Family-friendly holiday rentals in Powell River

We booked this place for a girl's weekend (and a local trail marathon) and were delighted with the house! Very clean, well-equipped kitchen, spacious living/dining room, EPIC patio with outdoor dining table and a clean, functioning hot tub overlooking the ocean. What more could you want? The place was quiet, a short drive away from town, and the hosts were friendly and responsive during the booking and check in process. Highly recommend!

Great place with very nice host. the hous is clean, well furnished and beautiful. the hosts are super helpful, communicate well and overall great. we loved the beachside location with the beautiful view. I would recommend to anyone!

We loved staying at Michelle’s place. It was very clean and relaxing and the place had all amenities as described. The hot tub was a special bonus after hiking and water sports. Michelle is very responsive and friendly. We would definitely book again!

The place was beautiful! Very spacious, we had lots of room for everyone. Having the beach so close was so amazing, my kids loved playing in the sand. The deck overlooking the property was breathtaking, especially with a morning coffee. Host had everything laid out nicely with lots of possible activities.

This is a true Guest House experience. Hans and Denise were just incredible hosts. Really thoughtful and personal. The location is top notch, and the cabin is perfect. 10/10. Can’t fault it.

Wow, words cannot even describe the beauty of this place. We had such an amazing time and are thinking of coming back annually. Katy and Dave are lovely hosts who are nearby and very responsive. They kept the hot tub hot!! They sure have a slice of heaven on Earth 💗 thank you both so much

Had a nice time at Paul’s place! The space was perfect for a couple and has a great deck with a dining table, bbq and soft tub. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. Loved that there was a dishwasher! Paul was very friendly and had two beautiful pups! Location is perfect for a day trip to Savary Island (close to the water taxi) and about a 15ish minute drive from Craig park (for disc golf!). We would stay here again! Thanks Paul!

Really nice area, my wife and I used it as a honeymoon spot. Even with other houses fairly close around, it still feels like you quite alone! The place is clearly designed to be a couples getaway spot, with the two shower heads, two person soaker tub and so on. There are some pretty decent restaurants about a 15 minute dive too. Bree was on top of things too, sent a message less than an hour after we arrived welcoming us and letting us know if we needed anything to message her. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay!

It was such a lovely stay at Keitha’s cabin. It is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood close enough by the ocean. The cabin was charming with all the amenities you need for a get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cabin is on her gorgeous property with access to a fire pit and yard space. We had a lovely stay here and would love return! Keitha was very responsive and kind and has two beautiful dogs who sometimes greeted us with wagging tails by the fence. It was wonderful! This is such a special place! The Cabin is an authentic, traditional family cabin, with plenty of supplies for a comfortable stay, but the location right on the lake is something else! We loved using the boats, spotting wildlife, playing on the beach. Such a memorable place to be with our family. We were also grateful for the prompt communication from Don. Thanks again

I stayed at Lauri's place for a week while working remotely, and it was exactly what I needed. The deck offers a great view - perfect for morning coffee or unwinding in the evening. The area is quiet and peaceful, I could really focus during the day and relax afterwards. Even though it wasn't a vacation, I left feeling recharged. The cabin, though small, was well-equipped and comfortable, and the natural beauty around made it a memorable experience.

our stay was very nice. the loft was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with very useful tools that allowed us to enjoy some local fish we got from the area. they labeled everything in the space which made finding everything very easy. the space is also super clean and beautiful. wonderful place.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your cozy oceanfront paradise!!! We felt right at home and felt honoured to be able to spend time in what is obviously such a cherished family cabin. The location is absolutely incredible and we really appreciate how well stocked the whole cabin is with games, kitchen items, etc. We especially loved the sunroom and our kids loved cuddling up and reading books on the couch in there. We had a great stay! The neighbourhood was very peaceful. We really enjoyed grilling on the Weber BBQ and appreciated the multiple fans available in the cottage. The pillows were some of the best I've slept on! My toddler said it was her favourite place that we've stayed. Thanks!

We couldn’t recommend Romina’s place enough. Perfect location for a relaxing getaway in the beautiful Cortes Island. We felt right at home and the place was very spacious, comfortable and filled with thoughtful details. Everything was truly spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the garden stunning. The space and the setting was perfect for travelling with our dogs. Romina was a fantastic host: very responsive, friendly and flexible. Will definitely stay again!!

wonderfully clean and cost cabin. we found the place very peaceful. just what we needed and was able to go out and enjoy the quiet wilderness around Madeira Park and Egmont. Hope to be back.

Our party included 4 adults and two children. We stayed in the house for four nights. This is something which we do every summer, staying in different houses near Rathtrevor Provincial Park. We were happy with our rental this year (2024). We liked the fact that this complex includes a swimming pool. We also spent a lot of time at the beach. (We used the beach folding chairs which are available in the unit.) We also walked in the adjacent Rathtrevor Provincial Park. We also drove to some stores in town. The kitchen is well equipped. We used the BBQ for three of the dinners. It was useful that one of the bedrooms includes a desk. Sandy communicated with us (via the AirBnB app) several times. We had a great vacation. I should also mention that after we checked out we discovered that my granddaughter left a certain item behind. Sandy assured me that it will be mailed to us. Thank you!

Nicole's place is amazing, great communication and everything is as she described. she was super helpful with anything we needed! The yard is quiet and private. there is a shared pool and hot tub not to mention mini golf was so much fun. I will definitely be staying again if given the chance.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Starfish Cottage. The house itself was so clean and inviting, as soon as we entered we felt comfortable and at home. The location is great, we took full advantage of the swimming pool and mini golf. We went to the Black Goose Inn (charming English-like pub) twice while we were there as it was just down the road. Super easy drive into Parksville which had everything we could possibly need. My daughter had her 4th birthday here, and really enjoyed herself. We all talked about how much we want to come back again, and we certainly intend to!

This was a fabulous rental, it was perfect in every way. Every step of this booking was just a great experience, the host was so friendly and fun to chat with and thought of everything a traveller might need. All of the instructions were clear and well thought out, everything was as expected if not better, the place was spotlessly clean and everything was provided for. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, I hope we will get a chance to enjoy your hospitality again, it made for such an enjoyable trip! Thank you so much!

Donald was a very good host to work with. We were happy with the condo, it was spacious and had what we needed to enjoy a great time. So nice to have the pack and play for our baby. The upper and lower floors were so nice to give privacy when traveling with multi family. The grounds were beautiful and the heated pool and hot tub were really nice. A short walk to access Rathtrevor Beach, which is awesome We would book again next time we come!

We had a great stay! Grandkids swam in the pool most every evening, and it was great to have the beach so close! Accommodations were very clean, comfortable beds, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils needed for preparing meals and grilling. The grands loved discovering the box of toys too!

The perfect place to stay for our visit to Parksville. Our host was super communicative and helpful. Highly recommend!

The cottage was great for our family of 5! Equipped with beach towels, toys, and even a mini cooler - this makes beach going easy. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the beds and sofa beds were all comfy! Thanks so much for a great stay!
