Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Providencia and Santa Catalina Islands

We didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Claudia herself but we spent our week in Old Providence taken care of by her partner Currumba. I feel there’s little we could say that would do justice to describe the increíble experience we had staying on High Hill in their lovely home. If you are lucky enough to make it to the island there is no other place I could recommend staying. Thank you so much for welcoming us and for helping to make our time in the Carribean a trip we’ll never forget Currumba. This island is magical and its people truly special. Muchimas gracias por todo ojalá la vida nos regale otra oportunidad para pasar tiempo en High Hill y vivir la buena vida en esa casa tan hermosa.

Charming house close to the lovers bridge. Some problem with the water pressure but fortunately we found a shower (hose) next to the house that we prefer to use. The house and the location is very good, I hope you enjoy your stay as I did!

I loved the stay! Comfortable room, all very beautiful and organized. We all were very kind, polite, helpful and, to break, we still had a wonderful breakfast. They were super flexible with the checkout and helped us return to the airport Definitely would recommend hosting!

A great place. My only recommendation is that the guest do not forget to wear repellent and matazancudos for the rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at High Hill, with Claudia and Curramba as very pleasant and forthcoming hosts. The house has three nice and comfortable bedrooms, each with a separate bathroom, nice terraces, and it is a great starting point for exploring everything the island has to offer. We hope to come back soon!

The Seaflower is a dream. The setting is picturesque, the kitchen is well-stocked and clean. The rooms are beautiful, you open the window and look out into the water. It’s 5 minutes from the airport and close to Manzanillo and Southwest beaches (highly recommend checking out both!) The manager, Taryn, made this place well worth the price; she truly went above and beyond to not only get us on a new flight when our flight from NYC was delayed but was responsive to every need we had during our stay and gave us excellent recommendations (don’t skip Caribbean Place for dinner). Taryn made our stay 10/10 💜 Can’t wait to return!

Jairo is an exceptional host, among the best hosts I have visited (if not the best)! He welcomed me with special attention, he explained the island of Providencia to me in detail with good coffee. Throughout my stay, he helped me a lot and made my trip easier. With his contacts, I was able to easily rent a scooter, take a boat trip, eat in good restaurants! Lunches are also very good😋! The room and house are perfect, as described on the listing. In short, I would 100% recommend this little paradise on earth! I hope to come back!

The house and rooms are perfect - very clean and well finished. We didn't meet Jairo, but Jennifer, Jairo's wife, helped us with everything. She gave us great recommendations about the island and cooks a delicious breakfast each morning. It is a short walk into centro and Santa Catalina, and you can also easily walk to Maracaibo from the house. Jennifer also helped us get a taxi and has contacts to hire golf carts or motos too. We weren't in the house very much - really just to sleep - the beds were very comfy. The only small thing if you're wanting to spend time in the hammock in the garden, is that you can hear the generator that runs the electricity for the town. However, it's nice and quiet in the rooms. We would stay again. Thanks for your hospitality!

We are very happy to have visited Raul's place!! His whole family was incredibly sweet and he always responded directly to any questions. The location of the apartment is great! In our opinion, it is located on the most beautiful beach on the island, which is within easy walking distance. We would recommend the apartment to anyone and plan to come back!!

Raul is an extremely kind and helpful host. He booked a great boat tour for us and was always responsive to our messages. He also coordinated a scooter rental for us. The location is perfect, walkable to the best beach on the island. Would definitely recommend staying with Raul at Saltwata!

Thanks for the wonderful stay! We spent almost a week at Cidris and Hortensia, who took care of us with remarkable attention. Everything was there: fresh fruit from the garden every day, daily laundry service, motorcycle rental, etc. The place is also superb: a large garden to relax, hammocks, a peaceful atmosphere and a pleasant view of the sea! A big thank you also for your help in organizing the activities and for accompanying us until the departure from the island. Everything was perfect, thank you again!

Excellent communication + friendly host

It was a pleasure to stay at Raul's place, the communication was very fluid and the accommodation was very clean upon arrival. There was air conditioning so everything was fine. We did not meet Raul in real life but he looked super friendly! Recommended.

This little house has everything a couple need for a caribbean vacation. It has a very well equiped kitchen, freezer big enough, a double bed, a private bathroom, and a little outdoor hall with little table and hammock. it's right next to one of the most cute and private beaches (amazing sunsets). it was super clean and Helga and Louisa are the nicest host you can ask for.

Kildren and Sumi were great. Very easy going, always approachable, open to just chat too if you want. They live next door so it's never hard to find them, if you need anything, not that you will as they leave the facilities pretty accessible to their guests when they aren't around. Just all around a very pleasant couple of people. After 7 weeks at their place, I was sad to leave.

We stayed here for 5 nights, and found the apartment charming. The view of the ocean from the hammocks and deck was beautiful, and we were occasionally visited by Madonna, the sweet in-house dog who liked to sleep on the porch as we read in the hammocks. Martha, the on-site host, was super responsive and is almost like your on-demand concierge—she organized scooter rentals, a boat tour, and a guide for a hike up to the peak (please hire a guide for this—it’s helps the economy here!) Otherwise, it’s a 20-min walk to the beach and to a great restaurant/bar (Roland’s) where you can hang out on the beach all day, and to a small store where you can find the necessities. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, and the apartment is freshened up by Martha every few days. And the people of this small island are friendly and happy to answer questions in English, Spanish, or the local patois—they are trilingual! Will definitely return!
