The property matched the description provided, though the photographs give the impression of a larger space. Nevertheless, it perfectly met our requirements. Chris was exceptionally responsive to our inquiries, addressing various questions we had. The area was clean and filled with ample natural light. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding land for play, as well as the small game room stocked with toys, which was a welcome respite during a particularly rainy and windy day. The on-site washing machine was available for free use, and the washing line proved to be quite useful. Although the outdoor pool was not heated, it did not deter my children from taking a dip and having fun. I would certainly consider staying at this property again.

Enjoyed our stay here and had everything we needed. Great location for seeing different parts of Cornwall. Good to have the facilities on site especially the swimming pool which my boys loved.

We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. A beautiful property in a very quiet and relaxing setting. Hosts provided all of the information we needed. We will certainly return for another visit in future!

We really enjoyed staying here as a group of five adults and 1 toddler. Plenty of room for us all and having 2 bathrooms was really great. The cabin is comfy and cosy, with beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. We used the cabin as a base to explore Cornwall as it is located centrally within easy reach of many popular towns. We loved coming back to the cabin in the evening and using the hot tub and waking up to the very friendly alpacas! You do have to drive up a very narrow and steep lane to reach the cabin but we were lucky that the lane is very quiet and so we never met any oncoming traffic. We would absolutely recommend and would love to return one day.

Brilliant place to stay! Especially for families. Lot's to do on the resort, and a short dive away from coast! Jodie was a fantastic host! We just stayed for 7 nights as a place for the whole family to meet up with two toddlers and three couples. The place was absolutely perfect, super clean and really well equipped - the hosts have though of everything we might need. There is so much space and the addition of the extra living room uostairs was really useful. Nice private balconies. The hosts were really caring, informative and responsive. Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

We didn't spend alot of time there, due to the activities we had planned, but very comfortable and accommodating. Would stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage. The cottage was very clean, tasteful decorated and had everything we needed. It's in a quiet area with a lovely and peaceful garden. It's just a short walk to the harbour with great restaurants. The Eden project and the Lost Gardens of Heligen are a short drive away and it's also not far to the beautiful beaches on the North coast of Cornwall. We had a great stay, we felt straight at home and we can only recommend staying here.

Our stay in Charlestown was the perfect Cornwall getaway. The house had everything we needed to spend time relaxing, making home cooked meals and socialising as a family. Christa’s place is in the perfect location, quietly hidden away whilst also being just minutes walk from all of the wonderful local bars and restaurants. We followed a nearby coastal walk to a gorgeous little beach and enjoyed drinks at the lovely Pier house in the evening. Fantastic value for money and would definitely return. We’ll never forget our first little holiday with our new baby daughter!

What a gem! The upper beach house is a fantastic find with the most wonderful scenic view to look out to. The house is spacious, homely and full of all the amenities to feel home from home. The outdoor terrace is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the view of the beach. With just a one minute walk to the beach and costal path, the location was perfect. Gareth was a great host, responsive and clear instructions. A brilliant stay!!

Paul was very responsive to our enquiries. Location was excellent for visiting the Eden Project. The bus stop was a 15 min walk away, and the bus journey was approx 15 mins. Convenient for all the restaurants in Charlestown, and to buy breakfast in Tesco or Lidl both of which are on the doorstep. The house was lovely. Well appointed with a lovely outside patio at the front. The bed is extremely comfortable, with super pillows too. The shower is good and the towels lovely and soft. All in all a great place to stay.

The road in and out of Golant takes nerves of steel. Just as well River Retreat is worth the drive. A beautiful, comfortable home with a fantastic view. It is beautifully decorated. Claire has an exceptional eye for detail. Everywhere I looked there was something of interest. Kitchen brilliantly equipped for meal prep. Another lovely week in Cornwall. Thank you Claire.

