We loved the house and the garden. Staying in the middle of the jungle is magical. If you are looking for a silent place, this isn’t the one cause the monkeys, roosters, dogs and birds will wake you up very early but if you are looking for a jungle experience this is it! The house is super clean and beautiful, full of butterflies and beautiful animals that come to visit .

We were in the villa at the end of our Costa Rica trip and it exceeded our expectations. The garden is beautifully landscaped and we spent most of our time outside thanks to the great outdoor kitchen and the huge pool. We especially liked the style of the house and the furnishings, a great mix of modern and Caribbean flair. Also the bedrooms and bathrooms were impeccable and had everything you needed for a relaxing stay. Javier as a host welcomed us very warmly and was always available for questions. You can immediately tell that everyone here is passionate about what they do. Anytime again and highly recommended.

We couldn’t have picked a better place for our two night stay. The location is secluded away from the hassle and bustle of Puerto Viejo but close where you can take a Tuk Tuk or bike ride (easy to rent nearby) to the center. Playa Chiquita is the closest beach but you can also visit Cocles and Punta Uva (our fave). The Airbnb has all the amenities you need and the host, Stephanie, was very responsive. We hope to return to this hidden oasis soon!

Our group of 4 had an absolutely fantastic experience during our trip. The unit is gorgeous and is very conveniently located close to restaurants and supermarkets, as well as being within walking distance of secluded beaches. There were wild animals within the property itself and we were able to take videos of monkeys, agutí (small animals similar to a mini-capybara), and many different exotic birds. The master bedroom is reminiscent of something from a movie with its screened doors and the breeze coming from the water while you hear the wildlife. Both Pablo and Carlos were phenomenal during our visit and were the most responsive and accommodating hosts that I’ve dealt with to date. They went above and beyond what I would normally expect and it made the experience top notch. I recommend this unit to anyone that is looking for a truly unique and beautiful place to stay while visiting the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica and wants to experience the true meaning of “pura vida”.

Beautiful secluded location near popular beaches and restaurants. Loved the design and layout of the home. We spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor living space, which includes a comfortable seating area and large table. Howler monkeys and agouti in the yard.

Daniel welcomed us with great kindness. He gave us a quick and complete presentation of the place and then let us settle in quietly. The accommodation is beautiful, very well positioned to contemplate the jungle and very intimate because of its height compared to their house. We loved the open kitchen (perfectly equipped) with a very nice covered terrace on which we loved eating facing the jungle. It was a permanent show, monkeys a few meters away, toucans, hummingbirds, and many other birds. The bathroom meets the expectations of those who want to cool off by having room in the large Italian shower. The small bonus is that Daniel is always available via messaging for info about the area. Her gallery is very beautiful and it was an opportunity to leave with some lovely paintings as a souvenir. We will come back without hesitation. Thanks, both of you.

We loved our stay here! Place was just the right amount of luxury for the price. It felt like you were immersed in the scenery/jungle around you. Overall would highly recommend this place - loved the shared pool, outdoor area, and open air bedroom. Host was very responsive and even offered us a later check which I really appreciated. If you’re considering this place here are some pros and cons: Pros: Good value for price Beautiful living space Not on busy street Beautiful scenery Close to Playa Chiquita Cons: (everything was great but a few things we noted) There were quite a few bugs in our place even upon checking in (apart of being in an Abnb in the jungle) Not as private to the other villas on the property as we thought it would be (just be aware - if other villas are being occupied during your stay you will be able to see them) Other than that it was a great place to stay if planning to visit Puerto Viejo. We liked being close but far enough away from busy town.
