The Outhouse - luxury house near The Lake District

RobRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a gorgeous place to stay. The Outhouse is beautifully furnished, to a remarkable standard, and utterly spotless. To start a week’s holiday in the Lakes with a delicious welcome hamper was a treat too, as was the Nespresso machine complete with pods. The property’s owners, Stacey and Steve, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. If you’re thinking of staying here, you really should.

Quarryfoot Annex.

Perfect place for a stopover on a long trip. Such a pretty little village with the most gorgeous view out the huge window. The garden is stunning and had the weather permitted, we would have had breakfast outside with nature. Great nights sleep in the huge bed with soft bedding and towels. Everything you need to make hot drinks and microwave plus Paul supplied milk, water and biccies. You must read the instructions from Paul prior to your arrival as it’s tricky to find. Thankfully, Paul was prompt in responding to our cry for help! Very easy to find, when you read directions and close enough to walk to the local pub. Definitely book again on our next trip.

Helen and her family were friendly and welcoming. This is a lovely, homely, peaceful place to stay. The cottage is extremely well equipped and spacious. This was my second visit here, hopefully not my last!

Annexe In Holme South Lakes

JohnRating, 5 stars3 days ago
A great location for a holiday, in a quiet village location yet just five minutes from the M6 motorway, with the Lake District, Morecambe Bay coastline, city of Lancaster and western Yorkshire Dales all within easy reach. The 555 bus also picks up almost opposite - ideal for a car-free day out in the Lakes all the way up to Keswick. Tracey's accommodation is spotlessly clean and well presented, with everything needed for a relaxing break plus a friendly and helpful host.

Horseshoe Cottage great for families or couples

SteveRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We enjoyed a wonderful short break at Catherine’s cottage, set privately in woodland but close to lots of activities. Catherine was very helpful and accommodating, leaving welcome supplies in the fridge and bread bin for our family of five. Ours was a last minute booking, on the day of travel, but Catherine couldn’t have been more helpful. There’s lots to do in the area, and we were happy to discover the small villages of Arnside and Far Arnside. Returning to the cottage was always restful and comfortable, and it was a great fit for our family. Highly recommended!

Sunny Cottage with Stunning Views

DebbieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Beautiful property, really felt home from home as soon as we stepped inside. Lovely touch with the welcome tray and the dog bedding and blankets. Comfortable and peaceful despite being close to road. Garden is very secure although not directly accessible from the house. Upside down property, so views from living room are lovely - bathroom and bedrooms downstairs. The recommended walk up the hill behind is well worth doing - stunning views! Also Arnside is well worth a visit (fish and chip shop is amazing) and the food at both Levens Hall and Strickland Arms (both very dog friendly) is fantastic. Property has everything you could possibly need and is nicely away from the busiest parts of the Lake District while still being close enough to be very accessible. Definitely hope to be back.
