Take a boat, or walk to Torno to find a bar, cafe, shop, and restaurants. Como is a short drive, and public transport is close by. L' appartamento dista km 5 da Como, km 2 da Torno, km 40 da Milano, km 38 da Lugano. E' raggiungibile con i mezzi di trasporto pubblico : gli autobus C30 C31 C32 con partenza ogni ora circa dalla stazione ferroviaria Como San Giovanni , Como Lago Ferrovie Nord o da Piazza Matteotti in direzione Como- Bellagio, impiegano circa 8 min per raggiungere la fermata Blevio - Decorazioni Savio, distante 100 m circa dall' abitazione. Alternativa piacevole al trasporto pubblico tradizionale può essere l'uso dei battelli della navigazione del Lago di Como, con partenza da Piazza Cavour in direzione Torno, da dove camminando per circa 15 min raggiungerete la destinazione. MI PERMETTO DI CONSIGLIARE VIVAMENTE LA PIU' PICCOLA ED ECONOMICA VETTURA PER MUOVERSI COMODAMENTE, POICHE' I TRASPORTI PUBBLICI ED I TAXI NON SONO CONFORTEVOLI NELLE NOTRE ZONE The apartment is 5 km from Como, 2 km from Torno, 40 km from Milan, 38 km from Lugano. It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

We just had a wonderful stay at Claudia’s. Communication before and during the stay was excellent and the property was perfectly located in a beautiful town. We could walk to restaurants along the stunning lakeside boardwalk. Claudia made some excellent recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed our boat hire for the afternoon. We hired the motorboat within walking distance of the apartment. The lift access, washing machine and secure parking really helped make our stay easy and relaxing. Would highly recommend and would very happily return.

The apartment was very clean, fantastic location in the centre of Porto Ceresio with a beautiful lake view. Very close to the train station, restaurants etc, also a large supermarket ~10 minutes walk. Good selection of kitchen utensils and crockery, but for condiments only salt was provided. We left a bottle of olive oil so hopefully it will be there for the next guests. There were also a couple of coffee pods, dishwasher tablets and dish detergent provided. No WiFi instructions despite a huge folder containing instructions for everything else. The network name & password are printed on the router but we found the internet connection unreliable. The beds are comfortable but as mentioned by others, the main bedroom is next to a busy road and it's noisy even with windows closed so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Laura who checks you in/out is lovely, but speaks little English. Google translate helps! Overall the apartment offers excellent value for money and we would stay again

What a beautiful apartment looking over the lake. The location is quiet and relaxing. We stayed for 4 nights and explored the area it was easy to get around. The apartment has everything you could ask for. Patrizia & GianFranco were great hosts and very responsive. We hope to return again.

Beautiful cozy cottage right on Lake Como! We loved our stay here. The kitchen was great and the host provided the first morning essentials (eggs, butter, coffee, yogurt, milk) which was a life saver. We really enjoyed the outdoor shower and the incredible Finnish sauna! We swam off the dock in the lake daily and hung out in the yard with so many beautiful ducks and swans! There are a couple good restaurants within walking distance, but do be aware you have to walk on a busy road to get to the closest town which is Lierna (10 minute walk). We did not have a car and it was not a problem with the ferry and the proximity to town. I highly recommend this place and would book it again in a heartbeat.

Great accommodation in Porto Ceresio Everything was there: from impeccable cleanliness to neat decoration, every detail is thought out! And Milka is a caring host with a message every day to check in and little touches that we really appreciated! She takes the reception of her tenants to heart The place is typical, quiet with everything you need nearby (bar, restaurants, bakery, etc.) Not easy to park but there is a reasonably priced paid parking lot nearby I would highly recommend
