. It was very private and we loved getting to use the ATVs. It's hard to be sad when you're ATVing and hot tubbing with your best friends. The property was also very close to many of the Mothman attractions we came to town for. We would definitely stay again. And Spooky the cat was so friendly. We are a bunch of animal-lovers, so he was a welcome friend during our stay.

Cute, rustic home with a lot of historic architectural details. Large home with lots of area for the family to spread out. My kids loved the game room and spent a lot of time there. Abundantly stocked with linens, towels, and extra pillows. Kitchen was also well stocked with everything we needed to make family dinners. Convenient location for visiting family.
