Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Punta Uva

Beautiful place. Perfect for me & two kids in 20s. Very connected to the surrounding nature, sounds of howler monkeys and birds . Clean and refreshing pool with waterfall. As beautiful as pix. Short walk (5-10 minutes) into town, beach and national park . The 2 smaller bedrooms could hear nearby partying late into the night ( but I didn’t) . Could have used more prior advice about pros and cons of getting there ( rental car, Caribe shuttle or plane to Limón ) but Kirsten was very responsive once we were there . Had a blissful time!

Insuperable. Todo limpio, ordenado y la cocina está super bien equipada. Los anfitriones son lo más pura vida que uno se pueda imaginar. Los perritos lindos. El equilibrio entre la jungla y la comodidad son perfectos. ¡Quisiéramos quedarnos a vivir en esta casa jajaja! Volveremos.

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The house was adorable & open & airy. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were plenty of towels for showers & beach trips. The kids ate breakfast on the balcony every morning. We even had a sloth come down & hang out about 12 feet from the balcony one morning! The most perfect beach was literally steps away. It was far enough from town that there wasn’t too many people, but close to many restaurants & grocery stores. We are already hoping to plan another stay in the future.

Wow!! What a spectacular and beautiful home and experience. Agatha was the loveliest host with a beautiful home that she designed herself. The love and care she put into every aspect of this home and experience is 5 star. The views are jaw dropping and the time in the the infinity pool was epic. The home was spotless and very comfortable with an exceptional design. I cannot recommend this home enough! I would say it is probably one of the top homes in the area. This place is gorgeous with incredible woodwork and beautiful details throughout the home. It is close to the town of Puerto Viejo (a 10 minute walk) yet just far enough away for solitude. Playa Negra is even closer. The beds are super comfortable. We were SO thankful for the AC in the bedrooms. The fans on the patio were much appreciated. Mariana provided coffee and a fresh pineapple for us to enjoy during our stay.

The airbnb was so beautiful ! Orietta was so kind & willing to help with everything. She was very accomidating & responsive. The location is beautiful & felt very safe & comfortable. There were open windows so you could see the wildlife & it felt amazing. Very clean as well!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was spotless, with large, beautifully appointed bedrooms and super comfy beds and pillows. The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The pool was a highlight—sparkling clean and perfect for relaxing. The entire property is walled, which made it ideal and worry-free for our small dog to roam safely. Location-wise, it’s perfect—close enough to the center for convenience, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Bonus points for the cute little convenience store just a short walk away. Highly recommend—would definitely stay again!

The place was exactly as advertised. Checking in was very easy and we didn't have any issues during our stay. Grill was a great option and we ended up having happy hour and cooking out several nights. Location is perfect. Far enough from 'downtown' puerto viejo to be quiet and peaceful, but close enough to bike in. We ended up renting a 4 seater ATV from a place that was only 10-15 minute walk away. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Puerto Viejo!

Nos gustó mucho la casa, el anfitrión desde el dia q lo cantacte me ayudo con todas las dudas y estuvo atento en todo momento! Las habitaciones estan bien acondicionadas, los baños son amplios... Espero volver!

Una casa ideal para descansar y pasarla bien con una increíble playa al frente, mucho espacio para poder jugar con tu mascota y también pasarla muy bien haciendo una parrillada y escuchando el Mar al fondo. Lo recomiendo 20/10

I cannot say enough good things about my husband and I’s stay at this beautiful bungalow! Zvezda was a wonderfully responsive host and prepared us well for check in, and the caretakers of the property welcomed us warmly. We were floored at the gorgeous surroundings when we arrived on the property. While lounging in the pool we were able to watch monkeys, macaws, butterflies, etc. The bungalow itself was also adorable and had everything we needed for our week long stay. If you’re looking for a private stay amidst nature in the Punta Uva/Puerto Viejo area, this is your spot!

Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we had nothing short of an amazing stay here in Casa Cocles! Daniel was checking on us through the trip to make sure we knew of the local spots and must-visit areas. He also greeted us with some fresh cut fruit to munch which was very refreshing! The location is at a really convenient spot that allowed for worry-less travel between different activities. We ended up visiting the animal rescuer center, countless Puerto Viejo restaurants, Cahuita National Park, BriBri tribe territory, lots of beaches , etc and these all felt very accesible and easy to get to with or without a rental car. Some tours even offer to pick us up exactly at Casa Cocles for free! We were super grateful and happy with our stay, and will definitely be coming back here for future getaways!

El lugar se encuentra en una muy buena ubicación, y es muy tranquilo. La cabaña es amplia y bien equipada, además hay zonas verdes amplias para mascotas. Pablo fue sumamente amigable y estuvo muy al pendiente. Nos gustó mucho el lugar, de fijo nos gustaría volver.

Chris's place is very comfortable, and conveniently located to the beach and Cahuita downtown. There's a grocery store not far (maybe 15 min driving), and the kitchen is equipped for cooking meals. The beds are comfortable and the outdoor showers are amazing. The yard welcomes all sorts of wildlife as well - birds, agouti, and even a sloth presented itself! I would stay here again.

Die Lage des Airbnb ist toll, wenn man an einem ruhigen Ort sein möchte (in Punta Uva ist wenig los). Die Wohnung befindet sich direkt am Strand (über die Straße). Es gibt wenige Nachbarn, die nicht immer da sind, alles sind Airbnbs. Wir fanden das Apartment sauber, geräumig, es war alles da, was wir gebraucht haben. Die Kommunikation war toll, die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und nett, haben schnell reagiert. Wir würden nochmal kommen!

This place definitely is privileged to reinforce another review. It had everything we needed and did convince with it‘s own path / gate to the beach. Thomas was extremely helpful and fast when it comes to communication. 10/10 recommend! 👏🏽

We had a great stay in Puerto Viejo. The place was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The swimming pool was a great bonus, perfect for relaxing after a day out. It’s really close to Playa Negra, which made beach time super easy and enjoyable. Bikes were available, which made it quick and fun to get to the center of Puerto Viejo, but it’s also walkable if you prefer. The location strikes a great balance between peaceful and accessible. Would definitely recommend staying here.