Lovely, relaxing stay in a beautiful, comfortable house. Fantastic views over the estuary, which we enjoyed whilst having breakfast on the balcony. As expected for hilly Fowey, the walk back up from town is fairly steep, but still doable for the oldest member of our party. Although there is no parking outside the house, you can park to unload and load, then park in the car park, a short walk up the hill. It's cheaper to pay for the week's parking, rather than pay each day. In all a very enjoyable stay and we'd be delighted to re-visit if we didn't live so far away (in Scotland)

Fab stay! The house was very clean and tidy on arrival. Quite minimalistic and basic, but in a good way - we found we had everything we needed throughout our stay, without lots of unnecessary clutter. There were clear, easy to follow instructions for the house, along with recommendations of local things to do/places to eat, which was very helpful. We only had to message Matt once during our stay, but when we did he responded very quickly. Lots of local amenities nearby too which was a bonus. All in all a lovely stay, and the perfect base for exploring Cornwall - would definitely stay here again

It was my son and his family who stayed in the cottage between Christmas and New Year as it was very close to our home. (I booked it on their behalf.) They loved their stay there, found it extremely comfortable and that it had everything they needed and much more. They would be very happy to stay there again. Obviously because of the time of year and with the rest of our family nearby they didn't need to explore the area on this occasion. Nadia could not have been more helpful to me and them, thank you!

Absolutely gorgeous house, the nicest holiday accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, very modern and beautifully decorated, it had everything needed for a luxury stay. Really peaceful, we loved the outside space to eat breakfast and afternoon tea, it was private and not overlooked. Communication was excellent, the hosts were super friendly, we easily found the house and got in stress free. It was a good location to get to the north and south coast, only 20 minutes drive to Padstow, 25 minutes to Truro, 35 minutes to Mevagissey. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful! It’s a 3 mins walk to the beach, 4 car parking, so much space, so many bathrooms and it instantly felt like home. Everything has been thought of, from the coffee machine, to a huge fridge, tons of pans, trays to cook whatever you need. There are over 20 plates, bowls, glasses (so no need to constantly wash up - you’re on holiday!) as well as loads of spare cupboard space for the food shop. The baby bath, travel cot and high chair were fab. Shops are just around the corner and it was so easy to get everywhere. Smart TV made it easy for the kids to chill, so much outdoor space and seating, beds were so comfortable and all linen and towels were great quality. Absolutely nothing I could fault. We loved it all and will definitely be back - it was so nice not fighting over car parking spaces and walking down to the Hugh sandy beach and spending the whole day there.

The house is superb, well equipped, beautifully decorated, clean and bright. It is in an excellent location, just a short stroll to the harbour, shops, pubs and much more. We hired the hot tub as an extra and would thoroughly recommend especially after a long coast path walk it was just the ticket. Debra is a great host, extremely helpful and always quick to respond to queries. The welcome gifts were very much appreciated and a lovely touch which made us feel very welcome. Definitely recommend.

A really nice place to stay, very clean, peaceful and walkable for Mevagissey. The return walk up the hill isn't for the faint- hearted but great fun if you want to get fit!

What a gorgeous couple of days we spent at Charlotte's beautifully appointed cottage! Every little detail was taken care of - and we so appreciated all the extra, additional touches which included: dog bowls (already filled with water for our pooches!), milk in the fridge, coffee in the kitchen and a delicious bottle of Prosecco waiting for us when we arrived. The surroundings are gorgeous and we felt like we had been forest-bathing for two days once we left and the birdsong was just blissful. The only (very minor) issue we had was with a small glitch with Netflix which Charlotte fixed almost instantaneously when we messaged her at around 8.45pm. Perfect location for exploring Cornwall - thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely stay in a beautiful house. Really spacious and just what we needed for a family trip for 9 people. Bright, clean and with pleasant surroundings. Brilliant to have so many bathrooms and so much space for the whole family. Close to lovely beaches and both the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. Vanessa is responsive and friendly. Would recommend for a relaxing weekend away.
