Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Portimão

We travel with our family every three years. This year was Portugal. We spent one week in the Algarve at Steve’s home. The home was perfect for eight adults, four children and two infants. The house had a great layout for a big family. The pool was wonderful so relaxing every afternoon to come back and swim. Steve and Nathalie were great house. Great recommendations for food and activities, including car rental rentals. If we come back to Portugal, we would stay here again thank you for a fantastic holiday home.

This is a great villa in a great location, about 3km from the centre of Carvoeiro. If you like walking it's only about 30 min walk to the town or you could get a €5 Uber. There are a few restaurants and a small supermarket very nearby. The villa ... wow ... we couldn't fault it. We felt right at home. It was furnished lovely, had everything you needed and was spotlessly clean. Our recommendation is no need to have pool heated if temps have been 25+. We didn't bother and it was cooler at the start, but like a bath at the end of the 2 weeks.

An amazing stay at this Airbnb, especially for families with young kids. You can see sunrise and sunset from the location, the pool is amazing with toys, and there are swings and slides on the sprawling property. The outdoor grounds were peaceful to walk around, with orange and lemon trees. The indoor space was clean and well-decorated and with toys for the kids to play with. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked for us to prepare meals. We really liked that there was a washer and dryer so we could fully dry our clothes, especially before flying out. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The parking lot was spacious enough for 2 cars. The minor issues we found was that the location is a bit remote so you need to drive around to get anywhere, and there's actually 3 rooms in the main unit, not 4. The 4th room + bathroom is located an separate but attached building that accesses the main building via a courtyard and is an extra fee. That threw us off, but it was fine at the end.

It’s our second visit here and we loved it as much as we did the first time, especially how’s there’s air conditioning! It’s a home from home with everything we needed. Sarah is helpful, friendly and responsive. See you next year

Super cozy, clean, and well kept apartment! Great proximity to beaches and sites. They do a great job communicating and making sure you have everything you need. Parking can be tough to find at night as it is a busy apartment complex, but not the host’s fault at all and we still had a great stay!

The view was outstanding! The pictures match the apartment and we really enjoyed the view of the ocean during the stay. The apartment was right on the main beach boulevard with restaurants and a Spar grocery store right downstairs so all very convenient. There was only one heater unfortunately. There is one free secured lot with the flat but not the easiest to park.

We were completely happy with the place. The apartment was even more spacious than the pictures showed and the bed was outstanding. It was also great that we could use bicycles for free. Luis was a great host, always available and took care of everything.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment , clean, and beautyfully maintained apartment. It’s locaties in a lovely neighborhood, just a short walk from shops and restaurants. The beach is only a minute away -such a perfect spot! Highly recommend. Tip: there’s a great breakfast place just around the corner -we ate there every morning!

It was wonderful! Clean, nice communication with the owner. Everything is great! The location is great. Every morning across the street, fresh hot bread rolls and all sorts of fun things to do. We found the most beautiful beach right on our doorstep, rugged, colorful and not too crowded, Praia dos Tres Castelos

Great place to stay, very responsive and welcoming hosts, bottle of wine was great! Location is not overly walkable to Lagos downtown, but wasn’t expecting it to be either. Great pool and amenities at the condo!

I completely endorse the comments that other guests have made. Ingmar’s apartment is a complete home with everything anyone would need for a relaxing stay & offers value & quality. The location is excellent, a hire car is not really necessary as there are bus stops just metres away for trips to the east & west Algarve. For those who like walking the location is perfect for ambles along the coastline & to beautiful beaches. Alvor with its varied restaurants, fantastic beaches & long boardwalk is a must visit. The 3 brothers beach & its restaurants, Sol & Sombre & Canico offer excellent food & a lovely place to swim & sunbath especially if you have children. A day spent there followed by a walk back to Ingmar’s apartment makes for an enjoyable day & a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. For those who like a lively nightlife head to Roche. Ingmar is a up there with the best super hosts.

Good neighborhood, swimming pools and tennis courts on the territory of the complex. You definitely need a car to go to the beach and nearby cities Vladimir gave recommendations where to go and was always in touch

We had a great stay as a family for over a week. The apartment is lovely & bright, very clean & well equipped, with good aircon and a balcony overlooking the pool. The complex itself is modern, safe and has a really good sized pool area. Location was brilliant, a short walk to the supermarket, beach / boardwalk and town centre - everything you'd need! Lovely welcome & communication from host.

We had a fantastic week at Anita’s apartment in Praia da Rocha. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome – Anita and Antonio had left a generous guest pack including ham, cheese, wine, milk, water, biscuits and crisps, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch after our journey. The apartment itself is bright, spotless, and has spectacular views across the beach – which, pleasantly, wasn’t too busy during our stay. The location is excellent, with a great selection of bars and restaurants just a short walk away. Anita and Antonio were outstanding hosts – friendly, responsive, and clearly committed to making sure their guests have everything they need. Their detailed information pack was really helpful, and they were always quick to answer any questions we had. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this apartment – it’s a perfect base for a relaxing stay in Praia da Rocha. Thank you, Anita and Antonio, for your warm hospitality and kindness!

This place is a hidden gem in Lagos. The pool is excellent and peaceful. The restaurant in the pool area is excellent. Jose the owner is awesome. Good food too. Recommend!!!

we had a wonderful time at the apartment. The location was perfect, about 10 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to the centre. loads of restaurants nearby. Mrs Irene gave us loads of information about the area when we arrived which was a great start. the apartment is spacious and well decorated very clean and comfortable. Thanks for everything

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful peaceful location. It is exactly how it is described and more. So much space and everything you need. The view is stunning - and lots of chairs/loungers to sit on to enjoy it. We knew Carolina was there if we needed her - but we didnt as everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this home and would love to return.
