Cottage holiday rentals in Porthleven

My partner and I had a great stay here for a long weekend. The place was so peaceful and quiet but close to amenities. The bed in particular was so comfortable, something I find hard to find at Airbnb’s! Claire and her husband were such lovely hosts and even gave us some free home grown eggs for breakfast. Plus lots of local recommendations. The local is good for seeing both the north and south coast. Easy to get the train too if you don’t fancy driving. 100% would come back and recommend the others too!

We loved our stay in this cottage! It has such a cosy homely feel and is equipped with everything you’d need! The bed was super comfy and it was nice to have a tv in both bedrooms and the living space! The hot tub area was gorgeous and a great place to unwind and relax, very private area! Shaun the host was super friendly and very responsive! We couldn’t fault this place - amazing value for money. Would recommend and would love to return in the future!

This was our third stay at Nancy's House. Here are some of the things that drew us back: snug but spacious house that feels loved and lived in, peacefully tucked into a farm where interesting things always seem to be happening, and just a few steps from exhilarating open spaces; lovely hosts. Oh, and the hot-tub is very nice!

A really homely cottage. Perfect for a few days getaway. Unfortunately it rained on our break so ended up stuck inside. It would have been nice to have sat outside more! Overall it has what it says on the tin. Don't go here if you are expecting all mod cons and a pristine home. It's just somewhere cosy to get away from it all, with friendly owners and lots of privacy.

This place was such a great find! We’ve just got back from the most perfect week away. We originally only booked for 4 nights but we extended our stay as we were having such a wonderful time. The place is just lovely with everything you need for a relaxing stay. We loved our welcoming gifts too. Kate and Simon are brilliant hosts and were extremely easy to contact. St Agnes is a beautiful location with some superb coastal walks. There’s also plenty of places to go out for food and drink. The beach is stunning also. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who is considering it (just book it!). Thanks again for a brilliant stay Kate and Simon!

Fiona was a fantastic host, loads of info and very friendly. the house is perfect for a family stay and we loved the cream teas left for us. there is tea and coffee and lots of other handy bits. cupboards full of everything could need like pots pans cling film tuppawear... the main bed was very comfy and cot bed provided. the jacuzzi was great but we unfortunately didn't use the pool as we were too busy seeing the sights. the garden is amazing and we felt very at home. We really loved our stay and we would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends and family.

Had a lovely stay in the hideaway at Tregoose Old Mill. It’s in a peaceful, remote location down a small country lane but easy to access Newquay and surrounding areas with a car. The sauna and hot tub are great additions to a lovely spacious cottage with what feels like your own private gardens. Cookies and eggs from the roaming chickens provided by Dean were a lovely touch!

Beautiful place in the country. The roads were interesting but the house was spectacular. Beautifully furnished and cared for along with a great hot tub! Really nice pieces, like old fashioned lighting and real wood tables in bedrooms. Had everything we needed to chill. Only suggestion is to get clear directions with photos near the house. Definitely recommended; hope to return!

Thyme Cottage is lovely. The cottage was perfect for our needs and had everything we needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The garden is beautiful and the private parking was a bonus. Thyme Cottage is set down some very pretty country lanes and is very peaceful. Despite the peaceful location, Thyme Cottage is close to Falmouth, the beaches and the local nature walks. Craig and Janet were friendly, welcoming and gave us some great recommendations for places to eat. Our family would definitely stay here again and we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet Cornish getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay. Susie was a great host, very friendly and made us feel welcome. Great location for all the things we wanted to do. The Minack, St Ives and St Michaels Mount all easy to get to. Great local pubs just a short hop in the car. Thank you Susie and Mike for a stress free break.

Excellent stay! An easy drive to many of the beautiful and exciting corners of Cornwall. Technically there is a train track nearby, but we could barely hear it, even with the windows open in the bedrooms. A very well outfitted kitchen and spacious lounging area. We also had a B&B breakfast, which we hadn't expected. 10/10 would come back and stay again!

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We loved relaxing in the warm conservatory after our days out walking. Easy walking access to SW coast path and within 15 minutes car ride of Penzance and St Just.

A lovely, quirky place in a great location - I don’t think you could get a better location in Mousehole. The relationship with the Children’s book’The Mousehole Cat’ gives it an exceptional history. The house was cosy, comfortable and well appointed with high quality bathroom toiletries. We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly stay again and recommend it to others.

This was a fabulous find! Such a delightful home with excellent facilities. Very good kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bed - maybe too comfortable and so peaceful. Good shop in walking distance and close to wonderful beaches too. Really perfect.

Martin & Gila were excellent hosts, friendly & very helpful. The property was lovely, you had everything you could need. The beds were soooo! Comfortable. The location of the property was central to all of the Cornish places we had hoped to see. It was lovely to be able to feed Willow the beautiful mare & the friendly chickens. We will definitely come back to this property & hosts. We would highly recommend Church Cottage.

Absolutely stunning! spent a week here and it's the loveliest little spot, small but perfectly sized for 2 and a dog. Absolutely lovely host, left little treats for us on arrival and had recommendations in the area but also not intrusive. The cottage itself is perfect, so homey and had everything we could need. we used the log burner every evening while playing one of the board games provided and it was so cozy and nice. The area is absolutely wonderful, beautiful views, path right down to the beach, and so many lovely walks right of the door, we did the majority of our daily outings as a straight walk from the cottage and watched the sunset from the beach each night. the photos really do not do this place justice, it is truly absolutely stunning and we would LOVE to return !

Just returned from staying at Rebecca's wonderful, quaint fisherman's cottage,set in beautiful Mousehole. Perfect little escape, with everything required for my first romantic escape with my new partner. Couldn't have asked for anything more from Rebecca. Praze Barn is the loveliest place to stay for a peaceful retreat. We had the nicest time - the local area is amazingly beautiful and the barn felt fitting to return to as it was gorgeous, cozy and bright. Lots of great info about the area in the guide left in the house which was really useful. Would highly recommend to anyone, especially if you want a peaceful weekend away - perfect place to reset!

Perfect location in Porthleven, a short walk from the harbour and beach. Porthleven itself is ideally situated for exploring many of the surrounding areas by car. The property itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, perfect for our visit. We would happily stay again on a future trip to Cornwall!

We really enjoyed our stay it was perfect for what we had planned. The property was excellent and host most helpful and friendly. Would recommend staying there.

We had a really lovely stay at Apple loft, Alison was so friendly and great with communication. She added lots of personal touches, which was greatly appreciated. We brought our 6 month old and there was plenty of space around the bed for a travel cot, and Alison supplied a high chair. Alison sent her recommended places in the local area before we arrived, which was really helpful. We’d definitely recommend to anyone visiting the local area x

We had a brilliant few days at Melissa’s cottage. It was clean and very well presented. The location is not ideal with young children (I had a baby with a pram and a toddler) due to the hilly wall from the main harbour, but other than that it was the ideal getaway for us!
